We recently had a plumbing issue which needed to be addressed, but was not urgent. George at Ahoy Plumbing was communicative, timely, and efficient! The quality of work was TOP NOTCH and pricing was fair. Would absolutely recommend!

George was great! Not only did he install the hot water heater that looks great but he also made recommendations about things that may need to be looked at in the future. I will I be using him again for my plumbing needs and definitely referring him to others!

We were referred to George at Ahoy Plumbing to fix our broken kitchen faucet and leaky bathroom plumbing after another local plumber was unresponsive. Ahoy Plumbing turned out to be a great find for our plumbing needs. George responded promptly to our inquiry (within 20 minutes) and was always super professional. He set up a time frame for the estimate, contacted us to let us know he was on his way, showed up on time, and then performed the kitchen job that same day. The following week he returned to fix our bathroom plumbing, which was a more involved job. He quickly evaluated the situation, provided reasonably priced options and never tried to upsell us or suggest fixes we didn’t need. There were no surprises, either. I was really impressed with George’s pleasant demeanor, his ability as a master plumber, and the care he took in respecting our home – he and his apprentice cleaned up after themselves as well! George made sure we were engaged with all decisions and explained everything he and his apprentice were doing. Ahoy’s pricing is fair for our area, and they did an excellent job. George’s customer service skills are outstanding – I felt we were treated honestly and with integrity. We are so happy that we now have a plumber we can trust for any future issues. Recommended wholeheartedly!

Did fantastic job installing new sump pump.

George is attentive, honest, and competent. What more could you ask for? And yet, it feels like George goes above and beyond. When I reached George, he was on vacation but insisted on listening to my problem so that he could offer an initial guesstimate of the issue and of the cost to repair. On the day of service, he was thorough to confirm his diagnosis and generous in explaining what was going on, why it was problematic, and what steps I could take preventatively once he implemented the fix. When a part arrived late, he communicated pro-actively and rescheduled for the next day (on the weekend no less, even though it was not an emergency circumstance). I could not be happier with my experience.

Update 2022: Another great experience. George was on time and very respectful of our home. Cleaned our tankless water heater and did our backflow testing for Anne Arundel County.

Update 2023: George is an amazing plumber. In addition to our annual services, he cleared our kids sink and pulled out an old hair band. George always offers to show us how we can perform things ourself for next time to save money.

George came by our house to fix damaged angle stops that we discovered just after we moved in. He gave us a free estimate, so that we had no surprises when the bill was due. He performed the work professionally, and even replaced a leaky toilet supply line that he noticed for free! To top it all off, he thoroughly and patiently answered all of my plumbing-related questions (as a new homeowner, this is very valuable!). I highly recommend Ahoy Plumbing to everyone.

Called with a plumbing emergency on at 9:30 on a Saturday morning. George was at our house by 10:15 and resolved our problem very quickly. His pricing is very fair and gave us awesome service. We will definitely use him for all our future plumbing needs.

Called George for an emergency concerning a broken sump pump, and got an answer despite it being on a Sunday night.

Had an appointment scheduled next day and the service was spectacular. I got a full sump pump and battery backup replacement and installation done not only on short notice but also for a very reasonable price.

He PATIENTLY cooperated completing an exceptionally detailed and frustrating online questionnaire obtaining authorization from my home warranty company.This allowed me to recoup via reimbursement all but my $60 copay of the total charges. After a major plumbing company cancelled on me three days in a row and then stopped responding.

I reached out to Ahoy Plumbing and spoke with George. Unlike the heartless and disrespectful big name plumbing company, George treated me with respect, empathy, and was understanding of my time and emotional well-being due to having had no kitchen or floors in most of my home for almost a month due to an as yet unidentified water source.

George arrived exactly when he promised, didn't ask me for a dime to determine the source of the water leak(because the walls around the problem area had already been removed), and was prompt with his work and complete diagnosis. When he gave me the quote to address the leak, repair, and restore full function to my plumbing, he broke down the bill for me by item so that I could understand exactly what was being done.

He told me when he would return to complete his work. As before he arrived exactly when he promised and was communicative by phone in order to confirm that I would be available during his arrival window.

There is not a negative thing I can say about Ahoy Plumbing. Timely, efficient, polite, and productive. All the things I value when a company comes into my living environment to address an issue I just can't handle.

The initial contact the company was very friendly by voice and text. An earlier competitor I called only did email and phone no text. And quotes were very high from first place I called.

Ahoy Plumbing was prompt, identified and explained some issues we had not noticed, and took care of a dozen repairs and replacements on a 20 year old house (we bought and just moved into the house 3 weeks ago). Explained how to use our water softener as a bonus. George and his helper wore plastic booties to protect our floor. George is a master plumber with great attention to detail, and very careful to triple checks all his work, and gave us excellent part recommendations and used parts where some might replace a whole fixture. I cannot say in my 40 years of hiring plumbers did I ever find one this good and friendly and affordable.

The owner/installer took my phone call, scheduled an appointment, discussed product&pricing prior to coming to my home. He arrive exactly on time that was scheduled, he was professional, he introduced himself, explained all he had to do prior to beginning the job. He was neat, clean. He answered all questions I had. He had much knowledge in the plumbing profession, I felt confident in his work. He displayed and ensured me he will make sure the job is done correctly and stated for me to contact him if after the job was completed there is a 3 year warranty on my recently purchased product, which is a major plus for me. He then gave me his business card if I should have any problems. I feel he took the time to do everything necessary to make the services he rendered very satisfactory. George is extremely professional and reliable. He helped us get a gas line for our house (built in 1907) up to code. He also helped install our new oven to the updated gas line. Scheduling was easy, he arrived promptly, and worked efficiently. George was the absolute best. He used the rear entrance as safety measures during the pandemic, came masked and on time. He is skilled and professional as a Master plumber. George with Ahoy Plumbing was fantastic. I called 5 different plumbers that a found online, and George was the most responsive and communicated better than all the others plumbers I called. He was busy with other jobs, but it wasn’t an emergency so I didn’t have a problem waiting for him to come out the following week. On the day he came to fix my plumbing problem, he texted me to let me know he was on his way and arrived 10 minutes earlier than the scheduled time. Originally he had estimated about an hour to replace my main water shutoff, but he actually finished the work in about 35 minutes which included cutting through an access panel which was not originally anticipated. His finished work looked very clean including the cut he had to make in the panel. He was extremely polite and professional during the time he was fixing our plumbing issue. I highly recommend him to anyone.

Honest and reliable service!

My main water pipe of my house had a bad leak and it was racking up my water bills terribly; the water meter was spinning like it was running a marathon. Ahoy Plumbing was able to find the leak, replaced the main water pipe, the other leaking pipe inside the house and anything else that I needed done for great price. George and his crew did an amazing job, very professional, friendly, very detailed, provided outstanding customer service and expertly knowledgeable of their work. They were able to finish in one day and an outstanding clean up. George also provided me with other contacts such as for concrete work. I recommend Ahoy Plumbing because they did an Awesome job; I will be definitely calling this company for any future plumbing issues. 😀

George came to my home this morning to repair my leaky faucet, he was actually able to make it earlier than our appointment which freed up the rest of my afternoon. He was professional and informative as he walked me thru my basement to show me where important valves and electrical fuses were (not even part of the appointment). He was able to repair my leak and installed a new faucet, which was something that other plumbers found excuse after excuse not to do. I will use his services again and would recommend anyone else that's not trying to use the bigger companies to check him out!

We had a leak coming from our water heater and I called and George answered right away and scheduled with me to come out the same day. He inspected the water heater went out to get the new parts and came back and fixed even more than what was requested to make sure everything was going to work properly and not have the issue in the future. He didn’t try to sell us on replacing the whole system or try to get us to get extra parts or services not needed. He was honest and gave us a fair price!
