Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

If I could give 0 stars I would.Short Story: Two technicians tried to up sell me on a $1000 faucet replacement. 560 for labor and 400 for sink (before tax). I fixed the problem myself for free after technician told me that faucet spray hoses aren't sold separately.Also charge $110 just for a diagnostic.Long story: I noticed leaking from my kitchen sink spray hose. Figured the spray nose needed repair or tightened and it was an easy fix they could figure out. First person they send (after being 2.5 hours late) tells me without even seeing it, you should just replace the entire faucet. He takes a look at it and says I don't have experience with this model faucet. I had to wait another day for them to send a more experienced second technician, Fernando, who quoted me $560 just for labor, but I could save $400 by buying my own replacement faucet. He told me straight that there was no way to fix the faucet hose without disconnecting all the hoses and installing a new faucet. Well Kohler sells the spray hose for 10 dollars, they sent it to me for free.I have zero experience with plumbing and I fixed it in 2 hours after watching a few YouTube videos. That means they were willing to charge me 560 dollars for what would have taken them 30 min. Red flags all around.

We had a great experience with Roto-Rooter. We used them to fix a pretty significant plumbing issue and water damage mitigation. They went out of their way to come out in odd hours to diagnose our issue during a very stressful time for us. It's hard to know who to go with during an issue like this, and in our experience, Roto-Rooter was timely, thorough, and gave us confidence that our issue was resolved.

Maintenance Director here. Had a main line clog. already had teh tub overflow open to snake. They show up i get them in the unit. sign something and come back to keep working. When they are done (approx. 1 hour later) they told me they had to snake from the toilet then they had to snake from the overflow. I know the clog was past 20 feet as my snake at work does 20 feet. There was no need to charge me for 2-line clogs for 1 line. This is the last that my 28 properties will use this company again.

They were able to come by within 48 hours of me setting up an appointment online, and likely could have earlier except that I wasn't available the following day. They were up front about a 99 dollar service fee to come over, but wouldn't give price estimates, despite having a dedicated pricing sheet per type of repair/installation.When Florin arrived, he was very open and up front with the pricing set by corporate (too expensive for my needs, several x more than the cost of the item being fixed). He was fantastic though, and did help me understand how to fix the problem (3 minutes with an allen wrench) - I'd call him again in a heartbeat should anything else go wrong. Overall I'm happy with the service and Florin, but unhappy with Roto-Rooter Corporate's handling of price transparency.

Took less than a day to get it scheduled they showed up early in the timeframe given and they worked quickly and efficiently. They even let me keep the video taken of the pipes that will be helpful with any future issues or fixes.

Joe came by at 10pm to help my partner and I rescue our cat from behind an electric water tank heater. We were really stressed and Joe was able to handle the situation professionally and help us out save the cat and the day. We really appreciate everything Joe was able to help us with and even re-installed the water heater. 100% recommend his service, very kind and friendly with customers and animals alike.

They were able to come out in less than an hour for a drain clog (right before I had guests coming!). Mustafa is very kind and knowledgeable, and left me with an enzyme-based drain cleaner that is much less harsh and works much better than Draino. Excellent service right when I needed it. (Keep in mind that emergency services will not be cheap.)

Excavation team was great. Victor Rosas, the field manager, was very patient, kind and considerate. He was very knowledgeable and willing to answer a myriad of questions in a way a lay person could understand.Ricky Pena, who actually did the repair, was also vey patient and kind. He explained things as he went along and didn't seem to mind showing us the mess as he did the repairs.These guys are a great team. I have used Roto-Rooter in the pastand recommend them to any of our friends with plumbing issues of any kind.

These guys were quick and responsive. Gio cleared the line and took a video so I could see what was going on in my sewer line. He then provided some options for future service. He was fantastic and I would highly recommend his services.

Mostafa showed up on time, first thing in the morning after I called to schedule.. He got right to work. Ours was a little tougher than some others because we had several bends to work around but he was patient and made it work. He shared some tips to prevent future problems. He was professional, courteous, and helpful. He also did a great job cleaning up.

The engineers turned up quickly (within a couple of hours of calling) to address the issue. They were polite, considerate and communicative. They diagnosed the issue before and told me the cost before conducting any further work. They were then clean and efficient in addressing the issue we had with clogged sewer and gave us a prognosis on what to expect in the future. Left with minimal mess and a fixed pipe! They even managed to fix our other blocked toilet with no extra fees! Would recommend.

So thankful to have Ryan come out and help us today! He was so professional and so helpful and I am hopeful that we did prevention in addition to a quick fix to unclog 2 toilets that were both plugged up with no sign of relief in sight!

I had a great experience with Roto-Rooter. Woke up to our water heater leaking at 6:00am. Called around and Roto-Rooter was the first to answer. They could get someone out the same morning. Sam Leonte was our service technician. Right away he knew we needed to replace the water heater. He worked almost the whole day at our house doing the replacement. He was kind, knowledgeable and friendly. My husband and I were very pleased with our service from Sam. It's never fun to spend money on something you didn't plan for, but it makes it all the better when you have a great experience and service!

Roto rooter was available on short notice (within several hours) on a weekend night when my kitchen sink was backed up. Seth came out to fix it and had the clog cleared quickly. The price was high to me, but probably not out of range for any other plumbing company so it was worth it for peace of mind about the sink. The service was professional and fast, and Seth explained what had caused the clog and offered a couple of tips to avoid buildup in the future.

Our technician, Gio was amazing. He explained everything so that we could understand and made recommendations for the future. Overall a great experience.

My first experience with Roto-Rooter was due to a clogged toilet. When I called for help, I was given same day service with a call back from tech within 15 minutes. My service Tech Crescen was at my house within an hour and had given me text notice he was on his way. He was professional, and quickly determined what needed to be done to repair my toilet. With quick efficiency and being very careful of my home and surrounding work area he fixed my toilet in 15 minutes. He was informative and kind. He gave me a tip to remove the water stains on the porcelain that will save me so much money on cleaning supplies. My experience with this company was that I will not hesitate to recommend or use them again. Great Job!! Above and beyond.

Simba was excellent and informed us of everything he was doing each step of the way! Very friendly, helpful, and cleaned up after he finished the job. I appreciate the price transparency and he also gave us tips for maintenance and how to save money in the future! I would definitely use Roto Rooter again and Simba is definitely the guy to request.

The service was good and effective. The two employees were professional and polite. They were two hours later than promised, but they came out same day and handled our emergency situation, so it was worth the wait.

What a joke. Sunday we had our mainline back up so we had to call this terrible company out. Guy charges 800 some odd bucks to put a camera 10 feet down the line and unclog the clog. He told us that comes with a camera service so we could get a quote to repair why the mainline backed up. Monday they were gonna come out at 4, then at 6 called and canceled and told me he would tell his dispatch to reschedule for Wednesday at 4. Called Wednesday at noon to verify and was told I'd get a call back. No phone call, no tech. When I call I'm told when a tech is available he'll head you're way . No real timeline, they work 24/7 that could mean 10pm. I told them that wouldn't work and to come Thursday at 4. Get a call at 5 told he was 35 minutes away. Hour and 15 minutes later he showed up not even knowing what he was supposed to be doing. So now I have spent 800 bucks to clear a clog that every other company I called quoted me at like 300-400 to do. Rip off of a company. I will be reaching out to management tomorrow to request a partial refund since I still don't have a camera down my lines. Avoid at all costs!!!!

Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup was very fast, professional and polite. After I called they were at the house in under an hour.Chris and Scott did an excellent job! Installing three new toilets in a older home was not easy task, but they made sure that everything was done right. I’ll definitely call them again for my next remodeling project.

This was by far one of the worst experiences of my life. The guy had no clue to what he was doing. 3 1/2 hrs and it turned out to be a quick fix. Very disappointed. Will never use/recommend Roto Rooter!

Prompt and efficient service! Our sink backed up the same day we had out of town guests due to arrive. These guys got here and dealt with our issue really fast.

[Update] Okay, I shared this review thinking no one from Roto-Rooter would care. I was wrong - within 24 hours I received call from their office (that too on Sunday) telling me that they've refund full amount charged to my card. This gesture really establishes strong trust in Roto rooter's customer obsession. I would definitely hire their service if needed. On my part, before writing a review, I should have talked to them, I will keep that in mind going forward.[]So I called them to do regular maintenance for my water heater. Technician came and said it would require a repair. I said It doesn't have any issue just flush it do any regular maintenance you think should be done. So basically technician quoted for repair (even when I said It doesn't have any issue) which I declined to do. He gave rough estimates of replacing with new which off course was not acceptable. Net Net - Technician Never tried to do the job I call for and charge $99 + tax for nothing.

Great work! Came within 2 hours of submitting a request on their website - on a Sunday. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to book service and the communication. We had a clogged toilet. Technician was fantastic: pleasant, outgoing, great communicator (re: what he was going to do and the cost) and fixed problem very quickly.Big recommend! (And I don’t leave many reviews online)

Very nice guy. Showed up a couple of hours early. But was told over the phone it would be $99 to figure out the issue. Ended up costing me $500 just to figure out was wrong. Tried to call and talk to somebody never got a call back. Still have a broken tank

Their tech grossly overestimated the quote. I ended up paying almost $600 an hour for him to replace two fittings that took him 2 hours. $1200 for labor is ridiculous. Seems that overestimating is how they get you. Next time I'll hire a real plumber that honestly charges by the hour.

Jesse was great! He arrived on time, and on a Sunday! He helped trouble shoot our septic problem and walked us thru ways to avoid another back up.

I called them to look at my sink and got a same-day service from a guy named Joe who did a really good job and was willing to work with me financially. Strongly recommend.

Sewer overflow in laundry room & burbling in slow-draining toilet & tub. Inspection showed clog outside near house back corner. Gio is super professional and efficient at trying to get everything done in one day as I only have one toilet. I really appreciate all his efforts & all the steps required to get this permitted & done well quickly. I'd like to especially commend Tyson for his fast and very careful work that made the finished project look like it did before they started (except for a deck portion that had to be removed for access, which I'm responsible for).

I called Roto-Rooter for a kitchen faucet replacement and leak repair. Scott, the technician, was very upfront about costs and options, and completed the installation and repair very quickly. The workmanship was excellent.

They quoted me $3950 to replace my water heater, I did not know any better and agreed to the price. 10 minutes later I found out I can get this done a lot cheaper and asked them to stop working. They charged me $460 for 10 minutes of work. And on top of that, they disconnected my gas, and refuse to reconnect it without charging another $100. So within 10 minutes, I spent $460 and now my water heater is no longer working. I ended up getting quotes from 3 other companies and they are all at $2800 or less. If Roto-Rooter feel like they can charge $1000 more than their competitors, more power to them, but charging $460 for 10 minutes of work just to make my water heater unusable is just ridiculous. If you don’t want to be ripped off, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

Our kitchen sink was backed up and needed it solved quickly. We operate a home baking business from our home, so needing this resolved ASAP was critical for us. Marcus came out first thing in the morning. He was kind, courteous, explained everything clearly and got our issue resolved very quickly! I would recommend Roto-Rooter to anyone needing your plumbing issues resolved!

Scheduling the service was easy. The technician arrived on time, was capable and clearly explained what needed to be done. Although pricing was provided before acceptance, I could not wait to get alternative quotes based on my unavailability in the next few weeks and the potential for extensive water damage. Their pricing, based on what took to get the job done, was a complete rip off. After having to pay such exorbitant prices, they leave you with the impression that they do not care about repeat business or recommendations to friends and family. I do not recommend them based on their pricing and will never seek their services again.

Drain technician cleared the drain but caused so much water to leak under the sink that it resulted in more water damage in the ceiling of the floor below. Would not use again.

This is the third time I’ve used Roto-Rooter as I’ve been pleased with their previous work and this time was no exception. Our plumber Joe arrived on time and quickly explained his approach after listening to our issue. He then set about diagnosing the issue. Prior to fixing he explained to us the problem and gave us options to chose from. Once we confirmed our choice for fixing the problem he quickly set about performing the work and once done cleaned up the area before walking us through what he did. Overall a great service experience. Highly suggest using them.

I give 10 stars for the service technician. I am still fuming over the price. I don't mind paying for excellent service. However, the price was absolutely 💯 not even justified. $602.00 to snake my kitchen sink. I am so upset about it. I was very upset with the gentleman that came which I apologized to him for my behavior. I let him know it's not him I'm upset with, he doesn't make the prices. We became aware of issues with our 80-year-old cast iron sewer line in the course of selling our home. Roto-Rooter was extremely responsive had someone at our house the same day the issue was discovered and had our repair done in three business days. We used their pipe bursting and relining services to replace our failing original sewer line. All of their employees that we dealt with were polite and professional and did a wonderful job. They were respectful of our property and cleaned up after themselves. Having a very expensive repair come up was not ideal but they made it much less painful than it could have been and we really appreciate that.

Second time we have used roto rooter in last 2 years. Both times were impressed by their service and honesty. This time our project was out of their scope of repairs, but they were courteous, on time, and thoroughly checked to see if they could fix the problem. Roto rooter was also suggested to us for not trying to scam or upsale unnecessary work by a different plumbing company that didn't have the equipment we thought we required for repairs.

This was, by far, the worst, most exasperating, and unnecessarily expensive experience I have had with any service provider in my 79 years on Earth! I will be discouraging ANY one I know and everyone in my electronic social community from engaging with Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup. The only reason that I even gave one star is that I could not submit this review with zero stars chosen! THIS IS A ZERO STAR SERVICE!!The dissatisfaction began with the first phone call to Roto-Rooter. I ask to talk with the plumber so I could ask if he would be supplying the rough-in shower valve and if not, which type of fitting (IPS, CC. pex) he would prefer. We are replacing a jacuzzi-tub and shower with a tiled walk-in shower. The tile setters need to be on site when the plumbing is done in order to specify where the finished wall and drain will be relative to studs and sub-floor. I was told that this information would be relayed to the plumber and I should expect a return phone call. I was told that there would be a visitation fee of $99. I asked if the plumber would be prepared to do the job when he arrived on site. I was told that he would be ready. No phone response came.I waited until 5 days before the appointed time and phoned Roto-Rooter again, asking to speak to the plumber. I was told that a plumber would return my call. No return phone call came.Two days before the appointment I phoned Roto-Rooter again asking to speak to the plumber. I was told that the plumber would phone me. None phone call was received.On the day of our plumbing appointment the plumber's arrival window was between 9 AM and 1 PM. The tile setters arrived a little before 9 AM to make things ready for the plumber's arrival. I had been told that the plumber would phone us 30 minutes before arriving. At 09:43 I phoned Roto-Rooter and asked when we should expect our plumber. I was told that the plumber would likely not arrive until near the end of the appointment window (13:00). In the mean time, we're paying two professional tile setters to sit on their hands and drink coffee. I phoned Roto-Rooter again at 11:06. This time I was told that the plumber would arrive around 13:30. I phoned Roto-Rooter again at 15:39 and was told that the plumber was about 10 or15 minutes away and was not likely to phone us while driving. The plumber arrived about 16:00. After assessing the job and interacting with the tile setters, he informed us that he would not be able to begin the job, in part because he does not work past 16:30 and in part because he needed a second specially-trained person on site in order to enter the crawl space where the shower drain would be finished. The tile setters left the job site shortly after the plumber informed us that he would not even begin the job.The job estimate was $4600.00 plus the $99.00 visitation fee and tax (9.2% ~ addition of about $450) plus, his delayed arrival and inability to do the job will add a day to the tile-setting job ( ~ $1650.00) - for a grand total for the Roto-Rooter experience of more than $6650.00 and a whole day of delay. OUTRAGEOUS! We rejected to bid, paid the $99.00 plus tax, and were glad to have dodged the $6650.00 bullet. However, it still cost us the $99.00 (plus tax) visitation fee, and an added day of tile setting @ $1650.00 per day (total $1750.00)!The plumber was personable, professional, and understanding. That's the only reason I refrained from asking him the Click and Clack question - did he have a boat down-payment to make?NOTE: to Roto-Rooter corporate - It is very frustrating to not be able to talk to the technician. Somehow your business model should make provision for an actual exchange between customer and technician. I chose the valve that matched the existent plumbing. The plumber would not have chosen that fitting type. How was I to find this out? Why did the plumber arrive to late in the day to begin working? The Roto-Rooter business model is designed to force multiple visits, thereby increasing the financial and time costs for the customer. How can this model be successful?

The tech did a very good job. Cleaned out our main drain line. The downside was he arrived 2.5 hours late. Not too bad considering it was in the evening on labor day weekend. We have used this company before. Always fixed our issues.

Alex came to my home earlier Sunday morning to address sewage under my home. He had a clean up crew come out as quickly as possible to clean up the mess in my crawlspace. Due to scheduling, they were not out until the next day but that was well communicated. There was also great communication between the teams and Alex was able to return with Chris to begin repairs right after the clean up crew finished.Alex and Chris were able to identify the cause of the issue, show their findings and quote their work within an hour of ariving. They were then able to do the quoted work the same day to get my house back up and running. They provided great customer service and I'm more than happy with the work the provided.

I had a great experience today with Roto-Rooter. The service person was Sirous Jahangiri and he did a professional job, timely and polite. I called this morning to the basic line, they got all my info. This afternoon I heard from the scheduler and then an hour later the work truck showed up. My situation was needing the storm drain cleared as rain water has been backing up into the garage because the storm drain underground wasn't clearing out fast enough to keep up with the heavier rain storms. Sirous cleared several root obstructions and did a great job flushing out all the silt that had collected in the line. I'm now confident that I'll have a dry garage this rainy season in Bellevue/Seattle area. The experience wasn't cheap, right at $1,000 but I wasn't expecting same day service to be so. It was money well spent as I've had 3 backups in the garage in last 45 days, so my basic homeowner's attempt of clearing the line were getting me nowhere (I was just using a regular hose with high pressure for the first 6' or so. Plus leaf blowing my roof to prevent more debris from going into the line.)

I felt like I was being scammed. The technician immediately said that it will cost $492.00 + tax to just diagnose the issue. Then once he diagnosed it, he wanted to charge me $4428.00 + parts + tax to fix it and it was just the bathtub overflow valve that needed to be replaced.

On Saturday 9/10/22 I came to my house and found water running out of the water heater. I set up a service call via the internet. The service technician came took one look at the water heater and said it needs to be replaced. He showed me a price in a book that was a little over $1000 and said that price does not include parts and labor. I asked so about $1500. He went to get another tank and came back with a bigger better tank. All said and done it came to just over $2600. To me a little heads up would’ve been nice. What if I didn’t have the money? How did the price jump from around $1500 to over $2600? I feel as though I’ve been taken advantage of

We made an appointment on Sunday night, and Gio showed up Monday morning. He got our sewer line unclogged, and then coordinated with the city and a different plumbing team to make numerous repairs to our 100+ year old house.I honestly don't know how we could have navigated all the issues without his help. Highly recommended!

Quick professional help to fix a leak under my kitchen sink. Very quick, reasonable cost, and the technician provided me a ton of tips and education on the issue which was great as a first time homebuyer this is all new to me! Will definitely use Roto Rooter's again for any future plumbing needs.

I was extremely happy with the service I received from Roto-Rooter. The response time was excellent. Crescen and Isaiah were friendly and immediately put me at ease that my problem would be taken care of. Crescen was extremely knowledgeable and explained in detail what the problem was, how to repair and with great patience worked with my home warranty company to get the approvals needed for me to get reimbursed. Jason was kind and was a great help in cleaning out the area to expose the septic tank before Crescen's arrival. I knew throughout the whole experience that I was in good hands. I intend to give all my future plumbing business to Roto-Rooter as the customer service I received was above and beyond what other companies are willing to do. Thank you!!

Roto Rooter is not cheap but they show up on time, service a rural area like ours without complaint or delay, and do the work right. Our plumber Doc went out of his way to give us exactly what we wanted and needed but was equally upfront about the expense. We appreciate both the excellent work and the clear communication.

Arrived in hours, Sam the plumber, called to say his was 30 min out, arrived on time. Got straight to diagnostics, informed me throughout everything he was going to do and did! He was extremely polite and professional! I usually don’t work with big companies because I have the opposite experience but I would use them again. Fixed clogged pipes, left cleaning solution and Work is guaranteed for 6 months. Total for 2 & 1/2 hours was $572.53.

The service provided by Roto Rooter was great uncloging our sewer line. Bill the technician was on time, very curious & knowledgeable..Job was completed in a timely manner. I've used Roto Rooter in the past and highly recommend them for all your plumbing needs..thank you

While Roto-Rooter was prompt and the gentleman that showed up was pleasant, he did not properly diagnose or fix my issue. He kept asking me if it was done correctly, which I found odd because he was the plumber. In any case, when I tried to use my system after it was “fixed” it happened again. Had to call them back out. Again, they showed up promptly, but again he asked me if it was “fixed” and ultimately it wasn’t. I had to call another service to come out and actually fix my problem. I paid Roto-Rooter for no reason, so that wasn’t fun. Won’t use them again.

We had Roto-Rooter out for an emergency sewage backup in our basement that we discovered early in the morning as we were getting ready for the workday. Roto-Rooter picked up right away and sent a tech out to unclog the sewer line first thing that same morning and prevent serious water damage.Our tech, Simba, was great. He explained the process and the costs upfront and was knowledgeable, professional, courteous, and friendly the whole time. Roto also was able to sent a camera tech, Van, to scope our lines and check for damage. He was also great to work with and helped us learn the condition of our sewer lines and gave us next steps for maintenance. Both were great and we appreciate them coming to help with such short notice.

My goid friends used this service. Left huge holes in the walls & couldn't even help push the dryer back. She has health issues & her husband is dying of cancer. It's a list of bad he did but who has time to write a novel?

Three quotes were all nearly the same, so 'value' was neutral.. But Roto-Rooter scheduled me within less than 24 hours, and called to arrive early in the scheduled window. Quickly came up with an estimate and a safety waiver, and came in nearly exactly right. Great job in an older manufactured home that needed a bit of custom installation. Made sure replacement was completely to code with earthquake safety straps and pressure relief tank. Great job!

Scheduled a service between 8am–12pm. By 4:40pm they still weren’t here and had not communicated any timeline. It’s Christmas Eve, I’m about to have a baby and need to wash his coming home outfit, I can’t do dishes or cook for Christmas at all, and they communicated absolutely NOTHING. The appointment was super easy to set up and they had same week appointments. They actually arrived earlier than I thought they would, which was fantastic. The tech was friendly, knowledgeable and was finished in less than 2 hours. My only negative was that it was so expensive. This was my first time needing a plumber so I didn't realize it was going to cost so much.

Steve and Clayton were both so professional and helpful. We were very lucky to have them available quickly. They were able to detect the issue and solve the problem. Also, they gave us information about the current condition of our pipes and the options we had for fixing. I really appreciated their expertise and professional, friendly approach.

I tried to fix my own plumbing leak and ended up creating a water fountain inside and was forced to shut off water to the whole house. I called everyone, but only Roto-Rooter was able to respond same-day and quickly. My water heater stopped working . The service technician Fred was very quick to diagnose the problem and let me know that the water heater's broken part would not be found in the market since it was about 12 yrs old. He knew his job very well. He replaced the water heater. He was very quick, professional, polite and knowledgeable. I would work with him again when i call Roto - Rooter! Thankyou Fred for the help! Really appreciate it.

The outdoor drainage pipe that catches the water from our roof gutter was backing up. We wanted to clear it out before the rainy season. I was expecting to pay $500-$600. The agent checked out the problem and told me it would cost $1200. The Roto Rooter agent used a tool, like a powerful snake to clear out the pipeline. It turned out the clog went all the way to our neighbors' pipe (our townhomes share the same pipe system). Because of the extra footage that needed to be covered, I was informed the job would now cost $1800. With tax, etc. it came to over $1900.I believe we were greatly overcharged for the service we received!

First of all, my appointment was for 5/25 between 9 AM - 1 PM. The plumber did not arrive till 1:15 PM. We have an issue where one side of the housing is running out of water while the other side runs just fine. The plumber Joe Rios communicated that we switching out the filter will be the first step to fixing the issue. He started working on shutting out valves and swapping out the filter, he communicated we should call Valley Pump if we have any further issue. When Joe left, now the side without water has water now. However, the side where water was flowing fine has no water.I tried calling Roto Rooter and explain the issue and they connect me to a manager Drew. Drew was professional but doesn't resolve the issue at all. He communicated that we should follow up with Valley Pump for the filtration system since they are not professional in the system ran through the well. So we pretty much spent $700 for the plumber to swap out some filters. Instead of advising us to call Valley Pump directly, Joe told us about them after he swapped out the filter and left half of the house without running water. I will never use them again for sure.

Drain tech came out for what we thought was a plugged toilet. Ended up taking the toilet off and using the auger. Problem did not change. Charged me almost $400. Tech left a big mess in my bathroom that I had to clean up. Turned out to be a vapor lock in the line that I feel the drain tech should have figured out. No happy with paying so much and having to clean up a big mess.

I'd like to start by saying both the technician, and the call center rep, were nice people. However, I set up an appointment, took the day off work to accommodate, then after 4 or 5 follow up calls, they showed up 5 hours later to perform the work. Granted, he did it blazingly fast, to get home at a reasonable time, but the communication and overall experience connecting to a person via their phone tree was atrocious. Would absolutely not reach back out unless I've exhausted every other option.

Very responsive. Technician was professional and super friendly. Explained everything. Cleaned up perfectly. This was an emergency on Thanksgiving, so we were grateful to have a drain backup dealt with within a few hours.

Quoted to fully clean out culvert pipe, paid $1,300 to have someone spray the inside with a high pressure 3/8 jet fed from a garden hose. Anyone with a pressure washer could do this, I agreed to this quote as it sounded reasonable to properly clean out a 12 concrete culvert pipe as you need to scoop out all sludge and gunk stuck to the walls and floor. Yes the volume of water that comes out of a garden hose flows just fine, but there is still 6 of sediment along the bottom that restricts the flow enough to back up about 3 acres of land when it rains in the winter. When I called to get a refund they said the plumber did what was asked of them. Next time I'll think twice before leaving it to the professionals.

The service provided by the technician, John (sp?), was great. He was happy and willing to communicate with me by phone as the owner of the rental property where the service was needed, and also provide some education/tips to the tenants in person to help maintain the drain properly. They were able to come the same day of the request and everything was exactly what you would want from a less-than-desirable (and expensive) situation. The problem was solved quickly and I give John 5 stars. The reason I gave 4 stars for the entire service is because of the person who took my call (dispatch). He was laconic, sighed often, and sounded annoyed and/or frustrated. He cut me off frequently (so much so that he didn’t hear the correct spelling of my name and entered it wrong on the ticket) and didn’t answer my questions when I admitted that I didn’t know the difference between hydro and blade options. He just said it was “[my] preference”, even though i told him multiple times I didn’t know the difference. Never once did he say that hydro was more expensive. He continued to sound frustrated. I give that guy 1.5 stars only because he actually did send someone, but I was so irritated that I almost cancelled the service and went with another company… but John compensated for the dispatch person’s shortcomings.

Jesse showed up within an hour of our call. He was knowledgeable about our issues and offered several excellent suggestions going forward. He was thorough and went the extra mile to check out an additional area of concern. Jesse emphasized repeatedly his willingness to return if we have any further problems. He was very conscientious about leaving his work area tidy and clean. And he could not have been more friendly.

When I called, I was clear with what I needed, a replacement water heater. I was specific in the type and the size. I was told they would be there the following morning between 8 and noon. At 10:30 I was called and told he'd be late. I asked about the water heater and he said he may not be able to do it today. I said if he can't install it, then there is no point in coming. Then I got a call at 12:30 saying he'd be there around 1:30. When the plumber arrived, he was very helpful and attentive. He gave me a quote (which was higher than other quotes I had received) but he thought he could get one that day from the warehouse. After a fair amount of time draining the old water heater (no fault of his!) I helped him by emptying buckets so he didn't have to call a drainage technician and finish the job tomorrow after adding that to the bill. At the end of the day, I got a $600 water heater from Home Depot for over $3300. Yes, it was on a weekend, but I was clear with what I needed and feel it should have been half this cost. The plumber was great, and if he had his own business I wouldn't think twice about calling him directly. The good: service on the weekend. The bad: gouging and marking up a mediocre water heater.******After suggestion that a follow up would occur to discuss my review, nothing happened. My suggestion is to buy a water heater yourself even if you go with Roto-Rooter. It will save you a 100% markup fee******

Called them 8/6/22 at 1:30 for a clogged kitchen drain. The dispatcher told me someone can be there within two hours. The technician showed up on time and presented my manager with a prefilled invoice for $857. My manager questioned the amount but issued a check for that amount. All what’s needed to resolve the issue was to run the snake through the line, he was on site for about 30 minutes. He left us some additives to use in the future.When I was notified of the charge, I called their office and was transferred few times, I left a voice message, I called the next day and was able to talk to the commercial division supervisor. I questioned charging us 857 for running the snake through the line, and the fact the technician came in with an already prefilled invoice. The supervisor had no explanation to what happened but promised to look into it and get back to me. I was not expecting a call back anyway! I hate writing a review but this experience was a bit frustrating.

The guys were considerate, thoughtful, helpful, in the aid of our needs. Kenny took the time to explain what he was going to do each step of the way and did a follow up after the job was completed. The camera tech man whose name I forget but it started with an M. He told us what was needed and that they would do the sewer line repair in stages. He gave us options. I missed his call in the late afternoon, and I will have to get back with tomorrow. Thank you both., you are an excellent team.

Excellent service: I appreciate the honesty and clear quote. You will pay either way: if the service manages to unclog the drain or not - there cannot be any guarantee. In my case, it worked!We had a 50ft, partially collapsed, driveway storm water drain. The rooter was in, in about 30minutes and cleaning took another 30min. I was given extra information about the likely condition of the drain that helps me decide on future maintenance work.

RR suggested we needed a sewer scope. I have requested the sewer scope video multiple times & still haven’t received the video. I requested this from the onsite tech and dispatch. I paid for the service and a copy of the video footage should come with the service.Since the 1 star review the tech reached back out to reschedule another sewer scope. I set up a date and time with the tech and they neglected to show up or respond to my voice & texts messages after our arrangement. This is bad business, why reach back out if your not going to follow through. A total waste of my time with no remorse.OK, this will be my last post, too much time wasted here. After I added to my original posts, I received ANOTHER call from RR wanting to make it right AGAIN. I'm OK with this, that is good business. However, I scheduled ANOTHER appoint today between 9am and 10am, the first available. Fast forward....... it is now 11:45 am, so I called, and was told the tech called out sick. My first questions was, was anyone planning to call me and other customers to let us know. They said NO, and requested ANOTHER appointment between 1:30 pm & 2:30 pm. I said NO thanks, NOT AGAIN. At this point good business would be to refund me the cost of my original appointment based off the BAD BUSINESS we received, not once, not twice, not three times but FOUR TIMES. A total waste of time...........If your time is valuable please consider another option.

I called on a Sunday thinking I would schedule for Monday. They came out within 2 hours of my call and fixed my toilet. The price was fair and the plumber was so kind and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend this company.

When you have experienced a backup of sewage in your basement more than once, you have to get the right people to repair your problem.The right people/company for me was Roto-Rooter. They responded immediately, located the problem, provided me with options and told me the best way to repair my line. The work was done professionally, started on time and completed on time. The work was inspected and approved by Tacoma inspector and now I can flush, shower and wash my cloths with no worries. The Field Supervisor was very knowledgeable and easy to work with. From start to finish he kept me informed as to what was going on with the repair. The whole crew worked well as team and I am so thankful that I chose Roto-Rooter to repair my sewer line..

William and Aman came out and did a great job. They did quality work in a fraction of thw time I had expected. They undid some rough diy plumbing done by previous owners and brought our water heater up to code in very short order and replaced a hose bib.Definitely a great experience and I will be calling Rotorooter if I have any further plumbing needs.

The quality of service and responsiveness was good, but the cost for a simple drain cleaning was extremely high—over $500 after we used a coupon off the website. When I called, I was told the cost would vary based on job complexity. The plumber who came out said it was a flat rate. Had I known the rate beforehand, I would have gone elsewhere.

Bryan with Roto-Rooter is wonderful. He showed up during the designated time to diagnose the issue with our natural gas water heater. Unfortunately for us, replacement was indicated. We were able to work with Bryan right then and there to schedule the follow-up service date to replace the water heater. Replacement was performed at that time with everything working great. Bryan also worked with us to provide all the necessary information we needed to file the supporting documents with our Home Warranty service. Highly recommend!

Second time I used Roto Rooter in the last year. Another good experience. Not the cheapest but good work, pleasant to work with and knowledgeable. On time professional and use them again. Would recommend. Both times the plumbers they sent were very good to work with.

Previously, I had a positive experience with them, but my latest problem with my disposal was not as positive. I was scheduled for a 4-hour window on Friday. Nope. No show. I rescheduled for a 4-hour window on Saturday. Nope. No show. I scheduled for a 4-hour window on Sunday. True, a guy did show up 3+ hours in to the window (unmasked, no smile, not the least bit friendly) and assessed my problem and said he was going to send someone else out to do the job because he was needed elsewhere. When I told him about how many days I was waiting for service and he was here *now*, can't he do it so I don't have to wait *again*. Nope. Mr. Unmasked Unfriendly was too in-demand and said someone else should be here in 30 minutes. Try 90 minutes. The guy that showed up this time was nice enough, albeit unmasked, but sorted out my issue quickly enough. I remained masked up.I wish I had great service like I did the last time I needed them, but nope. If you aren't immuno-compromised and don't mind hanging out for 3 days until someone kind of shows up, this may work for you, but I don't want to go through that nonsense again, so will look for another vendor who values their customers more.

Farnood and team were so helpful when my sewer system ruptured and backed up into my house. They came out immediately to stop the problem, fixed the pipe the next day, and kept me up to date throughout the process. They made this real bummer of a problem so much less painful than it could have been. Thank you!

Marcus was the best - knowledgeable, friendly and professional. He was behind schedule due to heavy traffic and called ahead to inform us of the delay and when to expect him. A complex clog in the drain line took considerable time to troubleshoot and then correct but Marcus stuck to it and corrected the issue. He went through the effort of going into the crawlspace to see the complexity of the drain lines and then revised the plan to clear the clog. He gave us his card to call him if there was still an issue and arranged for the camera crew to show up today to verify a clean drain line.

I am writing this at the request of the service provider. The person who came to my residence was Blake. His arrival was prompt, he ascertained quickly that the problem was a clogged line about 90 feet out toward the sewer. He had to help move boxes out of the aisle to bring his equipment into the house to the main bathroom. He also helped put them back afterward, and did helpful adjustments to the inside of the toilet tank to enable it to work better. His disposition the whole time he was there was oriented to helping, and to providing service and answers to questions. My only reservation has nothing to do with him personally. It has to do with demands of overhead at Rotor Rooter. In any case, this service call was very expensive, and aside from meeting Blake I wish I had taken more time to research ratings of competitors. At this point, I have identified several possibilities as retrospectives and for future reference. If Rotor Rooter would prefer not to post this, I would understand. I have not received information from them or discussed with them at any time before, during, or after this service call regarding the cost of service.

I had a leaking hose spigot in the front of my house that was a bit trickier than normal--it would leak from within my siding even when I was able to get the spigot, itself, to shut off. Daniel from Roto Rooter was quick to diagnose the problem, which was likely caused by a burst pipe behind the spigot/in my wall, and replaced the spigot and the pipe, which were so old that it wasn't easy to get out. It's likely another plumbing company might have charged less, and the way they give the quote ($169 for diagnosing, but waived if you accept their bid), you basically have to accept their bid. In the end, it was about $590 + tax for the labor and the part (labor being 90 minutes, the part being a replacement hose spigot with maybe 8 inches of pipe, for $60), so, I probably got hosed (pun intended). However, I had full confidence in Daniel, and I don't fault him for quoting so high because he's probably instructed to do so. In the end, I was happy, but next time I might look elsewhere just given that it was about $530 for 90 minutes worth of time.

Ive tried a few different plumbing companies and Roto Rooter is the only one that has consistently done a good job and not made me feel like I got scammed at the end of my service call.Everytime I call they are quick to respond and get me scheduled. All of the people I have dealt with have been incredibly nice and knowledgeable including the people who answer the phone and the plumbers themselves.Today was no exception. I called, they came out same day with an amazing plumber (Ali) who was able to easily diagnose and fix our issue and was very personable and accommodating.Plumbers are always expensive but Roto Rooter has consistently been competitively priced more favorably than other companies I've used. This coupled with the level of customer service they provide make them one of the best plumbing companies to choose in my opinion. Overall I highly recommend them for any and all of your plumbing needs.

My problem was that water from washing machine did not drain smoothly, creating a big paddle of water in the laundry room. For the past months, I had to stand and watch while running the washer so that when the machine switched from washing to rinse, I could stop and restart repeatedly to avoid the overflow of water from standing drain pipe.My appointment was supposed to be from noon but the roto rooter guy came a hour earlier, which was ok with me since I was at home at the time.The guy did some work with industrial sized power-operated snake and told me that it should be fine. We wanted run the machine to test out but he did not want to wait for another 20 minutes and so he left. After he left, because he was so confident, I ran the machine with lots of water… well. Disaster!!! I was so convinced by him that I let the machine run alone by itself! The result was … flood, FLOOD all over the floor.I called him right away and he said he would come back next morning.Well, he came … like 7:30 am.He did again some work with the snake, but this time, he really spent and thought and worked on several pipes connected to the washer pipe, any one of which could possible hide the clog. Then, the work was completed and the problem was resolved.After his work, he took some time to explain what might have been happening to cause the overflow.Ever since then, I can run the machine confidently without my supervision!In the end, it worked out beautifully. The roto guy was very professional and worked out the problem for us until it was resolved. I am very grateful.This work costed roughly $600. Initially I thought it was expensive for just running the snake machine for a hour. But he came back next day and took care of it.. so was it worth it?I wish that the problem was resolved at his first visit.I wish that he was a bit more patient at the first time around to see to it all the way to the end.Overall, great experience and I certainly I appreciated the roto guy’s work. Originally they said the plumber was to be arriving 8-10am, but he arrived pretty late. I figured okay, that’s pretty normal he could be booked. But he ended up arriving around 1 which was 3 hours later and 4 calls to roto-rooter.He also entered the tenets apartment when he arrived but didn’t notify me (the land lord) that he had arrived.I had to call dispatch multiple times to find that he had already entered the tenants restroom and had taken a look. On my arrival he said that this repair would be a flat fee of 420 and I had to sign before we reentered the house and he would complete the job.He arrived with a new faucet which was great and originally said it’s be a simple job. I hopped downstairs for a quick meeting I couldn’t miss, and told him I’d be back if he needed me or if there was more information besides what needed to be done.I come back he proceeds to tell me that he could A. Block my faucet to my tub and make it so that it only showers or B. Get materials to fix the problem, but charge extra 120 dollars for the travel fee not including whatever the material costs were.Of course I was flabbergasted. Option A is ridiculous- how can someone say- oh, I finished the job by blocking your bath spout. Please give me 420 dollars.I called to fix my bath spout- not remove it! I told him I want option 2 (even though I’m thinking dang that is a lot of money).However, it was understandable that he didnt expect this problem and didn’t anticipate the pipe being the wrong size for the faucet he brought.He returned and fixed the faucet. It looked like he was doing fine so I excused myself briefly to have another zoom meeting and told him to holler when he was done . He didn’t call or contact me , and after I finished my 25 min meeting, I messaged my tenet to ask if the plumber was finished. My tenet said he was, so I hopped back upstairs to take a look and was confused that there was no caulking.I went outside to pay and asked him about the caulking and he said he didn’t have any on hand but that my tenet said he could caulk the faucet.I wasn’t happy that he didn’t have caulking, (seems very unprepared), but understood that my tenet could finish that job since he offered to do so.Finally, the plumber offered a 75 dollar discount- which I was confused about because when I first called, the person on the line said that the 75 dollars for an estimate would fold into the job automatically if I proceeded to go forward with the job- so if felt funny to be offered it with a different context.He was a nice guy, but seemed underprepared and was late

We recently had several of our drains that were blocked and the Roto crew worked diligently to clear our facility. J.D 2831 and Diego 4755 were very knowledgeable technicians. They went out of their way to pick up a special camera that was not normally on their truck and that was before they even showed up here. We have multiple drains and multiple areas that needed attention and they cleared them all. thanks

Phenomenal service. So easy to book and the problem got fixed without breaking the bank.We had a clog in a bathtub drain past the p trap. The pipes are old, maybe cast iron, and it was difficult. Allen got through with grit and determination, and kept an optimistic and professional attitude throughout. I was really, really impressed with both him, and the ability to book online for next day service. I hate calling plumbers because it's always too much money and plumbing companies seem to hate me, or my cast iron pipes. This was not the case at all here. We had been trying to fix it ourselves for a week so we could avoid having to call, but next time, we're just gonna call here first.

This appointment was scheduled for Friday between 12-4 pm, called at 11:45 am to say they wouldn’t make it out, Rescheduled for Saturday between 12-4 pm again was told I would be first on that time frame, received call at 4:15 pm saying they would again not make it out. They wanted to Reschedule for Monday - I work, so scheduled me for Sunday between 8-10 am said I was first again on the schedule, received text message to confirm appt at 8:10 am, another test saying my Technician Ali was on his way would be 30-45 minutes, received a call about 8:45 am saying the text messages were an error, they didn’t have anyone until 12 pm to come out and again was told I would be the first on that time frame - I have used Roto Rooter in the past and it was awesome, not sure what in the world has happened now. Honesty is the best policy, if you cannot schedule and be on time, don’t say you can. Offer another company if you cannot meet your job expectations. Not sure I will ever use them again.

Our kitchen sink was not draining. The service technician Darkin had excellent customer service, was extremely friendly and very thorough to make sure that our needs were met. We are very pleased and impressed with the service that was provided.

Excellent service. Gio came out early on a Sunday morning to clear a main line. He tracked down an access point that had been buried in the yard and cleaned up a very difficult job with expertise and amazing customer service. Even followed up with me later in the day. A great experience! 10 out of 10 stars for sure!

When the plumber arrived his service was good.However:1) They gave me a 3pm-7pm window for his arrival, then called me at 4:10 to say he was in the neighborhood, but then he didn't arrive until 6:55pm. Yes it was within the window, but I would have really appreciated if they would have given me a better estimate of the arrival time during the earlier call. Cable Guy jokes were abundant during the wait.2) I am a pretty handy person and I know the effort it takes to snake a drain, so $700 for less than 1 hours' simple work was more than excessive (but at 7pm they had me over a barrel). Next time I will save $600, rent a snake at HD, and do it myself.

My kitchen drain backed up due to an obstruction in the pipe. The blockage was impossible to snake out, it was some strange slime like material such that a drain snake could push through, but not push out. The repair entailed location of the blockage, construction of a containment area due to the dust created from the removal of a patch of cement basement flooring, cutting out a section of drain pipe, pressure cleaning the remaining pipe, replacement of the removed section of pipe, filling the cavity with gravel and pouring new cement to restore the floor and extensive clean-up of the area.Chuck Graf, the technician who performed this work was friendly, professional and skilled. I used to be a manager at The Boeing Company, based on my experience I found Chuck to be the kind of employee every manager desires. He's got a good attitude and work ethic, highly competent with respect to his requisite skill set and great customer interaction.

My previous feedback was taken off as it reflected on the reality. I felt their plumber was unnecessarily making up things and charges so I had them take a look at a perfectly working sink just to check the genuineness. As expected, he said he’d have to change the plumbing, cut something, remove something and add something. Long story short it’s a scam they charge you $75+taxes for visiting and looking at things from far off distance with a torch and they give you an unreasonable quote. Either you loose the 75+taxes or if you are ignorant you pay thousands unnecessarily. So against their ~$2000 quote (Plus more if the perfectly working sink had to be repaired) I got the relevant work done with better quality and more transparency @ $600. These guys reading my previous review did try to reach out to me again offering to visit again and promising to give me a better pricing which I declined. I am sorry but it’s a scam save your money and take your business elsewhere.

After a pipe under my kitchen sink broke late Thursday evening, I requested an appointment through the website for the the following Friday afternoon, assuming that was the earliest I'd be able to be seen. Friday morning, I received a call that a technician would actually be available within the hour, and Wayne was on-site by 10am. He quickly diagnosed the issue, thoroughly explained all the necessary repairs and costs, and answered all my questions. He completed the work within the hour and returned my kitchen to full functionality, with a much improved p-trap setup. I also appreciated the COVID safety protocols he employed, and the customer service agents on the phone were fantastic. Altogether, as wonderful and painless an experience as any unexpected plumbing repair could be...highly recommend!

I called thinking I'd get an appointment in a week or so and was so surprised to be able to have someone come out that afternoon. Cole arrived on time and was very professional and knowledgeable. He cleaned out the line from my clothes washer to main sewer line. He had to clean it out a few times, and did not leave until he verified that it was clear. He stayed until he got the job done, and left the laundry room in better condition than when he came. Thank you Cole!

Great same day service. The tech Curt was professional and friendly. Actually came back twice today because I turned him down the first time. Not cheap but nothing is today. Well worth it for me. Would definitely use them again

Had a toilet/shower back up on a Saturday evening. They said they could send someone out that night between 6-10pm. No one came. This was okay with us. The next morning Joey from RR came. He was great. Unclogged our drain quickly and was very polite and hard working. Highly recommend RR and Joey.

Jessie showed up right on time. He was professional and really knew his trade. We've had other companies out this summer for the same problem. They were never able to do any more than just clear the drain. It didn't take Jessie long to find the reason for this recurring blockage. We now have a permanent fix and I know it will not happen again.

Was charged $700 to try to unclog a pipe. I know it's Roto-Rooter so there's always high prices for the quick response, so I can swallow that part and admit my urgency got the better of me.The technician ran a snake through my pipe and broke it open, flooding my garage underneath. It was explained to me that I signed a waiver because they can't know for sure the condition of the pipes. I was upset but it seems standard practice.The issue lies with what happened after that. Roto-Rooter sent out someone else to take a look, who made a comment to me stating that they didn't know why the technician tried to run the snake when the condition of the pipe was apparent. They sent out another plumber who charged me an additional $800 to fix the broken drain pipe.Since then, I've had two different plumbers from two different companies come in who both verified that the fixing job was not done properly, and that I would likely experience another leak soon. I was told that the proper connector for my pipe size was hard to find, but the Roto-Rooter plumber apparently decided to use temporary clamps to do the job rather than to search for the pipes. The second plumber couldn't believe that Roto-Rooter did such an unprofessional job on it and wanted to know if I was sure it was Roto-Rooter, because he couldn't believe it. All for $800. And this was after already paying $700.I've since had to pay someone else to do the repair properly.Roto-Rooter is a scam.

When our sewage was blocked last night, Seth came over at 11pm and worked until 2am to cut through roots that had grown in. Since there was still sludge, he recommended we hydrojet the line. Gio came in the morning and talked me through his findings as he used thr camera to inspect the line and hydrojets to remove the remaining roots. Both Seth and Gio were professional, knowledgeable and provided high quality service. Highly recommended!!

Was there within 20 minutes fair prices and great service he actually put the gravel and rocks back afterwards. Stop water leaking and minimum damage due to fast response!! They said it be 2 hours it actually was 20 minutes

I've used Roto-Rooter twice now, and I've been extremely happy each time. The technicians are experienced, friendly, and informative. I was never questioning how much my service would cost, what was being done, or what to expect. They're honest and willing to work WITH us to figure out the issue.

Drop it down and re-installed. Tightened it well. Nearly $400.00 for 45 min work seemed high. No parts, and was a standard rate I was told. I am 82 yrs old and was hoping for a better cost, but the service was very good after a two day wait to get the leaking sink appointment.

Ali review the issue happening with my water heater. Give me different options and come out on Christmas day and come back on Monday to install water heater for me. He wait to make sure I was satisfied with the water and even leaved his contact information so that I reach out to him if something else comes up with it. But only leaved after I was satisfied with my new water heater. He was extremely professional and made sure he took his time explaining everything to me.

I called for service that wasn’t urgent and they scheduled me for a 4 hour window that day. After they were late and past their window, they called me to tell me they were late and asked if I wanted to wait another 2 hours or reschedule.I rescheduled for 2 days later. That day I waited through another other window and they were late again. They finally came out 1.5 hours late. Then I was informed it would be more than $1,000 to try and clear my outside drain. I’d waited so long that I frustratingly agreed. The tech quickly found that the drain was not clogged but instead just didn’t go anywhere after about 4 feet. I was discounted $250 so it still cost me almost $1,000. The tech was very nice and professional but that doesn’t help that I felt like I got totally ripped off. I will not be using Roto-Router again nor recommending them.

I called on Thursday to report problems. The technician Joe came the next morning. He gave great advice and came back when I couldn't get help with my warranty service. He worked beyond his contract day to make sure I went into the weekend with hot water. I am so appreciative of his work ethic and commitment to making sure I had water over the weekend. The technician that we had show up to help our early learning center was one of the most professional and helpful people that I have had come to our center. He was dispatched after hours and made over an hour drive to come help us out. It turned into a bigger job than expected, butJD #2831was on time and very good at communicating what he was doing while working on our sewer lines. He had several suggestions for a more permanent fix to help ensure that our classrooms will remain open.

Giovanni at Roto-Rooter saved the day today! Yesterday, my toilet overflowed when I was running multiple appliances (dishwasher, shower, and washing machine). Our hot water heater was 22 years old and got a pin hole leak in the cold intake pipe. They came out on Friday and replaced the intake pipe but since the unit was over 20 years, we decided to have the whole thing replaced. They scheduled the replacement for Monday and didn't charge for the repair since it would be a part of the whole replacement anyways. The technician was very nice and completed the install quickly and efficiently.

Another service charged me 300 dollars spent 20 minutes and gave up. The man from rootorooter fixed the problem in 5 minutes

Our technician, Simba, was professional and courteous, explaining the process along the way. I asked for advice on drain management for the septic system and was advised about enzyme-based monthly treatment. Simba was knowledgeable about the layout of the plumbing in terms of the manner in which other drains in the house meet the kitchen drain and dump into a 4 line out to the septic tank. He was mindful of not touching household surfaces when he removed his gloves so as to not inadvertently contaminate them. Paperwork was completed quickly, and the terms of service were explained clearly. If I use Roto Rooter again, I'll request Simba!

Representative was friendly and on time. After telling him what the issue was he explained what the first procedure would be and the cost and if that did not solve the problem what the next procedure would be and the cost. In the end had to do the second procedure, which was more costly 🙁 but he did offer a coupon which helped reduce the cost.

Excellent response time (next day) and our technician, Joey, was on time and courteous. By demonstrating the backup flow a main sewer blockage was diagnosed. Joey then ran his rotor with a 3 inch blade, that got stuck in the pipe and he tried again with a 2 inch blade that was able to pass. Water was able to flow without backup. At this point the scope camera was used and showed a gouged hole in the main pipe. We were priced at over $5000 to excavate and repair this (after over $500 for the rotor service). At this point I got a second plumber out and he was shocked that a blade was used before the camera scope and that a metal blade was used on plastic pipe. Whether or not this caused the gouge is unknown, as again the camera came second. The new crew was able to repair the spot at less cost, and identified the problem of badly laid angle to the original pipe which allowed blockage debris to settle. Joey was nice, but perhaps inexperienced (as was I, a non-plumber), and roto-rooter was the most expensive option we quoted.

We had a plumbing emergency where our Angle Stop in our main bathroom combusted and flooded half the house. Roto-Rooter sent Team Lead William over and he was exactly who we needed. William came and thoroughly explained the issue and cause of it. He calmed both me and my wife down assuring us that they would take care of us. William and Water Restoration Field Supervisor Ashley really made us feel more comfortable. Now we have a plan on how to attack and fix this problem. I don't remember why I called Roto Rooter the first job I needed them to do but it must have been good service, knowledgeable, trustworthy and fair pricing because I called them again for a water heater replacement this time. Same story. I'll keep calling them as needed!

Received a call from the plumbing manager, Drew regarding our experience below and I am updating review. We discussed our experience with him and he was very understanding of our situation; I felt that he was honest and willing to help us. Would consider giving them another try at another time._______________________________________________________________________Received a call at 7:20AM that a plumber would be available to arrive early (within 30 - 45mins). Plumber did not arrive until 9:04AM. We had them come out to identify a leak from our shower/bathtub; they did a quick inspection and told us it would cost $400 to do further inspection (non invasive). We went ahead thinking they would be doing more testing, but were disappointed with services provided to come to the conclusion that no leak was found. We are going with another company to identify leak. Services were a waste of our time for no resolution.

Our technician was on time and went above and beyond to get the job done. He removed several large roots and cleared the blockages. Also took the time to show me the camera scope so I could see all the problems.I am a homeowner and an owner of a construction company. I strongly recommend this company.

An hourly rate of $420 is outrageous for a non emergency, dishwasher simple leak in the hose connecting to the sink. When he didn’t have a replacement hose in his truck, he charged me $105 to go get one, was gone an hour, and then charged me for the part. A $600 total bill! I could have bought a new dishwasher. I’ll never call Roto Rooter again.

We had a leak from our kitchen sink pipe into our crawl space. The smell was AWFUL and we were worried about water damage. Roto Rooter came out the same day and the pipe was fixed and they did an amazing job with the clean up. They also worked with our insurance company directly to get services covered. We appreciate their professionalism and prompt service. I can't recommend them highly enough and will certainly use their services in the future, if needed!

Called to unclog my kitchen sink, David Haney showed up within an hour of the call being made. Was very friendly and professional, had my clog fixed quickly (was full of grease). I'd recommend David if you ever need drain work done.

Really pleased with the service we had this past weekend from Bryan and Roto Rooter. He quickly diagnosed the problem, put together a reasonable quote, and did so in a helpful and professional manner. Unfortunately the parts he needed required him to go pick them up, but he did so and still finished the job all on a Saturday. Really appreciate him being there to fix our leaky water main.

The dispatcher was very kind and helpful. We had a clogged main sewer line that was causing our toilets and tub to back up. The technician was expected between 5:30-7:30pm. They did not arrive until 11:30pm. I would like to mention that every hour they would call to notify us that our technician was running behind, which I did appreciate.Once the technician did arrive he was very informative and friendly, however after sending a snake down the toilet 100ft, he declared that we needed a camera because he wasn’t running into anything that would cause the blockage. He scheduled a camera to come out and find where the clean out was because we were unsure.The camera technician came out and said we have a sludge buildup 30 ft out with no clean out. He said he said the solution would be to break up the sidewalk cement and install a new clean out and he could get the paperwork all started for $9950. I thanked him for his time and took his number with his quote.A friend of ours is a plumber. We asked him for a quote as well. He came out determined where the clean out “should be” (under our porch), popped up a few boards, dug down to the pipe and found a clean out! After spending $825 to not have a solution other than another appointment that quoted more to add something that we already have, made me feel swindled.

Our hot water heater needed urgent replacement after a blown tank and severely outdated pipes. Scott C from Roto Rooter came to our house and was very professional and you could tell right away he takes pride in his work and doing a high quality job. He wants it done the right way. Our fix wasn’t easy, but Scott was transparent with us throughout the repair and explained everything he’d be doing to bring our heating system up to par. Scott was even gracious enough to work into the evening hours to get the job done. I’d recommend Roto Rooter for anyone in need of a hot water heater repair, install or complete overhaul (like us). The pressure regulating device on our house wore out. We didn't really notice until suddenly water damage in the kitchen that leaked into our basement and made a whole mess and required quite a bit of repair just for 2 days of dripping before we noticed it.The pressure regulating device also resulted in our tankless water heater rupturing the same week.Both times I had people in the same day to assess the damage and get started. The water heater was Next Day quick, along with replacing the faulty piece that was causing all the problems in the first place. Like, the turn around was incredible.The kitchen/basement was trickier because they had to spend over a week getting it properly dry/sealed off with plastic. They were super quick to prioritize us and finished the job the moment we were able to get a contractor in to rebuild the part of the kitchen that had to be torn out so they could do the final work with a new faucet, garbage disposal, and dishwasher getting hooked up properly (which, apparently it hadn't been for years?)Thank you Bryan, Sam, and Matt for your insanely quick and professional work that wasn't rushed but was timely and allowed me to get back to living.

With a semi-clogged kitchen drain, I went online and liked the positive reviews for Roto-Rooter. I was able to fill out a request for service for the next day, at a time between 8a and 12Noon. The quick response said they’d text me 30 minutes before arrival, which they did. Sam showed up, masked, and we discussed the problem while outside near the drain clean-out. He provided information about possible causes, length of time to repair, and the price, which I signed. 30 minutes later, the work was done. I used the online $75 off coupon, a winner. I highly recommend Roto-Rooter.

I had 2 visits from Roto-Rooter, the 1st was David, an excellent rep for the company, courteous, knowledgeable, & friendly. Having been a general contractor in my day & a fire captain, I thought the $529 charge to clear a plugged sewer line to be a bit excessive because I could buy a drain machine for that or less. So, he gave me his phone # & said to call him if I had any questions or trouble. I bought a new machine, & kept adding accessories and misc. items galore, running the total invested up to $900. AND, still couldn't get the line cleared, even after pulling out almost 1/2 of a 5 gal bucket of wadded kleenix, which I have used as TP for the past 5 yrs in lieu of TP, since my nose runs 24-7-365. BAD IDEA DO NOT DO THIS!!! TP breaks up readily, whereas kleenix DOES NOT. Called David back, & he said I needed to have my sewer line jetted, short for pressure flushed up to 4000psi & Rooter's man Cole L. was the man for the job, the only catch, the minimum charge for the jetter job is $1200. Again, I thought a bit excessive, however no shower or dish or clothes cleaned for weeks, okay, come on out Cole. The job was done in a little over an hour, maybe more, but with a six month guarantee, I'm as happy as one can be being out over $ 2 grand entirely due to my own ignorance. Roto-Rooter is to be commended for employing both of these great reps. I think the charges are somewhat excessive, but I guess one can liken the situation to being in the desert w/o water, when you're bailed out of a terrible situation, thank your lucky stars you're still out & about w/o resorting to 5 gallon buckets!!!!!

I had sewage backup in my kitchen sink and laundry room. Called out some other local plumbers to address the issue and they were not up to the task. Rather than taking up the first guys on an offer that would have cost me in the thousands, I decided to call out Roto-Rooter and they got the job done within 30 minutes.

With $394.44 per hour rate for a simple toilet repair job and $25 part, I was shocked. Lowe's gave an estimating to install a brand toilet that will cost around $500 - $600. I'm not sure, I will never call Roto-Rooter again.

Plumber was polite and friendly. They worked very hard until the pipe was unclogged. I am knocking off one star because they where 2 hours past the two hour window and did not clean up as thoroughly after themselves. I don't expect them to clean up after me, and they had left sewage on the drain pipe under the sink and on the counter top from his hands.

My technician was Fred 4728. He was professional and personable. He was also very patient with me when I peppered him with lots of questions. I'm happy with the work he did, and I'll definitely call Roto-Rooter again should I need plumbing work in the future. BTW: The couple of times I needed to call the office, a real human being actually answered the phone rather than an answering machine, which was all I got from other plumbers I had called. That fact alone is reason enough to give Roto-Rooter high praise!

William (#1709) was very professional and did a fantastic job redoing the faulty water line plug in our ceiling. Cleaned up afterwards and was a very cool person to chat with while doing the job.I think the price was a bit steep for the service, but the service was top notch.

They cleared the drain and the service tech was good. I was not happy at all about the price. I asked for a quote on the phone and they said they never quote over the phone. Tech comes in and says it's 530 plus tax to snake a drain. It took him an hour or less. Felt like I was robbed.

The plumber fixed the wax seal under the toilet and fix the flange. We were unhappy with the price and contacted the owner (Drew). Drew was very reasonable to work with, listened to my concerns and after some discussion adjusted the pricing to an amount that we considered more reasonable. I think it’s not always the case that these situations can be resolved (and fairly quickly) - so I appreciate the effort that Drew invested to correct the situation.

We had a leak in an old water line in our bedroom ceiling. William came in on time, explained our options and the entire repair, went and got a part he didn't carry with him, opened the ceiling and made the repair, then cleaned up in under an hour. He also gave us some tips on other things in the house we're considering when we have the money, and on what we can safely do ourselves. He was also very careful not to let our rescue cat out of the house. A little expensive but not more so than other plumbers and felt really comfortable with him in the house. Taking Covid precautions, masks and gloves. Very pleased and will do again.

My overall experience with Wayne was good, however I feel like I was overcharged for the work done. I feel like I should have done my homework a little better but the work needed to be done in order for the sale to proceed. I showed the pictures of the work and the invoice, which doesn't break down the hourly rate to a few people and they feel I was overcharged for this work

Unprofessional tech, does not want to do job cause it was by basement so he needed ladder to get down, I showed him where the ladders is but he said I had to set up for him which I did. He can at 2pm, set up his pipe to jet the clogged storm water drain, 2:15pm he was done setting up and in five minutes at 2:20pm, he decided that this pipe won’t get unclogged, may be damaged. He did two down sprout in another five minutes at 2:25pm, he said the charge will be $770.00, 15 minutes of work and the drain he could not unclogged at all, the main reason I called for service. I have cameras all around the house and prove everything what I am writing is correct.I need you to credit my money except initial service call which is $75.

Rotor Rooter is the plumber to call when you need someone fast and responsive. Our kitchen sink was spewing sewage water all over and Sam was able to come within the hour. He fixed the problem and cleaned up the mess. Im extremely appreciative and won’t hesitate to call him again.We called other plumbing services only to be told it would be 4 days!!!!! I am so happy with my experience. People scare me with horror stories on plumbers and companies but I needed help. I was able to make the appointment online in like one minute and I got the text letting me know they were on their way. Upon arrival, Farnood, I believe his name is, was very clear on what they would do, what the cost would be, what would happen if they couldn’t fix it and was all around great! He was able to fix the situation and let me know the reason why it happened. Overall communication was great and the price was worth it. I can’t thank him enough.

I had a good experience overall. The plumber who came to my house was professional, helpful, and took care of the problem. My only complaint is the price. They won't give you an estimate over the phone, and they wanted to charge $300 to unclog a toilet (thanks kids!). Luckily I had a coupon and the plumber was very nice. But it's very expensive.

I had 2 other companies give me a crazy quote and “referred” me to the lending partner to finance what they said was a 5k job and rotoarooter was professional outlined the real issue and much needed advice for under $500. I am so glad I got another option from an experienced company!!

Came quickly and did an outstanding clean of my bathroom-sink drain. Only problem: outrageous price ($583) for 30 minutes work.

They were on time, verified there was a leak. The personal were nice. Where they failed was trying to diagnose the problem, the wanted to tear out the cabinets. They did not pull the dish washer, the had and used a camera they may have seen the leak. They estimated the repair at $2500.00 before they knew where the leak was. We found the leak our self and made the repair.

Showed up on time and couldn't believe that he was able to replace and install the new bigger water heater same day by himself! Was a lot faster than I anticipated! Very grateful for his help and knowledge. Definitely reccomend!

Horrible customer service and after-sales experience. I would give a zero if I would. Positive google reviews are mostly likely fake and prompt by promotion. Review Better Business Bureau (rated 1.3 out of 5) before you choose. Will recommend everyone against it.My house first had a pipe blockage Roto Rooter sent an unprofessional technician who provided a wrong diagnosis, provoked my tenant to leave, double-charged the blockage clear up service, and as a result, led to another blockage and consequently a water overflow which cost us $38K total.Reported the issue to senior management but the technician was fired when I reported so they were like this is none of our business as the employee is gone. They also say they cannot control the level of experience of the staff sent to the field and they have to train their employee somewhere. I cannot believe this is how a national company excuses itself by blaming everything on an unqualified employee. They did not think of reviewing their HR policy or training program but to tell their vulnerable customer it is what it is and deal with the loss yourself.This company also likes to charge extra and you have to be very careful when you review your bill because you will very likely see double charges or charges covered under warranty.

I didn't choose them, my property management company did. They quoted me $70K for a project that another highly respected and professional company did for $31K. They couldn't give me details on why it would be so expensive, were not communicative and cared only about getting my credit card on file.

My shower was backed up with toilet water. It was gross. David arrived earlier than I expected and was quick to resolve my issues. He explained the benefits of certain products and offered suggestions.

Our garbage disposal was making a weird noise and then completely turned off. We decided to call Rotor-rooter because we thought it was a big issue. After explaining the situation, the employee made me initial for a fee prior to looking at it. The garbage disposal wasn’t broken, it was clogged. He fixed it in 5 minutes and charged me $430 bucks. What a rip off! I will not be using this company in the future.Note- the employee who came was nice.

Great experience - needed a sewer scope done to support some inspections for a home purchase. Van was knowledgeable, fast and thorough. He answered all my questions and went above and beyond! Thank you!

Called a couple other plumbers. Everyone was booked or closed.They were available to do the job when i needed it done. $650.00 to clear the kitchen sink drain out to the sewer. Very pricey! The plumbers who showed up were professional and very knowledgeable of fixing the problem.

As service technician in residential HVAC for another contractor I appreciate it when a company does work in a professional manner. I understand that repair pricing is more than parts and labor, but also includes the whole range of expenses that it takes to run a business.Scott, the original technician identified that there was a clog in the sewer line. Quoted $950 to attempt to improve water flow by using an auger and then having the drain scoped with a camera to see what further repairs would be necessary. Scott was able to improve water flow but found that there was still a significant clog. Clayton arrived shortly after that with the camera and identified where the clog was located in the pipe, and was able to mark the spot in our backyard that would need to be dug up to access that pipe. Clayton was able to quote $15,000 to have access dug to that section of pipe, have the clog removed with hydrojetting, have a clean out installed, and assess further. Fortunately, he was able to help us set up financing for the repairs. The excavating team and hydrojetter arrived that same afternoon, and removed the tree that was in the way and dig a 4-5 foot deep hole. The old concrete pipe was found and opened up so that the hydrojetting could be done which removed the build up of waste. The sewer pipe was scoped again from there to identify that the old concrete pipe was eroding after 60+ years and was more susceptible to clogging. Clayton was able to give us further options to help prevent even more issues. Very satisfied with the Rotorooter team. They provided a timely solution to an unpleasant situation.

Appointment was at 10am-2pm. Delayed and further delayed every hour I called. Nobody called me with an update. I called like 8 times beginning 1:30pm. Nobody at different departments can give me an estimated time of arrival. Not the best customer service you could get or even tried to be helpful. Finally the serviceman came closed to 6pm after 8 hours and it was already dark. This is a residential/commercial building and I waited 8-hours in the car, cold, hungry and annoyed by the laundry room. The serviceman was not able to identify where the puddle of water might be coming from and if he needs to drain it it will cost another $400 which might not solve the problem so I just let him go. Nothing was resolved after 8 hours. RR still charged me for the service call $76 for 5-mins. No mercy or any discount for their lateness! Worst experience I've ever had. I would never want to use RotoRooter again.

Gio came to my house under an hour after contacting Roto Rooter - he was fantastic and the service was quick and easy! I will absolutely use Gio and Roto Rooter again if needed!

It was not a good experience. Didn't arrive at the scheduled time. Not the person I was told to expect. Didn't bring the equipment I had requested. The price was about double what I have paid in the past for a similar service. Didn't honor their $75 off coupon. The driver can negotiate the charge, so is trying to charge as much as possible. I will not use this company in the future and will tell my neighbors and our community association, not to deal with them as well.

Roto-Rooter was very responsive and got to our house within 2 hours of our call. Our technician, Simba, did a great job and fixed our problem very quickly. The only issue is that their standard price is negotiated before a repair is attempted. $289 for a 5 minute fix is quite a steep bill. Oh well, lesson learned. Next time I'll buy an auger and fix it myself.

Gio was great. Super knowledgeable and explained to me every step of the way what he was doing. He provided us with options and I felt he was honest and did a great job. Highly recommend Gio!

Toilet was not flushing. They augered the toilet and removed some wipes. Toilet still was not working properly the next day so they returned, augered again and fixed the problem.

Willie, showed up at my house today with a huge smile on his face and right from the get go explained everything he was going to do. We appreciate the effort Willie put in trying to do everything to keep our cost down. We definitely will be a customer for life.

Our technician, Drew, was very professional and communicative and sorted us out quickly. Happy with the service.Unhappy with the dispatch. Help didn’t arrive until almost 3 hours after the 4 hour appointment window I was given—I waited around for 7 hours. I had to call twice for an update, and each time was given another wildly inaccurate ETA. I’m sure there was good reason for the delay, but honest communication would earn those last two stars.

We had many issues with another company and spent money that didn't need to be spent.Roto-Rooter came out and unclogged our whole home main sewer drain without any issues.Both the gentleman who unclogged it and the one who came out the next day with the camera were EXCELLENT!Very knowledgeable, and spent a lot of time explaining to us what was going on and future problems that might happen as well as tips on how to fix it and what they would do to fix it. Both were extremely friendly and very kind and great to deal with.We are lucky that we decided to go with Roto-Rooter once the other company left.Thank you for hiring A+ employees!

Joey F. was very professional and respectful. He made sure all the 'bases were covered'. This was an emergency so I know why I paid $790.50 to have my toilet unplugged but as a senior citizen living from on Social Security and my pension even with the $75 senior deduction, this wiped out any savings I had and some. But thank you for be there on a holiday weekend.

Very good at their job, Tyler was my technician. Super knowledgeable, and was able to find the blockage and clear it, before anymore damage could be done. Roto will be my go too from now on.

This is the second time using Roto-Rooter. I was able to get a quick apt, the tech was friendly, explained what he was doing, gave me some good advise, and cleaned up as if he wasn't even here when finished.

So I'll start by saying the actual plumbers that come out to do the job were great. They were very helpful and understanding. Now that being said. I spoke to 3 people to schedule my appointment and have had 2 plumbers sent out (so far. The job is still not complete) the people that scheduled the appointment are... The worst part of the experience. I made it very clear to them that I needed a specific service done. But the first plumber they was sent out didn't have the equipment to do the job because he was told the job was something different from what I told them, but he was nice and helpful in trying to quickly get someone else out to do the job. The second plumber had everything except a scope so we had to schedule a 3rd person to come out but again he was very nice and helpful in getting things set up. So like I stated the men/ women the actual do the work are fantastic. The office people NEED A LOT OF WORK!!! If the person who took the information for the appointment had listened to the reason I called all the hassle could have been avoided and I would have wrote a great review.

Before calling Roto-Rooter, we were strung along for three weeks by another plumbing place to get our tenant's water heater replaced.When we called them, we managed to get an inspection on the same day! The technician (Sergey) called that day and explained the situation, and what work needed to be done (it was a two person job due to the way the heater was set up).He was very responsive to calls and texts, and booked a whole-day block of work for two business days after the inspection.Overall a very positive experience with the company, as well as Sergey personally. Would definitely recommend them to others.

The plumber that came was great and he did a good job. We were given a window of 10-2 and I had to call at 2:40 because I hadn't heard from them. He came about 45 minutes later, so that definitely wasn't in the window. Lucky for me, I didn't really have plans that day so it turned out fine. I do think they're a bit expensive, but I wanted someone on a Sunday so I know I paid for the convenience of that. I was VERY happy that they came out the day after I called and took care of my issue.

RotoRooter was easy to reach and was able to send a professional out to my home to diagnose and clear my waste water line the same day I called.

I used Roto-Rooter after my laundry room sink decided to start overflowing in the middle of the night. They provided a service window for the following day and sure enough showed up on time.I was a bit skeptical at first considering the price tag to service the drain, but ultimately they are providing a skilled labor for which I have no expertise - an hourly rate that rivals many high-powered corporate jobs.Sam and Joey assessed the situation and what the potential options were and they went to work. When they were done, they explained the problem (build up of grease, hair, and other fun things), preventative care. They also took the time to answer all of my follow-up questions. Ultimately, the drain is back up and running and laundry in my household can resume.On a side note, when I told them about a few more drains that potentially needed clearing, they provided a quote (to which I declined) but they didn't try to upsell, pressure, or scare me into the additional service. That was a nice change from other service providers.Sam and Joey were great, and I would not have any issues using them again in the future.

We needed a dishwasher drain hose installed so called Roto-Rooter Plumbing and Water cleanup. they did arrive early and called first. when they got here they indicated that they needed to go get a new hose (we had just purchased one but we were not skilled enough to figure out how to install this new hose). They were gone for about an hour and returned with the hose. The actual install took less than an hour and they did not have to remove the dishwasher. when it came to paying them the bill came to 980.00!! OMG are you kidding me the dishwasher and original install did not cost that much. when my husband (80 years old) began questioning this the two men became unprofessional and began yelling at him you signed this and this is theft we will be calling the police I work graveyard and this yelling woke me up, when I arrived out in the kitchen I was totally shocked to see two relatively large men hovering over my husband who was sitting in a walker you have to pay this or we will take out the hose we put in and leave and began threatening him. At this time my husband told them to get out of my house and I had a chance to look at the bill and was shocked to say the least even I told them no way would we be paying this, they left as I walked back into the other room and immediately called the office. I was transferred to a voicemail for a man named Drew Everette where I left a voicemail. Drew called me back and we were able to work out a decent solution. The reason for the large bill was that the two were trying to charge us 600.00 to pull out the dishwasher which they did not even do! WATCH OUT FOR THESE GUYS THEY USE VERBAL ATTACKS TO GET YOU TO PAY INFLATED PRICES FOR THINGS AS WELL AS THINGS THAT THEY DID NOT DO.

The customer service of Marcus and Daniel were amazing however my issue still has not been resolved and now have to have to be referred to the plumbing section.Update: William from plumbing came out and repaired and replaced pipes that were causing issues under the house. He was informative and very helpful.

Scott C. was quickly and efficiently able to locate the teaspoon deeply jammed inside our garbage disposal. He took time to help us better understand how our garbage disposal worked and where to locate the reset button. Scott C. was extremely friendly and helpful throughout our experience. He was also sensitive and respectful of COVID-19 safety protocol. Scott C. demonstrates professionalism and expert customer service. Highly recommend!

On 6/22 Jacob from Roto-Rooter came and did a sewer cleaning on my property. He was polite and professional. After showing me what's wrong with my sewer, I agreed to upgrade my purchase from a regular snake to high pressure water wash. He worked hard and got things done quickly. A week later, I asked another tech, Marcel, to do a quick review of the work due to strong smell left behind. Marcel was also professional and kind. He showed me the inside of the sewer (Jacob cleaned very well) and explained the source of the smell. I can't say good enough things about the techs here. the only reason I give the service a 4 star review is because the phone operator is flimsy and seems to not know what they are talking about at the times.

Called them for water heater leak and the visit diagnosis was replacement of the heater for which they quoted more than the double amount that other respectable companies did. So, please DO NOT use them as I don't know why they are charging at that exorbitant rate for no reason. When I asked them to give me a breakdown they said sorry we do not do so. Thus, no transparency also. Definitely a RED FLAG. Sorry folks you have to mend ur ways.

I had Drew Everett as my Service Technician. He was very professional. He explained to me every step of the way the services he was providing and cost. He did not do any service without letting me know before hand. After completion of the services he showed me exactly what was wrong and recommended services I needed. He was great!! I will be calling on him again for maintenance ro my water heater.

A man named Mike from Roto-Rooter came to address what I thought to be a garbage disposal clog. He assessed that it was a clog in the pipes. I have a home warranty program I purchased so I needed to call them with the technician at my house. Mike acted annoyed and was very abrupt with the person on the line. After the call ,which after Mike's diagnosis wasn't covered because it was pipes, I told him that this may be annoying to him, but it's my money and I needed to make sure I was maximizing all my benefits I had available to me. His attitude did turn around and he ended the visit more friendly and helpful. It cost me $448.11 for him to remove carrots from the drain. He said he couldn't guarantee the work as the plumbing set up isn't correct. If I had to do it over again, I would definitely get a second opinion. They did come quickly and fix the problem which was appreciated.

The plumber, Jake, was very informative and professional. The prices that Roto Rooter charges, are a joke, however! I would recommend the individual plumber, but I will NEVER recommend Roto Rooter d/t your ridiculous price gouging. Criminal!

Roto-Rooter employees were quick to respond, professional, and friendly. They thoroughly explained everything they were doing and how we can prevent the problem from happening again. We were very pleased with the service we received.

We had an issue with our French drains (annoying) and called for emergency help as the water filled our garage. When JD came he thoroughly look at everything gave us an amount and noticed that we were unsure. He gave us his card so we could talk and decide what we wanted to do. After talking we called back. He came out the next day and got to work. He was super knowledgeable, kind, and willing to conquer the issue! I would recommend Rotor Rooter for sure and I can recommend a person there is would for sure be JD tech 2831!

We had our main sewer clogged and needed someone to fix asap before it led to major repairs, RotoRooter was there to the rescue. They arrived the following day and their technician Giovanni was very prompt and professional. He arrived at the site and was able to diagnose the problem and resolve it in just less than an hr or so. He was very knowledgeable and explained how and what led to the problem and the path to take to resolve the issue. I am very impressed with their service and will definitely recommend it anyone who has plumbing or drain issue and need prompt service.

My tech did his best to clear our drain, and it’s definitely better now. I’m just not a fan of the reeking sewage that was left in huge puddles in my crawl space. Not sure if this in an industry standard practice, but hopefully my basement stops stinking soon.

We had a great experience with Roto-Rooter. Patrick, the service tech, was extremely helpful and knew exactly what the problem was and how to fix it. He answered all of our questions and worked to resolve the problem as quickly as possible. He was very nice and took his time to make sure the job was done correctly! We were very thankful that he came out on such short notice!

Can get an appointment fast. Workers great. Only complaint is the scheduling team. Was told worker would be here at 7am. I called at 8am and was told the person leaves their house at 8am. Service technician did not come until 9:45 Am.

Extraordinarily pleased with my experience with Roto-Rooter. They were able to come out within an hour of my calling, the technician was very good and nice, and their price was about half of what previous plumbing companies that had performed the same service before had charged. This was in the day before Thanksgiving and 3 other companies didn’t even answer their phones.They are also coming out to do a scope of my pipes for free to provide a better picture of the health of my sewer system. The other company I had used in the past wanted to charge close to $1000 for this service.I would highly recommend them!!

All too often, customers only complain about service - rarely to they applaud outstanding service. I'd like to to tell everyone that we absolutely compliment Rotor-Rooter on the service we experience. As an apartment complex owner, we have had to use Rotor-Rooter's service several times over the years. Their response time and professional service talents have always been unbeatable. Most recently, we needed assistance with a clogged drain and contacted Rooter-Rooter. They had a service specialist respond within an hour and the drain was repaired within 30 minutes. The professional service we received from Specialist Bryan Anderson was exemplary. His extensive experience made the difference. We applaud you Rotor-Rooter, you continue to impress us and can count on our business for many years to come.

Technician was unable to open the septic tank lid, tried to run the drain from the wrong septic tank, did not try to run the drain from the shower, that was gurgling and even though he discounted the bill because he could not solve the problem I am disgusted with the RotoRooter service. If Appolo Plumbing cannot solve the problem there is no charge, maybe you should check your competition.

Ben came promptly, and consulted about my concerns and problem. He was excellent in every way-very polite-very concerned and very helpful. He cleared our lines in rapid time, and gave us pointers on how to keep them clear. It was a wonderful experience, and we would have him come to us anytime if we have anymore plumbing issues. Met a plumber from Roto-Rooter named Drew in a Home Depot parking lot and asked him if he could change out the main valve that went bad for my house and also put in a shower valve. He came out the next day and performed very professional & time efficient work. Would highly recommend him on any plumbing projects you may need. Great plumber! Very nice & personable. He went above and beyond for us and we really appreciated his help! Thank you Drew, you rock!

I called them on June 1st for my clogged drain and the service technician Sam came to my house the next day morning. He is very nice and fixed my issue efficiently. He checked everything and cleaned up before he left. He also told me how to maintain the pipe.This is the first time I called a drain service so I do not know whether the price is good or not. But in all the service itself is good and worth five star.

My technician Jacob was prompt (early actually), very explanatory, and thorough. He performed the job for the price quoted, and when he was unable to complete the job due to drain hazards that needed repair he was able to explain why and help with getting an estimator out to give a quote for the repair. I even had an issue with my bank, and he was helpful in working out a solution for that as well. Couldn't give Jacob higher marks for the work he had to do and the professionalism he presented. They need to make this guy a trainer.

Simba came out and inspected our septic system for clogs and ended up needing the tank pumped. He was patient with me as a first time septic system user and explained how a septic system works and the parts involved. Did not mind me watching or helping either. Will definitely call them again if needed.

I called the day before and set up an appointment to unclog my washer water drain.  Moe and his trainee showed up the next day within the window appointment time and did an excellent job unclogging the drain of roots etc. etc. They used multiple snaking tools and also water jetted the drain to insure the roots were washed away.  They then water jetted my sewer line since there were problems there too.  All in all they did a great job and I would use them again.  Thanks Moe and Trainee…

Roto-Rooter was incredibly responsive and helpful with our clogged sewer line. I submitted an online appointment request at 8:00 am and a plumber showed up on time at noon the same day. Giovanni was thorough in his service and fixed the problem. He also offered several options to resolve the problem for the long term, which I appreciated because I was sure what was involved. I would highly recommend them for the rapid response, professionalism, and knowledgeable plumbers.

Mostafa was courteous, on time and efficient. I was shocked at the $499 price tag for a drain snake, but that is probably the going rate and I am not going to give a lower star rating for that. My problem was taken care of, and they did everything right. For everyone complaining about price, if you need a plumber they need to make a livable wage and the company must profit. It’s business 101. You get what you pay for in most instances, and the 6 month guarantee is very nice! Plumbing is expensive because the technicians went through apprenticeships and skilled training to do a job that most of us do not know how to do/have the equipment for. Just because it only takes a small amount of time or “seems easy” for them, it was obviously not something THAT easy because we call them for the expertise! I will now be trying to convince my teenager to become a plumber because they seem to be paid pretty well! 😂

The technician was incredibly kind and professional. He did a great job, made recommendations on how to prevent the issue from reoccurring and even helped me clean up the flooded area after he fixed the clog. He was a godsend.

Gio and Luis came out. Explained their pricing options then put a camera in the sewer line. Located the issue and took care of it. Charged me what they said they would. Clean operation. Less than an hour total.

Roto Rooter provided me an excellent and quick service. My hot water went off in the morning. I called and was scheduled for a visit by technician in 4 hours. Not to mention there was snow storm that time and roads were not good... Still they managed to send the technician who fixed my heater quickly...A little pricey but very dependable service. Worth every penny.

The plumber did a great job. The price, however, was over the top. I regret not saying no and sending him on his way when he told me how much it would cost. I was also disappointed that he arrived an hour later than the service time that I was quoted. The reality did not live up to the marketing. Next time, I will call a different service.

Drew was very professional. He gave us our options and gave us think time. We didn't feel pressure to do anything we weren't comfortable with. The Service line that took our call was very helpful and we were able to have someone out to look at our water heater within the hour.

First of all they missed the window they had the appointment scheduled for. Charged $350 for replacing a simple knob that turns off water to the flush tank. Since it was kind of emergency I had no choice but to go with it. No reasonable options suggested. All super expensive options and not willing to fix anything. Just replace. The person also agreed that the parts cost maybe only $30 but the labor is around $300. It was a simple fix and he did it within 10 mins. That was the labor. Pls try to get inspection done and estimate before going with them.

We were pleased with our technician Jeffe. He is an asset to your company with his dedication to service. He sought out the problem in a timely manner and corrected it. He was a personable, polite young man.We appreciated the companies senior discount and six moths warranty.We would use your services again.

The service was excellent but the cost was outrageous! $499 - $75 off to unclog a kitchen sink is just unreal! I made the schedule for Monday and added a message that said if it doesn't cost more for Sunday, I would like you to come out today so I assume that is not an emergency cost. I should have called around.the comments above

The kitchen sink in my apartment was stopped up and draining very slowly. Dark greasy stuff started coming up from the pipes. My landlord called Roto-Rooter this morning and Moe quickly arrived. He cleaned out the pipes and got my sink back to running perfectly. He was quick, efficient, tidy, and very professional. Great job, Moe!

Hot water tank was leaking all over. Root-Rooter came out and promptly accessed the situation. John #1721, , our technician, went and got all material needed. Fixed with no problem. He cleaned everything up, explained what he did and what to expect. He was great to work with. Would definitely recommend him and would call him again if needed. Very happy with Roto-Rooter

Excellent comprehensive professional. Explained all damage seen and what they checked to make sure the damage was not beyond immediate observation. Worked well with homeowner insurance. Ive used Roter Router before and always been happy with results.

Im my opinion, close to $1000.00 for a garbage disposal replacement is a bit excessive especially in todays climate. Fastest quote I ever shot down. Ben was great and on time though.

1. Very expensive. The tech said he was going to give me a deal by only charging for an hour. That would cost $685 plus tax. Seemed very high but I let them get to work.2. Mis-diagnosed problem. I showed the tech where water was backing up into a shower drain. They located a cleanout and used their high pressure hose and also video'd my sewer. I asked if going through the cleanout would clear the drain in both directions and he said it would.3. Did not check work. Roto-rooter left my house, but the drain was still clogged! I went in to check. Roto-rooter had not checked their work. I used a plunger but could not get the drain to clear.4. Did return to snake my line. I called roto-rooter to tell them that the problem was not solved. To their credit, they sent the same crew back. They used a simple snake through the shower drain in the house and cleared the line in 15 minutes.5. Dishonesty about charges. After returning, tech said he should really be charging me for a second line! Yet this was the exact drain I had identified to them when I called in the first place. Again, the phony message he conveyed was that he was doing me a favor by charging $685 plus tax and not charging me even more because he had to come back.Take aways:1. Way too expensive for a simple drain clearing.2. Use impressive, expensive equipment, but did not solve problem3. Failed to check their work4. Simple equipment fixed problem which I had identified when I called them in the first place.5. Will never use Roto-Rooter again, but rather a locally owned plumber or drain cleaning company.

No one else was able to come out and replace my leaking water heater. The tech (John Miller) showed up less than 2 hours after I made the initial call and had a brand new water heater installed in less than an hour. He was very professional from begining to the end. I recommend giving them a call first. Their price was the same as the first 2 estimates I received on the phone but they were the only one able to come out the same morning. Great Job.

Ben came out to our house to fix our plumbing needs for our downstairs toilet. After talking to him, he had the problem diagnosised and within a certain amount of time, had the problem repaired and fixed. Ben was courteous, professional and extremely helpful and knowledgeable about his profession and any questions I asked him. Would definitely want him to come back for any plumbing needs. Thanks Ben!

We live in an old home and our pipes probably hadn’t been cleared in over 50 years. Sewage began backing up into our tub so we needed to call someone to help ASAP. Our technician, Paul (#1323) saved the day. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and incredibly helpful. He was able to solve all of our problems. We were very pleased with our service and will happily recommend using Roto Rooter to our friends. Thanks again, Paul!

One need to be very careful with Roto-Rooters. If it goes through insurance, they overly charge for the service and if insurance try to negotiate, they will send you the bill for the rest amount. This was despite I asked them to directly work with insurance on pre-approval. Service is very normal, they in my case scrapped many things that shouldn't have been and some damage when removing stuff. They didn't ask me before making those changes. Price point, they are at least 2 to 3 times more expensive.

Very quick and easy to setup an appointment. I made an appointment online and got an email confirmation within an hour. Sam help me fix the kitchen sink. He is very professional and gave me lots of tips to maintain them in longer term.

Technician arrived same day and on time. He explained possible options depending on the degree of the problem. Fortunately he was able to unclog my toilet in a few minutes. The other plumbing company I had contacted said they were booked out for a week.

These guys were AWESOME! We had the pleasure of having Scott come and assess and Brandon do the work for us. We had to have sewer line replaced and they were able to come out the next day after I called. Scott was very nice and let me and watch the camera process. Brandon came, and put in a temporary line so we could use water in our home, he came back the next day, put in all new everything, got us all up and running and did it quickly, he made sure we understood exactly what was going on, cleaned up very well and even put down grass seed for us. He was awesome and we are so grateful for his speedy and quality work! Thank you Brandon and Scott!!

Called Roto-rooted after trying everything possible to clear my clogged kitchen sink. Scott T. showed up on time and was super friendly and knowledgeable. He quickly assessed the situation and went to work, explaining everything he was doing step by step and offering advised on how to help avoid future issues, which I really appreciated. In no time at all, Scott had the clog cleared and everything back together and working great! Scott was very professional and did an awesome job! We had a leaky tub spout that had been spitting out hot water for about two months. I found RotoRooter online through Google and had a professional, Doc, out within two days of my requested appointment. The people on the phone were always so courteous and called to let me know when he was on his way. Doc was great--he told me exactly what the problem was and what it would take to fix it. We did the service immediately and he was so fast! Now we've got a nice quiet tub. Will 100% be using them again for our plumbing needs.

Accepted that the quoted price were too high, and refunded the visit charge to our credit card.T & P valve on the water heater was leaking, and the plumber merely looked at the age of the water heater, said that the inside tank is gone bad and told us to replace it, estimated cost $2500+ tax, When requested for valve only replacement, the cost was $680 plus $50 for the part plus tax. but no warranty on valve replace work. I called the next company and the quote to replace the valve was under $200. The part itself sells for $13 at home depot. The next plumber also told, that if water is not rusty inside tank is fine, and so water heater does not need to be replaced. Please do not work with this company. The visit charge of $69+tax was a waste of money.

Awful service. I called for an emergency service to my sewage sump pump. I did not get the service window promised (4-6pm), then at 830 I had a tech come out. Then the sump pump fix was to use a zip tie to tie the electrical cord away from the float...which had never been an issue for 5 years and I suggested the float be replaced. He never quoted me an hourly rate...$305/hour by the way. He simply said it would be about an hour to fix. He spent 25 minutes of that hour in his car. So I got no replacement float or pump or anything and big surprise, it failed the very next day. I called, but I was told there was no warranty on the service and I could go for the quoted $1,800 new pump install. I hired a qualified plumber who charged $700 for a new pump install.11.13.17 Update: I was contacted by a Roto-Rooter rep who investigated my experience and refunded me for the service performed. I moved star rating from 1 to 3 as the service experienced was still not great but the customer service was actually excellent (including reps I spoke to on the phone when requesting the initial service)

We were delayed in getting our service but understandably we had a snowstorm and it was the Christmas Holiday. Once they got here they were awesome. Cleared our clogged drain and recommended a product for preventive care. Thank you!!

The tech was great in diagnosing our issue. He fixed everything and we are good to go! Having only one bathroom we needed the fix asap and they delivered the same day.

We were notified of their arrival exactly 30 minutes prior. They were punctual and efficient. Alex clearly explained all of the possible outcomes and charges ahead of time. He was courteous and helpful. Also importantly, we were able to make the appointment the day after we called. We were happy with the service.

I had a bad drain blockage and the first guy did not completely fix the problem, but Roto Rooter stood behind their warranty and the second guy - Farhad - did a fantastic job. I was pretty upset when he arrived but he was so nice and so thorough, and gave me great advice for preventative maintenance. I also really appreciated their responsiveness - for both calls someone was there within two hours.

Overall they were very responsive and caring. We had a pipe break inside our walls they had someone our same day and they were able to isolate the area of the leak and fix it by the next day. They helped us with beginning an insurance claim and offered options for mitigation. Very caring in a stressful time.

I can't say enough great things about this company! We needed to have a plumber come out last minute to fix some pipes and valves for our bathrooms and we had Drew come out and he was wonderful. He not only fixed our problem but also explained the steps which we really appreciate. Drew also wasn't able to come to our house until about 6pm and with a long project in front of him, he was still very friendly and happy to get the job done correctly. He was at our house until about 10pm and never once rushed through something since it was late. He made sure everything was done correctly; even if that did mean a long night and 2 different trips to get parts. I would 100% recommend using them and ask for Drew if you can!

The staffs were nice and smooth but the quote was unreasonably expensive. I got $1,100 quote for a simple garbage disposal replacement and $500 for drain clean up. The contractor I got online got the same job done well under $200. There's no clogged drain to clean unlike what the plumbers claimed. I ran the dishwasher (connected to the drain they said needs professional cleanup) for several hours to make sure the drain is ok. I'm a small Asian female with poor mechanical skillsets, but I know the ballpark numbers! I bet they don't try to charge this ridiculous amount to their regular customer base.

We had an issue with our plumbing not draining properly at the end of November. It took several days (into December!) to resolve the issue, including digging up part of our yard. They also never showed up in the given time frame, which is frustrating.The first plumber didn't actually fix the issue, so it recurred ~1 month later. Today they gave me a window of 10 am - 2 pm and still have not arrived and it's almost 10 pm. They basically have wasted my entire day multiple times by giving inaccurate time estimates and not resolving the issue when they finally show up.It is unreasonable to expect a customer to not be upset with this appalling service. Use a local plumber if you can. These guys will charge a lot, not actually fix the issue, and take forever to show up—never within the given time frame.Update: I called in to see if we could actually expect the plumber tonight. The rep I spoke to was very rude and short with me and all he could say was he's on his way. I asked him what my recourse was if they didn't show up *again* and he told me I'd have to call back. Frustrating. After waiting 12 hours they can't even call me?Finally the plumber arrived almost 12 hours after the original estimate. He told my husband the dispatch didn't properly relay the issue so he doesn't have the equipment to fix it. So we now have to wait *another* day and we cannot use our water system outside of minimal use until it is fixed. He was really nice and apologetic but wow, this experience has been and continues to be incredibly frustrating.

HEADS UP TO RENTAL PROPERTY OWNERS! IF YOUR TENANT CALLS ROTOROOTER MAKE SURE YOU ARE LISTED AS THE ACCOUNT CONTACT!! I had major problems with the administrative side of this Rotorooter office regarding payment and correspondence with my insurance. The technicians took only my tenants info down, which subsequently lead to problems with receiving notification and correspondence about payments due. I called Rotorooter requesting some records of the sewer scope they had done, and only because I called them did I learned that my account was almost 90 days past due because they hadn't received payment from my insurance. Sheri at Rotorooter sent me some email correspondence between her and my insurance, and told me she was following up with them again, but then 4 days later left me a voicemail that my account was being sent to collections if I didn't pay that day. She was incredibly unprofessional and accusatory. I will not ever use their services again.

The first thing I greatly appreciated when I made the call to Roto-Rooter was that they didn't give me a quote just for sending a technician out. Every other plumbing company did. The woman over the phone gave excellent customer service and let me know that I wouldn't be quoted until the technician arrived and knew the problem.Rich was the plumber that came to our home. He was really cool! My sister made jokes with him immediately as he walked through the doors and he joked right back (gotta love a sense of humor)! He quoted us $209 once he realized the problem. Turns out our toilet just needed to be snaked. The freshener that we leave hanging on the inside of the toilet had gotten stuck in the drain, blocking the water from being able to flush smoothly. It took him less than 10 minutes to fix our toilet.Overall we're pleased with the service Roto-Rooter provided. For us it's a simple reminder that even the smallest things like being able to flush a toilet nicely shouldn't be taken for granted. Thank you for coming to our rescue Rich!!!

I ordered Roto-Rooter's service online at around midnight and they sent me Sam at around 9:30 AM. He spent quite a bit of time unclogging line and replaced piping under kitchen sink as well as garbage disposal. Price was very reasonable and job was done well! The plumber who came out was nice and knowledgeable. And he didn't make me feel bad that after I got his assessment I did not have him do the work, just got billed the $69 for the call like the operator said I would. The only reason I didn't have him do the work is we're a condo and for what needed to get done I needed other owners to agree first.

I had an issue at my home, called Roto-Rooter, and was able to have them come out to fix the issue promptly. The tech they sent was knowledgeable and helped explain all the work being done. The price was fair and I would recommend these guys again. They were professional and got the job done right the first time.

The technician arrived when he said he would, and was able to unclog our pipes for us. He did a great job in double checking his work and was very knowledgeable. He was able to do his job in less than an hour and our drains were working perfectly. My only complaint would be the price... which I felt was a bit overpriced. However, we were desperate to unclog the pipes because we needed to have access to the kitchen sink. Other than that, great experience! Shout out to our technician Pejman Arjomandi, great job!

They were able to come out within a couple of hours of the original call. However, we ended up with no drains, which means no showers, no toilets, no sinks from Friday until Tuesday. That said, we now have a new pipe and working drains. It was disappointing to have the work take days.

Had a great experience for a crappy situation with Giovanni. He came right out and fixed our leak. Only took a few minutes and he was able to clean it out and replace the defective part. He was very friendly, explained the process in detail, was upfront with the cost, accepted credit card payment, and wrote out the details on the invoice so that I could send the bill to the builder that caused the problem. Couldn't ask for more! Will definitely give them a call in the future in case of any further problems.

I had a faucet that leaked. I called Roto-Rooter hoping it would cost a arm and leg to get repaired. The lady who answered the phone was friendly and sent an email reminder of the time of when to expect the plumber. My repair man had become available hours before he was expected so the office gave me a call to see if he could come early, I said YES! When Rick and Chris arrived they were friendly fast and courteous. My home is over a hundred years old and Rick was very knowledgeable about older homes with original plumbing. It seamed like the guys had just begun when they announced they were finished. The cost was fair especially with the 50.00 off coupon I found on their site. The experience was just fine, the plumber knew what to do, he did it efficiently and effectively. I was charged $500 for him to use a 12v screwdriver with a snake attachment to pull gunk out of a pipe 3 feet long. The service was great, the cost was very excessive.

Giovanni showed up semi-earlier than the scheduled time which was great. We were both surprised at how long the job took however he stated he wouldn't leave without the job being resolved. My family and I definitely appreciated the fact that there was not a weekend job charge.Gio definitely got to the bottom off the job and made sure I was completely aware of what the issue was and the possible future maintenance that would be required (sewage pipe replacement).

We called Roto Rooter due to backed up sewage into our bathtub and, after the initial plumbing snake work found no clogs, the resulting camera inspection showed sludge in our main sewage line. After that, sewer solutions specialist Layne Basom proceeded to act like a corrupt used car salesman. He told us he saw roots blocking the pipe between our home and the street and recommended that we should at the very least install an external sewer cleanout access point just outside our home. He quoted us a $6,000 price to install this. Layne also told us he found roots in our system and recommended that we do 3 hole blowout, which is basically replacing all the pipes from our house to the city sewer line under the street. He quoted us $20,000 for that and pushed financing options. I asked Layne if Roto Rooter could do a hydro-jet cleanout of our system via the accessible pipes in our crawl space. He said no, that it would flood the crawl space. My gut told me to get a second opinion and so I called a local plumber who came and did the camera inspection. He also found a sludge clog in the system and proceeded to do a hydro jet cleanout of the main line under our house which cleared the sludge and cleaned the system. This plumber showed me the video through the entire line to the street and demonstrated there were absolutely no roots in our pipes. When I asked for it, this plumber also provided a quote for installing an external cleanout access point and it came to $1300, almost $5000 less than that quoted by Roto Rooter. So for $1000 with the local plumber we solved the problem and I established a relationship with a plumbing expert who is committed to providing an ethical model of business by informing us of all of our options and being truthful and transparent throughout the process.Sadly, this was not the case with Roto Rooter and Layne Basom. Here are the ways Roto Rooter and Layne violated the ethics of good business:-Lied about roots in our system to pressure us to spend money where there was no need.-Pressured us to place $3000 down on the spot as a deposit to get the job done ASAP.-Lied about the hydro jet cleanout flooding of the crawl space. There was no flooding that resulted when the local plumber performed that job.-Quoted an extremely jacked up price for a service that could have been done for much less and actually was not needed.-Knowing that we, as homeowners, know very little about plumbing and sewage issues, Layne proceeded to pressure us into spending thousands of dollars by building a worse case fear within us and not go over the many options actually available to us to remedy the situation.As homeowners deal with plumbing issues that are an immediate need, I feel strongly that these consumers should be warned to be wary of Roto Rooter and their specialists like Layne Basom. Roto Rooter has proven to be a business which takes advantage of the homeowners’ vulnerability and lack of knowledge to fool them into spending large amounts of unnecessary dollars in a reaction of fear and desperation instead of in the comfort of knowing that the business is taking care of them with their best interests in mind.

Kenny was great. Very professional and explained why and what he was doing. My storm drain was not draining, so he hydro-jetted it out, and rec'd about a 40-50% clearance...he thinks there is a break somewhere in the drain that will need to be fixed in the future to have the drain completely functioning, but that can wait for a little while. Very pleased with his thoroughness and honesty.

They said they would arrive between 9am-1pm. They continued to call saying they were delayed. Then updates stopped. Repair man (who was great, very friendly and fixed the issue) finally showed up at 6:15pm. Unacceptable

I had to install a new hot water heater. nn The service man named William and Amen showed up and did the superb job.I installed the water heater the other day, but had some more issues so I called the plumber (William). I called the general number and received prompt service from an actual human. I was pleased that someone answered the phone and was able to help me get service set up for the same day. The technician arrived promptly, and communication with the office and servicer was very spot on. They fixed the issue and clearly explained the problem and what caused it. Steve came to our home to help solve a blocked drain pipe issue. Within 15 minutes he had unclogged the pipe and, using his sewer camera, made sure all our toilet and shower drains were clear. He was very professional and caring. We are extremely pleased with our Roto-Rooter experience.

Gio came and and he was phenomenal. I was in a hurry to leave the house so he acted super quick, talked me through exactly what he was doing and why, and then showed me the problem. He solved the problem and provide recommendations for moving forward with more long term fixes. Gio was the best, will be requesting him specifically if I need Roto Rooter again.

Our service from RotoRooter was rather protracted. First, a guy came out within a couple of hours of my call on a Saturday evening. Great! He was not able to ascertain why nothing in our bathrooms was draining, so he recommended having a guy come in with a camera snake. He called it in and told us the camera guy would be there between 8 and noon on Sunday. Great! The guy didn't show up until about 2:30 and I'm not going to ding him for that because I'm sure there's a pretty small crew working on Sundays. He found that our sewer line was totally clogged and recommended having it flushed out. Great! Monday I called to set it up and the soonest someone could come out was Wednesday. Not so great...especially since we'd been left with instructions to minimize water usage. No dish washing, no laundry, very short showers and drought rules for flushing the toilet. It was a pretty uncomfortable way to live and I wish we had been given a higher priority. However, the guy who flushed our line showed up during the window of time and did a great job. I'd give the whole experience 5 stars if it weren't for that wait.

Our problem was just a backed up sink, but it was beyond my skills. We called in around 1pm, and amazingly were fixed up before 3pm. Of course I wouldn’t necessarily expect such quick turnaround, but it was really great to have it taken care of same day. Our plumber was informative and did a great job.

Gio of Roto-Rooter performed the services. He was professional and detailed. He inspected the drain and explained the scoping findings and showed me the video. Gio also cleaned the drain and removed lots of roots from the sewer line and provided me with the video.

However, we had to reschedule thrice as the first 2 times the plumber assigned was busy with other orders and told us after the visiting time window was over. Also, they are a bit pricey.

I had amazing service from Roto Rooter in Kenmore, WA today. I called for an appointment to have roots cut out of our sewer line just before noon. Minutes after getting off the phone, our technician, Florin Regus, called to say he was already on his way.Less than 30 minutes later he'd set up his equipment and was already cleaning the sewer line. He did an excellent job and was fun to talk to. He knew a couple people I knew and was very pleasant. I've had this done a few times (or more) and Florin was perhaps the best yet, super efficient and a great person, with fantastic service. In no time he was done, honored the coupon from the RR website, and was on his way. I If there was six stars I'd give him an even higher rating!

Roto-Rooter is great. Our technician (James or Jamie) cleaned our sewer within 20 minutes. He had to bring in a large mobile unit and lug in back up a steep incline. He worked very hard but had a great attitude! He also gave us good advice on how to maintain our sewer. Greatly appreciate Roto-Rooter as always

We had an issue with our kitchen water line, mainly the connector and called roto-rooter to help. Tim arrived in the time frame given and was very informative and professional while being professional. The job was done fairly quickly, and I can now use my kitchen faucet! Highly reccomend.

These guys were FAST to arrive and the first guy got to my house within 2 hours of the phone call for help. The first plumber could not fix the issue and they sent in reinforcements. Florin came and had the issue resolved in 30 minutes. I only paid the one flat rate, so for me this was a good deal because between the two plumbers, they were here for 3+ hours.

Roto-rooter was the only plumber in the city who was able to send someone out same-day. The technician, Chhaylee, arrived right on time, and spent some time explaining what was wrong and why our basement was flooding. He was very patient and good natured, and answered all of our questions. He worked quickly, was very communicative, and cleaned everything up when he left. Would definitely recommend him in the future! The service was a little expensive, but otherwise we are satisfied with our experience.

I was blown away with the quick response to our plumbing emergency, everything was explained in detail to me before work was done. Aman found the source of the leak very quickly and repaired it the right way, this was worth every penny!

They didn't come on time, I had an appointment 10/13/2021 time spot between 12:00-4:00 PM and they called me informing that my spot will be between 5:00-6:00 and no one shown up or called. I called them back and they promised to come next day. the expert came the other day and did what he has to do, then after he left I noticed there is a leak from one of the connection points, I immediately called them, and they informed me that they have open time only Monday 10/18/2021, so in total they delayed my project 5 days which money loose for me.I will never have business with them again

Few things are worse than discovering that your hot water heating is failing. I'm impressed that Roto-Rooter was able to send Tim out the same day. Tim was able to fix the leak quickly and gave me some good advice about the water heater. He definitely knows what he's talking about. The service isn't cheap, but you usually get what you pay for, so I'm happy.

I am the property manager of the building I live in and let me tell you, plumbing problems lately have been on the rise. 3 problems in 2 weeks to be exact. Eli, our service tech was rad. Explained all he needed from me and all that he would be doing and how much it costs. He was very straight up and didn't mess around. A main drain line was leaking in the apt above mine and he made the best choice and didn't cut into my ceiling in my hallway and bathroom but just a small square in the closet that was right above the leak. He got all the work done in a timely manner and gave me the best deal. Minimal demo to get to the problem and he handled it no problem. When what should have been a simple do-it-yourself job turned up beyond my capabilities after checking several nearby firms, I called Roto-Rooter. I was pleasantly surprised when I was told that someone would be available within just a few hours. Plus I was told that I would receive a cost estimate, and if I did not decide on Roto-Rooter there would be no charge. The repair person (whose name cannot recall nor can I decipher his name on the receipt) arrived within two hours of our call. In order for him to fix the problem it was necessary to move furniture, cut a hole in a wall, replace the faucet, install a panel to cover the wall hole, and check to make sure everything was working properly with no leaks.Without the prompt service we would have been without water. So getting the repair underway within three hours of my call was great.

Patrick Chernut (4947) scoped the repair and gave me options and an estimate. Jose Ramirez and Brandon did the excavation and put in the sewer liner. They were all *excellent* - very thorough in planning the work - quick and efficient doing the work and cleaning up the site afterwards. I expected a 3 day job but they were done by midday on day 2 :^) Very happy with the work and I will recommend the company to my neighbors !

The business is hiding the cost. Behind the close door its very expensive but they do not want you to know it upfront. No professional estimate as they promised. No extra part for toilet repair - ending up solving my secondary problem not the main one why I called them. Never will use them again

I called Rotorooter because I had completely plugged drains. The service said that they could be at my house in about 3 hours. However, I got a call back and a was told a service man could be there within the hour, I was thrilled. Carlos Martinez was the service technician, he was knowledgeable, polite and got right to work. I have no complaints about the service I received.

The service itself was fine - 15 minutes of snake work for a slow drain (hence the two stars). It was the INCREDIBLY HIGH, UNDISCLOSED FLAT FEE STRUCTURE that knocked off 3 stars. Honestly? It's exorbitant prices like these that give plumbers a bad name.I was not quoted a price until the service man got there. Once he did, he quoted me $469 without tax. He didn't make it clear that this service included some sort of treatment until I balked at the cost. He then showed me that, without the treatment, the cost would be just over $400, but he would give me an online coupon for $50 off. Because I needed to get the work done then (so my house guests wouldn't be standing in 6 inches of water while they shower), I ended up paying just under $400 with tax. Bear in mind that this still is about double the normal cost of a drain snaking according to other sites (which I wish I had checked *before* I contacted these folks).I wish I had done more research before going to this chain. I made the silly mistake of thinking they would be reasonably priced *because* they are a chain. I was wrong.

Sam came out today to give an estimate and was incredibly kind, polite, professional, and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend him and this company. They kept me updated as to when they would arrive. Sam was right on time. He explained everything and his service was excellent.

I couldn't believe it! My kitchen sink sprung a leak late in the evening.They were out here in 15 minutes and it was 10:00PM!The plumber was so knowlegable and had it fixed in no time. Roto Rooter was able to come out and fix our laundry line blockage the next day (a Sunday, no less), and were even able to arrive earlier than originally scheduled. The work was done quickly and professionally.However, the cost was nearly double what I anticipated. Since we didn't get a quote over the phone prior to the technician arriving, I felt stuck paying whatever the technician put on the bill, or be stuck waiting for another day or two.

Just had an excellent experience resolving a crappy problem! Our grocery store's main drain line got plugged causing toilets not to flush and sewer water to back up in floor drains - not a good situation. We called Roto Rooter and they said they could have a technician out within 2 hours. The tech (Rich) actually arrived in just over 1 hour and got right to work assessing the problem, and got it fixed quickly despite some challenges. He was friendly, courteous and professional. The bill wasn't even too bad. I'd call it a good value for the speedy relief of a stressful situation.

John provided same day EXCELLENT service when the other company I had scheduled cancelled on me for the second time. He was very fast and efficient with the repair. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend them to anyone looking for plumbing services.

After an extremely unfortunate experience with a defective sewer line resulting in sewage backing into the house through the main floor toilet. - Roto-Rooter saved the day. They were on site within 4 hours of the incident. The technician was friendly, helpful, hard working and knowledgeable. Given that, they probably are not the cheapest service; however, there are times when responsiveness is a lot more important. Thumbs up!

We are in Milton.It was Sunday July 31, 2016 about 2 Pm. My outside frost free faucet was leaking. I got the replacement parts and tried remove the old faucet. All I did was bend the copper pipe attached to it and make it leak. I thought great I am have to call a plumber and it'll cost me double or wait till Monday.I remembered Rotor Rooter, who had done excellent work at our house a few years earlier. Called them, to my surprise they'll be there within a couple hours and no there is no extra charge.There were here before two hours. Quoted a very reasonable price. Plumber, Aman and his trainer helper were great. They had to cut pipes, weld pieces together and put a new faucet in no time at all.They did a fantastic job. I would recommend Aman and Rotor Rooter for anyone.

Service was on time. The job was done clean and efficient. All parts replacement as needed. We got our senior discount. We thought it was a little expensive. We may need some minor adjustments. We hear dripping in the tank and a flushing sound all day long, it could be the flapper. We like your 6 month warranty.

it was absolutely terrible the driver did not want to be there, totally disinterested in our issue spent the whole time writing up an estimate for service that was so over priced it was unbelievable, felt totally ripped off... still wrote a check for $69 for him coming out and then he had the nerve to say that we needed to write him another check and include tax for doing absolutely nothing.. total of five minutes. I will NEVER EVER recommend Roto-Rooter to any of my neighbors, friend or colleagues as a matter of fact I intend to go on line to Yelp and other review sites to warm other from using the service...what a disgrace you should be ashamed of yourself.

I am extremely satisfied with Marcus at Roto-Rooter.Called yesterday to schedule an appointment.Received an appointment confirmation minutes after my initial call.Received a call 30-45 minutes before the appointment confirming that Marcus was on the way.On time appointment. Within 15 minutes we understood the where and why of our water leak.Marcus presented all options-Our selected option resulted in the need for Marcus to acquire a replacement product and parts before his same day return visit.His same day return resulted in replaced product with 3 year warranty and successful repair and it was completed all in about 3 hours.Excellent service.Thanks to Marcus and all involved at Roto-Rooter.

We had drainage issues with a toilet in our home on a Monday night and were able to book an appointment online for the following morning. Although the plumber arrived appx. 30 mins late, the manager of this location called me twice to apologize and keep me updated on timing. Once Ping arrived, his service was phenomenal. He found the cause of the problem immediately and was very knowledgeable overall. He explained what he was doing to fix the issue and ensured I completely understood the procedures and pricing before moving forward. Would use this service again and recommend to others!

The service techs responded very quickly to my call and were nice and informative.However, after running their blade line down our sewer drain, they scoped it just to recommend another service - water jetting of the line. The water-jet service tech recommended just requesting their service next time as it would have saved me $500.

We have an old leaky pipe going to our washing machine, but we didn’t want to do anything drastic since we are remodeling the area in the next couple weeks. Turns out there was still a leak the next day, so they came back again and a different technician helped us with the same issue. The management team was very considerate in that the testing was not fully completed to ensure the root cause analysis of the problem in the first place was solved, so they gave us an adjustment on our service and free camera inspection as well as guarantee. Weekend warrior job gone bad. Was installing a new kitchen faucet and tweaked the cold water line, causing it to leak. Shannon with Roto answered the phone, took my info. and told me someone would be out in a few hours. She called a bit later to let me know that he was running late but would still be there. That was appreciated. Marin showed up a few moments later. Very professional, explained what he thought was wrong, gave me an estimate, and got right to work. I asked him if he could replace the other supply valve and he did. Best of all: the job came in several hundred below the estimate. Much, much thanks.

Needed a faucet repair. The scheduler and dispatcher were both helpful & friendly, and were able to schedule an appointment during the time I had available. We woke up this morning to a burst pipe and water spraying out of the ceiling. In a panic we called several local plumbers who all told us they couldn't get us in for days, weeks, or months. I googled Same Day plumbing services and Roto-Rooter popped up. I had no idea they even offered these services!Within a few hours John came out to our home. He was quick, kind, and efficient. He found the problem and fixed it right away, even having to go to a store and find specific materials he didn't have on hand.We are supremely happy with the service we received from Roto-Rooter and would recommend them to anyone!

Our service provider was cool and personable. His work was quick and clean. Customer service dispatch was quick to move on to other customers; we waited three hours for the plumber but missed an unexpected call from dispatch, which meant waiting another day before another plumber was available.

Mike showed up exactly when I was told he would arrive. He was warm, friendly and professional. He explained what he thought the problem was, how he would resolve it and exactly how much it would cost. I had a clogged kitchen drain that did not get fixed with 3 days worth of attempts. He had the drain unclogged within the hour. He was very thorough in cleaning up after his work was done. I was very pleased with Mike and the job he did! I'm so grateful to have my sink working again!

The Tech called in advance to ensure we didi not have a full septic tank. When ensured that the tank was fine he confirmed the arrival time. After arriving a review of the drain system was performed and the blockage location was determined. The first attempt was with the smaller snake so that we could save some cost but the blockage was tough and in the end the larger snake had to be used. The tech was considerate, always doing booties on work shoes and protecting floor areas. When finished the areas were cleaned. A post service camera visual inspection was scheduled for the next work day. All in all the service was excellent and if needed I would call them again. Thanks!

Had a nightmare of a plumbing issue, but the RotoRooter crew took the time to answer questions and worked in frankly ridiculous conditions to get things fixed. December 22 had a back up in our bathroom plumbing, Roto-Rooter was called and we had an appointment set up for early morning. it seems that this was a very busy week for the plumbing business. Shortly after setting up the appointment we received a call asking if we could have the appointment bumped up! Yeah of course. Erfann was our service technician, he was so polite and very professional and very helpful. He explained what he was doing and why, He was Fantastic. He fixed the problem !!!!!! First-rate service! I was late getting out of a critical appointment, so we were late getting home to meet Sam (our service technician). He wasn't able to get started until 6:00 PM, an hour later than we had scheduled. No complaints from Sam. He patiently listened to my description of our problem, then spent the next hour or more taking care of our two clogged drains. Once he was done, he spent another 15 minutes walking me through what he had done, including having me check the two drains. Then he provided me with a three month supply of a drain maintenance product and showed me how to use it. Before he left he gave me his business card, but not until after he'd written his personal phone number on it and told me to call him that night if we ran into any problems.Sam was very professional and very friendly. He even took the time to explain what he was doing to our 7-year old grandson. Bottom Line -- We could not have asked for a better experience while dealing with an aggravating situation.

3 hours late and a broken pipe later I am not satisfied. I called them out after Lowe's told me that they couldn't install my dishwasher, Roto Rooter told me it would be $500 to install a dishwasher and then charged me $165 for a replacement valve and an elbow joint. Which sounded great until about 3 days later I realized that I had a leak in a new place right where the guy replaced the elbow joint. Needless to say I am not impressed and will not be using their services again.

Roto Rooter plumber Scott Chakos serviced my plumbing problems with my shower and kitchen sink. He was professional, honest and knowledgeable. I will definitely use Roto Rooter again for all my future home plumbing problems.

I will never use their service again. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. THERE SERVICE PEOPLE ARE PAID COMMISSION AND ADD CHARGES WITHOUT NOTICE. They were a no show no call two days in a row. Cost my company over $500.00 in wages and traveling expenses. No apologies or reason other then they had an emergency. Then when we finally got them to our work site technician was not good. Their technician took a smoke break every hour. Then the tech was in his truck for over 2 hours. All of his unproductive time I was charged for at over $300.00 per hour. We wasted over 10 hours of time waiting for the plumber. There was no apologies or means of Roto Rooter justifying the problems or helping me out. Instead they told me that I couldn't be a customer anymore. Really irritating and frustrating. Horrible experience and rude managers.

Wow. Roto-Rooter just wowed me. After calling ANOTHER plumbing company and getting an OUTRAGEOUS quote to do some major work for a clogged mainline, I called Roto-Rooter for a second opinion. SO GLAD I DID! The technician was able to respond within one hour. He listened to what the previous plumber had told me and then began problem solving. Not only was I given an outrageous bid by the previous company, but our Roto-Rooter technician actually diagnosed the issue as NOT a main line issue, but a clog between my kitchen sink and the bathroom. The other company would have charged me $3000-5000 for something that wasn't even the problem! One hour later, and several grand saved, Cliff was on his way out the door. Thank you Cliff! Based on this experience, I will definitely be using this company again!

First night broke there love in my pipe, left it in over night, came back next day to Camara it failed to give any reason y it was clogged then did a short attempt an running their snake through it. Said it was sludge but couldn't do it. Still charged 800 these guys are scammers

I had an appointment with an arrival time between 8-12. Got a call at 11. Said everyone is busy and would call as soon as someone will be coming over. Got a call at 3 something. Said they were on their way and would be arriving in 30 minutes. They never showed up! Huge waste of time waiting around all day for these jokers. I had one day I would be at the property and planned to get this taken care of. Will never consider them for business again.

Our Rotor-Rooter plumber was on time, friendly and knowledgeable. He was able to identify the problem, provide assistance with a preliminary solution as well as two different quotes for additional long term solutions. I particularly like that there was no cost for the visit/inspection itself, vs. other companies who charge for that.

Our situation was far more serious than we had suspected (a broken pipe outside the house) and Ruben kept us informed and stayed until the job was finished and verified that all was well before leaving. Roto Rooter was super responsive to my phone call and request and got someone out there within 2 hours. Giovanni helped me unclog a toilet/shower drain that was clogged. I spent a bunch of time trying to do it myself and so I knew it was a problem.He said it would be a 10 minute job, but it was much more. He struggled for almost an hour, but did not give up. He battled through it and finally got the clog, thank god! He gave me some advice on what to do to fix the overall problem so it doesn’t happen again.He was very up front with the price of it all and it was a flat rate. The only thing is it seemed a little spendy, but he fixed the problem, so I think it was worth it.

Aman was a very capable, friendly, and courteous worker. He explained everything in detail. Even explaining things when he had to fix them because of the nature of our pipes that we have. Great collaborative service. We had a backup due to miss use of the toilet. They were responsive (same day) and committed to finishing the job no matter how long it took. Very thankful for the Seattle Roto-Rooter team! My second time using them and will be coming back.

Scott was on time to unplug the toilet. He brought in a rug and bucket then proceeded to take his shoes off and started asking questions to determine what needed to be done. After visually seeing the problem he went out to the van and got the snake to roto through the debris/clog. Once the toilet flushed again he explained why the pressure was no longer valid with the toilet and thus the clog. Scott determined it was an older model and not as efficient. From this we both came to the conclusion a new toilet with warranty would be appropriate to install.Scott looked at a crack in the shower and determined there was no water build up, there was not a crack in the pipe and he also determined the drain under one of the sinks was no leaking. Scott looked at the upstairs sink and illustrated how to get it to drain better.He advised us he would return today with a new toilet with warranty and showing punctuality and boxes in hand proceeded to replace the new toilet. I called because our kitchen sink clogged right after Thanksgiving dinner and I tried to fix it the next morning. we had dishes piled up everywhere. They said someone would be out within an hour and they were correct. Moe was professional and courteous and explained what he was going to do. He had it unclogged in less than an hour. It wasn't a cheap repair but with the money considering I couldn't fix it and that we needed it done over the Holiday weekend.

Exactly what you don’t want to happen, happened. At 9pm on Thanksgiving night, just after all the dishes were run through the dishwasher (talk about something to be thankful for!), our pipe burst. Water came pouring down through the ceiling lights and wall light switches, and we had a disaster in the making. After turning off the house water, we called Roto Rooter. Thank goodness for 24/7 365 service! A technician named Aman came out on Friday and had the pipe completely removed and replaced within 30 minutes. He was super nice, had great input, and didn’t try to talk us into anything we didn’t need. We’re really happy our water is back on so quickly AND we’ve scheduled a full day on Monday to replace all the pipes in the house (that’s a story for another review). Thank you, Aman, for turning our frowns upside down!

They did a wonderful job helping me fix the water leak in a timely manner. They responded immediately by sending someone within a few hours. helped me find the leak, filed the insurance claim, cleaned up the mess and fixed the leak all smoothly. All team members were very professional. I also learned that plumbing service is very expensive.

Due to heavy rains, I needed underground gutter runoff pipes cleaned. I called that morning and had an appointment that very afternoon. The tech was very professional and very friendly. Steve told me upfront everything he needed to do and what it would cost. He went above and beyond to fix my problem and completed in a timely manner. If needed, I will use them again!

The other night when my kitchen sink clogged my wife called Roto-Rooter. The customer service was awesome and scheduled an appointment right away. The plumber arrived to our house in a timely manner and got right to work. He was very friendly and had outstanding customer service. I had a clogged kitchen drain that's connected to a garbage disposal. Roto rooter was able to get someone out to my house in around 3 hours from the time I called. The plumber was on time, professional and gave me many helpful tips. However, I was charged $520 plus tax for approximately 1.5 hrs of labor and cleanup. l feel like I really overpaid but it's Thanksgiving week and I felt like I had no choice but to pay the ridiculously high price in order to have a functional kitchen in time for the holidays. I was not given an approximate price range over the phone. I was shocked when confronted with the astronomical quote when the plumber was standing there in my kitchen waiting for a decision to go ahead with the work or not. It was either pay out my nose or maybe face not having a working kitchen for Thanksgiving. Not much of a choice. If I had more time I would have refused the service and gotten some other quotes at other plumbing places.

Roto Rooter did a great job tonight on our emergency water leak...in our attic. Very Professional, William diagnosed the problem, came up with a great solution and was very reasonably priced. We had another plumbing company out as well and they couldn’t help us at all and even said we needed a whole house replacement. Thank you William and Roto Rooter for the great customer service, promptness and professionalism!

The one star is based solely on your policy to charge a 1 hour $625 minimum for using the pressure rooter. Turns out after less than 10 minutes it was found that the pipe was only 4 feet long and ended in a dry well. Could have been cleaned out by hand. The technician was helpful, but should have had the ability to modify the charges based on findings.

Paul was at our house within 30 minutes from when I called. He was upfront about all costs and did a thorough job of getting our kitchen sink drain running smoothly. He left the work area clean and was amiable while working in our home.

Awful from beginning to end. Gave me a 1-5pm window and didn’t show up until 7:30–and then only after calling 3 times to ask where they were. Guy showed up without parts, came back the next day and started doing wrk without providing an estimate. When I asked he said it was $330/hour—which is absurd for a plumber—and an undetermined number of hours. He ended up spending 5 hours to fix something that his manager should take 3, at least an hour of which was spent in his van doing god knows what and smoking in the driveway. He eventually gave us a $2200 bill which we negotiated down to $1300. The whole thing was ridiculous.If you're asking why 2 stars and not 1 well here it is... Throughout the ordeal, Roto Rooter's management and customer service teams were great. Super responsive, sympathetic, apologetic, etc. After posting a 1 star review I received a call and they took 50% off the labor cost...bringing the total bill to $850.

When we finally got rotorooter to our house to complete the work, Marin (our plumbing professional) was so helpful. Not only did he do a fabulous job installing our faucets, he taught me alot about how to care for our drains, and how to troubleshoot future plumbing issues. He was friendly and professional. We had both toilets in our house blocked and it was Saturday afternoon. I called Roto - Rooter and Kenny Kim came out and spent 2 hours making things right. He kept me informed the entire time. We discussed costs before he did any work so at the end of the job I was not surprised. He was a professional all along and we now have working toilets. I am very pleased.

In October I hired Roto Rooter to unclog my bathtub, sinks and toilet drains. They quoted me $800.00 to complete project. The service technician completed the job after 4 total hours charged over $1,600.00 I was shocked at these prices! He also left a huge mess but it was at least done. At the time he installed new toilet rings that are now leaking and causing damage to my bathroom floor. I called and they said that it would be full price to send someone out because its been over 6 months. I feel they should repair this damage. At the very least send someone as a courtesy to see what's going on, but they want $70.00 to send someone out. my advice call someone who has better customer service. Dont use Roto Rooter ever!

I received excellent service from Kenny K at Rotor-Rooter. i had a leak under my kitchen sink and he came out at 8:00 pm. The garbage disposal was about 30 years old and he had to spend at least an hour banging on the old one to get it out! He even had the correct replacement in his truck. Even though he under-quoted me originally, he stuck to his estimated quote. He also cleaned out my faucet so it didn't spray all over the sink.I would highly recommend Rotor-Rooter. They are fast, skilled, professional, and very friendly!

I had an excellent experience with Roto-Rooter. Reza arrived within an hour of my call to the Roto-Rooter dispatcher. He was very professional, knowledgeable, efficient, and courteous. He was quick to explain the most likely location and cause of the drain clog. He wasted no time getting the sewer drain cleared and toilet reset. Everything was completely cleaned and looking like there had never been a problem. I would not hesitate to call him again.

I was told on the initial phone call that” it will be $69 for initial evaluation and the technician will give and estimate,if the repair can be done the same day that fee will be waived”. But the technician came in and told me it’s $389 for the repair. he literally tightened 2 screws and charged me $289(saying he gave a discount of $100) I do not recommend this service since they charge you out of proportion to the work that is done and they don’t reveal this information when you schedule an appointment

The worst. First, they rescheduled 3 times (once it was due to snow which is 100% understandable). Second, two days before the 4th appointment (today), they called acting as if they did not know about or understand the service I needed. I felt like the guy was trying to talk me into cancelling because he didn't want to do it. He went from not having ever worked on a home drainage system before to telling me that some piped curtain drain systems have no drains, huh? At this point I had no choice but to cancel. They wasted many hours of my time and set me back a month.

Tommy from roto rooter came and fixed my plumbing after the freeze. Tommy was very professional and did the job quick. I would recommend tommy to do there work from roto rooter anytime.

We had a tooth brush do a swan dive into the toilet just as it had been flushed. What are the odds of that?the The first company we called could not have anyone out for 3 days, not what you call a quick helpful response time. We called Roto Rotor and we had some one out within 4 hours. The technician was very pleasant and professional. he was able to retrieve the rouge tooth brush without removing the toilet. We were very happy and will use and recommend Roto Rotor for any further issues.

Excellent service! I would have given 5 stars but it was expensive. The price was comparable to other services, but still quite a bit of money. The service guy came within 30 minutes of calling. He was quick and efficient! The added camera viewing of the inside of our pipes was amazing. We now know exactly where the roots are invading our lines.

Giovanni arrived on time to unclog my house sewer line. He was here for nearly two hours, almost gave up, but I expressed surprise at the estimate to do what was needed. This included installing an outside clean-out. He stayed with the rooter, and got the clog cleared finally. But the camera shows a break or a hole in the clay pipe outside. I finally agreed to have the proper work done. Giovanni was clean (booties in my living area. When he was done he mopped up the mess and used spray cleaner to get the floor clean. I was more than happy with Gio showing me what the camera had detected, explained everything, answered my questions, very polite fellow.

Their speedy responsiveness was just what I needed in an emergency situation like this!Imagine the horror of coming home to a clogged toilet a mere two hours before your first house party. Please don't waste your time messing around with useless YouTube tutorials like I did. Some clogs really do require a professional with the right equipment.After calling several plumbing companies, I found that Roto-Rooter was the only one that offered services as immediately as I needed them. A technician arrived at my apartment at the beginning of the party and discreetly fixed the clog. I appreciated Simba's calm and professional attitude towards this embarrassing yet admittedly hilarious situation. Simba even offered me tips on how to prevent a clog from happening in the first place, which will more than cover the value of his service.In the end, Roto-Rooter ended up costing me the same amount as any of the other plumbing companies that I'd called. And for the speed and quality of service, it was totally worth the price. They saved my party and my peace of mind!

We have had Gio out to clear our ancient and damaged drain line twice now (a year apart) and he is awesome. He’s polite and efficient and knowledgeable. He was here on a Saturday morning within an hour of our call. Thank you Roto-Rooter!

Will was a great plumber. Got our issue fixed and gave us the recommendations that we would need to keep things working. The only thing that really stinks was the cost. We needed a plumber and could have got one for 1/2 the cost but would have had to wait for a week to get them out. So oh well bite the bullet. Cost is not will's fault though he is doing his job the company needs to redo their cost bracket again.

I will say that they are quick to get out, make a diagnosis, and resolve the issue. I called and got a technician out within 30 minutes.What I am not happy about is the billing. The way it was documented seems shady. They are very expensive compared to the local plumbers...My husband told me over the phone while the tech was present that the work would be $1323 (Labor was $1050) and it would take about 3 hours to complete. They had to replace my garbage disposal, replace some sort of basket strainer, and they moved a plastic pipe even though it was not necessary as it had been that way for the last 16 years. Paper receipt did not specify time, however, when I checked the emailed copy of the receipt, it stated the labor was for 3 hours along with the price, when in fact it was only 1.5 hours. Technically, it would be about $700 per hour. So I am questioning the price because the way it is documented, it seems like it should be less and was based on per hour charges. Had it not been documented that way, I would not have questioned it, but it looks shady. This looks like this was $440 per hour, but it did not take 3 hours. I was told their prices were set and not based on hour. I left a message for Ms. Swanson after her phone went straight to voicemail. Please check out the receipt.

Not only were they able to dispatch the day I called, but when the plumber was delayed at a previous job they called to adjust the time. When Chad (the plumber) arrived, he quickly got to work on our home gutter drainage system that was blocked somewhere underground. He worked until dark doing a thorough job and the best part... He was hysterical! It would be easy to be matter-of-fact with the job that was at hand. His sense of humor was well needed and much appreciated. I was grateful for their ability to come when needed and free of charge with an upfront estimate of what it would cost. The price was fair for the work that was needed, and Chad left with the problem resolved!

Our technician was great. He was able to not only clear out the driveway pipe but found out that one of our drain lines was broken. He allowed us to take pictures of camera viewer and we found the obstruction, he also wrote up a report for us to use for our claim with home insurance as our broken pipe caused our entire garage to flood.

I was very happy with Jamie, the serviceman. He was friendly and up front about what he needed to do and how much it would cost. He took care of the situation, and when finished, cleaned up after himself.I appreciated that he was able to come out on the same day as I needed the appointment.

Rotor Rooter provided excellent service. They give you a 4-hr window for your appointment but then give you a call about 30-min before the technician shows. Instead of buying a new disposal, the technician fixed my existing disposal which saved me money! I highly recommend this company.

Drew was a spectacular person to work with. He worked with us to try to find not only the problem, but what the most appropriate steps were needed to fix it. Despite our coming out to being what will be an expensive fix, he did his best to minimize the cost on us for him just doing an assessment. Roto-Rooter was great : Timely, responsive and efficient. We have a leak because of our fridge line. The first plumber Michael came in, did an assessment and suggested a pretty expensive repair but was not pushy on having it done letting me do another quote. I had to call the next day as I realized the water heater was off and was not able to turn it back on. Tahj came and turned the heater back for free. He also looked at the other issue and came back with a more affordable solutions. In both case, they were one time, available, and professional. Cheery on top, wait to get an answer on the phone was less than 5 minutes both times.

$700 for running snake to clear clog in drain - seems a little steep!!! I even helped out a little. Scheduled appointment in 12-4 window. Showed up after 4. Snake spinning caused grease to get on our white vanity. The machine also dripped on the floors leading to the bathroom. Technician offered to clean but I chose to do it myself as I didn't want chemicals sprayed all over the floors and vanity. After the work was completed I mentioned that we haven't verified that there is no longer a leak occurring (due to the clog) but the technician wasn't allowed to enter the crawlspace to make sure everything looked fine. As a result, I had to go down there myself later to make sure everything was OK. Also, the technician also wore gloves while doing the 'dirty work' but didn't take them off when touching door knobs, etc,. The technician was at least professional and the problem is potentially fixed. Overall, not very satisfied with how much additional effort I had to put into everything for the price I paid.

William was our plumber. He was knowledgeable and very professional. We would use him again for our future plumbing needs.

We had Roto Rooter come to help with a backed up sewer pipe. The 1st crew was not sure he could snake the problem and set up an appointment for the next day. My basement had backed up sewage in it . The next morning they sent a crew with a camera. The were able to find roots in the drain pipe and get it cleared. All there agents were very nice and courteous. After paying over $700 I do not understand why they want to charge another $150 just to give me an estimate to repair the piping. Not happy with the high pricing and charging for estimates.pat

The company was very responsive and sent out someone the same night. The person who responded was very conscious of cost and assessed the problem thoroughly before cleaning out the sewer line entirely. We ended up need some more significant work, but I really appreciated that everything was transparent from the start. Really impressed.

I needed someone to come out and fix my sink in the middle of the night when i was not able to reach the management of my complex and also they needed to find someone to come out to Tacoma first, they were there and fixed it. No problems. No complaints that Greg was stuck with the work until midnight and super friendly. I'd call you guys again any time i need help you are awesome!!

Scheduled a 4 hour window, delayed multiple times and then pushed to the next morning. They said I was “priority.” Never received any updates, I had to call to get updated—they ended up coming almost an hour late after the second four hour window, so essentially waited for close to 9.5 hours total…sitting around a house with a busy 10 month old that hates staying at home. They gave me a small discount but still felt they waaaaaay over charged.

Ryan M. is the best!! He showed up and immediately went to work on replacing our incredibly busted kitchen faucet! My mom and I had tried to replace the faucet ourselves but that absolutely was not going to happen. Ryan had to pull out the major machinery to saw off the faucet which was rusted beyond belief. In no time he had the new faucet up and running. Additionally he fixed our garbage disposal which hasn't worked in months! Ryan was very nice, knowledgeable, incredibly cool, personable, helpful and informative! Thanks Roto-Rooter for having such a wonderful employee!! We will definitely be calling this plumbing wizard for all our future plumbing needs!

Was a little challenging getting a representative out to our commercial building for what ended up being a faulty copper pipe. When Marcus did arrive he went above and beyond to ensure the problem would not happen again. Marcus was friendly, efficient, and most of all thorough. I wanted to let Marcus know he was well worth the wait.

Drew did an excellent job installing our toto toilet. He showed up on time and knew exactly what to do. He was in and out in 40 minutes. This job would have taken us days to do. We would highly recommend Drew and Roto-Rooter for your plumbing job.

After a communication hitch, all went well. William arrived, quickly assessed and prioritized the multiple projects and went to work. His truck was well stocked with parts and William efficiently repaired the most urgent issue. Price was high, but I am not familiar with costs for typical same day service.

I called in on 12/27 at with a backed up line from my Kitchen sink. The dispatch said they would have a technician there between noon and 4 pm. At 3:30 - got the call that a technician was on the way. Less than 30 minutes later, Alex showed up and immediately gave me the cost, got to work and in less than an hour, he had the clog gone, did multiple tests for leaks in the drain pipes and made sure to run enough water to assure the blockage was gone. The whole experience was very professional and I would not hesitate to use this service again.

Roto-Rooter's technician named Scott was excellent. Right from the beginning of his visit he showed me how my plumbing worked and told me how to avoid future problems. I highly recommend this service. Whatever you are paying Scott isn't enough.

If there can be a rating for Zero star, I would give them that. I had a leaked toilet and a shower drain back up at the same time. They came and snaked clean out the pipe by opening a hole in the wall to access the pipe instead of removing the toilet to do so. I asked them why and they said once the pipe is cleaned out it will be all good. They proceeded to do the work and charged me $800 for it. The toilet continues to leak after they left and I had to call another company to fix it. It turns out the toilet flange was broken and needs replacement and the section of the pipe between the toilet and where they cleaned out needs to be cleaned out so major $$ to bring in equipment etc. Not only was the work done wrong, the attitude of the employees were not professional. Don't ever hire Roto-Rooter. The other company I got to fix the whole thing was Beacon Plumbing and they did a terrific job. They were very professional: explained the whole problem, what needs to be done, why and cost and had my agreement before they proceed. They even alerted me to print out the coupons from the website to get me a better pricing. They rock. If you have drainage problems, call Beacon Plumbing. Also, they found out the branch pipe from the house to the street sewer cracked in a number of places and needed replacement. They did the whole job including getting city permit and inspection etc all within a couple of days. Terrific guys. The plumber who helped me is Diontea and his apprentice Sam. Very professional, efficient and had my best interest at heart!

We have used other plumbing companies before and were not impressed at all. I was dreading having to deal with a plumber until Roto-Rooter showed up! Oh my gosh! We had Mike and Alex come out on two separate days and both guys were incredible. Our situation was a bit complicated because we had to deal with a landlord. Both guys were very friendly but clear about what happened and what needs to happen to get the problem fixed. Mike showed us what was happening and explained as he went. He was detailed, understanding, knowledgeable and thorough. Thank you. We will definitely be calling Roto-Rooter again for any plumbing issues that arise in the future.

Forrest was on time, quickly identified problem and the sewer line was clear 45 minutes later. Took extra time to thoroughly confirm that clog was removed. Nice manner. If need arises I will use firm again.

Our technician, William, was great. He was personable and definitely knew what he was doing. We have a double vanity with joint drain pipes and it was quite a bit of work to get the snake to go where he wanted it to go but he stuck it out and cleared the clog. Our sinks have never drained this well! He also gave us advice to help prevent this from happening again. Or at least until we can replace the pipes, did I mention they are galvanized steel?He also explained everything he was doing and how everything works, in a language I could understand. I am no plumber so this was helpful for me. He even cleaned up under our sink and all the stuff from in my sink. I'll be asking for him by name if I ever have to call again

Calling Roto-Rooter was the best decision I could have made. They were highly professional from first contact thru the end of the service call. We had a main drain plugged. Gio was at our door within 1.5 hours of the initial call. He was knowledgeable, friendly and courteous. He fixed our problem in an hour. The technology he used to find the plug and give me advice on what should be done long term was fascinating. He was mindful of our home and did a superb job at keeping everything neat and clean.I've had many plumbing companies do work for me in the past and none were as prompt or good as Roto-Rooter and Gio. I will be using these guys for all my plumbing needs from this point on. Kudos to a job well done

Sam was on time, thoughtful, persistent, and educated us about what he was doing and what might be causing our problem ( blocked sewer line). He fixed the problem, at least for now. Excellent service.... but expensive! He was forthright about cost before starting and I suspect that prices here are similar to what others charge. I would definitely call back

Really appreciated the quickness with which the technician responded to my problem. He was thorough and patient and put everything back in as good or better situation as before he started the job. If I ever need more plumbing service (hopefully not) I will certainly use Roto Rooter again.

Our service tech Chhaylee came out on a Sunday afternoon, right before the super bowl! He was super nice and pretty cool in comparison to some other service techs we've had from other industries. Our kitchen sink was backed up and took him 2 hours to fix, but he did it and we are so grateful!

Sarcastic and unempathetic service. Seem to focus on only making money. The phone operator was also curt and declined to give a price range. The technician came and first confirmed my agreement to pay $100 to fix a part of the problem which turned out to be a simple joint tightening. Thankfully he agreed on just the $69 service fee (hence the 2 stars). When I asked him if there was any tear that could leak it again he said I can't give warranty in the $69 service and gave no more information.Quoted another $350 to replace the cartridge of the faucet which is insane! Gave sarcastic remarks when I asked why the cost is so high.

On Sat. July 23 mid-morning we had our drain plugged. Tried plunger with no results. Called root-rooter, said they would have technician out that afternoon. About two hours later dispatcher called and said technician Kenny Kim was on the way, when he arrived he assessed the problem and came up with two options to correct the problem. First didn't work. Then he went to work on option two, after two & half hours of hard work he had the drains working. Mr. Kim was very careful and respectful of our home. We are very happy and thankful for all his knowledge and hard work and if there is ever another problem Roto-Rooter will be the first call. Thank You.

I called at 8:30 on a Saturday morning, the technician was here by 9:30, and he was friendly, efficient and quick. He let me watch to camera go through the pipe so I could see where the roots were growing through, and then he gave me the cost to fix it or do maintenance on it if I didn't want to do the full fix, which is expensive. I went with maintenance, and I'll definitely call Narcis to do that work for me when it's necessary.

I had a plugged up kitchen sink. When the Tech first got to my house and told me house and quoted me the price for the snake I about fell over.. but I had no other options. It ended up taking him a couple hours so in the end I felt like I got my money's worth. Reza my Tech was super nice and worked hard to get my issue resolved. When it cleared I got a 6 month warranty which made it worth the money paid. Even though it took a couple of hours Reza made it easy to deal with.

I had a leaking bathtub faucet which involved replacing the valve and shower/bath fixtures. Due to the design of the building I live in, this required going into the wall (which is far outside of any home repair skills I have) to install the new setup.Sam stopped by and took care of all of this within the time frame he quoted me (6.5 hours). In addition to replacing the known parts, he even replaced some of the other shower pipes that were showing some decent wear and tear.After his great work, I now have a bathtub faucet that doesn't leak and the knowledge that I don't have to worry about the pipes to my shower won't unexpectedly breakdown in the future. I'll definitely give Sam a call again for any other plumbing needs in the future.

I called Roto-Rooter to fix my shower problem. It took 4 visits and 3 1/2 weeks to fix. The plumber was very nice, but the parts just didn't work and it had to be done over. The company made a couple of appointments with me and no one came. I learned later that they lied to me, and no one was supposed to come on those days. Waiting at home for hours is very frustrating!! They also lied about calling me and leaving messages for me. This was a really frustrating experience and I would not do it again!

Marcus was super polite and nice! Handled my problem very quickly and seemed super knowledgeable! A little pricey but most places are out where I live. Thank you, Marcus!

The technician was excellent and did everything he could to solve the problem. The company was able to schedule a same day call and customer service was very good. The reason I am giving 3 stars is the exorbitant pricing. I get the initial cost being high; but $1,200 for 2 hours is outrageous.

And within 1 hr, Marin showed up and fixed my problem after a quick check, within a minute! since my was not a really plumbing issue, Marin did not charge me for the service. Thank you!

Very expensive and without notice beforehand.I was trying to do a remodel for both my kitchen faucet and bathroom shower, so I made one appt for all of those.I asked a question to the tech about why the faucet cannot persistence providing water. Then the tech answered:There is a sensor there. Okay, then we moved on to the shower.When I saw the bill, they are trying to charge $110 for the question, only for one question!!!!$110 for only 1 question!!!!It is not to say I did not order any service(I asked the tech to repair my shower, that cost 420 in total, I agree with that), but considering I already ordered the service, $110 more is unreasonable.I don't know what you guys think, if you do agree one question is worth $110, you can ignore my rate and comment. My apologize in advance if that is the market price, $110 for 1 question, but for now, let's do 1 star.

I had a Sewage backup event in my home on 11/3. The same day service was prompt and professional. A little pricey - $700 - to snake out one drain and test to make sure the blockage was clear. Expensive for sure, but what else are you going to do when there is 1 inch of raw sewage in your basement? Things have really fallen apart since the original tech left our home. Almost 2-weeks later and the camera tech has not yet contacted us to finish the work I've paid for, which is now holding up our insurance claim for restoration. I have made at least half a dozen calls to the organization and each time I have been told that I would be contacted shortly. I haven't received a single phone call. Professional clean up, lack of follow through. Next time I might be better off with ServPro...

Jesse who was the technician (ID 2101) was just amazing. Resolved the situation which was NOT good . . upfront about the costs and really want to thank him. This was very stressful for me (homeowner) and I can't thank him enough for his perseverance and all he did to fix a bad plumbing clogged back up toilet (won't go into total details) but not a pleasant job. Would highly recommend this company.

The technician, JD, was courteous, informative, capable and did a good job of jetting out our downspout drain that was plugged. He shared all his work with us, and did the best he could with our 70 year old drauns.Sadly, it took 3 days for the company to honor an appointment, with multiple re-scheduling (i.e., cancellation). A litle more homesty about scheduling would have allowed us to carry on with our other challenges.But loved JD!

Main sewer line backup of old (1926) house--common problem. Was impressed with the expediency & professionalism of Roto-Rooter--they took care of everything. First, the plumber snaked the line to get everything back and running and water draining--he stuck around for a few hours solving the issue (took the toilet off to snake that line even though it was likely the main stack, etc). He got the water mitigation salesman (Mark) to come out right away, who was very professional and thorough--his team then came and did the water mitigation as best they could--removed the carpet, drywall, etc. He also set me up with a very competent general contractor to do the repair work!

They where quick to show up for the quote and started work the next day on my gas line extension. The quote went up 200 and I didn't receive any itemized list of materials used. 1100 for moving a gas line 12 feet in a crawl space with no obstructions. Further more the next day I went to take a shower and the water was cold. When I checked the gas water heater I noticed that the entire wall was leaking water through it. I went into the crawl space and saw the nipple to the cold water was broken in the same space that they were working. Not really difficult to add this up. If you hire them make sure that all pipes and valves in the area that they are working are not damaged before they leave. This cost me my entire Saturday because the nipple broke off in the threads requiring 2 trips to lowes and about 100 dollars in parts and tools to fix. Also ask about the materials used before had and how much they are going to purchase. Talking with them before hand they said that they have to purchase the gas line by the roll. The rolls are 50 feet of pipe and cost about 200 dollars or so. If they bought 50 feet of material and used no more than 20 what happens to the rest? Sounds very interesting right. I didn't receive the rest of the unused piping or didn't receive any discount for the pipe they didn't use. Scam? Well make sure to ask questions and don't trust the work they do. Validate.

We had a middle of the night plumbing issue... Everything backed up into our two showers.We called Roto-Rooter and within two hours we had someone out to snake our drains and make us aware of a tree root problem in our plumbing line.They were fast, courteous, and patiently explained everything!

We had a plumbing problem that occurred in the later evening, not an emergency though... I went to their website and completed the schedule service for the next morning. I received a call at 7AM and had Giovanni at my house before 8AM, Gio did an very thorough job explaining procedures and costs, he was patient with my many questions and was a great help.

I had two plumbing issues. I would have normally tried to fx these issue myself, however I was recovering from surgery. I got online and scheduled An appointment and The Rotorooter dispatcher called me in about 30 minutes indicating that their service person would be arriving soon.The Serviceperson showed up and was very professional in outlining the costs, including the discounts for us haven't he 2 issue to resolve.The professionalism was great in every respect. Normally we had used a plumbing service in the past that was not as prompt, nor responsive.I will definitely use this company again in the future.

We had Roto-Rooter come out to unclog our gutter downspout drain in the ground, the tech (Rich) arrived and got right to work assessing the problem, and got it fixed quickly. The water jet tool worked perfectly, Rich was friendly, courteous and professional.

I normally don't use a plumbing service unless I come upon a problem I just can't fix. I called Roto-Rooter and my overall experience was very good. Patrick, the Service Technician, was on time, very friendly and professional. We did have some challenges but Patrick dealt with the challenge and fixed our drainage problem. Again, I was very pleased using Roto-Rooter and if need be will use them again.

Marin came to my house today to help with some plumbing issues. We had a sewer backup and our insurance fixed our floor but the flooring guys didn't replace our toilet, two sinks, washer / dryer, or other appliances. Marin came over and did an excellent job. He had a great sense of humor, he took great care in my house, and did thorough work that he showed me along the way. One example was a place where he did some extra work for sealing. He told me that it wasn't required but that since they have warranties on their work that he wanted to make sure it was done well. In addition to helping replace those items, Marin even helped me move a cabinet and a chest freezer that the floor people didn't put back. He went above and beyond. I am going to call him back for some work in my other bathroom.

Way over priced. For a minor shower repair they charged us for an hour and a half of labor at $320.00 and hour and $31.50 for a part I have since priced at Home Depot for $15.00. The total bill including WA sales tax was $558.05-thankfully i was able to use a coupon for $40.00 off.The Plumber was professional and nice, but he literally spent less then a half hour working on the issue and the rest driving to the parts store. They charged me 487.00 for 30 min just to snake are kitchen sink.I question if their was a exchange because it was Sunday asked if there were any discounts was told no on both accounts. I live in Seattle and I am going to get Jessie from channel 7 news to look into 30 min of work for 500 dollars and my husband is retired military shame on you Roto Rooter

I'm quite unhappy with the service I received. I had Roto rooter clear my sewer line a couple months ago - at the time I was told that there was a guarantee if something else were to happen. Well a month later I had a similar situation. A couple other contractors who visited told me to contact roto rooter again because they should look at it for free since they were out so recently. Well the fellow came out, confirmed what I had already suspected without doing any actual work and then insisted on putting a camera in for no reason only to state that he would normally charge $500 for this service but would give me a deal because he didn't actual give me any price estimate or quote. So in the end I paid almost $300 for something that another company said they could do essentially for free. I contacted the local store and the national folks with no response. All around very dissatisfied with this company their fraudulent grantee.

They gave me a 4 hour window that they would show up on. They didn't make it in the timeframe. I don't want to do business with a company that can't plan something in a 4h windows. I would expect a time and stick with it. When I made the original appointment I asked about price because I figured they had standard rates. On the phone they told me they do not have access to pricing. When the guy shows up he says it's $599 and $150 an hour on top of that. If I knew this I would have never waited around for 4h. All I needed was an underground drains spout cleaned out. That price is incredibly high and just a joke. I'm curious why this place has such high reviews. If I was you I would keep an eye out for fake reviews.

My recent experience with home repairs has not been good. So imagine my delight when not one, but two of RotoRooter service calls last week brought competent, friendly, polite plumbers to my door. The first day, Pejman arrived to clear out a kitchen drain that my partner and I had tried for months to unclog. He was professional and helpful in the extreme, leaving me with a supply of enzymes to use and advice re small wire mesh drain plugs that I have bought and found to be wonderfully useful in preventing bad stuff going down my drains! Pejman connected me to Sergei for help the next day after discovering a more serious leak. Sergei arrived on schedule and tackled a very difficult job with ingenuity. He worked diligently to replace a faulty pipe and improve the outflow, all though a small opening behind the kitchen sink! He cleaned up the area better than anyone else saying how much he loved his work since it helped people. I would heartily recommend RotoRooter to anyone who needs some experienced and efficient folks to diagnose a problem and perform the repair. Pejman then called back the next day to make sure all was well. INCREDIBLE!!!

We have had this same leaking copper pipe before, and Roto-Rooter's Technicians, Mike Oliver and Paul not only repaired the leaking pipe for us but also gave an outstanding explanation of why it happened, if it could happen again, long term consequences, cost comparisons, and even drew a picture of the plumbing in the house to explain it to me! We have had plumbing issues before (in different parts of our house) and we have always used Roto-Rooter for service and been completely happy with the results. Mike and Paul are true assets to your company and I would recommend them to any of my friends and family!

We had our water heater leaking just two days before I had scheduled it to be replaced with a tankless. Anyhow, due to the leak, I thought of getting a professional to make sure we can wait until then. Marion arrived on the site and did a quick check on that, provided with an estimate for replacing our water heater.

I called them at 9:30am due to a issue with my hot water heater. They arrived within an hour and then went out of the way to find the part I needed to get it fixed same day. Then it ended up being $200 less than the price i was quote. 1/11/2020 Update my issue was not resolved and I have called them and set up an appointment to come out tonight and a half hour later I am called back and told that no tech is available to work on my water heater tonight so now I have to wait until tomorrow morning. I will not be using this company again.

Did not ask a lot of questions over the phone when we set up appt so tech didn't know what to do or look at. Dug around for 20 minutes on the side of the house. Told me call a septic company and a plumber to fix inside.

My downspout drains were clogged. I called Roto Rooter in the morning. They had someone come to my house to give me a quote and jetted and cleared the drains all in the same day. Meo Farjami was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and proficient. Thank you Moe!

Expensive and ineffective. Next time I will call a real plumber instead.My toilet backed up while wife was out. Roto-Rooter agreed to come and give an estimate. They noticed water in the outside line - $540 estimate. In a rash moment I accepted and 1/2 hour later my immediate problem was fixed before wife returned home. As I signed the bill I was reminded that Roto-Rooter does not guarantee their work They never checked any other part of my plumbing, so 2 weeks later I did what I should have done in the first place - I called a real plumber who fixed the problem in the line leading to the outside drain.A real plumber can do anything that Roto-rooter can do and will fix the real problem for less.

Really appreciated the work of service technician William Atwood and restoration technician Michael Weidinger when they responded to a sewage spill in the crawl space of my house over Labor Day weekend. They assessed the situation, patiently explained options, arranged for support equipment, and when it was safe to enter, made the repair quickly and accurately. Together they helped make a difficult situation as manageable as possible. Also appreciated phone updates from the dispatch staff along the way.

I just want to say that I have used Rotorooter more than once and both times it was a very positive experience. Both times they gave me a time on the phone of when they would be coming and it was within the time frame I was given. The repairmmen were knowledgeable and were able to fix the problem in a timely manner. The warranties I received on the work done are great. I tried my hand at repairing my own shower faucet due to a leaking shower head. Unfortunately the cartridge broke and I could not get it out so I called Roto rooter and they immediately sent A technician over to my house earlier than the timeslot. My technician was very friendly very knowledgeable and wonderful and showing me the issue. He worked very quickly was able to fix the problem with no other damage I would highly recommend this business to anyone else.

Since you asked:We requested a quote for 2 undermount sinks and the related plumbing for kitchen and bathroom... If we had known or been told you do not do the undermount we would not have had you come to our home.JOHN the estimator clearly knew RR does not perform this function. The costs for the install appear to be canned costs ests at a rate of $ 485, codes: 3010, 3300 & 3350..So we paid $70 and didn't get what we requested.Prices quoted were directly from a price quote sheet... it doesn't appear we even needed the $70 Visit, except RR did to have the opportunity to stick it to us. A few e mail pictures could have covered anything...The person setting up the appts needs to be able to tell customers you don't support undermount sink installs and we would have known you weren't the service we needed.(Outrageous est for nearly $2000 and we'd have to find someone else to install... what a joke !!)That's how you make your money, you will never get any more of ours.Feeling Ripped off by RR

the tech, ron k #3459, was exceptional! he was very knowledgeable, resourceful and tenacious about helping us trouble-shoot the source of the problem. he made sure we had his card several times and said we could call him for future info if needed. the roto rooter dept that deals with the city, the call center and dispatch were less than satisfactory. it took several calls and weeks to get a tech to come video our drain.

Rotorooter was the only company that actually guaranteed to have a service technician come over on the same day I called. This meant a lot to me, since having my water heater stop working when the temperature is 38 degrees Farenheit, is a real emergency to me. The Service Technician, Ryan McKenzie, showed up within the scheduled timeframe and quickly diagnosed the problem with the water heater. He explained to me the required parts and labor cost, got the parts needed, and had the water heater working again in no time! He took the time to explain the process as well as recommending other alternatives for future upgrades to my home's water heating system, which would save me money in my energy bill. Your service guy was very personable, no pressure to go ahead after he gave us his quote which we felt was way too high but then we haven't had to have this kind of service before so what do we know. He was fast, efficient, took away the clog, cleaned up after himself. Other than price we were VERY pleased with him and your service.

I had a clog in the toilet. I called a plumber from RotoRooter. He ended up using one of his machines to try and unclog the piping. Unfortunately, it wasn't a problem with the piping but a problem with the sewage pump. He ended up breaking it. The next day I called RotoRooter to complain. They sent out another person that same day to fix it. The new plumber, Marin, came and fixed everything. Also at no cost to me since the other plumber broke the pump. Overall, the service was good and I am happy despite the initial headache.

Our ongoing kitchen plumbing issue wasn't resolved by our own attempts, so when we finally succumbed to calling a plumber, our first choice was Roto Rooter. After an easy online scheduling, followed up by contacting the dispatcher to slightly change the hours, we were looking forward to doing dishes again! (Well, who REALLY looks forward to that?) Farhad, the technician, was right on time, professional, clear, and quick to identify our problem (blocked kitchen drain). But, for folks who've never solicited professional plumbing assistance, the first look at the estimate blew us out of the water. So we held onto the estimate and made a few phone calls that later helped us making our decision: call back Roto Rooter to have them take care of us with great prices and great service. Farhad returned promptly, and cleared our drain in no time. He tested it three times, and provided wonderful preventative maintenance tips. Based on this experience, and the 6-month guarantee, we will definitely be using Roto Rooter for future plumbing crises!

Giovanni was efficient and was in and out in 40 minutes to unclog our mainline sewer. Also he was very clear about future maintenance on the line and options for this maintenance.

I want to start this by saying I am a real person who is hard to please, however I feel when someone really earns praise they should be recognized for their work.I am always nervous with using big companies for service calls for my house. However Roto-Rooter exceeded my expectations. I had a backing up sink in the kitchen which affected and back up into drains in 1/2 my house. I called at 11pm and talked to a real person who was very polite and scheduled me for the next day 9am-1pm service call.From past experience with other big companies...such as cable, I expected the technician to be here by 3pm or so however at 8:45 am I got a call that said the technician was on his way. He arrived at 9:10.Florin Regus was my technician and all I can say is very impressed. He was timely, professional, knowledgeable and fixed my problem efficiently and completely. He even wiped his feet when coming in each time. Start to finish he was done and cleaned up in about 90 minutes.Roto-Rooter is not the cheapest but I more than feel I got what I paid for and when I pay for someone else to do the work I expect it to be done well the first time and Roto-Router and Florin Regus more then delivered.

The good: They came out early on a Sunday morning, unclogged our sewer line. The bad: Roto Rooter scoped the line, but did not give us a copy of the video, which is suspicious. They then tried very aggressive upsell tactics to get us to do a line replacement project, with pressure to sign that same day. We've since had two other companies look at the line, and both said it looked just fine, no replacement necessary. They also charged us much more than the going market rate for the drain clearing. Unethical people. I'm so glad I got other bids.

We had 2 very old faucets from the 50's that were no longer used or needed after a home remodel but they did have a drip problem so the plumber removed them and capped off the copper pipes.He did not have to solder the cut ends as we had expected, but used some newer technology with this special tool as pictured here that was very very quick . Florin Regus explained in advance just what work was needed and he then he solved our various other problems with old retro plumbing very quickly and efficiently. I recommend him as very competent & knowledgable in plumbing work.

After two days of disappointing no shows, plumbers finally arrived in late afternoon of 10/11. Technicians Pedram and Ben went right to work on the leak in our fresh water entry line where it passed through our cement basement wall. They continued working even after the sun went down. Job was completed before they left, and we once again had water. Work performed was accurate and skillful -they did an excellent job, and were neat and courteous.

Scott reviewed our problems, and explained the possible actions and accompanying costs carefully. We chose to have him ream out the grease and gunk, which he did carefully. This as the kitchen sink. He explained the importance of the frequent use of the enzyme and using more water. I was able to take good notes to explain how to care for all of our plumbing situations to explain to my daughter, Katherine Moore, the homeowner.Scott couldn't have been more clear and thoughtful throughout the service call. After my first experience with Roto-Rooter 8 months ago, I knew if anything happened via water I would know who to call.After learning that a sprinkler system hose had failed flooding not only my neighbors basement but also mine was terrifying. I was out of town for work and I had a literal melt down as I felt helpless being out of state.I called Roto-Rooter first thing and Patrick Chernut life saver was my Project Manager who called me almost immediately and let me know help was on the way for my neighbors and that they would look at my place as well since I was not there.When it comes to customer service, quick response and communication is a definite must but I will also say that having the ability such as Patrick to relate to people and calm down a hysterical person, along with walking them through all the specifics and letting them know that everything is going to be okay and that they have your back and will get you through this. I went from a hysterical meltdown to a calm sane person knowing I had Patrick and Roto-Rooters support.And that is only the first part. Our sewer line backed up and we were able to have someone come the same night. The technician was polite and arrived within the expected time frame. After trying to get into the drain through a toilet in the basement with no success, he tried to get a better angle on the cap by cutting a large square in the top layer of drywall, then he realized that there was a beam there. He then had to go through the main drain with the electric auger, it took a while as there was serious blockage from the previous owners 40 plus years of gunk. Aside from the hole in the wall that I need to fix I was happy that when he left our lines were clear. He also recommended that we get a camera inspection of the sewer line along with using drain colonizing bacteria to prevent future back ups.

Although the price was expensive, I was able to schedule quick (almost immediate) service to unclog a sewer line. The service tech, John, was prompt, helpful, and handled the issue quickly. I would highly recommend him to others.

Woke up to a leaky water heater. Called RR at 6:00 am for a free quote and they were here at 8:30 am. By a mistake, another plumbing company came out and gave us a quote (didn't ask them to come out b/c they charge for a quote). RR beat the quote by $100 and had everything installed and finally up to code very shortly! The tech also arranged for a Water Restoration company to come out to determine if our walls had water damage, another free estimate. The RR tech was clearly knowledgeable, professional and provided an excellent job!

Prompt and efficient service. I called for a basement shower/tub drain that was plugged. The service person came within an hour from placing the call and, with use of an electrical metal cable, was able to unplug the drain. We let water run for a bit. Erfan was very friendly and did a great job. It is not cheap but the service was great. Thank you!

I called Roto Rooter today because I had water spring underneath my bathroom cabinet. My normal plumber was out of town. I was so happy that I called Roto router and especially the plumber who came to my rescue, Tim Nelson. He explained everything he was doing what needed to be repaired showed me the old parts and the problems that they had caused. He also wore booties in the house which I very much appreciate it. Tim is a great asset to the Roto router team!

Moe was our tech that came to us on a sunday. Very well informed, gave us good detailed info of what he was doing and what we needed to do in the future to eliminate problems. My only complaint is the cost, as a senior citizen $500 for a 20 minute service seems excessive. I guess that's the way it is.

I had a very good experience with Roto-Rooter. Roto-Rooter cleared my crumbling 1937 sewer pipe twice, then replaced it and all the connecting drains in my house at my request. Roto-Rooter was very responsive and courteous, quickly getting the right people, equipment, and permits onsite for this big project, arriving when they said they would, keeping me informed, and completing the job in a timely manner.

Roto Rooter is awesome! I called another plumbing company to come clear out line on a Sunday following heavy rain. After waiting for hours and no response from that company I called Roto Rooter. The dispatcher was incredibly helpful and caring - made sure to ask whether we had sewage inside or any property damage that he could advise us about, and gave us a timeframe for a callback from a technician. The technician (I think his name was Rez?) arrived less than an hour after my initial phone call and took care of the problem quickly. Many hours after Roto Rooter was finished, I got a call back from the other plumbing company....The dispatcher that called to let me know when the camera inspection would happen was very accommodating. The follow-up camera work by Giovanni was quick and thorough. Next time I will call Roto Rooter first. And, as an added bonus I had totally forgotten their catchy jingle - it's now stuck in my head.

On August 10th we had an issue with a clogged drain. It was late in the day, but we called Roto Rooter for help. Within the hour, Kenny came. He was very kind, and polite, and said he could fix it right away. What great service! He went in and cleared the clog in record time! The only downside was the sticker shock but I suppose, having not had a plumber in the house for over ten years, this is just the cost of doing business. At first, we were given the time that the technician would arrive between 7pm-11pm. So we waited and waited while being all stressed out. The toilet seemed majorly clogged and water kept raising! It started to cause flooding! I called again around 9pm to make sure someone will come by, then were once again advised someone will be here shortly. Around 10:15, someone named Shannon called me and advised that there's a technician nearby will be here in less than an hour. More than 1 and a half hour later, no show! So I called to make sure we arent forgotten, then the guy on the phone said that the technician is still working on it. All staffs have different story. Imagine you're the customer in an urgent situation st home, not going to sleep because you're worried about the flooding, waiting and waiting with no updates, how would you feel? And of course, the response would be contacting the manager. That's not a solution! And now it i past 11pm. No call no show. Perhaps this company is a scam.

EXPENSIVE. VERY EXPENSIVE! Total was $418.30 and it took him 15 minutes tops. He went down 35 feet, but found the clog at 18 feet. But I choose to do it. They guarantee it for 6 months. For that price it should be a lifetime guarantee. I will try and find a less expensive way next time. Service was great though.

Did the job of snaking a sink for my tenant, but a lot of simple mistakes along the way. Wasted my time.I had called another plumber who wanted $500 to snake my sink. I should have gone with them, but instead tried Roto-Rooter for a better price.First Roto-Rooter said on the phone they couldn't offer a quote for simply snaking a bathroom sink, so I sent the competing plumber home (but later the Roto-Rooter plumber said $475 is their standard rate and the operators lacked knowledge, so the following is a chronicle of my wasted time and tenant hassle). This lack of an up front quote cost me about six hours of work over four days. Next, the plumber failed to use the intercom and said that he couldn't get in the building, and left. The intercom works fine and I gave detailed instructions. Next they didn't show up the next day, and didn't tell me why. When I called, the operator was very confused, kept saying that nobody answered the intercom to unplug a toilet (never an issue) and promised up and down that they take detailed notes. They never fail to take notes. Turns out someone had been sick (no worries) and asked my tenant to postpone a day, but hadn't taken a note nor told me. Then I start getting phone calls the next day because the plumber can't find parking... Deal with it and park. Then I get calls that he can't get in... Follow the directions I have very specifically for the intercom... Twice. He didn't get instructions from the operator, and he sounds drunk. Okay, I'll manually tell him how to use the intercom. No I won't call the tenant for you, use the intercom. No, the name is what I said. No, that's not the name I said, scroll to the name I said. Yes, now hit call. Turns out they want the same exhorbinant price the other plumbing company did.

After trying every method trying to unclog my kitchen sink, I finally called Rotor rooter. Pejman arrived all the way from Renton, WA. That's 26 miles away from my home!! He arrived on time, and went about his job like a pro. We even engaged in conversation while he toiled away. His friendly demeanor and professionalism was outstanding. Keep up the good work.

Wonderful service with Roto Rooter. Kitchen sink was clogged and after we tried 4 bottles of liquid cleaner, 2 foot snake, 25 foot snake still clogged. Roto Rooter saved the day and I highly recommend. They also offer 6 month guarantee. Serviceman was very professional and the work was done in a timely and very clean manner.

Our living room flooded due to an old hot water tank leaking and a burst pipe. We also discovered it had been doing it for some time as black mold began developing. Jason Payne and Luis Martinez, the water restoration technicians, were a dream! They came out right away, answered all our questions, worked hard, and were so friendly we looked forward to when they were here. They truly made a horrible situation so much more pleasant to deal with.

Roto rooter promised to come to remediate a flooded basement in an hour, and 5 hours later (as all other businesses closed) they called to say they weren’t coming and implied they don’t deal with flooding from rainwater. I then had to find another business to come out, after hours, incurring a $200 charge. I’ve been a customer of theirs before, but given the total lack of planning and communication causing me to pay more money, I would recommend avoiding.

I have been using Roto Rooter for about 12 years now. About every 2 year the tree roots clog my drain and I call Roto Rooter. They have always been quick to send someone out to fix the problem. I just called them today and they had a technician at my house within an hour. All the technicians have been very professional, friendly and I’ve been very happy with their service.

A big shout out to Kenny. He was prompt, professional and took his time to fully diagnosis our problem. He did not rush the job and was very careful to make sure that the problem had been fully resolved.

Called at 9am with a clogged sewer line, offered 1-5pm appointment window. Called at 3pm asking for status, was now told I had a 5-9pm window (even though I had an email confirmation), but they were doing their best. Called again at 5 and 7, still no firm ETA. At nearly 9pm, told that honestly they wouldn't be there until the next day now because they are just too busy. At midnight, I called Mr. Rooter and they had someone here in 30 minutes who efficiently solved the problem and I was in bed by 1:30 after waiting the entire day for Roto Rooter, who is terrible. Not sure if I can ask them for damages since they never actually performed any service, but at least I can share my story.

I have utilized the services of Roto-Rooter ever since the late nineties following the purchase of my first home. Back then, I was employed as a Sales and Service Training Instructor for organizations within a nine state region. The company I worked for had made the necessary agreement to use a 20/20 television program that aired highlighting several of the best international organizatons that provide outstanding services, products, and guarantees. Roto-Rooter was spotlighted as one of these organizations and, when needed, have been my only choice for both major and minor plumbing work ever since. I have not been let down.Yesterday, and for the second time in just two years, the sewer line backed up in our 1928 home. As usual, I contacted Roto-Rooter dispatch. As we noticed the concern quickly and could make other overnight arrangements, I requested service for Monday in order to avoid payment for any weekend premium. The dispatcher immediately informed me thatI I've nothing to worry about as the charge is the same regardless of the day or time and she dispatched a technician to rectify our situation right then. Reza, the technician, arrived very shortly thereafter.Reza was exemplary and outstanding...in expertise, in knowledge, in experience, in courtesy, and in efficiency. He rapidly located the cleanout, maneuvered his equipment, and proceeded to isolate and clear the line obstruction. Once cleared and upon verification our water was now draining, Reza then did a final check and was not completely satisfied with some remaining standing water observable at the bottom of the clean out. He then proceeded to add a larger blade to his equipment and redo the process in it's entirety once more until his comfort level was achieved. As an older home, Reza confirmed my suspicions and recommended our line be scoped and that we review more permanent repair options to the sewer line prior to any issue becoming critical as well as more costly. I concurred with his assessment and he then made a follow-up appointment for our line to be scoped and evaluated by one of his teammate specialists.At this time, I am awaiting the results and recommendations but it is highly likely that I will be choosing Roto-Rooter to rectify this matter using their most cost-effective and results-oriented solution.

We had a sewer blockage and I called Roto Rooter. They were out within 2 hours and Giovanni had the line cleared in no time. He even did a complimentary scoping of the line and talked me through some options for alleviating problem spots in the line. Highly recommended!

This is the second time we have used Roto-Rooter and are still extremely pleased with the service. The service is easy to schedule, the technician calls before arriving and the service is efficient and professional. WE set up a service on line on Sunday afternoon for Monday between 8 & 10 AM. Received a phone call Monday morning at 7:20 stating that the technician will be arriving * to 8:15. Florin arrived at 8:10 assessed our situation completed a Kitchen drain clean out by 9AM. The fee for this was a bit high @ $470. Florin was excellent and very knowledgeable.

Peyman came out the same day that we called. Our floor drain was backing up and Peyman explained everything in detail and was very fast and efficient. We were very happy with his service and would definitely recommend Roto Rooter to friends and family.

Had a major issue with our lines backing on Christmas morning least to say it was not a good morning for us so i called Roto Rooter the person i spoke to was kind and friendly she was able to get some one to our home right away. The gentalman that did the repairs was really good and did great work always cleaning the area while he was working and a fun to talk to he was able to get the job done and did a couple extra repairs that was needed he took his time and did the job right even though it was Christmas day he was is great mood singing Christmas song and laughing and joking to keep us entertand while he was working kudos to him, So if i have any more issues with my plumbing these will be the company to call to do all repairs if needed. We had William come out today to help with a clogged kitchen sink. He was knowledgeable, respectful and even a little funny. He fixed the clog, explained why it likely occurred and what we could do to limit the probability of it clogging again. I would recommend William and Roto-Rooter to my neighbors.

$220 for someone to open my sewer pump basin and tell me its clogged. It was too complicated for them to get a pump scheduled to clean out the basin so they could actually fix the issue. Thanks!

After trying and trying to unclog our drain using chemicals and lye, I called on Roto Rooter for their services as they've always done the job right with me in the past. Came out same day as we called. Found out that new washing machines have issues not explained by seller especially with older homes and pipes. Great job clearing my French drains from around the house. Borak their technician does a great job clearing the drain lines with his special jetter and camera work. Called RR on a Saturday. They were out in less than 2 hours. Roto Dude cleared my blocked drain, poured some kind of enzymatic drain cleaner in, and left me another bottle of said drain cleaner. It was $expensive$ but now the drain drains, so what can I say. Took off a star for the high price tag but quick service is worth a lot.

I've been reasonably happy with Roto-Rooter services in the past so I called them last week when my sewer line was blocked. This time I was super happy because the Service Technician, Narcis Ciceu, was outstanding. He was smart, polite and kindly explained everything he was doing. Scott came on a Saturday within the time stated by the dispatcher. The observed problem was water backing up onto the basement floor. Scott did all the assessment available without a camera to determine cause of the problem and with the cable improved the flow while determining the problem was likely more involved than simply a plugged pipe. He made arrangements for another crew (with a camera) to come later and discussed the availability of an excavation crew, should further examination warrant it. He tidied before leaving and the cost was below estimate.

Issue was a clog in the sink and later determined was well past 30'.Roto-Rooter was extremely friendly and professional from initial call to service, and close. I called for a plumber to come out and give me a diagnostics on my faul smelling house, that I suspected was a sewage backup in the pipes. When I called for an appointment I was told that it would cost nothing for an estimate. The technician was late, and wasn't even a plumber?! The technician that was sent to me said he only specializes in drainage?! He didn't work on anything, but I was still required to buy some fluid that was $65.13. I was told that he had to charge me something for coming out. Will never call this company again!!! This company sucks!!!

Sam Deirdar came to clear a block in my kitchen drain. The clean out is in a small space and hard to get at. He did a great job and had lots of information on how to care for my system. Definitely recommend them.

I called Sunday around 1:00 to schedule an appointment for my clogged sink, thinking it would probably be a couple days before they would be out. Realizing, I would now have to take time off from work, I wasn't sure when I could fit it in. When she came back on the line she told me they would be out that day. Prefect, I was home and not going anywhere. The fellow that came out was courteous and got the job done quickly. When I expressed my surprise that he was able to come out right away he said,they called him in as it was busy and they didn't want to have people wait. They didn't have to do that, but very happy they had the integrity to do so.

Scheduled appointment between 4-8pm. I waited four hours and recieved a missed call at 7:54, no voicemail. I called the number back rang twice and hung up on me. Called the number in the confirmation email after my third call to this number I talked with a dispatcher who said another appointment was in front of me and that I could either wait, she had no ETA so maybe 1 am, or reschedule for tomorrow. After taking off time from work and waiting around four hours I chose to find a more reliable company. So disappointing.

Told my husband $400 per hour plus parts. Paid over $2,000 for bathtub faucet fix when they did the previous install.

There are serious problems with scheduling as last night no one showed up, although scheduled for 6-10 pm. I only found out they had cancelled us by calling them. Bad business practice ~! Curt the installer today was great and Dwight the Project Manager also very responsive.

Technician tried jetting drainage pipes from our gutters (water was pooling near our foundation) and he wasn't able to clear them. We paid for the full hour of jetting ($600!), but he only spent 15-20 minutes trying to clear pipes. Shouldn't this be pro-rated?Called to complain about an hour after he left because I was stewing. Roto Rooter said a dispatcher would be calling and they would send another technician to try again when they became available. Didn't hear anything for 4 hours and called back to check. The dispatcher I talked to said that the soonest he could get somebody out would be Monday, but changes are it could be even Tuesday (it was Saturday....). I told him no matter how many days it took, I still wanted to somebody to come out and try again. He kept repeating himself, almost like he was trying to convince me to give up. Sorry, but for $580 I am not going to give up.Sunday - dispatch calls at 11 and says they can have someone out momentarily. The technician shows up and I explain the situation (nobody filled him in on anything). He says he needs to talk to his supervisor before trying the jetting again. Goes to his van for awhile and makes the phone call. Comes back out and says that he has been granted permission to work for free (sorry, but I already paid...this isn't free). He actually works for a full 45 minutes and manages to clear one of the 4 problem areas. Woohoo! Finally some progress.If I was just reviewing the 2nd technician, I would probably give a 3 star rating. However, overall I couldn't believe:1) The price for an hour of jetting ($580.00 including tax for an hour) - that is crazy!2) The first technician's lack of service and professionalism - I felt more unsatisfied with this visit than any other service I've ever requested in my life3) The service and attitude from the dispatcher - he literally was trying to get me to give up on getting something for the large amount of money I dished out.

Andrew (Drew), Ping, Christian, and Zach were incredibly professional in handling a serious pipe leak situation which occurred at my parents' home while they were away on travel. I discovered the issue while checking the house late on a Friday night and these guys showed up very quickly after just having taken care of another emergency situation at a nearby residence. They were all courteous and efficient in cleaning up and mitigating further damage and I cannot thank them enough for their empathy and hard work. Thank you so much again, guys!

3 hours outside of the service window selected. Communication was fine, repair was fast. The 3 stars is for the exorbitant price and the fact I had to wait until 7 pm. If you know you’re understaffed maybe don’t let people choose an early service window. Cost almost $500 for less than 20 minutes of work to clear a clog because they were working on a flat rate not hourly.

We had our main floor toilet overflow right before dinner on a Saturday evening, as two kids were showering simultaneously - a sure sign of a main drain blockage. Roto-Rooter was our first, and only call. No weekend/evening/emergency service fees, and a technician was at our door within 3 hours. Kenny, our service tech was FANTASTIC. He spent a few extra minutes trying to find an external clean out to try to save us some money, but since none could be found, he still had to pull out the entire toilet to clear the main line blockage. Kenny had a great sense of humor, especially for someone still working at 10:30pm and left no mess, no trace upon completion of the job. He even left his cell phone number in case we had any questions or problems or wanted him to walk us through the process of changing out our own toilet fill valve kits over the weekend, which he recommended. While the work did cost us more than we hoped, we are very pleased with the outcome and would call Roto-Rooter again in the future. Thanks, Kenny!

We are very pleased with the service from Roto-Rooter this week. Technician Tuan was very prompt, courteous, and efficient. He cleaned out the line for the bathroom sink which we knew was a problem, then he cleaned the line from the shower. He found a partial blockage there that was building up. The website was great to make the appointment, the dispatcher was courteous, and I even printed a coupon to use from the website. I also purchased a gallon of Pipe Shield biological drain cleaner for preventative maintenance. Do not use anything caustic in your drains! Call Roto-Rooter!

Kitchen sink was stopped up, plunged to no avail. Roto-Rooter came out quickly. The technician spent an hour and cleared it, cleaned up afterwards. He was knowlegeable and explained what he was doing. It was expensive, flat fee of $430, more than another company we called but we trusted Roto-Rooter.

Had a plugged drain and all toilets in the house were non-functional. Called Roto Rooter and staff was polite and professional. Ruben came onsite in the estimated time. He was knowledgeable and was able to identify the cause of our problem. Ruben was also very thorough and made sure the lines were clean and discussed ways to avoid this problem in the future. Having made an appointment to install a kitchen faucet for Monday evening (between 5 and 11 p.m.), we were disappointed to receive a call at 8:30 Monday evening only to be told that our service provider was stuck in a broken down vehicle south of Seattle and they had no idea how late it might be. Would we please reschedule? Being a two-income family (necessary to afford a $400 faucet installation), it's not so easy to accept the last-minute appointment change, but we agreed to a change to 8 a.m. on Tuesday morning. Sometime after 10 a.m. our plumber arrived (after two calls to dispatch). While Eli was speedy and efficient, the service leading up to the install was something less than either - and the cost of a 25 minute installation was utterly ridiculous. This is the third service call we've had with Roto Rooter. The previous two were much better and included experiences that were timely and dependable. Not sure what went on during this last one, but it was a disappointment.

I've had a leak in my toilet that has caused water damage to the ceiling below. I called Roto Rooter at 3pm and they dispatched a tech that came at 5pm (as requested, and with a courtesy call 30 mins prior). Tech, Marin, made a quick estimate and completed the the job of replacing the wax seal within 30 minutes. Hopefully all is good - won't know until I use the toilet a few times.

Chhaylee came to our place at 9pm on a Sunday evening to unclog our main sewer line that was backing up. Was in and out in about an hour and a half, pleasant to be around and was reasonably priced. Did a great job and took great care to ensure the area was left clean. Great Job!

We had purchased a new dishwasher for our favorite 90 year old, had it delivered to be installed, only to be told the technicians could not & would not deal with the existing pipe configuration. It was late Friday and there we were w/a new dishwasher in the middle of the kitchen and a stalemate on installing it.Roto-Rooter came out promptly on Saturday. We got a thorough, clear explanation of the challenges to installing the dishwasher and all the options, including price. There was no pressure and they seemed to take into account an understanding of the challenges on our end as well. We decided the best course of action and Sergey went to work.He was pleasant, skilled and neat...but also patient with two Norwegian grandmothers asking questions and being helpful. Clearly he was raised Right: the kitchen was left as clean as he found it, but with only one (working!) dishwasher.There were no extra charges for the estimate, the weekend time or the supervisors. Sergey whistles while he works and even took the dead microwave away w/ the old dishwasher. (Never talk about the demise of one appliance in front of another!) We recommend both Sergey and Roto-rooter highly.

I had standing water in my bathtub and tried to fix myself with no success. I called Roto-Rooter they came out within a few hours, Alex was very professional and courteous, fixed the problem in no time. It was expensive but worth it to be back in business!

Had a clogged kitchen sink and the technician, Paul, came out and did his best to clear the line. Understandably, you can't snake through foundation if the pipe is cracked. He didn't feel confident that he could finish so he had no hesitation calling his boss for further help (before calling he had 11 years of plumbing work so he was no novice by any means). Both men worked diligently trying to help me out. I didn't get the solution I wanted but they were honest with their endeavor and diligent on the work.Frankly, this is going to cost me money but these guys can't perform miracles. If anything I appreciated having a professional diagnose and work on this pipe break. Any other plumber would have been dumbfounded so I can't knock them down the rating system because they were unable to clear the line. It's an unwinnable situation but they're responsiveness, courteousness, and honesty won me over.

I had a houseful of family over Christmas and got a clog in the guest bathroom. On the day after Christmas I was desperately looking for a plumber to help me.I had to find a company that had a 50 foot long snake to release the clog. Roto-Rooter sent Alex M out and he did an excellent job and was very professional and efficient.

Roto Rooter did a great job unclogging our shower. Stuck with bark and paper bits post construction, which an at home system never could have fixed. I called in the morning, they came one hour later and were done!

We had a straight over tackle problem of a clogged sink and drain line we couldn't fix ourselves. Set up an appointment in the evening on the internet and they were at our house the next morning, completing the job before 10am. Great service and communication. Aman Armin replaced a broken Moen shower cartridge for us. He had to drill the cartridge out and fixed the problem without having to cut through the wall and replace the entire shower plumbing setup. It's good to see he's not trying to scam customers for more money. He was on time for the appointment and had a positive attitude throughout the process. We would recomend him for your plumbing needs.

Courteous and organized older person, showed no tension and having been told about two dogs who bark, he went out of his way to acknowledge our four-legged 'brothers'. I would feel more comfortable if the 'fixed company rate' were publicly available such as on the WWW portion of the internet. As all plumbing work is notoriously expensive, a bit of 'transparency' in pricing would be welcome and take some of the 'sting' out. All summarized, this was another Roto-rooter pleasant experience.

Giovanni was really helpful, courteous and knowledgeable. I was impressed with him, and he represents Roto Rooter very well. Today Mark came out for a water inspection and he very polite, knowledgeable and helpful.

We had a side sewer blockage just as we were preparing to leave on vacation. Roto-Rooter responded quickly, sending a very professional and competent serviceman who opened up the blockage and was able to locate the problem via video. However, the camera could not reach all the way to the main sewer, so we needed to install an external clean-out and excavate over the problem in order to do pipe bursting and replacement of at least the first 25' of side sewer. It turned out that all of our utilities (electric, gas, cable) run too close to the side sewer pipes, so we had to line the pipes. Roto-Rooter did the job for the original quote. All the work was done promptly, despite it being the July 4th holiday week. It was an expensive job, but I believe it was fairly priced.

Had a great experience with Roto Rooter today. Both Farid and Giovanni were super! They were experienced, polite, and didn't try to up charge me or over charge me. They did a great job in solving the problem. Super pleased.

Made a call for a plumber when the outdoor faucet at my mothers house broke. A plumber showed up within the window qouted by the dispatcher. But when he arrived it was quickly determined that he was not equiped to handle the job. He called dispatch and set up another appointment for the next day. The next afternoon another plumber came out and qouted us $2000 to do the job. We decided to have him cap it off because $2000 just to have a spigot in the backyard was outragious. The reason for the 4 star review was due to the plumber ( Sam #1014 ) who came out the second day, was such a great guy. Roto-Rooter was on time and did provide us with qoute before the job was done. I couldn't comment on the value of service because we didn't call any other plumbers.

Serviceman was very polite, friendly, and worked hard to unclog my drain by positive persistence since it was a tough one. I appreciated his understanding of the problem and his work to solve it.

Alex was exemplary in his workmanship and very helpful to us answering our questions and telling us about the enzyme product to prevent problems in the future. We had experienced a novel accident in our guest toilet when our friend was trying to be helpful and was putting a new roll of paper on and the holder fell into the toilet while it was flushing and disappeared.. The plumber Roto-Rooter sent was awesome. Not only did he do a great job but he tried to teach me more about plumbing so that in the future I could try to fix things myself. (Not sure I am capable of that but he was confident I could do it). Would definitely use them again.

I have worked with retail properties for many years and have worked with many companies in this line of work.Roto Rooter business model is to only do as little work as they need so that they can come back out or do additional unneeded work. I have seen time and time again the on site crew have very poor knowledge of the industry and just recommend work to make a dollar. Each technician does their own billing so it is like they run their own franchise but if you call the main office they do not help with issues of fraud.

I called ROTO-ROOTER at 2.54pm for a clogged basement drainpipe connected to my washer, thinking no way they would schedule me in for that day, to my surprise the friendly dispatch lady promptly provided me with an appointment for later that afternoon, Sam (service tech 4355) arrived at around 5.30 kindly introduced himself and quickly diagnosed location where pipe clog from utility sink was and provided estimate of repair. Sam explained condition of clogged pipes and provided recommendation for maintaining due to their age. 1 hr. later the water was flowing as it should. He cleared the pipes and replaced the defective traps that were leaking from the joints, additionally he provided me with One-Shot Pipe shield pipe maintenance treatment. I noted Sam's work ethic, very polite and professional and he toughly explained the invoice and guarantee the Co. supported for his work. I would not hesitate to call Roto-Rooter in the future for any plumbing problems, and would highly recommend Sam!

We live in Tacoma, WA. We had a sewer problem and we called Roto-Rooter. In the end, we needed major repairs as the sewer line was broken all the way to the street. Roto-Rooter has done the work and it was done timely and courteously. Most unexpected for me was coming home from work last night and looking around. They promised to clean up after themselves - and they did! It was amazing. Best job I could imagine. I so appreciated their skills and then their follow through. And did I mention it was over Christmas? Even that was not a problem. Flat rate and done well. Thank you, Roto-Rooter.

$60 to give a sales pitch. Did not investigate more than poke head under sink. Call center was not up front with cost to unclog and scope which was over $1500. Unsold me on more than $70 to pour a gallon of cleaner down the drain rather.

The Plumber was here for less than 45 minutes and charged $280.00 for labor. That is highway robbery. What is your hourly charge for Labor? It can not be $280. The Work done: replaced both supplied for water heater. He was not clear when he quoted the job. He said it would be $280.... $100 is for parts. I was expecting the total bill to be $280. Then when he was working on it, I wanted to write the check, for payment, I say the price is $280 right? he says, plus parts and tax... The total cost of the job was $386.24. That was a surprise to me because I thought $280 was a lot. Please refund me $100. That is what I feel was over charged.

Plumber Phil came out to evaluate my plumbing need. He gave me an estimate of time and cost. He even asked me if I had a coupon which I did but most people wouldn't have cared to ask. He got started and accidently spilled glue on my garage floor. He looked me in my eye and said he'd make sure to get that up off the floor. Let me tell you he worked hard to clean up the glue and I appreciated it. I also noticed that a wall got damaged and Phil had no issue with taking care of that as well. I'd have him come back in a heartbeat. Anyone that takes responsibility for their actions is someone I'd like to do business with.

What should you do when your hot water fails on your birthday? When you have guests coming over? On a holiday?(labor day). Call ROTO-ROOTER. I was told Drew the technician would be at my house at 11:00. Dude was there 3 min early. He diagnosed the problem and gave me options quickly. It's was time for a new water heater. Drew had the new one in and the old one out, cleaned up, and gone by 2:00. So to recap... Broken hot water heater on birthday.... bad... I called with a clogged drain in my kitchen. The service man flashed a light under my sink and asked me to sign a $515 minimum fee. I threw him out, shocked that a 15 minute smaller job would cost over $500. He bartered down to $350, added $100 to take a bone out of the garage disposal. 35 minutes and $495. Not sure if it was me or my drain that got reamed.

Curt Christopherson saved our day! The earliest appt we could get from a local company was 9:00am the next morning which meant no water for over 12 hrs. Curt showed up within an hour of our call and quickly determined what needed to be done and took care of the problem efficiently and timely all the while still taking the time to explain what he was doing. We needed a new garbage disposal. Marin, our service technician, was very pleasant. He efficiently completed the installation, including removal of the old unit, in less time than expected.

Sent someone out the next day and diagnosed my issue: the garbage disposal I had ordered was too tall for my sink and wouldn't drain. He had a smaller one in his truck and was able to install right away. 1 star off for the price, which was higher than I had hoped.

Vlad was great. I had already had another company out to look at our clogged drain and was told it was probably a collapsed pipe. Yikes! They tried to snake it and couldn’t get it to go through. Vlad was here 5 minutes before he had it cleared. I also appreciated his professionalism as I wrestled with whether I should let him try and possibly be on the hook for charges from two different plumbers. I generally try to avoid national chains and go with local operations but I’ve used this branch a couple times over the years and think they’re an honest, professional bunch. I’ll call again when the next issue arises!

I have originally scheduled a 6-8pm window and they told me they have delayed so I waited until 8 no one showed up so I just canceled that days appointment and made another appointment for the next day from 12-2 pm. They got delayed again and someone showed up around 4pm.That guy finished the job good and quick but I could smell alcohol from him. I am not 100% sure about that but I do smelled something and felt a little bit upset.

Aman Armin was very professional. He did a great job fixing our shower. He was at my home exactly at the time expected and knew exactly what to do. He provided an estimate up front and explained the entire job to us. I will definitely call Rotorooter again for all plumbing needs.
