RE Update: Slate plumbing returned today to fix the issue. After looking at the toilet, I was told it would cost $380 to repair, which was unacceptable. I asked to speak to management to resolve the issue, and after some debate, Abel (mgmt) agreed to repair it at no cost, if I would change my review from 1 to 5 stars. While I'm happy with the end result, communication/customer service on the management side needs improvement. With that said, the toilet was repaired and seems to be working well again, so I have updated my review as promised.Update: I never received an email, but I'll take you at your word that you will contact me Monday to make this right.Slate Plumbing broke what they were here to repair. I called to get them back to fix the issue, but an answering service answers all calls, and a manager would never contact me. I can't recommend Slate plumbing.

I will be the first to say how skeptical I am of plumbers, but Ben was very knowledgeable and most of all HONEST. He recently repaired a slab leak under our house. He was able to show me where the problems were and gave us different options for repair. other plumbers that we've had in the past were not as thorough or professional. I would definitely recommend Ben from Mr. rooter plumbing!!!

Will, Alex and crew replaced evaporator coils, cleaned a blower fan/motor and addressed various other plumbing and gas issues and got us up and running and cooling down again quickly. Very professional crew, they take their time to do things right and will explain everything clearly that is needed. TL;DR Joe kept 3400 dollars for a job he never did. Said he'd pay me back, sans the hours he put in trying to diagnose my problem/messing with my pipes, and now seems to be ghosting me.Had a flood in a bathroom from the base of the toilet. Joe looked at it, figured we had a slab leak. Asked for a 3400 dollar down payment to deal with it by tunneling under the house. We saw his reviews and trusted him, and paid him.He kept showing up hours later than he said he'd be, and a flushed toilet caused another flood, leading us to doubt his diagnosis. He was gonna deal with the clog, but he still believed their was a slab leak.He said he'd come deal with it at 7. My girlfriend got up early to let him in; he showed up at 9 but had to leave almost right away because he didn't have the right equipment or he needed to drive his girlfriend to work.Last straw for us. We told him we were just gonna hire a big corporate plumber to get it over with fast. He was polite, said he'd pay us back the down payment.We called in another plumber, they showed up, used a camera snake to find the clog, demolished it, and were gone within one hour. 600 bucks. They said they found no sign of a slab leak.Joe suddenly got real hard to get ahold of. He hasn't replied to a text or call in... 4 or 5 days now? Been over a week since we let him go.Last time we talked, and I told him I was freaked about the chance of him walking with my money, he said I'm not that guy.I honestly don't get it. I'm starting to wonder if he ever honestly believed there was a slab leak, or if he just thought we looked like a couple gullible idiots. I guess he was right, if so.

Called Texas slab leak repair and they gave me a free quote over the phone. I got a few mor . Ut decided to go with these guys cause they had the longest warranty. They found the leak exactly where they said it was. Did the job the same day. Great guys and very respectful thanks Hug .

Quick and responsive. Dispatch was not the best at communicating the actual problem to the plumber, but the guy they sent was great and got the problem figured out + fixed sameday.
