Penguin Air in general over the last 4 years have been great up until today. every 6 months i get preventive maint. because i purchased a new unit. a tech by the name of joey m. did not call ahead of time even after sending 1 email and 2 text saying the tech would call 1/2 hour before hand. He rang the door bell and i received an alert on my phone so i rushed home- i already had a bad feeling about this. I am not home 12-14hrs a day so the a/c is either OFF or at a higher than normal temp so its not running all day when nobody is home. The tech comes in after spewing multiple excuses about not calling ahead and he proceeds straight to the vent and takes the temp (reminder the AC was left at 80-81 degrees YES it will be warm inside) jumps on his ipad and says I need an alternator/capacitator I immediately re-iterate everything i just said about not being home ect. ect. he proceeds to blurt out it doesn't matter its under warranty you don't have to pay for it BUT if your compressor is out you will have to pay for that this tech walked in my house a minute or two without properly diagnosing anything w/the actual unit. (side note: he was already on the roof before i got to my house rinsing the coils) he was very invasive and i was so uncomfortable w/the situation. He then tells me he has 10 plus years in HVAC and his uncle or dad own a HVAC company (red flag #1233) he starts to show me the alternator/capacitator and how its not showing voltage. who is to say he shorted the thing himself? he also mentions the part cost $400 BUT i don't have a compressor issue he was sure had a problem. I called customer service immediately and made them aware. the a/c was 100% FINE this was just a routine service they provide when you purchase a brand new unit its keeps your warranty valid BUT suddenly while the tech is on hand something is not working? company is great but this tech i had zero trust in. I signed off on the zero dollar invoice anyway and will pray i don't start to have issues. IF my a/c IS noticeably ice cold meaning there was in fact an issue i was not aware of i will gladly update this review.

Robert was very professional, personable, on time and knowledgeable. He diagnosed the problem immediately and knew exactly how to repair it and get it done quickly. I would use him again any time!

After I talked to their techinician and asure me that the work that needs to be done will be covered through my home warranty, they send a report stating the opposite. The guy was more concerned about collecting the money than doing the job.

Senior citizens beware of this company. They charged my elderly mother over $1,300 to replace a thermostat! They installed the most expensive option without consulting her. She doesn’t even have WIFI in her home and yet they installed the technically advanced unit that my mom will never use.The technician was rude, didn’t even try to attempt to communicate with my mom on how to use the thermostat. The technician had a new trainee that he pretty much ignored. The trainee was very nice and at least spoke to my mom.

Mike (One Of The Owners) reached out to me personally to discuss my mom’s experience. It was determined that there was a miscommunication, mostly on our end. The HVAC system my mom has requires a specific thermostat. No others are compatible. The Technician installed the least most expensive unit based on my mom’s lack of WIFI and ability to use thermostat. The Technician programmed the unit to be as user friendly as possibly. The Technician attempted to contact me but had an incorrect number, which we updated. We are very comfortable moving forward with the Hobaica Team!

Darren and Ryan managers at Goettl stated that they would not be sending me a check for the shoe they buried until I take down the review, even after I said I had not heard from them for several weeks until and I’m being blackmailed. I was originally told that I would be getting a check to replace the shoe they buried after leaving a muddy mess in my backyard but I have to abide by their rules. And let’s not forget the other mess they made.

Before writing this review I have made every attempt to get this issue resolved, through corporate office in Las Vegas, many phone calls to local plumbing office, emails and a recent complaint with Better Business Bureau.
Don't bother calling corporate - the prerecorded message states the owner Ken Goodrich makes the company committed to... but the office only has direct name recording.
I did not have any work done by this company however Goettl had to access my yard & in the process, left a broken mess. My leg was buried from mud along with my shoe. Instead of retrieving my shoe which anyone with any common sense would do after seeing my leg sink then just buried my shoe. Of course Goettl said they would buy me a new pair but a month later and no response, left me no choice but to go public.
Lastly, the issue with the muddy yard continues, and I sent video but still nothing.

12/2020 Absolutely the best experience I've ever had with a company from start to finish! Jason the sales representative was great ! He was professional, polite, friendly,and answered all my questions. They sent me a written estimate with discounts quickly. The installation team came on time and did a great job installing both my new AC and my gas furnace. They even fitted and played aluminum sheeting in the furnace area floor. The cleaned up everything before leaving. They came back 2 weeks later for final check and to make sure freon levels were good and that I was happy with my new AC. They installed surge protectors for both the AC and Furnace and installed a new thermostat too. The customer service was also outstanding! I've already recommend them to all my friends!Their prices are better then Parker & Sons and unlike Parker and Sons they weren't pushy and didn't try to sell me a more exspensive unit then I needed . Highly Recommend!!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐4/6/2022 5 STARS ! Another great experience with Day & Night thanks to Matthew the plumbing specialist from Day& Night. He came out for my Water heaters annual service. I have their VIP service plan that covers both my water heater and AC. Matthew B. Was fantastic & did a great job! He drained my water heater checked all it's valves and checked all the faucets,toilets and water shut off valves inside the house too. He gave me a replacement price to replace a few valves that were frozen. Matthew called to let me know how soon he would be arriving was punctual, professional & funny! I loved his southern charm and his southern sayings too! He explained what need to be done and sent me an estimate to replace the valves to my email. Thanks for wearing booties in the house too! Highly recommend their VIP service plan. Thanks to the customer service people too for always being friendly,helpful and professional!

They were prompt, knowledgeable, and explained everything before starting. Left the house with better air quality and in a such a clean state where you couldn't even tell they were there.

I recently purchased my first home. Needless to say me and my boyfriend are pretty clueless when it comes to maintenance so we purchased a home warranty plan. A few days ago our AC goes out (just as soon as we are starting to hit triple digits) so I put in a service call. First they referred me to some company where I left multiple messages for 24hrs and never spoke to anyone. I call my home warranty service back the next day to complain and they refer me to A Better PlaceLLC. I received a call from Scott (the owner) saying he would be out that day and he was at my home a few hours later. He's professional, confident, has a sincere friendly quality, knows what he's talking about and keeps it real. He's also friendly with pets :), my lil 4yr old french bulldog Bella was having the best time trying to distract him in anyway she could. After finding the issue with the AC he made a call in my favor to the warranty company that helped ensure that they cover the replacement part right away. He had the part readily available, and AC was back that night. From now on when I call my home warranty service I will only request A Better Place and should be TOP on the list. I also hired Scott to clean the coils of the air handler to help maintain the unit and have it working efficiently for the rest of the summer. He squeezed it into his schedule and returned the same week. This maintenance service is not covered by home warranty plans. The quote he gave me was the MOST REASONABLE PRICE OUT THERE, and you couldn't ask for any better service. A Better Place is truly the BEST PLACE. I highly recommend you CALL THEM FIRST. I called Second Opinion Plumbing late evening and they came out the next morning first thing. Their response time was incredible and they fixed the problem within a couple hours. Our main line was blocked up and they cleared it and showed us what the issue was and how to prevent it in the future. Great work and highly recommend them.

Huge kudos to Aldo!l Alliance Plumbing and Air. So welcoming to have a knowledgeable tech. Polite! He had evey item (tool, rag, bucket) he needed to perform excellent maintenance. Provided protection to the carpet as he worked and cleaned up afterwards. The world needs more people like Aldo.

We found it at the Chandler Costco on a sunday afternoon. If you are wondering who are the people that take up multiple parking spots wonder no more. If this is how they treat strangers I can't even imagine how they would treat their consumers. Selfishness at its finest for sure. Even if it was for a job then do they really need to park like that? I don't think so.

It says open 24/7 but it wasn't at 7:30pm on Friday.

Scott and Darrell were fantastic. We had a problem with an inspector on a project and Darrell helped me figure out exactly what we needed to do to make sure the inspector was happy. Scott was our technician and went above and beyond -- climbing up on the roof, jumping in muddy trenches, wading through a house full of construction debris. These guys are seriously awesome.
