Plumbing 101 Of DFW

TL;DR Joe kept 3400 dollars for a job he never did. Said he'd pay me back, sans the hours he put in trying to diagnose my problem/messing with my pipes, and now seems to be ghosting me.Had a flood in a bathroom from the base of the toilet. Joe looked at it, figured we had a slab leak. Asked for a 3400 dollar down payment to deal with it by tunneling under the house. We saw his reviews and trusted him, and paid him.He kept showing up hours later than he said he'd be, and a flushed toilet caused another flood, leading us to doubt his diagnosis. He was gonna deal with the clog, but he still believed their was a slab leak.He said he'd come deal with it at 7. My girlfriend got up early to let him in; he showed up at 9 but had to leave almost right away because he didn't have the right equipment or he needed to drive his girlfriend to work.Last straw for us. We told him we were just gonna hire a big corporate plumber to get it over with fast. He was polite, said he'd pay us back the down payment.We called in another plumber, they showed up, used a camera snake to find the clog, demolished it, and were gone within one hour. 600 bucks. They said they found no sign of a slab leak.Joe suddenly got real hard to get ahold of. He hasn't replied to a text or call in... 4 or 5 days now? Been over a week since we let him go.Last time we talked, and I told him I was freaked about the chance of him walking with my money, he said I'm not that guy.I honestly don't get it. I'm starting to wonder if he ever honestly believed there was a slab leak, or if he just thought we looked like a couple gullible idiots. I guess he was right, if so.

Joe handled a complex job with many parties involved in a professional and expedient way. We were able to meet our aggressive deadline due to Joe's can do attitude and effort.His prices were competitive against other big box shops we had received quotes from. I'd 10/10 recommend Joe for any future jobs.

Had a gas leak on a Sunday. Joe came out the same day to inspect and give me a price. He was out the next morning to repair and took care of scheduling the inspection with the city until it was passed and the gas was back on. Price was very reasonable and he went above and beyond to explain the issue and help to get everything done as efficiently and least costly as possible. I would highly recommend!

Joe was at my house 20 minutes after I called. His pricing was clear and fair and he is very kind and knowledge. He fixed my issue quickly and helped me to understand what happened. I definitely recommend him for any plumbing needs!

During the storm we had a pipe burst in the laundry room on Wednesday leaving us without water. We scheduled Plumbing 101 for Friday afternoon but they didn't come. We followed up that afternoon with a call and found out they had the wrong phone number and had been in our neighborhood the day before and tried to reach us. Joe felt bad about the miscommunication and made a special trip and came Friday night. He did the repairs professionally, was not high priced, and offered a discount due to the mistake. I would recommend them and plan on calling them back for another issue we are having unrelated to the storm.

I called Joe after calling multiple companies and Joe gave me the best price. He came as promised and did an excellent job. Based on my experience Joe is very knowledgeable and trustworthy. I will use him for my plumbing needs again without a second thought.

Joe and his team have fixed a gas leak and a burst water pipe for us. He cares about helping people and did a great job. He also showed up quickly both times. He even brought us space heaters from his house when we didn't have gas! Thanks, Joe!

Texas winter fiasco of 2021 and we had Joe with Plumbing 101 of DFW, rescue our renters from a water pipe that flooded the house. He scheduled us and fixed up the leak after-hours so the family could have running water. We are very grateful for his time and his professionalism. Other plumbers told us it would be a week or more before they could come out. Plumbing 101 of DFW provided us with up front service call, estimate and completed the job all within one day!

First off, I never leave reviews. However, it'd be an act of injustice if I didn't leave one for Joe. In the midst of a confusing and trying time due to the winter storm and subsequent flooding, Joe came out promptly and provided a level of professionalism and care that goes far beyond the call of duty. I was treated not as a customer but as a family member as he went out of his way to be helpful. Thank you Joe. You have made what would otherwise be a miserable situation bearable.

Joseph said I had a drain pipe that needed repair in the front yard. The job was supposed to take 3 days. I paid half down, and the next day they dug a hole. It has since been a week of excuses, no shows, and unanswered calls/texts. I am left with a hole, a large section of grass that will be dead from the smothering, and now must find another plumber to complete the job. I'm out $1400 plus damages to my lawn.I have all the calls and texts to back my claims. BEWARE!

I highly recommend Joe and Plumbing 101! Always does such a great job and unlikely previous services I've used before he is not out to try to find mysterious add-ons. Always honest, he will find the issue, give you a more than reasonable quote and then perform the repair to perfection. Couldn't be happier with his work, highly highly recommend him.
