I have used this company a couple times. One for a large job two years ago and just the other day for a small job.
I needed the service quickly in the afternoon and they had a guy out quickly.
I think they do a great job for a fair price.

They came out quickly and finished the job fast and professionally.

My experience with H. Jack's has been nothing short of excellent. I'll make four points about H. Jack's:

1. Every single employee is extremely professional and knowledgeable.

2. H. Jack's is not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for. This isn't guy with a plumbing truck...these are experts who know what they are doing and have the resources to complete any job.

3. H. Jack's is a company that stands behind its work...period. I've done lots and lots of work at my house with H. Jack's and there have been some issues that required more than your typical service - they've never let me down - ever. I call, they answer and show up on time.

4. I like to work with nice people that treat me fairly. John, the owner, and Patrick, the #2, are class acts who understands customer service. Jeff J., their top technician, has spent days at my house on various projects - he never let me down and when the problems seemed almost unfixable, he rolled up his sleeves and got the job done for me.

I know that this review probably sounds like it was written by someone at H. Jack's...it wasn't. I'm a regular guy that doesn't mind paying a touch more for best-in-class service.

They were on time are very courteous and polite questions I had they were able to answer for me and their work was very good and also they cleaned up behind themselves and I really did appreciate that

I utilized H Jack's Plumbing when my furnace stopped working in the middle of winter. They responded in about an hour and was able to get my old furnace functioning again. Because of their quick response and the technician that responded, I purchased my furnace from them as well.
They are quick, clean, respectful, and I would recommend this company and their services.

Mr. Bill Bradshaw did an excellent job! When he arrived he surveyed my home, asked questions and even took a peek in my crawl space. Great work! Toilet works great. Fabulous flushing power!

My experiences (3 total) have all been what anyone should expect looking for service they can trust. That's the cardinal rule for services like this- integrity. I received written copies of the work performed, and they were punctual for sure. While plumbing can be very expensive, I didn't ever have to ask them out to fix their work, and by bundling jobs together, I saved some. I look forward to more positive jobs well done in the future. Thank you for all you do.

To pricey

Had them come out and give me a quote for a leaking drain pipe in the wall. They always answer their phone's and they came out next day to look at the problem. They get 3 stars because their prices are high and they kept wanting to give me quotes to replace other things that wern't broke! I did not end up going with them. My advice is if your issue can wait try to find a solid 1-2 man plumbing team that doesn't have all of the over head costs that you as the customer are stuck paying for.

I had a H Jacks service man come out to service my furnace and air conditioner. He proceeded to tell me that I need a new thermostat to the tune of $437 (note Lowe's has thermostats for $80), a new furnace and air conditioner. Told me that I had a leak which would would cost $575 just to try to figure out where it was leaking. Got a second opinion and was told by a much more reputable company that my unit is working fine. H Jack's came into my home and saw that they were dealing with not only a female, but a female in a wheelchair and thought they could take advantage. They were sorely mistaken. They will never set foot in my house again. I will never recommend them to anyone. They are a rip off.

They came in, installed a new AC & Furnace in no time. Nice job H. Jack!

They were on time,knowledgeable and neat and have done the jobs the first time. I have used their services for heating, cooling, plumbing and hot water tanks for over 15 years and all have been a positive experience.

We were VERY pleased by the rapid response to our plumbing crisis, which was fixed by 2 workers in a timely fashion!

Called for emergency repair of my boiler/baseboard heat. They were here in literally 15 minutes! Got it up and running! very knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. A little pricey, but expected for the quick Saturday emergency service! Definitely recommend!

We have dealt with H. Jacks for at least 8 years. They were prompt in getting our proposal and fast in getting the work completed. They even came out when we saw a minor problem and fixed it immediately. (It was not even H. Jacks fault) Friendly service guys and very experienced. Love having this company around

Wow. I’m impressed and sorry I didn’t call them sooner. I have been dealing with a clogged kitchen sink for a month and a half. Previous plumber thought he fixed the issue, took my money and ran.
I had the pleasure of working with Daryk and Matt! These guys came out and had it unclogged in under 30 minutes!!! And it was actually cheaper than the guy who didn’t fix my issue. Multiple family members and friends recommended HJACKS to me. I’m so happy I decided to go through with them!

Extremely outrageous estimate tech gave me a 325.00 estimate for a job i paid 90.00 for after he left that included parts and labor . did not need half of the items done on the estimate shop around people get a handyman

We called H Jacks for a second opinion regarding an issue with a leaky faucet. They were the only company that responded in a timely manner. The plumber was very courteous and professional and confirmed what we had been told previously. I would definitely call them again.

My experience with H. Jack's was one of the most positive experiences I've ever had with a company fixing something inside my home. The crew did excellent work, and I have peace of mind looking at my bathroom for the first time since we bought our home 3 years ago. When I called them I was annoyed that I was going to have an unexpected expense (really it was just a matter of time). Today I feel like it was the best money I've spent on this home. This is the only plumbing company I'll call moving forward.

The crew members who worked on our home were professional and followed all COVID guidelines. These guys really turned what started out as a bad situation into a great experience.

Like many of the other reviewers, I called H. Jack's in a panic as well. It was well after midnight when our sewer backed up and we were praying that they could send someone to us at that time of night.

Our technician was Keith and, BLESS HIS HEART, he was at our house within minutes! He had been working all day and was exhausted but still managed to provide superior customer service, clearly and concisely diagnose our issue and returned to our home the next morning to make the repairs!!

There are not enough stars in the world that I can give this company! Are they pricey? Yes! But you can't put a price on great customer service and the peace of mind you get from knowing that you have skilled professionals who will take care of you. H. Jack's will be the ONLY plumber I call in the future.

My tenant called this company for my furnace not working . The people from this company came out and seen that someone had turned the thermostat off. They turned the thermostat switch to on and then charged$165 for that service. I have never seen anything like this in my life. A service call is only $65. I recommend anyone check with 3or4 companies before deciding who you want to fix your furnace. Plumbing people working on a furnace? Unbelievable

I had Chip and Dylan out to repair a leaking water line behind a wall. They were very professional, thorough, and courteous. Chip made sure that I knew exactly what the steps were in order to complete the task. I would definitely call this business again for service!

*UPDATE* The owner called me and we talked through the issue. He was very polite, and I would honestly give H Jack's another try after that conversation.

H Jack's told me my sewer line was collapsed and they would have to tear up the entire front yard. After getting multiple other estimates, I was told it actually was not collapsed. Now I'm saving thousands of dollars!

I use Hjack plumbing all the time. They are very professional. I see people complaining about the pricing but let’s face it plumbing is expensive and I want the work done right. They’ve never disappointed me!

They are pretty quick to dispatch people to your house, and do good quality work. They have upgraded our sewer, serviced our baseboard heating system, and upgraded our upstairs bathtub plumbing. Would definitely recommend.

Quick and fairly priced replacement of my home furnace.

Did a satisfactory job on a Sunday service. I'm not particularly fond of paying a diagnostic fee of 89.99 for a condition I already had diagnosed. The gentleman was at my home within an hour and a half of calling. Expect and large bill for a simple snake job. 349 for what I got is a big bill.

After a calling around to several other competitors who didn't really seem to be professional on the phone, we were so relieved to speak to Greg who blew them all out of the water with his excellence in service. He truly listened to our needs and showed enthusiasm in helping us with the emergency. We didn't think we'd have the issue fixed so soon, as we are out of state landlords and the job required scheduling with tenants and a property manager. I saw two employees when getting my quote and service. I had a water line run for my new fridge and the work was done beautifully. I call hjacks for all of my plumbing, heating, and cooling. They are very appreciative of their customers and i appreciate them.

We have used H Jack's 3 times in the last year for a new furnace, A/C and to fix our pressure valve off our main water line. They were professional each time, and were very prompt when I called them about our leak in the basement. They came out that night to fix our water leak which I appreciated. There was a miscommunication at one point about who can/cannot turn off the main city water line. (The sales guy had told me that the plumber could do it, but the office said they wouldn't do it). We will be using H Jack's again for future projects.

Had H. Jack’s do 3 separate jobs in the past 2 months, 2 planned and one unplanned.

The 2 planned jobs involved replacing my kitchen sink’s water outtakes, water heater, and a couple of old shut off valves that were corroded and not working properly.

The servicemen that showed up for the jobs - Ben V. and an assistant whose name is not on the contract for the sink and water tank; and Bill S and Shawn for the valve replacement - were very thorough in their initial inspections and up front in their opinions about how to do the job right. I have had no problems with anything they worked on to date, and their handiwork was exceptional. They left everything as they found it and made little to no mess at all.

The unplanned job was due to a backup of my water outtake that spilled ever so slightly into my basement. I called on the Sunday before Labor Day and within 2 hours had a rep named Bill B at my door. Like with the planned jobs, Bill was up front in providing me options for how to fix the issue; and upon choosing how to handle the problem got in contact with another local rep named Brian who showed up with the tools needed to complete the job that day. As part of the job, 2 days later a rep named Ben showed up with a camera and was able to show me where the trouble spots were and gave me great advice for how to manage the issue until I was ready to get a full replacement done.

I will be calling H. Jack’s when the time comes for that job.

We own our own business and have used hjacks for all the repairs needed. They are responsive and stand behind their work. We will continue to use hjacks going forward and thank them for their level of professionalism.

The Plumbers were very professional with their work!

My husband and I had a leaky pipe and also needed the pipes reconfigured. Within an hour Alex arrived. The repair took longer than expected, but Alex gave us an amazing discount! My husband did assist Alex with the repair, but the total cost was less than $100!!! I could not be happier with our service! Alex was nice, knowledgeable, and professional. He also gave us a list of all the additional services HJack offers. On top of that, he inspected some other areas of our house we need some work on, so he took photos and said he would email us an estimate. Very satisfied and I would recommend 100% Thank you, Alex!!

H. Jack's came to my house the same day I called and provided an estimate that was literally less than half the price compared to what I was getting from another well-known company. They got the job done and were courteous and professional the entire time. These are my new plumbers going forward.

I wrote a review last week about H. Jack's Plumbing and Heating. I have to rescind what I wrote. On Monday, morning, September 10th, the owner, John Langer, called me and apoligized for the problems we had with the water heater. He refunded what we had to pay for another company to fix the problem and also sent us a certificate for a 1-hour free service call. If you have a problem with their company, I believe that you should contact the owner and the conflicts will be resolved!

They are very professional and organized. We bought our digital AC unit, tankless hot water, and a furnace through them. I would recommend them to anyone who is serious about quality. Yes they are not the cheapest, but you get peace of mind with that price.

They service my furnace that was working, and it’s not. Each time they came back it was something different, and now they want me to get a new furnace with them. I got a second opinion and they said that the work was done wrong. Then they put a big sticker on my furnace like that did a good job. My furnace is not working!!!!!!!

Ron came out to our house promptly and fixed a no draining shower clog in literally five minutes, maybe less. The company that was out the day before spent a couple of hours trying to snake it with no progress.

I called for a appointment they said they would be at my house at 8am to 12pm. I cancelled my appointments to be there and never showed up. I called them twice with in the 4 hours they said they would be with in the next few hours. I called back at 1157am. He said it he don't know when they will be there. I told him to for get it. They called me back for the next day. Can you believe that!!!!!!! Don't trust them. THEY WILL NEVER SHOW. WASTE OF DAY. COAT ME $300.00

Within 15 minutes of calling on a Saturday for a leaking hot water tank, H Jacks had someone at my house. Less than 3 hours later I had a brand new tank installed. Very much appreciate the quick weekend service!

H Jack's has been my preferred mechanical contractor for almost a decade. I had them replace my furnace, water heater, AHU, kitchen countertops, and refurbish both the bathroom in my Lakewood home. All the technicians are professional and respectful. The work gets performed on time with no hidden costs. Highly recommended.

Will and his crew were on time. We needed a gas furnance and water heater they installed both of them. They were super efficient completed the job in one day. I would definitely recommend H. Jack's Plumbing and heating. Great Job!!!

I am never one to post negative reviews about companies. I used H Jack’s three times in 2020 and my first experience was great. However, my second experience required a second plumber to come and fix a mistake from a plumber that came in earlier in the day. I was not too upset about this, as mistakes happen. However, my third experience also required having to request another plumber come to fix a failed repair from a plumber that came earlier in the day as well.
Finally, they have real unethical business practices, with regard to gauging customers. I needed to replace a toilet handle (which is $8-$18 at Lowe’s/Home Depot and a 2 minute fix). They offered to replace it for $268. That is a 1,489% to 3,350% Mark up. I understand businesses need to make a profit and charge a mark up, but greater than 1000% is unethical. I did turn the toilet handle replacement, but the fact that they would even propose this shows that they have zero respect for customers.
Due to these highly unethical pricing practices, I would highly recommend avoiding this organization.

I had H. Jack's come out to replace 2 leaky hose bibs. They did a great job and finished quickly. The 2 techs were friendly and professional.

Service was excellent and the guys who did the work were wonderful... I had quite a few projects done and they did a terrific Job. Met a lot of servicemen and techs and they were very polite. They Cleaned up and explained everything. I would recommend them again and again. Nice to see hard working guys who actually do the job they say they are doing and take pride... Very friendly!! On 8/17/2020, we contacted H. Jack for our tankless water heater because it was leaking. We were told someone could come out that afternoon but they were clear there was a $135 diagnostic fee to determine the problem. The reason we called them is because when we purchased the home their sticker was on the unit and we felt, they would be best to handle the problem since either they installed it or serviced it prior to our living here. Surely, they would have great details about the items they installed or serviced.

I want to inform you that my husband has high intelligence in the areas of mechanicals as he is a mechanic (retired only personal projects now) and during his employment he was certified in plumbing, electrical and carpentry. But this is a tankless system that he is not familiar with how they work internally but he had done his research and had already replaced the pressure release valve and adjusted our water pressure prior to contacting H. Jack to get the professionals to correct the problem. Mind you the unit does not have a problem heating; just leaks.

Now our tankless system has a copper pipe extended beneath the pressure release valve and when it leaks, it leaks right to the floor. We don't know how long it was leaking because we have an Everstone basement floor that does not show water very well and it wasn't until we had a piece of cardboard near the floor of the unit that we discovered the leak. Our first question was knowing that these units leak from the pipe, why would H.Jack (since they either installed or service prior based on sticker) not have recommended not to leave this pipe open to drain right to the floor and made some sort of suggestion that would have diverted a potential problem such as this. The amount of water that drained is so much that it can not be captured in a bucket because it would overflow so my husband put a fitting at the end of the pipe and attached a water hose that is directed to our sump pump to drain the water there.

The technicians diagnostic was a follows: He never opened up the unit, did not touch it and he said, it could possibly need a cleaning. So that is where your $135 goes... on a possibility, not towards any service and this was said within in less than 5 minutes of being in our basement. I thought diagnostics meant evaluating and determining what was needed to correct the problem, not guessing?

OK, so the first thing he did was replaced the units' pressure release valve which did not resolve the problem (which my husband knew since he had already done this), so we had gone along with the cleaning since the unit had not been cleaned during our time in the home. So they send for another technician to assist in the cleaning. Apparently, the first technician had very little expertise in the units (yet he is diagnosing the problem) and the other technician must have been there to evaluate and determine the thoroughness of the cleaning, maybe he was the expert.

OK, pressure release valve replaced - check! Unit cleaned - check! They also did a water pressure test which came up to 140 psi and the valve they installed accepts 150 psi. Still leaking?????

$525.00 later, we still have a leaking tankless hot water system and apparently the diagnostics did not work. So much for experts. The next recommendation is to change the pressure valve to the Main to our house, that would be an additional $285.00. Well, no more. We told them to leave...We have been H(igh). Jacked out of enough money.

My husband feels they were going to push every option until it got to a point of wanting to replace the unit itself and that would have been thousands of dollars trying to fix an issue and then they would say, you need a new unit.

My recommendation is to find another company. But before they say they don't have a record of our service. Invoice #250245 ($135) & #250244 ($390). Cleaning = Vinegar and water and brushing.

I do not recommend.

Robbers, Technician were polite and knowledgeable, however quote was 500. Over the average price, after boss man lowered quote by 150. Always get 2nd quote.

Absolutely fabulous company. My furnace would not turn on and it was getting cold outside. Every other company had a wait of 1-2 weeks. Hjacks came out next day. Richard was awesome, he explained everything to me very well. I ended up getting an awesome deal on a new furnace, AC, and hot water tank! Richard went above and beyond with the job he did. Everything was cleaned up like he hadnt even been here! I couldnt say enough good things! I highly recommend this company!

I have used HJacks for a couple of large cost investments in the last year and a half and have been delighted with the work.

In August of 2015 they renovated my kitchen - I didn't even know that they did remodels until a friend told me! First, they were able to start the job 2 days from accepting the quote - I was completely blown away as other contractors needed months of lead time. I might have just gotten lucky but it was great to get started right away. Second, I am completely happy with the work that they did and have received many complements on it. They came in at their estimate for which I was extremely grateful, and they even did extra work to make sure it was done right. For instance, they scoped the drain pipe from the sink to make sure that it wasn't full of grease and might clog (very thankful as my kitchen is on a slab) and they also relocated an outside pipe to prevent freezing because it had been done incorrectly by another contractor years ago. The finishing details were incredibly well done. The crew was professional and most (if not all) were on payroll so there was no waiting for outside contractors. The work was also done within the timeline estimated (4 weeks for a pretty big job). Overall, my expectations were well exceeded!

In July of 2014 they replaced my AC, Furnace, and Hot Water Tank. The equipment was top notch and has helped me to save money on my gas and electric bills, but even more importantly, I could not have asked for a better team of professionals to do the installation. They worked quickly, keeping disruption to my life at a minimum (I have no basement so the work was done in my lower level). They cleaned up after themselves every day and kept dust to a minimum. Also, I did not worry about my children being around them as they were clean mouthed and friendly. The work (including tearing out and replacing drywall) was top notch. A year and a half later I have had no issues whatsoever.

I highly recommend them to anyone needing heating/AC, plumbing or remodeling.

Bought a home over the summer and as part of the home inspection terms, the sump pump needed to be checked, and potentially repaired by a plumber. The previous owners made the mistake of calling H-Jacks. They came out and charged over $2,000 to replace the discharge line and an old clay pipe underground that the line flowed into. From start to finish they did this job as lazily and as poorly as possible.

The line ran out of the basement and was buried beneath the freeze line, which is the standard in Northeast Ohio due to the cold winters. First issue...to save time and effort (i.e. LAZY), HJacks elected to just install a completely new line that extended outside the house and drained above ground. This has become an issue now that it’s winter as the pipe is exposed and will be in danger of freezing. Next issue...the old discharge pipe in my basement that runs underground was just cut off and left open. So at one point excess water was trickling into the basement.

Next issue...they did not even add a transition outside where the pipe goes from 3 to 4 inches. So it’s just basically an above ground, open pipe that water, debris, and whatever else is draining into. Next issue...for $2,000+ the actual pump wasn’t even replaced! Left the old one. Not only that, but they just put it back in the basin floor without raising it. So it was pumping every 15 minutes because it was just cycling the standing water that always sits in the basin over, and over, and over again. Pumps need to be elevated when installed to prevent this. Next issue...a mess was left outside where the old clay pipe was broken down and replaced. Months later I am still finding broken pieces of clay pipe in the dirt patch that was left where they dug.

While I didn’t personally shell out 2k for this nonsense, I am now left dealing with the aftermath, and additional cost of a complete botch job. I am sure there are some things I’m missing here about this experience, but I think I’ve said enough. Avoid. Avoid. AVOID. AVOOOOOOOOOOIIIIIDDDD.

UPDATE - 12/29 - In response to H-Jacks’ response to my review... Funny that the company says they want me to reach out so they can make it right...because I DID THAT ALREADY! At the very end of August, shortly after the initial job, I contacted H-Jacks when I found water leaking into my basement from the old discharge pipe they cut and and left open (as noted in my initial review). H-Jacks sent a pair of workers out to take a look at the previous work that was done. What did they do? Tried to sell me on having another $268 “investigative” service done! I was disgusted at the point, and obviously said no way. So we have an EXPENSIVE botch job, a 2nd assessment of said botch job that not only doesn’t make things right, but tries to con us into paying to have MORE work done. This is NOT doing the right thing for 40 years. This is ripping people off. Plain and simple. Again I will say...AVOID!

So nice to find a company whose workers are on time, professional, and communicative. Very happy with our service!

Our hot water tank decided to take a dive and start flooding our basement pretty late into the evening. The phone was answered in two rings and we were patiently walked through what to do to stop the leaking until we could have someone over in the morning.
We were given an 8-12 window for the visit and at 8:02 they called to tell us they would be there in 10 minutes.
Toby and Willie were the nicest and most helpful technicians; they quickly diagnosed the problem, fixed it and were on their way in an incredibly reasonable amount of time.
This is my second time with this company and I think they really have a customer for life!

Very timely arrival. Very friendly plumber. Really knew his work well. Did a great job for us replacing the valve on our toilet.

$89. Service call $135. To push reset and light pilot. For a total of $224.00 I feel was outrageous, but the guys we nice enough, and fixed the problem, for almost half of what I could pay for a new one installed. $89. To find the problem but never told me the cost to fix until after the work (they light the pilot) was done.

The install was done efficiently and the toilet has been working well. We haven’t had to use the plunger once!

We had water back up in the basement and put in
an emergency call to Jack’s that night. They were out first thing the next day.

Thank You to the workers at H. Jack's. I called on a very hot day because my central air quit working. My call was returned within the hour and service technicians came that very day.

Prompt service. Friendly service. $370 for less than 30 minute repair of 1/2 inch pipe. Very disappointed in the price.

Great experience! Water heater finally died. Called H Jacks who came out in less than an hour. We are now satisfied owners of a tankless system. Lucas was awesome - professional, wore a mask and shoe coverings, was thorough, and provided a fair estimate. I had a toilet running problem, called all over the place and was quoted ridiculous solutions, including breaking the walls and replacing the pipes. My worst nightmare.

But H Jack's plumber came this morning and readjusted the valve inside the toilet tank. This took care of my problem in an instant, my toilet is not running anymore and I am just as happy. The plumber was super patient and understanding of my anxiety over this issue. I highly recommend hiring H Jack's for all your plumbing needs. They are the best!

I thought they did a good job at putting in a new Heater And Air Conditioner after buying a New One from them. They even remove a bush that would have blocked the Air Conditioner from working. The problem is they some how turn the gas off with the meter connected to the house and caused a gas leak on the pipe leading to the house. My Mother was there and heard them say about a Gas Leak to Barry who was working inside the house. I'm concern having tape wrapped around the gas line leading to my house because They did something when turning the pipe to the meter. I thought Barry was outstanding and excellent person to come help with HJacks. I thought The Gentlemen That sold it to me from Hjacks did good job in helping us buy them. Overall gave them a 4 but I'm very concerned about the Gas Pipe leading to the house. They assured my Mother was no Gas Leak because they Checked it.

Needed a water heater. Jack's was able to come out in 2 days. The prices was comparable to the other quotes we received. But always get quotes.
The techs were friendly and did a got job.The install is very professional. I our area a permit is required to do the install. Jack's got the permit and it was not a question. Other's that quoted were going to do the job without a permit.

Called H.Jacks as a second opinion to see why our furnace was working and not working. The tech came out and I explained to him we had another company take a look at it and he asked to see the paperwork. So I showed him. He did not ONCE use any tools to look to see if that was the problem. He just kept saying we need a new furnace and he could do it for this price. I then asked what does the $175 cover and he told us his gas money and for him coming out same day (night). He then said if you just replace the motor, it’s a $1000. So we replaced just the motor and sure enough that was NOT THE PROBLEM! We are having the SAME issue and this was over a week ago. We had another tech from this company come out and he was very nice and looked over EVERYTHING & told us that yes it’s an older furnace but he’s not sure why it’s not working properly and he wishes he could do more for us. He was very nice, not pushy-just honest. I do feel like we were ripped off because when we asked for a quote for a new furnace he said over $8,000. Mind you, our house is not that big! When I asked if they could install central air as well, he quoted us all together a total of $14,000. I was shocked! I’m glad we didn’t go this route with this company!

Don’t get me wrong, the gentleman I handled my paperwork with was nice and so was the other tech but the first tech… I just didn’t care for because he literally did NOTHING when he came out first time and automatically said we need a new motor or a new furnace. So I wasted money - you live and you learn !!

We called and were responded to quickly with a technician scheduled quickly also. The technician was very professional and efficient. He took time to explain what he would have to do to repair our problem. He had to leave to get a needed part and returned promptly. The cost was very reasonable and I feel comfortable with the repair and will definitely use them again should the need arises in the future. Unfortunately, when we needed a plumber again, and called H. Jack's Plumbing based on our previous experience, We were very disappointed in the price quoted for the repair. The technician asked if we had used them before and after looking at the job to be done, quoted us just shy of $800.00 to replace a shower connecting pipe near the ceiling in our laundry room. I didn't understand why the price was so high so I declined service. The technician said it was a high quote because of the location which I found odd as it was easily accessible. I called another plumber and they did the job quickly and efficiently for $350.00. I will not call on them again.

H Jack's has really great customer service and they worked with my warranty company to make sure I was taken care of. I would recommend them in the Cleveland area. A very nice group of people that come in, take care of the work in a timely manner and make sure you understand what work was performed.

I got an estimate for 135.00 last December.The Person I spoke with on the phone said they serviced Bosch Tankless Hot Water Heaters.While the Service Tech appeared to be nice & knowledgeable they had no Bosch Parts on the Truck and would have cost 400--450 dollars to order parts and no guarantee it was a remedy.I would recommend looking elsewhere it is a rip off to get charged for an estimate as it wasn't a service call at all.I got 3 other estimates that cost me O dollars.Just a Warning

Told me my AC unit was 5 yrs older than it is and said AC was in hood shape despite having evap coil freeze ups caused by a dirty condenser.

Updating - spoke with the owner who apologized for service and offered to refund my service agreement as well as offering up a free Fall furnace check to let them show me how their service is normally much better than what I initially received.

Had a clogged pipe and they took care of it perfectly and in short time. The technicians were nice and knowledgeable and informed me of how it was going through out the hole process.

I had my entire air conditioning unit and furnace replaced. Patrick helped me on the price and Willie the installer was kind, informative and very professional.

I had a water heater leak through into the basement. Every place I called wanted to schedule the next day, the permwhich is which wouldn't work. These guys came out and diagnosed the issue, returned the next morning with a new heater, installed it to code and packed out the old. They were professional and the work done is top notch. I did pay a premium for after hours but we called then at like 11 pm and they came straightaway. Good stuff!

I had my main drain clogged up called up a few plumbing companies that said they were a 24hr emergency service but wasn't H Jack's was the only one came out there a little pricey but did the job right the first time I would recommend them to any one

I've used this company 3 times and have had a very positive experience. The first time I had a frozen pipe in a small commercial building. They replaced the pipe, took care of business and had the water running in under 3 hours from my initial call. BUT - what impressed me more was that they figured out that the frozen pipe was going to happen again because of the layout of the plumbing and the extreme cold that winter. Their team came back a couple times (at no charge) and they came up with a very clever way to safely hang a small heat lamp over the exposed pipe that I now turn on every December & the problem has been solved. The other 2 times I had some serious clogs that other (cheaper) plumbers could not resolve. H Jacks guys came out in a matter of a few hours and took care of everything. Priced fair - not the cheapest, but I like that they stand by their work.

HJacks installed my HVAC unit and it has worked extremely well. Vick, their technician was extremely professional and was an expert at his trade. It was yet again my thermostat (Google Nest x3 ) that had gone bad. He replaced it, serviced and cleaned the system. The maintenance he performed has the system running as if it were brand new. I will always recommend and ask for Vick. HJack's is the company I recommend.

We had a backup in our kitchen sink and needed the problem resolved quickly as we were going out of town the next day. DO NOT trust this company. TOTAL SCAM. Last night our furnace started to blow cold air. I changed the filter and turned it off and on. It didn’t help. We called Jack’s Plumbing and Heating around 10pm. After looking at our furnace for about 10 min, the technician announced that our 14 years old furnace needs to be replaced. The estimate he gave us was $5,600. After lasting through cold night, we called for a second estimate. The technician had our heater running right away. He had to clean up inside the furnace. He didn’t find any issues and didn’t have to replace any parts. We were only charged $90 for this by other company. Here you go. Can you believe that some people actually could fall for this furnace replacement at $5,600. Thieves:(

I have had extremely excellent customer service, installation and repair experiences with HJack's Plumbing and Heating. They installed my air conditioner, furnace, tankless hot water tank and took care of a very complicated plumbing issue for me. It was not easy to figure out the problem but they did not give up until the problem was solved. I really can't say enough good things about the follow through policy this company exhibited for me. I would recommend them for any plumbing or heating and air conditioner installs or repairs if you absolutely want the problem to go away.

I had to have almost all my plumbing replaced last winter after a deep freeze came through. My bathroom was especially bad but we needed a remodel anyway. The guys did a great job setting the shower tray for us which really helped. The guys (4 came altogether over 2 days) were very nice and professional. They had a tough job since I have a small house. Taking into account that everthing nowadays is expensive, especially home projects, my estimate/ bill was significant. I don't think we could have done all that they did on our own. I do recommend this company, professional but pricy.

I've had H-Jacks several times and despite people telling me they are too expensive I found their prices are equal or lower to anyone else around. They replaced a sink for me and saved me from buying a whole new vanity. I had trouble with the hot water heater about a year ago and they came out and replaced a bad electronic box. I just called them tonight at 6:30pm Sunday night and they're coming out tomorrow morning to check this water heater again. Great service and they come out fast!!

After another plumber no-showed on me twice, I contacted Hjacks. On 1-13 two techs arrived and assessed my situation of a leaking kitchen sink drain as well as the bathroom sink shut off valves/lines leaking. The initial estimate was obscene at $2100+. These issues were above ground, requiring no digging. I cancelled the bathroom job and switched focus to just the kitchen sink drain..$500. I figured the guys would run down to the home Depot 5 minutes away and get the necessary parts to do the repair the same day. ??? No, they instead scheduled the job a week later, partly due to my work schedule. We agreed they would show up at 10am today's date. After 11 and 12 o'clock passed with no sign of them, I called the main number at 12:55 and was told by a woman I was on a schedule window of 10-Noon. There was never a discussion of a window from the techs. 10am was the time...period. Regardless, they were late even for their quoted window. I cancelled their services. 5 minutes later I receive a call from Ben who offered me a 10% discount if I kept them on the job, but he would have to reschedule me for...next week. No thanks. Piss Poor Professionalism.

Had a clogged drain and there was nothing we could do ourselves to clear it. We've used H Jacks before with good results so thought we'd call again. Called at 9 am and they said they'd be there between 1 and 3. Arrived at 1:20 and had the problem fixed in less than half an hour. Quick, easy and affordable!

H. Jack's was able to come out same-day to assess a leaking whole-house humidifier after I'd had another company out for the same thing. They identified that even if we made the changes and updates the other company suggested, we would still experience leaks based on how the humidifier was originally installed...improperly at an angle causing the water to spill out the front of the unit. They reconfigured our furnace cold air return system and replaced the humidifier with a newer power model installing it properly. Very happy with the quality of the work, the company's responsiveness and availability. Would highly recommend!

I have hired Jacks last year to install my new furnace and A/C. That was my first experience with Jacks, and it was great, so they were the first ones I called today with my plumbing problem. Two men came to the house (Edgar. I cannot remember the man that was with him). They were very professional. They treated my home with respect. They did a great job. They cleaned up behind themselves. The price they gave me was fair, and I didn't get any surprises at the end of the project. Honestly, I cannot say enough kind words. If you're looking for HVAC or a great plumber, I would DEFINITLEY use Jacks!

I had a leak in my upstairs bathroom that was leaking into my kitchen and had called around to try to get someone out ASAP. HJacks was able to come out immediately, even though it was in the evening, to come evaluate the problem. I encountered an on call team that made sure the leak wouldn't do any further damage and they had another crew come out the following morning and fix the problem.
These guys were top notch from the friendly customer service rep to the highly knowledgeable teams that came out and fixed the problem. The best part, in my opinion, is that they use two person teams instead of sending out a solo plumber because it ensures that the work being done is done correctly the first time. I would personally recommend these guys over any other plumber in the area.

Recently I had H Jack’s install a hot water tank. I did the research and found that H Jack’s installed the best products at the best price. Their installation was quick and easy within 24 hours. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a reputable and trusted plumber.

Had a small plumbing problem. They sent a very capable, professional plumber named Andy and he took care the problem right away. He made a small mistake at first that I could have lived with, but he insisted on making it perfect.

Tenant called. No heat. They have to restart the furnace every few hours. They come out, can't really find the problem. Asked them to clean the furnace; they did. They quoted me $4600 for a new Bryant (not very high in the Consumer Reports reliability list). The final insult? Had to pay them $340(including the $55 after hours charge)! They lost our business: two rentals and our home.
Herczog hvac came and after 1/2 hour diagnosed and fixed the problem...for $156!!!

It was Friday before Labor Day and suddenly my sewer backed up and the toilets wouldn’t flush. My normal plumber was “booked Friday and Saturday”. That would have left me stuck until Tuesday.

I really wanted to give them a 5 star because they did such a great job when they came out a month ago. We had sewage back up and they located the problem, called in someone to clean it up and then fixed the pipe. We ended up having to replace the floor, then the toilet didn't work correctly. I called to set up an appt for the following week. Appt time came and went and no one showed. I called and they said, yes I was on the books. I waited an entire day, no show or call to tell me they weren't coming. What is the point of making an appt if no one is going to show? I understand there are emergencies but a phone call would have been nice. Now I have to rearrange my schedule again and pray they will show up. Don't advertise appointments if you don't really take appointments.

I recently had H Jack’s Plumbing and heating come and fix my water heater. I had never used them but I would use in the future. I called at 5.:00 in the morning and they were there by 9am. They were sincere, knowledgeable and patient. I had 5 different gentleman in the home and each one was great. The day before I had Brad and Cody who were very kind and courteous. All gentlemen that came within the two days were a great representation of the company.

Ok so we used this company before but this time it was An Emergency!!! My son decided to put my Wedding rings down the shower drain and I swear I think I died a little because I honestly did not think I would ever see my rings ever!!! So my husband called this company again and Justin and Andrew came out and they found the rings in one of the pipes, both rings!!! I’ve used H jacks twice now for hydrojetting and a furnace repair. Both times they were prompt and did professional work. Not the cheapest around but you get top quality service. Would definitely recommend.

Original issue:Had an appointment scheduled for Nov 8 th between 10am -12 noon no one showed. I called they told me next technician was scheduled for me. No one showed after I took off for the day. I am highly disappointed. Wasted day and poor service.

I called them for a small gas leak and rep came out and didnt even Assess the gas leak but went straight to the whole system needs redone because it wasnt to code and said I have to replace to whole gas line! while in shock. when he told me how much I said I have to get other opinions and he stormed out!! I had three other companies say they disagreed the pluming was all brand new!! I just bought the home! So it was a minor issue now fixed for THOUSNDS less!

From the moment they walked in the door they wanted to sell me a new furnace. Did no diagnostics and just assumed it was a bad board then a bad gas exchanger. Also said my heat exchanger was cracked. Called another company. They looked deeper and furnace had other issues and needed replaced but the heat exchanger wasn't cracked. Happy went with another company and the new furnace they installed.

I edited from a 1 star to a 3 because of honest feedback from the owner. It is true- I appreciated the free estimate on a Saturday. I wish they were able to come down in price on their units and labor.

Fast service, came out within an hour. Polite and knowledgeable workers. They gave us suggestions on how to complete our remodeling project. Great experience!

Verry Professional Work Attention To Detail

I had the worse first experience with this company's employees. I had 4 different employees on my case. First one miss diagnosed, the second blew my furnace board then tried to bill me for it. At this point I had to cancel an event that was going to be held at my house. He then passed the case to another guy. When he called me he had no clue as to what was going on. After a week more of the shenanigans this guy schedules me to have the board replaced. The day of the replacement a completely different guy shows up to do the job. I still don't have a/c!! The only good out come and only reason it has 1 star is because the owner took the time to listen and replace the board for free.

On December 11, 2021, Jared and Alex arrived to my home for a clogged septic system which caused water to come up from our foundation drain in our basement. We received great service from them and will definitely use H Jack's for any service needed in the future.

Called for routine maintenance on both furnace and water heater. They scheduled for the next day! Techs arrived on time, worked efficiently, and answered all our questions. They also shared advice on what CO monitors to get and where to place them. Excellent inteaction.

Water heater went out on Sunday. I started calling places advertising 24/7 services. They were the 6th, but only ones that actually did come out. They were very courteous and polite and did a great job.Cant say how their prices are because nobody else showed up. We wanted it done so neither of us had to miss work. They will be the 1st ones we call in the future.

I had the furnace fixed previously for the same problem by another company but it occasionally would just quit working. They came out, diagnosed & repaired it & it’s been working ever since.

Ridiculous. I called because my heater will blow air just fine but it’s not hot. I wanted them to light the pilot. I Paid the $89 consultation for nothing. The worker said that I needed a new motor because he couldn’t get the fan to go but I know I don’t. It’s an older heating system, he left out to write a quote and I immediately got the fan to blow. I just needed/wanted the pilot lit. He wouldn’t even do that, even tho he acknowledged that the pilot light was out. Just told me to pay the service fee if I wasn’t interested in a $440+ cleaning or replacing the motor.

We called out H Jack's in June after our 100 year old boiler started causing us problems. The first company we called out before calling H Jack's had no idea how to work on a boiler that was so old, spent 2 hours replacing parts that were not needed and who's main concern was the money! Thankfully I had a pamphlet from H Jack's! They sent someone out right away (Jeremy) who found the problem within 10 minutes! We couldn't be happier with the work H Jack's did for us, so much so that after they finished the boiler we had them back to fix our AC unit! These guys (Jeremy, Tim, Barry and Jon) were like old friends coming to visit by the time they were done! H Jack's will be the only company we call if need be in the future!! I signed up for a maintenance contract for my furnace and air conditioning unit. I originally had an afternoon appointment but they called me first thing saying they could come earlier in the morning which worked out great for me. Adam was very professional and thorough in his explanation of what was going on with my air conditioning unit and made me feel at ease. Highly recommend H Jack's for your needs!

Furnace fan quit and a new one was suggested

We had H Jack's come out and replace our heating and AC units five years ago. Since then, they have maintained it for us. Last night, our heater turned off, and our temperature began dropping. We called them this morning, and they had a team at our house in under two hours, and the problem diagnosed and fixed quickly. Chris and Jason were very helpful, professional, and knowledgeable. I highly recommend H Jack's to everyone. Oh, the issue we had was under warranty - so we paid almost nothing!!

The installation was perfect but our kitchen lights have not been coming on since they left. Please let me know if anything happened to the circuit.

Bill and Matt were my service men, they came on time and did a great job replacing laundry tub and faucet. When they finished everything was cleaned up and back in its place. I know that Iwill call H.JACK Plumbing again for any future work.

Sean, Francisco and crew arrived promptly at the appointed time, were friendly, respectful of our home, professional, efficient, and did a thorough job. The job took about a day longer than we all initially expected, but these guys worked continuously until the job was properly finished. When they left, they left the property immaculate. It wasn't cheap, but it was well worth the price, because it was done professionally and correctly, with an American-made York unit. If there are problems, we know that H. Jack's will send someone out immediately.

We contacted them last month regarding issues with our boiler. there was water leaking from a pipe that fed into the boiler. Paid $165 for the technician to tell us the boiler was in bad shape and quoted us $3500 to repair or over $9000 to replace. Of course we were shocked! it's getting cold out we have 2 children and we were not expecting such an expense. We got a second opinion just to be safe and the technician told us boiler was fine and fixed the leak. Costed us $200!!!!! Are you kidding me?!?! To make matters worse, their technician loosened a wired and the boiler stopped responding to the thermostat (it was working before his visit) . new technician tightened the wires back and like magic it worked! I'm so disgusted at how they tried to take advantage of us. I'm not sure if the technician was doing this independently or if this is typical H. Jack Plumbing's behavior but it's very upsetting to know that there are businesses like this. my advice...if you call them get a second opinion. Matter of fact just don't call! save your money and the stress!

I called them about an estimate to replace my furnace. The guy came out, he assessed the job, took down my information and told me he would get back to me with the quote. The guy obviously didn't get around to responding to me, so I called the office and spoke to a lady and she told me some b******* excuse, then she reassured me that they would have my quote emailed out to me... It's been almost 2 weeks since I heard from them... If they didn't want to do the work he could honestly told me instead of stringing me along. I'm a auto mechanic by trade I don't string people along, I tell them straight up about their vehicle... That's not the case with this company if they don't want to do the work they won't be honest and tell you. If you have ultimate patience work with them if not come along with me we'll go somewhere else.

Good plumbers if you are desperate and can afford their outrageous rates.

If you use this company, make sure you get at least one other quote. We asked them to do a project and they quoted us $1500 above what another company did. We made the mistake of asking them to look at another project out f sheer convenience and they quoted us $1600 when another plumber said they could do the job for $100. Needless to say, we will not be asking them back.

Jacks were courteous and ontime with the scheduled service. They did an inspection required for the city of Euclid and supplied all required paperwork for me after the call.

I decided to call H Jack to help me repair my leaky tub faucet. I called and let them know the cartridges needed replaced, as they wear out every so often. No big deal. I saw the negative reviews and was a bit hesitant, but there were so many positive reviews I decided to give them a shot.

Learn from my mistake, please trust the reviews.

I was told that because my tub faucet is an old style having 3 handles, they would not be able to locate parts.

I was presented with two options: First option would cost $688 to have them do a complete rebuild and install a new, Gerber 3 handle system. There is nothing wrong with my current system, apart from the cartridge. My plumbing is copper, not galvanized, and everything is in proper working order, again, apart from the dang cartridge.

The second option was to convert to a single handle tub and shower valve, and this would cost $1,043. That's a whole mortgage.

I asked why we couldn't just replace the cartridges. I can understand that the faucet handles are older, but it's an American Standard faucet and, like the name implies, it's pretty standard to find these in homes everywhere. Also I'd really like to be as minimally invasive as possible, considering there is nothing wrong with my plumbing apart from the CARTRIDGE. I was advised they only can obtain parts through their own vendors, and are not able to shop at places like Home Depot or Lowe's, which is why they wouldn't be able to locate an American Standard cartridge. So no cartridge only replacement option available. From a plumbing company? Wow.

Long story short I went to my local hardware store (Shout out to Webb Supply!) and was able to purchase the cartridges I needed to fix my problem. My boyfriend installed them in less than 15 minutes. Leak solved, same old, out of date handles, and it cost less than $25.

Honestly, shame on you guys. Like many reviews before me, I can understand businesses need to make money, and I don't mind paying top dollar for great service and expertise, but this is absolutely unconscionable! I let you know up front what the problem was when I called, you should have been upfront then and there that you don't replace cartridges, and will only do a full rebuild. It would've saved both of us our time, and saved you from this negative review. But even so.... $700 for a new faucet??? You gotta be freaking kidding me.

Reading other reviews and read the same. Very nice friendly workers, but overcharging in service. In my case, I had everything ready for them, they just put the snake in the bathtub for 2 minutes, and $ 235.00... I think that although they solved me, it was somewhat expensive. All right...

Furnace stopped heating. Called H. Jack's for service. Two technicians were on site in less than 30 minutes. Furnace came back on minutes before they arrived. Informed us that this occurs when the ignition fails to light and system shuts down for a period. Had them perform routine maintenance. Also purchased two year maintenance contract for hvac.

H. Jack's was able to get us scheduled right away to finish a job a different local plumber was not able to - they did a great job, were very friendly and professional and we would certainly use them again for plumbing needs!

The technicians were friendly and knowledgeable. The price was a little on the high side. But not too terrible for a business.
My issue was not with them. My issue was on my brand new driveway. Their van leaked oil on it. When they pulled away there was a fresh oil stain. About 2-3 inches around.
I did not call them to complain. Because the longer it would sit. The harder it would be to get the stain out. I just got my cleaner and power washer out. And got it cleaned.
I think that a business should never pull into someone’s driveway. Especially if they have trucks that leak oil. Just very disappointing.

This experience started out pretty shaky. I discovered on a Sunday that my AC wasn't working. I called the first thing the next morning and the scheduling person told me that they could have someone out that morning (which impressed me). I also mentioned the fact that I was one of their customers and that I had a service contract with the company. I waited all day (it was 90 degrees) and no one showed up and no one called me. I finally called the office at 4:30 pm and then I was told that they wouldn't be able to make it out that day and would reschedule me. Why no one could give me the courtesy of a call to tell me that earlier is beyond me -- I could have gone somewhere cooler to spend the day. Needless to say the next day wasn't an option. So on Wednesday afternoon they finally sent someone out -- late afternoon (in fact, I ended up calling them to verify that they were actually sending someone). The guy tells me that he thinks I have a leak and they will have to send someone out to put in coolant and some dye and figure out where the leak was. Of course, he couldn't do it then -- it would take another appointment and another service call. He also told me that I needed a pump on my unit (I did have moisture building up in the unit). And so we set up a time the next week for them to come out and put in coolant and install the pump. The guy that did that showed up and took care of it and then told me that he would have the office call me to schedule an appointment to check the leak in a week or so. He did actually follow through as the office did in fact call me and schedule the appointment. When they came out to check the leak they did find it and determined that the unit needed to be replaced. We scheduled the appointment for that the following Monday. The guys who showed up to do the installation were good and efficient. The other question I have is whether or not I should have spent money on a pump when that was solving a problem with the old unit -- why did they do that if they suspected I would be replacing the unit? The other thing (that granted is fairly minor) is that when we scheduled the work to replace the unit I was given the option of a programable thermostat and that was written up that I would receive a programable thermostat. The thermostat that was installed is not programable. I do hope that the company will at some point fix that. I also hope that if I have any future problems, I will be treated as one of their customers (since I now have a four year service contract).

I had called H. Jacks in a panic for a plumbing emergency. They were out within an hour and had my issue fixed right away. They were extremely professional, polite and helpful. The dispatcher on the phone was beyond kind and reassuring that they would be able to help. Highly recommend!

I initially didn't feel valued or appreciated as a customer and my tenant felt disrespected as a female by the gentleman sent to work on the plumbing issue.

Ultimately, the idea of price, quality and engineering issues being passed on to the customer with minimum accountability, was in question.

On a positive side note, in the end an H.Jack representative put forth quality measures to rectify my grievance, which goes a long way for a disgruntled customer.

In a perfect world, there's no harm and no foul and all sides are happy. Unfortunately, its not quite a perfect world, yet and still I thank you for your time, consideration and willingness to have an open conversation.

They were on time, respectful, made sure i was well informed about what they did when they were here. I just moved into a house 4 months ago, currently pregnant. The plumbing was very neglected from a previous owner who had passed away and was unable to get help. We were unable to run water in the bathroom and kitchen. They repaired everything from our gas ducts, vent stack, plumbing pipe, gas pipes, and etc. They got this done within 2 full days and started very early. They are truly a blessing and I'm glad i chose them to do my plumbing and 100%+ recommend them to anyone needing help towards what they service. Nothing i say on here can truly describe how pleased i am with their service!

My duplex tenants reported that water was backing up into their homes. It was a Saturday evening and we needed fast action. My regular plumber could not respond until the next morning. H Jack was on the scene in about an hour from getting the call. They did a quick diagnosis and cut through the roots blocking the drain very quickly. Horrific!!! These people lied about our furnace being broken and needing to be replaced. We knew something was wrong when we heard the furnace come on and operate fine then the workers come and tell us it's going to be thousands to replace. They also charge a fee for their FREE estimates. Sears came out after those crooks and told us the furnace did not need to be replaced just cleaned a little. DO NOT TRUST THESE GUYS. They are CROOKS or INCOMPETENT either will cost you MONEY.

This morning I got a call from the owner. He said in an authoritative command that I am being disruptive to his business and people as I called for two consecutive nights. The owner John called just to tell me this that as a customer I should not be calling in the middle of the night disregarding the fact that his crew failed to fix a problem even after visiting twice. Neither for once did he apologize for failing to fix the issue instead claimed that I should not have called at night because employees rest and enjoy their family lives! John reminded me that he has five star ratings. I would like to disappoint John and give him a 1. Not sure why he boasts of his ratings when he does not have the minimum knowledge of how to handle a customer who is already not satisfied. I am also not sure what gives him the surity that he will maintain the 5 stars. I believe John and his crew will change their attitude if we, the customers, make part payment, and wait 72 hours to see if the problem persists. I am certain John's behavior and attitude will change big time. He will not have the audacity to shout about his star ratings. Ridiculous are these business owners who can afford to be discourteous to a customer who has made payment in full.

H. Jack's was my third estimate and their price was very very reasonable. Their service was fast and their techs were thorough, professional and efficient. I truly appreciate their quick response and quality work. I love the fact that they installed a CO2/fire detector after completion which eliminated my biggest worry. I will be using this company for any future projects.

Called on a Sunday and left a message and was called back within the hour by Greg. Greg was very professional and offered me several options for my sevice needs. I opted for next business day instead of emergency service and service fee quoted was reasonable. I later found that my water heater was indeed covered under warranty by the manufacturer and informed Greg that a different company would be coming to service my water heater. Greg thanked me and also offered any plumbing services for the future. I will definitely keep H. Jack's as my #1 choice for any needs going forward. What stood out to me most is the vice president's response to many of the reviews. Thats why I chose H. Jack's. Keep up the great service.

I might be old but price was extremely high $235.00 and I got a 20.00 off. However, what are you going to do, you need your toilet.
I think pricing this high does them a disservice because soon we have to get a new vanity and handicap toilet. We won’t be in a hurry and as much as I liked them I probably won’t be calling them out again.

Called them on Friday evening because my AC stopped working , the technician said it may need a new filter which he has but did not want to provide or else charge me $300 only to insert new filter plus the $165 service , so he wants to do another visit next day to get even more money . Unprofessional behavior and unethical policy this company has they take advantage of people at times when they they need help and still did not fix anything and went away with $165 .

This comes as a never ending Thank you for the months of work performed by all members of the H. Jack's Team in restoring my son's home to a place to live. He was taken advantage of by the individual who sold his home to him. Although he had paid for a property check, never was it shown that his entire back foundation was caving in and had to be totally replaced. There were also various cement floor leaks in an area of his basement. Quite frankly every phase of restoration was owed to the H. Jack's Plumbing & Heating Co. as well as their contacts to restore my son's home to be livable once again. They rank with 5 stars to us.

Because our work spanned multiple days and a weekend, they kept us informed of their progress, showed us what they were doing throughout the job, and when they were expecting to be done.
This was an inside project, but the area they were working in was always cleaned up before they left and made safe for us, our kids, and our pets, to be around. They put down runners over the carpeted areas and swept and even wiped the concrete floors with rags to remove any dirt and mud mess they made before they left each day!

Fast and friendly staff . Had a sewer back up in basement came out the next day to snake the drain found out I needed to have my sewer line replaced. So I had to Schedule to have that repalce the same guys that come out the frist time was also the same guys to come do the sewer line replace so they knew what was going on.

Jack's has performed several significant jobs for me over the past 5 or so years. The jobs ranged from faucet replacements, sewer repairs, and bathtub replacement. Each time their workers performed the tasks to my satisfaction.

There a scam bend you over rake you through the coals. They give you a 4 hour appointment and never showed up. They called me for the next day. Can you believe that. Don't believe there commercial. Supperman will never show.

I thought the price was too high. Install was fine. Let's be honest, there aren't any detectable issues unless a part fails before it realistically should.

I was very satisfied with the work I had done. the plumbers were professional and completed the work in a timely fashion. I would use them again.

Everyone is great here. Spoke with Angel about setting up an appointment and that was smooth. Once they arrived at our house, Al and Chris explained everything and were great. They were courteous, friendly, and informative. Will definitely be coming back if we need them.

I have used HJacks for my rental property for about 4 years. Called and they came the same day. All issues were fixed and we are all happy. Would always recommend them to others!

I recently decided to tackle a weekend project to fix the drain in our bathtub/shower. Things were going well until I broke the pipe that attaches to the drain which made the shower unusable until it was fixed, otherwise water would leak to the room below. Because not showering until sometime Monday was not an option, we needed a plumber. A friend recommended H Jack's Plumbing so we gave them a call. They answered the phone quickly even though it was later on a Saturday afternoon and a plumber called me back in 5 or 10 minutes. The plumber arrived when he said he would, was very professional, fixed the problem I had caused. I must say that it was not at all cheap to get a plumber to come out on a Saturday evening, but it needed to be done. If I ever need a plumber in the future, I will be calling H Jack's again.

Had a clogged storm drain. HJacks cleated it out and cleaned up after. They were friendly and efficient!

We had a plumbing emergency during the middle of a bathroom renovation project and the plumber (Brian) was at our house within 1 hour from the time that we called! Brian was very responsive, diagnosed our issue quickly, and fixed our problem so we could have our water back on safely and continue with our project! Thank you very much!

My furnace went out, called in morning and they had someone out right away. Recommended a new furnace that they were able to install the following day. The technician Brad and Austin were great! Professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Was not a cheap experience but overall positive, will use again for future needs.

Although we didn’t do business together, for the estimate they showed up on time and was prompt at getting over the estimate for HVAC. I never heard anything from their remodel side of the business.

I had HJacks out to my house today for my furnace that had a bad inducer motor. They told me the price to fix it was $963. I checked and the part was available for anywhere from $279 to $385 (my price, not what they would actually pay for the part). I said no thank you that I would fix it myself. They charged me an $89 service fee just to come out. I bought the part from a nearby HVAC store and replaced it myself in less than 30 minutes. saving myself $500.
I understand they are a business and need to make money but I feel that them making what would have been a $750 profit for a job that I as a homeowner was able to finish in 30 minutes is an uncalled for ripoff

They provided excellent service by: promptly sending a technician out the same day we contacted them for a quote, provided quality components at a very affordable price and the technicians that replaced our hot water tank were knowledgeable, very courteous and careful while coming in and out of our home (not to damage anything and also taking care with our pets). Jacks did a decent job of replacing my shower valve, but I think I should have gotten other quotes because I believe they were expensive.

I had my water heater go out and when I called H Jack's they were there to assess the situation that afternoon to fit my schedule. They informed me on top of having to replace my water heater, that I needed a chimney liner installed, and a lot of galvanized piping that had to be replaced in my older home in order to be up to code. While the price for the entire ordeal was a lot, I can say they did a fantastic job. The new tank was replaced the following day and everything looks great. I actually had an competitor plumber come by after the job was done and he raved about their work. H Jack's cuts no corners. While they may cost more than some, you know you are paying for quality.

I called Memorial Weekend as an emergency call for a leaking pipe coming from my main. They arrived with in the hour and immediately quoted the job. With my approval, work commenced and was done. I did reach out to the company after the repair and did express my concerns. The President of the company reached out on Sunday of that same weekend and took the time to talk to me about repair because I truly didn't understand what was done. He did follow through with his promises and called me Tues. Morning and offered to have his lead tech out to go over the repairs made that Saturday charging no more than the initial price I had paid. He took into consideration my feelings so I took him up on it. He sent his best tech out with a helper. He was very nice, professional and I could tell he knew what he was doing. His helper also was very nice. They went above and beyond rectifying my initial repair and I am so glad I took Mr. Langer up on sending them out free of charge. I am confident in the tech that was here today and I believe the repairs are correct and as they should be.

We have used H Jacks for major plumbing repairs in 2014 and 2016. It all started on my first day of vacation when the garbage disposal backed up - they were here within the hour. Everyone we have dealt with is very knowledgeable and professional. They explain what they are doing every step of the way and thoroughly clean up before leaving so you don't even know they were here! My mom has some mobility issues being older, and they were very prompt in getting things back in working order because of this. They will continue to be our plumber of choice!

The worst company ever they charged us 500 dollars for nothing and after that they said they have to change the unit I advise that you don’t use this company.

Bill B and Brian M came out to my house after the toilet got clogged. My brother in law and I had tried to unclog it the night before when it occurred to no avail. These two from H Jack's got right on top of it, arriving very promptly, and initially snaked the drain to the front yard where they found roots. They ran a camera from outside towards the house and discovered quite a bit of roots, and recommended a water jet. I agreed and they ran that through and took the camera down again, showing me exactly how clean the pipes are now, as well as the work that will inevitably need to be done down the road to insure it doesnt happen often. I saw a lot of posts saying H Jack's is expensive, but I can tell you right now its because they do the job right. They don't sugar coat anything, they recommend something and tell you the price right then what it will cost and let you decide. And they'll keep at it until they get the job done. Wonderfully professional and thorough and worth the cost, and I'll absolutely be dealing with them exclusively down the road for anything I need done.

255 bucks for a clogged sink and no guarantee it would fix it? Rip off. Glad the next people I called did it for 3/4 the price and works better than before. Oh and only took 20 minutes. And I didn't need all the extra plumbing your guy tried to sell me....

I had another company out two weeks earlier to unclog my bathroom drain on the second floor. Cost me $270 and they still did not clear the drain. H Jack came out and had the drain cleared in 20 minutes. They did a fantastic job

Their technician definitely found the issue but then started to overestimate how much the repairs would cost and constantly would emphasize that a new $5600 furnace would be better. Not sure if they were lazy or he gets a good chunk of commission. I hired someone else who fixed the issue at a fraction of the estimated price the the H jacks tech quoted, the best part is he didn't try to selle anything. $130 for an evaluation is a massive rip-off since most other places charge $90 or less. Skip this company and look elsewhere.

H. Jacks did a wonderful, timely, and very cost effective install on a completely new heating and air-conditioning system for us. Jeff and Barry from H. Jacks were friendly, professional, and did an excellent job with the installation. They explained in detail how the system works and how to maintain it at peak performance. Our entire home smells fresher. We would recommend them and their work without reservation to anyone.

Wow...over priced is an understatement! H JACKS gave an estimate of $625.00 to replace two 1/4 turn jiffy stops (water shut offs) under my bathroom sink and a leaking shower handle . Needless to say this is outrageous!!! Have they been ripping customers off for over 40 years? A reputable plumber from another company just left my house. He completed the same work and billed me $165.00! I showed him the estimate from H Jacks and he simply could not belive it! In fact he took a picture of the estimate to show his boss and coworkers and said with out this pic of the estimate they would never believe it! SHAME ON YOU H JACKS!!!

Technicians from Jack’s came to install a new furnace in my home. They were punctual, professional, and thorough. They prepped the area and returned it to its original state and explained everything clearly. They even tolerated the very lengthy and precise explanations of Pokémon, Dragonball, and other such animé with a smile. I recommend those techs, Willie and Mario, every time!

Had a 10.000 dollar boiler put in, day after no heat waited a couple days made the call for a check up told my wife I had to bleed the line, she would have two do that or he would charge her a service call so we did that,didn’t work still no heat. Just got a $375 gas bill so I will be making the call again.

Update: Sorry for the misunderstanding but the job was done from the Akron branch not the Whitcliffe branch. Will be calling Akron soon.

Shut off valve needed to be replaced. Hot water was pouring everywhere. Incident happened in the evening. We called EVERYONE and H. Jacks was the only 24/7 company who responded and was able to fix the issue. Shawn came within the hour and had everything fixed and up and running within a reasonable time frame.

First experience - 100% service. Fast, efficient and highly professional. Second experience, two weeks later, unresponsive. Have called twice to get information that a worker was suppose to have researched and left messages. No one responded yet - 2 months ago. Very dissatisfied. Sorry folks but the truth.

These guys installed a high end bathroom for me personally and moving from that home, the only regret I have is leaving the bathroom there. One thing is for sure John Langer cares about his customers and his employees and before you write a review with an issue, give him a call the problem will be fixed.

I received a flyer in the mail with perfect timing as I had several clogs. I had an appointment for the next day, they were prompt, called prior to arriving, clearly laid out pricing and was willing to speak with my home warranty provider.

My furnace stopped working on New Year's Eve and family had just driven into Cleveland from out of state. Thank goodness for HJack's. They arrived within an hour of my calling and got the heat running in 30 minutes. Thanks to HJack's, our 2016 has been warm and toasty!

We had an issue with sewer drainage in our rental home and it was existing for years. After many different plumbers were not able to diagnose the problem H Jack came in and put everything right. After what we have been through, including the inhalation of sewer gas we are very happy that H Jack was able to fix the problem. They are worth every dime spent. We used them the first time because they were the first company able to respond when we had an emergency issue with our furnace. H Jack's installed a new furnace and AC unit for us. Not only did they gave us a good quote - the crew was extremely knowledgeable, courteous, and on-time. They even cleaned up each day after they were finished!!! I highly recommend them.

They are an absolute rip-off!!! Charged me 382 dollars for a 50 dollar part and 20 minutes of work So I guess their hourly rate is $996 dollars if they charge $332 for 20 minutes. Do not have them work on your home unless you want to throw away money. If I said that their price was outrages and I was going to get another quote then it would still cost me 90 dollars for them to leave. That is how they get you to over pay.

Welcome to homeownership! We just bought our first home in North Canton and we were only here 5 days when $h!t hit the fan. Literally. We have had so many people in and out of this house for the last week with the HJACKS crew being a majority of them. Everyone has been really nice but the communication could use some work. Every time we have called to discuss our schedules with someone from the main office, none of our messages seem to get relayed to the team and we never know if or when they are going to show up. Today, the crew from Cleveland showed up (without our knowledge) BUT they weren’t at fault. We want to shout out to the team from Cleveland!! Ben and his crew came out today to dig up our front yard and replace the sewer lines. They were friendly, knowledgeable and very professional. They noticed some errors that were done previously and called to have someone correct it. We had some pretty big shrubs in the way that unfortunately had to be removed. But they handled it perfectly and helped us with a little landscaping! They made sure to clean everything up when they were finished and even hosed down our driveway! These guys are great and we would definitely use them again in the future, if needed. No offense but we hope we don’t have to! Haha Thanks again guys! Appreciate you more then you know!

Probably will never use this company.. Can't say their service is good or not because they failed to show up at their scheduled time.. I even called the company asking where the technician was and the lady that answered basically scolded me for calling (as I was misinformed that the time was between 12-4 not 12-2), saying this was the busy season and I was not high on their priority list. Kinda agitated by this, I KINDLY thanked her and told her that the women I scheduled the appointment must have told me the wrong time and I'll be home all day so it won't be an issue, I just hope the service is better the professionalism I'm receiving over the phone. Yeah, 4 o'clock rolls around and guess who still isn't at my house or even a courtesy call..

Have them out 3 weeks ago for a service and cleaning paid around 190 Had to call them again 3 weeks later another 135 and now my soot buildup is so bad. I need a new furnace. Don't understand it and then to top it all off the guy suggested I purchase a new furnace and then denies recommending that. scam artists not professional. Just taking advantage of people

H. Jack's does quality work. I had issues with the plumbing for my kitchen sink and bathroom sink. They repaired the issues quickly and helped me understand the work they did.

Overall, the experience was good. H Jacks was able to come to our home after our hot water tank went out within 30 mins of the call while I had other companies tell me it could be days or weeks. It was a relief to have someone out to quickly. The team was very kind and personable and answered our questions.

As other reviews mentioned, we found H Jacks to be extremely expensive. Our hot water tank was under warranty (thankfully) but we were prepared to pay for the labor for installation. H Jacks quoted us $1,500 for the installation ONLY. I’ve had multiple friends and family members tell me this is completely outrageous. We even called our insurance company and they told us an installation should be well under $1,000.

When I called and asked for a detailed breakdown of how they came to $1,500, they were not able to provide it (what was labor vs materials vs taxes vs any other components). They told me they were a “flat rate” company and they don’t pass taxes to their customers. However they still declined to provide a breakdown which makes me feel like it was just arbitrarily put together. In my opinion, a company should be able to provide details on how they came to a number especially when it’s $1,500. How much are you charging per hour for labor? What is the cost of materials? How are you getting to this number?

Again, we were in a bit of a desperate situation with a baby at home and no desire to go longer than needed without water and unable to get other crews out quickly.

So overall, the process and team were great. However, due to the cost, we likely won’t be calling again and feel a bit taken advantage of.

Quick response on my service call. Techs gave great advice on proper maintenance. Turns out the cheaper filters are more efficient and provide better air flow. Who knew!
