Best Line Repair in Jacksonville FL

Had a broken pipe coming out of my water meter. David Gray came out and fixed it in about an hour but they were way overpriced. They charged me $483 for an hours work. $6 of that was for parts and the rest was labor for an hour. I have used David Gray for 25 years at my home and where I work and I’ve always been happy with them and was priced fair but I will never call them again. I thought the guy was joking when he told me what the price was going to be. He said no he wasn’t. The last time I used them they were about $130 an hour. I reluctantly signed it so that they could do the work only because it was Friday afternoon and I was kind of stuck with my water running down the road. That said, the guys did a great job but the company should be ashamed of itself. They lost a 25 year customer.

I cannot say enough great things about the service we received from James. We had what we thought was a possible leak in our upstairs bathroom because it sounded like a loud water dripping noise. James was able to pinpoint exactly what and where the issue was on the first try. It turned out to be a loose pipe rubbing on another pipe, and James needed to put a hole in the ceiling downstairs to secure the pipe. We were really impressed and amazed that James was able to find the exact spot where the pipe was loose by listening to the noise, and fix the loose pipe! We were extremely thankful that we didn't end up having to have a few different holes in our ceiling. Outside of being very knowledgable and skilled, James was very professional, friendly, and funny as well. If we have any issues in the future, we will definitely be asking for James. Thanks!

I scheduled an on-line appointment for the next day due to a clogged sink. I was shocked to find the cost was over $400. The repair man refused to put the snake through the roof vent and put the snake directly down the drain. I told the repairman that the snake had to go all the way to the septic tank (I have had this done at least five other times in the past 20 years). He refused to go down the vent pipe. He said the snake went in the entire 75 feet. and there was some grease at the tip of the snake. When water was introduced in the sink, it did not drain - and he insisted that an enzyme solution (for $110 which I could get at Home Depot for $20) would do the trick. The next morning, the sink was still clogged after spending over $500. I dug up the septic tank and put a pressurized hose through the drain from the septic tank and a lot of white, solid grease came out. The hose went in about 20 feet and stopped. Luckily, I called Metro Rooter before I called Roto Rooter (Metro Rooter quoted $400 to come out the next day - Friday - but $200 for Monday - I told them to come out Monday). When Roto Rooter didn't work, I kept the Metro Rooter appointment. They came out Monday, put the snake down the vent pipe and 30 minutes later, everything was cleaned out and water was flowing into the septic tank.

On a Sunday doing a DYI bathroom remodel, I cut a pipe to short, and couldn't get the valve connected securely. After hours of trying, I finally gave up (main water to the house was off, and that's not good with a family of six). At 10:30 on a Sunday night I contacted Terry Vereen plumbing, within 45 minutes the tech was out, and 30 minutes later the house water was back on. The cost was very good ($170) considering the day and the time of the call.

Gavin is great. Clean, experienced and professional..but seriously he unclogged what 2 other Companies couldn't. I heard solutions from jackhammering my tile floor removing kitchen cabinets, to building a new laundry room elsewhere on the property!!. This one Company spent several hours to tell me this. Top of the line not only figured out its just the P trap at the laundy line IN GARAGE!, but Gavin got everything flowing fine in an hour. Then we were able to get proper 2 hr repair scheduled a few days later. Thanksgiving was spent without a working kitchen sink from me making the wrong call..
