I'm so glad I discovered Jewell Mechanical. Stan the man and Scott 153 were remarkable. I have been struggling with a Rinnai RL75 hot water heater issue for 2.5 years since we bought our brand new house and the plumber, HVAC installer (not Jewell), Piedmont, and more were unable to explain the gas pressure issues.

Scott and Stan were extremely diligent, trying everything and finally found the issue and fixed it. I literally hugged them when the pressure stayed constant. Stan is a great teacher and allows those who he is mentoring to learn from his skills while not being overbearing. It was great to see them working together and Scott was so kind, thorough and polite. I can't say enough about these two guys. My experience with them was nothing short of great. Prompt returning of my phone call, honest, reasonable/fair pricing, quick response to scheduling a house call the next day, prompt when showing up, respectful to cover everything in order to keep the place clean when doing their work, excellent clean up as if they were never there, excellent communication as to what was going on, thorough inspection. I honestly can't say enough. Scott was the most wonderful to work with and he deserves a raise! I have dealt with other companies before and am usually disappointed with the service in the end. We have had nothing but crooked contractors and workers come to fix issues with our house since we bought it. Our house was built in the 70s and we were told that issues were fixed that we had requested prior to the purchase. Come to find out, they weren’t! That all changed today! Thankfully Dylan and Brent were able to come out and get the job done. They did a repipe and we no longer have leaks under the house!

We used Jewell to replace a failed compressor. Justin was professional, polite, and obviously very knowledgeable about our unit. The air feels better than it ever has with that AC unit with much less humidity. We will be using them from now on.

We recently used Jewell Mechanical when we found our hot water tank began leaking. Their knowledgeable, friendly technician walked us through our options and helped us make the decision that was best for us. We never felt like we were being delivered a pressured sales pitch (which I have felt from other companies we have used in the past). Due to the complexity of our issue and the need to order a part, we worked with 2 techs over 2 days - Scott and Dylan - and had outstanding experiences with both. Both men were kind, patient, and experienced. While I hope to not have to deal with a broken hot water heater in the future, we will be calling them again if and when we have an issue they can solve. Highly, highly recommend them!

Jewel Mechanical installed my HVAC system several years ago and I am a repeat customer. Brian serviced my HVAC today for spring startup / maintenance. He called prior to arrival with eta and arrived on time, worked quickly and was very professional. Thank you Brian & Jewel Mechanical.

I had some issues with our AC units, and JeWell has always been super responsive and prompt about providing helps. They sent out crew to our home three times to work on the AC units, and Justin did a great job diagnosing the problems and now our AC is back to work without any issue.

Was disappointed in my overall experience. The service technician told me I needed a new HVAC unit and sent me a quote for $5,200. Another HVAC company said I was just low on refrigerant and charged me $125. But Jewell later sent me a $160 bill for the service call and put in the notes that the technician discovered unit low on refrigerant. They also charged me for 1.5 hours of work even though the technician was only here for 30-45 minutes. When I questioned this they said the billing starts from the area that he's dispatched from. So if you use them, hope your technician is coming from somewhere close by.

Jewell Mechanical had a tech out to us on the same day we called in an hour flat. I honestly couldn't believe the rapid response time when they said how soon someone could be out to our house to help us.

Normally we use Hiller for these kinds of issues but we'll be using Jewell Mechanical from now on.

They were cheaper than Hiller, faster to arrive and fix the problem than Hiller, and more professional than some of the techs from Hiller we've received help from in the past.

Jewell Mehcanical has done a great job at G4S. Anytime we have an issue they come out the same day. The reps are great to work with and very helpful!

Tim came for our spring HVAC check and found that we were low on freon. Added some and checked everything else. Due to his professionalism we most likely save our system being down and a service call.

They did a wonderful job fixing our Rinnai tankless water heater. It was a very specialized job that two other plumbers could not figure out. Finally we have hot water again! Would definitely recommend them and will use them again.

I had bought an AC unit from them a while back. When they put the unit in they replaced my perfectly good thermostat with one of theirs. They said it was better plus came with a warranty. I liked my old one but told them to leave it. Recently, I my unit when out and I called them to repair it. They found that it was a faulty thermostat. Great because it was under warranty. The cost of diagnostic was $89. But if I wanted them to replace the thermostat they were going to charge me $347 for the labor of the thermostat and them having to do they paperwork to get the warranty from the thermostat company. I ended up buying my own thermostat for $60 and installed it in under 2 min. This was ridiculous amount of money they were going to charge me. Their warranty was actually going to cost me more money because I would have to pay for them to install it. Just sort of felt like they were price gauging!!! The technician was really nice but the company didn’t seem customer oriented. Taking advantage of people in the heat!!!

Our HVAC system downstairs had an issue with the Coil. Jewell was great getting a technician (Austin T) to come out over the weekend. Austin explained the issue and showed my wife and I what was wrong and what needed to be done. He could not have been more professional and forthright. He won us over and we will keep using Jewell and request Austin.

Austin was quick to come out and check our heat pump when we were noticing problems, part ordered quickly and repaired promptly, Thank you for your service!!!

I recently had a friend help me install a ductless mini-split in my pool house. My friend is an experienced hvac professional...within 2 weeks of installation I started having issues with the unit so I called Jewel Mechanical to come trouble shoot the problem. Within an hour Justin had the problem fixed (poor installaion by me and my friend) and we were back up and running! The moral of the story is call a true professional like Justin AND Jewel Mechanical...they are a great company to work with!

I've been using Jewell Mechanical since the early 2000's and would recommend them to anyone looking for a professional and honest repair or replacement of HVAC equipment. We own 3 homes and I wouldn't trust our HVAC equipment to anyone else. They don't up-sell you like some other companies. Always honest and reasonably priced.
I HIGHLY recommend getting on their HVAC Maintenance Program! They will come each Spring and Fall to ensure your equipment is prepared for the upcoming Summer or Winter seasons. And, if there should be trouble of any kind with your system, you'll get top priority, with a quick service call and repair.

My HVAC system wasn't performing very well. Jewell Mechanical investigated the problem and performed some simple and inexpensive adjustments to get it back on track. How refreshing to get treated honestly when I could have been taken for a ride. I'll call these guys again!

I've been with Jewell Mechanical for 4 years - today, Justin came out to assist with the Heat Maintenance for my home. He wore a mask while being around myself when conducting the maintenance on the heating unit. Justin was very personable, respectful, and friendly when speaking to him. He did show me on a part on the heating unit to look out for in case we notice changes to the unit's working ability. We could've replaced the part this time around; however, I was informed we could wait, but just keep an eye on it. Justin was great answering my questions with no judgement. Thank you, Justin!

Called Jewell for water heater services. I have hot water for about 5-10 minutes then turns freezing cold. Two or three different guys came to repair and all said different things until one decided to replace the elements in the water heater. There was no difference in the water heater, I still have cold water. I got a bill for $400 from them because they changed the elements, talked to a manager and I do still have to pay even though they didn't fix anything. Annoyed with the service.

Tim was great. He was able to get my HVAC unit up and running again.

My AC went out at 6PM on a Sunday during a week of 95+ degree weather. All the other companies said the soonest they could get out was on Wednesday Justin was at my house by 830pm that night, had the part that was needed in his truck, and was done with the repair by 9PM. Can not recommend enough.

Our HVAC was making a loud banging noise and I called Jewell Mechanical. They gave me a date and time for the tech to arrive Brian, Jewell tech, arrived early, diagnosed our problem and advised he would order the needed part and return the following day. He also showed us how to get heat without using the heat pump. Brian returned the following day and made the repair between rain showers and periods of thunder and lightening, Thank you Brian for the quick and courteous service.

Jewell Mechanical has now replaced two of my old HVAC units. Service has always been prompt, professional, and at a fair price.

I have been with Jewell Mechanical for about 10 years. They have replaced both my HVAC units over the years with good products at good prices. I have had a service contract with them for twice yearly maintenance of my systems. Josh Koehn has been my technician for maintenance several times and he is one of the reasons for my 5-star rating. He is extremely knowledgeable, professional while being friendly and personable at the same time. He frequently comes at the early end of my time window, takes time to explain anything I ask about and gets everything done in a timely manner. He represents the company very well. The only objection I have ever had with the company was the cost of replacing a thermostat, but in fairness to the company I didn't ask the cost up front....and they did discount it some afterwards. Despite that, I have stayed with them because they do good work and Josh is one of the ones who do that good work!

His name was Hunter Gentry which done a great job at repairing our hvac unit. We were back up and running in no time, communicated with me at all steps of the job. I have used Jewell Mechanical twice in the last month for plumbing issues. Scott did the work both times. He replaced a leaking shut-off valve on the commode and unclogged the shower drain. There was a major problem with the toilet in the basement of the church parsonage and it had to be replaced.. It had been done wrong originally by the builders. So Jewell sent Mr. Scott Wilson out and he had to completely replace the flange and install a new toilet in a concrete floor. The flange had been glued to the pipe and it was major job. But with 30 years experience, the job he did was absolutely beautiful.

I'm the Bishop of the church, age 74 and have never seen a better job done more professionally. Jewell Mechanical also did the work at Point of Mercy, our church in Nashville, and it was the same excellent work there. Use Jewell Mechanical and you will never go elsewhere. They are the best. I recently had a new HVAC heating and cooling system installed. I couldn't have asked for

Used Jewell for some HVAC units that were not working. Matt Simmonds, our repair tech took car of us quickly, professionally, and with great customer service.

Had problem with unit that had been installed by another service company, shortly aft installation, they were unable to rectify after numerous attempts. Contacted Jewell Mechanical, they were able to get handle on problem, make necessary corrections and repair for very reasonable minimal charge. Since that, they have been doing semi annual maint on unit and service has been quite satisfactory. Techs are knowledgeable and courteous as well as professional.

I believe it’s very important to give positive feedback when a great service is provided. One of my early on careers was in HVAC. So a few days ago I decided to do my own maintenance on one of my units at my office. I had no issues getting the unit apart and clean but then when it was time to reassemble let’s just say I may of had a few Choice words for myself. I called Jewell & the very pleasant Nickie answered & got me on the books immediately. She notified me the tech would call when on his way. Hunter called letting me know he was on his way. Tim - with Jewell came out on Christmas Eve and resolved a three year old issue with our heat pump in a matter of a couple of hours. These folks are courteous, friendly and professional. If you need help with your HVAC or Plumbing they are THE BEST!

Due to a lack of upstairs cooling, we sought out Jewell Mechanical online to diagnose our HVAC system. Jack came out and was extremely helpful, nice and thorough and we are much cooler upstairs now thanks to his good work!

As a new homeowner, wanted to make sure our HVAC was running smoothly and set up for years of future success. The team at Jewell came recommended by other local businesses and was very pleasant to deal with. Our service tech, Justin, was professional, friendly, and happy to walk me through the details of our unit. Will definitely call again!

I don't leave reviews often. However, in this case it is warranted. On 12/23, late in the evening, I found that there was a large amount of water from my hot water heater that had leaked into the collection pan. This was a major issue as I was supposed to be visiting with family for the holidays. I had a very hard time getting a hold of someone. While I was able to get ahold of one place before Jewell, that place wasn't available until 12/24 and wanted to charge over $600 for the first hour to come out, with each additional hour being over $200 (which is outrageous even for a holiday). I was very thankful when Scott from Jewell returned my call. He spent time trying to help me stabilize the issue (walking through trying to turn off the breaker and water supply to the heater etc.). Given the lateness, he was not able to come on 12/23 but did schedule for 7:30am the next morning. Scott texted me on 12/24 when he was on his way and was professional the entire time, even using tarps to keep the space clean. Thanks to Scott, the breaker and water to the heater were turned off, the leaked water and the tank drained, and everything cleaned up, allowing me to still visit with family for the holidays. While I was charged a holiday rate, it was very reasonable and Scott was honest and upfront throughout the whole process. I wish more people conducted themselves in the same manner Scott did.

All I've got to say is KEENAN FORD! Call and ask for him. He did a marvelous job with my heating system.

Austin was great. He thoroughly analyzed our system and addressed its problems. He ordered two motors that were not currently in production but tracked them down and had them shipped. Could not have been nicer or more efficient.

I had two experiences recently. First, my water heater had a drip. Scottie from plumbing came out and fixed it up. Knowledgeable and professional, he fixed it at a fraction of what I budgeted. Next, it was high time I serviced my HVAC. Austin #2 came over and helped me understand the answers to all my questions. No issues at all but I probably should have tipped. Oh well, there will be a next time. Cannot sing enough praises.

I've had Jewel service my HVAC system several times, but this is the first time I've written a review. I called them most recently because my heat would not turn off in my bedrooms. The initial service tech that came to inspect my system said he fixed the issue and charged me the $89 service fee, but he missed the problem. So a second tech was sent out but also missed the problem. I called again to let them know I was still having issues, and this time one of the service managers, Scott, came out with a tech and quickly identified AND FIXED the issue. Not only did they not try to replace a part that was fixable with a few screws, but when I offered to pay for the return visit to fix the problem they would not accept any money since they misdiagnosed the issue initially. It's rare to find customer service like that anymore. I wouldn't call any one else for my heating and cooling needs!

Matt S. with Jewell came out for a service today but he went above and beyond the regular visit. He informed us of an issue with another piece of equipment, on our roof, and while up there, she removed some debris from storm and touched up our gutters! Again, above & beyond the standard service. This is not a review of the services of the company. It is a review of the driver of their company van. On 6.5.19 around 4:20 pm the driver of this van accelerated off of Rivergate Parkway onto I-65N and proceeded to cross two lanes of traffic with no concern for the rush hour traffic. The driver also failed to use the blinker to indicate that he/she was forcing their way across two lanes of traffic because HE/SHE was in a hurry. I backed off from this reckless driver after my passenger took this photo because we wanted to make it home intact and I need my car to get to and fro work. I understand that those of us who drive private cars can act like idiots sometimes (not an excuse just a fact) but when someone is driving a COMPANY van they should heed caution and not drive reckless. This driver is a representative for the company and I was not the only one to take notice of the madcap driving skills. At one point I made eye contact with a driver beside, me who this driver cut off, and we both just threw our hands up in the air in agreement. So Jewell Mechanical the name of your company is now ingrained negatively in a dozen or so minds because of your careless driver.

I am not happy with the compitence of the technician that came to repair my HVAC system. I feel the motor repair was done poorly. A part was removed and not replaced. Bad workmanship was used as the tech taped a wire to the out side of the unit instead of putting it inside the unit where it belongs. When I asked the tech if he was going to check the freon while he was there, he acted surprised that I asked. I now know why. He did not know how to check the coolant. I was told there was no freon at all and needed a $900.00 additional service call to find a leak plus freon. I had a tech from another company check the system and found the system had the perfect level of coolant and needed no leak repair of $900.00 plus freon. I hope Jewell will look into this.

I had a service call with Craig J on Friday September 20 2019. I was given plenty of notice as I was told would happen, he was professional and gave me every option possible to fix my issue that day.

Another good experience with Jewell Mechanical: this time with the plumbing department. Four days before Thanksgiving my hot water heater took out. Within 24 hours of my call to Jewell, Dave B. was on site assessing the problem. In fact, he took care of the replacement installation within just a few hours. Hats off to Dave B. Today Jewell Mechanical's HVAC Tech, Tim, changed my home from a sauna into a comfortable living space again. Admittedly, I waited a few days for my appointment to arrive. But it was well worth the wait. The service was exceptional in every way and the value was fantastic! This wasn't my first experience with Jewell. They installed a ductless system in my shop a few years back. Same story with that install. They are, and will continue to be, my Go To company for all things HVAC and plumbing. Special shout out to Tim for today's job well done. He went above and beyond.

This company was responsive to my call and met my schedule as requested to fix my heating issue. Austin performed what looked to be a full systematic check of my heating system. He kept me updated throughout the diagnostic process, provided me options, pricing and an honest take that all option may not be 100% due to the nature of my mechanical issue being intermittent. Most of all I did NOT feel that Austin tried to sell me something I did not need. I’ll use Jewell again if needed and will ask for Austin.

David Moore arrived right on time on a stormy, late afternoon and replaced a part on my central unit, working in the pouring rain. After my call to the company, he arrived within about 30 minutes He was very courteous and did an excellent job in a short amount of time, getting my unit up and running, explaining what the problem was. Justin came out to the house and did an excellent job. He wore a mask while working, which I appreciated. He cleaned the condenser unit and found a leak/low refrigerant in the cooling coil. Rather than be pushy to buy a new unit, he said I should be able to use the unit for a while longer. He explained that when it freezes up, I will need a replacement. I am grateful that he checked and cleaned the unit, and let me know what to look for when it freezes up. I signed up for the maintenance plan and highly recommend Jewel Mechanical. Great work!

Followup October 2020
Justin came out again for the maintenance plan heating checkup. He programed my thermostat for automatic mode and found that the heating strips power was turned off. Thanks to him I will be very comfortable this winter. Great job again!

Jewell Mechanical Serviceman, Josh K. arrived at our residence as scheduled. He performed the seasonal check of our heating system. In my 66 years on this planet, I have never had an HVAC serviceman as thorough as Josh. He checked things that no other HVAC tech has ever checked during a seasonal checkup. He was polite, proficient and thorough. I will never bother with comparing HVAC contractors again. I’ve found the best one in Nashville! They are honest, reliable and they don’t try to up-sell you! I couldn’t be more pleased!

Brian showed up on time this morning to perform a replacement that was thought to be needed, but after examination, the condenser did NOT need be replaced and I was not charged for the visit. Brian was friendly, prompt and was very customer focused and I appreciate that. Jewell is lucky to have guys like Brian!

We had water backing up into our office from the furnace out in the warehouse. Drain pan was empty so we really didn't know what was the issue but knew something bad was wrong. Called Jewell and they sent Justin over to take a look. He found the issue pretty quickly and replaced the condensate pump and cleaned out all lines. Everything was back up and running smoothly within a few hours.

We called Jewell about 11 this morning because HVAC wasn’t cooling as it should and the efficient dispatcher was able to set up an appointment between 2 and 4 this afternoon. I recently moved to Nashville from New York City. Just finished purchasing a house and the hvac system was old. I immediately began shopping around and came across Jewell Mechanical. From the very beginning David Mossor was very responsive and answered all my questions. The team he sent out to install my hvac unit did a fantastic job. I never got their names, but they truly deserve credit. Everyone that comes by the house, expresses what a great job they’ve done. Travis also came by and installed and air purifier unit. Josh Soto was extremely professional and helped identify and solve the issue we were having with our HVAC duct. Jewell Mechanical has been helpful and prompt each time we have called and I highly recommend them.

I've used Jewell a few times over the last year since the contractor for our renovation used them to move our A/C unit from one side of our house to the other. I've always found them to be very professional and reasonably priced. Most recently we needed a simple job to replace a part (we had bought the part ourselves but couldn't install it). They sent Josh K out on 4/14 and he knocked it out in about 1.5 hours. He was on time and very friendly (even with our German Shepherd). They charge a flat rate for these types of jobs, so you can ask ahead of time what it will cost and not be worried that you'll get charged for endless hours of work. I'll be using them again for sure.

I was very happy with Jewell. They were able to book an appointment around my schedule. The tech that came out (Soto) was very polite and professional. He walked me through every step of the repair process. I would highly recommend Jewell.

Scott, Dave were great in helping us decide what type of HVAC system to install in our house. They were very generous with their time and expertise. When we finally pulled the trigger, they scheduled us right away. Nathan & Muhammed were FANTASTIC. We had a couple of bumps in the road; electric not hooked up, we hadn't installed drywall where the air handlers were suppose to go. They worked with us to get the job done, were patient and went above and beyond to get our new units up and running! They also were able to complete 2 more HVAC projects in our house to their to do list while here.

Jewell Mechanical was excellent to work with. The service call woman mad it easy for us and was able to get a service tech out in a couple hours. Brian, the service tech, was prompt an honest. I have their maintenance plan and it's great! I had a 30yr old HVAC that only needed minor fixes since they checked it twice a year, but that's quite old and so I got to a point where I just wanted to replace it. They had great pricing and options and I love the new system. When I've had an urgent no heat/air issue, they were able to come out same day. I like calling and immediately getting to talk to someone vs. an automatic answer press 1 type thing. Highly recommend.

Our hot water heater went out and was leaking downstairs. Dave at Jewell Mechanical was quick to come out and access the damage. Russell and Douglas then came to replace the water heater and they could not have been more courteous, talented or knowledgeable. Justin was very professional and courteous. He arrived early (called to make sure it was okay). Our fan motor was locking up and he was able to free it up long enough for the replacement motor to come in. Justin said the motor would be in on Thursday (2 days later), and it did. We needed a new water heater. I always get 3 bids. We had already used Jewell to replace our HVAC system a couple years ago and had a great experience with them. Sometimes when you get bids it's not just about the cost. Jewell was not the lowest bid but we went with them anyway based on their great service and warranty. We would recommend them to anyone!

I'm the first to admit that I rarely post reviews however, these guys have truly earned my positive feed back and to not do so would honestly be a disservice to anyone who may read this.
I should first back track before addressing my experience with the company today. In 2018, our upstairs unit stopped cooling properly and we struggled for a week or better to have it diagnosed. This was also during the tail end of the summer, so it was still fairly warm. After getting several diagnoses to include estimates for replacement, we decided to go with Josh because he appeared to be very knowledgeable about our old unit and also provided part estimates for replacement as well as what we should do with our old unit. I'm still with the company nearly 3 years later and I've not been let down yet. Today, Josh sent a service person here as scheduled to preform a yearly maintaince service on our units as well as install a new air filtering system. Austin showed up on time and went straight to work. After finishing up Austin articulated very thing he had done to our units and explained how our new clean air system worked. Again, I had a painless experience and have been left with quality work. In my opinion, this company continues to remain consistant regarding top quality work and price. I have to give this company 5 stars.

I cannot thank Chris K. and Zach J. enough for the excellent service they provided in repairing my duct work due to damage done by squirrels that had invaded the basement during the winter and sealing all the joints. I was not able to go to the basement with them so Zach took pictures of the work performed and explained how the repairs were made and promised to email copies for my files. Chris noticed that the compressor did “not sound right” and he told me he would check it out. The problem was loose bolts in the casing which he immediately handled. Both gentlemen were very knowledgeable, efficient and extremely professional. They are great ambassadors for the company.

During a routine inspection of my furnace by another HVAC company, I was told I needed an all-new HVAC system to the tune of $10,117. The tech also recommended air duct cleaning and aerosealing for an additional $3,819. If I got it all done together, he'd give me a discount. Total: $13,436.

That didn't sit right with me as everything had been working fine, even though the system is older. So after reading the Google reviews for Jewell Mechanical, I took a chance and called them, though I'd never dealt with them before. I was surprised when I was told someone would come out the same day!

Austin was meticulous in his testing of my furnace. He didn't have a carbon monoxide tester with him so he drove about 45 minutes roundtrip to rendezvous with another service tech to borrow his tester. He checked everything the tech from the other company said was faulty and found nothing wrong. He was kind, professional and thorough and wore his mask throughout his stay. Though he could have badmouthed the other company, he didn't.

Upshot? I was happy to pay for the service call. And when it's time for a new HVAC, I know who I'm going to call!

I have used Jewell for 2 years to give maintenance twice a year on my HVAC units. They come in the spring to check the AC and in the fall to check the heating. They have been prompt, thorough, and professional. I signed the 3 year agreement which reduced the cost significantly. I will continue to use them.

These guys were great. Just needed some maintenance on a couple AC units for my house, and I was able to schedule an appointment very quickly. Josh was the mechanic, and did quick work. The units run much more efficiently now. I recommend.

Brent McCoy was able to get my water up and running again when someone from a competitor had quoted several thousand dollars for a new water heater. He was very up front and honest about pricing, time and the outlook for the unit's longevity after repair. We will replace the unit eventually but Brent's repair saved the day and restored hot water much quicker (same day service) and is allowing us time to properly plan for the replacement need. Serious RED FLAGS
This company is not upfront with all the fees they will charge you. The price on the invoice (double!) is full of hidden and folded in fees. TWICE - The invoice arrived incomplete, I had to ask each time to have a proper accounting of hours and material costs (which still ended up being incomplete). For their repairs they charge DOUBLE what the actual time it takes to make the repair. BEWARE - they will not tell you there are inspection fees, dumping fees, loading truck fees and trip fees. Most other companies I've worked with are very honest - telling you beforehand about these fees AND listing them on their invoice. Instead this company will tell you that they charge an hourly rate but then the number of hours are inflated from the actual time it takes to make the repair. In my case, both times they wanted to charge me DOUBLE the hours - a repair that took 2.5 hours they wanted to charge 5 hours - then claiming that it was truck loading time.

I needed emergency service when my 4 year old HVAC quit. The company that installed the HVAC has yet to even return my call days later, and another couldn’t perform emergency service until a week from now (???). But Jewell answered promptly, with a real, helpful person, and someone was here within a couple hours. And, when a part had to be replaced, they even sorted out my warrantee with the original installers for me.

We could not have been happier with our recent service from Jewell Mechanical! We did not have any hot water and Dave B. was in touch with us quickly, and was at our house right away after we talked. He was extremely honest, and told us the problem was created by a mouse that chewed a hole in a rubber condensate drain cap. We had hot water back in a flash! These days it is very important if a company is honest! We have dealt with many people that were not honest (from another company) and even caught some doing things to our hvac unit to make it seem like we needed a new unit. We recently had the pleasure of working with Jewel Mechanical after having an issue with our system and I can confidently say that they exceeded my expectations in every way. Our technician, Curly, was fantastic. The expertise, professionalism, and customer service we received sets them apart from other companies we've used in the past.

I just had a wonderful experience. We had a power surge that fried out newer tankless water heater. I called after hours and was dispatched to a tech. The person who called me back helped me troubleshoot and was super honest with the assessment that it would either be a board-level repair or replacement. Because of this helpful honesty and it not being just an after-hours receptionist like the other places I called, I followed up and got an appointment for the next day. The person I spoke with in the office was also super friendly and helpful and I was scheduled right away.

Next, Russel came to my house. And was super friendly and helpful. He spoke with the manufacturer of the water heater and helped get the boards replaced. It's only a year old and it made sense to repair it if that was possible. I know that if I had service from other plumbing companies that they wouldn't have gone through the trouble and would have recommended a full water heater replacement. I'm a long-game person, and being honest like that is what compelled me to write this review, and also I'll be using Jewell again for myself, and clients. They weren't my regular plumber or HVAC company going into this, but the fact that they were there after hours to speak to, and have provided stellar honest service, I will be back.

As always Jewell Mechanical saves the day. I use them for my home and rental properties.. Tenant had no AC or heat. Austin not only diagnosed the issue quickly but also replaced the part, all in 30 minutes. Justin services my house. I have a system that is always on the fritz but her always brings it back to life. I hate long reviews so I’m going to get to the point. THE BEST! These guys know old systems and new systems, are honest (fix only the problem as opposed to selling you unnecessary equipment), answer stupid questions graciously, don’t mind if you crawl under the house or up in the attic with them, explain the issues for a normal person to understand, and are the kind of guys you would feel comfortable having do work in your house without you even home. Customer service (Nikki) is delightful and makes the customer feel like they are number one. Although everyone has been a pleasure to work with, I am compelled to write this review because Ronald (Ron) was just here for a Spring cleaning and I am beside myself with how impressed I am with him. He was everything I described above, polite, patient, neat and did MORE than was required; AND after cleaning my outdoor unit he even cleaned out my dog bowl that he just happened to notice was dirty! I’m not kidding!!! He was an absolute delight and the kind of sweet soul you wish there were more of in the world. Thank you!

I have had a seasonal maintenance contract with Jewell Mechanical for many years on two different homes. They always send top notch techs to check my HVAC system, install new filters where needed and point out any potential problems that could become a real issue down the road. Today, Brian came by to do my maintenance and was professional, efficient and courteous. He did what he was supposed to do, and more. Upon arrival at my home I told him where to find everything and also asked he try to do his work with a minimum of oversight since I had a very important Zoom video meeting cominng up within minutes. Brian was fast, efficient, professional and mindful not to make any noise while I was on my video meeting..

In my opinion Brian was a great tech guy, but also a very positive reflection on Jewell Mechanical and their committement to customer service of the highest order.

Josh Soto came out to help us fix our heating unit that had stopped pumping air into the house. Another company had quoted us in the thousands and tried to push a new unit purchase as the best option. Josh was able to do maintenance and repair the issue for less than half what the other company quoted just for the repair. He also went yhr extra mile and tested the unit thoroughly, not settling for just fixing the obvious broken part and leaving. Very informative and walked me through everything he was doing as he did it, and made sure I understood what all was happening.

I highly recommend Jewell mechanical for all things HVAC. They are very knowledgeable and service focused. Josh K. was the technician who serviced our HVAC. I don’t know the amount it’s gonna costs yet. Last Monday my gas was turned off bc of a leak. I called Jewell Mechanical. They sent Rusty out who is a very talented man with a calm disposition and was very patient. We had a massive honey bee nest under our house and rusty couldn’t go under bc it was way too dangerous. So Atmos had to leave our gas off. Which meant; no heat, no hot water etc. We had one item that went to exterior fire pit but Rusty needed a special part and it was late so I called Nicky (dispatcher for Jewel) and she got Rusty back the next day to see if that was the prob. Well it wasn’t so still no gas. I called a bee keeper and he came out Tuesday and Wednesday to remove the nest which had at least 20,000 bees on it. I called Nicky back and she got Rusty back the next day. Everything got fixed and we finally had heat on Friday. So I’d recommend this company any day. I’m handicap and I believe they went over and above what we call great service! Thank you guys!

Amazing plumbing service! Russell and Christian are very skilled in their trade and quickly identified+repaired a major plumbing disaster at my house (which was the result of grossly negligent work recently performed by Roto-Rooter). Will definitely use them again for any future plumbing needs!

I want to recommend 2 excellent technicians at Jewell - Curly and Joshua Soto. My HVAC has been intermittently failing when the heat comes on. Joshua discovered that the problem was an electrical issue with the disconnect box rather than an issue with the HVAC unit itself. I was impressed, as no other technician had been able to figure out the problem for years. I scheduled a time with Jewell to have it replaced, and Curly came and did an amazing job. Curly also spent a lot of time with me afterwards showing me how the fuses fit more tightly in the new disconnect box, which will keep it from generating heat and blowing out fuses in the future. I recommend asking for Curly or Joshua Soto when you call Jewell.

Gutting our house needed HVAC return moved, floor vent moved, and down draft kitchen vent moved. Came home to a mess, nearly slipped on debris from their work. The most important item is still not done 100% even after 2nd visit. As 2nd visit was happening getting a phone call saying that they may still not have 100% done. I gave in due to I realized it would be easier for me just to do it myself then deal with them more.

Joshua did a fantastic job during our heating maintenance. He was thorough and stayed a long time to answer all of our questions. He also showed up on time, which is rare in the world of service techs! We would recommend Joshua and Jewell Mechanical any day!

Matt came out to fix our heating problem at our plant and he performed brilliantly. He diagnosed a sperate issue that was at the root of the original problem and then got it fixed for us. What a great employee.

I saw it was 24hr and called in an emergency. We had no AC with an infant in the house. The answering service said they will page the on call tech ..that was 3 pm, it is now 830pm and not even a call back. My baby boy is now crying, not able to sleep in our 90 degree house.. thanks Jewell!

Update: Day 2 and still nothing. Called One Hour Heating and Air and they were here within 4 hrs. I wouldn't be as upset if they just told me we are swamped and won't be able to get there today so we could have made other arrangments but rather they gave false hope which caused us to believe we would be ok.

I recently signed up for the seasonal maintenance program with Jewell Mechanical, and they sent out a service technician named Scott Richards to service our A/C units. Scott was very polite and professional. I could tell right off the bat that he knew what he was doing. He was very thorough and courteous as he worked. I would recommend both Scott and Jewell Mechanical for your heating and air conditioning needs.

Showed up on time and were very easy to work with deciding where things should go and explaining the how and why of the ductless system. Worked continuously until done in less than one day. Cleaned up everything before they left and the installation looks great and functions as predicted. Thanks to Stacey and Dillon for a job well done.

I called on a Sunday morning after our AC went out over night. I never expected that they would come that same day but they did! Justin called within minutes of my call to the answering service and said he would be there within a few hours. He showed up within 1 hour, and fixed our unit quickly! After sifting through several other companies' dismal reviews, I ran across a review of Jewel Mechanical which stated they were honest, trustworthy and very knowledgeable. I took my chance on them with my failed A/C unit. Their service man came out promptly and on time. Tested my unit and found the problem in a matter of minutes. Even though I was in no particular rush to have it working right away, he was able to track down the replacement part that was needed and had the system back online very quickly. The total repair cost actually came out to be less than the ball park figure he suggested it could have been.

Needed two new units, 3.5 and 3 ton, brand new ductwork upstairs and downstairs, new return duct, etc. Big job. They were very busy when excessive heat hit the city. Still, I was never given any excuses, never made to feel less than a very important client. As promised, the first crew arrived to remove everything. Neat, quiet and respectful. Then the rest came, so there were several workers and it took a few days. Through all of it my hand was tightly held by the magical Josh and his kind and sweet team. My experience is nothing short of amazement, gratitude and unending praise for their dedication, quality workmanship and excellent value for money! Within a couple days he had my specialty HVAC delivered and ready for install and he said they would be available to start the job at 7:30am the next day! The techs called ahead to let me know they were on their way and were at my place right on time and quickly got to work. The service technician Josh provided expert knowledge and skill in assessing our A/C problem and bringing the system back to normal working order. Josh was also quite responsive to many questions I asked about our A/C system. I am certain that my cost for new customer service provided, which included locating an existing slow leak and recharging refrigerant, was highly competitive. Furthermore, the repair expense can be applied toward the cost of a Jewell-installed American Standard replacement system I am now considering.

With it being 90 degrees in the hallway, I researched companies within the Nashville area that might be able to alleviate the heat. Jewell Mechanical was polite and honestly forward with how much it would take them to come out here on an emergency service, and even advised me to talk to the landlord/office first to try saving me some money that way first. While I dislike the discomfort and did not end up using their services, I very much appreciate and value their honesty as a professional service.

Had Jewell Mechanical come out after purchasing a new home that the home inspection said the evaporator coil needed to be cleaned. Once Justin got here, he did a full inspection and discovered a full removal and cleaning was not needed.

But he also did a complete check of the unit and fixed a few minor issues to allow the unit to operate at full capacity.

Upon leaving, Justin had the air cold enough to hang meat in my living room. I could not be happier.

Had a water heater leak started leading on a Saturday. Called Jewell left a message. Almost immediately got a call back from a very helpful and professional plumber. He told us what to do to slow leak to a drip, and the he would have us set up with an appointment first thing Monday morning. I was having HVAC problems and learned that I had a major leak in the coils along with a compressor that was quickly deteriorating. Jewell Mechanical was recommended to me from a co-worker. This company stands out to me from the others because they were able to send a technician out, free of charge. I was also quoted prices that were less than another company in the area. My AC stopped working on a hot day (98 degrees). After troubleshooting, I couldn't figure out what was wrong with the unit so I called Jewell. They sent their on call mechanic Tim. Tim called me within 10 minutes of me calling the office line. He gave me an ETA. He arrived promptly and was able to replace my capacitor fairly quickly. Love this company. We have had trouble a few times with our hvac unit (not put in by Jewell Mechanical) and they were quick to help fix the problems. After the first time we liked their service so well we now have them maintanice our unit. They are wonderful people I recommend them to everyone.

Brian came actually a little early after calling which was great. Brian was very knowledgeable and customer friendly. I had several questions and small issues with a complete new heat and air system that Jewel installed almost a year ago. He listened as I described each issue an then checked and resolved all issues very quickly. He was certainly not pushy but I signed up for their yearly service plan. They have been terrific from the first call throughout the installation of new system and follow up.

Brian recently came out for my yearly maintenance appointment. Called ahead as promised, was on time and completed the tune-ups efficiently and professionally. How do you explain the feeling when a company tells you that your AC repair will cost $5,000 and will take 8 days to repair (during last summers heat wave) and then Jewell Mechanical comes out and completes the job for $150 in one hour!!! I'm so grateful to Jewell for their prompt response, honesty, and excellent customer service. I even got a call back a week later from the owner to make sure everything was working smoothly. The AC worked great the rest of the summer. I've just called Jewell to come back for a yearly check-up to make sure my units are ready for this summer! Let me start by saying I used a competitor previously and was charged $$$ to simply take a Nest/Google Thermostat off the wall and reinstall the old thermostat - a job that took about 10 min cost over $200. So thankfully one of my neighbors recommended Jewell, as he has been using them via their very affordable and comprehensive Maintenance Plan service.
So I made an appt. for 2 Nest/Google Thermostats to be installed into my new home - and by new I just mean new to me, the house was built in 2015 - but we'll get to that in a minute. So Joshua Soto from Jewell showed up to do the install - super professional but very relatable as we chatted our way through his time in my home (he even accepted my very Boston way of speaking fast and with some slight profanity when the syncing of the thermostats to the Google app weren't going as planned). My 2015 home has 1 HVAC unit and 2 thermostats for dual zone capability - this is great accept Nest/Google requires a common wire for all thermostat installs that my home did not have on the HVAC unit electronic board (or whatever, I am a MD PhD not an HVAC technician/electrician) so long story short after some trial and error and phoning a colleague (who Josh said was in the HVAC business for 40+ yrs and it showed since he knew exactly what needed to be done in my case) Josh had rewired my HVAC control unit so each thermostat had all appropriate wiring and were working seamlessly without giving us vile error messages...UGH! It should be noted the other option was to simply get a Nest Power Connector as an alternative to not having a C wire but Josh didn't want to take the chance of me dealing with error messages in the future so he went the workman's route and for those of you saying yes so you could be charged more.... well I wasn't it was all part of the same install price because unlike other HVAC companies they don't jack up your price as they go :). Thanks again Josh for getting my thermostats installed and cooperating - appreciate you going above and beyond!

Took awhile to get it right. They installed a new hvac system for my house. Great job installing it. Very detail oriented.
Through no fault of Jewell Mechanical, the unit was defective and had an oil leak. The smell would then blow into the house when the ac kicked on. Took awhile to get them to finally replace the entire unit (2 months exactly). Another great installation job. New unit seems to be working well.
In the end, they got it right; it just took awhile to get there.
Technicians were very courteous, friendly, and always on time.

Great team at Jewell--Jack diagnosed and explained our problem in detail, as well as the options we had to fix or replace, without any upselling pressure. They were very fast and responsive--after we decided to get a new unit, they were out the next day. Keith, Chad, and Jim were a great crew--they were in and out of the house all day doing the installation, and we barely noticed as we worked in the home office. Highly recommend!
