We had a 5 head mini split system installed by Ron & Chris. The entire experience was fantastic, from the quote stage to the final day of installation. Ron was always available to reach and gave honest feedback. I felt that we were in good hands throughout the process. Our house is a 1915 colonial that had no duct work. Ron presented a thoughtful solution. When Ron & Chris came for the installation, they were very polite and pleasant. You can tell they love their job and their customers. We are pleased with the operations and the appearance of the Daikin units they chose for each room. After the installation, Ron came back to ensure the system was running properly and meeting our expectations. I really appreciate the hard work and great all-around service from Pompeii.

This is by far the best company in Northeast Ohio. I am not new to owning a home and have been through my fair share of services. I have a high level of expectation for both a company and their employees. I do not accept subpar performances by either. The staff is more than accomodating to any emergency/unique situation. They are knowledgeable and work very quickly to provide exactly what you need. Their pricing is more than fair and their quality of work exceeds my expectations. Every single technician that has been in my home has done the most exceptional work. I have had an R.O. System installed as well as 2 filter changes, a sump pump replaced, and a major gas leak repaired. The extensive amount of work on my home has been overwhelming and having their compassion makes all of the difference. Both my husband and I have each been alone with them while work was being done and are more than comfortable with any them in our home taking good care of us. Any person home alone having work done should be 100% safe at all times. I do NOT write recommendations for ANY company that has sent questionable people to my home.
Bill spent an entire day here in the freezing cold to fix our gas leak and stayed with us to make sure we were ok until our gas company confirmed they would turn our heat back on. He made himself available to us that evening in case of an emergency. He called me the next morning and made sure we were ok. I highly recommend Pompeii to everyone. Quality people doing quality work.

Pompeii has handled my heating, cooling and plumbing for years. I have a maintenance plan for HVAC and have bought both my AC unit and furnace from them. James was an absolutely fantastic and knowledgeable plumber, while he was not able to fix the issue I was having with my water heater, he was able to recommend me an electrician to further explore what may be wrong with my water heater as it is an electrical not a gas tankless water heater.

Allen and Mike are wonderful. We have sent them to many properties that we manage and have presented them with some very challenging dilemmas. They have always come through for us. I’m typically not a review writer, however, my recent experiences warrant a review. We hired Pompeii’s to replace the toilet wax ring which had started leaking. Their service technician came and replaced, all is good, Right! Well, in this case, he missed the fact that the toilet flange was also damaged. The leak continued. We contacted again and James C. Arrived. I was unable to be home so he took the time to take pictures, send to me and then phoned me to discuss what needed to be done. Yes, they inadvertently missed on the original visit the toilet flange damage
But, James C. responded and quickly resolved the leak issue to our satisfaction. What made this review necessary, they also adjusted my bill accordingly so I did not have to pay added costs as they took ownership of the missed toilet flange issue. This is a company that not only deserves my respect but also earned it. Honest, Hard working service technicians that are knowledgable, professional, courteous & go the extra mile to satisfy their Customers. Ron came out and was very thorough! explained in detail every thing he was doing and wasn't doing and why. I felt very comfortable with the whole process from scheduling the appointment the the final invoice. We have them scheduled for the AC tune up in the spring and will have them back out next fall for the furnace tune up again. If you're looking for a HVAC company, look no further.

EDIT: We've had 3 different appointments for them to service the AC unit...each time they've called to reschedule. I feel like they're stealing from me since I paid for the service last year during the furnace tune up. I will update this if I hear anything back from them, good or bad.

EDIT 2.0: after having the appointment canceled and rescheduled 3 times I asked to have the money spent on the yearly maintenance program refunded. 15 minutes later they called and Ron was on his way to service the AC unit! He is the reason we may use them again. I’m just amazed at how poorly they handled the schedule. One time I can absolutely understand but three times is disrespectful.

I recently put in a tankless water heater and Pompeii's was fantastic helping me decide where to put it and which option to choose. They were very professional. I would highly recommend Pompeii's! Great customer service from Pompeii. So happy my sister recommended them. We called on a Wednesday morning and had two people out that afternoon to provide an estimate for a new, gas hot water tank. Our water tank was installed on Friday and the technician was prompt, courteous and completed the job in a short amount of time. We are very pleased and will definitely call Pompeii for any future heating/cooling needs.

Called Pompeii for a few plumbing projects. The quote was reasonable, the staff very friendly and the 2 technicians that did the work were very professional. They didn't make any mess and the work was very well done as well as quick but not hurried. Highly recommend Pompeii.

We needed a plumber to come look at our furnace & our wall mounted heater because the gas co. Said that they had leaks. We called Pompeii’s and they sent a guy out the next day. Dave was nice and easy to talk to. He answered all of my husbands questions & we both felt good about the job he did. In future I’ll see if I can request him if he’s available. This isn’t the 1st time we’ve called Pompeii’s, we keep calling them because we are happy with the results.

Pompeii's is a very reliable company.

I have had a terrible year with both my old heating and air conditioning units dying six months apart, which has caused significant emotional and financial stress. But Pompeii's was wonderfully helpful in ensuring that I got the best units I could afford, and in helping me understand all of my options. They also helped clear up the mess I was left with when the former heating company I was with went out of business, which evidently was done to several of that company's customers who Pompeii's inherited.

Pompeii's installation and clean up were done professionally and without issues. They were efficient and clean, and friendly and respectful. Larry, in particular, was great, and is clearly dedicated to doing an excellent job. He took care of me in the summer, and during the free winter tune up a year after they installed the heater. (How great is a free tune-up?)

My air conditioning works beautifully compared to the antique junk I had when I bought my house. The heater, too! I would highly recommend Pompeii's for your work!

This company is awful. This company does shoddy, substandard, inferior, work. This company is dishonest, and this company does not honor its warranties. This company falsified documents to try to get out of honoring the warranties that I was supposed to have. Consumers beware. If you want the work done correctly, if you want a company that honors its warranties, HIRE A DIFFERENT COMPANY.

Words cannot express how impressed I am with Bob H. and Chris for the work they did during the first free furnace service maintenance appointment on 2/6/19. They took the time to diagnose and correctly fix a rattling noise in the Goodman furnace. Bob and Chris are a valuable asset to Pompeii's Plumbing & Heating Inc. I am extremely pleased to have purchased the furnace along with an air conditioner from the company.

Our furnace needed replacement and the people at Pompeii did a fantastic job. Our current furnace was not able to work safely, and the people at Pompeiis just pedal thru hoops to get our new furnace in quickly. The promise date was met perfectly and the installation was top knot have. Their prices are very good and the follow up service is great.

I would recommend their people as very professional and competent.

After researching many plumbers for my sump pump I decided Pompeii's was the best for my needs. They followed up with lots of information to help me make a decision and get my sale. Where they failed is in the way of service once I gave them the business. This, in my opinion is the larger measure of a good company. One that is there when things don't go so well…not one that over delivers during the sale.

On March 15 my basement suffered water damage as a result of a poorly secured gasket during their install. The tech apparently didn’t secure the gasket tight enough and water began to shoot out all over the dry wall, carpeting and door. Thankfully we were home to minimize the damage. While someone did come out from Pompeii to secure it, I got ZERO follow-up from management. No phone call or even letter of apology. No one acknowledged my damaged and warped door or my soggy carpeting or my soiled dry wall. I didn’t expect much, though some communication from management would have been nice. Particularly since I was told I’d hear back in a couple of days. They simply swept my situation under the rug and ignored it. Mistakes happen! I understand that! Though when they do a good company addresses them.

My water heater started leaking from the top Sunday night and it was obvious it needed to be replaced. I saw that Pompeii's had a nice BBB rating and gave them a try. I called first thing Monday morning and was surprised a bit when I was told someone would be out there later in the morning (I expected having to wait a day or two). Chris & Mike came out and from start to finish did an excellent job replacing my water heater. They did the COVID mask thing, wore booties when coming into the house from the outdoors, and took great care in keeping things as clean and neat as possible as one can in the situation. I appreciated the fact that Chris took the time to get the plumbing set-up right and not just throw a bunch of joints etc. together from the line to the water heater. After checking a number of times to make sure everything was working smoothly they cleaned up and hauled everything away in their truck. Both Chris & Mike were professional yet friendly which I did appreciate. I will certainly use Pompeii's for any future plumbing needs.

Our Technician, Chris, did a fantastic job.
Our water heater failed and leaked all over our basement. While other companies couldn’t come out for days to weeks, Pompeii had their technician, Chris come out the next day when I called that morning after the leak (no emergency charge) . He was up front, knowledgeable, respectful, and let me choose what I thought was best for our situation with no pressure to upsell equipment if I didn’t see fit. The fact that we only had to go 24hrs without hot water is a win. I’d certainly recommend the technician and company for your needs.

Great service. Chris O. came to the house to repair a busted pipe and was on time, friendly as could be, and did the repair quickly and with minimal interruption. We expected to pay a lot more than we did. Very happy with the visit and the result.

I had a boiler installed in 11-2018 by another Heating Company that left me a constant gurgling noise thru the system they could not solve. Robert H from Pompeii came in to quote a solution but immediately knew what was needed. He went to his truck came back replaced a manual air valve on the boiler with a Amtrol Float Type Air Vent! Solved my problem almost immediately. I cannot believe I lived with that noise every winter day for 18 months. If I could give them 10 stars I would >>>> Robert is simply the BEST!!!

Negative stars if possible. This company is terrible. They are more interested in selling you an entire new system you don't need rather than fix the issue. They did not fix my system, instead they actually kept one part of my geothermal system and then gave me some b.s. story about the company was going out of business and they didn't have my part. Never fixed it but had no problem charging me.👎👎👎👎👎

I would never recommend this company to anyone. I had a “technician” out and he tinkered with the furnace vice replacing a part and charged $200. We then fast forward a week said part breaks I have no heat. Thank god we have a great company in Brunswick that cares, they are here fixing the issue

I had Pompeii come and service my boiler. The plumber was super nice and professional. Answered all my questions and was very informative.

I called Pompeii on Tuesday and had a repairman at my house by Wednesday morning. Chris H was my repairman. Gotta say, he was excellent! He troubleshot some issues I was having with my sump pump and fixed them within a few hours. He also answered any questions I had regarding my sump pump. A+ service. Would recommend highly.

Technician Ralph installed a new faucet and stop valves for our bathroom sink. He was very courteous and thorough with the installation.

The service was needed quickly and Pompeii came through when I needed them. Thomas is very knowledge and cheerful and his work was excellent!

Our 16 year old water heater suddenly developed a slow leak. I phoned Pompeii's and they were able to come on the same day and install a new water heater. The technicians, Bill and Chris, were forced to work by flashlight due to a power outage in our neighborhood that occurred just as they started disconnecting the old heater. They did a great job in spite of the challenge and were finished in two and one-half hours! I strongly recommend Pompeii's Plumbing and Heating to everyone!

I am not a review writer, however, my experience with Pompeii Plumbing does require a review. OUTSTANDING!
I had a accidental drain pipe leak. I called EVERY plumbing company listed in my area, no one could come out that day or the next (thanksgiving was the following week) I asked for recommendations for a plumber on fb and a friend recommended Pompeii Plumbing. I almost did not call because they are not located locally so I figured why bother. I was desperate for help. To my surprise the dispatcher said that she could have someone out the morning of the next day. But next day came I received a call saying he got tied up and wasn’t able to make it out. I will admit I was extremely disappointed. However, she told me I’d be first on the list Monday morning, someone else was available. On Monday the tech James Carpenter arrived. I can not rave enough about this man. He immediately put me at ease. His demeanor was very approachable and friendly. Professional and patient. Being a first time homeowner of only 5 years his professionalism and patience met a great deal to me. He explained everything that he did and took time to answer my many questions. He accessed the problem but came to a area where I needed an electrician so could not do the repairs that day. James said after the electrical issues was resolved he’d try to come back that evening or definitely the next day. There was a mix up with the dispatcher getting James back out early in the morning but he did arrive that afternoon on time. Doing this gave him a long day because I was almost 2 hours out of the way. I must stress that he could have said no and rescheduled. However, he promised me service so James showed up. He stayed late and he finished the job well passed his normal quitting time. IMPRESSIVE! I have found my plumbing company I will use from now on, I now have a trusted, loyal, patient plumber. James Carpenter is the guy and Pompeii Plumbing Sewer and drain is the company I will use! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Very happy with my experience. They spent the entire day at our home installing a sump pump and fixing leaky shut off valves. They were thorough, explained everything, and did a great job in their actual work. They probably underestimated the time the job would take. I would definitely recommend!

From the quoting to the product to the installation, Pompeii's was absolutely the best. We were on the fence about getting a tankless water heater for our home, and they answered all our questions. Matt was very responsive in providing the quote, and scheduling our install. Rocky and Chris did an outstanding job in the installation, even providing a couple of valves as a courtesy. All of these gentlemen were professional, courteous, and efficient. We're relatively new to the area, and Pompeii's now has a customer for life. Couldn't be more pleased! As an aside, if anyone is on the fence about a tankless water heater, go for it....they're great!

This is the 3rd time I have used Pompeiis. They installed a bathroom for us, repaired damaged pipes when I decided to drill into the wall without checking to see what I was drilling into and drilled through the pipes, and to install a dishwasher. Very pleased with every job. We still need a new water tank installed but that will be later on and we will be using Pompeii again. Issac and James O were the gentleman that have worked on our house and they were both excellent with what they did. Thank you.

The Tech Larry was very professional and took care to wear a mask when entering my home during this Covid-19 crisis. As always he did the tune-up quick, and safe. I have been using Pompeii's for years and they have always been professional, responsive and friendly. I have never had to have them return to correct something they have done. What an outstanding company! Sending a huge shout out and THANK YOU from Love A Stray Cat Rescue!!! David & Mike came out to help with locating a cat that had been hit by car in Avon last night. Our rescue team saw the cat dragging his hind legs go down a rabbit hole beyond our reach! There was nothing we could do. This morning Heidi sent out David and Mike who threaded their camera into the hole for a look. No cat. We can only hope he managed to crawl out during the night. Ian from Pompeii's came out to diagnose my drain issue. He did far more than any other plumber did for diagnosing the problem. He opened up the drain cleanout in the basement, scoped it and showed me where the problems were. He also gave me a good, better, best pricing to help me in my time of need and gave no high pressure sales. Ian's crew arrived as scheduled and completed replacing the cast iron drains in my house, replaced it going out the house to the yard and repaired the piping more than half way out the yard in 9 hours. when they were repairing the pipe in the yard they tested to see if the connecting pipe from the kitchen was working properly to which they found a problem and fixed on the spot. They arrived, performed the work and cleaned up in 9 hours... They even raked the dirt in the front yard to make the area as neat as could be! They came well prepared and didn't have to make any trips to the hardware store which saved a lot of time. Ian's crew was very carful to wear coverings over their shoes when they came through the house to not bring any dirt or gunk into the house. They were very informative with what they were doing and offered advise for future plans I had. from beginning to end I was more than pleased with the work provided and the timeliness they did it in. Quality work at a good price! Pompeii's will always have my business.

Ron was absolutely amazing! The first time he came out (at 4 am no less!) he was professional and had a fantastic can-do attitude. He was extremely knowledgeable and was able to quickly get my furnace running again until he could get the needed part. He ordered the part as promised and followed up promptly. Needed a sewer line cleanout. I've consulted with the city and other plumbers, and Ian from Pompeii's took the time to thoroughly inform me of the issue, and was able to resolve it and recommend future action in a non-sales-pressure way. He also pointed out some other situations that were helpful to know about. It was a very difficult rootball, but Ian and Chris persevered and took care of it. I'm a happy customer.

We called Pompeii's in the morning, and they had a service member at our house within 2 hours. Adam took the time to go over everything with my husband. He did not find anything clogging our pipes, so he suggested we call out city to have them look. After having our city and county come out over the next few days, they referred us back to a plumber to clear a clogged pipe that was hooked into our main pipe. Adam was back at our house the next day, and for no additional charge, he cleaned out our clog, and gave us tips to prevent the backup from happening in the future. He was very informative, respectful, and polite. They worked with us on pricing, and we now have a dependable plumbing company we can call if we need one in the future.

They just replaced my water heater. They put in a good line, AO Smith Proline, which is better than what they carry at Lowe's. Work was professional, quick, and clean. The job was done early afternoon on the day I called them.

Chris was awesome! He was able to troubleshoot our problem efficiently and the results look great. we had a sewer gas leak from under our upstairs washer and he was able to determine the safest and best course of action for resolving our problem. He will be our go-to for sure!

Chris Orne from Pompeii's Plumbing removed an old toilet and installed a new one for us. He was very friendly, thorough and knowledgeable and did an overall excellent job. I have hired Pompeii's in the past and will continue to hire them in the future. If we need a plumber in the future, we would love to have Chris come back and provide service for us again.

Thanks Tony, the sink drains great. Always professional. They have replaced my hot water tank, furnace, and our sump pump. They are my first choice.

I have been using Pompeii's Plumbing & Heating for over 10-years and cannot say enough Great things about them! The life expectancy of a heat pump is 10-15 years. My entire heating system was over 30-years old and I attribute Pompeii's Excellent work to keeping it running for as long as it did.

In April (on a Sunday, no less), a capacitor exploded and started a fire in the indoor unit. I'm in tears knowing I couldn't afford a new system at that time. Larry (a tech who treats me like family and has worked on my system for years!), got parts to 'resurrect' it but stated it was temporary --it could last a week, could last a few months-- but you need a new system!

I had to pull the trigger on November 29th for a new heating system and, because I was down to about 3 minutes of hot water, I decided to add a new hot water heater, too. I used their finance company who made it easy and far less painful, lol.

I highly recommend Pompeii's and couldn't imagine any other place doing work in my home. They will go out of their way to repair things in the most cost effective way and will not try to sell you something you don't need. Don't hesitate to give them a call!

Do Not call them to install anything in your house. I called them to install a dishwasher. I asked the receptionist what an estimated cost would be. She was not able to give me an estimate to install a dishwasher. That's ridiculous. I'm sure they have installed that type of appliance before. So I cancel my Lowes install, which was only $150. The installer shows up and tells me it will be $450 to install. That is the classic bait and switch. I would highly suggest you check with other plumbers and ask for a estimate before they arrive at your house. BTW.. the repairman didn't even seem to care if they got the business or not. Go somewhere else to have your work done.

They saved the day for me last night. The lady who took my call was very pleasant and kind on the phone, Adam came out sooner than the time he quoted me and replaced our sump pump quickly. He was very professional and very down to earth. He helped find a restoration company and by the end of job we shared some laughs like we were good friends. Highly recommend them. Amazing group of people.

Tried to schedule an estimate to have work done. The main office is very good to work with. They scheduled an estimate window between 8 am and 9 am and called the night before to confirm. However the individual did not arrive during the designated window. I called the office to inform them that I needed to cancel the appointment - I could not wait past 9 a.m. The individual eventually showed up at 9:30 a.m. - I was already gone by that point. Office personnel were very helpful and polite - but never got a chance to experience their work.

Chris O. came to replace our faucet. Great guy who clearly knows what he is doing. Very professional, genuinely a good person who does the job right and cares about what he is doing. I will definitely be sure to call them for any future plumbing needs, and recommend Pompeii AND Chris O. to anyone who needs their service. Couldn't expect any better than the service we received today.

Hired company approximately 6 months ago, completed work, no communication what so ever after work was performed, very unprofessional, didn’t pull proper city permits, used Covid-19 as an excuse, didn’t perform exactly what was asked for, exterior main sewer line was the job replacement, remove and replace with proper permits, however they failed to pull permits and didn’t complete the full line, when I reached out I got no response from company , once I finally got ahold of the receptionist she stated id hear back, they stated we are scared to hit the main water line/gas line going from end of sidewalk to curb while performing work, which started to raise red flags, but being a first time home owner dealing with a major main sewer line break they completely took advantage of the situation! Also the price/estimate was from house to curb, also provided no protection on sidewalk/driveway which caused multiple damages, I would highly disregard any of the 5 star reviews for any major work!

First time trying to use this service
Realize that during a recent city wide outage, they may have been busy or backed up, yet, they kept saying on-call person would call. 14 hours later.......nothing!! At least, call back to be honest and say THAT, just as a courtesy. After all, one may have to make arrangements for life that's still going on, in addition to awaiting for repairs......I hope other people are receiving call backs......

Sal and his associates performed the repair services in an efficient and professional manner. They got my drain working using a water jet. They cleaned up afterward. I am most pleased with their services.

I called them because i was smelling sewer smell in my basement. They wanted to charge me almost 600 dollars to put a camera down my drain to check for a broken pipe. The man told me best case scenario all i would need was a new wax seal for my toilet, he quoted me 271 DOLLARS to change the wax seal and reset the toilet. That is ludicrous.

All around good service! We had Pompeii out to do routine maintenance and liked their work.

The answering service was trying to helpful but they overloaded with calls. When i did talk with one rep that wasn't as helpful. The next morning first thing the owner Matt called me personally. He himself and a helper came out in his personal vehicle, found the leak and got the parts and came back and fixed himself before one of his trucks could even make it. This day and age you don't see the owner doing a job himself, Pompeii's owner will do the job if needed. Thanks again Matt!!! I recommend them highly.

Great people. They always keep in touch with you when they are working on a job, and they are always courteous.

Mike did a fantastic job. Was given an arrival window of between 8a and 9a and he got there shortly after 8a. Was very polite, quick inspection of the issue, gave us three different pricing options, went right to work after we made our choice, and was done with everything including payment by 9a. He even brought our morning paper from the driveway to our porch! I was very happy with this service and would definitely use this company again.

I’m so glad I called Pompeii’s plumbing!! They were able to give me same day service on a water tank replacement and my family was able to take hot showers that same night! Their customer service was great! The girl I spoke to when I called was very knowledgeable and extremely patient with all the questions I had! From the moment the crew came (ON TIME I might add) I knew I was in good hands! The guys were professional and considerate of my home, and were able to diagnose the problem quickly, and give me on the spot pricing. I’m so glad I chose Pompeii’s plumbing!

Ralph was absolutely wonderful. Was having an issue with my garbage disposal and clogged sink. Pompeii’s came out the next day. Ralph was able to find and resolve the issue quickly. He was very upfront and honest about cost and options and did not try to upsell me. Would certainly use them again.
