Working with Doan Restoration is fairly easy because their communication is excellent. Their technicians showed up on time to most appointments and did not cancel any appointments while I worked with them. Their overall quality and cleanliness is good but has some room for improvement. Overall customer service is good too. The technicians who went to my house worked fast and finished the work within a reasonable amount of time.

Respect for property and privacy received a 2 out 5 due to a few issues. Firstly, the technicians who worked at my house did not ask for permission to enter rooms and open closets. They behaved as if they owned my house and even locked one of my doors while working; this was a concern.

They did not ask for permission to move any of my furniture either. One of the technicians could not figure out that my desk, which held sensitive computer equipment, was anchored to the wall. He decided to brute-force his way through and yanked the desk from the wall, anchors and all. This could have been avoided if I was consulted first. I requested that a portion of the compromised drywall be removed to address the issue.

The first cut of drywall ended up being too small. After a brief explanation in structural mechanics to the technician, a second portion of drywall was cut to properly address the issue. The star rating in this review was rounded up to 4 to reflect the fact that Doan made things right after the mistake.

My recommendation to Doan is to retrain technicians to ask for owner's permission before moving furniture, opening closets, walking freely throughout the house, or entering rooms. Good communication with the customer is essential to build trust.

Update 06/28/2020
Today I received a Pre-Lien letter from Doan's lien processing company in the mail. Basically, Doan is threatening to take legal action against me if they do not receive payment for their services. I find it odd, and distasteful, that Doan would send this to me since they have my claim number and will be paid directly by my insurance company. Additionally, this is the second time I contracted Doan for water mitigation. They already have a positive history with me as a customer and they know that both myself and my insurance carrier work very fast. They were paid in full the first time and they will be paid in full a second time as well. However, this will also be the last time I work with Doan going forward. I've decided to remove half a star from the overall rating due to this letter and I can no longer recommend this company to anyone. I highly suggest looking for a better alternative.

I called Water Damage Repair Cleanup Phoenix after a kitchen pipe busted and flooded 80% of my home. They were at my house in less than an hour with a three-man cleanup crew. They walked me through the whole process and completed the cleanup and demo extremely fast. I couldn't have asked for a better service under some trying circumstances.

We came home from a long weekend out of town to find that the water heater had leaked into the bedrooms, laundry room and hallway that backed the garage. We quickly called our insurance company to report the issue and they gave us a few companies to call for the water damage. SERVPRO was not on their list, but we had used them in the past and had great results. So we called SERVPRO and quickly got a call back from them. They came out right away to access the damage and start the recovery. Paul and Dustin were great and always kept us in the loop with the progression of the removal of baseboards/wallboard, drying of the walls, etc. Everyone was polite and worked cleanly. The staff at the office was very helpful, polite and really seemed to care. They truly made a not so good situation less stressful for us. We appreciate everything they did.

I had nothing but problems from this company; dealing with them was a 6 week nightmare. Let me paint you a picture really quick. About 14 months before my interactions with this company I spent close to 40k remodeling my kitchen. Fast forward those 14 months and I discovered I had a leak in my (brand new) kitchen. My insurance company sent ServiceMaster by Desert Dry to pull out my cabinets and walls and quarantine the area.
When I got home and realized they put my brand new, very expensive, clearly custom built WHITE cabinets outside on my back porch with ZERO protection. This in Arizona, in monsoon season, in an unfinished back yard (think dirt people, lots of dirt) and they put WHITE cabinets outside.
This has the effect of staining my white cabinets with brown. Then I notice that on 3 of the reusable cabinet doors and the faux face plate that goes underneath the sink, had gauges in them. These are not small gauges that are just a ding here or there, no they're extremely large and noticeable. And if that isn't the worst part, I notice that there is also a portion of my (again, custom built) bench seating that spans the opposite wall of the kitchen, right next to my back door. Clearly they were careless and drop something on it to damage it.
As its late Friday afternoon by the time I get home, I wait until Monday to call to discuss the damage that was done to my cabinets and bench. I speak to Hector initially who wants to see the damage, to which I agree. Then on Wednesday Hector calls and says they'll be there in 45 minutes to remove the quarantine and take pictures of the damage. I told him that he was more than welcome but without me being there I didn't know if he would see all the damage. He said ok, just send me photos later and he left a card which had his number as well as a generic office email. I called Hector twice that week and left messages and never heard back, so on Sept 5 at 2:05 pm, I emailed photos of the damage to the info@ email address. At 2:11 pm, Chelsea responded that she was forwarding it on to Chris, Hector, Ashley, and Sandi (the mitigation side she said). On Sept 10 after no response, I again ask for an update with everyone cc'd. Chelsea again responds that she forwarded my email. On Sept 17 after no response I again send another email, this time with a quote I received from my cabinet maker for the damage. Chelsea responds immediately and tells me that they want to send someone to look at my cabinets. I tell her he can come Wed or Thur afternoon but I am 100% certain my cabinet maker will have to handle it because it is a completely custom job.
The guy she sends shows up on Sept 25th, spends less than 5 minutes in my house and agrees that my cabinet maker will have to handle this. On Sept 26th, I send yet another email asking if we can now proceed with my guy fixing the issue because her guy cannot. Again, no response. On Sept 27th I receive an updated invoice so I forwarded that on. Again, no response. On October 1st I call my insurance adjuster(who sent this company to me) and ask for help. He proceeds to immediately email everyone that I have been emailing with and within a short time I get a phone call from one of the owners. He is upset at the cost to repair everything and is borderline rude and accusatory. He requests more pictures and information about the cost which I provide and even put him in contact directly with my cabinet maker. After another day or two of going back and forth, I get my husband involved. In the end, the did pay for the damage they caused, but the headache of having to deal with them makes me seriously mistrust them and I would NEVER recommend them to anyone.
Unfortunately I had to shorten some of the details because Google character limit but lets just say dealing with them was a nightmare.

While I was out of town I got a call form my landscaper who told me there was water coming out of my front door. I Had a great experience dealing with this company. They were very professional over the phone and had someone at my property within the hour. Everyone in the company I spoke with answered all my questions and took care of the mess. My insurance company was very pleased with the work these guys did. Definitely a company of excellence and I recommend it.

After a fire sprinkler pipe broke in my garage, Cesar B was assigned to hang the new drywall, paint, and put up the new light. I could not be more pleased with his attention to detail and how kind he was through the whole process. Cesar goes above and beyond! I hope AZ Fire knows how lucky they are to have him as an employee.

Rocky Mountain responded quickly (within 1 hour at midnight on a Saturday) to assess water damage caused from hot water tank leaking. They quickly removed wet drywall and set-up fans, dehumidifiers, and a hot air blower to dry the affected area. 4 days later, the impacted area (wall, tile grout, etc.) was dry again, eliminating the ability for mold to grow. Overall satisfactory service. Highly recommend!

I am so happy I called 1-800 Water Damage. From the very first phone call, I could tell they were an amazing company. Not only did they make it to my home in less than an hour after I called them, but they answered all of my questions and helped me understand the entire process with my insurance company. Calling them was the best decision that I made. They handled all of the flooding in my home in LESS than 72 hours. And that's say A LOT since I accidentally flooded two bathrooms, a hallway,my master bedroom, a closet, and a connecting wall! At first I felt totally embarrassed because I had left the bathtub running for well...a very long time - but they were so professional and I instantly felt like I was in good hands. Thank you Alicia, Nolan and Tom for all of your help! I've got your number save in my phone should I ever need you again! You guys are the BEST!

With being a new homeowner I can honestly say I will call Phoenix water damage services if I have any further water damage. Robert who is the owner of the company was extremely professional, extremely respectful, did not steer me wrong and extremely reliable. I really can’t thank him enough for the job he did. This company will definitely be recommended and a company I will use in my future if I have any further damage.

One side of our patio door was shattered by a rock while landscaping was being done. There was a large hole and glass everywhere. Our insurance company gave us the phone number for Jenkins Restoration. Our call was answered immediately and a young man, Adam, arrived at our home within a couple of hours. He cleaned up the glass and securely boarded up the door. We were pleased with the job he did for us.

The Servicemaster team was very professional and polite they called me every morning to let me know how far they were out and when they would be there they answered all questions and asked me if I had any questions why it fell out but you make me happy I would use in the future thank you

I called a few companies and Next Gen was the only one that returned my call and came out to the house to inspect the roof leak. It was a bad month for storms because I had to call them out a few more times. They came out quickly and did what was needed to prevent more damage. They were professional and made sure everything was clean when they left. Thank you again for all your hard work. Would definitely use them again if needed and highly recommend them.

For your own sake, DO NOT use this company!!! Our insurance contracted with them for water/mold restoration in August of 2021. I still, over a year later, do not have a fully restored kitchen as they left one day and never returned. Ten months go by and we hear nothing from them. Suddenly we get a call and invoice from them, claiming that I signed a form that the work was completed to my satisfaction in 11/2021. How can that be when I still had workers at my house in Feb of 2022 and I still have work to this day that was not completed? Frustrating when all you want is to have your house put back to right after a burst pipe and you get nothing but headache upon headache.
EDIT: So after our initial review Belfor did reach out. We gave them a chance to correct the mistake and they did come back and complete the job to our satisfaction. I have to say that it makes a big difference who you deal with. The worker RJ that came out this time did a great job, was friendly, and professional. For the duration of the new work that was done, this time around, Belfor kept us updated and let us know what was going on every step of the way. If only we had this experience the first time around.
