2.3.2021 Update:I have used Penguin for my plumbing, electrical, and HVAC work and I will never use this company again. They love to throw in special “discounts” and free service agreement, but that is because they are so much more expensive than everyone out there. Their electricians are super condescending and way overpriced. Their plumbers are extremely overpriced. I had their service agreement, so we were able to get a free quote for fixing the tree root in our plumbing. Roto-Rooter offered a free quote without a service agreement and their quote for doing the work came in thousands below Penguin. Even their cost to just flush the line (something that should be pretty standard across the board) came in at almost 2x everyone else we spoke to. To make it even worse, they try to pressure you into making a quick decision. I got a phone call almost every day asking if they could start and they always said “I can fit you in tomorrow, but after that we are all booked for two months.” Next week, they said the same thing. Last week our AC went out. Had them give us a quote. We got 3 options from them, all were low end models, but they were going to throw in 2k and a 10% discount since they just had to rewire the entire unit (they also said our ducts were all completely undersized and needed replacing, without ever stepping foot into the attic to look at them). We got a quote from another well known company. He give us two options, both were well known good quality brands, with higher performance ratings, for about 3k less than Penguin WITH all of their “discounts.” This company is a scam and definitely not worth the money.Note: My high opinion of Nathan and JD still stands, though I think they need to find a better company.Old:Nathan and JD were extremely helpful in getting our AC back up and running after it unexpectedly stopped working while we were moving in to the new house.

Had an emergency situation and called them... they showed up super fast and were very nice and informative. Explained my problem and possible solutions and had me fixed up in no time. I've since called them for a couple other issues and always the same great service with a smile. Won't ever go anywhere else!

Terrible customer service. We had a blockage in our main line and called them on a Friday and set up an appointment for Saturday between 8-8:30 am and soon after the guy showed up it started raining so he left without performing the service. However after the rain stopped we tried calling them to see if anyone else could come out no one answered the phone. Me my boyfriend and his grandfather spent the rest of the day calling them until they closed leaving several voicemails and again in the morning still no answer. We instead called reddi services and they were here and the problem was resolved within half an hour. It wasn't until Monday I got a call back but our problem was resolved by a much more professional and reliable company. We will never use this company again

Scott and a helper (name escapes me) were on our roof a short time, but obviously knew what they were doing. It was just a heart beat or two and I could feel the warm air coming into my office. It was free of outside smells and appeared to be working properly. The two men came inside again and spent time at the thermostat. All was good and I appreciated Scott slipping on covers over his shoes. The helper remained on the rug at the door. Both are appreciated with my smile.

After hearing the original charge, a discussion was created with all participating and we received a senior discount and perhaps a LONG TIME CUSTOMER recognition. It was quite pleasant to save some money. Jack and I found Scott informative with what he did and he answered each question with confidence and even used his phone as a double checking device.

It is with confidence that we will recommend Hobaica to friends and neighbors and mention Scott K.'s name. We have been a customer of Hobaica back when the office was located on 27th Avenue just north of Glendale Avenue. Would not even attempt to have someone else come in.

Both Steven and Daniel, the trainee, were very courteous. Their professionalism was impeccable. Their manners and willingness to listen to me with my minor concern displayed the type of service men they are and will be. I found it interesting to watch Steven as he explained things to Daniel. He did it quietly and with respect for both Daniel and me. They were here to check the A/C and did so explaining the dust issue and how clean it up and what I could do in the future. They installed some screws to take care of the rattle of a panel that vibrated. I have heard that noise, but had not mentioned it to them. I sincerely appreciate them respecting my request regarding my dog and not handing me anything. The dog is a dear family pet, but you never know when someone new comes into the home what the reaction might be. It was obvious that these two gentlemen were just that gentlemen and certainly not a threat to me. I have recommended Hobaica to neighbors and friends when asked. It just so happens that one of those recommendations recently chose Hobaica to replace a unit on a backyard office/guest house. The conversation turned to the plumbing services Hobaica offers and I shared about how long the water takes to get hot when turned on in the shower or kitchen. Steven explained about a device can be placed on the farthest faucet that recirculates the water and I would have hot water in a flash. This is something I will be discussing soon. I will not hesitate to recommend Hobaica for A/C services and due to the high quality of service provided, I would recommend a friend investigate their other services. Thank you for once again taking care of the family home.

Updated Review from 5 to 1 Star:I have been with this company for YEARs, primarily for AC services. I always gave their company raves reviews and recommendations to friends and clients. I pay for VIP service to maintenance AC, adding plumbing recently. Had Tech come earlier in week to discuss updating my plumbing lines and turn off values to avoid future leaks. Given estimate of close to $900 and schedule for Sat 11th afternoon. Tech was here for a few hours, was told everything needed to be updated was done. Woke up on Monday morning, slipped and fell in master bath as not only was my master bath flooded so was the guest bath. Turn off new water value on toliet in guest bath as supply line ruptured/leaked, flooding room went through joining wall and flooded master. Called Day and Night, they sent new Tech who quickly stated that supply line in Guest toilet was clearly old and cheap and needed to be replaced. Company charged me additional $60.00 for new supply that was suppose to be replaced on Sat. Called to speak to office asking how 1) if the 2nd Tech stated it was clearly something that should have been replaced, why was it missed on Saturday? and 2) would they find it insult to injury to charge me additional for a $60.00 for a missed supply line from 1st Tech that flooded my home. I was told that, I wasn't charged a service charge to come out I only was (overcharged) for a 20.00 (at most) supply line. I reminded them that I did pay for the service charge since I purchased their VIP service. I asked for someone in plumbing management to look into the matter and get back to me. I told them I understood it was a Monday and they might need a day or two. That was 6/13/2022. The only call we received was from the schedule/sales office later that day while we were dealing with insurance and water migration company in our home, to talk to us about upgrading our water heater. We have yet to hear from Day and Night plumbing management. Bare minimum, we deserved an apology and credit of $60.00. Now I am out $300 for VIP service, $900 for incomplete updates, $60.00 supply line, $1200 insurance deductible, and since I work from home, cancelation for my June 13th clients losing $600.00 in income, now having to deal with days of fans to dry out rooms, weeks of dealing with insurance claims and repairs which will effect my future weeks incomes as well since I can't have repairs happening in same space as my clients need to be. I understand that mistakes happen but Day and Night simply needed to own that mistake and make it right, instead of avoiding the issue and me. This has seriously caused my faith in this business relationship to falter.

Responded quickly with technician showing up the next morning. Wire to cap was cooked and replaced along with new wiring. Freon was added to system as it was a pound low.

Total cast was under $1200.

I just clicked the first thing I saw when I googled “AC repair” and I’m so glad I chose ACE. Sierras helped me over the phone with scheduling and Dan was our techno and both were a big help immediately. We have had issues with our AC for over a year and our home warranty was only pushing off the inevitable. Within just a couple minutes, he got straight to the point and helped us narrow down our options. 10/10 recommend!

Once the technician actually shows up, they do an outstanding job. The problem is with scheduling. I waited around Sunday from 10-2, even called before 10am to confirm but they didn't show. When I called at 3pm they asked to reschedule. No reason given, the person I talked to asked but said the scheduler provided no reason. Their scheduling process needs work but their technicians do a great job once they get there.

I decided to have my AC checked since I will be needing it soon. Matt D. came today at the scheduled time. Promptness is important. He is very polite, seemed to know what to look for, took photos of the unit on the roof so I could see the situation and suggest how I could proceed. All good.

When I called Scott's for a last minute request they were very helpful and professional, however for my last min request they were not available on that day (understandably though - everyone is super busy!). Thankfully they connected me with another drain professional who immediately called and was able to go to my house and assess the situation for me. I'm just so thankful for a business who is willing to look beyond their own business or financial gain and really just care about the client being taken care of, even if it wasn't them who would get the business. I already have Scott's scheduled for a different request and plumbing need. Thank you for your professionalism and care for the client!

We found it at the Chandler Costco on a sunday afternoon. If you are wondering who are the people that take up multiple parking spots wonder no more. If this is how they treat strangers I can't even imagine how they would treat their consumers. Selfishness at its finest for sure. Even if it was for a job then do they really need to park like that? I don't think so.
