Best Line Repair And Replacement in Seattle WA

Fox Plumbing, Heating & Cooling - Seattle Plumber
Not knowing who to call was the hardest part for me, been several months to a year before I finally decided to call a recommended company, then that company pushed me away and said they did not service my area. Bummer. But, they did recommend Fox Plumbing & Heating. Well, the technician who showed up was awesome. He did a few things, we talked, he listened to me, which was perfect. Went outside, did a search with a camera in the intake and exhaust pipes, no blockages in pipes. Figured out the problem right away in the furnace, taught me qhat it was and fixed it, paid the bill and off he went. I'm very pleased with the tech and his diagnosis and his great customer skills with me. I have a heating company I will use again. Thank you

Beacon Plumbing Plumber
Was re-doing a bathroom floor and needed a plumber to pull out the toilet and then re-install the same toilet after the floors were done. They would not provide even a price range until they showed up to perform the job. Showed up in the middle of the flooring job, looked at a binder for 3 seconds and charged almost $950. Couldn’t go to anyone else because the flooring job couldn’t move on till the toilet was out. Nothing illegal about their practice, but extremely unethical and predatory. Go through a local plumber it will easily be half the cost.EDIT: in response to Becon, no one ever mentioned having someone come out to provide a quote for a $75 dollar fee, that’s just a straight up lie. You do make a valid point in I should have allowed time to get multiple bids, but if you guys were transparent about even providing a general price range I would have not ended up trapped and would have never used you. Also the flooring company when we went to complain to them said “oh you used becon? Yeah they are the worst. They price gouge and rely on people who are stuck in an emergent situation.” will not be using again.

Jim Dandy Sewer & Plumbing Plumber
Had Jim Dandy out to look at my sewer line they replaced 4 years ago and make sure there weren’t roots that needed jetting. Good news is that it was pretty clear and not needing the $850 jetting. Bad news is I got charged $350 for the camera going down the pipe for 5 minutes. Not the technicians fault but is the managements fault as the technician said if the camera goes down they have to charge the fee. Highway robbery. Furthermore when they opened up the pipe they had to remove some rocks and chipped up concrete and left them to the side. For $305 of 30 minutes of work max I would expect the job site to be picked up. Will not be using again.

Repipe Masters Plumber
Nick and his team replaced our old galvanized pipes. They were respectful, professional and efficient, not to mention their bid was thousands less than some others and done in less than a day. They cut far fewer holes in our walls than some estimates projected and patched them well afterwards. I can't imagine a better experience. Would recommend to anyone looking to repipe their home.

Seattle's Best Plumbing & Rooter LLC Plumber
PJ and the team came to the rescue for me. My home ran into a serious plumbing issue, with a sewer line that needed to be replaced. Our whole household was in emergency mode — we couldn't take a shower, flush, or even wash our hands normally.

PJ and the team went well beyond the call of duty, working late into the night on a holiday weekend to get us operational again. They didn't have to do that — but I am so appreciative that they did!

You'll be pleased with their dedication to the craft, communication, and overall pleasantness to work with.

Seattle Hot Water Co. Plumber
Watch out for these guys, as they will try to rip you off as much as possible! Very dishonest people.
They inspected our 5-yr old tankless water heater and identified that a part had to be replaced. After we gave them the go ahead on replacing the part (heat exchanger) worth < $300, without our consent, they replaced the whole unit (which they provided themselves with a 60% mark-up for $2,000). And then they threatened consequences if we didn't pay the price immediately.
When we asked in a respectful manner why the mark-up was unreasonable and why we hadn't been notified of switch from part replacement to unit, Evan (owner) started using curse words and started threatening.
After we paid them, we asked for our old unit (one day after their service), they said they had tossed it out and it couldn't be retrieved.

Having said all of that, they responded promptly with a same day service and everything was back online and working after 3 hours, so if you don't mind them stealing from you, this business can be a good choice.
We recommend getting a 2nd opinion if they tell you the unit has to go.

Clearwater Leak Detection, Inc. Plumber
Simon of Clearwater Leak Detection, Inc. arrived as scheduled. A little early if I recall but I was happy that he was. It Shows professionalism and integrity in my estimation.

Using his test equipment he set out to locate the underground pipes and find the leak. He was meticulous and seemed to be very precise in his testing and evaluation. In under two hours he had laid out and marked the location of the underground pipe. He located the source of the leak and marked the asphalt/grass accordingly. (See Photo)

He used had sensitive sound sensing equipment to locate the pipe run and the leak. He did this by turning off the water supply at the water meter. He pressurized the water line with compressed air from his truck. His air line was connected to one of the hose bibs at the residence. Using the sound generated by the air pressure escaping from the line underground, he systematically located the pipe run and isolated the leak. His methods, equipment and the use of that equipment was very impressive. The leak was 26 Inches underground and approximately 24 inches from the Blue X (See Photo). The entire water pipe run is about 60 feet end to end and he located the leak within two feet.

In November of 2018 I had experience with another leak detector. Due to their lack of professionalism, they were NOT on my call back list.

If I ever need leak detection service again, I sincerely hope that Clearwater Leak Detection will be available. They are highly recommended.

As to cost of the service, I believe all the leak detection services charge within a few dollars of one another, about $450. But I have to tell you, after I spent two days digging up my yard to locate a leak in my rocky Spanaway property, I am kicking myself for not calling them sooner.

Akers Outdoor Plumbing, Inc. Plumber
Akers is THE BEST if you need a waterline replacement. I came home from 2 weeks away to learn of a leak in our 250 foot water line from the city meter to the house. Andy came out within a day to take a look and spent 90 minutes with me describing the exact approach they would take and answered all questions. His crew got started within 3 days and had a new line installed in a couple of days using the best materials and fittings (other quotes from plumbing companies called for using inferior pipe and not nearly the level of thoughtfulness as Akers). It was a tremendous stress reliever to have professionals handle this and allow me to never worry about it again. If you need a new waterline in the Seattle area Akers is the only place to call.

SODO Plumbing and Mechanical Plumber
Had them come out for a hot water heater repair, right on time and very professional. Also, the guy wasn’t equipped to fix the problem I had, but he told me how to do it myself and then didn’t charge me for the visit, saying he doesn’t like charging people when he doesn’t fix the problem.

Didn’t fix my issue, but it wasn’t their fault, and overall found them to be very trustworthy. Would recommend.

Sharif came out and was absolutely top-notch to work with. He was very transparent (not at all salesly) when talking about the longevity of our furnace, was able to fix a component of our Nest thermostat free-of charge, and gave a recommendation about how to self-service our water heater. Sharif's customer service was superb and would recommend him for any of your heating & plumbing needs!
