Best Plumbing Repairs in Columbus OH

I called McDermott Plumbing for a second estimate on a new water heater after getting a bad feeling from a high pressure sales pitch from Atlas Butler for a new water heater. Mike was very professional when inspecting the unit and gave an honest assessment about the cost to repair vs cost to replace. I ultimately went with installing a new water heater and the cost was about $500 less than Atlas Butler. Mike did a great job explaining everything and cleaning up afterward and I would definitely call again!

Great service. The technicians were fantastic. Easy to schedule a tune up and get my furnace ready for Winter. They were on time, friendly, and provided an overview of what they did. Great pricing on top of it all. I will be reaching out in the future for any additional HVAC needs.

The gentlemen that came out to my home were friendly which I appreciate and they knew exactly what they are doing and they found the problem and they are going to fix it with as little envision as possible. Received EXCELLENT and TIMELY service from this company. We discovered our water heater was not working on a Friday night. (because the rule of all appliances is to break down on evenings and weekends, right?) Water Heaters Only is open 24 hours so I called right away to get on the schedule. Tim went out of his way to walk us through some troubleshooting through texts and photos and helped us narrow down the issue, which ended up being a faulty control valve. The was a slight delay in sourcing the part due to supply chain issues but once the correct part was available, a tech came over right away to complete the repair. I didn't catch the tech's name but he was very friendly and completed the repair in a very short time. Very satisfied with the level of customer care and the rates. I'm happy to give them our repeat business should the need arise.

They may not be the cheapest on the market but they have excellent customer service. Replaced our tankless water heater. They found several leaks in the walls and repaired those, without charging extra!

When looking for a reputable plumber, I was at a loss. Thanks to previous reviewers, I felt pretty good about hiring Eddie - and I was not disappointed. Very professional, called to confirm the appointment, called to let me know he was en route, and then did a GREAT job once he got here. He was able to reseat my toilet and drill off a rusted faucet nut for a very reasonable price, all while taking the time to show me and explain what was needed. I will not hesitate to recommend Eddie to anyone I know, and he will definitely be my go-to guy for future services.

Our plumber showed up on time like they said they would. He was very friendly and told what was going with our tankless water heater. He had in up and going in a little over an hour. Didn't break the bank like other plumbers wanted to charge us.

Around the end of Dec. I contacted Cantrell for a diagnostic after noticing water on the floor where the hot water heater is located (they did the replacement I recalled the diagnostic trip charge was about $80).The tech stated he was in the immediate vicinity.Upon his arrival the first thing that struck me as unprofessional was that he glanced at my shoes on the landing,my bare feet, and continued up the white stairs and across my hard wood floors in his muddy boots.He turned off the main water, placed his finger in the drip pan and stated it couldn't be the water heater because the water in the pan was cold. He asked me to plug the kitchen sink, fill it with water, and then unplug. We were about 5 feet from each other and when I unplugged the sink I noticed the water begin to rise in a tube in the laundry room.He suggested I remove the water from the drip pan with a towel and bucket.I placed a liner in the trash and he removed the liner stating in a sarcastic tone doesn't it make sense? (to remove the liner). He wrapped up by stating it would cost $140 to snake (plus the trip charge fee), to call in the am, and left, all within 15 minutes tops.I resolved with drano.On 1/18 I received an invoice for $265.At 4:43pm I called the office and spoke with an Eleanor who stated that can't be right....we charge $70 for the trip charge and $68/hr for services. She said the trip charge could sometimes double on weekends..understandable but still didn't add up($140, $208 tops).She asked for the initials on the description, I told her TR, she responded oh, the owner I will have to call you back on Monday. No return call but I received a duplicate bill with $265 highlighted in bold.I contacted several plumbers and their response was a $265 15 min diagnostic trip charge was far from standard, even excessive. Inconsistent pay practices? Beware

Couldn't put a zero star review. Had his customer calling to order the materials for him. Refusing to give a total price for the job until it was done. Left us waiting all day with no a/c and at 8:30pm finally he said, well I just got home ilI' call tomorrow..... Promised job to be done on Saturday , here it is Monday and still no answer and no a/c!!! BEWARE......
