DO NOT CALL THESE PEOPLE! They charged our company credit card $6,000 without our approval. We simply gave them our credit card # to have on file. We gave them 2 work orders for a Belk store and they never gave us an invoice or any details of the work performed. They were approved to spend $1,400 and charged us almost $6k. Stay far away from this company - especially their office dispatcher Sandy.

I called to get a price quote and possibly use their service. The lady on the phone answered is very rude and nasty!! I was telling her my problem and she asked, when did this start happening. The truth?What would be the point of me lying about when the issue started. Why would that be a question to ask a potential customer. O was offended and disgusted with the lack of customer service. I will never use this company!

I called a woman there named Sandy who took my details (including my credit card number, which I was very uncomfortable giving out) and said she would call me back with a time when a plumber would come out to fix my emergency problem. Well, 40 minutes went by and she never called me back, so I called a different plumber and made an appointment, so I called her back to let her know, and she said oh, a plumber is coming out there now. What? Then why didn't she call me back and tell me?! I canceled the appointment and I told her to not put any charges on my credit card, and she hung up on me. Very lazy, rude, scammy, and unprofessional business.

Just called this company looking for a plumbing proposal for a new ground up building. The lady that took my call was very rude. do not call this company.

Do not use these company. They are thieves, they told me that coming to quote was $99 and they billed me $299 without telling me anything. In the call I authorized the charge of $99 and they charged me $299 without telling me anything. Then his quote was a technician on the phone who told me a ridiculous number for the job. They are thiefs.

I talked with SUMMER this morning to schedule a maintenance visit. She was VERY polite and knowledgeable. She quickly took all my information and explained how the appointment would be handled. SUMMER spoke very clearly and professionally with a positive attitude. What a refreshing experience!!!

They did good work for a neighbor. High prices. I drove down 11hours. Scheduled the work to be done, not diagnosed, they didn't come prepared even though I'd given the necessary information. Had to use another company. Saved myself a third of the price: $700.

I called to get an estimate for some work needed done (closet flange replacement, and some stem valves) the original call was pleasant and the delightful woman said we offer free estimates...as well as their website. We set up the appointment and everything was fine. The appointment time finally comes. The gentleman was very nice and professional and said “this is what I would recommend, and this is how much it will cost” he left that quote on the back of some torn cardboard paper and left. No problems right? Well about 5 minuets later the gentleman is back at my door, saying well I need to collect something for today’s visit, and confused I was wondering what he was taking about. He said it was for the service call and that the $75 would be applied to the visit following when they came out to do the work. So essentially, a $75 payment now and the rest of the payment when the work was completed. He basically took my credit card info and handed me a tablet to sign. After getting spun in circles for about another 5 minuets...he said something that somewhat kind of made sense and I ended up initialing the tablet to be done with it.Fast forward 3 months. I never called to get the work done because of the past experience and A-1 is calling to collect $75 dollars. They claim it was for the service fee 3 months prior. Obviously shocked because of the whole “we offer free estimates” thing...I tell the lady...”look, I called for an estimate. Why are you asking for more money?” She said “we have it marked as a service, and we have a recording of how you requested it and you didn’t say estimate” okay, so requesting a quote is different that an estimate apparently. Since she claimed they had a recording of me saying this I simply asked to hear it myself since she was so adamant about the request not being made the correct way. She refused and just sent me an email of a screenshot of the initialed tablet page from 3 months prior. She said we have your initials on this paper saying you would pay us. Annoyed I just paid the money to be rid of the situation and the company.So to recap, I paid $75 for a free estimate...the guy came recommended work that he said he couldn’t do that day even if he wanted to, got told to sign a tablet under questionable circumstances, and then got calls from them 3 months later for payment after receiving no correspondence prior at all. Sure, part of it was stupidity on my part...most was sketchy business practice. 0/10 would recommend. 2 stars for the original customer service when setting up the appointment.

First off, the ladies in the office, Marlena and Amber are amazing. Very polite, very helpful. They answer any questions you may have and just all around friendly. When the guys came out to fix our slab leak, both of them were super nice very professional yet they made you feel like you are friends. And they did a fantastic job.

I had an issue with my sink disposal and bathroom drainage and A1 was able to resolve both my issues within one day! Very efficient and reasonable rates. Friendly help over the phone and they were able to simplify a seemingly complicated project! Thank you for a great job and being so responsive! I'll be back.

I had a leak in my shower faucet and a cracked tub. The woman I spoke with on the phone was friendly and got me into their schedule quickly and kept updated. The gentleman that came to my place was knowledgeable, friendly and polite. Got the work done in a couple of hours, cleaned up after himself and my tub looked brand new with the reseal!

Their tech James came out and this is the second Ac company I have called in the last 4 days. The first told me he could find nothing wrong. James actually took the time to listen to what I was telling him. He didn't find too much issue with our ac other than the coils being disgusting. Even after he found that that was most likely our issue he still did a few more tests and found our vents were also causing an issue. He then went around the house and checked all the vents. He actually seemed as though he cares and didn't try to tell us a thousand things were wrong when they really weren't. I have a couple other companies in the past do this. Terry the lady who answered the phone was just as wonderful. She made sure I knew when we had one call ahead of us and was polite and kind on the phone. I will recommend this company to anyone who needs their plumbing, heating or air conditioning fixed.

Great company. Called due to having a ac issue. Wouldn't turn on.tech came out to the house very quickly. Found a bad capacitor in my unit. Tech replaced the capacitor in fifteen minutes. Fixing the issue.Tech also put gauge e my unit and found I was a little bit low of freon. So he added some, said it was only a couple ounces. Tech explained that the unit was probably low since it was installed years ago by a different company. tech explained the farther from my AC go furnace means you might need to add freon because the factory charge isn't big enough.Tech was very knowledgeable, and explained things so a homeowner could understand.Tech even took a look at my furnace since he was already here on a service call. Tech recommend I change my filter. And gave me some advice on how to clean the little water pump with a splash of bleach. I didn't even know that there was a water pump attached to the furnace.Tech explained it was for water created by air-conditioning.Wish I remembered techs name, but was super informative and went the extra mile when he diagnosed and fixed original issue in minutes. The spent half a hour explaining the situation and gave me some advice to maintain everything.Great company

THE 5 STARS ARE FOR A-1 PLUMBING TECHNICIAN, DAVIAN ONLY!!I am writing this review because I want to warn propective customers that this company is not transparent with their pricing and do not disclose their basic prices to customers.As a result, I was caught off guard by a $254.00 charge, after the technician arrived at my home.I purchased a new stove and called TECO People's Gas, the provider of gas to my home. People's Gas recommended A-1 Plumbing. I called A-1 and was advised of a nonrefundable $79 dispatch fee. I asked the representative what would be the average charge for basic gas stove hookup. I was told their company policy prohibited this information from being related yo customers. I should have called another company. However, I decided on A-1 Plumbing assuming it should not cost more than $50-$75 for the hookup. The A-1 technician came out, took a picture of the connection, called the company, and was told to charge would be $175.00 for the hookup. Dispath fee $75 plus Hook up fee $175 = $254.00. There was no additional equipment or parts required. I called A-1 thinking the charge was an error. Spoke with Robbie, who said he was a manager. Robbie stated the $175 charge was the standard charge. I asked why wasn't I told the charge when I asked for it during my initial call. He reiterated the company's policy of not disclosing their pricing to customers.I told Robbie I thought the Company charge was exorbitant, their pricing misleading and I would give the company a less than positive review. Shortly, after, I received a call from Amber, stating the $79 dispatch fee would be waived. One positive for the company is Davian, the tecnician. Davian called before his arrival, arrived on time, was professional, courteous, and technically proficient. He tested for leaks around gas connection, insured the stove was balanced, and both stove burners and oven were correctly lighted and worked properly.Finally, although I appreciated the dispatch fee waiver, the fact remains that A-1 Plumbing's charged of $175 for a basic gas stove hookup was exhorbitant and bord er s on price gauging, they are not transparent with their pricing, and do not disclose to the customer their basic gas stove installation pricing. Beware of this company.!!! I will not use them ever again.

As soon as we called we knew we were in good hands. Ashley was very kind and helped get a tech to us the same day. The leak behind our washing machine was fixed that afternoon. Would highly recommend them to anyone.

A-1has an excellent staff of friendly, professional mechanics. They are fast and efficient, cleanly in their work, and helpful with their customers in taking the time to inform and educate about the working of the mechanical systems. They are backed up by a courteous, customer-oriented office support staff. We recommend A-1highly.

Horrible pricing! They charged me over $1500 to install a 40 gallon gas water heater. All of their competitors were way cheaper I should have called around and got the work done somewhere else. A1 plumbing took advantage of me don't make the same mistake. I would have saved $300- $500 based on every other plumber's quotes I got which were between $975- $1175. Based on about 10 quotes from other companies.

Joe the technician was really great! He diagnosed my problem and gave me a price up front so there was no surprise at the end.I signed up for the Smiley Club for both my AC and Plumbing!A-1 really made me Smile I will surely tell all my associates about my experience with A-1!Gene

I would be very concerned if I was the owner of this company one of their company vehicles almost ran me off the road today when I was trying to merge on the 295 I had my 1 year old in the back seat. The driver was either insanely distracted or under the influence and it's only a matter of time before he causes a major wreck. Im very disappointed and will never hire them for any services based off the quality of people they employ.

The A1 tecs are always professional and offer good solutions to our gas issues. Their phone service is also great and it's always easy to get on their schedule within a reasonable amount of time. I always recommend them to friends with gas issues.

Thankful to have got in touch with A1 Plumbing to fix my water heater. They saved me hundreds of $$ and heartache. Truly a professional company with great customer service.

Bad company that doesn't care.Made things worse than it was.i wouldn't recommend this company to no one.Bad experience on Friday called to get my oven fixed,but instead made things worse.i could have cook on top range but not in the oven.after they access my oven.They cut a wire and gas was escaping.had to call gas company.Now I can't cook my New year dinner because company mess up the line.This. Company should show a little more concerned.Joe act like he didn't know what he was doing.blamed me that someone else fix my stove when I'm the only tenant that own this house.stove never was broken.very rude and disrespectful!!!! manager was rude also.

So having good service makes it okay to RIP people off? Call around and get quotes before you use these people. Most of their competitors offer decent service and HONEST pricing.

Don't even call this company. only thing they care is your money. They charge for running their snake machine 1time over $500. it's ridiculous I have been dealing with other plumbers several time before average price were below $300. They don't give price on the phone. never call them.

Bo was an excellent technician and was able to identify and fix the issue with our refrigerator quickly. Will definitely call on A-1 for any future issues.

It is shame. Not professional they did not show up even after call to confirm. They say on the way they say at the site. Still did not show up. Why lie about it. If you can’t make it please tell me so.

Had a leak under our kitchen sink behind the cabinets. It unfortunately wasn’t a simple fix for us, so our landlord sent A-1 over and they had our leak fixed and cabinets repaired that afternoon. While we didn’t have to pay for it (renting) I’d suggest them to anyone.

Had a small problem with our ac unit they came out the same day I called the tech was very knowledgeable about what needed to be done to correct the problem. Nice to know you can depend on A-1 to fix whatever needs to be done.

I have been dealing with A1 plumbing for greater than 30 years; initially in New Jersey and since 2008 here in the Jacksonville Florida area. They have never let me down.

Came out and solved all my needs in this time of uncertainty. Don't hesitate to call and have them come out. Up front pricing and great deals.

I own a commercial building and our tenet reported a toilet leaking I called A-1 and they fixed it right away. I am happy and my tenet is happy with A-1 plumbing.

Recently bought a house but was having some problems with the plumbing. Even with all the commotion in the world they provided quality work with in an amazing time frame.

Plumber was friendly, knowledgeable and very efficient. He even made my service call early, ahead of schedule, which was a plus for me.
