Zoltan The Plumber

After making several calls to different plumbers and not feeling comfortable with the few people who actually answered, I found Zoltan and I am glad I did!

I needed to have an instant hot water tank installed underneath my sink and the hot water dispenser faucet installed on the countertop. I had upgraded the faucet to coordinate with my existing kitchen faucet --almost a perfect style match, just smaller.

As a designer, I spend countless hours researching all aspects of projects from new construction to remodeling, warranting the oversight of any aspect of a project - structural, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc. I had several conversations with larger plumbing companies and most had no available service appointment for weeks. I decided to look for a licensed/bonded plumber that was independent. SHAZAM!! Zoltan appeared in my searches and I promptly called. He is quite knowledgeable and totally understood the scope of the work during our initial phone conversation. He was hesitant to quote me a price without coming to the house and personally assess the project, offering this service, free of charge! (Most plumbing companies charge for an estimate, though it is often reimbursed if the job is performed). He was adamant about his process and, luckily for me, had time the next day to come by, offer an estimate and to complete the job, if I agreed to the price! We agreed, the work commenced and it was a job well done!

He was very patient and respectful, and probably the one of the most polite individuals I have met in a long time! I am NOT an easy client and I ask a plethora of questions, all of which, Zoltan expertly answered. I was immediately very, very comfortable with the level of his expertise. He is organized, careful and tidy and works efficiently in getting the job done. His main concern seems to be giving you quality work at a reasonable price. He is not the least expensive option, though not the most expensive either. I am sure that you will be satisfied and I think I'd trust him with any future plumbing needs.

Very thorough, very friendly. Peace of mind that the job is done right and that nothing will need to be fixed afterwards. Zoltan is not only heartfelt, but a quality worker. You will regret contacting other plumbing services.

Zoltan was very responsive (his schedule allowed him to come by the afternoon that we called) and did a great job on the hose sillcock and indoor sink drain leaks we had. We will definitely be calling him for any future needs!

I used Zoltan to help me plumb an existing shower that I demo'ed. Zoltan caught a few code violation issues that I didn't catch which was well worth of his services. Zoltan is a Master Plumber and highly skilled. I am in the construction industry as well and Zoltan is the best residential plumber I've worked with in the Seattle area. I have elected to sole source to Zoltan for my future new construction projects.

Contacted Zoltan The Plumber after reading some of the previous reviews. Zoltan was very professional and upfront about what the job would entail and about how much the job would cost. I had Zoltan replace my faucet, drain pipe and hose bib all three were in bad shape and needed replacement. He was honest and cares about the quality of work he does. When my outdoor water spigot broke off, Zoltan came to the rescue! Zoltan was professional, responsive and arrived the same day to make the repairs. His prices are unbeatable and he is fully licensed, insured and bonded. Zoltan was able to make the repairs in under two hours and we had our water back on before it became a huge burden.

We had an outdoor faucet that seized up and would not turn off, and the water continue to spray from the faucet.

We gave Zoltan a call and he said he could make it over asap. When he got here, he quickly assessed what needed to be done and gave an estimate. After we ok'ed the estimate, he got to work. In a short period of time, Zoltan had the faucet replaced and it was working flawlessly. He also deducted a little from the estimate because the job took less time than he thought it would.

It's great to have someone as honest, reliable, and knowledgeable as Zoltan. He is always who we call when needed!

Zoltan, is really good.

He replaced out kitchen faucet and 2 water valves under the sink. He was about 1/2 the price of the other quotes. And he has a very high attention to detail, does things right. We're super happy with what he's done.

Great work at a fair price!

Zoltan really helped me out with replacing and simplifying a mess of old water lines, a badly leaking shower, and terrible hot water pressure in the kitchen and bathroom.

I hired Zoltan to advise me on my DIY underground bathroom rough in, and he was extremely helpful. He came out the day after I requested him, and for a reasonable price he spent time advising me on the details of my underground plumbing project. The job was extensive, I hadn’t done this work before, and with Zoltan’s help I was able to pass my inspection smoothly. He was detailed, and knew his stuff. I will definitely work with Zoltan again, and would trust him with any plumbing project.

Had the best and most fair bid, yet better and higher quality than any plumber I've used. Gave a warranty on the work done. Before leaving, he even offered advice on something he noticed about my water heater. Great guy.

Mr Zoltan re-piped my house, added a drain pipe for my kitchen, installed a new water heater and a new water line to the main. I am so happy with the work he did and his price was very affordable. He was very honest and walked me through anything that he had done or came across that needed attention. Zoltan did some plumbing for our bathroom remodel. I will 100% use his services again. He cost hundreds less than the 2 other bids, very knowledgeable, flexible. I accidentally wrote checks out of the wrong checking account for my deposit and the services and both bounced. He.was super nice about it. Excellent plumber in every way -- a difficult rusted and clogged pipe problem in my kitchen. Zoltan was able to analyze the problem and come up with a creative solution in a short time. Totally reasonable rates too. I'm so grateful I found him.

Zoltan fixed a leak in my pipes. The pipes were exposed in the basement and the end cap of one of the pipes was slowly leaking. Zoltan was very communicative about the different options to fix the leak and was vocal about his thought process. The end result was to close some valves and replace the cap with a longer pipe and a drain valve. The whole thing took about an hour and a half of effort. Involved sawing off to the cap, welding on multiple parts, and draining/repressurizing a small section of piping.

Zoltan is honest, gives great service, would highly recommend for anything related to plumbing - been using his services for years!

I called Zoltan to replace my water main. I briefly described the project on the phone, and he quoted me a price, which I found reasonable. He said he could take a look at the project that day, and do the work in a few days. Great!

He called me back a few minutes later, and said if I wanted to do the work that day, he could do it, for an extra hundred dollars. That seemed a little sketchy, and I declined, I was fine waiting a few days.

When Zoltan showed up, he said I misrepresented the job to him on the phone. I didn't think I had, but ok, I assume that's why a tradesman looks at a project before starting or giving a formal estimate, right? But Zoltan seemed especially annoyed by this.

He told me I didn't tell him the main went under the sidewalk. Well no I did not, but that's a common scenario, and I had offered to send him pictures, which he said wasn't necessary. He said he had to do more things, add protection under the sidewalk or something. I asked, what things? He said he would show me when he did the work. I said, I'm curious, what is it, adding conduit or something? And he would not give me a straight answer.

He said, 'you said this was easy job. I don't recall ever saying that. I'm a contractor and I know when people tell me it's easy, it usuallty isn't, so I'm not likely to tell another professional that. If it's not easy, fine, explain how it is difficult. But he didn't do that.

Anyway, I didn't like the way he was becoming more annoyed and accusatory. I didn't like that he wouldn't be specific about the details under the sidewalk. I didn't like that he was throwing out different numbers as we talked, ranging from $800 to $4800.

So when he said, let's take a look inside the house, I said, you know what, let's save each other some time, say goodbye and move on with your day. This seemed to make him more angry. He said, you said it was easy, you do it yourself!. He wanted to argue more, I just wanted to move on.

Maybe he's a great plumber. Maybe he was having a bad day. Maybe we miscommunicated. Maybe, despite my efforts to be friendly and open minded, I rubbed him the wrong way. In any case, he didn't act professionally, and I felt compelled to relate my experience here.

Had Zoltan over to inspect our gas line. He was fantastic and gave us some good information. Highly recommended him for any plumbing work!
