Our AC went down on a Sunday afternoon and Kyle came out and got us up and running again. He arrived at our house in less than the time we were told he would and was extremely professional very friendly. I don't know what we would have done without Kyle and the helpful people at SG Mechanical.

Professional, prompt, on time, stellar communication top notch above and beyond service. I've used other companies in the past and the difference is noticed. Technician Dennis was wonderful, spoke in terms that I was able to understand and not industry jargon. Overall as perfect a interaction as it gets and I have already passed on his information and the companies to a friend needing service. While I'm thankful no issues were detected if I ever needed a repair I will call and feel confident honesty would be given.

Tried a different company and got all kinds of bad news. They guy said I needed to replace one of my AC units, the handler and furnace at a cost of over $10,000. I wanted a second opinion so I called Howard Air. Troy ran diagnostics and said one of the units needed a new capacitor. He also found the unit is under warranty. Cost to me was $150. Howard Air is a very honest company. I highly recommend them.

Our AC went out on Thursday night, we called multiple places on Friday and air control was the only company willing to come in right away. George provided a great service he was fast and professional. Best price in The Valley for sure!

Fantastic, exceptional and professional service! I called around an hour ago and was greeted by a very kind and courteous customer service representative who told me a service technician would be calling within 15 min to setup a visit and the charge would be $69 whether there is anything wrong or not. The service technician Shane called me within 5 min and followed up with courteous informational calls to ensure that I knew I could utilize my home warranty to reimburse me.

Shane the service tech showed up within the hour to promptly check the usual things, the thermostat, the air filter and then he went up on the roof. He proceeded to drain the unit and clean the coils, performing the regular maintenance to the air conditioning unit. After a thorough inspection and fine tuning, he said that my air compressor shut off due to overheating. He proceeded to recheck his work and thereupon go check my split unit in the garage which has the air filter to see if there were any points that would cause it to overheat.

He replied that he has seen this before, but if it happens again to call them and he would surmise that it would be the compressor that's the culprit. I asked him what regular maintenance intervals does he recommend and he said they usually come out and check the unit in the Spring, just before the Summer, and in the Fall, just before the Winter. But for my Split System, he'd only recommend once a year due to the unit on the roof not operating at all during the Winter. Oh and it only cost me $89 for all that he did!! :D

The whole experience was a delight considering the uncomfortable prospects and I will definitely use them for regular maintenance, highly recommended them to friends, family and coworkers!

We had a lightning strike close to our upstairs refrigeration unit rendering it inoperative. Howard Air's response was reasonably prompt. They checked our unit, removed two destroyed circuit boards, installed a different temporary thermostat, and restored cooling until new circuit boards were ordered and received. Upon receipt of the new parts, they were installed, the smart thermostat was reinstalled, and there was no charge under the 10 year refrigeration warranty. Very happy with Howard Air's service.

The technician was very nice, we had him come out for a diagnostic. The gentleman told us our motor blower went out and it would $1300 for repair. When we had our family come out to replace the $300 motor. Turns out the transformer was bad and our motor was completely fine. Unfortunately we paid $120 for a false diagnosis. Glad we didn’t pay the $1300 and did more investigating ourself.

Derek is a lifesaver! What a great young man! He was prompt, courteous and honest! I can’t recommend him enough. He’s very trustworthy and didn’t try to up sell us or anything I’m used to with repairmen. If you need assistance with your hvac needs do not hesitate to give him your business.

UPDATE: They refunded me.

The service tech didn't check heat pump refrigerant levels or the capacitor but immediately said the compressor needed replacing. It did not; only the capacitor needed replacing.
They ordered a new compressor, but it hadn't arrived for weeks, so I told them I no longer needed it and asked for a refund. They said they'd review my case, but for weeks they didn't get back to me.
Service tech even joked about charging almost $200 to replace a fuse on a Saturday!

Jose installed a pressure regulating valve quickly, professionally and in the time frame alloted. Great job!

Troy and his staff did an excellent job maintaining our old AC units. And when it was no longer feasible to keep them, they gave us a great price to replace them. The new units are quieter and much more efficient. Thanks for the awesome service, Troy!
