Used this plumber for a shower leak because of the wonderful reviews on here. Wanted to share ours so you're not disappointed like me. I'll start by daying the technician was super nice and (i think) fixed the problem but I'm in disbelief how he left my home. I knew I'd have holes to repair that's a given. These are huge! He didn't even start smaller to see if he could access the pipes he just cut huge holes. He just wanted to get the job done quick and leave. But it's not even that. He didn't move my kids step stool and cut right over it leaving it a mess. He used my bathroom trash can for his trash & drywall and did not take it. He came to get our paper towels to wipe some water and didn't shop vac all the shavings. Scheduled in advance was not a emergency call window was 11-1 came at 315 ( did call at 3 to say on his way) gone in a half an hour and charged almost $400 to fix a fault valve. Just expect a mess afterwards! I knew I'd have to clean afterwards but the bulk really should have been shop vac-ed and taken with for discard. Also didn't wear shoe covers on my freshly cleaned white carpet.

We ran into a clogged pipe late Friday night and called at least 10 places. This was the only place that actually said they would send someone to help us. They were informative and responsive. Joe was incredibly professional and helpful. Explained everything to us and made sure we understood. He was able to resolve the issue quickly and cleaned up after. We will definitely use again and highly recommend.

It's less than a week before we close on the sale of this home, and of course we just found water leaking in our basement. I called 1-Tom-Plumber at 7AM and was able to get a same-day appointment in the 11AM-1PM timeframe! Our technician David was friendly, courteous, and thorough. The source of the problem was difficult to detect and it took a little while to figure things out. I appreciated that David started out with the least invasive (and less expensive) approaches. Ultimately he did have to cut a hole in the wall, but he only cut what was necessary and managed to perfectly center the location of the leak -- a pinpoint hole in a copper pipe. The diagnosis and repair took less than 2 hours and David did a nice job cleaning up the mess that was made. I also appreciate that David pointed out another spot we should keep our eye on for potential future issues. I thought the pricing was fair and I wasn't being sold on unnecessary extras. What an unexpectedly pleasant experience!

Blake and John surprised us by being able to repair the leak without tearing out the ceiling below the toilet. This made the repair, which we had already authorized, a lot less expensive and much less disruptive. They were friendly, communicative and professional. We hope to never need a plumber again, but I’m keeping their information just in case. Thanks, guys! We appreciate your hard work. ?

Blake and Glen replaced our sump pump and did an excellent job. Rochelle in the office is friendly, knowledgeable and professional. We had same day service which really helped. This was our first time working with the company and we highly recommend them.

I found a new plumbing company today!! Last night I went downstairs to get some paper towel and found water in the basement. The plastic pipe were they come into house had a leak. Mind you my house is about 30 years old. I call 1 Tom Plumber In the morning and lord and behold this company got me on the schedule for today from 11am to 1pm. The time fit perfectly. John and his partner(I forgot his name) did a professional job! Explaining everything and the cost , very reasonable. On the spare notice I asked John IF they could also replace the outside faucet also. Oh yes we can!
I would highly recommend this company to anyone who has the need for professional plumbing work. I’m proud to say I would use this company again and again!

UPDATE Jan 2022: Called 1-Tom-Plumber again for a leaking water heater. It was 11:30 on a Friday night. The dispatcher was very helpful, she got me in touch with the general manager (Mike) that same night! I needed some idea of what to do over the next few hours to keep the situation from getting worse, and to get me an approximate cost for the new water heater. This company is OUTSTANDING to work with. They are responsive, helpful, and efficient. The Technician (Dave) communicated with me ahead of time and all during the installation. He answered questions politely and clearly. He installed the new water heater and made sure I knew the basics of the operation and maintenance. He was very conscientious about taking the old rusting water heater up my newly carpeted basement stairs! He wrapped it in a tarp and made sure there were no leaks on my carpet!. I wouldn't hesitate to call this company again for any plumbing need. If I could give 10 stars I would.

I spoke to John after being referred to 1 Tom after getting an estimate from a competitor. 1 Tom was $1000 less than the other estimate and for a larger tankless water heater system. John and Glenn arrived promptly, answered my questions and installed the tankless system flawlessly. I will 100% use them again and have been recommending them to anyone who asks.

John and Glenn were so nice to come out nd take a look at our issues to resolve the kitchen sink disaster as well to provide a quote on installing a new shower. We have not used them yet but plan to in the very near future. Extremely professional , personable and listened to my concerns.

Our technician Zach was extremely helpful and professional! We had a large clog in some pipes under our house and he had to use our vent pipe to clear it. He even came back a second day to make sure it was completely clear. If we ever have any other plumbing issues we will definitely be using them again!

These guys are great I would highly recommend them. I called them one morning and got an appointment almost immediately that day. The plumber they sent was John and after looking at my problem he told me that I could get the parts I needed under warranty from Delta, to order them and call when I had all the parts. He said he would come back and install them. Two weeks later he was back completed the installation for a very reasonable price and even deducted the cost of the first service call from my bill. I couldn’t be happier and would highly recommend it one time plumbers to anyone in need of plumbing work. I would ask for John.

John and Blake were very professional and polite. They came out to my house after hours actually after there company Christmas party. They were very clean and explained everything they were going to do and at the end of the work they explained again. I will be recommending thus company to anyone that is in need of plumbing of any kind.

I had several quotes and 1-Tom 1 wasn't highest and 2 wasn't filled with unrelated items that felt dishonest. I had John come out to my new home to handle several items; a garbage disposal installation, loose toilet, loose shower fitting and few odds and ends. He was prompt, professional, incredibly knowledgeable about his craft, and very honest in quotes and recommendations.

A few weeks later I needed a plumber to install a valve per the city. I, without hesitation, called 1-Tom again and asked for John.

The staff on the phone is incredibly polite and not pushy about services. Scheduling was easy too.

If I ever need a plumber again, I will immediately call 1-Tom.

Blake was super professional and helpful. He was completely honest about what we needed and wasn't trying to pressure us into getting anything extra. He showed up at the time that he told us he would be here. Thank you so much Blake!

Dave came and diagnosed the issue quickly and provided a repair. They came out the same day and where able to get to me the same week for the fix. Quick and cleaned up any mess made. Will definitely use in the future and recommend to others

I had a late night plumbing issue, which is never a good thing! I had water leaking from a toilet and called 1-Tom-Plumbers because they offered 24-hour service. They quickly took my call and set me up to have someone come out as soon as possible. Tony was assigned and he did an excellent job communicating with me on when he would arrive, which helped ease my late night plumbing stress! When Tony arrived, he quickly fixed the issue and I was pleased with the cost, it was not as much as I thought for a late service call. I recommend 1-Tom-Plumbers and Tony.

Mike Anderson was beyond professional. He took a call to help someone with a child with a disability. Came 3 hours early and understood my situation. Don’t think I’ve had a professional tradesman I my house that did everything to help my son with Autism. I son only eats 2 solid foods and had to leave for 10 min to get a pizza for him. And he said I understand I have your house. I will recommend and use for years to come. Thank you Mike Anderson

Blake showed up and had my drain unclogged and going in no time!
We had a clogged sink from my kid putting stuff down it.
I told him that I wanted to avoid having to throw the rotor rooter to it if possible, and he was able to clear it out without that. Blake was friendly, offered me some suggestions about the setup for the future, and got it done quickly.
He tested it out thoroughly and made sure it was working before he left.
I would def use this company again.

Dave came in and fixed an issue with our kitchen sink that we had been dealing with for a long time. He quickly diagnosed the problem, and was able to fix it in no time. I would recommend his services to my family and friends.

John and Tony were fantastic! We had an emergency issue that took a lot of investigative work and they kept us updated and informed the whole time. Not only did they solve the problem we called them about but they discovered that some remodel work we had done recently was not done correctly and they fixed it while they were here!! This additional discovery saved us from a potential major water issue in the near future and thousands of dollars in damage. They even went above and beyond to help us understand how to best report this issue back to insurance for possible reimbursement of the bad remodel job. Overall thrilled with these two gentlemen, and I will definitely be calling them for any future work.

We had 2 leaks in our refrigerator water dispenser line, and we called 1-Tom-Plumber. Tony came out and did a quick check, got replacement line, and had the whole thing fixed in less than an hour from arrival to completion. Outstanding skill and easy to talk with. To be clear, this review only relates to our water heater situation. We recently moved into the area from northern Ohio. This is the 6th house that we have owned. I noticed that there was water sitting in the pan under the water heater which we have never experienced before. Concerned that there was a problem, I called 1 Tom Plumbers to troubleshoot it based on researching some reviews. The plumber was very friendly and he explained that it was from the pressure valve which is what it was designed to do. No discussion as to why the pressure might be high. We payed the minimum show-up fee and he left. I kept watching it and called them back when it got no better. The plumber they sent out again was friendly and changed the valve. To their credit, they took the initial fee off of the new invoice. A few weeks went by and there was still water sitting in the pan. I called to find out if this was normal and would this eventually rust the tank. The scheduler said that she would have a technician call. Waited a week and called again. Got the same response - a tech would call me back. Waited a week and called a third time. This time she said that it could be a pin-hole in the tank and that there was no way to identify that. Well, yes, there is. I went to the hardware, bought a length of hose and put it on the pressure valve discharge to divert the water into the floor drain. Shazam-the water dried up. I finally called the manufacturer and discussed the issue with their support representative. He said that it has to be a problem with the expansion tank that is plumbed into the water heater circuit to absorb normal pressure spikes. I called Water Heaters Plus, an authorized service company. They came out quickly and replaced the expansion tank which has fixed the problem. He was very surprised that the 1-Tom plumbers who came out didn't troubleshoot the expansion tank. In fairness, about 3 weeks into this, I got a text from one of the 1-Tom plumbers saying that he was in the area and could stop by. By then, I had the answers and ignored it.
We learned the hard way to call the professional water heater people for water heater problems. Because it is a problem that involves water doesn't automatically mean that you call an general plumber. It cost us twice as much as it should have for that education. Hope this helps someone else from making the same mistake.

Mike Anderson did an amazing job clearing our blocked sewage drains and sewage backup, and walking us carefully through the process of understanding what was wrong and what would be required to fix it, as well as explaining the process around it. Service was amazing, and Mike was a perfect professional and a great personality to come in at a difficult time.

Casey showed up on time and was very friendly and knowledgeable. He was able to diagnose and fix the problem immediately and at a very fair cost. We were very pleased with the work done and will be using them for all of our plumbing needs in the future.

Mike was prompt and professional. Called him out late on a Sunday. He worked his tail off diagnosing the problem and finding a way to fix it. I felt like the price was fair considering it was a Sunday and how hard he worked to get us back up and running. 100% would recommend.

As an out of town land lord it is really hard to find good plumbers that you can trust. 1-Tom-Plumber's Columbus location is fairly new, but I have used their other location and these guys are awesome! They are the only plumber/drain-cleaner I will use! I am so glad that they are now servicing my Columbus properties! Great quality work, honest, and great customer service!!!

Plumber came out and advised he would have to tear down my wall just to install a new shower handle. To make things worse I wasn’t told there was a $79 charge for just showing up. Now I’m not a plumber but I do know that people replace shower handles without having to tear down the shower walls. Be careful with this crooked company !!

I consider a plumber until I needed a plumber. On a weekend. At 6pm. And while I paid handsomely, these guys were awesome especially Blake who came out and did the deed. I highly recommend!

I utilized 1-Tom Plumber for an emergency frozen pipe. Since that time, I called them back several times to replace a sump pump, replace bathroom sink fixtures and install a new valve for our sprinkler system. They are professional in every way, from timeliness - to service - to masks and shoe covers. I trust them and they are my go to plumber!
