Best Pipe Leak Repair in Seattle WA

It is with some sadness that I write this review. The only reason Fox Plumbing even gets one star is for it's great service guys. They were so helpful and polite. I don't remember the first guys name, he had his arm in a sling, but he was very gracious and helpful. Problem number one: He was not a sewer guy, he was a plumbing guy. I had explained the whole problem I was having to the girl on the phone and she still sent the wrong guy. With his arm in a sling he was unable to go into the crawl space to look at the piping. Hence the two visits for one problem. Conrad was one of the most professional person I have seen in a long time. He did everything he could to try and come up with a good solution to my problemThe admin staff I spoke with, not so much. When I went to set up my appointment to get it fixed: first call, scheduled an appointment for Aug. 4th. Second call, different person, called me and scheduled me for the next day between 1-4 pm. Didn't seem to have a clue that I already had an appointment. Since it was an earlier time and I wanted to get this done, I took the next day appointment. Well to my surprise the gentleman showed up about 2 hours early. Nice but interfered with some plans that I had to hurry up and cancel. (The very first guy also came about an hour early too.) While I understand that complaining about being early sounds dumb, it caused me to have to make last minute changes. There was no phone call saying hey I can be there early.This appointment was on a Friday. After getting all the information and doing all the looking around, Conrad said, When I get back to the office I will write up the estimate and email it to you. If you are okay with it, we can keep the Aug 4th appointment. I checked my email numerous times on Friday and all through the weekend. No email from Fox. I called Monday morning about 9:00 am, after checking email one more time, and the lady said, no we have nothing from anybody about an estimate. I will give Conrad a call and get back with you. Guess what? NO CALL BACK.Their claim to fame is trenchless repair. What they don't tell you is that is not always the case. They wanted to jack hammer a hole in my sunroom and shoot some kind of liner through the pipe. Not sure why they couldn't dig out from the other side and do it, but I am not the expert. But a jackhammer in a room full of glass? Really?It is now Wednesday, 8 days later and nothing. Maybe I am to old fashion but, I am the customer, I don't need to chase you to give you my money. I have made other arrangements with another company, who will be doing the job without destroying my property.

I recently had my entire plumbing system replaced by this service and I couldn't be happier with the results. The plumbers were very professional and did an outstanding job. I would definitely recommend them to anyone in need of plumbing services.

We had a major plumbing problem at our house in Magnolia and Gene and Anthony couldn't have been more helpful! They dug down about 15 feet and replaced our plumbing that connected to the main sewage line over the course of a couple days. Prior to Gene and Anthony helping us out, our downstairs bathroom kept getting backed up on a regular basis. Throughout the process Gene was very transparent about what the costs would be and about what the next steps were going to be. Appreciated his transparency and hard work throughout the process. Would recommend Beacon to anyone and will be using Beacon for any of my plumbing problems moving forward.

Scott reviewed our problems, and explained the possible actions and accompanying costs carefully. We chose to have him ream out the grease and gunk, which he did carefully. This as the kitchen sink. He explained the importance of the frequent use of the enzyme and using more water. I was able to take good notes to explain how to care for all of our plumbing situations to explain to my daughter, Katherine Moore, the homeowner.Scott couldn't have been more clear and thoughtful throughout the service call. They were very professional and friendly. I used them twice and I was very happy with the work each time. They made it a priority to come to my house the day I called to give me an estimate - and without an annoying trip charge like other plumbers - and they sent professional and courteous people to do the work. They worked diligently and without a lot of breaks, and also left the job site tidy when done. If I have to a use a plumber again in the future, they'll be my first call.

The overall job was ok but I was charged twice for things that I was told would be included in the original price. The second one was the fine print that “included” patch repairs would actually cost $200. Very frustrating and underhanded.

Patrick and Michael came promptly at the time projected on the day I called regarding the leak. They told me what the suspected and gave me an estimate. It turned out not to be drain issue but rather a problem with the seal in the dishwasher. The cost was cut nearly in half as they were not able to repair the appliance issue, but the diagnosis of the issue was valuable. Best of all, I learned that this company is able to assist us with some aspects of our tub to shower conversion. Both Patrick and Michael were courteous and professional. I will be certain to use Jim Dandy in the future!

Far and away the worst experience I've had with a plumbing company in 10+ years of property management.

Tenant called them the day after Thanksgiving - she was told $550+ tax to fix a sewer backing up. This included their $100 emergency fee (later they tell me it's actually a Holiday fee since they don't work on the day after thanksgiving?!) Ok, fine. She paid - they didn't fix the problem. But she did pay them.

Instead they said we had a break in the pipe 7' underground and they want another $7k to fix it since there's so much digging. So I called Action Jackson for a second opinion. They charged $125 for the service call and under $3k to fix it. Why so much cheaper? Bob Oates Plumbing lied about the depth of the break so they could charge more!

I called Andrew after I'd learned my tenant had paid them. He admitted that they had over charged her $100. I told him he needed to give her check back and he said he would. I told him then they could bill me.

On Monday John P from Bob Oates emailed my tenant telling her he wouldn't be giving her check back as promised. I called. Talked to him and to Reya and BOTH of them promised to send the check back and said they'd email to confirm.

John P also said they had over-charged by $100 and that his equipment must have been off to account for the difference in depth of the break. This is total BS. They were 100% trying to gouge me since I was not on-site the day of, and honestly, I'm sure a large part of it is because I'm a woman. So is my tenant. John spent a long time man-splaining to me how no plumbing companies in Seattle come out for a $125 service call fee (but WAIT! Action Jackson did! So why is this dude telling me my experience is wrong?) and then he tried to convince me that Action Jackson was trying to gouge me. I told him that we weren't dealing with how other companies do business, we were dealing with how he does business and that I'm the one he needs to deal with right now. He apparently doesn't like mouthy women since he hung up.

Then he sent an email later in the day to say I will hold the check that your tenant gave to us and not deposit it until we receive your check in the mail. NOT THE EMAIL HE PROMISED. So now he's 1) over-charged us, 2) exaggerated the depth of the problem to inflate a bid for repairs 3) repeatedly stated he would return the check and then gone back on his promise -- in other words, lied. There's absolutely NO WAY I'm sending him another check for $500 to give him TWO checks that total over $1100 combined that he can just decide he's going to cash? It' completely absurd.

Bottom line: This place will over-charge you, lie to you, verbally abuse you, and then you'll stay up late writing reviews for them. Definitely not worth the hassle.

Who should you call instead? I really liked Action Jackson. They were very nice, respectful, prompt and did good work at a reasonable price. I'll write them glowing reviews tomorrow!

Professional in all aspects from start to finish. Protected carpets from mud and debris, left premises neat. They were on time and worked quickly. Excellent communication. I would highly recommend!

did what he said he would do and for the price we agreed upon. i've had five plumbers in my house and zoltan is the only one that seemed to know his job. would hire again in an instant.

Bobby T is so great! A couple of years ago I had a toy go down the tub drain, not only did he come the day I called he was friendly, helpful, fixed the problem and was very reasonably priced! Just called him on a Sunday he called me back within a few minutes and was able to help again fix the problem!

Michael and Pierce just came out to do a regular sump pump maintenance, and I can't recommend them enough! Very professional, showed me exactly what they were doing and what was good/bad in the system, finished the job quickly, and incredibly reasonable rates. We'll definitely be using them again.

Rude and sloppy

Watch out for these guys, as they will try to rip you off as much as possible! Very dishonest people.
They inspected our 5-yr old tankless water heater and identified that a part had to be replaced. After we gave them the go ahead on replacing the part (heat exchanger) worth < $300, without our consent, they replaced the whole unit (which they provided themselves with a 60% mark-up for $2,000). And then they threatened consequences if we didn't pay the price immediately.
When we asked in a respectful manner why the mark-up was unreasonable and why we hadn't been notified of switch from part replacement to unit, Evan (owner) started using curse words and started threatening.
After we paid them, we asked for our old unit (one day after their service), they said they had tossed it out and it couldn't be retrieved.

Having said all of that, they responded promptly with a same day service and everything was back online and working after 3 hours, so if you don't mind them stealing from you, this business can be a good choice.
We recommend getting a 2nd opinion if they tell you the unit has to go.
