Jeff Richter was the plumber who responded on both projects... he was on time, clearly explained what he found and the options for repair, and took the time to answer all of my questions..... even the dumb ones. I hired O’Neill Plumbing Company after having a really bad experience with another supplier recommended by The Home Depot. After being without water for 4 days and the other company leaving the premises without any solution, Donna from O’Neill called me to learn about my experience and figure out how they could help.

Nelson showed up at my place to assess the situation on Saturday evening and was able to fully explain the process, the cost, and their commitment to get the work completed on Sunday. Nelson, Bobby, and Mickey were at my place at 9:30am as scheduled. They were incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to do business with. They took care of everything and, although the cost ended up being higher than I initially budgeted for, it was worth every cent as the process was seamless and the work was completed as expected within the time frame they provided.

On top of that, their positive attitude and customer service was top notch. They sacrificed their Mother’s Day celebrations to complete this project and can’t thank them enough for such a great experience. We recently had O’Neill Plumbing out to hydro jet a shared side sewer line and want to say they did a great job. It was a very challenging project involving a long line set on a hillside that involved going up and down the hill carrying equipment to multiple cleanouts. We worked with Bobby to coordinate everything, and Frank and Joe did the hands-on work. All of them were great people to work with. They were pleasant, knowledgeable and diligent on the work. I heartily recommend them and plan to use them for future maintenance and repairs.

The team from O'Neill Plumbing just installed a new copper water service at my home and did an outstanding job. Mike, Lorenzo and Carl prepared for the boring and made the necessary connections and upgrades on time, with expertise and cleaned up thoroughly. Mike, the lead plumber, ensured that the City came out and installed a new copper pig-tail from the city main to my property. Excellent work.

O'Neill did an excellent job of replacing our failed 48 year old waterline. Prior to selecting their bid to do the work, they installed a temporary water connection, at no cost to us, so we could resume normal living until our new water line was installed. My tenants had the main feed from the street burst. I put out several inquiries via e-mail that night, we had stopped the leak and were not in an emergency situation. O'Neill didn't answer first but answered personally via a phone call early the next day.

I had appointments with other plumbers as I knew it would be a big job and though it prudent to get competitive bids. The Journeyman Bobby insisted on meeting me onsite ASAP after calling me while all others scheduled a 4 hours window later in the day with a service charge.

Bobby showed up quickly , evaluated the job gave me a quote and got water restored to the house as a limp along. I was insistent on paying something and he refused saying he really didn't do anything. Huge plus.

While Bobby was walking me through the pricing and options to properly fix this I felt informed and not talked down to, something the other local big companies cannot claim.

Ultimately they came in with much better pricing and a better attitude during the bidding process. I'm not an expert on plumbing however my tenant is an associate plumber and says the final work was well done.

I would highly recommend this company when you are in need and in fact already have.

I was impressed with the friendly and professional communication from both Frank S. and Bobby. I learned about my plumbing system and understood the issues at hand. They responded quickly and then worked efficiently to solve issues that were bonito straight forward. I highly recommend.

I woke up to the worst news a few weeks ago. The local water district banging on my door telling me I have a major water leak and they are shutting off my water. I called O'Neil Plumbing at they came out early the next morning and fixed the issue. Luckily, it was my pressure release valve right next to the water main so instead of tearing up my concrete rockery and driveway, they spent a few minutes digging and replaced the valve. My 10-20k job turned out to be $2,100 from them.

Then a few days ago the water company left a note on my door stating I still had a leak. When I called them to ask if it could be a toilet, I was told no it was the repair.

O'Neil came back out and checked the repair and it was dry. They think it is the toilet in one of my bathrooms that needs to be replaced.

I cannot say enough about them. Mike was very kind and understanding. I will not hesitate to contact them again in the future.

Good old fashioned customer service. I recently worked with Bobby at O'Neill. I needed the sewer at my rental poperty hydrojetted. After cancelling because of a sick colleague, he went out of his way to accomodate my schedule. He gave me his cell number, came early (outside of normal business hours), to accomodate my tenants, arrived early, was prepared, and got right down to business. Two thumbs up!

I contracted with O'Niell Plumbing to replace my sewer line. The project was done on time, the crew did quality work, cleaned up at the end of each day, was very easy to work with and kept me informed as to their progress. I would highly recommend O'Neill Plumbing.

They installed two water heaters side-by-side. They made sure that they are balanced properly. Their team is very professional and they helped me out quite a bit. The water heaters are working great.

O'Neill Plumbing lined our old sewer line with plastic in West Seattle in 2018. In February of 2022 we had a sewer inspection prior to putting our house on the market and were surprised to hear that there were roots in our line. I called O'Neill plumbing the same day and got a call back from Bob who said they would take care of it. The very next day a crew of three showed up at the house. They pinpointed the problem location in our line and then dug down to the line and repaired the compromised portion of the line. The crew of three spent the better part of the day at the house, the hole they had to dig was quite deep. The next day another gentlemen from O'Neill Plumbing brought by some top soil to fill in the top of the hole dug the day earlier.

My wife and I have had O'Neill Plumbing perform other plumbing work over the years and we have never had a negative experience. We recommend them without reservation.

Great experience both times I had O'Neill help me with a repair. The plumbers appeared to be experts in their field and were very courteous and friendly. The pricing appears to be fair and the job was done right. I will use again.

Bobby, Frank and Julian came out and saved.the.day. I called 12 other companies and they all said they wouldn't touch the problem (septic flooding into the backyard) because the system was old and we are in the city of seattle. I have used O'Neill many times, it just didn't occur to me they would look at my septic. When I called them for a referral, they said we'll come look at it! They sent a superhero. You know you are off to a good start when you get the guy who just looks like he has been doing this for a while, he gives you a big smile, and says over and over We are going to get to the bottom of this! The other companies charged $450 just to show up and O'Neill came out and troubleshooted for quite a while and charged me NOTHING. They came back the next day and flushed the system (no one else wanted to try) and it worked!! I am a seriously grateful homeowner. For more serious customer service examples, while some of the guys set up, Bobby walked around my new (old) house and helped me figure out the main water shut off, turned the irrigation back on for the spring, and looked at my malfunctioning water heater all while never once seeming condescending. Lastly, they had to stretch a hose across the sidewalk so Julian stayed at the street all day to make sure no one tripped! To keep himself busy he swept my entire driveway. I couldn't make this stuff up. Good guys, good job done. Thank you!

I needed a plumber fast to fix a leaking faucet. I had heard about O'Neill Plumbing on a local home improvement radio show. I thought they might only be interested in major remodel jobs, but that thought couldn't be further from the truth. I called and spoke with a representative named Kellie. She was very nice and professional. Much to my surprise, I was able to get an appointment the day I called. Todd and Jordan arrived right around the time Kellie said they would. Both were very pleasant and accommodating and a pleasure to speak with. They made the repair very quickly and with no mess to clean up after. I found the entire service call to be completely satisfying and stress-free. I have used O'Neill several times with great results. they even lined my sewer pipe with me watching over their shoulder. Under promised and over delivered! I have recommended them to several friends and they have all thanked me for the referal...

We had an old hose bibb that was dripping and a ball valve that was supposed to shut off the water to that hose bibb that was no longer shutting off completely. I had someone from another plumbing company out earlier in the week for an unrelated drainage issue (I wish I had contacted O'Neill for that one as well). They gave a rough estimate of $12-1500 for the repair, but then never got back to me like they said they would.) On a T&M basis that seemed quite high, and he gave me a mealy-mouthed response about cost of materials, labor (even though I knew their hourly rate) and that they guarantee their work. I found O'Neill and gave them a call. They said the job sounded pretty straightforward and estimated at the most an hour per part of the job but said they would come out to give a free estimate. Colin and Frank arrived in the time window they said and quickly came up with an estimate of an hour total labor plus parts. That included cutting into the inside wall to replace the hose bib properly instead of unscrewing the old one from the pipe coming out of the house and putting on a non-frost free one, which the other guy wanted to do. Colin found a bit of an issue with the way the pipe was inside the wall and suggested that it would be a better fix if they went further back along the wall. All of this without adding to the additional time estimate. When all was said and done, we have a new valve under the house and a new frost free hose bibb, all for less than half what the other guy said it might cost. If I need a plumber again in the future, I know who I will call.

Emergency adjustment on incoming line at the PRV. Got us to a place where we can schedule the larger work during normal business hours.

I called for a running toilet and unfortunately the part that was needed wasn’t in their stock for weeks. They were able to offer an alternative solution. We were able to order online sooner and will attempt to fix on our own. I appreciated the same day appointment and professionalism by Farmer and Reed. They understood our need to get the parts in sooner. They only charge if they perform the work. I’m going to reach out to O’Neill in the future. (I’ve used another plumbing company and they charge just to give me an estimate)

Have used them over the years. Called today because a rental unit of mine had an emergency. I called their emergency line at 8:47 am and spoke with their off hours emergency contact. She said that she would have someone contact me. No one called. I called to follow up at 2:14 pm. They said that they had no record of my call and that their emergency service is four days out. Really? Glad for them that their business is so good that they don't have to respond to customers. Wasted half a day waiting for a response from a company that I thought was reliable.

I made a really dumb mistake of forgetting to disconnect a hose from an outdoor faucet right before our temps got down to 20 degrees. Recipe for a burst pipe at 3am! Ugh. I started calling around to places at 4am and O'Neill was the only service using a real employee to respond to the overnight emergency number (most use a call service who have no connection to the business). Not only did they call me back a couple of times to let me know they were trying to schedule around a major snow and freezing event, they surprised and delighted me by letting me know that they had a cancellation and could fit me in by 1pm. 2 members of their crew rolled up right at the time I was told and had the pipe replaced and my water back on within 30 minutes. They also didn't charge a cold weather extra fee like I was expecting based on reviews from so many other plumbing services. Thank you O'Neill Plumbing! I will sure to call you first this spring when I am ready to replace some galvanized pipes.

I have used O'Neill Plumbing several times. The last time the follow up was awful. It has been a week and the faucet and drain have not been fixed by them. The kitchen sink and laundry room could not be used and was told the backyard had to be dug up and someone would call me back Monday or Tuesday. I called back Monday and was told someone would call me back. That has still not happened. I called Beacon plumbing and they sent Jesus out to take a look and he did the repairs and cleaned the line. Nothing had to be dug up in the back yard. Its all working fine now. I wonder if O'neill would have ever Called back to finish the job

O'Neill Plumbing is fantastic. I've known some of the guys who work there for a few years and they are all wonderful people. I recently had the opportunity to have them come to our house and do some work for us and just as I expected, they were excellent. Not only was the work done professionally and very neatly, but they identified another problem we had that may have caused us future issues and were able to have that fixed within the same week. All of the plumbers are friendly and were a joy to have in our home and they left the job spotless upon completion. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs plumbing work done, thanks guys!

Jeff Richter and John came to our house to fix the garbage disposal. They were prompt, very quick, very professional and personable. They explained what they were going to do and after exactly what they did do. They made me feel like I had known them for years. Accidentally cut into my neighbors irrigation system on a Saturday. We called a number of plumbing companies and either they didn’t answer or they said they couldn’t help. We tried O’Neill and they didn’t hesitate to say yes. They connected me to Wendy who kept us updated frequently as to when their tech could come, and when Mikey showed up he fixed the problem quickly and professionally. I experienced an emergency when my sump pump stopped working and overflowed (slightly, not horrible) on a Saturday. Fortunately, my girlfriend told me about O'Neill; she had an excellent experience with O'Neill previously, so I called them. They called me back in 5 minutes (this is on a Saturday, mind you), scheduled a plumber to come out right away. Not only did the plumber - Mike Kerr - call me to say, I'm on my way, but he also asked me some great questions - as a result, he was totally prepared for action when he arrived. He completed the job professionally and kept me informed. He wrapped up everything nicely and explained the charges well. I highly recommend O'Neill; from the first contact to payment receipt, they were great.

I had two outside faucets that were leaking. I tried to repair one of them and ended up causing breakage within the wall, which led to flooding until I shut the water off. Mike and Mike of O'Neill Plumbing arrived the next day, a few minutes prior to the time specified. Within an hour, they had repaired the broken pipe and replaced both faucets. They were friendly and professional and didn't complain when I showered them with questions about their process. They cleaned up all the debris and were careful to avoid tracking dirt into the house. On all levels, I am extremely satisfied with their work.

Came home to a busted water heater. I couldn't even locate the source of the leak because there was a torrential downpour in my garage. In a panic I called O'neill plumbing and Donna was extremely helpful and calmed me down. I sent her pictures and she was hopeful that the water heater didn't need to be replaced. She was able to confirm that they could send a plumber that night. James and Kyle arrived 3 hrs later and wore masks and shoe coverings. They quickly assessed the problem - my expansion tank failed. They were both nice and courteous while they were in my home and replaced the tank within 30 minutes. I was pleasantly surprised at the cost - less than $400. Such a good experience from start to finish. I highly recommend this company.

James came out to our house to fix a leak and install a holding tank on our hot water heater. He was very professional, knowledgeable, and answered all my husbands questions. He was also punctual and cleaned up after himself. Overall the service was a wonderful experience. O'Neil has been our go to plumbing service in the past and is now the only plumbing service we will use. Highly recommend.

We had a bit of a plumbing emergency this past weekend when we split a pipe messing with our outdoor spigot. Mike from O'Neill was able to come out and get everything fixed up within a couple hours. It was a beautiful Saturday and considering we're in the middle of a pandemic, we definitely needed our water running so we could keep up with our hand washing. Mike was also able to take a look at our other outdoor spigot and find a quick fix for that too. We now have running water and TWO working spigots. The cost was reasonable and Mike was friendly, professional and did great work. Highly recommend.

I called 4 highly rated plumbing companies and O’Neill Plumbing was the only one willing to estimate the cost of installing a faucet! Using prior experience, it seems companies would have a general idea of the time (thus the cost) needed to replace a faucet ... after all, it wasn’t a repair -
we booked w/ Kelli and Steve came out on the day promised and completed the work in less than 30 minutes. It was a brilliant experience start to finish and going forward, O’Neill will be our go to plumbing company.

PS - it was pleasantly shocking to learn the cost for the switch out! It was bloody ridiculous - in a wonderful way! thank you O’Neill team.

I had a great experience with John and Colton. They took the time to explain the problem and the possible solutions so I could make informed decisions. They even showed me how to do a quick fix myself. As a young female homeowner, I’m used to being talked down to, and they didn’t do that at all. I will definitely be calling them for future projects.

EDIT: Since this review, I have used O’Neil for re-plumbing my entire house, as well as replacing my water and sewer lines. They have been amazing every time. They are always honest, even when they could easily make more money by bending the truth. They do quality work, and they stand by it. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

I contacted O'Neill to replace two toilets and find a gas leak. The toilet replacement went perfectly and the install was neat and clean. The gas leak was a bit more difficult and could have been outrageously expensive if it were not for the efforts of James and Kyle. They came up with a way to replace the leaking gas line without breaking into walls and causing me to incur a significant additional construction repairs. Their ability to be creative and think outside the box got my gas leak repaired, replacement line and new shutoff valve saving me a significant amount of expense. They arrived on time, wore booties to protect my hardwood floors, had on the proper PPE in my house during the Covid-19 pandemic and left the work areas completely clean. I highly recommend using O'Neill Plumbing for excellent customer service!

I cracked my downspout as I was digging and needed to get it fixed before it rained again. I called O’Neil in West Seattle and Bobby was at my house 3 hours later to estimate the work. He came up with a creative solution to tie into my concrete line and replace the downspout. I was offered a fair and reasonable price; his team was back 8am sharp the next morning. They not only repiped my downspout, but went above and beyond and scoped my line to ensure it still drained. Last minute I asked if a clean out could also be added. They had no problem working that in. Two hours later I had a new, professionally installed downspout tied into my concrete line and a clean out. Bobby was calm, professional, knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend calling Bobby for your exterior plumbing needs.

This was a very nice, and refreshingly positive experience.

I had one of their competitors (Bee’s Plumbing) do some plumbing work the day before. Bee’s Plumbing was very expensive and I felt they lacked initial transparency regarding their costs. That is, they charged me over $300 to ‘find a leak’ and then would not even attempt to repair the leak that day. They said I would have to call them after a contractor repaired some damage. Say what?

Enter O’Neill!!! They showed up the next day and fixed the major water leak under my house that Bee’s made no effort to address. Needless to say, I will have O’Neill Plumbing do some more work for me after my contractor begins work repairing my damaged floor due to said leak.

James and Kyle arrived to install two hot water heaters in my apartment. They worked well together and the heaters were installed quickly and professionally. They were both courteous and explained what they were doing and how long it would probably take. They took care to protect the floors with absorbent padding while they did their work. I had been having problems with my kitchen sink that allowed only a small stream of water out of the faucet that took several minutes to warm up (it was far from the hot water heater). I've had that problem with it for years. James went above and beyond what he was sent there for by looking over the pipes, replacing the hot water intake pipe and soon I had a a gushing hot water flow that takes much less time to heat up. I am so pleased and grateful to O'Neill plumbing and especially James for fixing that problem.

My wife&I are ecstatic by the service and price we received from O'Neill Plumbing on 2/9/16. Plumber Steve G. was highly efficient, communicative, and FAST! He explained each job in detail before starting including giving an approximation of the time involved.
An earlier estimation from another local company was literally three to four times what we paid and, the said, would require lots of reconstruction.
I will recommend O'Neill to all my friends and neighbors for a first class job.

I have been working with O'Neill since mid November. It is now December 5th and our work is not complete but the issue has been identified. They don't call back. Each step of the way has been a complete struggle just to get in touch with anyone. Appointments have been canceled without my knowledge. I have taken time off work to be home for said appointments. I get completely opposite answers to questions from different plumbers. It feels like it is just a call service for plumbers. 3 different plumbers have been out so far. No one communicates back to the office. Every time I have called it has take days to get a call back. Only then after I call again am I getting any help. I would not recommend O'Neill to anyone.

I had O'Neill Plumbing come to my house to re-pipe all of my old galvanized steel pipes and switch over to the new PEX system. Tyler, Mike, and Mikey were great.

Tyler came out and gave a clear straightforward estimate for the work. The crew arrived on time each day and made sure that I had water before they left the first day. Tyler made sure that I understood everything that was in scope for the work, and made sure I had no questions. The guys were respectful and nice. All of the work was quality and they left the site clean when they were done.

I will definitely be calling these guys again for future work.

Plumbers just left my house. I had a leaky faucet and clogged drain. They fixed it quickly, explained everything and were super friendly! Such a good experience!!The scheduling office did not impress me. I called for a weekday appointment on Saturday and the lady on the phone said she'd call me back to finalize a time and never did. On the day of they gave me a two hour window to be home during and didn't call me to tell me the plumbers would be an hour late, even though the plumber had called the office to let them know. Also, and this is a pretty big deal, the office quoted the half hour rate as the hourly rate, so the job was twice as expensive as I'd planned on.

Responsive and quick, showed up early for both the estimate and the repair. Quoted us less than other companies for a hot water heater replacement and were able to fit us in first thing the next morning. They were clean and respectful in our house and followed all Covid safety guidelines. Did a great job in a surprisingly quick time. Couldn’t ask for more, we will definitely be hiring them again

James and Kyle were a wonderfully responsive team! They searched the house for any issues with all my pipes and plumbing. They found an issue that I didn't know existed, a broken drain pipe under my kitchen. They clearly explained what was involved in fixing it. They were responsive and quick.

I also had an additional problem of unknown origin that occurs at night. My house hums intermittently. James really tried to figure it out. He even loaned me a water main key to see if it was changing water pressure during the night.

Tyler Blanchard was awesome - worth the weekend premium rates. He arrived within 30 minutes of my emergency call, did great work at a fair price and had a great attitude. We'll absolutely call O'Neill again.

We hired this plumber to take a look at a small leak under our sink. Unfortunately the plumber did not disclose to us that their work costs $280 an hour fix (higher than the average rate/what we were expecting) so we were hit with an unexpected bill of upwards of $500 to fix this very small leak. In the process of fixing the leak they also broke our facet (which they fixed). The work was fine but the communication about the upfront costs could be improved.

We called O’Neill as a second option after an unsatisfying job by Beacon Plumbing. We are sure glad we did! Nelson was thorough, understood our position, and explained the scope of work to our satisfaction. This was all after Nelson was diverted to our house after explaining our situation to the dispatcher. Nelson was professional, efficient, and sincere in his work. This morning Jeff and Jon came to our home to unclog a shower we couldn't snake successfully. They were on time, professional, courteous , and friendly to our very barky dog :O) After unclogging the first shower, Jeff asked if there were any other issues we wanted them to look at. So, we asked if they would unclog another shower/tub that was draining slowly - all within 30min. I would highly recommend O'Neill Plumbing!

We called O’Neill’s at Midnight and they had a team here the next day to fix our very clogged kitchen sink. A big thanks to Reyde, Farmer and Bobby for jumping in on short notice and clearing our stubborn fat berg. Our sink is finally draining normally again!

This was my 4th time reaching out to O'Neill Plumbing. Old house - lots of issues. Each time has had an agreeable outcome. Today, a new hot water heater was installed by James and Clark. Both were professional and explained all that they were going to do. Pleasant experience.

This company was performing work at my apartment building, in general their crew was professional but they hit my vehicle with one of their trucks and refused to take responsibility. Now I have a dent behind my drivers side rear window. This should have never happened in the first place. What kind of person think it’s ok to park so close to someone you can’t even get into your own vehicle?

I’ve used O’Neill Plumbing for years but something as changed. I called in the evening, as it was an emergency. They advertise emergency service. No emergency service.

The women that answered the phone said she could have my house be the first stop for a plumber (do they only have one????) in the morning, so an 8-8:30 arrival.

At 7am this morning, the plumber called and said “so sorry” I’m not available until 2 in the afternoon or Thursday. Very unprofessional and clearly this business is now poorly run. And NO ENERGENCY SERVICE.

Grateful... I had a slow basement drain and some back up from it when I did my laundry. Burst hose bib stopped Spring yard cleanup. Called O’Neill and they were on-site in under 90 minutes, replacing the hose bib in under an hour, despite the difficulty of working from a crawl space.

Their tech messed up on our install and the owner admitted the mistake, but made me listen to him blow wind for 20 minutes until he finally let me ask for a refund. After the refund, I was told he would not work for me again and that he has been in west seattle for 100 years and knows how to do good business. I was not happy with the work or the customer service.

Visited. Stayed 10 minutes. Charged $150 and claimed they would call when they get the part they would need to fix a leaky faucet (they don't seem to carry parts to fix leaky faucets). Never heard back from them.

Grateful for their expertise and the work they did. Not a single complaint. Thank you so much!

John K and Mike R came and fixed a water flow issue that has been vexing me for months. They were excellent, showing and explaining how things work and how they were fixed. A throughly enjoyable experience.

I was charged $1,000 for 4 hours of work, which is outrageous! The plumber complained the whole time and kept sounding the alarm when he thought he found a problem. We finally asked him to leave. I will never again call this plumber.

We had a water pressure problem and Steve came out and fixed our issue. He had to dig to get to the problem, but through the difficult job, he was courteous, pleasant, and wonderful to have on the job. Thank you!

John and Mike replaced two hose bibs in West Seattle in August and they did an excellent job. Efficient, knowledgeable and friendly, can't ask for more than that.

They came out and serviced our Commercial Building quickly and during a storm. Very happy we called them.

They charged $325. Per hour!

Be prepared for a $70 fee just to investigate.. I called 2 others in the area and NO FEE!
