Couldn’t be more appreciative for Will (Plumber) and his assistant Alex! We had a pipe break on Christmas Eve Eve and a house full of people who weren’t keen on riding out the holiday without running water. They came within a few hours and fixed the problem quickly, efficiently, and for a fair price. A Christmas miracle! They were also extremely professional and courteous, just lovely to work with. We will 100% call them for all of our future needs!

As always, great service! Will and another associate (sorry I forgot his name!) came out to fix a busted pipe from the holiday freeze and they were super efficient and fast. Goes to show why I've been with Barbosa for so many years. Thanks guys!

We had a new disposal installed as well as new sink and faucet, which we had already purchased. It was a drop in sink that just needed to be hooked up and silicone around the edges. My mom owns this property and we rent from her, so they spoke with her about the charges. They charged her $2800 for work which was a basic job that 2 other companies had told us would be around $500. They charged 11 hours of labor for a 1.5 hour job. We used Barbosa because they go to my mom's church so she trusted them. They clearly ripped her off. My ring camera shows when they arrived, the 2 hours they spent outside and the hour inside working (not 11 hours of labor charges). Also, my new disposal backs up into my dishwasher, so for almost $3k we still don't have the new disposal installed properly. The company refused to resolve with me or even explain the excessively high charges, saying they'd speak to my elderly mom whom they've already taken advantage of ????? AVOID

Love Barbosa! Would recommend them without hesitation especially after my experience with a large HVAC company that couldn’t fix my AC issue after 6 hours of “trying”. Barbosa came in and had it up and running in less than an hour!

Andy located a Technician, Will, to see me immediately today. Will arrived promptly and professionally explained the problem and the repair needed. After two trips by a previous plumber, Will solved the problem immediately. Will is a true pro, and Barbosa seems to be the best in Dallas. I'm now a customer for life.

What Barbosa does well: The customer service is great, and the service tech was kind and efficient in diagnosing my problem. That being said, their prices are exorbitantly high. I was quoted nearly $2,000 to fix my A/C unit, including a $469 capacitor, and $488 for a chemical cleaning of my condenser. After getting other quotes, I was able to get a new capacitor for $205 and had the condenser cleaned for free. I feel like the tech is paid on commission, and I did not feel like the high price were fair at all to me as the consumer. I will not use their service again.

I found out about Barbosa Plumbing from the previous homeowners of the house we bought. Terry came to fix a non-emergency problem with our toilet flange. Service was extremely quick and company responsive, I reached out Tuesday, scheduled Terry to came to give a quote on Wednesday, and service done one Thursday. Will definitely use again!

Very knowledgeable, fast working staff. Called at 1pm on Friday afternoon for a leaky copper pipe on interior AC unit. Worker showed up at 3:30pm and had the issue fixed by 5pm.

When our AC system died, Will and Alex were on the job to get us cool. While we waited two days for the replacement units to get in, Will and Alex brought in chillers to keep us comfortable until the install was complete. I appreciated their professionalism and quick response. They were both polite and informative and kept me apprised of the progress all through the project. They were also very conscience of our animals in the house and made sure they did not escape. Thank you guys!

Will, Alex and crew replaced evaporator coils, cleaned a blower fan/motor and addressed various other plumbing and gas issues and got us up and running and cooling down again quickly. Very professional crew, they take their time to do things right and will explain everything clearly that is needed. Would highly recommend, and we will be having them back out to service several other units going forward. Thank you again guys!

Terry came promptly and got to work. He encountered some unexpected difficulties due to corrosion and a bad screw; but he solved it without a sweat.
After he was done made sure everything was clean, dry and in perfect working order.

I bought my house about a year ago and needed someone to come out and replace filters and see if the systems needed cleaning. Madison spent quite a bit of time inspecting the system and gave me an estimate to clean and add gas sediment traps. He also recommended new ductwork. The cleaning and traps will be a few thousand dollars so I will probably get another estimate as well.

The good: I called in the morning to have a gas port installed with a quick connect fitting. They arrived the same day and performed the work in a professional manner. The bad: they charged $800 for the work. I provided the quick disconnect fitting and union. They provided a few small pieces of pipe and a couple of fittings. No more than $75 worth of parts. They were on site for about 90 mins. They did quote the price in an advance. When I asked what was the labor rate, he said it is quoted by the job. If you deduct the parts, the labor rate was about $500 per hour for a plumber and his helper.. I was in a hurry to get the job done, so I agreed to he price, but I cannot recommend them. I felt abused by the outrageous price.

HIGHLY Recommend - Will and Alex are top notch techs!We first used Barbosa in May 2022 when our AC needed cleaning/servicing. We signed up for Barbosa's monthly plan at that time thinking we would have them back in the late Fall...Come August 2022 our compressor died. They informed us it was best to replace the compressor, furnace, and air handler all together. The alternative was to try to replace the condenser, but being our system was 12 years old it was likely only a matter of time. They recommended we replace with a Carrier despite its higher costs for Carrier's quality, warranty, and ease of obtaining replacement parts if needed in the future.Will and Alex were our techs for both visits. I believe they went ABOVE AND BEYOND to do everything they could to make our experience as painless as possible.The AC died on a Tuesday, they were able to come out on Wednesday 8 am to inspect. When it was determined a replacement was needed he identified in-stock equipment across DFW. We were scheduled for the install Friday at 8 am. They brought in portable AC units in the meantime to make the home much more comfortable in the meantime.My wife had a party on that Saturday so all her anxiety was alleviated because of Will and Alex. Likely we will be a customer for life.

AC system is not cooling like it should. Madison performed the annual maintenance and did some troubleshooting. He identified the most likely cause, walked me through several options, and explained everything so I understood what he was saying. Barbosa was recommended to me by a friend and I am so thankful! Will have them back out to do duct cleaning. Very professional.

This allowed me to prioritize the the work to be done, based upon my budget. Both Will and Alex were extremely professional and courteous throughout.

Terry showed up to my house in less than 30 minutes after my call and located the leak that was costing me hundreds of dollars in my water bill. He located and fixed a leaky ball joint in a semi concealed outdoor faucet coming from under the ground and not the wall of the house. He was extremely patient and courteous throughout the visit and only charged me the $85 service charge.

Barbosa Plumbing & A/C has serviced our a/c (also purchased from them) for years. We have also had plumbing repairs from time to time. We have complete confidence in them. The service man is always punctual, polite, shows great attention to detail and explains what he has done and answers questions thoroughly. He is also very careful of your home while working. I have used Barbosa Plumbing several times and they are ALWAYS A JOY! They are so accomodating in timely manner plus their technicians are so kind and helpful. Beware of the ‘grey areas’ on your maintenance protection plan. Things like the basic hose cleaning of your outdoor unit is not covered (like with other company’s maintenance plans). Then when your unit breaks down, they come out and conveniently have the hose, clean the unit, and charge you at their emergency service rate. Estimate price for products/parts is much higher than other companies as well. Professional and knowledgeable technicians but poor service for high prices.

I'm a repeat customer of Barbosa Plumbing which means I'm a satisfied customer. Their techs are punctual and thorough. Today William H. came for seasonal maintenance and shared his advice for future maintenance without putting me under any pressure. I would definitely recommend Barbosa -- and William H. is a great tech.

They came to replace a shower head and faucet, realized that replacing the faucet would require a much more extensive effort, let me know about the options, and accommodated my decision to keep the repair simple and cheaper at that time.We've used Barbosa multiple times for plumbing work and will use them again.

Barbosa went above and beyond to make sure we were okay after we had a gas leak at our house. Their technician, Will, came out within an hour and a half of us calling and was quick and efficient in finding and fixing the leak. He was very helpful in explaining how it occurred and what steps he took to fix the issue. He also helped arrange for the city inspector to come out the next day and even came back when the inspector was on site to make sure everything was squared away. They also sent another tech out again later in the day once service was reinstated to make sure our furnace and hot water heater were working correctly. Will and Barbosa made what felt like a nightmare situation painless without costing an arm and a leg and we highly recommend them for any of your plumbing or gas needs.

We needed to have the gas stub in our fireplace replaced in order to install new gas logs. Will, the technician arrived and looked at the situation we had and tried to remove the partial pipe that was damaged. The damage to the stub was unrepairable due to age and Will was very knowledgeable about what could be done to correct the situation. He advised me of my options and what the consequences might be to repair the pipe. I gave him the ok and he was able to replace the damaged pipe and made sure the new one was sealed correctly and safely so as not to have a gas leak in the line or the gas logs once installed. Will was very professional and polite and knowledgeable and I will request him again when I need more plumbing work done.

Mr. Matt Barbosa impressed me from the moment he called me back for my emergency call to the moment he effectively completed the job. The best part was that he found other issues with my system and gave me affordable options to bring my system up to a good state of repair. I contacted Barbosa Plumbing and Air Conditioning because I knew they were local, and I appreciated how they were on-site at the 2017 Carrollton 5K as a sponsor of that great event. I was very glad I gave them a chance when my A/C condensation line got backed up and started leaking water into my garage because Mr. Matt Barbosa also found an electrical short on my condenser unit that posed a safety issue. I have a small child at my residence, so he fixed this for us at a very appropriate and affordable additional cost potentially saving me or my family from getting a shock or even preventing a fire! He showed me the condition the wire was in, and he explained the proposed repair. He also took the time to check the other components on my condenser and noted that my capacitor was getting close to be out of variance. He advised it could probably make it through the summer. He didn't push the repair, but because of his approach, I opted to go ahead and have him change this out while he was at it. To summarize, Mr. Matt Barbosa took a lot of time with me to explain what he was doing and why. I could tell he has the heart of a teacher and a servant's approach as he wasn't trying to push a whole bunch of unnecessary repairs on me or anything. Bottom-line, this is the type of service tech you hope you get when you randomly pick someone from the area. Needless to say, for any and all of my plumbing and A/C needs, they have got a customer for life!

We had a clog in our tub drain that was very resistant to all our efforts. Terry came out from Barbosa Plumbing and took care of it in no time at all. He was awesome! Very courteous and professional. The team was great all around at coordinating a good time that worked for our son's nap schedule. We would highly recommend Terry and Barbosa!

I had a gas leak and anticipated the headache once the news was shared. I was referred to Barbosa Plumbing and Air Conditioning and it is one of the best referrals ever. They came in, diagnosed the problem, gave me an honest estimate, and completed the work in no time. I am more than satisfied with the professionalism and knowledge shown by my serviceman. I think his name was Terry; I could be wrong but I'm sure all of their employees have this level of know how and professionalism. Would definitely recommend them!!!

It’s been an excellent experience working with Will. He is knowledgeable and easy to communicate with about what the problems are and they will be fixed. The plumbing issues started with sewer water leaking from the bottom of the toilet. At the time Will let me know that roots were in the sewer line. After a very short time those roots really made their presence known. The toilets would clog and unclog for a while and the water would rise in the shower. Will gave me a quote and it was decided to start replacing the sewer line. Will explained everything so well. The digging took a few days as expected. Then, the replacement of the sewer line happened all in one day! I was so happy they worked so fast. Pictures were taken to show where the numerous problems were. Drew Barbosa came out to the site, Will, Travis, Julio and Terry - all were friendly to me and my children and professional. It was so nice to have plumbing again! Then, the dirt was put back quickly. The grass was cut out at the beginning and then replaced. A picture was taken by the excavation crew beforehand to replace the landscape rocks where they had originally been. I definitely recommend Barbosa Plumbing and Air Conditioning.

Barbosa was fantastic. I was simply switching out thermostats with a newer model but needed to make some wiring changes so I didn't want to take on the job myself. The technician (Jackie) arrived right on time, wore work shoes in the house and was able to solve the issue quickly. He was very friendly and was very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend Barbosa!

Will is a wonderful service technician. We had multiple plumbing issues and he explained in detail what needed to be done. He even provided us with photos of specific problems because my husband and I are senior citizens and not able to bend over to view the leaking or corroded pipes. Terry joined Will later in the afternoon for additional repairs that were needed. We have great respect for Terry's abilities since he had installed and serviced our air conditioning unit a few years ago. We are very pleased with the services both technicians provided today. We always call Barbosa for all our plumbing and air conditioning service needs.

Terry F and Colby were fantastic, very professional, cleaned up after the work, very polite.As I've said before Pricing is OUTRAGEOUS, flat fee makes no sense for the consumer. Time and materials is preferred. If they were not so good at what they do and responsive, I would find a cheaper plumber.

They did very excellent job. I have had several plumbers past couple years and each time I called different people since I was not satisfy with them. However, I found Barbosa and this one is the one that I can trust and rely on them. Very polite, on time, quick, clean, with reasonable price. I’ve always been pleased with the service I receive from Barbosa, and my recent experience was no different. Travis was my technician, and he could not have been more professional and knowledgeable - from diagnosing the problem with my AC unit, making the necessary repairs so that my house was back to cooling again quickly, to patiently answering all the questions I had about my AC unit, thermostat, air filters, heater, and anything else I could think of. It’s the great customer service and wonderful technicians like Travis that keep Barbosa tops on my list.

Barbosa did an excellent job of repairing our tankless water heater that had been damaged during the deep freeze in February 2021. They worked with us to allow us to locate the damaged part and coordinate with them to replace it. They were very backlogged due to the volume of problems affecting everyone in Texas, but they were very responsive and helped us restore our hot water after being out for several days. Thank you!

We were having an ongoing issue with our thermostats dying every time we switched from ac to heat. The original installers kept coming out but every year the same problem kept happening until we called Barbosa Plumbing. It's been 2 Years since Barbosa came out and no problems. They also helped with our rent house. Highly recommend them!

My entire experience was great start to finish. Andy was helpful with scheduling and calling me when they were on their way. Jackie is an experienced veteran who explained everything and even saved me a possible breakdown. He found a capacitor that was going to fail any day and was able to replace it on the spot and had my unit running at 100% efficiency.

Terry came out to our home on time. He thoroughly assessed the situation on why we had water on our laundry room floor. He concluded that it was not a slab leak. We are grateful! His expertise saved us a lot of money and heartache. We know now to look to getting our clothes washer fixed.

Over the years, we have had excellent overall service and attention from Barbosa. They are professional, great at customer care and are very good at what they do. About 3 years ago, we had a whole new Infinity unit put in. This unit has been everything they said it would be. Our AC bill dropped by about 30%! Here in Texas, that is a big deal. Also, it cools more evenly and more comfortably throughout the house than our old system. My husband and I want to especially say a big thanks to both Luke and Andy!

The plumber sent to my house was named Will, and he was extremely knowledgable and helpful! My home was recently flipped and sold to me, and not only did he identify and fix multiple leaks that were causing issues, he also smelled and identified multiple gas leaks going into my water heater. He helped prevent near-term water damage and also potential explosion due to these gas leaks. I'll definitely use them again and ask for Will!

Our air conditioner stopped blowing cool air around midnight on Friday night. I called Barbosa Plumbing & AC Saturday morning at 8. Jackie called me back to confirm a time to check the AC and was here within 40 minutes. He was professional and explained the repair that needed to be made and was finished in less than an hour. Great company! I say this because our pipe burst during the freeze and we were unable to get a plumber due to the high demand. Although this company were extremely busy, they told me they were prioritizing customers with no running water and would be with us as soon as they could. They stuck to their word (other companies still haven’t called me back after I left messages) and sent Jonathan to come out and fix our burst pipe. Was happy with their service.

we talked to Andy at 8:30 in the morning at 10:00 Will showed up he is a nice, good natured and professional young man. our Ac was running in 10 minutes. Will also gave us some good advise regarding our AC system. Overall we are very happy with the service

I called them up so that they could perform an AC tune-up and check out my system. Matt came out and was friendly and efficient. After performing the tune-up he answered all of my questions and suggested services based on my needs. Matt informed me that the additional services would be upgrades since my current system was running fine. If I decide to make those upgrades in the future, I will definitely go with Barbosa.

Today is the second time in a year we've used Barbosa Plumbing & Air Conditioning, and I remain as pleased and impressed with the professionalism, service, speed, and price of everyone that I deal with in this company.I called Andy this morning because my AC stopped working during the night, and by 8 in the morning it was 86 degrees inside. Even with the short notice, Andy had Mathew over to my place the same day, and he was able to make repairs and have the house cooling in no time.I am completely satisfied with both service calls that I've had to make with this company, and we will be using them for all of our HVAC needs as long as they are in business, as well as recommending them to anyone that needs the services of an HVAC technician.

JP and the Barbosa crew were fabulous. From the first phone call they were responsive and easy to work with. JP took the lead and worked with my tenants to make things as easy as possible. I needed a new HVAC installation and removal of an old HVAC unit including all new duct work. The installation team was detailed and went above and beyond to make sure the work was done correctly and incorporated their work into anything existing in the house. It was all done in one day, they showed up on time and finished on time. When it was done the place looked like no one was ever there, the clean up was spotless. Highly recommended. Lost AC last week in 100 degree heat. Called for service and repairman arrived within 3 hours. Got unit working shortly thereafter.Unit is 14 years old so discussed replacement options with Luke. Presented with five options before deciding on one. Installation of new unit was completed in one day. Friendly crew and they took care to protect carpet and walls in areas they were working in. Will definitely use again in the future as plumbing, heating and air events occur. We have owned our home for 30 years and I have used many different vendors over the years. This was the best experience and I highly recommend to anyone having AC problems.

Always have a great experience with Barbosa. We have had them do plumbing as well as a/c and heater work for us several times over the past few years and it is always professional service. We had some hiccups with a plumbing job last year on a shower and they came back without issue until we were 100% satisfied.

We had one of our A/C systems go out during one of our trainings, mid day. Called various places and Barbosa was the most professional !! From answering our call to getting a tech out 1-2 hours later same day !! Jonathan was super professional and got our A/C running. Terry was awesome. He was on time and prepared. I had three projects for him. He first checked out all three to make sure he knew what he would need and he gave me an estimate. He completed the work and tidied everything up. He was friendly and made sure to explain everything that he was doing and when he needed an unexpected part, he promptly went and got it and came back to finish the work. I recommend Barbosa & Terry without hesitation.

This was a very frustrating experience. I had a simple gas leak at one of the connections in the crawl space of my attic. Based on what I thought were good reviews I decided to call Barbosa. They came out and I showed them exactly what the issue. The service tech called the office to get a quote and after the call I was handed a business card with a $1950 scratched on it. I asked the tech if he could break down the cost and he informed me that he does have that information and I needed to call the office. I then called the office to talk to the service manager and asked for a breakdown which would qualify such a high cost. He said the cost is the cost. I asked how it could be so much for a simple replacement of a connection, however; he continued to refuse to answer any of my questions. I hung up and then I was then told by the service tech we don't give breakdowns, not even for insurance companies. It makes me wonder one of two things: 1. they are taking advantage of homeowners in distress or 2. there is not true basis for their pricing. Either way this company is not someone that I want working on my home. After that I asked them to leave and I paid the $85 service charge. I called another plumber who came out the next day and gave me a quote, that was broken out, for under $600. Basically, the only service Barbosa provided was a quote which seemed to be pulled out of thin air lacking any basis, for work that I diagnosed and walked the tech through and an extremely frustrating conversation with the service manager. All for the low price of $85.

We've used Barbosa at our house for years and when it was time to book our maintenance for our A/Cs at the school, I knew exactly where to call. Special shout out to J. Shue, who is my actual hero and got everything taken care of for me.

They offered to contact the dryout service for me and schedule an appointment ASAP, which I greatly appreciated especially since I was very upset about the water damage. Andy Barbosa called me the next day to see how things were going, which I thought was very nice and made me feel like a valued customer. A few days later Jackie came out to inspect the plumbing. Barbosa Plumbing came by our house and I gave them a basic rundown of exactly what I was looking for. I had been through about 2-3 other ac companies that already did the legwork of figuring out what I needed and Barbosa didn't fight me on it or try to upsell me.They did a quick inspection and agreed that my house needed additional return vents. Luke got additional information from my units, went on his way to write up a quote and gave me 2 options. 1 option was a more expensive option, but he upfront told me that the cheaper option was recommended for my case.Scheduled the service the following Monday and they did what they needed to do on the promised date. The work was clean, quick and best of all - it WORKED! It fixed the exact issue I was having and I will continue to use Barbosa for any other of my hvac needs!

Requested a quote for gas leak search and repair. Tech attempted multiple times to do a gas line pressure test without success, said he was having equipment failure. So I asked the tech for an alternative repair quote, which was provided. My issue is I was still charged for the gas leak search after the tech said his equipment was failing. And the emailed repair quote I received was $700+ more than the verbal quote the tech provided while on site. Also, I was not made aware of the $85 trip charge until the tech was on site.

Complete new A/C system installed, these guys were excellent! Local and Family Owned yet still competitive in pricing! Luke took the time to explain exactly what our old A/C wasn't doing and helped us make a decision on the most effective unit that would not only save us money but make our home comfortable again! Terry and Daniel were very professional and considerate. I had an issue with my water heater. Terry explained in detail the possible causes and consequences. He then provided options for my consideration. On choosing to go with a new water heater he provided me a temporary solution until they could return the next day and install the new water heater. On installation of the new heater he explained the details of the work he did, how the water heater functions, and warranty information. A great experience!!

There was a delay with my property manager sending a contractor out to look at our faulty AC, so I called Barbosa in the meantime. The technician, Jonathan, gave me a good assessment of what he believed caused the problem, the condition of the unit, and parts that needed to be replaced. He knew that to continue a full diagnostic of the system, he would need to replace some parts that would cost me a few hundred dollars, but that there were bigger issues with the unit and it likely would need to be replaced. His recommendation was to save my money. He filed a good report of his assessment that I passed on to my property manager and the contractor that came out later, who ended up replacing the unit. Although I was not in a position to hire Barbosa to complete the work, I was extremely satisfied with their ability to get a technician out to us and his honesty and professionalism. I will recommend Barbosa to others and in the future will request them from my property manager.

I am a business owner in the area locally. I had never used Barbosa but since they were local and had good reviews I decided to give them a shot. We had a clog in our condensation line. I told them over the phone that the only thing that needed to be done was to blow out the condensation line. They said the service call would be $125. They showed up and hour later than the time slot given. When they got there and told me what needed to be done they gave me a final quote of over $400 because its a commercial property even though the unit is residential (small space). The only thing they ended doing is unclogging a drain just like i told them. They wouldn't give me upfront pricing even though I told Jen the office worker what needed to be done. I was basically trapped into paying it since they were already there and its difficult to run a business without A/C. $285 to pump air through a drain line to unclog it is absurd. Maybe residential is different but commercially I would look else where. Im giving it two stars because the technician was nice.

Over time they have handled many things for me. This time I had a gas leak Terry coordinated with excavation crew, city inspector. I dealt with Gas Company. Too many people so it took almost a week to get heat. Terry came back after 6 to light the pilot light so I could have heat.

We have been customers of Barbosa Plumbing and AC for over 20 years. They have always been prompt and professional anytime we need them. Our AC was on its last legs and went out completely on Thursday. Luke came out and did an emergency fix that got us through the night. The next morning Luke and his crew were there to install our new unit. The crew was curtious and professional. We will be Barbosa customers for as long as we are in this area.

Couldn't say enough about this company, from their office staff to the final product, absolutely amazing. We had a water main break under the foundation of our house, I called on a Sunday night around midnight and left a voicemail (didn't want to pay for emergency service call) and I promptly received a call first thing Monday morning at 8am from their office. I explained the issue and said he could send out a plumber to take a look. When Terry showed up, he was very professional and immediately took a look and discovered the issue, the best thing is that he was able to shut the water off at the meter as we don't have a shut off valve on the outside of the house. They then scheduled an excavation crew, who also hand chipped the concrete from the foundation to expose the damaged pipe, Terry was able to sleeve in a new piece of a pipe and problem solved! Terry also went out of his way to fix a broken sprinkler pipe that the excavation crew broke (even though you sign a waiver that says they are not responsible for a long list of items) I rarely call a contactor as I am pretty handy myself, but this was a bit our of my league. I chose this company from the pure fact of Google reviews, and if you find yourself in the same situation, I recommend you give them a chance, you won't be disappointed. I should be getting paid to write this, but this is my honest experience talking! Maybe they will give me a discount should I need their services again in the future! Jackie came out to service my Noritz tankless unit and quickly diagnosed and fixed problems my unit was having for many years. Awesome - Thank you Jackie!My original installer could not ( or would not) fix it after a number of service calls. My original installer was a “chain Yanker” and wanted me to buy a new unit. An honest plumber is hard to find, Jackie and Barbosa is one!Jackie Peavler is a great plumber. He was prompt, courteous and very friendly. Most important, he was upfront and honest about the work that might be needed including different options that we might run into. He fixed the problem the first time with no hassle and no need for rework. I appreciate this honesty from Jackie and Barbosa, especially since I'd called other plumbers first and they wouldn't even provide an estimate. I guess they expect someone to hire them and pay whatever they want. Jackie's and Barbosa's estimate was on the money so I knew what was needed and the cost.

We asked to perform an annual inspection on all ac units. Jackie is always pleasant and thorough every time. However, we were taken by surprise with all of the items recommended to be performed on all units including the units recently replaced. The old units I can understand. I feel like the quote had things that were not necessary.

I had this bad experience. They inspected our AC unit as part of the yearly inspection routine. In the process they broke the control unit connector that goes to the the nest thermostat . so the nest thermostat is not able to detected the 24V. When they diagnose the issue, they propose changing the whole wiring of the system that can cause thousands of $ and digging into the wall in the play room and the celings. I got another company to look at this issue of course, because the unit is working fine for 10 years with no issue and after inspection now the wiring system is broken (rises some questions to me?!!) . The new company were able to find the issue in 5 minutes. they did some voltage measurements and look at the control units and found the connector is broken. They replace the control unit for 100$, the issue solved. Sometimes when we work we make mistakes and we broke thing in the process, i have no hard feeling over that, we are humen after all. but what makes me unhappy is the fact that they did not do their home work to look at the real issue and prpose very extreme solution that may not solve the issue. I have been working with Barbosa for more than a year now, they tend to go to extreme solution all the time instead of looking at sample stuff to fix the issue. I have the same experience with the gas line to my water heater. the water heater was working fine for 10 year, they serviced it and they found unit is not getting enough gas, so it vibrates. It was not vibrating before the service. they proposed getting new gas line from outside, and they did that for 4K$. I am sure if i got a second opinion on that, it can be a sample fix, but i did not at that time and paid a heavy price. I have to also mention some positive side of Barbosa, they are very responsive to calls, they do things in very timely manner and they are respectful to their customers. But these two experiences i have, I decided to drop them from my contractor list to work with.

The technicians are always dressed professionally in uniforms, promptly perform the services required, clean up any debris that may have occurred, and are finished within the time quoted over the phone. I belong to the Family Savings Club, which means I get reminders to schedule spring and fall HVAC checkups at discounted rates. This plan also includes plumbing repairs! I have trusted Barbosa to keep my heating equipment in tip-top shape for over twenty years.

They are always super responsive, honest and do excellent work. My whole family uses them for everything. When my AC broke they were able to help on the same day in the middle of the summer and just did the same with my water heater. I really like that they break everything down and always give several options. Definitely recommend!

6 weeks ago, I had my A/C serviced by Barbosa. On 10/08/2020, around 6.30pm, my A/C just shut down and stopped working completely. I called Barbosa to send out a tech to fix it, and just after 7.30 Travis was at my door. He fixed the problem, answered all of our questions and was very professional. We were very satisfied with Travis but we can't help but wonder if the cause of the problem should have been caught during the previous service.

They installed 2 new water heaters in 2018 and came and serviced them 2 years later. Barbosa is very professional and knowledgeable. Terry is so nice and great to work with!

I had them install a new 2 AC units and 2 furnaces. I am very happy with and there work.It's be a year and half now and I still see them for my maintenance.I would recommend them to friends and family.

We paid $85 for a pleasant conversation with their very polite technician. I'm not sure why were charged a service call when all that was provided were estimates. Barbosa's services are markedly higher in price; we were quoted $475 by ARS/Rescue Rooter but $654 by Barbosa. The technician remarked that we should go with the other company

Barbosa is responsive to our needs and does a nice job in keeping us informed of any issues related to our systems. Their maintenance is high quality.

The technician, Jackie, showed up on time and explained what my charges would be before starting the work. He was very thorough and checked before leaving to make sure my air conditioner was in working order. He was very polite and pleasant to deal with.

Luka came out and took care of our vents blowing warm air and informed us well while he was working. He knew what he was doing and didn’t apply unnecessary pressure to buy something I didn’t need. I had Barbosa scheduled to check mu Carrier HVAC unit for a malfunction error 41 which says blower motor malfunction. Whenthe technician arrived he did some diagnostic and said it was the fan motor. With warranty it would be 1800.00 dollars to replace the fan motor.I had indicated to the Barbosa tech that I felt it was the board.I had another company today replace the fan motor from Carrier supply for my unit and it still did not work. The Penacrux tech checked the flow of electric to the motor and ultimately after numerous tests concluded it was in fact the board. He replaced the board and the unit is working with no errors and at a fraction of the price.

In conjunction with a buyer's home inspection, we had Barbosa to perform an additional level of inspection of the A/C units. As always, they were very responsive, knowledgeable, professional and arrived on time as expected.

Barbosa came through quickly for a heating unit repair on a very cold day. They were able to get to us quickly, and that was a life-saver. Jackie identified the problems quickly, explained all that needed to be done, and was quick to finish the work. He followed safety protocol with a mask.

Stay away from this company for any plumbing needs. They are extremely expensive and they do a very poor job. I hired them twice; first time they did just Ok but pricey. Second time is when they blew it. I had water what appears to come from under ground inside my house. They charged me about ~$850 in two visits just to tell me I had a leak under ground (leak detection) and quoted me $10,000 to dig a tunnel under my house and repair the water leak (what???). I obviously requested 2 more opinions and Barbosa was totally wrong where the leak was and repair took less than 2 hours. (No digging, no tunnels, and noooo $10,000 dlls!!).Yes I tried to politely call them and request my ~$850 back but they ignored me.I don't recommend them and will never use them again.

Jackie installed a new tankless hot water heater and moved it from a downstairs closet to our attic! He has done many other jobs for us over the years and always does first class work. He is knowledgable and is detail oriented. He is personable and cares about his customers.

My gas line to my house failed a pressure test by the gas company and they shut my service off and pulled my meter on a Friday afternoon. Barbosa Plumbing came over to look at the problem and gave me an estimate of $12,000 to fix the problem with no guarantee it might not cost more. Refused to provide an hourly price. They thought they had me trapped going into a weekend but I declined the deal, did my own trenching and got another plumber to hook up and test the service. They billed me hourly and did a great job, only $1400. Barbosa is the typical predatory opportunistic plumbing outfit, don't use them. I love how they won't provide work on an hourly basis but only want to give you a quote with a bunch of conditions attached that basically says they will charge you more if everything does not go perfectly. They lock in a huge price gouge with no downside for them.

Replaced upstairs and downstairs with a new AC and Luke was very instrumental in helping me in making the decision of which unit would best fit our want, needs and budget. His attention to detail and workmanship and knowledge of the system was key in making this very large endeavor a breeze! I totally trust his judgement and look forward to having him as my technician in the years to come in servicing this new product.

Barbosa continues to amaze me. I have been a customer of theirs for about 5 years (they fully installed a new AC system top to bottom 4 years ago and I love it!) I selected this company over the others years ago because they are more family friendly based instead of the big corporate operations where it is get in get out give me your money. They also give you tips and advice to help prevent situations from occurring which could cost you more money. They REALLY DO CARE about their customers. Whether it is Andy B. handling customer care and appointments over the phone with absolute friendliness and professionalism, to the latest tech Jonathan C. that came out that not only fixed my issues but also gave great advice and treated me with respect regardless of my knowledge level of the situation or to the newsletter that has great tips stories and information (Yes, I do read it.) Barbosa is who I use for all my plumbing and AC needs and I would definitely reccomend them to anyone.

Had Lucca come out for same day Saturday service and he repaired problem at a reasonable rate. He also informed me the unit is 15 years old and runs on R22 so will pretty much need to be replaced Jan 2020. I think I had heard about that before, but didn't realize it applied to my house, but it was built in 1982 so at the end of the day, while I didn't want to buy a new AC unit now, it's probably my best option given the circumstances. I've had other HVAC companies tell me several times I'd probably have to replace it in the next few years. They just never said why.Regardless, Lucca and Jen are wonderful and caring, and their suggestions are the same as what they would do for their own home or that of a family member. They did not pressure, only informed and educated so I could make a good decision, and Lucca expected I'd look at competitors and told me what to look for and consider so I could make that best decision.In the past, I've learned I can always find a cheaper quote elsewhere, but often that doesn't mean the vendor suggesting more extensive/expensive work is lying. It means someone else is always willing to put a bandaid on it while I keep my head buried in the sand and send thoughts and prayers to the universe to change what cannot be changed. I've learned to just accept it when maintenance issues absolutely must be addressed and in the long run, it saves me time and hassle (and money) to just address the problem head on and efficiently.If that's the kind of service you're looking for, you're looking for Barbosa. Buying a new HVAC sucks but we only do it a few times in life, if that. At least get it done right and effortlessly by a truly expert, world class team who prioritizes customer service.

Jackie Peavler is always a delight. He checked out my AC system and gave me a short list of parts that may fail due to the age of the system. No pressure to replace now, but very good to know these may not last the season - or may last two more seasons. So I have time to prepare for these expenses. GREAT SERVICE!!

We needed our complete AC/heating unit and all our ducts replaced. They came when they said they would. Replaced everything and now my house is cool and it's extremely quiet compared to our old system. Hoping the extra filtration and UV lights help with my dust mite allergies.

It’s been a very difficult experience. Barbosa is not standing behind their work. They are claiming things that are not factual and saying that Jack, the 73 year old owner, signed off on the work. This is simply not true as Jack has no idea what has been done. He gets confused easily. It's an unethical way of handling an unfortunate situation. Barbosa is also claiming the problems happened due to small space in the attic and this is false. The attic is long and roomy.We hired Barbosa in August 2018 to replace our metal duct work in townhouse (built in 1979) and add a few returns/grills. They sold us Antimicrobial ductwork and a REME HALO after sharing allergy sensitivities and my son’s onset asthma. The antimicrobial ductwork is very cool but, unfortunately, the REME is typically not recommended for people with breathing problems. My son got back on an inhaler soon after and the air/HVAC is still not right in here. We ended up turning off the REME a week or so after they installed it but the REME was not removed until Jan 8th, 2019.We learned recently that the owner’s son left the company and did not file a permit for the original work in Aug. JP informed us that we had a case of negative air pressure by not having a large enough return. They doubled the size of the return 2 weeks ago and replaced the 4” filter which was filthy. However, during the visit, one of the crew broke through the ceiling directly above my desk. I was on a live video call with the COO of company and my boss saw the entire thing and took pics. Fortunately, no one was physically hurt but it was a big mess and required time and logistics. Barbosa is claiming that this hole occurred when removing the REME but the location of the hole and where the REME was installed are in two completely different locations. My desk is in the dining room and the location of the handler (REME's location) is above the kitchenBarbosa fixed the hole but have not addressed a replacement air purifier in lieu of removing the REME. They told us we had a previous balance and removing the REME eliminated the balance and that we must pay for another option? Since the work on Jan 8th, the hole and removing the REME, the air in the house smells musty. The townhouse has been completely remodeled (attic insulation removed, sanitized and replaced with new insulation at the time of initial work.) It’s very discouraging bc my son feels better when he’s not here.Barbosa (JP) told me that a cleaning crew would come in after the work was done (in lieu of the mess) and they would address switching the REME for the Bi-Polar Bear purifier. Neither has happened. I am going to contact a health inspector and another a/c company for a second opinion. They were dishonest with the city inspector and he is not aware of all the facts.

J.C., the company representative/technician who serviced our air conditioner issue, was extremely polite, professional, and thorough. He explained our options very well and, in the end, did a wonderful job of fixing the problem.

This is a little late, as this happened about a month or two ago, and I keep meaning to leave a review. After a Baker Brothers AC check and their rep saying we needed $9K-$14K in repairs, on a 6 year old unit, I stared at him in disbelief, kept nodding my head through his explanations (uhuh, sure, yeah, whatever), quickly escorted that man out of my house and started searching for other companies. Came across and called Barbosa, and Luke came out the very next day. He even let me follow him around and showed me the items that I wanted to see that were supposedly bad according to the BB rep, starting with the evaporator coils in the attic. We went outside to check the units from there. Luke walked me through the whole check process, showing me what part was what, etc. Turns out all I needed at the time was 2 compressors replaced, less than $500. I will definitely use them in the future!

(Lakewood Dallas)Luke Barbosa was on time to do preventative maintenance on our AC. First thing I noticed was he covered his shoes with an outer sock as to not track in dirt. Luke did his job in a professional manner and I would not hesitate to recommend them to friends or clients.

Jonathan was very professional. He was also beyond patient in explaining the work along the way. Replacing a gas line to your house is not a fun, inexpensive repair, but dealing with Jonathan made it much easier. Can't say enough about the professionalism!

Barbarossa is not a honest contractor and very expensive.We called them to repair water heater and shower tap.They initially said visiting charge $95 and it will be waived if you accepts to perform the work.Once they are at my home said there is also a diagnostic fee $95 additional.After diagnostic technician try to mislead us and recommended for change of 2 water heaters for $5600.Actually one is working fine.For shower tap without cartridge he gave a quote for $460 for 20 min work but actually my handyman changed it for $40.Do not ever try this company

HVAC Tech, William Gupton, was outstanding. Our commercial A/C unit quit working all together. Because of the age of the unit I was expecting to have to replace it. However, William said he had found a loose fan belt that was causing the compressor to shut down due to overheating. He cleaned the unit and all is well. It is hard to find young technicians with integrity and honesty. He is a man of good character...very much appreciated!

Great customer service. We were able to quickly get an appointment with a Plumber to come out and had no issues with communication or the payment process. I wish working with every company was this easy!
