Working with Doan Restoration is fairly easy because their communication is excellent. Their technicians showed up on time to most appointments and did not cancel any appointments while I worked with them. Their overall quality and cleanliness is good but has some room for improvement. Overall customer service is good too. The technicians who went to my house worked fast and finished the work within a reasonable amount of time.

Respect for property and privacy received a 2 out 5 due to a few issues. Firstly, the technicians who worked at my house did not ask for permission to enter rooms and open closets. They behaved as if they owned my house and even locked one of my doors while working; this was a concern.

They did not ask for permission to move any of my furniture either. One of the technicians could not figure out that my desk, which held sensitive computer equipment, was anchored to the wall. He decided to brute-force his way through and yanked the desk from the wall, anchors and all. This could have been avoided if I was consulted first. I requested that a portion of the compromised drywall be removed to address the issue.

The first cut of drywall ended up being too small. After a brief explanation in structural mechanics to the technician, a second portion of drywall was cut to properly address the issue. The star rating in this review was rounded up to 4 to reflect the fact that Doan made things right after the mistake.

My recommendation to Doan is to retrain technicians to ask for owner's permission before moving furniture, opening closets, walking freely throughout the house, or entering rooms. Good communication with the customer is essential to build trust.

Update 06/28/2020
Today I received a Pre-Lien letter from Doan's lien processing company in the mail. Basically, Doan is threatening to take legal action against me if they do not receive payment for their services. I find it odd, and distasteful, that Doan would send this to me since they have my claim number and will be paid directly by my insurance company. Additionally, this is the second time I contracted Doan for water mitigation. They already have a positive history with me as a customer and they know that both myself and my insurance carrier work very fast. They were paid in full the first time and they will be paid in full a second time as well. However, this will also be the last time I work with Doan going forward. I've decided to remove half a star from the overall rating due to this letter and I can no longer recommend this company to anyone. I highly suggest looking for a better alternative.

If you're searching for a mold inspector, I would definitely recommend this business because they were very accommodating and reliable.

We received immediate response and prompt courteous service. Although the process was difficult at times, since we were still living in the house, the work done was thorough, and completely satisfied our expectations. We decided to replace our flooring and insulate the wall that was affected by the water damage for additional privacy between our guest room and the family room, and are now enjoying our new house.

Thanks for the work you have done, the studio is back alive because of you. I would definitely choose him next time.

Cesar and his crew did an excellent job painting the exterior of our home. We have received multiple compliments and have been asked by several of our neighbors for his name and contact information. He and his team have also done retexturing, painting and plumbing jobs for us as well. They do great work.

Came in and eased my mind , crystal informed me of what was going to be happening answered all question I threw at them with professionalism and knowledge, crystal and her coworker cece were fantastic , helped elevate the stress of my unfortunate problem , definitely will use their services again .When I called to ask some questions the receptionist Nina was friendly and helpful directing me to Gloria who was very nice and knowledgeable , will use their devices again .

Robert and his team are the best in The Valley when we talk about water damage! I had a toilet flood that took my peace away. But with Robert and his team helped I overcame this challenge! My insurance company actually hired them in response to some storm damage we had on our roof. I was really worried about mold in my daughter's bedroom but they showed up super fast, set my mind at ease, and got everything done right away. Then, they cleaned up after themselves! They also communicated every step of the way so I never had to guess what was going on. The technician was super professional and we actually enjoyed visiting with him while he set up his equipment and packed up when he was done. We actually live pretty far out of town, but he never made us feel like an inconvenience even though he had to drive over an hour one way just to get to my house. I would definitely call on them again whether it was an emergency or not!

There were very quick to respond to our initial call and were there that afternoon to look at our home. Service was started the next day and they were great at communicating when they would be there for service. They cleaned everything up when they were finished. It is a very stressful situation when you have a loss but they made it less stressful. I would highly recommend Service Masters.

BOR was recommended by our insurance. The initial consultation and water mitigation repair started out to be expected. Camron was responses became sporadic. The work and subsequent completion of the job was left incomplete. Part of my kitchen that needed to be salvaged was left in my backyard ( stove and microwave). The cabinet repair was also left incomplete. I’ve reached out numerous time with no response. B

We had three technicians on our water damage problem. We found Marquez, Felipe and Mario to be easy to work with, competent and were very good communicating with us every step along the way.
