Smith Plumbing was so helpful in getting out hot water heater replaced after it broke. Gavin did an excellent job of installing our new system and making sure everything worked. Would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a water heater replacement

The tech was professional, friendly and explained what she did and what she found. I don't remember her name since it's been 3 weeks and the link to review the tech was not working.

You could not have asked for a more professional plumber. Had them replace the tub faucet diverter and of course it was stuck and not a normal one so after removing it he had to go get one. He had it done in less than 3hours. Excellent job. Had to call again and for a different situation. And just like before could not ask for better service.

Carl was very professional and knowledgeable about the issue we were having. Carmine Tagliere from Smith Plumbing and Heating came over and troubleshot why my outside valve was not working. Within ten minutes, he found the problem. Carmine also pointed out some leaks that needed to be addressed which I will have them fix in the future at a more convenient time. I found Carmine to be a professional and pleasant person to deal with. I highly recommend Carmine and the company he represents.

Edit: After leaving the following review, Mike reached out to us. He wanted to fix the remaining issue of the thermostat. He also assured us, that he had eliminated the sources of these issues within the company.I wanted to love this company because they were so close to home, reasonably priced and woman owned, but we had issues with LITERALLY every aspect of our experience, except for the guy who repaired our drywall (he was fantastic!)For having almost $12,000 worth of work done, it was a painful experience. We had them replace our AC and furnace, add two additional air ducts, clean and seal our air ducts.What should have been a 2 day job, turned out to be drawn out over a month of people coming back to our home to fix things that had not been done correctly.Here's a list of all the things that went wrong...-Random holes drilled in our floors, explained to us as pilot holes for the new vents. (up to 4ft away from where they were to be placed?)-After adding the 2 new ducts, the duct work was not secured and no new registers were placed and the holes were left exposed.-Duct work was not anchored to the ceiling, left resting on electrical wire. (even after bringing this to their attention, it was not fixed, my husband anchored this correctly, otherwise it would have been drywalled over.)-We had recently upgraded our thermostat before deciding to replace our systems and wanted to keep our existing thermostat, it had been replaced and removed from our home and never returned to us.-AC failed inspections for not having a ground wire and not the correct breaker (still haven't had a hot enough day to even see if the AC performs as it should).-We were offered to add another air return near the furnace at no extra cost, but that was not completed because we were told it would make our furnace seem too loud in the basement. Feeling like we were getting a deal by this offer made us feel good in the beginning, but left disappointed when it was not followed through.-TERRIBLE or NO communication from the office what so ever. People would show up at our house for these issues with no notice at all.Spoke with the general manager, Mike, very nice person, listened to all of my concerns. He was very empathetic and apologetic and did make sure most everything was corrected. But even so, the whole thing was SO bad, nothing would make me recommend this company. We do not feel happy about spending our money here.If you do decide to give them your money, just be prepared to do all of your own quality control.

Smith plumbing has always been accommodating and flexible with my needs wether its: duct cleaning, HVAC work or possible quality of life addition they did it in a transparent fast manner

The two gentleman that did by plumbing work were very professional, explained everything that they were having to do and we're extremely courteous. They did run into some complications because of the installation area and they did a wonderful job. I highly recommend this company and I will use them for all of my plumbing needs

I had an appointment to get my AC serviced for the upcoming season. Rudy was awesome and knowledgeable! He took the time to explain in detail the issues my unit was having. He was honest and provided pictures of everything we talked about. I would highly recommend!

The team did excellent work replacing our boiler and adding a water heater on demand., cleaned up, and made sure we were satisfied with their work. Brad gave us information on our AC that we were unaware of and had been told previously by another company that what we had was insufficient for our needs. Mike and his crew did a great job on the installation of our new air conditioner! They were professional, friendly and highly knowledgeable. Mike and crew were quick to respond and make things right when we had problems with our old unit. Turns out, the people who previously installed the unit didn't retrofit our ductwork properly. Mike helped us understand our options so that we could make the right decision and investment in our home. His crew came out and installed our new unit in the blistering heat during the worst heat wave of the summer. They worked so hard! It's obvious the crew wants to do great work and deliver quality products and services. Also, the office crew was very helpful, quick to respond and easy to work with. I highly recommend!

Awesome company for first time users! Naturally I went with the company that caught my eye, and man smiths pinks trucks sure are pros at that! I was thoroughly impressed with each crews cleanup and communication with each other as well the follow up to ensure my electrical was operating fine! Gave great detail of what was included with the new furnace!Jonhathan and team did an excellent job on the furnace installation. Were very prompt, professional and courteous. Also answered any questions I had. Very neat and organized!Had issue with inserting and removing the electrostatic filter in the furnace filter compartment. I phoned the office and spoke to Jodie and explained that the filter compartment was too snug to insert and remove filter. She said she would contact a tech. She called back in less than 5 minutes and said that Francisco would be out to check on the issue I was having. Jodie is very responsive, professional and has great customer service skills!Francisco corrected the issue with the filter compartment rails so the filter could be inserted and removed smoothly. Francisco responded to a previous service call on my old furnance last year. He has been very professional, courteous and prompt each time!Because it's warm now I have not turned on furnace but willl post again when weather is cold to give update on the equipment. I highly recommend this company and personnel. They are all excellent!

We had a fantastic first experience with Smith. Our furnace went out on a Sunday morning, they were out to give us a quote to replace it and add central A/C by Monday afternoon and had the whole system installed by Wednesday - with the exception of the expanded panel they had to wait on CSU for and completed this week. Because of their speed we didn't get any other quotes, but I feel it was worth it for both the efficiency and quality of the service.

Excellent service, Justin went above and beyond compared to the normal AC serving visit we've had in the past from other companies. Excellent value for the quality of service provided. I highly recommend Smith's for all you heating, cooling, plumbing and electrical needs.

What amazing customer service!! We were given the run around by another company last year when our heater kept going out. Each time someone would come out we would be told something else was wrong. We were fed up and called Smith plumbing and heat and from the moment I spoke with dispatch I knew I had made a good decision.James arrived the same day to look at our heater and told us point blank what was wrong and how to best fix it. No sales gimmick or pressure just a person who truly wanted to help fix the problem. His attention to detail was impeccable! He discovered that the previous company had not even been cleaning the heater like they claimed. (We had them come every year to “clean” before turning it on) We will be getting our entire unit replaced in just two short days from now and I can’t wait to finally feel safe turning on my heater this fall/winter. (It’s an older house and have never really trusted the heater) Thank you James!!

These guys are amazing! On time, professional, and don't try to sell you something you don't need. My A/C went out during one of the hottest weeks of the summer. These guys were able to come out quickly and help my family beat the heat. Everyone from the ladies that answered my phone calls, to the technicians that installed the components, were kind and accommodating with my schedule. I highly recommend them!

Extremely pleased with the service and professionalism we got from Smith! From the initial contact and appt setup, to the sales/service appointments that followed, everything was delivered in a timely, informative, considerate, and highly competent manner. Shout out to James Jackson, Smith's point man for us, on making sure we got the furnace system (with financing) that was right for our house and budget, as well as ensuring that his crew's install was outstanding in every facet of the job. You might find a lower price out there, but the axiom remains that you get what you pay for--and in my estimation the cost-quality combo that Smith brings to the table is unbeatable. I highly recommend these guys! (My only complaint, and it's a small one, is that they weren't able to clean the ducts/vents as promised because apparently our house's ducts/vents are too small. Not Smith's fault, strictly speaking, but on the other hand you'd think the tools would exist somewhere to address this contingency, right? :) )

NO SHOW one time & late show one time; and when they did finally show up (after I took ½ a day off work), they didn’t have the parts with them that the scheduler ASSURED me they would have to fix my water heater; extending our time without hot water to more than 4 days. After their first “dropping of the ball” of not showing up until much later than scheduled, and the plumbing parts supplier was then closed; I was given a complimentary “USA Club” membership, where I was told I would be a priority customer. The next scheduled appt, the Smith's plumber never showed up at all. Being a part of their USA priority membership did nothing to help us get hot water. Finally went with a more reliable plumbing company where they showed up and fixed our hot water heater on the FIRST try. I would NOT recommend Smith’s Plumbing and heating for any work.

I have used Smith for all of my HVAC needs and called to request about multiple projects I need done before I move out of my house. Smith refused me service, stating that they don't work with rentals. I tried to explain to them that the house isn't being rented out and would be owner occupied when the work was completed, but they still refused service and didn't give me an explanation for why.

Trust, when searching for someone that will address the issue at hand with integrity and thoughtfulness. That is what I have found in Smith heating. Had the pleasure of working with Karl, he heard my concerns and came up with solutions that address my concerns and will also fit my budget. Never before have I had someone come in listen, and acknowledge my concerns. I am very confident that this company is the best. They want to do what is best for their customer not selling the most expensive product or service. I recommend them highly.

Had Smith Htg come in and inspect my furnace that a previous company said needed replaced Asap and was going to charge me any where from 4000 to 7000 to do. Smith came in and said there is nothing wrong with the furnace matter of fact the older models last longer than the new ones do. Ken didn't even charge me for his time. I will call Smith for now on and encourage all friends and Family to do the same.

Technician (Bob) was very friendly and knowledgeable. It was our first experience with Smith PHC and E and it went quite smooth. Mike(owner), provide a very detailed description of services needed and an accurate, reasonable estimate. Would highly recommend based on my experience so far.

I just want to say that we had both an air conditioning and heating unit installed in our house. Bill was our go to guy for this job. He took care of us and made sure everything got done that needed to get done. There were some hiccups along the way but Smith plumbing worked hard to make sure everything got done the way it needed to get done. The unit has heated and cooled our house well so far. My husband and I were very impressed with the professionalism and overall knowledge of the team who installed our AC, furnace, and cleaned our ducts. The pricing is also extremly reasonable and fair compared to other companies that we spoke with before going with Smith. They did not try and upsell anything or give misleading information like other companies we had received estimates from. We will 100% use them in the future for any home related projects.

Gilbert represented his company well when he completed our plumbing repair. He called ahead when he had opportunity to arrive early. He listened to our report of the problem. He assessed the situation, gave us three options for repair/improvements, and avoided any hard sell tactics. He worked quickly. And he was mindful of our home, wearing booties on his shoes and took care to return the bath mats when the job was done. We are very satisfied with our repair.

Nick came by to check on electrical work. Reassured that everything seemed fine and gave advice on how to resolve the issues.

The people who come to the home have always been great

We had a furnace with a humidifier and UV filtration, and an AC installed in our home... The process was smooth and everything past inspection with flying colors... I had this installed 2 months ago and my house is so cool and comfortable and the air smells so clean and fresh! They cleaned and sanitized my ducts too, which I couldn't believe the amount of junk that was in my ducts!! Excellent customer service, amazing installers that protected my carpet and cleaned up when they were done... I will always have Smith Plumbing and Heating on my speed dial for any plumbing or HVAC needs!! Great family company!

We have used Smith Plumbing and Heating a few times to have our AC serviced. They offer great prices and do not push for unnecessary upgrades. Marion made sure our AC was ready to go for the summer ahead! She was very efficient and professional.

Over the many years I've done business with this Company, the technicians have installed a water heater; furnace with humidifier; central air conditioner; replaced all of the copper piping in my crawl space with the new white plastic tubing (sorry, don't remember what it's called); additionally their technicians perform all necessary service calls in a prompt and timely manner, with utmost courtesy at all times. They are a great Company to do business with.

Extremely disappointed. Our water heater went out yesterday and I called around to a few places to try and get it replaced today. Smith Plumbing and Heating said they could do it today. I asked for a quote and was given a quote of $1,097 plus the $40 permit fee. The technician or in other words salesman showed up as scheduled took some pictures asked questions and then went to his van to get us some quotes as we were interested in both a normal water heater and a tankless one. About 45 min later he came back in with hand written notes of what they had to offer. OMG, the first tankless was $9,997.00! The other tankless quotes were between $4 and $6K! The best quote he had on the 50 gal tank was $1,497! $400 more than the quote I got on the phone. When I mentioned the phone quote the salesman got a bit flustered and called back to the office and did in fact find the person that said the quote she gave was $1097. We were never really given that offer while the salesman was there, but we did ask if they could do it today as promised and they stated they couldn't do it until Wednesday. I then asked the salesman (who we thought was an installer) if he was qualified to install and he said that he wasn't. At that point, I felt duped and we decided that Smith Plumbing and Heating was not what we had seen on their website or on the initial phone inquiry. The salesman was extremely polite and professional and I actually felt sorry for him that he got put in the position he did.UPDATE: Thank you for your reply to my review. I'm sorry you felt torched by it. I felt torched by your company. Ryan was very professional as I stated, however I would recommend that when you send a technician that isn't qualified to do the service that they let the customer know up front that they aren't qualified to do the actual repair. Regarding the $4-6 K estimates, those came from Ryan. He didn't give me a $2997 estimate. The phone estimate for a 50 gal heater was $1097 and I wouldn't have agreed to the $1197 price (I was on speaker phone and both my wife and I heard it). You stated that your company would have installed it the next day, but Ryan stated that the earliest you could do it was two days later. Also, you stated I didn't make a decision until 4pm. Ryan left our house at 1:58 per our home security system. Just for your information, I got it professionally installed the next day. The plumber showed up at 2:30 and was done at 4:30. It passed inspection first time and I paid $1K for the same brand/quality water heater you would have installed. So in the end, I've found an honest and reliable plumber and I know who not to call in the future for any plumbing needs. Thanks for letting me clear up your inaccurate statements.

I've been using Smith plumbing and Heating for a few years now starting with installing central air, updating my breaker panel, installing a generator transfer switch, servicing furnace and central air, and recently installed mini split in garage. As with any company there are going to be some hiccups, but Smith took care of whatever issues they were and made things right to make me happy .

I recommend this business. Greg is professional and friendly. He explains everything you may need to do the project and then the prices. He will not sell you something you don't need. He is very thorough with the job he does.

I was pleased to have a kind person come into my home to repair our problem . the young man gave me details what he found and how he repaired. This young man had manners and I will call this company for any future plumbing issues I get.

I previously wrote a negative 2-star review of Smith's due to some issues with the furnace installation and in the process I purchased their warranty which covers parts and labor. I had the furnace stop working today and scheduled an appoint to have it repaired. A few minutes later the dispatcher called me back to say the owner (Eva) personally cancelled the appointment due to my previous review.

I just had Karl from Smith Plumbing, Heating, Cooling, and Electrical at my house to install a C-Wire correctly and was so impressed by his knowledge and professionalism, I also signed a maintenance agreement with him and Smith PHCE. Sure is nice to deal with an ethical company as opposed to the dumpster fire of One Source Home Service. I would highly recommend looking at all the reviews about One Source and how terrible they are to their customers!! They should not be in business! I highly recommend Smith Plumbing, Heating, Cooling, and Electrical!!!!

I appreciate that Smith Plumbing was able to fit us in for service the day I called. We had a broken outside faucet which required us to turn off the water in the house. Gilbert was very professional, did a great job fixing the issue, and took great care to keep our house clean while doing a great job repairing the issue. I had a ton of issues come from misdiagnosing to misbilling but once I was able to talk to the General Manager, he was able to help me right away and ensure that I had the proper billing and services completed.He took the time to actually listen and fix the legitimate and blatant errors that I was running into.I get running a business is hard work but their GM is as hardworking as they come. He has not only the companies best interest at heart but the customers as well. Go with honest company that values customer satisfaction. They just seem to want to squeeze money out of customers for non existent issues/repairs. Snarky rude replies from “manager” is proof enough this company is unprofessional. Reading other replies manager has even claimed a customer to be racist. They have been reported to BBB.

Josh Friede came to our home promptly at 7 am to determine the problem with our water heater. The technicians, he said would come to install a new water heater, had the day off so he came back and took care of the job himself. Well we had to use Smiths again this time for our plumbing. 2 years ago we used them for our A/C and Furnace.I like Smiths because it's local and they don't speak down to me just because I'm a woman (my husband is always at work during the repairs). In fact, they do a great job explaining stuff to me when I have questions. Nathaniel, Travis, Tristan, Jesus, and Fabi all did a great job with the repipe portion of the job. They were beyond professional and even were sweet and patient to my 2 year old who kept wanting to play and say Hi to them. 🤣 They got their work done quickly and I feel like I have a new house with these brand new pipes. Yay!If I ever have an issue they are great about sending someone immediately. One of my toilets kept running after the install. I called up the office 2 hrs later boom Pete and Chris were here to fix it. Turns out it was a simple fix and Pete showed me what the problem was and how to fix it should I have that problem again in the future. Literally just have to turn a valve.😊Each day of the weeklong project I got a evening call from Freddy to keep me updated on how things were going. There were hiccups along the way but they took care of it and fixed the issue.My only minor suggestion is maybe explain the process beforehand to the customer. I was unaware that Freddy would be calling me each night. I was just told Travis and Tristan were going to be out to start the work and that it would take 3 or 4 days. So in the beginning it felt unorganized but as the project moved forward I realized it was very much organized. I truly appreciate it!

Smith Plumbing and Heating responded immediately to my phone call requesting duct sealing and cleaning, installation of a whole house humidification and air purification system as well as the installation of a utility sink for the laundry room ( thank you Carl !! ). I could not live in my home due to allergies and asthma related problems. My last hope was the installation of air purification for my home. The Smith Heating and Plumbing team of professionals worked to coordinate services and perform the necessary work within days of contacting them. They understood my personal health challenges and worked diligently to help provide the best system possible to help me breathe in my home. I cannot place a value on this kind of service. I am grateful for their compassion and for the excellent quality of service they provided. They were extremely professional and each service provider went beyond what was expected to provide quality services. One of the technicians came out to my daughters home on Falcon and worked on her water heater. Whole he was there he checked to see if she had a Carbon dioxide detector in her home. She did not have one so he installed one for her. Last Saturday morning they woke up to the co alarm going off. If he does not checked for and installed an alarm for her the whole family may not have been alive today. I am so grateful to that tech that came out to her home ! That is one awesome employee you have working there!👏🏼😊

If I could rate a zero, I would.Technician was past the estimate window with no call to let us know he would be late. I had to call and check if he was still coming... he finally came, no apologies.Then the next day he calls and let’s me know that he is on his way to our appt. Confused, I told him that he came to us yesterday and that he said he was following up with us two days later at a specific time. He confirmed the follow up appt. TWICE. Did he come to the follow up appt?... NO! Never even called.If you set times for potential customers to be home, follow through. I understand things happen and schedules can be rearranged. BUT the customer service from this technician was embarrassing.We will NOT even consider service with Smith nor recommend them.

We have used Smith Plumbing on our AC unit and now for a water meter rebuild. They have been extremely responsive when other local companies have not. Pete was at the house today. QUOTED $1,233 FOR REPAIRS, GOT A QUOTE FROM A DIFFERENT COMPANY & PAID $125!!!I received an estimate for my heater to be repaired, the summary of issues entailed replacing the inducer draft assembly, cleaning a blockage in the roof cap and replacing up to 10' of B vent totaling $1233.Considering my heater is only 5 years old - I got a second opinion from T&W Indoor Comfort - and I'm glad I did!They basically did a service for the heater, cleaned it up a bit and charged $125 - this covered the service visit, as well as the cleaning. It's been 2.5 weeks and its running like new.I'm disgusted that this company quoted repairs that were completely unnecessary. If I wouldn't have had a 2nd opinion, I would be out over a thousand dollars!***RESPONSE TO SMITH PLUMBING REGARDING THEIR REBUTTLE -T&W didn't offer me a price I was more comfortable with, they simply did not write up a bogus estimate like you did.Answer me this; if the repairs you said were truly necessary, how did T&W get the heater to work without replacing key parts of the unit?????

Tristan came out to unclog our toilet and it was a super quick job. We tried to do it ourselves and couldn’t fix it and he came out and fixed it with in 10 minutes.

Ist appointment was 10 to 12, called couldn't make it, would be there 3 to 5 did show. 2nd time I had appt 10 to 12, at 10 30 I called & informed them I was on property, they told me it would be like 1 to three, then put me on hold, came back & told me they could no longer do that test & referred me to another company. Want use them again.

Had a new bathroom sink faucet and toilet installed as well as repairs to a shower. The work was expertly done and affordable too. Such caring people. Most of the technicians are very knowledgablech. Rudy is here today fixing a wire that most likely my cat chewed which caused heater to stop working. I am on a limited budget but he of course fixed the problem and made some excellent recommendations. Very personable.

I received a quote from Smith’s Plumbing to install plumbing for a wet bar in my basement, and I was quoted 3 times the amount I got from another plumber who is doing the same work. Smith’s quoted me $3,800 and I just got another quote from a plumber for $1,200 for the same work that took 8 hours. . I have used their furnace and A/C maintenance team to repair and maintain my A/C, and they are reasonably priced though…. EDIT: Because I left a 2 star review, they decided to cancel an A/C tune up (without notifying me) that I had scheduled with them prior to receiving a quote for the plumbing. So now I am leaving a 1 star review because I am stuck trying to get an A/C tuneup in a reasonable time in the middle of the busiest time of year for A/C repairs. They did, however, agree to give me a refund for my “USA Club Membership” after I requested it…

So I had Smith plumbing and heating come out for a quote on a replacement water heater. They were luckyI wasn’t home and my husband dealt with him and hewas leaving as I pulled up. Not only did they give us the highest quote I’ve gotten so far, over $3k, let’s tLk about the sediment trap for a second. Now I know exactly what it is, why it’s important, and oh my gosh is it in the wrong spot ( by that point I’d spoken to 7 other water heater experts). Anyway, he told my husband that just the sediment trap itself wouldcost $900, so first of all google, Lowe’s, Home Depot and those seven plumbers I had mentioned all told me that installing (part included) would cost MAX $100 should guys are charging a 800% mark up, all I can say is wow, you should be ashamed of yourself

We had a pipe burst in our basement during a recent cold snap (December 23) and I called twenty different plumbers that day to no avail. I saw a Smith pink truck on my way home from work that evening and called them to see if there was any chance they could help us. Not only did they respond immediately but they had a plumber at our house 30 minutes later and patched the issue so we could turn our water back on for Christmas weekend. Carmine was pleasant and professional and came back a few days later to complete the definitive repair. We are members of Smith's annual service plan now and highly recommend them!

James Jackson was my tech that came out to look at my AC system and I have to say he was just amazing. He walked me through all the issues he was seeing and actually educating me on how the system works. He got me the best deal he could for a new AC unit and install. I called Smith on Tuesday morning because my ac was not cooling. Wednesday at 2pm I had technician Arthur over promptly and efficiently. He did a thorough look over on the furnace, the compressor and the panels. He trouble-shoot and found the issue. Within 30 minutes I could feel the cool air. Our backbrief and close out was pleasant. Arthur was professional, upbeat and smiling the entire time. He made me feel reassured and I know I can count on him and the Smith team to do a great job.

I had really old cast iron pipes in my small 1946 cottage that needed replacing. I was concerned, being a single woman of being taken for a lot of money by a plumber. These guys laid out exactly what each section would cost and when unforseen obstacles arose, they stuck to their quote. I work and could not be at home and the crew was trustworthy and super polite. I have already given their card to several people and will use them in the future.

Had a clogged bath drain and tried everything to get it to drain and nothing worked so I had to call someone out. I found Smith plumbing online and their website offered a coupon gor $49 to clear any drain! Which was 20 bucks cheaper than the add I heard on the radio. On time, quick and Tristin was very efficient and got our tub draining in no time. 10/10 would reccomend.

Initially there was a bit of a communication/scheduling error - Gavin was supposed to come on May 13 but then his previous job ran late so he rescheduled to May 21; however for some reason it did not save so I had to schedule another appointment for June 7. It worked out in the end because I had two amazing technicians.CARL inspected and repaired my leaking sprinkler system and found the source for a leaking water hose spiget. I didn't end up repairing the water hose spiget at this time as it would call for an entire shower remodel but when I do, Carl is going to be the man I want for the job. Carl showed up early, gave sage advice, and was trustworthy as well as professional. RUDY cleaned and inspected both my AC unit and furnace. He did an incredibly thorough job; I appreciated that he took before and after pictures so I could understand exactly everything he had done. From now on, Rudy is going to be the only one I use to do maintenance on my HVAC systems.

We recently purchased a furnace, air conditioner and hot water from Smith Plumbing and Heating. The install technicians that came out to do the work, John and Ray, were PHENOMENAL. They were knowledgeable, professional, efficient and courteous at all times. They did not slam my door when they went out (it is self closing so you have to catch it or it slams shut), and they were extremely aware of my dogs and cat and not letting them go out when the door opened. They gave a great (and much appreciated) tutorial on how to use the new thermostat and didn't rush through it even though it was 8:30 in the evening and I'm sure they wanted to get home to their families. The whole process from purchase to install was pleasant and professional. I would use them again in a heartbeat and highly recommend them!

This company cost me 3 vacation days from work. The water pressure to my kitchen sink significantly lowered, the rest of the house was fine, and a quick google search shows that the shutoff valve and faucet just needs cleaned.I called Friday and they said a technician would be out on Monday. Monday comes around, they call me and say that their technician had a family emergency and could not come out until the next day (As an aside, can we stop using family emergency as a general excuse for missing an appointment? It's overplayed. Everyone does it). So there's one wasted vacation day.Tuesday comes, and the technician shows up to my house. Extremely pleasant and nice, btw. He spends 15 minutes and explained a few options with their prices, but when I give him my choice, he says alright we can have someone over tomorrow. What!? There's a few things wrong with that.First, I used a vacation day for this. If it was only going to take 15 minutes to get eyes on the problem so they make sure they had all the parts required, they should have had anyone come to the house the previous day as to not waste it. Second, They should have at least been prepared to fix the most likely problem. As previously stated, a quick Google search could have said what needed to happen. Finally, since it is generally expected when calling a plumber for a minor issue that they fix it when they arrive, it should have been communicated that the first visit was simply a meet and greet. It extremely inconsiderate to expect people to plan their whole day around this when they knew that they were not going to fix the problem.I am very disappointed with the business practices of Smith Plumbing. I feel that I was mislead and preyed upon. They wasted my time for no reason or regard and instead of using 1 vacation day to have a plumber into my home, I have to use 3 days. Additionally, since I will be calling a different company to clean my shutoff valve and faucet, my kitchen will be without water for almost 2 weeks. Shame on you, Smith Plumbing!

Willy and andrew were both professional during the install and very knowledgeable. Just neede to recheck the work to insure all is correct. Left a gas line hand tight and stated leaking had to have carmine come out and retighten the connection. He was professional and knowledgeable also.

I had a leak in my basement and no one knew where the leak was coming from. So I called up these guys and they came out and pin point the outside water faucet was faulty almost immediately and that was what’s causing the leak inside the house. We ordered a new water line and he installed it that same week. No more leak. Awesome work! Saves me tons of money.

While out and about we saw two of Smith's pink vans which caught our attention. Smith's quickly scheduled an appointment for a technician to come out provide estimates. The technician was very professional and pointed out some items that weren't quite up to par as we had thought they were based on the homeowner's inspection prior to buying the house relating to our AC and furnace systems. We ended up adding replacement of the AC and furnace system to our list of work to be done. The estimates provided by Smith's were very competitive and we were able to have all of the work completed in a single day. All of the teams that worked on our project were very professional and great to work with. I will definitely continue to use Smith's for all of my AC, heating, plumbing, and electrical needs and recommend them. Great job and team!

This would have been my first time using their service however it never happened. I had originally scheduled for Tuesday from 3-5pm. I received a call later in the time window stating the tech would not be able to make it and we rescheduled for today Friday May 1st. I was given a window of 8-10 am and would be the first appointment of the day. I planned on going into work later in order to wait for the tech. Here we are at 10 and no call with no update. I decided to call and they stated they would ask the tech for an update. The tech stated he would be at my house within 20-30 min. Unfortunately, I had to cancel because I planned the tech to arrive within the window I received which was not the case. I feel like I got the run around and was inconvenienced twice. I’ll take my service elsewhere.

Before the tech even got scheduled the scheduler did a great job of listening to my issue and finding a tech who could support my AC and my water heaters to avoid multiple service calls. It was greatly appreciated!Karl was so precessional and did a great job! He walked me through everything as he was checking it and pointed out where I needed to monitor filters to keep the system working well. Karl was very knowledgeable and answered every question even about my water heaters which he was not servicing. When he left I felt empowered to maintain my home and feeling like I have knowledgeable support when maintenance or repairs are needed. He was also great with my kids and left the work space cleaner than he found it.

Ashley cleared my bathroom sink drain on her own as a trainee and did an incredible job. They both also gave me a little background info on how they each came into the business. We had called Smith to come out and replace the water heater and fix some plumbing underneath the house back in March. They did not finish the job completely and never came back to finish so I called them to come out and finish what was needed to be done. They came out and partially finished again and I had to have them come out AGAIN to finish what I was completely OVERCHARGED for. My husband and I are first time home buyers so all of this was pretty new to us. Well June comes around and we are in the middle of selling the house and our realtor tells us that we are supposed to have an orange tag on our water heater saying it was cleared by regional. We had no idea!! So I call Smith Plumbing back and tell them that they still have yet to have regional come out and clear the work done and they persist to give me an excuse saying regional was 6 MONTHS OUT!!! I was furious!! So our realtor contacts regional and asks what’s going on and they never even got a permit to come out and check! SMITH NEVER CALLED IT IN AND MADE AN EXCUSE THAT THEY WERE 6 MONTHS OUT TO TRY TO COVER THEIR BUTTS!!! Even my realtor called Smith to tell them to have regional to come out. So after multiple phones calls of trying to get regional out here, they finally come out and say that Smith plumbing installed a mobile home water heater and the couplings underneath the house were incorrect, they weren’t going to clear it! So Smith then again had to come out and swap out water heaters and fix their work underneath. 3-4 of the worst months I have ever had experienced with a company. I wouldn’t even recommend Smith Plumbing to my worst enemy that’s how bad it was… the only reason they even get one star is because they did finally get the work done and regional cleared it.

Our furnace was running for a while and not heating up. We called and James Jackson came out. He diagnosed the problem, found more problems, documenting them with pictures along the way. We sat and talked options. What may be best and what may be most affordable are not often the same and with the age and conditions of items around this house we figured it best to make an investment. He explained all the options available helped us decide on the right fit and got financing done on the spot. He was able to keep us with heat and the new systems should be installed in a few days! Love the great service and the pink trucks!

I had a small leak in my bathroom they came to fix it and did a great job while they worked we talked at how my air had been seemingly not as clean. They told me of how I should change my filter every 3 to 6 months along with having the vents cleaned. I will you them again thanks sam

Hello,The 1 star rating had nothing to do with the technician as you have assumed. He was very professional and we had no problems with his service. My issue is with the fact that the AC was working fine prior to having the first technician come out. We never had any issues then after that we had nothing but issues. Like the fact that the AC unit was never reconnected and started to freeze up. Hopefully this will help. Thanks

The estimate for a sewer main replacement was little more than a hard sales pitch. I was told what a disaster my lines were and that everything had to be replaced or else. Thank god I got more quotes because that was all incorrect. Quote was 3x higher than the next competitor and 5x higher than who I went with

We had several appointments (to have a backed-up kitchen sink repaired) canceled or rescheduled by this company, all at the last minute. Very frustrating at best, after taking off time from work to meet them. Our experience with them unfortunately found them to be very unprofessional and unreliable.

Needed a plumber because we had no water pressure in our house. Brian told us our pressure regulator was bad, replaced it the same day and fixed us good as new. Very happy with the service and repair, would recommend and will call Smith if we ever need a plumber again. Will also call them when we need to replace our furnace.

These folks were wonderful. Did major plumbing repair/replace and upgraded/relocated the electrical panel. There were a couple of small snafu's with scheduling but they worked to resolve these errors. Polite and responsive. It was fairly expensive but the other 2 companies I met with did not inspire confidence. I recommend this company.

Installed A/C. Initial install went well but they were in organized when they said they were going to come back and out more coolant in the spring. A guy showed up but he never talked to me when he got here so not sure what he did to the units

A little pricey over the weekend. But the technician Josh came quickly, found the leak we had and fixed it, and gave suggestions on what to do for mitigation.

3 weeks ago I stopped by Smith Plumbing & Heating to check on getting my furnace in my garage checked out and visited with a nice guy at the counter named Karl, he listened and answered all of my questions and gave me options and told me about a Ultimate Service Plan that had many perks. I told him that i'd have to think about it and he said no problem and no pressure, just let us know if you decide. Fast forward 3 weeks when I come home to find my home furnace not working so I call Smith Plumbing & Heating and tell the agent my situation and i'd like to join the Ultimate Service Plan and he says i'll put you on the schedule which it was 5:00pm, within minutes I get a call from a technician saying he's on his way. When he arrives it happens to be Karl Kolb (Technician #002) which i'd visited with 3 weeks earlier. Within minutes he diagnoses that the ignitor is bad and he has a new one on his truck and after replacing it he notices that it is staying on after ignition and shows me the issue, he finds that the computer board is bad and also has a new one on his truck and replaces it and shows me the way that it works correctly after the repair. Karl was professional, very knowledgeable, skillful, personable and patient explaining and showing me the issues. I would highly recommend Karl Kolb (Technician #002) and Smith Plumbing & Heating. Update 10/4/22Tristen was back at my house today and did a wonderful job, once again. Highly recommend them.Tristen was a great plumber who helped us out of a jam, very professional and inexpensive.I also had the electrician Estevan who was just as polite and provided excellent service.

Justin did a great job servicing my AC. He was professional, on time, and gave me straight forward no pressure options.

Smith's plumbing was very friendly, professional, and quick. There were some minor things that came up during the replacement of a 45 year old base board hot water boiler and 21 year old water heater with a single tankless, on-demand system. The techs listened to our questions/concerns and answered them clearly. The was completely done in two days. During the course of the install, they alerted us to some other issues that really needed to be addressed. We are using Smith's to correct these other issues. They got us on the schedule for three days from now! Which is great because our washer cannot be used until the other issues are fixed.

Not only did I receive prompt service, but I was greeted with a tremendous amount of knowledge and expertise from James Jackson. He showed his passion for the craft and really instilled confidence in me when he was doing his work. I will absolutely be working with this company again in the future.

Called numerous plumbers then came across this company and was super happy withthe price so i stopped calling around and scheduled an appt for today well i got called into work explained to my 18yr old son where it was and to have the snake through the main line. Well the guy comes out looks aroundand calls in a resteration team but doesnt snake the line but takes the money and leaves i come home to a resteration team which i did not need so i call the company and all there going to do is refund me guess they dont snake lines and i didnt appriciate them calling another company to come to my house and try to charge me for something that is already being taken care of

Needing a sewer cleanout installed and was told that somebody will be out between 8 and 11. Nathan, the man who came out was here only minutes past 8, really wasn't expecting such prompt service, but was very satisfied. He was very helpful and knowledgeable about his career. I really couldn't ask for any better customer service then what was already displayed and am very sure by what I've already seen that their work will be second to none. I want to recommend Smith Plumbing Heating and Cooling to everyone!I have been using Basset Heating and Cooling for close to 5 years but this last tune up they performed caused me to get a 2nd opinion. The Basset Tech did his a/c tune up and afterwards informed me that at a minimum I need a new compressor and gave me quotes that ranged from 1.5k to 8k. Just didn’t seem right based upon the age of my system.I call Smith Plumbing Heating and Cooling and they performed their inspection and found that a wire from the compressor to the capacitor (believe that is what it’s called) was not connected. Connects the wire finishes his inspection and now my A/C system is running well. The Tech was knowledgeable and ethical, these guys are clutch. Thank you

He was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions without me having to ask them first....I don't normally come across technicians that are so willing to explain and share their knowledge. He made me feel comfortable, had great customer service skills, and truly cared about helping me with my issue, not just showing up to get a job done. Chris was courteous. He wasn't able to finish job because he didn't have the required filter on hand. Waiting on Smith's to call back to schedule a time for the filter install.Smith's didn't call back to reschedule the filter replacement. This was an error on the scheduler and not Chris. One month later, I had to call and Smith acknowledged their error.The filter was replaced today. Chris was very helpful and helped me learn how to check and replace the filter myself.

When I decided to try Smith's USA program, it was a good move. They have replaced a defective electrical panel, a defective sewer system, unplugged drains, installed faucet and toilet, cleaned our HVAC ducts, did preventive service on the HVAC system and more. With the USA program, I have saved on trip fees and emergency charges. All their employees have been courteous, professional, and respectful of the cleanliness of our home. They will take the time to explain what they're doing and answer your questions. All things considered, I think they give a good value for the money, and I intend to keep using their services.

They came out to clean the air ducts the previous owners to my house really put like a lot of trash into the air ducts but they cleaned them and sanitized them and they where super nice.

I had call to get my furnace check before the Winter season started, they were supposed to come out today and just received a call stating that someone had called out sick, so they needed to reschedule me, not tomorrow but 21 days from now. Since I wasn't the one who had to reschedule I should have been put 1st on the list and they move everyone else back

Gilbert Ganzer from Smith Plumbing Heating an Air ran a quote for work needed to fix a wall hydrant at $787.50. Patterson Plumbing Heating and Air had run a quote for the same work, totaling $2187.62. I'm much happier paying 64% less for the same work!

Smith Plumbing replaced a 25 year old furnace, installed a central AC system and then replaced a hot water tank. All work was necessary. Pricing was in line with other estimates. Personnel were very respectful, always on time and finished all work on time and on budget. I needed some additional instruction on the new control panel. That was quickly and professionally provided. I highly recommend Smith Plumbing. Everything they have done at my home has been done well.

We had a very satisfying experience with Ridley Carson team. Her team is a very pleasant, knowledgeable they upgrade our electrical panel. We would not hesitate to hire him again and probably will.

I am a disabled and medically retired former law enforcement and Military on a fixed income. When I talked to the guy the day before he made it sound it wouldn't be much of a problem but we knew what the problem was, we had a general contractor tell us what the problem was. He explained how much it would cost to fix and then to contact a good plumber. it should have costed to fix $200 $95 in parts and then of course the labor at $85 an hour. that at least would have been Fair.....but no not this company they go one step further and charges you double at $400 sitting that their costs have gone through the roof and so they have to pass that on to the consumer.! Really ? How very nice of them to beat the consumer to death just so they can make a profit. The best part is if you don't use their service then you still have to pay a $59 service fee for them just showing up the repair then explains to me that the $59 for 10 minutes. To be honest with you this company's not worth your time or effort there's other ways to go than to be criminalized by a company who puts themselves first over the clientele. How do you sleep at night? we will never use them again and taking $60 just to show up when I showed him what the problem was is unethical at best.

Aubrey was very professional and able to get me on the schedule the same day. Josh and Travis arrived an hour ahead of our scheduled time frame, but waited for me to return home from an errand. They gave me a quote and after some discussion with the office was reduced. I was surprised that they didn't have the material, especially since I had told the office the materials I wanted to used for the replacement. I specifically asked for copper pipe and was disappointed when they returned from picking up the supplies with pex, especially given the higher price they charged. That, and siting the quality of their work of above others.I waited almost 1 hour for them to return with the materials, but the job itself was done in less than 10 minutes. The invoice was vague and didn't detail the service or materials used. Overall, I was satisfied that they showed up on short notice and got the job done.

I really wanted to write a good review for this company. Back in January we booked them to fix our leaky bathtub. They never showed up for our first appointment, and they apologized and sent someone else out the next day. The second try they were barely here before the time window was over. They did try their best to fix the issue and tried to make it up to us. So, when our garbage disposal broke last week, I gave them another chance. Today we had a window of 1-3 pm for a technician and the guy just showed up at 4:08pm as the new company I called was leaving. I only know he showed up because I saw him talk to the other company from my window. He never called. I never heard from Smith today. The other company, Mr. Rooter, was booked but they fit us in and showed up within 15 minutes when Smith Plumbing and Heating didn’t show up or call. Such a bummer that this didn’t work out but now I have a new plumber!

It’s hard to find a company that has quality service & great prices but that’s exactly what we got with Smith Plumbing, Heating & Cooling! After a frustrating few months of dealing with the “other guys” poor service and or high priced quotes. My wife seen one of the big pink Smith trucks and noted it was a woman owned company so she called. We are sure glad we did! One of their technicians came to our home, not some pushy salesman, reviewed everything with us and we were shocked that they were half the price of the other companies lowest quote. The other guys priced at $13,000 and Smith’s with the same exact equipment (I checked) at $6,497 and we got a free whole house duct cleaning and sanitizing included. We also decided to upgrade our old 40 gallon water heater to a tankless Navien on-demand water heater on special for only $2,900. Their prices were so good we were concerned that maybe the quality of work would be lacking but again we were pleasantly surprised as their installers and technicians were courteous, polite and did a super job! We highly recommend Smith’s to anyone wanting great service at a great price!

First and last time. If you think $2100 - $2700 for a 40gal gas hot water heater installation is a good price, then Smith is for you. I was charged $200 for a new, unnecessary gas line and $200 for a new, unnecessary shutoff valve. Last the technician installed after/outside the 4hr time block I was given. Live and learn.

I am the process of doing an entire overhaul of the old outdated sewage in an older home that I just purchased. The young men who came to my house for the service were exceptionally good. They were thorough with the projects we needed done, and even though I coudn't get up into the attic they took pictures to show me the wwork they had done. Smith did SO much for us. After having another company's shaudy job back up on us (literally) I called Smith because of the pink vans because that's who I could remember.Nathan and Pete came out to take a look at what was going on, they went through everything and found the root (hahaha...) of the problem. We not only still had tree roots (after having it rooted the month before by the other company), we had a busted pipe and a few other issues that needed to be taken care of sooner than later.Nathan and Pete were super professional and fielded all the questions we had. Smith was able to get to work the next morning, replacing seventy foot of pipes and install the new water line in one day, getting us back up and going in less than 24 hours.The men who did the work, Carlos and Jesus, were wonderful, super respectful and professional. We had Smith do the sewer repair, a new waterline, a new water heater (ours was 30+ years old...), redid our seized up shut offs.We will be working with Smith and Nathan again in the near future! This review is very overdue since we bought our new furnace, AC, air filter, and whole home humidifier in November but it is better late than never! They have also installed a new water heater and sump pump. We have been very happen with our new equipment and have noticed that our 3 level house is more evenly heated and cooled. Mike could not have taken more time answering every question we had before we made the investment. The installation went well and Mike stopped by to show us the new control panel even though it was well into the evening. I am sorry that I am unable to remember the names of the installation team!I do want to thank Marion for her compassion and empathy. When she came to do our 6 month service, our dog had recently passed away and she was extremely understanding and finished her quickly and efficiently.

Today we had electrical work done by Estevan, he was awesome! Our appt time was early in the morning and towards the end of our service window I received a call from the office saying we're on schedule but a bit after the time frame given. Then received a call from Estevan saying he was on his way and eta, he arrived just as advised. He listen to our vague issues and banthered with good humor. He was quick and efficient, Ihad an estimate froma different company that was going to replace loads of things, Estevan checked the 3 outlets that weren't working and found an additional outlet that was done incorrectly and had failed at somepoint. He fixed that and plated it as we didn't need that outlet, which then made it so the other 3 on the circuit work as the should. Clean, friendly and great service. Highly recommend👌👍

I had Smith install central air in my home and they for starters were priced better than the other bids I received and were very professional. Based on my experience with my air conditioning I also had them do the electrical and mechanical when I finished my basement. I have no complaints and everything passed regional inspection and again price was competitive. I would definitely recommend Smith.

Excellent work getting soft water working. Poor response with providing maintenance review of newly installed central air and heat. Appointments continuously missed and changed after giving me time block. Service promised and to be provided after purchase is rated poor. I asked for a maintenance manual for the water softener and one has not been provided. At this time I will not recommend Smith to anyone. My air and heat has yet to be inspected as promised. At this time, my rating is excellent for install and poor for follow up.

Have to admit, I was off to a shaky start with this company. Appointments were made and continually rescheduled. More than a bit frustrating. An appt set for between 10 and 12 actually took place at 3:30. Turns out a part was not in and technician was waiting until time frame it was supposed to be in.Arthur spent several hours working on my boiler. Problem solved. Almost. Still no hot water 4 hours after he departed with the assurance he would be back the following Monday with a new ignitor. Arthur had left me his number and asked me to call if there was still an issue. Sadly, I had to call him and Saturday morning, bright and early, there he was. When he couldn't figure out the problem, he called a superior to come help out. I was impressed that he asked for assistance. He kept reassuring me, they would figure it out and not leave me in the lurch. Problem was solved. No extra charges. No additional parts needed. Arthur kept me informed throughout. This company trains their employees well and the employees treat their customers like family, or at least that is how I felt. Much gratitude to all involved.

Sales rep Tim came to the house and followed up with an email quote. The quote contained three different scenarios. We chose the cheapest one and they said they would be out Saturday to install. Saturday morning we received an email from Mike Robinson who said they were declining our business with absolutely no explanation or apology. We were in quite a bind since our water heater was no longer working and they left us in a lurch since it was now the weekend. Extremely poor and unbelievable. We were provided with a written agreement and they completely dishonored that agreement.

I called Tuesday morning before work & was told the earliest appointment was Friday. They quoted $57.00 'dispatch fee' that would go towards any repairs needed.I selected the 2:00-4:00 pm time frame because of my work schedule.On Friday about 11:18 am TWO trucks showed up in front of my house.They both sat there for an extended period of time. Finally, I sent my son out to verify if their service call was for us. (Yes.)There was a black man in a pink shirt (who never introduced himself) and Wilie (who couldn't be bothered to button up his shirt.)NEITHER of them explained that one was in training. I didn't like that at all. (Learn on someone else's project.)They both entered my house and looked at the leaking pipe. Then Willie went out to the truck & sat there. The black man went out and after a LONG TIME they both came back with my 'service options.'I was speechless. Their quote was OVER $2000! I didn't need/want a bathroom remodeling... I also didn't need or want a new faucet etc. etc.Good grief! What I DID need was about 8 inches of pvc pipe & a p joint.Obviously, I disputed their 'options' and told them point blank that I felt like they were cheating me.I knew the repair was going to be more than the $57.00 but over 2K?! Come on.Because I needed the repair & didn't have any other plumbers at hand- I told them to do the most basic. It still cost me about $400. For what is roughly $15.00 worth of parts.The connection is crooked. He didn't use the purple gel stuff to seal the joint. It was still leaking when he said he was 'done.' He tightened the ring and said it was guaranteed for a year. Just call back if I have any issues with it.😳Wow.How sad.

Just had an estimate done. Rudy was very good and honest. He was up front about costs and different types of systems for install. If you're looking for a place that install and help with finance options, Smith is a good way to go.

We originally selected Smith based on the value and their professionalism. There did end up being a communication issue that led to me sending a complaint to them. I was contacted the following day by the GM who came out right away to see the problem. He called me soon after leaving our house to present a solution, which involved replacing the AC unit. I assumed he would need to order equipment and get us on the schedule so I told him to call me when he had a date. He said No, this is happening tomorrow. We don't want unhappy customers. They were at my house first thing the following morning and had the issue resolved before noon.That is 5 star customer service!

As a retired HVAC Contractor of 30 years, I have never had a more pleasurable experience with another company than I have with Smith Plumbing, Heating, Cooling and Electrical. I want to send a shout-out to Ryan and Francisco for their amazing patience with my questions and handling of my concerns. I purchased a heat and air conditioner unit on 20 Apr 2020. The first team showed up on time, expertly set up the system, and thoroughly cleaned up. Afterwards, 2 quality checks (one to check on the installation and the other to check up on customer satisfaction). Through it all Ryan kept a pulse on things and monitored the process as if this were his home. Shortly after, I noticed some issues with the air system and Smith's Company sent out techs to recheck the system. Ryan followed up again. As it turned out, I was the problem. In my mind, under 65 degrees is cold but this is not how an air conditioner works. Francisco noticed that I just did not understand that 70 degrees, for example, does not mean summer weather in the house when the air is on. He took time to explain parts that are affected when the temperature drops too quickly. He was sensible and tactful when he realized the misunderstanding. The whole process was smooth and educational. Rock On!!!

We had a whole house steam humidifier installed. Service and quality was wonderful! We definitely recommend them and will use them again.

We had our furnace serviced by Smith. The technician called to let me know when he would be arriving during our time window, and arrived minutes later. He did slip on his booties, and explained what he was going to do. He took lots of pictures of the furnace, inside and out. He completed the maintenance and told me what could be improved to extend the life of the furnace. He also emailed me the estimate and photos. He was professional, courteous and caring.

This was a while back but I need to WARN folks. I had called and asked for an estimate price. They said it would be if I remember correctly about $29.00. I said great. The young man comes and looks at a few things on my aging heater and says it will be about $9,000 for a new one and I need that. I said no I just want to fix and he says we will not do that. I said ok and here is the $29.00 and he said no,now that he had looked at it it will be a lot more money. 10 minutes and he did very little looking at anything except to try to convince me it was useless. The figure was around $200 if I remember correctly. I said no way. He said the $29 was just to get to my driveway. LITTLE OLD LADIES BEWARE. I called Michael’s Plumbing and they fixed for $450.00. No problems since.

Had coupon for $29 Miliitary to clean AC unit. Ended up costing me $194. Same day had requested a price for installation of a water heater. They didn’t say it was going to cost me anything. Costed $118 would have been more but they gave me a break haha… ad listed it for $1,299.00 was quoted $13,000! Said nope then he took it down to $8,000 with financing at $85 a month for 15 years so probably close to 13,000 again for less service. Not the way to treat military. I’m guessing they are told to upsell upsell upsell because when I said no the guys seem to get very irritated and I wouldn’t pay $13,000 for a water heater! Won’t ever have them come back beware

It’s never ideal to be told that you need to spends thousands of dollars on a new HVAC system, but I was very happy with the service and responsiveness of the Smith Plumbing, Heating and Cooling team. Tony and his counterpart were respectful in our home, and worked hard to get everything set and ready for our family. We had our AC unit give out on a Sunday, had a tech on Monday and replaced by Thursday. Highly recommend going with these guys!

I do home remodeling and I am doing a friend a favor and doing his house in Colorado Springs, I don't know anyone so I got three quotes from long term reputable plumbers one has been here 55 years, Smith Plumbing was $6000.00 higher than the other two, I don't appreciate FU bids. SINCE YOU CALLED ME OUT. Jolly was at $12,795.00 and you were at $18,793.00 I have both quotes and here you go. I don't play your passive agressive games you emailed and texted me for a review, and thats my review.

Annual heating system maintenance service was done by tech Jonney Walker. He was very courteous and informative about all aspects of work being done as well as recommended services. He was able to answer all questions that I had during the service call. I have used Smith for various needs and have always been very satisfied with all techs who have been to my home. Excellent service overall!

So, we had what we thought was a clogged pipe on a Saturday. I thought I would be able to unclog it with a snake from HD. Unfortunately, after a few tries and a lot of frustration I called Smith Plumbing. They were able to get a plumber out within a few hours. Arsenio came out on a Saturday evening and diagnosed the problem. It was a lot more than a clogged pipe. We had a broken cast iron sewage pipe leading to the septic tank which was located under the concrete foundation. Arsenio proceeded to explain everything to us and get to work. He brought a team of people everyday until they were able to get all the concrete up and replace the pipe. Since our house was being tore up, we figured we would run a gas line and have some electrical work done as well. Arsenio did a great job getting all the work completed to include permits all the way to drywall repair. Arsenio also communicated with us every step of the way, which is not always the case when getting your house repaired. Arsenio was professional, courteous, knowledgable and a hard worker. Smith Plumbing and Arsenio bailed us out of a jam and didn't gouge us on the price even though they knew we were dead in the water. I would recommend them for anyone who needs plumbing, gas line or electrical work. Great company to work with!

Nick was my tech for today's job. I had a short somewhere in my house that caused an outage. First, he called me early asking if I minded him being early to the job. I of course wanted to get it resolved asap so I thought that was perfect. He spent overall about an hour at my house and quickly diagnosed the issue and explained it in great detail so that I could understand. After the time he spent with me the job itself was far less than competitors in the area for a simple visit so I was incredibly pleased. I have not used them before but I promise you I'll be asking for Nick on any future electrician needed work. Thanks Nick!

If you want HVAC installed they do great work. If you want to rip your hair out because their scheduling department is HORRIBLY disorganized they also do great work. More often than not they will call and tell you they will be there at 8 am and show up at 2 pm. OR they will tell you they will be there at 4 pm so your entire day is planned around that and show up at 2pm. OR they will show up on days not scheduled with no heads up. -literally all of these have happened. Anyone can install a HVAC system but not everyone can drive you completely insane with their surprise visits!

10-22-2020 I highly recommend Smith plumbing and heating, NO high pressure sales gimmicks. No bells no whistles.I had trouble with my home sewer backing up. Had the sewer line camera inspected and discovered tree roots intrusion and had damaged the line. Steve (Tech lead) gave me multiple estimates on the spot that included not only the sewer repair but also, concrete slab replacement as well as an optional tree removal and yard work of which I liked the options to choose from.It was very extensive work from Day 1. Smith plumbing coordinated the necessary permits and Colorado Springs Utilities to prep the work site before excavating my property. Tech Lead Steve promised my home would have running water and a temporary sewer connection on the same day and he kept his promise. Steve and his crew were on sight around 8:00am with all equipment and didnt leave the deep trench till 9:30pm when they finally made the sewer connection with the new material. A small detail, the crew also put a tarp on my yard for the excavated dirt that was dug up, safety taped the work site and placed plywood on the long trench before they left the work site.I want to acknowledge the crews Professionalism and empathy, The plumbers Tunnel Rats: Steve, Arsenio, Heath, Vincent, Excavators: Jesus, Chase and Concrete Crew: Chris, Carl, Tyrone. A pat on the shoulder to all of them and to Smith Plumbing Owners Eva and her husband for maintaining a work ethic standard to their employees. Rudy came out the same day I called and was able to get our heat back on. He also did a thorough check of our system and showed us a few things that needed our attention. I have never had an issue with Smith Plumbing and Heating and we’ve had to use them A LOT for our house. At one point, the old cast iron plumbing pipes under my house crumbled and collapsed, so they had to take a jackhammer to my basement to remove and replace the pipes. Smiths technicians were nothing but hard working and professional and the work was done in a timely manner and they put my basement back together like they were never even there. Recently my indoor AC was leaking and the technician was able to fix it and recommended an upgrade to the drainage (which we got) and he was also timely, professional, and courteous. We will, without a doubt, continue to use Smith Plumbing and Heating for all our plumbing and HVAC needs.

Great experience they went above and beyond to accommodate us. Came out the same day I called and right before a holiday weekend. Worked with James Jackson he was very upfront and honest. Central Air went out as it has every year since building this house 5 years ago. Had many different companies come out and repair and replace different parts. James came and didn't bs us was straight forward which we appreciate. Unit was too small for the home and was not installed right which is why we keep having the same problem every year. He could of did as the rest and fixed and left but he explained the real issue. Got us the right size unit at a good price. Easy to set up appointment, they came same day to diagnose and fixed AC next day! Karl K was early for each window and they were very communicative! We've used Smith for tune ups and repair/install.

Neil was very knowledgeable, he quickly figured out what was wrong and spoke with me about some things to keep in mind moving forward. He also looked at a few things that were separate concerns at the same time and cleaned up my outside unit and indoor coils for me. He was kind, friendly and personable.

Neil came into my home and just spoke to me and clued me in on what he was doing. He also highlighted that i had certain things available to me as a member who is signed up. He offered to help me with scheduling a visit with another department. In servicing my unit he discovered that i had something disconnected and i realized it was due to another company who worked on my furnace. These folks have been in my home 3 times in the last year for different issues and I feel comfortable knowing that they are there.

We had to have our pipes replaced between Christmas and New Years - not an ideal time. Everyone was very professional. Tyrone is AMAZING. He and his crew did the physical labor. Tyrone was always the first to arrive and the last to leave. He did everything he could to make sure we had water for the night. We've had a lot of people work on our fixer-upper, but nobody has outworked Tyrone. He's impressive. Freddy in the office is also wonderful. Texting makes communication quick and easy. Bonus: USAA covered 2/3 of the price which was amazing since it was expensive. We would highly recommend Smith Plumbing - especially Tyrone.

Carmine and Tristen just left my house and they were professional, concise and very quick to help unclog a drain. They are extremely focused on customer service and their fee was very fair. Give them your business and they will exceed your expectations. They even cleaned up after themselves and cleaned my bathroom for me. They earned my repeat business.

I needed maintenance work done on my furnace. The tech was polite and professional. I was given a quote for a cleaning that would cost around $400. I scheduled the cleaning and different tech came to do the work. He said based on the pictures of the previous quote alone he could tell a part needed to be replaced that would cost another $400. The total cost was now $800. Because the total cost was such a wide range between techs I got a second opinion. Alright Plumbing and Heating was quick, professional and polite they did the cleaning for $108. They said the part didn't need to be replaced. It's been 4 months and my furnace is working great. It's really shady that a quote can vary that much depending on which tech you get, they're services are WAY overpriced.

We purchased a new heating/ac unit from Smith. The project estimater came on a Monday and workers were here on Wednesday to install the system. Special thanks to Sam who stayed until 8:30pm getting the system installed and operating. The installation team was very professional and dedicated. In addition, communication with the main office was very prompt and attentive. I would highly recommend Smith Plumbing for your heating and AC needs.

Had Smiths replace a furnace and install an air conditioner. The installation itself went smoothly and I have no complaints. My larger issue is the attention to detail at the end of the installation.The first issue was hooking the AC up to the electric panel. They told me I needed to buy a $7k electric panel from them for it to work, even though the initial inspection said the panel was fine. When I requested they remove the AC and refund it, miraculously the electric panel was fine and they could hook it up.Next came the inspection for the furnace. I needed more air for the furnace to function, so I requested they vent within the house to prevent drafts and pests from entering. Walked outside to find they cut 2 large holes in the exterior wall. The damage was already done so I asked if the vent they were installing was water proof and pest proof. It was neither. I taped screens to it to prevent insects from entering, but water came into my basement the first rainfall. The image attached was their solution. Now I have this attached to the side of my house...If you need replacement or minor jobs, I'd say Smiths is good, but if they need to do any finesse work (drywalls, touch up, etc) I can't recommend them based on my experience.Update: I was not aware I could call the owner directly. I could not find contact information on the website or through my project manager.

Worst plumbing company ever!! They overcharge for everything. I had a pipe freeze and bust and they quoted me 4k without even knowing how bad it was. Once we had the wall opened up to the busted pipe they still wanted to charge me 4k. I called a second company for a second opinion and he charged me $180 to replace the break. Smith's plumbing and heating is a scam! Do NOT use them!

I had a furnace and a/c unit installed by Smith in the summer of 2019 and never got scheduled for my 1 yr courtesy heater inspection/tuneup. I called them and told them and without hesitation they scheduled me for this month. John the service tech came out on time and was very professional and knowledgeable. He was pointing out some important details on my furnace and let me watch his inspection. He did an outstanding job and I was impressed as usual. I love this company. I had many great technicians come out today to service my house, but this review is mainly for Josh F. Josh came out to my home because of my concerns I had with my rental property. Great customer service skills. He was very helpful and knowledgeable. Answered all of my questions, and if he didn’t know the answer, he would call someone to confirm instead of making something up and giving you the wrong info. Fountain has horrible water quality and I knew I would needed a water purification system for the whole house to prevent my pipes from bursting with all of this calcium build up and spend thousands of dollars on repairs in the long run. Josh quoted me on their NOVO 485 HTO water purifier which is a water softener and carbon filter. Other companies quoted me anywhere from 6,000-10,000. One company wanted 8,000 for just a carbon filter! Smith’s beat their competition by a long shot. I also added additional services such as duct cleaning, coil cleaning, and installed a 24v air purifier that removes odors and provides an efficiency of 97% for particles down to 0.3 Microns in size (shout out to the other techs who helped service my home). With military discount and membership savings, it was all worth it and A LOT cheaper than the other companies that has quoted me for all the above. Highly recommend getting a quote with Smith’s and doing business with this company. But remember, you get what you pay for. Research different brands and the quality of the products they use and you’ll see the difference in pricing’s compared to others.

Came out for an electrical panel estimate. Their prices were 2.5 times the average of the other four estimates I received. They estimated $12-$14k, which is ridiculous. I went with a company that was able to do it all for $4,700.

I installed AC for the first time in my home and researched a lot of companies in the sprigs. They were upfront about pricing and offerings, were fairly priced, had good financing options, and were fast to get me on the schedule. The install team worked hard and were professional, and they answered all my questions while making sure I was comfortable with the system. I would absolutely recommend them!

Very helpful, straight to the point , went out of there way in helping my family, after a long week at the hospital with my son’s surgery we came home to dead furnace . They were able to send out a tech on the same day and late call after hours to look and troubleshoot our furnace . Very happy with the service and the results. I called Smith plumbing and electric because I needed both of these things done and only wanted to deal with one company.  Smith was one of three quotes that I got and all three were very close in price.  Josh came out to give me a quote and was very professional and polite.  Josh quoted the job in about an hour and told me that his quote included repairing any drywall that they may have to cut while doing the job, none of the others did this.    They started the job  the following week,  Both the plumbers and electricians showed up on a Tuesday morning and worked all day without  even taking a break.  They were very professional and friendly and did a very good job.  Larry came the next day to patch the drywall.  Larry did a great job matching the texture you would never know there were holes there,  Eva and the office staff were amazing in taking care of any unforeseen issues that came up and kept the job moving smoothly.  All in all a great company, great people and great work.

Final update:Hired another company to come out and certify the furnace and to clean it again. They checked the furnace found a loose wire and stated that it is working fine. So needless to say Smith was trying to charge us $500 to replace a board that was working fine. The problem ended up being a loose wire that was caused by the work that Smith had done. The new company cleaned it again for us and certified that it was working. I have photo proof and written proof from other another company. We could’ve been taken for another $500 but instead seek a second opinion. If you want to know what kind of business you’re dealing with just read the follow up below and it will give you an idea of their tone and what kind of company you’re dealing with.We never once said we would post a lying one star review if you did not fix it free. The review was posted after you came out the second time and said the board was broken and you had no discount to offer. I would love to hear that on your recorded line as I would love to hear the discount offered on the first phone call. You only offered a small discount after a second phone call but promptly changed your mind after you read the review on Google .The only thing we requested from this company was to come out and re-clean the furnace and they said they would but changed their mind when they read my review. That would have at least helped the situation and avoided this feedback and our complaint with the Better Business Bureau. But instead they chose to keep our money from the furnace cleaning and follow up with nasty remarks.FOLLOW UP:The discount was never initially offered they said they had no discount to offer us. Second the furnace was working fine when you guys certified that it was working. Then you did a recall item and now it does not work. You caused the furnace to be dirty and you will not clean it and will not come out to clean it unless I delete this review. Great business ethics! I only leave reviews that are earned and you have not earned a better one. I will be filing with the bbb next.We hired this company to clean our furnace. They found a code issue so they fixed it after they cleaned the furnace. They said everything was working great and left. They left us with a mess in the basement and in the furnace that they just cleaned. A week goes by and we try to put on the furnace and it won’t come on. So we called them out again and they said it’s an issue with the board in the furnace. They don’t take any blame for the issue and just say it’s old and want to charge us a large amount of money to fix it. Yes the furnace is 20 years old but it was working great before they cleaned it. We don’t recommend them!

The Temperature pressure relief valve blew on my old water heater on a Friday night flooding my downstairs. I called shortly after 8am on Saturday and had a tech out within an hour. Oscar was amazing assessed the situation, let me know exactly everything that was going on w/the plumbing. He worked up several estimates for the different items and was able to cap off the water heater so I could have water back that day! He also took time to work w/me regarding how to pay for the project and came back the following Monday and did an awesome job of getting my new water heater in and the other issue I had taken care of. I can't say if the price was more or less than another company would charge but the service was excellent and when there was confusion on Monday about scheduling Kevin jumped right on it and resolved the issue. Would highly recommend and will use you for all my future pluming/heating/ac needs!

I called to hire an electrician for our house we are selling, however the receptionist said they do not work with sellers. So if you are selling your house, don't bother calling as they won't help. Three stars because the receptionist was nice, but I was unable to hire.

The Smith's Plumbing and Heating team just completed a full house update for us. It started with a water heater leak just before the 4th of July. The team quickly developed several proposals and took the time to answer the many more detailed questions we had to allow us the confidence we were making the right decision. We chose to do the complete job at one time and Smith's team worked tirelessly to get the job done. I was continually impressed with the kindness and professionalism of each of the crews who came out to complete pieces of the job. Our project included Plumbing, Electrical, HVAC, A/C, and the drywall repair team. Although nervous going in, the crew has completely won us over with their expectional work. We will continue to use their maintenance program and look forward to working with Smith's in the future. If you are looking for a quality job with a conscientious team, definitely give them a try.

Neill was able to come early and found and corrected a bunch of issues we didn’t even know were brewing (some wires were loose and our brand new AC cooling core was about to freeze and crack!). I am so glad we have the maintenance package!!

Rudy Ortiz was amazing. He came by to do an inspection on our furnace and let me watch during. He showed me the rust and possible crack in the my heat exchangers and spent over an hour building a custom quote for a full replacement of my furnace and AC. While they are most likely not the cheapest in town, I feel confident in the choice I have made in going with Smith. If I do not come back to revise my review, you can assume I was more than content with the services I received. My scheduled install is 10/26.

I would recommand Smith for all your services!! They work with you to get all your issues fix and they work with your scschedule! I also remember getting their membership with is about $230, but it covers turn up all your service call fee and I believe 4 filter replacement a year.

Nick was excellent, he checked our outlets and explained everything to us. He discussed 4 different options we could choose from. I'm very pleased with the service your company provides. I will gladly recommend Smiths to family and friends.

First and foremost i will give props where they are due. The team of John, Dillon, and Ilan and the rest of the gentlemen that showed to get the install in on time stayed late and did a very nice job. Unfortunately it was nightmarish to say the least with the duct sealing process. The first day it was to be done the equipment malfunctioned and never did work. Was informed they would be there promptly the next day early. Showed up late and equipment still did not function. Rescheduled for the coming Saturday. Called on Friday to confirm crew was going to be there Saturday morning. At 10:30 I personally called the office to see what was going on. I was given several excuses from college classes to no driver's license none of which were acceptable. Made another appointment for the next Friday afternoon, called into the office to confirm. Friday AFTERNOON. Yes thats correct sir! See you then. Shockingly enough at 9:30 Friday morning I received a phone call from the crew telling me they are at my home and when can I get there. Wow. Thats all I can say. 3 days ruined because the left hand has no idea what the right hand is doing. I fully expect those situations from corporate America but not from a local small business. I understand companies grow but if communication isn't fundamental in your business plan you are doomed to repeat poor performances. I'm pretty sure I'm almost out of room here because there were other failures above and beyond these revealed. They sell, I believe a good product, but beware there's lots of room for improvement with this outfit.

This is the second review I’m writing for Smith, my first was for my hvac repair and maintenance. This time it’s for plumbing. I had a plumbing emergency when my outdoor water bib started leaking outside and inside my basement where the water spreading. I called Smith where someone talked me through shutting off my water until the plumber could arrive. The plumber arrived in under 30 minutes! He worked fast and efficient to find the leak. The water bib was located and repair an hour later. The emergency plumbing situation made it all the more clear what a great company Smith is! Highly recommend!

Just needed a new garbage disposal put in since I can longer due this type of work with ruptured discs. Pipes leaked so I contacted them to fix their installation correctly. The plumber spent most of his time here playing with the dogs, tightened the pipes, & they tried to charge me for this. When we first filled the sink it leaked like crazy because the disposal is not mounted tightly to the drain. it is completely loose now I either have to do this whole job again myself or pay another plumber to do the same simple job Smith plumbers did not.

Brad Gillis, Was professional, courteous and gave us great recommendations on how to make our system work better. He came out to give me an estimate on zoning our home heating and cooling system. We discussed it in length and determined that zoning was not what I wanted no. Was it a cost affected way to go. He recommends an alternative, that he believes will be just as effective and be about a third of the price. He is truly a great representative of the Smith organization. His recommendations to me show that he not only has the company's interest at heart but also the customer.

Your company is the worst. There’s work listed here that you never performed. When we attempted to get the shower installed, your guys told us you didn’t do that kind of work. You failed multiple inspections. Weeks passed between visits to complete work. For example, after plumbing the hot/cold for the basement bathroom, it was weeks before anyone returned to install the toilets that had been sitting in the garage. You sent your lawyer over to physically confront my son. Finally, you obtained a lien before completing the work. As far as I’m concerned, you’re a criminal.

Were quick to prep for the work and do the work. Not so quick to put everything back together. Overcharged for landscape replacement. Initially sent different guys to replace landscape from the guys who took it apart. Do your own landscape repairs if you can. Foreman Jesus and his partner were great. Loved Nathaniel and trusted him. Freddie asked for full payment before work was complete. Did not appreciate that. Also felt uncomfortable that Freddie was sending someone other than Nathaniel to pick up the check when we were expecting Nathaniel.

I had Ridge come out and take a look at my AC. Super nice and easy to talk to. He was honest with what was wrong and instead of trying to sell me a new unit he worked with me on trying to figure out how to make it work and what would need to be done. Greatly appreciate him being honest and helpful. I asked him to just take a peak at my furnace since he was here and he did and also walked me through my options of the situation. 100% greatful for a honest worker who is there to help not make bank.

Used them for AC repair. They told me i had a broken peice and needed to quote me for it. I said ok and waited 4 days for an email. 4 days later , after i called twice, i was finally told we dont quote that and we fix that on the spot. Never was offered to me at the time. Then wanted to charge me to come back out and fix it. They are scammers and lot atleast 30k worth of business i had left for projects i needed done.

I scheduled an appointment for an estimate to have a water heater replaced. I was given a window from 12:00-3:00, and told that a plumber would call within a half hour of arrival. I took time off from my job to be home for the estimate, and nobody ever showed up. I called the company back,, and was told that there is no record of me ever calling....my cell phone history shows it! I have heard good things about this company, but based on my first impression I will not recommend or use them.

I had a AC leak and it caused horrific damage with water saturation in my furnace components which completely ruined my furnace. I also needed to replace my AC and humidifier. I had a friend recommend Smith Plumbing and Heating. I called late on a Friday night and was greeted by great customer service. A woman answered the phone and was very helpful, l regret l dont remember her name, but she helped me immediately and within less than an hour Jared called and told me he was on his way. Jared was also had great customer service skills, licensedand extremely knowledgeable. I signed an agreement to have my furnace, AC and humidifier replaced. They offer additional benefits especially important if you struggle from allergies.On the next day l met another Smith employee named Bob. He spent time looking over the situation and answered my concerns in preparation for Sunday's installation.....yes, l said Sunday. Between 8:00 and 8:30 on a Sunday 3 licensed and skilled plumbers came to the rescue. Bob returned Sunday around 8:00 and started unloading the necessities then Clint and Braden appeared ready to install. The 3 plumbers worked hard replacing all my damage equipment, by 2:00 or a little later every thing was completed. They did more than an excellent job to make my home comfortable. My new thermostat is a mimi computer .....lt is easy to use even though my technical skills are questionable. Bob exchanged my old thermostat with batteries and replaced the new one. After the equipment was installed and tested Clint explained how to use the thermostat.I am thoroughly impressed and grateful for Smith Plumbing and Heating. Completing my job in one day, ON A SUNDAY, is totally rare. I had explained l had an emergency in my family and was headed out of town.....and they helped me out by ensuring my home needs were taken care of before my departure.Also, l want to thank Mike for scheduling his team to expedite my work needed. I could not have been more impressed with the work Smith Plumbing did to replace our water service line while and then minimize their footprint on our back yard.I called four plumbing companies after I found myself standing in a sinkhole in my garage. Nathan from Smith's came out the next day to investigate the problem and give an estimate for a spot repair. When my partner and I decided to replace the line, he returned the next day to give a new estimate. And he was able to schedule the work to begin early the following week.The work was done by Jesus and Carlos. They dug out a six-foot trench from the alley to the house that bypassed our garage and back walkway. Before the sun went down, we had water again. A few days later, CSU inspected the work, and then Jesus and Carlos filled in the trenches.I expected the backyard to look different after a job of this magnitude, and it didn't. But I was impressed by how careful Jesus and Carlos were. They removed two sections of fencing and a small part of our deck with care. And after they left, they had a jack-of-all-trades named Eduardo come out to repair the fence and gate, patch up a section of concrete, and remove the excess dirt and mud.Losing water is no fun, and Smith's responded quickly. They were patient. Their estimate was accurate. And it's wonderful knowing that they guarantee their work for as long as we live in our house. A+ job.

I had them install a new furnace, AC, and humidifier in Dec and bought the service package as well. They have been amazing the entire time and came right out and addressed any little issues I had. Recently they sent a HVAC Tech Marion Martinez out to do the biannual service on my AC and she was amazing! It was so awesome seeing a woman doing great work! Absolutely love this company!

So, I have a lot to share, hang with me.In April 2023, our tenants notified us of a water heater leak. Smith said they could be there in 2-days which was a Friday, so we scheduled it.Normally, I am there for any repairs or work that needs to be done at the property, but I figured its just a repair/inspection job so waited for them to call me with what the issue was. I had a feeling it would need to be replaced.I got the call shortly after they arrived that it needed to be replaced, it was super old and the leak was not fixable. There were several quotes provided, from $12,000-$2500 and they were all essentially the same unit, just different extras like extended warranty, annual inspection visits, and other bells and whistles. We opted for the 2nd to the last option which was around $3600 after asking for a discount ;) (military and first responders DO get a discount without the begging!)We scheduled the install for the Monday of the following week. Again, I am normally THERE for repairs but for whatever reason, I didnt come to the water heater replacement. I wish I had :(They finished up the same day but required one additional day for inspection. Everything was done by Tuesday and it seemed fine.By Wednesday afternoon (2-days POST install) I received a phone call from the tenants that there was massive flooding and severe damage to the garage and ceiling. I immediately left and called Smith on my way over to request they meet me at the rental property. It was too coincidental for there to be water damage in the same area where the water heater had just been installed.Oh my gosh, I lost it. The tears started flowing as soon as I saw the damage. The entire ceiling was collapsing from water damage and the interior bedroom was also caving from water saturation in the attic.I knew IMMEDIATELY what they had done wrong.Years ago there used to be a swamp cooler on the property but we had it disconnected and removed it. However, there was a copper pipe that ran from the old water heater to the swamp cooler, once upon a time. It had been disconnected and just kind of hanging out in the back of the garage, near the water heater for years.For some reason, the person who inspected it the week before to see if it could be repaired, had documented that this pipe needed to be reconnected (this was never discussed with me over the phone). And the install team that put the new water heater in on Monday didnt question the instructions provided and connected it, having no idea where it led.Little did they know the pipe led to nowhere, it just was hanging out in the attic, spraying water all over the attic-space and essentially flooding it for 3-days.Once Smith understood what they had done wrong, they called their supervisor because it was obviously much bigger than a couple of repairmen could handle.Then Freddie arrived, he is the supervisor and was really great. My husband was very upset at their mistake and I was in tears that there was SO much damage but Freddie was very reassuring and calmed everyone down and explained that they would fix it.And that is exactly what they did. E-V-E-R-Y single point of water damage was repaired. The carpet padding was replaced, the insulation was removed and replaced, drywall installed, and new paint.I have to give so much thanks to Freddie, he was always quick to respond anytime I had questions or requested an update (it took about 2.5 weeks to get everything back to before the water damage) and he was so kind.I gave 5-stars because of how Freddie handled this situation. I cant say for sure if I will call Smith for future work but I do have to say Freddie has left me feeling like a valuable customer. I hope Smith understands how important it is to have a person like Freddie on the team. He de-escalated a stressful situation and made sure everything was 100% back to normal as fast as he possibly could.THANK YOU FREDDIE!!!!!!!!!

We do not recommend Smith Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electrical to anyone who is looking for a reliable company or if you have an expectation of professionalism. When you first have interactions with this company and up until the point that they render services to you they will appear to be an honest and reliable. But once your under contract with them and you have an expectation for Smith Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electrical to live up to their end of the contractual agreement prepare yourself for a complete let down. And if your not happy with their service or give them less than a rating that they are satisfied with, they will refuse you service regardless of your contractual agreement. I recommend that you go with a company that will honor the maintenance, filter changing obligation as well as the lifetime warranty agreement. The sales person will also try to get you to agree to various services claiming that these services are free but will add them to your loan, so be extremely careful and read absolutely everything. In our sincere opinion this company is extremely unprofessional, we even had someone who claimed to be the owner named Mike call us from his home extremely irrate and yelling while we were taking care of a sick family member. This company definitely in our opinion is not worth the disrespect, hassle, stress and harassment , so save yourself the headache. We recommend that you go with another company who knows how to treat their customers and hopefully will honor their contract. I will clarify a few things for you, my husband called your company to set up a time to have someone from your company come out and change our filter which is part of the contract through your company not the warranty company. My husband spoke to someone who said his name was Freddie who refused to set an appiontment and subsequently was told that your company would not be providing us with ANY services which do not only include the changing of the filters due to the one star rating that my husband gave your company previously which you should have heard on the recorded calls. Freddie went on to say that your company does not provide services to people who are not pleased with your services and that your company has plenty of people who are satisfied and yes I do believe that this is poor service and unprofessional. Also on this conversation Freddie said that your company was going to provide a full refund for the services that your company is unwilling to provide, which has not been done to date. But for your company to completely discontinue services to a customer that you are under contract with because you are not pleased with the rating that you received in my opinion is extremely unprofessional. To address the issue that you brought up regarding my husband attitude during this conversation, it was far from irate but he was indeed irritated by the sheer attitude from your company. If u don't mind your HVAC folks being more interested in selling you something new than MAINTAINING what they already sold you, then this is the place for you. One star because I actively support women in business. The other stars you have to earn. After spending $16,000. on brand new equipment, M.R., the boss from Smith Plumbing wanted me to spend yet another $850. for a new AC coil that froze in the heat wave. Smith had installed my brand new furnace, this passed February, after THEIR valve failed on the air cleaning system and flooded my basement under 4 inches of water. At 11pm Smith Co. came, explained that their valve had failed, then said, we'll pay the $1600 restoration fee, (for the flooding they caused or you can call your own restoration company). As if I knew one, further the old furnace could fail any second due to possible water damage from all the water. We'll pay for the flood (THEY caused), if u buy a new furnace from us, which I did. The top of the line (supposedly) air filter they installed did a great job, but, I was told my house (or any other house) would not cool below 84 degrees in the 104 degree heat wave because that is the law in Colorado. BS. Ridiculous. No. Another HVAC company repaired it for $75.00 and no arguments.

Was referred from a friend. I didn't get the same deal, but i still got a good deal. Was happy with the initial visit to pick what i wanted. Very satisfied with what i received and how it was installed. Braden and the crew were all very nice. I know they earned their 50 cents. Up and down stairs all day. The product was awesome. The crew were all dedicated to getting a good product in my home. Appreciate all the energy going into getting it installed and running.

Rudy showed up at about 6PM & did a quick review of the unit & thermostat. He checked the electric box & the solar installers had turned off the air conditioning breaker. That was the issue-so he flipped the switch & cool air came out of the vents. Rudy was very nice & professional & gave me a few recommendations about the unit for the future.

Working with Smith was a great experience. From quote to installation was barely 2 weeks, our service consultant and the entire installation crew was knowledgeable, friendly and professional, and the quality of the equipment installed and the work performed was awesome. Ryan and Nic K. just installed a cieling fan, some lights and some outlets at my house. They were on-time, professional and polite. They did a thorough job and cleaned up after themselves well. Despite there being some clutter in some of the working areas and my attic being a real pain to work in, they performed quickly. I also noticed that they did things in a safe way that was respectful to my home and to my kids and dog who were running around. They took the time to explain the work to me and answer questions, even being sure to give me updates on how things were going, without being asked to. Smiths plumbing and heating has been our go to service for several years. Our most recent service, provided by Ridge Whitesel was nothing short of excellent. Something we’ve come to expect from Smiths, but still appreciate. Ridge took time out of his busy schedule to explain my options, as well as give me an honest, down to earth explanation of my current needs vs what could wait. Along with his personal opinion. Ridge introduced himself to my children and they really hit it off. Going as far as having an in depth discussion with my son about Pokémon cards. 5 Stars for Ridge Whitesel.Smiths is a little more expensive than other companies, but as with everything in life, you get what you pay for. At the risk of sounding like a broken record, I again wish to thank Smith Plumbing and Heating for the promptness and professionalism in resolving the issue I had over the weekend. Quite honestly, I thought that we would have some difficulty with the system and 10/10 warranties. I am glad to have been in error in this case. We have used Smith on several occasions for plumbing, heating and air conditioning services. Karl Kolb was the tech for our PM AC service. He was very professional, initially asking whether the system was working and what we needed to have done. He was able to answer all questions we had as he progressed with the service. Karl is an excellent and knowledgeable tech who provided great information for me. The work was completed in about one hour. Estimates were also provided for follow up maintenance to improve efficiency of the system. I would highly recommend him and Smith Plumbing/ Heating , rating them 5.0.

The technician was very nice and professional. He did identify two problems with our heating system. The quote for repair seemed high so we looked at other options. We found another qualified plumber who repaired the system for about 70% of the quote and he found two additional issues. Smith Plumbing has done good work in the past but they are mor expensive.

Really nice staff. I had a broken leg and my spouse was deployed so I was a mess when our water heater broke. They replaced it in less than 24 hours and had a great military discount.

We have a middle-aged AC unit and we had Smith Plumbing and Heating come out to do an inspection and cleaning. They did a thorough and professional job and we were pleased with the service. Being an older AC unit, the next day a new problem surfaced which hadn't presented itself the day before. Smith came out the same day, identified and the problem. While the technician was working on the unit his supervisor brought out the new part to the house and stayed to make sure everything was correct and functional. All this was happening late in the 90 degree afternoon on a Friday when the rest of the city was starting their weekend. The guys from Smith went the extra mile to make sure our unit was repaired and properly functioning.The price was reasonable and the service was top notch. Our AC is running great. We are very pleased with the results and will certainly use Smith Plumbing and Heating for our service needs. I am happy to recommend them to you.

I had an appointment for 3-5pm....someone called at 4:45 and wanted to reschedule due to a tech stuck on another job. I informed hom that I had to cancel 2 other appointments to stay home for this. He said there was nothing he could and could be out the next day sometime . I am still working amd already took time off for this appointment. I would be very skeptical about calling them again.

I contacted this company as my neighbor had a great experience . I paid half of my service down when technician came out to give me my estimate. Couple days later technicians show up they were unable to complete services wich they said we should have known at 1st visit however they left i call company to ask for a refund on what i had paid. They said id get partial payment back as tech said they did 1 vent wich tech didnt mention to me. After a little phone hassle g.m apologies for inconvenience and even though they electronically took my payment id have to wait for a check. 5 to 7 days here we are 17 days later no check. Accounting has no record of my reimbursement and g.m is out of town till next week so i am still out of pocket for services not completed.

James Jackson did our AC yearly maintenance today. He is very friendly, professional, thorough and explained everything he was doing and made a couple of recommendations for our unit to run more efficiently. After talking to about 4 other companies Smith had the best prices for ac installation and we also got a new water heater. They did it all in a day (didn't take the whole day) and were very nice, friendly and professional. We have 0 complaints, recommend them all the time.

Smith was recommended by a friend that had AC installed by them. I got multiple estimates and went with Smith because they were competitive and Mike made me feel comfortable with the process and how they would deliver. Jon and Dylan started at 8 and worked until 8 in the evening to complete our AC install. They were friendly and diligent. We had a big crew at different times of the day and everyone was courteous and professional and worked to complete the job same day. Travis and Kyle even left after installing our water heater and came back at 7 pm to calibrate the mixing valve after the gas was back on upon furnace completion. Jonathan and Kevin put in the effort to make the electrical work the way we asked to hide the runs and give us the result we wanted. The team worked well together and while I can’t speak to reliability yet, the installation was a great experience and everything works well (we haven’t run the furnace yet, but…).

My HVAC and A/C went out back in October. The workers at Smith got someone out to diagnose the problem and then schedule for a new HVAC and A/C unit to be installed before the temperature dropped. Everyone was super professional, and courteous. They even discovered something that was possibly installed wrong by the builders. At the end of the day my 4 year old was admiring their truck and they showed the kiddo how the lift worked. Made the kiddo's week. Will definitely use them again when the time comes.

We had our very ancient furnace replaced today. Smith was very thorough, pleasant, and clean. From Rudy, who initially came to inspect our old furnace and who set us up to replace it, to John and Elon (who expertly installed it and performed all updates needed) and Ivan and Sofia who cleaned all the air ducts. They were on time, did an excellent job on our Generator. They also installed HVAC system in a very efficient professional manner.

Estevan was very professional, on time, and even fit us in for a same day estimate. We had several other contractors out to give estimates, but Estevan just gave us an at ease feeling and we liked his vision for the work.

Our A/C was not cooling the main floor of our town home, so we called Smith to diagnose and fix the problem. Our technician, Brian, found that coils had partially frozen and when the ice had melted, it soaked the filter and limited the effectiveness of the A/C unit. He spent several hours finding and fixing the problem.

Rescheduled on me twice, the first time at the very last minute and the second time they said they left a voicemail, which I never got, saying they needed to reschedule again. I called the day of my appointment after they didn’t show up between the 10-12 time slot I had scheduled and was told I would have to schedule another appointment. Third time is the charm, I guess, but I won’t know because I will never call them again.

Call them if youre looking for a pushy salesman. Tech needs more training on talking less and working more on what he came for . His main goal was to create urgency and push me to buy a brand new $20,000 hvac system. Worse than a car salesman. I thought this company would be women friendly bring they are supposedly women owned But my gut feeling was bad from the start. Would not let me take a photo of price quotes for some strange reason. Claims they were Black Friday specials. Got second opinion from Home Heating Service Inc and it was a completely different experience.****Response from unprofessional company- “While laughing out loud at your username... none the less Dawn I was able to find your record of service under a Dawn Cartmell. Dawn, we sent you an estimate by email for $13,313”*** Nice try but wrong customer. Get your facts straight and stop justifying your crooked company. Your “trained tech” claimed prices could not be sent by email like it was some big secret. BTW my HVAC is only 10 years old. $20,000 was one of the lowest prices. Shows how unprofessional this company is leaving nasty replies after customers honest review. You get defensive and condescending by claiming someone has a 20 year old system or responding with “sorry you don’t like our prices” after we get a second opinion and find out you’re a rip off. That’s why you only gave 3.5 stars on yelp- while laughing out loud!

In summer of 2016 I had a my A/C checked and the HVAC guy put the gauges on and said the refrigerant was right where it was suppose to be.The first week of September there were quiet a few days in the 90's and my AC would only cool to about 74 degrees, So I got Smith Plumbing to come out because I got a coupon in the mail from them. They came out, the tech put the gauges on and spent the time need to get the charge just perfect.Now when the heat was in the 90's my AC would cool to 69 degrees.The first company obviously did a hit and run on me.Smith Plumbing definitely cared enough to take the time to do the job right. Long story short, the service is great, the technician is personable and informative. He walked me through what he was doing, patient with my questions, showed me things I didn’t know, and when the problem was determined and the work that was originally needed wasn’t required anymore, he didn’t charge the weekend dispatch fee required for coming out. This was very kind of him and greatly appreciated. Hire them if you ever need someone helpful and understanding. Plumbing issues are stressful.

Never use Smith again! I spent a fortune getting my entire sewer line replaced to the city main sewer line only to find out they did not replace the whole line. They refuse to give me any kind of answer to why they did not do the entire scope of work. They left my front yard in ruin with broken pieces of pipe everywhere and mutilated my tree with there backhoe. If you need sewer line work done go with Leo's Sewer and Drain instead. Great customer service and they perform the work as promised.

The technician who performed the AC routine maintenance, Jaquan Walker, was thorough and performed the maintenance in a timely manner. He completely explained what he had done to service my AC, explained and showed me what I might encounter at next year's service. He asked if I had any questions regarding what he had done and offered to review programing the thermostat if that would be helpful. I was completely satisfied with the service provided by Smith Plumbing.

Mike and his company have earned a 5 star review after much needed customer service. I'm not going to lie, in the beginning of Mike taking over Smith plumbing there were issues - but Mike knows how to make things right. Matt did a great job providing an AC install quote. He explained each line item well and made sure we had no questions before he left. Even offered current installation dates.

Our AC went out on a Saturday when it was 99 degrees outside. Smith was the only company that answered the phone when I called on a Saturday. We discussed the issue over the phone and decided the 21 year old AC unit was not repairable (needed R22 freon which was too expensive) and set up an appointment to come out and give a quote for a new AC and furnace on Monday. The end result - by Wednesday I had a brand new energy efficient 5 ton AC and 125,000btu furnace installed, new smart thermostat installed, air duct cleaning and sealing performed along with fixing several things that were not to code from the original install. They were very professional, cleaned up their messes and went above and beyond to make sure the new unit was installed better than the original. The duct sealing really helped stop the leakage in the basement and made our master bedroom more comfortable in the evening since the air that was going to the basement now went to the rooms upstairs. The house used to take 3 hours to cool down from 83 degrees to 76 degrees on a 100 degree day. Now it takes about 45 minutes to an hour. Huge improvement! The best thing is, all parts, labor, and maintenance is covered for 10 years. Most places do not include labor past the first year or maintenance at all. They are not the cheapest priced place in town and they are not the most expensive either. They are priced right for the level of service received. With all the shortages in equipment, I am glad they were able to get the brand and models I wanted.

All the electricity at my house blew out with hundred of lbs of dog food in our freezer so I was stressed out! The breaker box blew and sparked in a couple different locations, I really was fearing the worst. Especially because it was already getting late in the day. I agreed to the priority fee and Estevan was out there within around 30 minutes! After a quick inspection he identified the problem in a matter of minutes. A screw had gone through multiple wires in our breaker box. It fixed the electricity in my basement as well which I had thought was a separate issue. Was so happy with how quickly he handled everything. Super professional and respectful. Would absolutely use them again.
