Best General Maintenance in Boston MA

Caleb Whelden and company from CTW plumbing were employed to service and maintain the heating and air conditioning units at a residence of mine for over a years' time. They consistently had difficulty arranging to complete jobs in a reasonable time frame, and often made mistakes, some relatively minor and merely forgetful (such as forgetting to replace caps on refrigerant lines), other mistakes much for irresponsible and dangerous. Caleb Whelden easily became defensive. He was not conscientious about taking responsibility for the problems and inconveniences caused by his actions. An incredible amount of time and money could have been saved if another maintenance team was hired earlier on.

We had a very difficult problem and McMahon Plumbing was very responsive and figured out what was wrong and fixed it very quickly. They are very professional and they do care about the homeowner.

I scheduled an appointment for 5/6. They gave me a 4 hr window of when they would arrive. At 2:55pm I received a text telling me they will call me shortly. I replied to the text saying ok, and asked to confirm they are still coming within the 4 hr window given to me? I did not get a reply to my question. They never called me, and they never showed up. I will NEVER use this company! Extremely unprofessional.

I'm updating my review: still, 100% positive experiences: Pann folks are expert, reliable, AND wear masks, etc. All work done on our heating system (& more) has been excellent!

Recently had a great first experience with Sila and can definitely say I will be back. When I called I was greeted by James who was understanding of our situation. Having no heat, and with kids in the home, he was able to get someone out to us the same day which was great. The technician was very professional and made sure to follow strict Covid-19 guidelines which is big with us! Overall a great experience.

Steam heat boiler- Coldest day was approaching and heat was not working correctly. Came immediately and then returned as the problem required two types of fixing. Spoke frankly about three choices of fixing from mini fix to replacing. All well thought out. Found another problem with sump pump while on site. Fixed a little ( on the house) pending a more major replacement. Have used in the past. Really excellent.

Boston Standard did a wonderful job from beginning to end with the installation of a ductless cooling and heating unit. The installer Antoine was thorough, detail oriented, neat, and very respectful. I would recommend him and the company to anyone.

Plumbing Solutions installed an in-floor heater to replace an old cast radiator. Everything was very well communicated and installation was complete to schedule within 3 weeks from the initial survey. Courteous and professional from the onsite visit, quoting and to the final system check. Pricier than your usual plumber, but worry free. Would use again.

P Floros was extremely responsive, communicative and helpful. He was able to fit me in same day for a non emergency repair, and worked quickly and efficiently. My shower now has full water pressure and I didn't even need to miss a shower! I would recommend them to anyone in the area.
