Best Hvac System Repairs in Nashville TN

I had two other companies come out to my house to look at my broken AC this past summer (during an extreme hot spell). Both companies charged for a service call. On top of that, they each wanted to charge me an additional $275 to $280 to do tests (diagnostics) for coil leaks — and my AC still wouldn’t have been fixed. I was shocked that my two year old unit could already have coil leaks. One of those companies tried to charge me $270 for adding coolant, which he said might leak out and would have to be added again (with an additional charge).

My son in-law recommended Copeland & Son. The office staff were so friendly and understanding. They sent someone out quickly. The technician was very kind and informative. He knew what was wrong immediately. He said the person who installed my unit (only two years ago) didn’t follow codes when he installed my unit. He said, “There’s nothing wrong with your coils or your unit, it’s your supply line.” All of this should have been done by the installer (who was also one of the two people who came out before Copeland & Son).

I had a king size headboard, footboard, frame and slats in front of my crawlspace door and a ton of things stored in my crawlspace. I’m sure they must have had to move everything to do the repair. Copeland & Son must have had to move everything in front of the door to get in my crawlspace as well, in order to do their work. They never complained or said anything about it. I couldn’t even tell they moved anything, until I recently went in my crawlspace and saw that they actually left my crawlspace more organized and straightened out than it was. I couldn’t tell anyone had been in my house and my AC was fixed.

Thank you Copeland & Son, for being so honest and kind. I won’t call anyone else.

Only at the initial quoting phase at time of writing, but Colden was very friendly, transparent, and knowledgeable. Normally with decisions like this I would shop for another opinion, but when he quoted the work Frog would do, he broke down all the details in ways I could reasonably check against others online, and I feel they offered me a quality deal. I intend to go forward with the work pending financial decision factors. I would definitely use them again.

These guys do everything they can to solve a problem. They give great pricing and do honest work.

My AC went out, so I called Surfin Plumbers. Jeremy came out to my house promptly, investigated the issue, and explained it to me thoroughly in plain English. He discussed all my options, gave his professional advice, and moved forward with the option I chose immediately after I let him know my decision.

The whole unit needed replacing (it was older than I am!), and Jeremy gave me a fair price with full explanation of the breakdown. The workers, Kyle and Joe, were kind, punctual, and left the place cleaner than it was before they got there.

I needed to replace my water heater also, and was so impressed with their work with my AC I went ahead and used their services for the water heater too! I highly recommend this company!

We used Jewell to service my mother’s HVAC unit. Brian was very professional and helpful. The amount charged was very reasonable.

I saw good review for Matthew Burkeen, the owner / plumber & chose to call him to replace 2 outdoor faucets. I experienced Matthew as personable and friendly. He told me upfront his availability & the cost to replace the 2 outdoor faucets would be around $275 total ($85 per faucet & labor). I texted him to clarify the work I was requesting after that initial call, which he acknowledged. Upon the appt however, he informed me AFTER the work was complete that the charge was double the original quoted price due to extra fittings. In my opinion it was unprofessional to not communicate this upfront (prior to starting or finishing the work) and although he took some $ off and apologized, it felt off to me. I understand prices can change upon a situation however, please talk to the client directly prior to the work or ASAP. I contacted Matthew for a paper trail afterwards to clarify materials used & he proceeded to tell me that I initially only requested 1 faucet (why the price was different than expected) when I have documentation showing my initial text with date confirming 2 faucets.

Apart from the communication topics, the work appears to be resolved decently enough. I want to support local family businesses yet would have reservations using this company again. I hope this situation inspires improved communication.
