Best Water Heater Repair in San Jose CA

Unreliable appointments. I don't know about their service... I do know about their customer service. I made an appointment a week ago for Sat 1-3pm. (I work weekdays as many of us). I left my family at the beach to meet the plumber at my house in San Jose . As I pulled into my garage in San Jose at 1pm, they called and cancelled the appointment. They might do good work... I don't know. And will never know. I am not going to make another appointment with this unreliable company.

Responsive and professional. I was given a 2-hr time slot for my Morgan Hill home and the tech was early. He took care of the problem (snaking two slow toilets), was clean, courteous and negotiated a fair price. Five stars.

We used Marti's Plumbing Service for an emergency water heater change-out in June, 2021. We also asked that they apply for a building permit on our behalf, and Marti's agreed.

The technician sent by Marti's did not install all of the necessary parts for the water heater. He also cut the line between the water heater and the washer and caused a leak. Only after multiple conversations did Marti's compensate us for the amount that we had paid to repair the leak.

Marti's also refused to apply for a building permit after their initial promise, so I applied for a water heater change-out permit on my own. I received the following list of corrections from the City of Cupertino's building inspector. I called Marti's many times to bring the water heater up to code, because they provide a one-year warranty with their services, but it was very difficult to reach them to schedule a follow-up visit.

City of Cupertino's List of Required Corrections:

1. Single wall vent connector for water heater requires 6 min clearance to combustibles ( Sheetrock ) and single wall connector not approved for penetrating rated assembly.
2. Provide access to vent flue to verify B-vent or install new for water heater flue.
3. Provide insulation on first 5'ft of water lines at water heater
4. T&P piping at termination to not be threaded and to terminate 6-24 off garage floor or pipe to exterior and maintain same termination clearance off ground surface
5. Water heater to be fully blocked and braced
6. Water heater bracing at lower brace to be located within bottom 1/3 and 4 above control valve
7. Tighten water heater bracing
8. Provide water bond hot to cold and to gas line.
9. Provide approved expansion tank brace and install per manufactures installation instructions
10. Provide sediment trap on gas line after the valve and before the flex

Jaime is highly skilled and professional plumber that I haven’t met before. He finished the job on time, on budget and maintained high quality throughout. He replaced multiple faucets across multiple restrooms, and a toilet fill valve, all for an affordable price. I would strongly recommend and hire Local Rooter services again for my plumbing needs!

After getting an outrageous quote from a Home Depot referenced plumber for replacing my water heater, I found Chandler via Home Advisor. Brian provided a reasonable quote over the phone after I described the scope of work. He showed up on time and honored his quote even though the SOW wasn’t quite as I had described it. His man Ray finished the job quickly and expertly. I was very pleased and I highly recommend Chandler Plumbing!

I had an excellent experience with Bueno Plumbing. Started with a toilet leak fix and then added a couple lingering problems, which they fixed in short order. Highly recommend this business.

Waited for 8 hours for these people to show up for a clogged kitchen drain. They kept telling me somebody would call me shortly, but nobody ever showed up. Horrible business

It’s not always easy to get a good plumber - and when you need one, you probably REALLY need one. We’ve used San Jose Drain and Main multiple times, and each time they have been outstanding! They fixed several different random plumbing issues (shower leak, clogged sink leak, recirculation pump involving copper repair…our house is aging) but both Giovani and Sam have been responsive, professional and friendly as well. These guys know what they’re doing, fixing our problems and stress. Classy outfit, highly recommend.

Mr Efen Sanchez was my tech or plumber second time around. He’s knowledgeable, he’s patient and organized. He’s straight forward and will provide options. The important quality about Efen, he’ freakin FOCUS!!! To sum it up, I was in good hands.
