Best Hvac Repair in Louisville KY

Used these guys twice for minor plumbing repairs - clean clogged drain, installed outside and inside faucets. Both times- great job, knowledgable plumbers, excellent workmanship and reasonable prices.

The technician was professional and courteous. However they charged $200 a pound for the 410 refrigerant! Based on my research that is off the charts! The highest I could find was $175 a pound. The lowest was $75 a pound. I wasn't home so they delt with my wife. I would have sent them on their way and called someone else.

I called Gudorf to help me install an outlet for my microwave. I had a service tech here the next day. Paul was very polite and got right to the job. He new what he was doing. He even helped me install the microwave. I would definitely recommend Gudorf from my experience.

Woke up with 0 hot water and called Becht/Givens at 6am. They had me scheduled for an appointment between 12pm-4pm. They were on time and extremely professional. Kyle was EXTREMELY knowledgeable, and explained everything perfectly. They were on time for the repairs the next day and finished quickly and efficiently. I will never go anywhere else

Tyler Mosby has been my technican twice now in the past few weeks.. He provides the absolute best customer service!! Both times he has been here for these same issues I have been having. He just spent 14 hours repairing everything that needed fixed, making sure I was happy with the work, before he left tonight. And he did it all alone. He consistantly updated me throughout the day , letting me know every step he needed to take. Beyond impressed with his dedication and patience with me and my kiddos. I will definitely recommend Greenwell !!

When we bought our house in J-Town nearly 4 years ago we found out that the addition (added in '2000) had radiant heat. I was, like, AWESOME, because while fan-forced heat is the norm, bare feet on a heated floor is a pretty cool thing, especially in the cooler months.

Fast forward to a few weeks ago when Jim (that's me!) noticed that the floor wasn't warm, even though I'd turned the radiant heat on. Checking the circulation pumps I noticed the one for our bedroom was really but not circulating hot water. This makes for unhappy Jim, because the sole reason I go barefoot in the bedroom (did ya catch that pun?) is that I likes the warm on the feets.

As realization set it, I decided that as much as I could *try* to replace the circulation pumps myself (Jim is a pretty handy guy), but I didn't want to run into something that would have ended up costing me more to fix and if I'd have called an expert in the first place.

To the yellow pages I go (that's purely a figure of speech any more...seriously) to see abut getting the pumps replaced. I started w/Drexler (who replaced our HVAC system a couple years ago). -- They don't do radiant (or, as I've come to learn, Hydronic) heat.

I called Jarboe's -- Nope.
I called Maeser -- Nope.

After a few disappointing phone calls that weren't getting me any closer to warming my feet, I tried a different approach. Instead of calling and trying my luck, I called the local plumbing supply business and asked the question Who in the area services residential hydronic heating?. They had one answer.

Blackburn and Davis was that answer.

I called to see if I could get someone out to fix my cold feet problem and they said they'd give me a call on Monday morning to see when someone would be out. Monday morning I got a phone call and was told they'd be out that morning. Less than an hour later they were at my front door.

I let them in and told them what the problem was and he started to diagnose the issue. In less then 10 minutes he had figured it out, said he had the parts he needed on the truck, and gave me an estimate. A quick call to the wife to let her know what was going on, and they went right to work.

As I watched (I'm an observer, not the hover over a guy and ask a bunch of questions to slow him down kinda guy.) I could tell that he was experienced at replacing these pumps and knew what he was doing.

Remember when I said I thought about buying the pumps and doing it myself? I was about 2/3 of the way correct. One of the bolts from the old pump wouldn't come off, so he had to use a nifty little round electrical hand-held saw to for that part (Jim doesn't have one of those). There were also a couple other parts that were needed that Jim probably didn't have, either.

About 90 minutes later the pumps were replaced, the work area was cleaned up, and Jim's feet were warm again.

I definitely made the right choice in calling Blackburn and Davis.

Just lazy !

I had called them on a weekend to come fix my faucet that connects to my refrigerator. It was leaking into my basement and they sent someone out after I explained what was wrong and that they either needed to cap it off or replace the faucet all together. So the repair man comes out and charges the weekend fee but didn't have the proper equipment to fix it and said he would send someone out to replace it later that week. They sent someone back out 2 days later and he spent 15 minutes and charged me for the parts which were under $20 but charged me the full hour fee...I called to complain that the total time spent on fixing my leak was about 25 minutes total (including the weekend) and that they charged me for the weekend hour and the initial hour during the week and they should have either sent someone the first time to fix it or not charged another hour for work they didn't complete properly the first day. They were to call me back and let me know what they would do about it but needless to say they won't and I ended up spending around 250.00 for something that should have cost me a total of 120.00. I will never use or recommend them to anyone!

Mike was very patient and understanding. We had issues with our warranty claim and so he has to visit twice and then 2nd time around he did an excellent job explaining maintenance and warranty. Definitely would recommend. He was very patient and helpful.

Appreciated Coty’s workmanship & willingness to install the fixtures in my preferred color and especially to update the washing machine shutoff valves from 30 years ago. Good work, cleaned up behind his work. Very pleasant personality. Thanks.

Schardein Mechanical has been very easy to work with and I appreciate their efforts with customer service. They do good work for a fair price. They always go above and beyond to make sure everything is right.

I live in a condominium with a Marley water AC system. The whole building cools from the chilled water of a huge Marley tower. Although several companies would work on Marley systems, ONLY Louisville Mechanical, to the best of my knowledge, will come into a residential Unit and fix a system like this. L.M. will charge a premium price, but it's worth it to have AC/heat. This building must be a thorn in Louisville Mechanical's side, but they don't leave us to the elements. They're like expensive Saints.
