I was referred to John by a friend who works closely with him to help with a plumbing issue we had. When I reached out, I got an immediate response and he came out the next day to assess the situation. It took him only a few minutes to look and figure out what we needed, put together a quote, and set up an appointment for the next day. The next day Ken came out to complete the work. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and very quickly completed the job. While he was in our crawl space he took pictures to show us what he had done to correct our issue.

Ken was awesome. Timely, professional, and friendly. Fixed/installed a new faucet on the same day I called to request service. Company is also very coordinated and calls u when technician is getting close to arriving within the window. Window given was between 3-6 (same day!) and Ken arrived by 345 and quickly assessed the leak and installed the new faucet for me. He also removed the old faucet from my apartment which was helpful that I didn’t have to lug it downstairs to the trash on my own.

We called this company to fix a leak we had coming from our upstairs bathroom. They sent a guy named Kevin who charged us $500 to put some sticky tack down around the tub and to put these awful plastic barriers around our tub (he didn't check with us first before putting them on.) Leak still occurred. The company sent the same man back (Kevin). We pointed out to him where the leak was coming from. He put sticky tack on the hole and said if it leaks again you're gonna need a whole new tub and left. Of course it's going to leak again you didn't fix anything! My husband could've done what he did. Waste of money.

Asked them if they worked on cisterns, they said they did waited all day, they were two hours late. Plumber finally got here and told us they don't do systems like that. Waste of time.

The service I received from ARS Rescue Rooter of Cleveland was excellent and I am very satisfied with their service they were very clean and very efficient with their repairs and I completely give them my recommendations.

Left with not knowing what the problem was, how to solve it, or if it can be done. I was presénteles with many confusing options, and wan’t assured if any of them could remedy the problem. Pricing was unjustifiably staggering. I had to suggest the work that may need to be done, paid for it with no obvious result!!!

Jason was very helpful, and he resolved my drain issue. He also provided me with information about cost options for a sink replacement I will need to have done as well.

I have used this company for a multitude of things: rainwater drain pipe, sewage line, clogged drains, garbage disposal, outside water spigot, and now a new toilet and water heater. They are thorough and very prompt! They have a customer for life.

Resealed between tank and toilet, replaced wax ring, replaced water feed valve. $450 for 3 hours labor. Work was good, but way over priced.

Called this company due to emergency plumbing problem. Crew arrived and told me at first that from what they saw it would cost me 350.00 then they said they saw a couple more leaks and due to where the pipe was, they would have to cut a hole in my kitchen to get to the pipe in the bathroom. Told me I was looking at least 750.00 just to start and that they couldn't start the work until the next day. NOT TODAY. Called another plumber who came out and fixed the problem within two hours. ARS what a joke...

Tub pipe repair

I had a clogged bathtub and live in a condo building. We tried to snake it ourselves but due to the piping, our snake was not long enough. The company was nice and responsive. And person who came out was pleasant. BUT he was there all of maybe 15 minutes to clear the simple clog and it cost $250.00, which I thought was very pricey. I will have to think twice about calling them back due to the cost. And no senior discount.

I called ARS because the tub drain kept backing up repeatedly. We scheduled a time they showed up promptly. Very courteous and polite. The techs explained everything and did exactly what they said they would do. They fixed the problem, cleaned up and was very satisfied with the service.

They said they would call 45 mins ahead of time, they only called 10 mins ahead of time. We were scheduled for technicians first appointment but he did not know anything about it. Unprofessional

Have had ARS out several times to repair plumbing in our kitchen sink. It’s been an ongoing issue that has never been fully repaired. We’ve had them snake the lines, repair the parts that come apart, etc… We finally made an appointment with them to completely redo the sink plumbing on Saturday 9/17 at 2. We were closing early anyways that day so it made sense for us timing wise. Nobody showed up. When I called to see where they were, they said they didn’t have an appointment scheduled. The person on the phone said they’d have a manager call me. He never did. We’ve been using Ars for our restaurant plumbing needs for years. Never. F’ing. Again.

I am grateful for ARS and their technician Ralph Cruz. After several misquotes, I was hoping for an honest plumber, someone insightful and efficient. I am so relieved I called ARS to service my home. Ralph was cordial, knowledgeable, and efficient. Not only was the quote within reason. Ralph came the next day and got the job done in record time. He also took the time to look at other plumbing concerns and provide advice. It was easy to trust Ralphy. Going with ARS not only saved me money, but gave me peace of mind, because of the quality service. I plan on using ARS for all of my plumbing needs and specifically requesting Ralphy.

This review is a couple weeks late but I wanted to make sure I left a review for the amazing tech that came out. Ralph Cruz was the tech that I had the pleasure of dealing with, he did a great job and even went above and beyond to make sure he got the job done! The pipe he needed to fix had cement covering it and instead of just saying he couldn’t get to it, he went above and beyond and actually took the time to cut through the cement to get the pipe fixed. Ralph is one hell of a repair man and I would absolutely recommend him to others. Give that man a raise, he deserves it!! 😁

Plumber really made an effort to explain the root cause of the problem (how the hot water tank leaked onto the floor of the laundry room).

Additionally, suggested improvements on wash sink re-installation which partially blocked easy access to water tank.

These explanations really helped in saving the costs of searching for additional water leaks in the wall and made wash sink re-installation by owner much easier and neater. Considering how expensive Replacement and Installation of water tank was, these savings were significant.

I will have no reservations about doing business with ARS/Rescue Rooter again.

These are they people you want to call if you have a problem with anything pipe/plumbing related. Marco and John were terrific. As a first time homeowner, not knowing just how much I’m going to run into buying as is, and there is no way this would have been discovered prior to signing, they both are very helpful in getting this issue resolved. They came out today, got the water out of my basement, found the other problem and are working to get it repaired quickly. Marco even fixed my running toilet. These two gentlemen were courteous, polite and made me feel much better. I’m not one to write glowing reviews for other than excellent service. And I feel 10,000% better than I did early this morning.

1. This review has been updated from 5 stars to 2 stars. They were completely deceptive on a lot of things. First and foremost they overcharged us to hydrojet the sewer line. They charged us $1300, which hydro Jet should only cost a couple hundred dollars. Also, they were trying to charge us $12,000 to reroute our sewer line instead of actually repairing it. They lied and stated that the sewer line was completely damaged/collapsed and it was best to reroute the sewer line. They also lied and stated that insurance will pay for it. Of course, insurance denied it because insurance does not deal with interior plumbing. Insurance will pay to repair the sewer line. They are plumbers and not insurance adjusters so they do not know how to word things to get insurance to pay for it. Anthony, the field supervisor, was just saying things to get our buisiness. I found a plumber through The Home Heritage Program in Cleveland, Ohio. He charged us $3500 to repair the sewer line. He said that it wasn't collapsed at all. It just needed a good hydro Jet and reverse hydro Jet to get all of the tree roots out. He would have charged another $3500 if the sewer line needed to be replaced. On top of that, insurance actually reimbursed us for the sewer line repair. So Anthony and his team were going to charge us $12,000, mess up our waterproof basement, to reroute a sewer line to a place where there was no sewer line instead of actually fixing the sewer line. Also, to reroute a sewer line costs $5,000-$6,000 so they were definitely over charging us. When I told Anthony that I did a quick Google search and saw that the average cost to reroute a sewer line was $5,000-$6000. He said that the $12,000 was the bare minimum that they could do. Also, they sent Cleveland water and Fire Restoration to clean up the basement. Both Anthony and Cleveland water and Fire Restoration assured that payment wouldn't be an issue because insurance will handle it. Both were lies. They say these things to get your business. And they overcharge you. They take advantage of new homeowners, who do not know any plumbers, and are just doing a quick Google search for a plumber. I have it two stars because they did their jobs. But they overcharge you and mislead you into believing that insurance will pay for it. And if insurance doesn't pay for it then they'll still overchar

2. This company came out immediately and was able to fix our issues immediately. They were professional, thorough, and did a great job. We had two separate incidents in regards to our plumbing and even though they sent out different technicians (Kyle, Joe the Plumber, and Anthony) for both incidents, all of them did a great job and were able to fix our issues immediately. I would definitely recommend!

I have no issue with the installation. Jason did a good job and was very friendly. My issue is with price of the installation that was set a day prior with an ARS estimator. After taking a look at the old water heater and where it was going to be installed, he handed me basically what was a price guide to their installation cost for different installs. I looked at mine, which was a standard 40 gallon install and my eyeballs almost popped out of my head. I had already purchased the water heater, so minus what I paid for it from their replacement and install cost and I was looking at close to $1500! When I asked him what is included in that cost, he replied rather uncomfortably, a permit, labor and some minor modifications. But the tone in his voice, which didn't sound very genuine, felt sorry for me all of a sudden and told me he would contact his boss to see what he could do. A real setup to make the customer feel euphoric when he comes back with a better deal. Like dealing for a car with a slick salesman. He even made sure I could hear his conversation outside by putting it on speaker phone. He then came back in my house and announced $925. Still an outrageous charge for just 2 hours of work. I was stuck, though, having not had hot water for three days, so I accepted the installation charge begrudgingly. He and his boss, in my opinion, were just playing the sales pitch actors. Lesson to be learned here: seek a second opinion if it all possible. And I can't recommend you have your installation done by ARS.

Just for some reference on who I am, which might help someone reading this, I am a wokring-for-a-living, single women homeowner in Garfield Heights, who is struggling to get by (just as everyone else around here is). Last weekend I had the unfortunate experience of my sewage line backing up into my 1958 ranch home. I have never been through that before in any of the houses I've owned. I called my sister, who has been through that, several times in fact, and she recommended Rescue Rooter. It was a late Saturday afternoon, and they came out right away, no problem. My first experience was with Dan, the Service Technician who snaked my sewer line, and then with John H., who came and did the camera service a few days after that (the camera service is included for free!!). Dan got the line flowing again, and he was completely OK with me watching and asking a billion questions! He was very friendly, and courteous, and stuck it out until I had a working sewer line again! Then John H., who did the camera, was just as knowledgeable & friendly, and got me set up for the repairs needed quickly and with no problems. These are wonderful guys to work with and Rescue Rooter is a great company to call! HGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! Thank you guys!

I had service done main basement was flooded.about 1 ft. tj was the tech...he was awsome determine to get it unclogged..and it was tough tough one .hes hard worker.no doubt a asset to company.i would always ask for him.because his determination to get me ok .and camera guy next day was very knowledgeable of also..and to explain it also. Marco from ARS came out recently to help with a persistent draining issue. He responded within about an hour of my initial call and was able to fix the issue we'd been having. We were very impressed with his professionalism and knowledge. Highly recommend.

I had to get a drain checked out with a camera and video. Jim S. from the Cleveland, OH office came and took a look. This company was very attentive with communication and Jim checked two different outdoor underground drain lines for me when he came out to make sure nothing was leaking. I called Rescue Rooter because I believed I was having a problem with pipe(s) leaking in my ceiling. A same-day appointment was scheduled for me, which the plumbing specialist, Larry, showed up at my home on time. Larry professionally greeted me with a smile and proceeded to cover his shoes with booties before entering my house. Larry did a walk-through of my home from the basement to the second floor, carefully examining the walls, ceiling, and listening for sounds of dripping water. Larry determined that a water leak issue was not causing the sound I was hearing.

I was very relieved and flabbergasted at the same time. This company sends out a Plumbing specialist with a trainee. They didn't come up with a pricey estimate of things to be done immediately, nor was there a trip charge, which is unheard of.

I greatly appreciate the respect, honesty, sincerity, and the professionalism of ARS Rescue Rooter Plumbing Service. I'm a 70-year-old senior citizen, and I believe ARS Rescue Rooter rescued me in every way. The plumber was very friendly and kind. Explained the problem he seen an what it would take to fix it. He quoted us a higher price but once he seen it would take less work he was more than willing to bring the price down to a more affordable range for us . He was great to work with.

Called ARS to help diagnose a water back up issue. They went above and beyond
diagnosing the issue, up to and including speaking with the city and county on my behalf. Great customer service! Would absolutely recommend them to anyone who needs plumbing related assistance.

Plummer Technician was friendly and really got to the problem right away!

Jacin was the tech who came out to clear my main sewer line. He was very courteous and professional. The line was cleared and inspected with an endoscope. Once we realized the issue was root intrusion, Jacin went back in with the snake and attempted to clear as much of it as he could. He was as thorough as he could be. I am happy with the service, and with Jacin, but feel the charge was excessive. The web site advertises $89 main drain clearing, but apparently that's only if they do it from an outside cleanout. Since I don't have an outside cleanout, I was informed that the charge would be $429! That's excessive as compared to what is advertised on the web site considering the only difference is that the tech needed to come into the house. If I need this service again, I'll be shopping around for a better price, or at least for a company that doesn't hook you in with one advertised price only to inform you the charge will be significantly more because of an insignificant circumstance. I feel I was a victim of bait and switch.

Not out to help the customer needs, only there to find out how much they can make off of them. Would not recommend or use again.

The office called to let us know the installer was on his way. He was a little later than estimated time but within reason. They had called the day before to confirm.

The installer had a few challenges in draining our old tank based on the age of the tank.. He had to get creative but he was successful and was able to remove the old tank from our home. The new tank looks great. He gave us the information we needed to have for this new tank. He was doing the hauling of the new one in and the old one out in 14 degree weather.

The office called to check on progress and handled the payment paperwork and we immediately had an email receipt. They gave us the discounts they could. Pricing was reasonable.

A hot water tank costs around $650-700. ARS charges approximately $1200+ to do the installation that takes less than 2 hours. Labor charges are around $600 an hour.

Our plumber technician Kenneth was excellent and efficient. He was straightforward with what we needed Got the job done fast. Definitely will recommend and use them for future needed plumbing issue.

Fast, Informative, Felt Safe

We hired ARS to come inspect and potentially clear our drain back up near our washer. Chris was on time (early actually!) professional and efficient. He inspected the issue and realized he would in fact need need to snake the drain and found we had a TON of roots built up in the drain. He got it all cleared up quickly and left the area just as clean as he found it. He was very informative and gave me some tips to keep up with it in the future and they offered a 30 day warranty in case anything popped back up. I highly recommend ARS for any plumbing needs!

Kenneth came out to give me an estimate on cleaning a basement drain. I found out it was completely normal to have water inside the drain. We are first time home owners and are learning as we go! He found where to turn on our outside spigot for us and gave me a quote to replace our garbage disposal. He was super helpful, knowledgeable, and personable. This company is a complete rip off will never use them again. I had roots coming threw the sewer line. They charge 900.00 an hour and they did absolutely nothing. They brought a jet barely used it and maybe actually worked on it for a half hour. Then quoted us 26,000.00 to rip up our entire patio and driveway and put in all new pipe and said ours was bad. I went with another company that took their time and worked on the issues and our pipes are completely clear and looked at the camera and our pipes are completely fine. They charged us 1200.00 total and that was even with a couple visits. ARS does not care about actually working to fix the problem they're in it to rip people off.

My agent was very nice, prompt, explained what he was doing and cleaned up after. I am a customer for life now.

Plumber was in for less than an hour and was courteous and professional. Plumber did not wear shoe covers or gloves as stated on the Companies Covid disclaimer. Replaced the wax ring on toilet and come to find out we were drastically overcharged. I also read on the Covid disclaimer that customers will be screened prior to a visit and we were not screened before the plumber entered our residence. We were referred to this company by a friend and will not be using again or referring.

These guys came out and did a free estimate to take up the toilet and snake the drain they wanted to charge me $550. That is ridiculous

Excellent service

Booked an estimate for a main line backup. Everything in house running slowly all in same week. Was quoted almost 300 for 3 different drains each because he said couldnt be main since it wasn't backing up onto basement floor when flushing. Chose to get my own auger and clean out what ended up being a baby wipes clog from my young daughter flushing them. One basement drain auger later.... Problem solved and saved myself 900. Moral of the story, never trust someone who acts like your common sense observation is stupid.

The staff member gave great advice regarding the plumbling

Beware, this company is not a trustworthy company. I had this company out to unplug a backed up sewer line in a apartment building. The tech unplugged the line with a small snack, but never recommend using a large head to make sure line was cleared, since we already pulled the toilet. Charge $250 fair price

Few days later my tenant called and said the line is backed up again. I was out of town so I called this company back out, thinking they would help me out since they didn't get it fixed the first time. The tech camera line and said line had a lot of scaling, cast iron line was falling apart. He recommend excavating outside replacing part of the line and cleaning out line under building, cost $4700. since I was not there I said I would like to wait. So he said they would pull the toilet, and jet the line out. $679 charge which he quoted $650 but I needed the unit working.

2 days later everything is backed up again. I called another company they pulled the toilet ran a large snake 75 feet to make sure line was cleared $275. Sewer line been working ever since. My tenant said they never pulled the toilet and never communicated every was working again but just sat in their trucks for a hour and took off. I would never use this company again and trying to get my money back for the second charge, for not completing the work quoted.

Called on emergency job at 9 PM guy came in a half an hour and started the job was done within two hours very satisfied with job professional and great product knowledge two thumbs up

I hired ARS Rescue Rooter to do run sanitary and water lines to an old house undergoing renovations. I could tell that Jon was taking my project more seriously than some of the others that came to give estimates, which I appreciated, in addition to being at or below the others' prices. After a plan was in place, the gentleman leading the work, Mark, offered recommendations on some ways that might work better in real life. I really valued the fact that they did not just stick to the plan, but wanted to give us the most efficient and maintainable end-product. Jason came after to connect some plumbing inside the house- he was professional and worked quickly. We have yet to load the lines (to avoid freezing), but so far I am very pleased with the work done.

Within a couple of hours of discovering the water tank leak ARS was on site providing an estimate to replace including multiple options and less than 48 hrs later they were replacing said water heater. They were prompt, courteous, and professional. I highly recommend these guys.

I could not have asked for a better experience. From me reaching out to having them inspect and even install the new hot water tank was less than 24 hours. both techs were super professional and made sure to explain everything I would need to know. I would gladly use ARS again.

Everything was going wonderfully initially. Brian was very kind, came Friday January 8th and repaired my basement toilet. It took longer than the manager estimated, but he was a good sport about it. He was also supposed to fix my shower that runs extremely hot or cold (no in between) I told him I had already replaced the cartridge which the plumbers initially said would fix it. He took a look and came down saying he was confused but sounds like air got in my pipes which is what was causing the loud knocking so he would have to come back today January 8th with another person to help navigate the issue. We both agreed 3pm would be a good time. I called around 130 to confirm the appointment which the lady said I had an appointment at 3. I had an event I was attending and left early to get home on time. I waited an hour and a half having called twice to which both reps said that Brian wasn’t answering his phone. The second rep let me know the location was closed until Monday. I am utterly frustrated because they will expect me to pay full price for a service that was not rendered at the appointed time and I have to now RE inconvenience and move around my life to fit into their availability when this issue was supposed to be worked on Friday and then subsequently resolved Saturday. There we NO communication and now I am left still with a shower my family cannot use. This was unprofessional.

When I called, I told them the basement got flooded and the hot water tank turned off. When they got there, they told me they couldn't light the furnace because of the flood in the basement and charged me $100. If that was the case, they should've informed me before coming out. I could've saved $100. Had another guy come out and fixed it 20 minutes for less than $100.

I had someone come out for a free estimate but didn't have any work done and told them my drain was clogged and that as the water was slowly going down I the plunger and tried plugging the drain was told that if I get some nasty looking water and gunk coming up then I'm loosing the clog and that to keep doing it. This was very helpful information.
