Best Heating Replacement in Colorado Springs CO

What a huge mistake I made even calling Affordable Plumbing!!!!! I had a outdoor faucet that was spewing water, and I was concerned. Not being a plumber, I anticipated that the faucet would need to be replaced. I was given a quote which included their extra money just to come to my door. I was curious to see what all the tech was going to do (he was very nice) and watched him in disbelief when he spent all of 10 minutes replacing a plastic piece that I later googled to see how much it was. I was charged $439.25 to replace a $19 part (which by the way is made in Colorado Springs). I checked to see how long he was there by watching my security cameras, and he was there for no more than 20 minutes!!!!! That comes out to $1092.75 per hour. I stewed on this for over a week and finally called to see if they would reduce this price because it was such a simple fix. WHICH I NOW KNOW!!!!! And did not get anywhere. They stand by their prices and do not have a problem charging such a high price to screw people over. BE AWARE OF THIS COMPANY! I even asked the guy why they called themselves Affordable Plumbing. His direct quote was Affordable Plumbing doesn't mean it is the cheapest. That was NOT affordable!!!!! I think they have no integrity at all. To screw over some customers to probably cover longer repairs is just plain dishonest and downright greedy! I will never call them again, and will post this to as many places as I can!!!!!

Jorge is the only plumber we'd recommend. He's worked on multiple projects for us including sprinkler back flows, water heater piping, installing a kitchen sink and a utility sink and disconnecting our old gas heater. He's punctual and very reasonable with his costs! Highly recommended!!

There were two things that I was not pleased with. First, while the gentleman that showed up to our house was very polite, he was not wearing a mask. I met him at the driveway and I was wearing a mask, which should have been a clear indication that he should be wearing one, too. However, he proceeded to enter my home without it and had to be asked to wear one. Second, the price quoted was outrageous, it was in fact four times as much as two other quotes I received. I checked with my neighbor, who is a licensed plumber and works for a well known company, about what would be a reasonable price. When I informed him of the quote and what the gentleman had stated, he almost fainted and thought it was ridiculous. A quote to replace an outside hose bib that froze and burst, should not cost in excess of $800. The gentleman also claimed the area was hard to get to, which is located inside a pantry, and requested a shelf be removed to make his job easier. After three quotes were received, it was clear that One Source's quote was nowhere realistic. We appreciate the time, but it was clear this gentleman was either way over his head, had no clue as to what it takes to replace a hose bib, or was simply to make a killing on what seem like a simple project/replacement. Another well known company came in and replaced it for literally a quarter of the price quoted by One Source.

Not used to having such a reliable, professional company that actually HELPS the customer! Nick was awesome- he installed a new water heater & removed the water softener in a couple of hours & prevented a potential disaster from the old, leaky water heater. Lots of plumbers in this city, but this one is the BEST-you get what you pay for!
