I would first like to say I was completely satisfied with the work done. The guys were professional and courteous. The main issue I had was the cost of the project. We had our well pump replaced as well as some additional wiring and a smaller pump. I worked in the trades for years and fully understand the cost of doing a good job. I estimated the materials used on the job and came up with about $3000 in materials. That is with a fair and reasonable mark up. There were 2 workers at the house for 5 hours. The total bill was a little over $6000. After paying the $59 service call and the $3000 in materials that leaves $2950 in labor. That brings the hourly rate to $600 per hour for 2 guys. I fully expect to pay a little more for good quality work, However there is a point where as a customer you feel completely taken advantage of. As much as I appreciated the quality of the work, I would not use them again. I feel taken advantage of.I appreciate your response to my review. Yes I was quoted up front for the job, and opted to eliminate several of the add on suggested items on the quote that were not necessary to restore the water service to the house. I understand that you do not charge by the hour. My issue was based on the assumption that the job was much bigger and more involved than 2 techs and 5-6 hours of work. The estimate included wording such as excavation from the well to the house, not 2 men with shovels, and 35 min of hand digging. The well is 2 feet from the house. I do feel taken advantage of simply because the overall materials and labor are beyond what I would consider to be fair and reasonable. I do understand that this was not based on an hourly rate plus materials. At the end of the day labor and materials are how you guys arrive at your bottom line, and make money.I take responsibility for the fact that I should have gotten several estimates before doing the work. The house belongs to my elderly in-laws. I was taking care of it for them, and wanted to get things resolved quickly. I am not questioning your honesty or work ethic. I just feel that the labor and material required to complete the work, was beyond what I would consider to be fair and reasonable.

Needed a valve replaced. Service person did not show up with correct tools for the job. Took almost an hour to turn the main water valve off, then needed to leave to acquire the correct key to shut the water off. Mind you the water meter was installed by the city less than 24 hours prior. Repeat trips to service truck (15-20x), then needed to leave (again) to acquire the parts he needed to do the job. Also, informed them of what service was needed. So you figure they would show up with the parts needed. No estimate given. Then charged 2 hours labor, plus parts and a service charge.

Recently had Mayer plumbing install a new outside water spigot. Jason was my installer. He was very professional. He was on time, courteous, and quick on the install. I would definitely recommend Mayer plumbing.

Ron was always available to reach and gave honest feedback. I felt that we were in good hands throughout the process. Our house is a 1915 colonial that had no duct work. Ron presented a thoughtful solution. When Ron & Chris came for the installation, they were very polite and pleasant. You can tell they love their job and their customers. We are pleased with the operations and the appearance of the Daikin units they chose for each room. After the installation, Ron came back to ensure the system was running properly and meeting our expectations. I really appreciate the hard work and great all-around service from Pompeii.

H. Jack's was able to help us out of a sticky (literally) situation with a clogged pipe. Called for an appointment and had someone out the next day. Plumberz were knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. When they couldn't quite figure out the clog, they stayed past the appointment time to provide us with extra help to finally get our drain cleared. This is the first time ordering a plumber for our new home so I can't comment on relative price but we figured it seemed reasonably priced for the work they did. Will be using again to clear serious clog or for permanent plumbing work!
