I could not have asked for a better experience. I received a call that the Technician was on his way. Roy was friendly, professional, and did the job quickly, and efficiently. He explained what he was going to do, and upon completion, explained what he did, and what I need to do for maintenance/winterizing, moving forward. All at a reasonable cost. I will use Sila again in the future.

At peak of heat wave, our AC went out. Wes managed to get a technician to the house same day. Guy, his technician was fantastic and fixed our issue within an hour. Can't recommend Sila more enthusiastically.

Rob has been a constant and reliable source throughout our home renovation project(s). Right from the start, he has provided consistent, professional and clean work. Working with him (and Taylor) always made me feel like we were in good hands. They worked quickly as a team and answered all questions respectfully and helped problem solve through our multiple project setbacks (like waiting on cabinets, fixtures, or appliances, then discovering faulty wiring in the bathroom!) I do like that they provide options and and or help get the right parts for the task at hand. I don't know if one can say that their electrical panel is beautiful, but I sure can.... and I've shown it off to many people already.

Sila was amazing! I had to have one of my mini splits compressors and 3 headers replaced due to poor installation. Sila came to look at my units on Monday, started the install on Wednesday where they found additional electrical issues, and finished it all by Thursday. They did an amazing job and were completely professional. The installers, Jason and Jimmy, were awesome and informed me of all decisions as well as walked me through the system. This morning on Friday the 13th, one of the hottest day of the year, my new HVAC system died! I called Sila and was told a serviceman would come between 2-5 pm to find out what was going on. Guy arrived around 3;30 pm and was extremely professional and pleasant. He quickly discovered that I had a faulty thermostat. He patiently explained everything that he was doing to correct the problem and waited until the compressor restarted and I could feel cool air coming through the vents. I would highly recommend his work to anyone in need.

Problem could not be solved but good troubleshooting at flexible hour (8 am Sunday).

Very high quality plumbers. They came twice and both Paget and Dave were as good as they come. Fixed the work of two other plumbers, super courteous, personable, warranty, not low but fair price with great confidence it was done right. They are my go to guys from now on.

Sila has been our go-to heating and AC company for the last 2 or 3 years. John G is a true professional. He listens to what the symptoms of (usually) the furnace are, goes to work immediately to diagnose, and then describes the work he will need to do, the time he estimates it will take, and the costs. John and Sila have tuned up our furnace, our AC unit and the water heater. Last year, John replaced the oil-fired water heater with an electric one on our request. Initially based on her experience, I have called on them, now for several years, for my own HVAC maintenance requirements and most recently the installation of a completely new system . Both my neighbor and I have found them to be highly skilled, absolutely reliable, and reasonably priced. They are an excellent company with exemplary customer service that many other companies would do well to emulate. I give them the highest recommendation and a commendation for their service and the fine quality of their work.

We’ve been using Sila for several years and are very happy with the service they provide. Both Guy and Jason are excellent technicians.

We have used John Gulstrom at Sila for many projects, some planned and some emergency. He is professional and knowledgeable and there when we need him. When my husband was overseas traveling and our heat when out John was there no questions. Best part is he always has our budget in mind and I don't feel like I'm being sold.

SILA did maintenance today on our heating/HVAC system. The technician was Harry, and he could not have been better. He spent all the time needed to make sure everything was running smoothly, and was very pleasant to work with.

I have spent a lot of money with SILA over the past 2 years. Well over $7k! They did a great job fixing the wiring mess on my AC and fixing my heating system last summer. So when I installed a new kitchen sink and counters I used them for the under sink plumbing despite that they came in $300 over other estimates. Now am awaiting a 3rd visit to get things right. The first service person never connected the dishwasher drain correctly. The second person apparently shut off the water to the dishwasher and now I am once again having to schedule a repairman when I am trying to limit my exposure to the public as I am on the front lines at the hospital. Very disappointed with SILA plumbing right now.

John G was on time, very friendly, and kept me informed throughout the work he was doing. He got the work done quickly with out any cleanup needed. Great job!

During tune-up for Gas boiler , I mentioned to Ivan issue I was having with heating system. He was quick and thorough regarding explanation about burner inefficency and gas smell. Problem was narrowed down to burner nozzles that were clogged and low manifold gas pressure . Gas pressure was adjusted and fouled nozzles were thoroughly cleaned. Would highly recommend.

Guy from Sila took a deep dive into our very old and complex heating system. He restored water pressure, fixed a leak, and flushed the system. He also went around bleeding radiators and got some to work that I have never seen work! Great job of investigation and repair.

We had a very tricky leak from 2nd floor bathtub, raining down into the 1st floor family room. I called a plumber who came a did a “quick fix” and charged me $900 for the pleasure. The leak continued, actually got worse. By chance I stumbled upon Sila. They came right over and I can’t say enough good their work. Dave and Erik were exceptional. So professional. It was a hard job with 1930’s plumbing in a very tight space. They were the best plumbers I’ve had in my house in 15 years. Job well done. Now we have a working bathroom again. Sila has really met all of our expectations, and even more. More than 2 years ago, we knew it was time to upgrade the almost 40 year old, central heating & air conditoning systems of our home. We researched and evaluated a number of companies, and, in the end, went with Sila, based on such reviews, and the recommendations of a large,highly respected, international corporation, and its service and value ratings. We were not disappointed!Sila installed, in our home, new, state of the industry, central heating & airconditioning systems, as well as a ductless, air conditioning unit in our master bedroom-all to insure maximum environmental efficiencies, and product performance.We have had an equipment issue or two, in the two years hence, and that's where the we really received our most rewarding Sila dividends! Sila was there (i.e. at our home) when we needed them most. During one unprecendented blizzard, the worst since the Blizzard of '78, our heating system shut down for some unknown reason to this very non-technical writer. No one was permitted on the roads, at that time. I, immediatley, spoke to the technician, at his home, who had worked on our equipment after installation, and he went outside, in the blizzard, to his truck, got the manual, came back in, and walked me through a quick fix, which restarted the furnace, and voila-heat, again. I was beyond thank you, and wrote a letter to the company lauding this exceptional technician, person and Sila employee. Service beyond the call of duty, as far as we were concerned!One other time, a year later, we encountered another issue. The on-duty technician, immediately drove, about 40 miles, to our home, at 10 PM, to resolve the issue and had us back on line, again. Last week, this same technician visited our home for our a/c annual check-up, and discovered that that the ductless a/c unit needed adjustment. Within moments, he was on the roof, adjusting a connection or some such thing, and now, the unit is more efficient than ever.Need I say more. Sila's service has been just fabulous. We are super thrilled to have found them, and have recommended Sila to friends/collegues who are looking for a similar experience. Thank you Sila!

We had an excellent experience with plumbers Roy and Connor, who came in response to a couple of small gas leaks. They arrived on time, worked efficiently and effectively, discovered illegal piping and brought it up to code, added a couple of extra items at no charge, and cleaned up before leaving. The service technician named Guy responded promptly to my Sunday night call when my furnace went out. We determined that we could wait until the following morning for him to look at the unit. My broiler broke and call Sila . I had no contract and was taken care of immediately. The technician was incredible.., so professional and caring. Explained everything and came back with parts and did the repairs. He called back to see how everything was going. That is unheard of. He came back and fixed a small leak. I called several providers looking to have a broken drain pipe fixed. Sila sent one of their technicians to the house the same day I called. Roy was very knowledgeable and very thorough, and walked us through the whole process. A couple of days later, the pipe was replaced with a minimum of fuss and disruption. Excellent work. I would definitively use Sila again.

We had Sila bid to repair to our system, and Sila recommended replacement which would have been quite a few thousand $. We also got another company to bid to repair the malfunctioning element for $750 and went with that - the system has been working well. Their proposal to replace was outside of our budget.

Sila was the company we chose to purchase our new HVAC system. Installation was over ten years ago. The A/C stopped keeping up with the heat. We called on monday and they were able to get out today (Wed) so good turnaround. The tech (Adnan) came out and found that we were down a bit on refridgerant. He topped it off, cleaned the compressor, and found a leak in the condensation collection piping. All in all, very professional, quick response, thorough troubleshooting, and good communication from dispatch.

The Sila team was very professional and responsive. Ray arrived on time and was efficient during the project. He was transparent about the project and what it would cost. He explained what the drivers of the problem were. While I may have paid a bit more, it was worth it. It’s very hard to find high quality and reliable service providers.

Had no heat was on going issue and all the other companies had there ideas after alot of money with no results and now getting told the system needed replacement (8 years old) I asked a friend who they use as I just bought this house. They told me they always use Sila and the tech that has serviced them the last few times was named Craig. So called Sila and asked for him and they booked him to come out. He arrived right on time in full uniform unlike the other companies. Was very polite. Issue was my furnace would shut off when it needed to run longer to heat the house. He said maybe its going off on a safety. I told him they replaced the high limit twice. He had me start the system and after about 8-10 minutes it went off. He found it was going off on high limit. He found the duct work to be more then big enough. He asked if any of the returns were blocked or any cold rooms. I told him returns are clear and the whole second floor but a bathroom is colder then the first and third floor. Told this to the other companies and they had a is what it is attitude. Not Craig he had me show him the 4 bedrooms that were affected. He checked flow compared to the other floors. We both agreed that it was just about no flow on the 2nd floor. He went to his truck and came back with a neat camera which he fed the probe in the registers and said I found it. He removed all six floor registers reached way down and pulled out bath towels from each one. He said that the prior owner must of liked the second floor cold. We went down stairs restarted the heat and it ran great. He checked for flame roll out and used his camera to check the heat exchanger he found no cracks. He tested for carbon monoxide in the supply air to double verify that there was no issues. Its been three weeks now and its running great. This company and Craig are the real deal I will never call anyone else. The few hundred I spent for the service is way better then the thousands for a new furnace. Craig did replace the high limit with the proper one as he said it could be weak from flexing on and off. Plus prior company put one with a higher limit in it. When he left he verified I had good working co detectors. All that I can say is when in doubt get Craig and Sila out.

Called on Friday for a broken shower valve. Had someone on-site Monday at 7:30am. John worked to remove a stuck cartridge and got the new one installed quickly. Very happy I called Sila!

The technician who came to my house, although late through no fault of his own, was professional, generous, and a remarkably kind, honest and helpful person. He shared with me everything he was doing and why. Even took photographs to show me the before and after situation. In addition his work was excellent.

We put in our SILA Heat/AC (ductless) system 18 years ago. Excellent product, with outstanding and prompt service. Annual service plan is worth every penny.

Deidra is the most kindest customer service rep that I spoke with. She was so amazing at explaining exactly what a heating maintenance consists of and what size filter and what grade I should be using. She defiantly my go to rep to speak to now.

Adnan was fantastic! The yearly maintenance couldn’t have happened sooner. He replaced the air handler filter, installed a new capacitor, installed a hard relay, added refrigerant, and performed a complete check on our system. These guys are great. We got our heating system inspected and checked before winter after buying a place, and we're glad we did. The system hadn't ever been cleaned or checked, and there was one part they replaced. They also gave us a quote for a new water heater, since the existing one was about to croak. We got it replaced the following week, and everyone we interacted with at Sila was super friendly. Also, bonus points for them being pet friendly while working!

Totally awesome guys working for this company..Steve K was friendly, professional, cleaned up afterward, office kept us updated as to when the plumber would be at the house...I'd recommend them for anything and plan to have them come back when/if we need anymore plumbing done.

Brian was assigned to troubleshoot our furnace after we woke to it being only 57 degrees in our house in February. Quickly, he discovered that the thermostat wasn’t communicating with the furnace, and he was able to resolve the problem. It’s hard to say that we look FORWARD to technicians coming as it always means a repair cost, though it’s refreshing to know we will be treated with kindness by knowledgeable professionals.

Very happy with our new central air system and mini split unit. Benefits of working with a larger company like Sila is they can help with multiple project needs (air, electric, plumbing, etc). One drawback was at times, choppy communication between all of the internal constituents. System is excellent and was done quickly!

We got new HVAC system installed in August. They offered several efficiency levels. We went with the Most Efficient system at the highest price. We did not think to actually research the efficiency ratings of the model numbers they intended to install. In October we applied for a PECO rebate. They have a list of model numbers and brands that qualify. Our heater was not on the list. We did find a sticker on the unit which displayed the energy rating (80) which is the lowest. We attempted to contact our salesman but he did not return our calls.

Unique was extremely helpful with explaining my invoice and I loved doing business with this company.

SILA performed the annual maintenance on my very old boiler. I had known for a while that I would have to replace it eventually, and it turned out that it was emitting too much carbon monoxide, so it wasn’t safe. SILA came first thing the next day to install a new “combo” system – a high-efficiency system with a water heater as part of the system, vented out the side of the house. It was a big job. The Foreman, Bob Skinner, was clear and explained what I should expect. The installation team – Ying Chen, Jose Cirino, and Joe Dixon (there were some other people too the first day, but I don’t have all their names) – were respectful, professional, non-judgmental about my messy house, and really good at explaining things and not talking down to me. The administrative office part of things has also been terrifically helpful, including Jodie who will be helping me apply for a rebate. As part of this installation, SILA will be coming in a few days to make sure that everything works to my satisfaction, which is a nice check. I couldn’t be happier with the work and the service.

All workers were courteous, timely and knowledgeable. Very neat workers and explained and answered all my questions.

Torrel came on time, put on his boot covers and went right to work cleaning and maintaining our AC system. He was clear in what he needed to do and did it without making a mess. He even helped clean off the outside AC! I'll try to request him again!

John Gulstrom is an important asset for your brand. His professionalism was evident from the time he stepped into my house and donned his booties. John asked questions about my heating problems in ways that made sense to me and, as a result, I was able to give him more information about the problem than I had ever given any other service person before. This company should be avoided by all costs and do not count on them coming when they say they will. I requested they come out to repair a split unit A/C and they told me they cannot for 5 days. So I reluctantly scheduled with them and the day before they are supposed to arrive they call to say they have to prioritize emergency jobs with no A/C. To be clear I also have no A/C and they have essentially over booked their staff. They blew me off and offered me no date to reschedule.DO NOT RELY ON THEM TO COME WHEN THEY SAY!

I called SILA, requesting Harry, when I noticed that condensate was Leaking from my HVAC air handler instead of going into my drain line. Harry diagnosed the Leak was from the threads on the drain line. He replaced the coupling on the line, and it fixed the leak. I also pointed out that the ceiling in my air handler closet was open, and he got out a screen filter assuring my HVAC system was being fed clean air. Harry did a grat job on short notice short notice, and I am glad SILA employs him to care for my hvac needs.R Smallcomb

Had our heat die on a very cold day. Sila technician John G. was able to diagnose and fix the problem within a few hours and got our heat back and working. Great service and will use them again if we have problems.

Rob took the time to assess the best way to connect my new mini-split system to my electric service, and then proceeded to efficiently perform the work with his colleague, Taylor. Because all the breaker positions were already filled, I thought I'd have to have a supplemental box installed, which would have added time and cost. Rob had been supplied with photographs of the electrical service, and reviewed them prior to coming here. He suspected, and then confirmed, that even though the panel appeared to be completely full, my box was able to accommodate the new circuit due to the foresight of the electrician who originally installed the electric service more than 10 years ago. All in all, a positive experience working with this company.

John G. serviced our heating system. He did a thorough job and made some adjustments to help balance the heating throughout the condo. We also discussed changing out the furnace systems to one that will better meet our needs (add humidifier, better w/ dust, etc.). John took the time to educate me on our current system and discuss the benefits of a new system. No hard sell.

My central air conditioner in my condo in South Boston stopped cooling randomly one day. I called around to a bunch of companies. Many said they no longer service my kind of system (it’s from 2004). Sila responded promptly and I had an appointment scheduled for just a couple days later. The technician, Brian, was fantastic. I received an advance phone call to let me know he was on the way. He drove around looking for a legal parking spot (he refused to just park in an open handicap spot right in front of my place which I have seen other contractors do in the past). Brian was able to identify the issue (a broken capacitor) and get my system up and running in less than an hour. He also gave me details on other improvements I would likely need soon given the age of my system, but he didn’t pressure me. While the cost for the overall visit wasn’t cheap (over $500) — which included a $195 standard evaluation/service call fee) my place is now cool and it definitely was a call I am happy I made. I recommend giving Sila a try.

I had an issue with my Bosch- On demand water heating unit, and had the toughest time finding someone to assist me. Thankfully I found Sila, and was lucky enough to have Ken M. come out and help me. Steven Treska was meticulous and did an amazing job. He was thorough and manage to find the root cause of a leak that had persisted for 3 years. He came back the following day with what he needed to fix the identified leak, and fix it. Fingers crossed this has put the matter to rest for good.

Had my water heater in my condo replaced today. Craig and his assistant showed up at appointed time and set right to work. Craig was very professional, knowledgeable and pleasant. He brought my attention to a potentially dangerous problem and advised how best to handle it. I asked him about my 20+ year old heating system and possibly replacing it. He suggested I have someone come out to assess the system and called the office to asked them to set up an appointment for me with a project manager. Melissa called me within an hour or so and I have an appointment this coming Friday. All in all ~ a very pleasant experience.

Absolutely disappointed. Waste of time. I called them to get a quote on an HVAC system cause i wanted to replace my old system. The rep showed up on time but was really not interested in taking up the work cause its a small system. He just wanted to quote me a big system replacing all the ductwork and panels so he could charge me extra. They are just there to make 'big' money. If it's something small they may not be interested.

In 2021 Sila installed a new Carrier Infinity furnace in my attic. It ran great until this winter when it kept triggering an ignition lockout error and shutting down (this was a manufacturer failure, had nothing to do with the installation). Sila's technician, Ryan, quickly and accurately diagnosed the problem as a faulty gas valve, replaced it with a new part -- no charge, since it was under warranty -- and I haven't had any trouble since. Only downside was that it took the warehouse manager 10 days to get the part, so the 5 stars is for Ryan and for the fact that the company is responsive to warranty claims with no hassle and no charge.

Sam was very friendly and courteous. He was self-sufficient and was able to quickly do the AC inspections and provided helpful tidbits as well. Have used Sila several times in the last for both AC and plumbing and will continue to do so!

Jay was helpful, knowledgeable, cheerful and very professional. He even showed me some cost saving things I could do to keep my air conditioning unit in top condition. The only reason I did not give the visit 5 stars is because the office did not keep me informed about his arrival time. My appointment was 9-12 and he did not arrive until late afternoon, leaving me home waiting for the entire day. Things happen and scheduling is hard but I do think they could have done a much better job letting me know along the way. This is not a good time of the year for a company doing HVAC work to be understaffed. I do not think it was his fault. He gave me as much time as my equipment needed despite the lateness of the day and was totally pleasant.

I was very pleased by every aspect of my experience with Sila. My heat went out during one of the coldest evenings so far this winter. I called on Monday morning and they were great about being able to come out to look at my furnace, giving me the timeframe I could expect, and then keeping me informed until the technician arrived. I cannot say enough positive things about John G. – he is very knowledgeable and professional. He diagnosed the issue very quickly explaining to me what he was looking at/testing as he worked. He explained my options including the pros/cons of each and when I had decided John worked to get the required parts, came back quickly, and made the repairs. He also took the time when it was done to talk me through everything again and considerations for moving forward. I would highly recommend Sila and John to anyone.

We discovered a leak in our hot water heater, and quickly called Sila (who installed it 10 years ago). They were able to get a technician out first thing the next morning. Once on site, Ken M was quick to diagnose the issue, communicated clearly, gave us options and pricing, and performed the work speedily. Unfortunately we needed to replace the tank since ours had just reached the end of its life, but Ken was able to do it the same day and to help us feel confident in our decision. Highly recommend!

Unprofessional customer service by management and misleading billing practicesI've been a customer for years but never again. On 9/24/19 the Technician Michael L. did my annual inspection/maintenance and said the system was running properly but 1 week later when I tried to turn on the heat for the first time I noticed the pilot was out, the thermocouple needed to be replaced, and there was no visible cleaning done of the system. Sila agreed to waive the $125 service fee and come out to fix the issue and charge Labor ($90/half hr.) and parts. On 10/10 the technician (Ryan L.) who was very polite and efficient came to replace the thermocouple. Sila then sent me a $245 bill including $155 for the Thermocouple which at most is a $30part. It seemed like they tried to hide the $125 service they agreed to waive into the cost of the part. When I questioned the charge the manager became rude and angry and compared it to buying a car and said it was the cost of doing business. He then said I need to find another company and is voiding my maintenance agreement. If this is the way they do business with loyal customers then I can only imagine how they will treat new customers.

Sila did a fantastic job replacing my furnace.The job was challenging in both the small space it had to go into as well as the legacy of sub-optimal heating circuit route choices made in the original installation which would need to be fixed.All phases of Sila's effort were very professional from the pre-sales assessment through the hand off to the implementation team to the final verification, tuning and hand off the home owner step. Sila installed an impressive new system which also fixed the issues carrying over from the previous installation. They were very respectful of my time showing up on time/early and worked late to complete the job when they were on site. They left the work site cleaner and neater than they found it. I've owned multiple houses and replaced and rehabbed the HVAC in all of them now and Sila is by far the best experience I've had in this non-trivial undertaking.

I had a problem with my boiler causing the pilot to go out. After several non-returned calls to my regular service person I checked the web for another vendor only to find out that unless I was a regular customer it would take about a week for service. Upon speaking with the service Rep at Sila Heating and Air Conditioning I was able to understand the services they offered and was also given cost expectations along with an appointment for within a few hours. The serviceman arrived early and was able to professionally diagnose and repair the problem quickly. I am quite satisfied with the level of service and look forward to their service in the future.

On Wednesday, September 19 I discovered my hot water heater was leaking. After 14 years i guess it didn't owe me much. I went looking for a deal and found a Big Deal on Angie's list with Sila. I paid $779.00 for a 40 gallon gas fired water heater. I bought the deal on the 19th and less than 24 hours later, it was installed, very much to my satisfaction.Jim, the plumber who did the install arrived on time (actually, a little early, which was fine with me). I had already drained the old unit so about 2 hours later, the new unit was installed and heating up. I checked the final installation after Jim left and noticed a little water on top of the unit. I traced the source to an old joint in the copper plumbing directly above the unit. Jim hadn't touched that joint but clearly the physical act of doing the install affected the old connection. I called Sila and within the hour, Jim was back and the leak was fixed at no additional cost.Bottom line: Nicely down and highly recommended.

Ken followed up with the master technical group at Carrier and was able to determine the problem and correct it. The issue related to an error with the original installation by another company. Great follow up and great service.

I got three quotes for furnace & central AC installation from Mass Save-approved contractors. Sila came in over $5000 MORE than the other two quotes. Crazyyy expensive. Furthermore, the quote wasn't broken down or itemized in any way, so I couldn't see the associated costs for each part. I emailed three times to request itemization, but no dice. They seem to be a high-volume, only service-the-very-wealthy type of outfit to me. I gave them two stars instead of one because the associate who came out to generate the quote for me was really nice and thorough!

It’s a great pleasure to write this review on behalf of Jay, the technician from Sila, that just completed our annual heating system service. Simply put, he did a phenomenal job. Jay looked over the entire system and took care of everything that he found. Our system got a thorough cleaning (inside & out) and Jay replaced some important sensors that were either broken or at the end of their lifetime, saving me from more expensive repairs later. He went well above and beyond my expectations for an annual maintenance service. He was so polite in my home, too. Best of all I, have peace of mind that we will have a comfortable winter season. I called the 24 hour line at 7:30 am to report a build up of frost on an air conditioning unit. Ivan the technician arrived around 11 am consistent with the estimate provided by central office. The issue was diagnosed and resolved and the frost was removed between 11am and 2:30. I am very happy with the service and the result.

These guys are amazing! Our gas furnace died at the end of October, we called Sila for a tune up and they informed us the furnace was too old and should be replaced. From that moment, they worked closely with us throughout the financing and replacement of the furnace. While we were waiting for financing to go through, these guys we able to schedule a last minute furnace replacement while making a contractual agreement for payment. Called last week and had project manager Josh out at the home this past Monday... Install yesterday (YES... 2 day turn around!!!)... Total HVAC replacement with quality Carrier furnace/AC... Though it was 90 out, the new AC cooled things quickly once installed and we noted a marked reduction in humidity in the home... Something that will allow us to run AC at higher setting temp since it will still be comfortable... Very happy and waiting for winter to try out that furnace!

I knew something was up with these guys when quote for installation of a new ductless AC unit dropped from $13K to $3K just because I started poking at the details of the quote. That was a few years ago. The installation was ok. Unit has been working great. Until...No surprise, warranty ran out in April. We turned the unit on last week on a warm day and it no longer worked.Sila came back and gave us a quote of $4,000 to fix the unit (what??? more money to fix it than it cost brand new). Tech said we don't want to replace the unit because a new model will cost $15,000. I found exact model on line for $1,800 (hardware only, not installation materials and labor)Absolute thievery here. Stay away from Sila. They will try to gouge you at every step.

Jason arrived arrived ahead and of schedule and went right to work. He asked about specific issues and methodically examined my 2 AC systems. He was hesitant to point out what I already suspected, a poorly installed 2 year old AC system by a less than reputable HVAC company. My great regret is not knowing about Sila before now. Jason even improved some foil wrapping on the inside system that was shoddily done. I definitely know a lot more about my system than I did before his arrival because he took the time to explain my system and answer my repetitive questions. He spent twice as long than he had planned for thatreason. And as I mentioned he could have easily and rightfully dished the seller of my AC but he took the high road and instead did all he could to repair what he could. If Sila’s frontline are all like Jason they are unbeatable in all aspects of HVAC. I maybe a late comer as a customer but I’m here to stay.

Sila has been great! I have a warranty with them and they honor it without issue. They don’t try and up sell product while they’re here. And they were on time today and stayed to explain all the work to me. I’m glad I switched to them because I haven’t had a problem since starting with them.

Ryan Love is a great technician who isn’t satisfied till the work is done right. His work is very neat and he makes sure you know what he is doing AND why. He followed up a couple of times to make sure we were satisfied.

Needed to upgrade old furnace had Sila come out to my home in Somerville. This was the third company to provide me a quote. They were the only company who pointed out some code concerns regarding my chimneys ability to vent. I purchased a new top of the line high efficiency system. I had to also upgrade my water heater in order to pass code. That was an unexpected cost, but I was thankful to have a professional who knows the codes! To top it off they were able to install everything the next day! I will definitely be recommending them to my church group.

David responded promptly, did an excellent job of diagnosing our problem, and promised to have the work done promptly. Further, he gave us a fair price on the equipment, and followed up with us during the time it took us to vet his proposal. We couldn't be more pleased.

Professional, high standards of quality, and amenable are ways I'd start to describe everyone we came across from Sila who worked on our central AC system. Their prices are competitive, and I can't imagine having a higher quality experience and installation with a fine attention to detail all with a nice personal touch. Sila is one of best A/C companies in Massachusetts. They installed a high velocity system in my home several years ago and while it was an expensive installation, it was worth every cent. Everyone from scheduler, installer, salesperson and maintenance person have been incredibly professional and skilled. Incredible team!!

Always seen Sila trucks in my neighborhood. Needed my hvac systems tuned-up wanted to try someone new since I have been very unhappy with my old provider. I definitely did not make a mistake. Scheduling was very quick. Technician showed up on time and did what he needed. Even took the time to explain things about my system. I already scheduled a tune-up for my cooling system in spring.

We called Sila with a water leak issue and they promptly gave us a time to visit that worked with our schedule. Steve came and quickly diagnosed the problem and was very helpful in solving the issues in a quick and most cost effective manner. I feel that I would have called any other company they would have advised me to fix the problem in the most expensive and quickest way but Steve took the time to give me alternative fixes which truly worked best for us! My father had the company come out and they immediately told him that his furnace was not only dead but also dangerous and told him it was not safe to operate . They then sent out a sales rep who told him it would be $10,000 to replace. We of course insisted he get a second opinion and not one but two specialists told him that the furnace was ABSOLUTELY fine. Sila should be ashamed of themselves...they saw an older customer and assumed they could take advantage of him. I’m disgusted and horrified that they could be out doing this to vulnerable older customers!

The moment the initial visit started we knew we were dealing with pros. Their installers were amazing, patient and knowledgeable. Their follow up was amazing as well. And the system now actually cools our entire home! HIGHLY recommended!

After coming home from work to a freezing house and a furnace not working, I didn’t know who to call to help fix it, but remembered a friend at work had told me they had used a place called Silas for their air conditioning. So I thought why not and gave them a call. Did not regret. Instead of a voice mail, I got a real person which was a pleasant surprise. They didn’t have anyone at the moment, but the rep, James, was very pleasant on the phone and very responsive. He assured me they would try to break someone free and get out to help me. To my surprise they sent a repairman within the hour. Not only did they fix my furnace quickly and at a fair price, they also showed me where a duct was clogged (I guess the previous homeowner had put a towel in a piece of the ductwork to cut off the heat to a section of the family room) and cleared it out for me. Bottom line: I ended up warm and very pleased with the whole experience. Would definitely use again!

You will definitely pay a premium for Sila's services, but you'll benefit from the fact that they are a highly professional outfit. I recommend in particular Brian MacFarland, who provided service when our heat stopped working in November 2021. Brian coordinated and did the repair and did a great job walking us through options in a way that was clear and informative.

Service was great as always. It was very easy to book the appointment and the technician answered all of my questions. He was also nice enough to install a new air filter for free, even though the company changed policy and stopped providing those for free (which I wasn't informed about).

I had a leak in my shower and sent an email form for contact. They called me back right away and scheduled a visit within 2 days. The technician showed up on time, explained and showed me where the problem was coming from then gave me clear options for solving it with pricing. Nov 29 2022 Called for service, my Boiler is leaking lots of water in basement,and heat stopped was told $195 and first 15 min of diagnostic. then and additional $90 each additional 30 minutes , which i agreed to , Tech arrived same day..Great! Tech removed cabinet of boiler , turned Boiler back on Leak started up , he looked water, shut Boiler off , used voltage tool ,suggested replacement, I asked if he could stop leak because otherwise it was running fine. he said he could not because when we repair we do it right.After an additonal 20 to25 minutes he gave me an estimate of $3500. to repair but did also suggest i might consider a new system, agian i asked about the leak , but he said he could not and that i should not run this till repaired.He left with a check for $285. I was dazed! went on youtube .found similar problem. Well a trip to homedepot a purchase of a TACO 007-f5, unscrewed 4 bolts disconnected 2 wires removed then replaced piece reattached new wires (2 of them) 2 hours 20 mins later i had heat! Yes i agreed to the $195. but the extra time looking up part numbers on cell phone and a $3500 repair estimate has me very confused, but not as much as why a TACO 007-f5 ( which im sure they carry in their truck) wasnt even mentioned. I would LOVE a responce to this, because right now i really feel CHEATED out of $90.Timothy KRockland Ma.

Had Sila do some maintenance on my heating system. I ended up having some billing questions around the heating system maintenance I had done. Worked with their team member, Claudine. She was absolutely amazing! She made everything very clear and easy to understand. She even followed up with all the answers to my questions, and paperwork, in email. Thermostat quit in the middle of a heatwave. David and Rob were able to get to me faster than expected and took care of it. It was a good reliable company but not anymore. I have a service contract with them and I scheduled all of my service appointments in June. They rescheduled my AC maintenance twice and it was finally served on Sept 24th. The same is happening now with the oil burner: Oct24th, Nov8th, Dec 1st... Who knows if they finally come. But the most enraging part is that the office is quick to blame you for waiting in wane: the young lady in September instantly told me that my appointment was scheduled for the next day! Today, the moment I called after waiting for 1.5H, I was told (by another person) that the company left a voicemail on my phone warning me that they are not coming. I am writing this review after checking the phone. There were no calls or messages from Sila. Very upsetting and disrespectful. So sad. And it is not even an emergency...

I contacted Silas late on a Friday afternoon because my pipes were frozen and Wes scheduled the appointment right away and Dave came within the same hour. Dave was able to fix the pipes immediately and even told me how to prevent this from happening again in the future. 10/10 would recommend these guys to anyone.

I replaced my gas furnace recently with Sila, it has been working fine so far. I was looking for an invoice to show that I am all paid since I will be selling the house. I called Sila and requested for it, they told me someone from the accounting team will email it me. Didn't expect to get it on the same day, but I received the invoice along with all my payment receipts within an hour from the accounting team, Ginnie. I had a very good experience with Sila from the front end and the back end service, I would definitely recommend Sila to all my friends!

My wife and I bought our house a year ago, and knew our heating system needed to be replaced in the next couple years. This winter it started making noises and we decided to bite the bullet and have our unit replaced. Sila was our first call and they had their salesman, Sam, at our house within a couple days. He was very knowledgeable and helped us make the best choice for us and our specific home. We financed the unit with a mass save loan, which took a couple weeks as we expected it would, but once the loan was finalized Sila got back to us immediately to schedule the installation. We scheduled the installation on a Thursday, and sure enough our heat shut down that very night. Not only were they able to reschedule for that Monday, but they had a service technician at our house Friday morning to restart our system to get us through the weekend. The installation, done by Christian and Gage, went smoothly and we had our heat back! From beginning to end, Sila provided great service and accommodated us in every phase. We would highly recommend their services. Thank you Sila!

Our system went out completely. Because we have a maintenance contract, Sila arranged for same day service. Adnan came out and did a great job. He found the problem quickly, a clogged pump, and completely cleaned it out, and provided a new drain line. He had our system up and running quickly, and he explained everything very thoroughly. Adnan was an excellent communicator, friendly, efficient, and left everything spotlessly clean.

Water heater broke and flooded basement area. Called Lily at Sila and she managed to arrange for licensed plumber Michael to come over and get to work installing a new water heater within an hour. Cost was on the higher side $3179 - but Michael removed all excess water without charge; also did a great job. I ended up with an AO smith professional (commercial) grade water heater. I did some online checking after the fact and learned that there are real performance benefits and energy savings that come with higher quality water heaters.Anyway it was great to get the problem addressed so quickly. I am willing to pay extra for service, quality and convenience.

Sila was timely and professional. The workers handled themselves very well, even when my kids were around. The product works great! Our house did not have ducts and they were able to make it work. What a difference in the hot summers!

Really quick and timely, for a good price point! I had a faulty heating system which would only work half of the time. Sila swooped in, did their thing and saved me and my family from having a miserable winter indoors. Would highly recommend these guys, very professional, timely and affordable!

BE CAREFUL WITH THIS COMPANY - I WAS PROVIDED WITH MISINFORMATION and PUSHED TOWARD A SYSTEM THAT I AM NOT INTERESTED IN!!I was specifically interested in a Unico System (high velocity, small ducts) and called Sila to discuss. I was told the following by a project manager at the company:1. This system would cost $30,000 to install! (I spoke to the manufacturer who reported that the equipment cost was ~$6,000). Apparently, they would charge $24,000 in labor to install a system that has a smaller footprint...*My home is 800 sq feet for reference :)2. I was told by Sila that the Unico system is NOT compatible with any boiler...this is ABSOLUTELY UNTRUE. I discussed this with technicians at Unico. Obviously, the boiler needs to meet specifications to heat your home, but the Unico system is compatible with any boiler that meets those specs.3. I was pushed to consider a conventional system - which I am NOT interested in...If I could give Sila 0 Stars I would!!

Sila is an excellent company to work with. They just finished installing a new A/C system and like with the combi boiler they installed two years ago they did it on an emergency basis one day after calling them for help. Justin and Jimmy did my A/C install this week and were professional and friendly. Sila isn't the cheapest option for HVAC installations, but you get what you pay for with top quality equipment, installation, and maintenance.

We went from having a leaky water heater to replacing our hot water and boiler with a more efficient combined model in the space of three days and it was as painless as possible. From our first emergency call (possibly Nick?), everyone was responsive and really helpful. Guy came out and explained our options (several times), pricing out possibilities and answering questions. Bob (project manager?) came out and explained everything. Kenny and Jordan, the installers, were especially wonderful. They showed up on the dot and got the job done by the earliest estimate (two days - but done very early the second day). They explained everything (several times) and answered all our questions - and cleaned up our basement so that it was cleaner than when they arrived. Just overjoyed.

The Stoneham Team is first class in quality and integrity. My 90 year old mother is home alone and anytime I have a heating or AC issue, I can always count on these guys to be there. My Mom knows Jake and Tony on a first name basis. A great team who knows how to take care of their customers and gets the problems fixed quickly and cost effectively....

John Gulstrom, the HVAC tech was considerate of the COVID 19 precautions and took the necessary steps to assure for the safety of the owner. His work was thorough and his summary of existing condition of the two condensers and two air handlers, was excellent. If any maintenance of the systems is required in the future I would seek him out for the service.

After initially having a poor experience with Sila, in which I believed I was severely overcharged for a minimal amount of work, the company's customer service team reached out to me directly to resolve the matter. They offered to refund a portion of what I had paid to leave the final cost right where it should have been from the start for this type of service (adjusting a garbage disposal install). Great on them for paying attention to customer reviews and for caring enough to make the call to me and resolve the issue!I said from the start that the work that was done was quick and of high quality. The only issue was the overcharge. Sila has resolved this issue for me, but it must still be noted that had I just accepted the overcharge and not left a poor review, I would still be left having paid more than double what I should have for this amount of work.

Guy, the service technician, was on time, professional and completed the replacement of our pressure expansion tank promptly. What more could you ask for? I have been using Sila for years and they never let me down.

I have a Heating Furnace I called this company to service. When the technician showed up, the first thing he asked me was if I wanted to change the System. I said no because the system was working fine. The technician went to his truck supposedly to get his tools. He was there for over 20 minutes. He came back, he said he was organizing his truck because I was his first service. I don't know what he did, my system stopped working after he left. It was a cold week and had no heat. When I call them, the receptionist told me that they could not send someone before two week. I was charged 399.99 for the service for I usually pay around $250.00 and I ended up with a broken system. They still have not come to fix it.

We have been customers of SILA since 2007. The technicians who service our unit always arrive on time and are professional. Today's appt. with Gae was no exception. He worked efficiently and answered any questions I had. Great service!

I was able to get an appointment in a reasonable amount of time. The technician who came to our home diagnosed the problem quickly and delivered bad news about problems with how our system was installed in a very clear way. He agreed to document the problems so that can pursue this with the installer.

From start to finish, this was a great experience. Once I made my appointment, Sila contacted me when their were cancellations to get me in sooner. The service advisor, John G was aces!! The technician was early, which was great ( and called to make sure we could be there). After our routine maintenance was completed, I had an additional question about home humidification. I had no access called Sila. They sent out a tech on the same day and it was 93 degrees out. I called at 11am and Craig was at my house at 130pm. I explained what was wrong Craig found the issue in 10 minutes. He repaired the issue and did a system check before he left. This was the first time I used them and won't be the last. Having issues with baseboard heating...I have Sila under contract so naturally call them for help.Window was 8-11, Brian MacFarland, Sr Service Tech, showed up at 8:30 and was done in under an hour with review and estimates. He provided 3 options and quoted all of them. He also said he could do the work next week - no waiting. We also talked about unrelated work which he further quoted- and gave options.Brian was a polite, professional with a good attitude. Great customer services! Called me within 30min heads up and arrived at my house on time. After diagnosing my furnace, the tech explained the issues and gave me a couple of options. We went with the best option that the technician recommended which is to replace our old furnace. They called me the same day to schedule the replacement, and they told me they can do it the next day which I was surprised how fast the turnover that Sila has. Brendan came in the snow and the sleet yesterday to fix our nonfunctioning gas boiler. This took place over a few hours where he also had to go to S. Boston for the circuit board. He was very patient, personable, capable, and especially solicitous of his distancing as we are elderly people. Even after the heat went back on in our radiators, he insisted that he wait until the temperature on the boiler went to a certain level before he satisfied himself that he did the job fully. Happy that he took care of us yesterday and this morning to feel our very warm radiators!

Our heater stopped working at the end of the workweek; we called Sila & they were able to have someone at our place Saturday morning to fix it. The engineer Michael was really easy to work with - personable, friendly, clear when explaining the HVAC issue. He was able to identify the problem very quickly, find the part that was needed, and get our heater up & running again by early afternoon. We appreciated the swiftness with which he dealt with the problem & his helpful & personable demeanor. All-around good experience with Sila; would recommend.

I can’t recommend Sila highly enough- we had them replace an old oil furnace with a gas unit and add AC in 2021 and we have been floored with how helpful, honest, hard working, and knowledgeable each Sila employee has been. From the installs to the (free!) biannual service, every interaction has been highly professional and courteous. I am a very curious (and somewhat pedantic) engineer, who is constantly asking questions about how things work/challenging why they are set up the way that they are, and I have been very impressed with each and every tech I have worked with. During the twice-yearly service visits since the install, Mike S has taken the time to show me and talk me through each step of his very exhaustive checklist, explaining what he looks for and why, all the while carefully handling our system and documenting each finding. Take it from a truly nit-picky AC geek, these guys are great!

Technician was professional really knew his stuff about Bosch Greenstar condensing boilers. Had to order a part and they kept us constantly informed of timeline to install the part. Super fast and paid attention to every detail. Even answered technical questions for me.

A superb experience from start to finish! In a fortunate turn of events, my former regular HVAC company never returned my call after a week when my furnace decided to act up. I called Sila on a Saturday am and was pleasantly surprised when an actual person answered the phone and guaranteed me that a tech would be there, despite a major snow storm heading our way. Hopeful but skeptical, I was pleasantly surprised when the office called to confirm that the tech was otw and Ken showed up as promised. Had an issue with my HVAC system icing up. Their technician, Guy, showed up and quickly evaluated the system. Although repair was an option, he strongly recommended improvements that could be made to better safeguard the system. Guy was clear and took time to explain the reasoning behind his recommendations, which was appreciated as I inherited the system from the previous homeowner. He wound up bringing a project rep in to discuss longer term options of system replacement with me as well. Cost is certainly a concern, but both representatives were transparent in their quotes for system repair vs replacement and have given me time to evaluate.

I have been doing business with Sila for many years and have a comprehensive maintenance contract for my house. They are highly professional, competent, responsive and really outstanding to work with. I have a great deal of piece of mind knowing that they are always there when I need them. After waiting 5 weeks for my annual AC service I received a VM that they were cancelling my appointment today because they were too busy with other repairs. I definitely will not use them but who can I call now since we are in the prime time for AC. They did the same thing last year until I posted a negative Google review and I received a call that they had a technician they could send. At the same time they asked if I would remove my negative review. I did remove it and foolishly called them back this year. Never again !!

Very satisfied with Sila. Harry, the technician installing my new water heater was a pleasure. I was in tears knowing I needed a new water heater for the original one I had was not even five years old. He took the time to explain the issue, how to prevent further issues, and calmed my anxiety. I have many friends who can offer me free plumbing but Harry will be called first if I run into any more issues regarding all the services Sila offers, wonderful man :) I was very comfortable with him in my home which is not the norm for me regarding strangers. I called Sila on a Friday afternoon to help repair a gas boiler that was not operational. They were able to send out a technician first thing Monday morning and confirmed appointment the day before. Brian showed up promptly on Monday to diagnose the issue. Replaced spark ignition module and pilot assembly, got the system up and running very quickly (total appointment time around 2 hours, including sourcing parts). He was professional and courteous to work with, provided extra tips and suggestions about servicing boiler, and wore a face mask (COVID precautions) and shoe covers (to protect floors). I was very happy with the service provided by Brian and Sila.

Had a new carrier central air conditioner install to replace an existing system on May 16, 2023. Installers Jim and Justin were professional and did a great job. I would recommend using Sila for future work.

Scam. Without doing any tune up I was charged full rate. Claimed I had a damaged heat exchanger and possible CO leak but didn’t use any thermal imaging to show. I got a second opinion and was told it’s Normal wear for it’s age of 12 years. Without any real work done Sila stated I needed an entire new unit. Quoted me $15,000! For a new unit that cost replacement is $6000-$7,000.I was able to get a tune up and one part replaced from a very honest company for a total of $400. My system is now running great NO THANKS TO SCAM, THIEF, CROOKS, Sila.They also tried leaving me with no heat during the coldest stretch of the year while my fiancée is pregnant. Absolutely astonishing the lack of honesty and care for the customer. I would never recommend this company even to my worst enemy. Sad company’s like this exist. Do not let Sila near your property. Absolute crooks.I almost forgot, the tech that was there to service the unit refused to put it all back together claiming the sales person that was on their way to gouge me and give me a ridiculous quote was going to put it back together as he may need to look inside. Well the sales rep came and when I asked him to put it back together he gave me a look. “ I’m not a tech so I can’t really touch this, not to mention I don’t have any tools anyways”. Had them complete a water heater installation. The guy they sent over was quick, efficient, and left my place cleaner than he found it! Even their behind the scenes service is fantastic! Scheduling an appointment with Sila to fix my furnace in January 2023 was easy and they provided service the same day. My technician David was super helpful, knowledgeable, and worked quickly to resolve my issue. There's probably cheaper options out there but based on my experience Sila has a great reputation for a reason.

Unreasonable charge/expect hidden feeI’ll let you decide if the fee I was charged was reasonable. Initial charge (before dispute), $630 for a HVAC check/assessment. This charge was just for checking the HVAC, no other service was performed.Here’s a breakdown of the charge before my dispute.The cost included $175 for travel and first 15 mins, two 30 mins intervals fee ($90 each each interval) and $275 of difficult accessible fee (they won’t tell you about this last fee until they give you the invoice.)The technician arrived at 12:45pm. The service lasted approx 30-40 mins. However, I was charged for 75 mins. Upon arrival, the technician went into my condo without any equipment which later resulted in him running up and down to grab things from his vehicle. The technician spent over 25 mins just to generate invoice for his recommended service (a lot of typing and deleting). It was obvious why their technician did this. Sila charge by 30 mins interval, their technicians are incentivized to prolong their service time. This is definitely not what I expect from 4.8 stars rating on Google.Potential customers should also be aware that if your HVAC is not on floor level, Sila will charge an extra $275 for difficult accessibility. This fee is not an industry standard fee. I had my HVAC tuneup by a different company and was not charged for any difficult access fee. Even though their website advertised no hidden fee, you should expect hidden fees for their services.

Called Sila during a heat wave when everyone else was booking out 1-2 weeks. Came out the next day.The unit in question is in a horrible tight attic crawl space. Steven got in there and fixed the problem with no complaints and a great attitude. It wasn’t simple but he figured out how to fix the problem rather than just changing parts. Excellent mechanic and great service all around.

What an amazing experience we had with Sila!! Our Central AC system was installed by another company a few years back and unfortunately has always has issues. We had John from Sila come check it out and he immediately identified the underlying issues (due to improper installation by the previous company) and what needed to be done to rectify them. He was awesome, honest, and trustworthy. John was able to get the minor repairs done to get the system at least running again on the hottest day of the year, with the more major repair scheduled for the very next day. Sila really took care of us and will be our new AC company for good. We couldn’t be happier!!

A TALE OF TWO HEAT PUMPS!After dealing with the same local HVAC company for the past 25+ years who installed 3 Trane heat pumps and two air handlers in my condo, I was faced again with heat pump issues. The noise emitting every 20 minutes or so was deafening. I contacted my local HVAC company, they came 3 times in a 2 week period, each time they were unable to identify the problem, despite some 20-30 videos I provided . Frustrated, I contacted a local HVAC distributor for a recommendation and was given Sila. I called Sila and was able to get an appointment two days later on Friday afternoon. I was thrilled to learn their service is 24/7 and I can say first hand, it truly is 24/7! As luck would have it, Ryan Love was the technician sent. Within minutes of meeting Ryan, based on his experience and his professionalism, I knew I had the right company and the right man! Ryan was able to force the system into defrost mode (which the other company was not able to do) but it remained quiet. The next day, at 6am, it was banging, so I called Sila. I spoke with Lilly who was very knowledgeable and most helpful offering suggestions to help minimize the noise. She booked another appointment for Monday at 7am. Monday at 6:45am, Ryan was there to dissect the issue – not only was he able to force it into defrost mode again, he was also able to hear the issue, which he identified as a defective reverse valve. We discussed my options - repair the existing Trane unit, replace the Trane unit or replace the complete system, heat pump and air handler with Carrier. I was under the impression my Trane unit was under warranty as it was installed in 2016, I later learned the local HVAC Company I had been using never registered the replacement unit so my warranty was not in place. After reviewing my options and Ryan Love patiently answering all my many questions, I decided to have Sila replace my Trane system with a new Carrier heat pump and air handler system. Ryan came on Sunday to take measurements and the system would be installed the next day. The crew arrived at 730am, headed up by the foreman, Tom, along with exceptional technicians Ken & Chris who worked tirelessly all day long outside in the cold and in the basement without so much as a break. Ken and Chris were both polite, professional, friendly, respectful and knowledgeable. Tom took the time to check into duct questions, water exit concerns and electrical upgrades and in all three cases, we were good to go with no additional issues and he explained all in detail. He provided me with updates as the day progressed and was beyond helpful. What a terrific crew this was! Over that weekend, Christmas weekend I might add, Ryan called me with followup questions and provided info about the upcoming inspection, which, went well with no issues. On a side note: my direct neighbor had heat pump issues the following week and as a result of my discussing the Sila service level I had just received with my installation, the following week, my neighbor ordered a new Sila Carrier system!My sincerest thanks to the Sila install team of Tom, Ken and Chris for their assistance and efforts on my behalf as well as your in-house crew of Lilly, Wes, Dominique and Claudine - my thanks to each of you. And especially to Ryan Love, you are the most professional, courteous, knowledgeable and skilled technician whose experience and expertise are of the highest caliber, I feel truly blessed to have met you and thank you for everything! You are a real asset to your company and an outstanding representative of Sila. Kudos to you, Ryan Love and all the extraordinary people at Sila, my thanks to you all!

They came out and ripped out my old AC and heating system, and replaced it all in a day. When they came out to survey my house they told me on a Friday they could start work on a Monday. The turnaround time was amazing and I would highly recommend them to others.

Sila should be called SILA THE RIPOFF COMPANY. My Lennox furnace (from 2014) failed during the record cold snap on 2/5/2023. I called Sila and said it was a Lennox, and what parts were working (fan, electronic ignition) and what weren't (no flame, no heat). Sila's phone rep explained that for weekend service just having a technician come to the house would cost $375, plus $90 per half-hour after that to fix anything. Steep, yes, but they told me they had a fully stocked truck so the parts would be available. It was very cold out! so I let them come. After about 10 minutes in the basement, the service tech informed me that the gas valve on my furnace was dead and needed to be replaced. So you have it on the truck, right? No, Lennox parts have to be special ordered. We can't contact their warehouse until Monday morning. Then he asked for payment of $375. I pointed out that the truck was supposed to be fully stocked and that I had told the person on the phone that I had a Lennox furnace. If Lennox parts are not carried on the truck I could have waited until Monday morning for a regular service call at $125 instead of the weekend price of $375. Nope! He insisted on full payment based on listening to a tape of the call. But that's not all, folks! He quoted me $1,150 for parts and labor ON TOP OF THE WEEKEND CHARGE of $375. He told me that price before he left. Then he called me again on Sunday to verify $1,150 and ask me if I'd like to schedule it? And then Sila sent me 2 follow up emails trying to schedule the work. No plumber has EVER tried so hard to rip me off. Once was enough. No thanks. My regular plumber charges $100 for a housecall and does not deceive his customers. He had me send him a cellphone pic of my furnace, and of the model and SN of the gas valve. He verified with Lennox that it was under warranty (10 year warranty, we're 9 years in.... so the part was free). SILA THE RIPOFF COMPANY didn't bother to ask about warranty coverage, so were they planning to charge me for the part that was free? Once the part arrived, my plumber was able to put it in, in under 30 minutes. He charged me $100 for the housecall and $80 for his time which ALSO included fixing a leaky sink in the same visit. So, let's recap. My plumber charged a grand total of $180, for a visit which included not only fixing my furnace with a FREE part because he bothered to check the warranty coverage, but also included fixing a leaky sink. SILA THE RIPOFF company charged me $375 for a weekend housecall when they KNEW I had a Lennox furnace, they KNEW they didn't carry Lennox parts on their truck, and they KNEW they were going to try to get me to pay them for ANOTHER housecall plus parts and labor... and their PLAN was to charge me $1,150 on top of the first call. For a grand total of (they hoped) $1,525 for 2 visits which would have totaled under 45 minutes total time spent in the house. Versus $180 total from my honest regular-guy plumber who also fixed something else during his visit. DON'T USE SILA. DON'T LET YOUR FRIENDS USE SILA. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Worst company ever! I had an appointment scheduled over a month in advance. Called less than 24 hours before to cancel the appointment due to no available techs. I asked how this is possible they said because people have no heat. Wouldn’t it make sense to leave some available to service the customers you promised to see that day? Only makes sense but they don’t care as the emergency calls create more profit for them. I’ve been a customer for years and this is how they treat them. Plenty of smaller companies would love the business and I’m sure have a better business model. This place chases $$$ and cost me money for taking the day off! I was warned by people in the business that they are pushers for sales guess because I have a newer system I’m not a priority. Good way to start 2018 off Sila!

Tony came and diagnosed a tricky problem with our a/c unit. The unit was still functioning well despite the issue, and the only indication of the problem was an email alert. Tony was able to find the problem and followed up with a repair once the parts came in. I would not recommend Sila. The first time I scheduled the appointment, the technician never showed up within the three hour period. The technician ended up coming the next day. The cost ended up being almost 3x the dispatch cost for 30 seconds of total effort.All around not a great experience and poor value for cost.

I was referred to Sila by a friend. We needed someone to take a look at my brother's hvac unit inside his home office. The home office is located inside our attic so we were experiencing heat issues some of our equipment was overheating. I spoke with Kim on the phone several times and the communication and professionalism was great. They sent a rep out to us last minute. My brother was satisfied with the service. I will be recommending them again to my friend who is opening a gym soon.

Altogether, I'm very satisfied with the experience. Clearly, a first-rate outfit with a top-notch team. I'm so baffled how bad this organization is. Started strong and responsive with an AC issue. Heat issues in the house. Sila came and changed 2 thermostats. Problem got worse. Sila came back and insisted all set . I knew zone wasnt working. Technician insisted it was. I was right. Never worked. Came out again and tech had to order a part. Never came back and we gave it a few weeks. Called again. Very apologetic and we set a time for a Supervisor to come out. Had to take off a day at work. Guy NEVER showed. Called Sila and rep said it was on the schedule so she had no answers. I told her to forget it and she convinced me to wait for a phone call from a manager. I agreed. Guess what? NEVER called!!! U cant make this stuff up. Stay away from Sila!!!

Kervin did a great job on my HVAC in the basement and also the mini split in my rental apartment attached to house. He answered my many questions. He was patient and respectful as my 76 year old brain tried to take it all in. I would definitely like for him to return for my fall checkup in November.Thank you good folks at SILA.

Of course, my furnace stopped working on a cold Sunday. After many tries, I could not get a return call from any repair service. Until I called this company. They promptly answered all of my questions about their service including costs, and scheduled for the next morning at 7am. The next day was a holiday, and snowing pretty hard. But the HVAC service person, Guy, arrived on time. He inspected the furnace, which unfortunately was out of date, required hard to obtain parts and would be expensive to repair. I decided to to replace the old furnace. Guy explained all of our options, re-inspected to furnace and our cellar, checked prices and rebates. After making our decision, Sila came the next day at 7am with a full crew to replace and install the new furnace. I must commend this company for their swift and professional response by the emergency HVAC servicer Guy; the staff for being available and answering my call on a Sunday morning, and the next day furnace replacement crew.

I received courteous, knowledgeable service from Sila and Harry Plowman today. He performed a check of my heating system. I get dependable service that is reasonably priced with Sila.

Great and affordable service to take care of a leaking toilet. The flange had to be replaced and the toilet re-seated. Eric did a wonderful job. It took about 1.5 hours and cost a total of around $300 (including a few parts: roughly $30-40 worth).

I've used Sila for both a new oil boiler and a kitchen faucet issue. The boiler turned out to be an emergency (10+-year-old old boiler cracked) and they were quick to answer the phone and quick to replace. Communication was great, even on a Sunday in winter. The faucet repair was smooth. Roy answered all of my (probably stupid) questions and was very considerate, putting on shoe covers since it was raining outside, asking before doing anything, etc. I'm a new homeowner so I learned a lot across these interactions, and I have had zero issues working with Sila.

Sila installed our AC/heat system. They are always professional and timely. Our installation included a maintenance plan. Twice a year a technician inspects and cleans our system. The technicians are always courteous, efficient and competent. I had to call once due to the system not working , sila had someone out the next day (it wasn’t the system it was something i mistakenly unplugged ) . The repair visit was covered under the warranty so no charge ! Today , Jay was our technician. Jay was friendly and professional!

Ryan Love was so helpful. He clearly explained things, helped me out with some rebate questions, quickly and efficiently installed my new filter and grate and checked on the final installation details. Excellent!

Using Sila was the best decision I could have made. From the technician Kenny who gave me an thorough explanation of why the gas unit needed to be replaced and how it would be handle, to the service unit who came in and handle the job professionally. I had to schedule service for the chiller unit (a Whalen fan coil unit) in my condo. Sila was recommended to me as a very reputable company. I made the appointment and was completely clear about the kind of unit that needed service. I repeated it, also saying that it was a very large building. I did that because some companies can service these, and others can't. The person on the phone seemed more interested in making an appointment than listening. Nonetheless, they could get there before the weekend which was a big plus because we've had some hot weather. 2 hours before the appointment several days later they called me and said, oh we don't service those. Sorry. So now we've had a long delay in getting it fixed, I totally rearranged my schedule for nothing, and are starting back at zero.

David came to my property in Somerville for a leaking central air system. He showed up at exactly the agreed upon time and was friendly and expeditious in his analysis of the aged system. Upon investigation he found that the system did not have a major leak as we had feared and he was able to get the levels adjusted and it running properly again. Sila was able to send someone out the day after we called, and Adnan was great! He was on time and worked efficiently. He also thoroughly explained what broke in our system, what he did to fix it, and how to prevent it from happening in the future. Our A/C was back up in running in under 2 hours, and he managed to do all this with a screaming baby and barking dog in the background. Highly recommend!

Had the BEST EVER experience with Sila Heating, Air Conditioning and Plumbing. Called this morning about an a/c problem which came up in a home inspection as I am selling my house. Called Sila and about 2 hours later, a technician arrived and fixed the problem. He also changed the filter on my indoor a/c. The technician was polite, efficient and knowledgeable. I am so used to technicians showing up late or not at all or not having the right parts needed for the job. Sila Heating, A/C and plumbing get it right the first time!

Ryan came to check on my Ecobee Thermostat and turned off the HVAC fan which I could not turn off. He was very knowledgeable and professional in his interaction with me. Sila has done a lot of work in my home and I have never been disappointed with their work.

Not sure what type of quality control there is for someone to become a builder, but we ended buying a gut renovated condo 5 years ago that’s full of cheap finishes and faulty installation of HVAC and water heating systems. When we first called Sila folks to take a look, there were upfront about the issues our system has, and said not much can be done in terms of repairs. Then , we called another highly rated company, who told us everything was good and just needed to fix something. We obviously believed that fake reality and paid over a grand with no fix per se. The system failed completely within a day and we were left with no heat. Then we called Sila folks back, who accommodated us at the earliest slot and and replaced the entire HVAC and air conditioning system. Finally, we learnt our lesson- Never to trust cheap companies. Though the technicians at Sila are expensive, they know what they are doing, and I have complete trust on them and would only want them to touch our system for any maintenance. I recommend Sila to anyone in a heart beat.

When I had a heating emergency just before the coldest day of the year, Sila responded the fastest. Gaetano quickly diagnosed the problem, replaced the necessary parts, and kept the house clean while he was doing it. No complaints about the service!

We've used SILA twice now in the past 5 months- the first time was to have a new furnace installed, and most recently was more of an urgent call because our AC wasn't working properly in the middle of a week of 90+ degrees in July. Both times, we were extremely satisfied with the service - SILA was extremely professional, responsive and helpful. During the recent AC issue, I had left a message over the weekend and asked if they would be able to send someone over first thing Monday morning to fix the issue- I received a call from them at 7:45am on Monday letting me know they could have someone there at 9am. The serviceman arrived at 8:45am and by 9:30am the AC was fixed and running properly again. I would recommend and have recommended SILA to anyone needing HVAC work or repairs.

People, I could write an entire manifesto on why you should run, not walk, to Sila. But I will sum it up as best as I can.Three years ago I used a different company to install a new HVAC system. It was all top of the line equipment and I paid $15,000 for it.It NEVER worked.A chorus of voices urged me to call Sila.The minute Harry showed up, I knew I was in good hands. He said the system was great, but was appalled by the installation. Wrong wiring. Wrong thermostat. Electrical components mounted outdoors and exposed to the elements.Harry worked in conjunction with his electrician colleague, Joe, to set up a plan to get the system up and running.This was NOT a simple fix, my friends. But this crew would not be deterred.I feel like any other team would have just thrown their hands up and said, “Sorry lady,” and walked out the door.But Harry and Tim were truly in my corner and they wanted to figure this out for me. It wasn’t just a professional endeavor for them. They took it personally as people who were looking out for my well being.I know Sila is a big company with a great reputation and I’m sure all of their technicians are awesome. Ryan Love came in for a heating tune-up on our gas boiler. He was very friendly and happy to explain what he was doing, and diagnosed several problems—he fixed a wiring issue after a lot of tinkering around, and told me how to attach a new condensate pump myself rather than pushing me to buy the one he had at the company markup. Definitely would use again.

This review is being written by Anne, not Kevin!The experience with Sila was top notch from the beginning to the end. Graham was our salesperson, but checked in on a daily basis to make sure everything was going smoothly. He also came up with an AC plan to fit our budget. I felt like he listened to me and he delivered. The people who did the actual installation were wonderful as well--worked hard, put booties on their shoes to respect my home (although it was not necessary), and were good at handling my changes which took them extra time. The person I communicated with on the job was Josh. He was amazing--great guy, polite, informative-- and a super hard worker. It was very hot when he did the installation (he was in crawl space in my attic)-- and he never complained. Not only he make my change with a smile, he said, It is your house and you should have it the way you want it. which made me feel much less like a pain! Sila may be a bit more money, but so worth it! There were no surprise overages, they came when they said they would and they were super professional. At the end, another man came out and showed me how to use the system and make sure I was all set, then Graham called me a few days later to check in. Class act all the way!

Fast, professional and expensive. Update, I decided to use Sila again and scheduled a service visit. I was told the tech would arrive between 8:00-10:00 and would call 30 minutes prior. No tech showed between 8:00-10:00 and no call received. I called Sila and they said he would be arriving between 10:00-2:00 and would call 30 minutes prior. No tech showed between 10:00-2:00 and no call received. I wasted 6 hours waiting for Sila.

We learned about SILA from our friends, as they had used them in the past. This is a great company, and we were happy to have Justin and Jordan to make it all happen. They put in a new HVAC system, including a compressor, and brought everything up to code. We will absolutely be using them in the future.

We recently had the annual maintenance done on our ductless mini split system, which we use for AC in the summer and heat in the winter. Jason advised a thorough cleaning of the air handlers, which was definitely needed. He did an excellent job. The system is definitely running better now. He was patient with us, and took the time to answer our questions and advise us how to get the most out of our system. We are very pleased with the work he did. Highly recommended!

Bought an old house that Sila has been servicing for years. Wasn't sure what to expect but they have been easy to work with, schedule, and get information from. Service tech who came to our house was very knowledgeable and gave great tips on how to make our system even more efficient.

We hired Sila to upgrade an antiquated steam and forced hot air HVAC system at our 130 year-old home. Dale Colburn and his team were exceptional. They came several times with their in-house engineer to ensure the new systems were sized and laid out perfectly and so that we clearly understood how all the new ducts would flow. They also installed two new tankless water heaters as part of the project. Having the myraid services they provide - HVAC, electrical, plumbing - made it super convenient and worth every penny. And they've been very responsive with help getting the system fully set-up and fine tuned. We highly recommend them!

Got it figured out right way and gave me some excellent advice on how to upgrade the system for greater efficiency. I have a major component due for replacement ASAP, and because of his input, I have a better plan than just swapping in a new tank. It's complicated :^)Anyway, I've been with Sila for HVAC and plumbing since 2012 when the installed our high-velocity UNICO system. All the techs have been informed and efficient. They are happy to explain the details of the work required and often can present different options based on different price points.ORIGINAL REVIEWWe couldn't be happier with the high-velocity central A/C system that Sila installed in our 100+-year-old Victorian during a July heat wave. Steve and the crew were easy to work with, neat, and FAST. We were up an running in a week. The follow-up has been terrific as well. We hired Sila for a complicated gas leak repair in early December. Sila had help on the scene almost immediately. We worked with Elliott M. and Dave P., who were both outstanding! In my home, I noticed that there was an elevated level of carbon monoxide in my 4-year-old daughter's room. Sila had installed my Rinnai tankless water heater back in January, so I thought that there might have been a leak from the installation.When the technician (his name was Guy) arrived, he inspected everything and it turned out that my furnace was malfunctioning and that was the cause of the CO. He explained what was going on and was very thorough. He said that the system had to be replaced and went over all the options available without trying to upsell anything or be pushy.We had technicians there the same day and they worked late into the evening. Unfortunately, they needed a part that is not normally stocked on the service vans, and had to come back the next day. That would mean no heat in my home for the night in November. They went out and bought space heaters to make sure my house wasn’t an icebox and had someone come over the next day to finish up the install.During the whole process, all of the technicians, installation professionals, and other workers for Sila were very professional and polite. I used them to put in my tankless water heater during a very cold January, and now a furnace in a cold November. They are very prompt with excellent response time, which is clutch in New England in the winter. Having a reliable company that you know will be able to fix the problems going on in your home when you need it done quickly while providing great service and doing excellent work at the same time is invaluable as a homeowner.I would recommend SIla to anyone who needs service on your home. They do a great job and are easy to work with. I know that I will be using them in the future with any home maintenance/repairs that I have come up.

I called Sila because my AC unit was emitting an unpleasant smell. I didn't actually need any repair, but what impressed me was that though the technician noted that our AC unit was aging out, he didn't try to sell us a new unit. He pointed out the potentially troubling spots, but told us that the unit was in remarkable shape for it's age.It may seem like a small thing, but I really appreciate the honesty and integrity. It was nice to get a genuine human rather than a salesman. I will be going back to Sila when my unit _does_ need to be replaced.

Our air conditioning broke in the middle of a heat wave and Sila went out of their way to have someone come to the house to give us an estimate for replacement very quickly. The estimator did a great job of providing us with options that were available immediately and explain everything that would be done. We signed paperwork right away and were delighted that the installation was scheduled for the next morning. The installation crew arrived on time, was professional and respectful, and had the system up and running by mid-afternoon. Finally, a technician came to the house that evening to make final adjustments and make sure everything worked properly. Overall, the speed of the service was fantastic and we were comfortable with all of the employees.One thing that they could improve on is in the clean up. Our basement where the equipment is located and most of the work was performed should have been swept or vacuumed before the crew left. They cleaned up the trash and took away all the old equipment, but things were still pretty dirty and we had to clean it ourselves.

I recently had Sila check my unit for a yearly review and was expecting a long wait to be seen due to COVID. I spoke with James who answered all my questions and was able to get a technician out as early as the next day! Sila installed our boiler last year and we are so glad we found them. From start to finish they did an amazing job. SILA replaced our high velocity heat and AC system and they did a fantastic job. It runs smoothly and efficiently. Graham was our project manager and he’s buttoned up, professional, accommodating and easy to work with. When you go with SILA, you get the best. They aren’t the cheapest, but you get what you pay for and it was worth every penny to know the system is top notch.SILA also did a sump pump replacement and they did a fantastic job on that too. Not only did the replace with better equipment, they made the whole sump pump area cleaner and more organized. It was essentially a hole in the floor but now their is fresh concrete around the hole and a covering.Can’t recommend this guys enough unless you’re trying to save dollars by cutting corners.

Our heat went out in February of course as we were going through a cold snap. Sila was quick to set up an appointment and the two technicians arrived promptly at 7am. They took a look at the heating system and provided us 3 options for repairs (one basic that would get our heating on, one that would fix another problem along with the basic, and another that would also clean the system along with the others). We talked about how long the heater should last and what would be best but there was no pressure. We ended up doing all the suggested work since the system should have another 10 years left in it. Work was done in under 2 hours and I can already start to feel my toes again. :)

Dave showed up early (after asking if he could do so) and was kind, listened, and was methodical in troubleshooting the issue. He fixed it and even answered a bunch of my questions about operating the system. I'm so grateful!!

Responded promptly for frozen pipes. Normal service guy took 12 hours to return my call. By then Dave had everything repaired and up and running. They have a new cudtomer!

My central air was not cold. I called Sila. John Gulstrom came to our house. He found out possible leaks within minutes and gave me a quote to fix it. However he said it is not recommended because my unit was made in 1989 and it' is too old to be worthwhile repairing. He recommended to install a new unit. His professional knowledge totally won me over. I trusted him 100%

Within two days, they replace the old heating and air-conditioning system, with the new one lifting it over the house into the backyard very professional. Very grateful for the whole team!. It’s a great company.!!

Relied on this company for 15years--absolutely committed to customer satisfaction. Good work is hardly unique but what is extraordinary is the fact they stay with you every minute until the problem is solved...had an irksome water heater with intermittent problems making it hard to identify the issue....their guys (hats off to Kenny, Mike L, and Young) got me set...time pressure as I have a plane tomorrow and they came back to correct. I know this unhesitatingly: they will not let me down nor will they disappoint any customer.

My water heater decided to leak in the middle of the night and I called in first thing in the morning and got Deidra on the phone. She is amazing!! She actually calmed me down and was so helpful with getting me set up with a plumber to come over. Techs Brian and Kyle showed up about two hours after I placed my initial call, they diagnosed the problem with my HVAC unit, instantly remedied one of the problems and ordered a new part for the other problem. Update: (After a call back from Sila they offered a partial refund of $175.00 on Jan 08,22) Requested a service call for maintenance on Dec 22 2021 tech noticed a bad flue sensor - they did not have it available and would have to return, scheduled service appointment Dec 27, 2021, the tech replaced the flue sensor (5minutes) and charged me $463.00 and $175.00 Servive charge.

I recently had a Gas Boiler replaced with Sila. I was looking for an final invoice to show that I am all paid since I am selling the house. I called Sila and requested for it, they told me someone from the accounting team would email it me. I didn't expect to get it within a few minutes from the accounting admin, Alicia. I had an amazing experience with Sila, from beginning to end. I would definitely recommend Sila to all my friends and family!

I'll start with the good. My AC stopped working so I called a couple of places but they were booked and wouldn't be able to come over same day. Called Sila and they were able to come over same day. That's the good part. When I called, the guy was nice and took my info and then proceeded to tell me that it's $195 just to have someone come out and diagnose the problem. And that's just for the first 15 minutes. After that it's $90 per hour and once they determine the problem they will provide an estimate for repair. I already knew the problem, my drip pan was full and most likely needed my drain cleaned. The Service Technician, Guy, showed up and asked to see the system. I took him up to the attic and he asked how old my system was. I'm not sure as it was here when I moved in 11 years ago. We then went outside and he looked at the condenser. He looked it up on his tablet and said it doesn't even show up and it's probably 30yrs old. He then said it has R22 and they won't be able to do anything if it's low on Freon as that is now outlawed. He asked where the drain pipe is and I said it does not drain outside. He then said the best long-term solution would be a system replacement. He then proceeded to show me a basic high level estimate for 20k! He said they would be able to do it tomorrow. I said I'm not ready to do something like that right now and I'd like to get additional estimates etc. I asked him to provide me with some written quotes so I could have them as we make a decision. He went back to his truck and pulled them together and then came back inside. My options were he could try to fix the drain but no guarantees and that would be $800 less the $30 Angi's coupon. Or do nothing and pay $165 - the $195 - $30. OR if I chose to replace the system for basic system $20k, they would waive the diagnostic fee of $195 :). I said no thanks and would just pay the $165. The technician was nice and said I could drain the drip pan with a shopvac and if it turns on to call them back. I took that a bit further. I emptied the drip pan and then took apart the drain line and replaced the section that was all blocked up with algae and crud. The parts were less than $20 and my AC is working greater than ever. Overall, I would not recommend this company unless you don't mind overpaying for everything. The replacement cost they quoted is highway robbery. Granted, it's a larger system (4 Ton) but I already received a quote for better system that was less than half of their basic system quote. If you have money to burn, this is a good place to call but if you just want the job done at a reasonable price, go somewhere else.

I called Sila for a maintenance on my heating system. DJ arrived promptly at the agreed upon time. He was great and answered any questions we had. We would definitely recommend Sila for any of your heating needs.

In 2013 Sila installed a mini-split ductless system in my home with 3 interior units. When the install was done I had to ask them to come back because the outside compressor was sitting on the ground (research had revealed that they need to be bolted to a base). They reluctantly did so, bolting the compressor to some wood pieces.In 2017 we had them add one more compressor to the system with an additional interior unit (really wish I had hired someone else but hindsight is 20/20). This time the exterior compressor bolted to a metal base about 10” off the ground (guess by then they had learned the correct way to install a unit).Several times we have hired them to service the system. Their customer service is horrible. They are always late, never call to let us know they will be late and have cancelled last minute because we did not have a service contract even though we scheduled appointments with them months in advance.This month (Sept 2020) we discovered black mold in the interior units - who know that could become an issue? Sila certainly let us know that it was an issue with these types of systems. I am allergic to mold and have asthma so my health was at risk and we had to stop using the system. When I called Sila to schedule a deep cleaning they said, “We don’t do deep cleaning on those systems, look for someone else on Angies List.” I was appalled and left a message for the manager who NEVER CALLED ME BACK!Thankfully Angie’s List delivered and we hired Atlantic Heating and Air Conditioning who were able to come out on one day’s notice. Their customer service was EXCELLENT and our system is now back up and running.I will NEVER use SIla again, nor would I recommend them to anyone! Beware!

Sila's Stoneham, MA office personnel are friendly, courteous and very helpful. John Gulstrom is the Sila technician who recently came to my home. He was punctual, professional and very knowledgeable about older and new gas boilers. He had the time to answer all of my questions, and I had many, as my boiler is now 30 years old and will have to be replaced in the not too distant future. This discussion was immensely helpful, without pressure of any sort. John exemplifies the high quality of Sila, and I highly recommend him and Sila Heating and Air Conditioning..

I had the technician Steve to fix our boiler which we previous had two companies look at and said needed to be replaced. He arrived during the time frame given by the office and was very professional. Within 30 minutes he diagnosed the issue and even said he had parts on his truck to fix the issue right away. System has been running since he left and would highly recommend this company for any electrical, plumbing or HVAC means.

Both of our air conditioning units failed a day apart during a week long heat wave. Sam R came over the same day I called and we ordered a new system to be installed on the next day. At that time he told me to call or text if I had any questions. When the second unit failed a day later, I called him, he came over and we ordered a second unit. Because it was so hot, he had a technician come over to get the units temporarily working (they were 20 years old) and a day later the second unit was installed. We required electrical work to accommodate the second unit and Nick T was able to get his electrician over the same day as the installation, this all being done during a heat wave. The teams: Yong, Rob, James, Nick T and Nick M did a fantastic job.This is a quality company that is responsive and excels in customer service.

Roy came to fix a leaky kitchen sink. He showed me what was causing the issue, fixed it quickly and showed me that it doesn’t leak anymore afterwards. He was personable and professional.

Sila came through for me on the coldest day of the year when the heat quit working. They answered my call and able to book me right away (2 days out). Wes who answered the phone was super helpful in a stressful situation for me. They put me on the cancel list. A few hours later they called with an appointment the next morning. I was relieved!Ken, the Sila tech was wonderful! Very professional and courteous - oh and he wore booties in my house.He took me through the issues at hand and explained all options. I felt very comfortable with his recommendations. The issue required Ken to come back later in the day. He called to keep me posted on his ETA and arrived at the expected time. I need further work done and hope that it’s Ken who returns. I highly recommend Sila and their team!

We had a ducted central air system put in with a heat pump, and splits with a heat pump for our in-law apartment downstairs. I honestly don’t think it would have been completed on time without Brendan and Hernan. Brendan managed the whole process seamlessly. And Hernan was with us for 4 out of the 5 days of installation. Both Brendan and Hernan took the time to stop what they were doing when we had questions and answer them in a way that we could understand. Also, Hernan stayed late everyday he was here to complete what he needed, even working in the cold with a flashlight. We have always liked Sila, but the service and professionalism that we got for this project was bar none the best!

I was not getting consistent heat in my base board heating apartment. I found Sila heating through Angi and decided to use them because of their high rating. Big mistake. The tech came out and I explained the situation to him. He said what you have is a frozen section of pipe in the wall. I said but it is hot where the pipe inters the unit but is warm where it exits. Yep you got a frozen section of pipe. That'll be $285 for a half of nothing. I called another Plumbing and heating Co.. The tech came out and I explained the situation to him. He told me its probably air in the pipe. He bled the pipes and the apartment has been toasty ever since.

Brian was fully committed into fixing the problem, he assessed the situation and managed it well. He also took his time into explaining the problem and what caused it. I would recommend him to other households.

We just moved to Boston, and they were really helpful in getting our sluggish AC fixed - after we had disappointing service from a building-recommended contractor. I have just purchased my first condo. It was built 18 years ago and I knew that the prior owners never took care of it. So, I initially called Sila services to get this HVAC system looked at.They sent over a HVAC technician named Brian. Not only was he very friendly, but he was able to look at my system and identify issues with it, like a cracked heat exchanger.So, an HVAC replacement was in sight. Brian was able to provide me a quote on the spot with one of the best HAVC brands out there; Carrier.After shopping around for other quotes, I found that Sila were the best offer. They wanted my business, and were willing to negotiate on not using a crane for the condenser (which reduced cost).On installation day, two HVAC installers came over. Everyone was on time and I was seriously impressed by how professional and knowledgable the two guys were. They did the job right, and they also added a few bells and whistles to the installation that I didn't expect them to do, like building a NICE platform for the rooftop condenser, labeling the exhaust/intake pipes, wrapping up the systems' outtake duct, and more. You can tell that these folks can install a HVAC system in their sleep.I can't recommend them enough! I'm definitely going to reach out to them again when it's time for this system to get replaced.

Hi,Sila HVAC is truly a godsend, especially Nick Masone's outstanding services! We moved into our new home over the summer and within a few months, the HVAC went to shambles. Nick replaced 3 nest thermostats that weren't wired properly, he fixed our hot water that had faulty wiring and did a tune up on our tankless boiler. We called on SO many other HVAC people that either never showed up or tried to scam us in having us replace everything and all we needed was one amazing person to come in and tell us the truth and fix everything. We will be calling on Nick soon as our AC system will need significant repairs and throughout this process I've realized that it's so tough to find trustworthy honest people. We are so fortunate to have had Nick come to our home and thank you again!

My furnace was tripping up the fire alarm so I called Sila to check it out. They had availability the next day, which was super convenient. Turns out the unit needed to be cleaned which our technician Rob was able to do during this service visit. He was very knowledgeable and patient with my questions. I will be calling these guys when my boiler needs to be replaced.

We've had two forced high velocity AC systems installed. The second had a bad coil, known issue with a certain batch from Unico, the maker. Sila made sure it was replaced by their most knowledgeable technician so that it was fixed right.The system works excellently, worth the investment, and Sila does a very clean and professional job on the installations.

Ryan D. was fantastic when he came to do both A/C maintenance and, more importantly, a fix of the heating system. The thermostat control panel of my system wasn't working normally, which appeared to be due to it having malfunctioned. Because of a combination of factors, all 4 options for fixing the problem involved replacing that panel, costing extra -- over $1000 in one case. I pay a quite significant annual fee already for service, and had been frankly quite shocked that fixing the problem would cost more. While I reviewed those options, which he explained patiently, he noticed unusual behavior of the condensate pump, and discovered that that was almost certainly what was causing the control panel to shut down abnormally. He replaced that pump, which is covered under my service, and the problem was resolved. He's done service for me before, and has always been helpful with his explanations, polite, and considerate.

Gaetano did a great job on my annual checkups on 2 furnaces including replacing a pump that was not operating properly. He explained everything that he was doing, and was very professional and thorough.

This was a regular maintenance visit for the air conditioning system. Harry was pleasant and thorough in his service. He answered all my questions and I felt he was very experienced and knowledgeable.

I have a service contract on equipment Sila installed.
The maintenance is always great but I can't get them to replace a piece of conduit that they installed and which blew off the side of my house two years ago. I thought it would be covered under their warranty or service contract.

Guy (Cilluffo) was patient, worked under difficult conditions surrounded by plumbers working on a related issue and got our restarted in mid Winter with freezing temperatures predicted for tonight.
