We had our chimney cleaned the day before Thanksgiving, and the chimney guys turned down the temperature on our water heater and forgot to turn it back up. When we got back to town after Thanksgiving, the water wasn't heating. We forgot about the chimney cleaning, and we weren't gone long enough to have turned the water heater down ourselves -- so we called Abbott Brothers to take a look. A repair man came to the door without tools, walked up to the heater, and immediately turned up the temperature dial. He charged $69 for the house call: fair enough, we made a silly mistake, and he's got to make a living. Then he added on $150 for the diagnostic. Driving around town the Monday after a holiday and spending 30 seconds in people's homes turning a dial for $219 is probably a great business model. If you don't care about repeat customers.

As service companies go, Alpha Plumbing is so good that it is probably in a class by itself. I believe the company is family owned and operated. Five brothers have joined forces. Alpha Plumbing was recommended to us by a very particular real estate agent who has used them for years. Alpha Plumbing plumbers come quickly, provide professional help, approach their work scientifically, solve problems, and clean up. We have required their help for sewage backups due to clogging caused by flushed wipes that do not dissolve and for replacement of leaking shutoff valves. As a side benefit, they happily share their expertise while they work.

Personally had my plumbing worked on by the owner, haven't had a problem since. I feel that these guys don't get enough credit and they have always been on standby for me if I ever had a problem or question. Thank You for the dedication and hard work.

So I own a business and I’m on a side street, there was some quote emergency work unquote and the supervisor wouldn’t move a truck to make a one lane in so people could get to my business!! Absolutely horrible attitude, no compassion for a small business trying to make a dollar in the city and instead of explaining himself he would rather laugh at me. They let me though so there definitely was a lane to be open so for the life of me I can’t understand why he wouldn’t open the lane. If you need work I wouldn’t recommend this company find another company that has compassion for the working man!!
