Unclogged storm drain that was letting water leak into my basement. Fixed in under a hour. Very respectful technician Tommy Bond. Will be using roto-rooter for any future problems!!!

A child in my daycare clogged the toilet with a wood toy. Technician Maung # 4811 came in explained every option before he started- which was great because I got to choose what was more cost effective. To make a lone story short, he pulled a few tricks so I wouldn’t have to replace the whole toilet, I stayed within my budget! That’s a winning!

Same day service provided. The Techs were prompt and thorough by explaining options with associated cost. He also had a trainee so they both delivered excellent service.

The pipe leading from the sump to the outside drain field was blocked causing water to back flow into the foundation. Desmond understood the problem quickly and was able to unclog the drain pipes. He answered every question I had and help me understand why replacing vs doing a quick fix to my water heater was the better option. He allowed me to weigh my options and do my own googling to make a informed decision. Most repairmen make you feel pressured or you feel like they are trying to up sell you. But not him he understood it was a big purchase and I had to make a decision. Which I felt confident making thanks to his patience.

We had a basement flood resulting from a sudden rain downpour. I called roto rooter.. and within a couple hours our professional was at my home. He was courteous, calm and competent. He assessed our problem, which he could not fix though he tried. He was able to see our flood was caused by a mud filled French drain, which will require major repairs, beyond a technician visit. He did what he could, helped problem solve for a creative solution for us, and only charged us for his time.

Frankly, I did not have high expectations. But I couldn’t believe how quickly Roto Rooter responded. We had a sewer backup. Min, the tech who came, was absolutely awesome. He went right to work, explained what he was doing and spent a bunch of time helping us understanding how to prevent this problem in the future. He also filed paperwork with WSSC, our water and sewer company because the problem was on their end not on our property. Great experience with these folks, highly recommend.

Our main sewage line got a backed up called RotoRooter and they send out a plumber within an hour. Our plumber was on time and professional. He explained the issue and after a camera scope we unfortunately needed the outdoor and indoor pipes replaced. RotoRooter came out the next day (Friday)and excavated and replaced our pipes. They excavation team did a great job and cleaned up our front yard nicely.
Our plumber came back first thing Monday and replaced our indoor pipe and related pipes associated with our main plumbing. He even went the extra step and replaced the trap by our sanitary tub (we had not noticed a small leak). Overall, Mr. Khaing and his partner were so courteous and professional. They did a great job removing (cast iron) pipes and installing our new pipes. The cost for the whole ordeal was reasonable. We will be using RotoRooter in the future and will be requesting Mr. Khaing.

We requested the same plumber (Min) who had worked on our home previously. He is friendly, courteous and professional. We had some concerns about cosmetic issues with his proposed fix, and he addressed them well.

He did a good job overall, and he gave guidance on where important valves are in our home and pointed out minor problems that should eventually be addressed for maintenance.

We will request him again for future plumbing issues.

I will never call Roto- Rooter again for anything. I had an issue that needed attention they sent out a technician who from my perspective was highly unmotivated and not willing to perform the tasks I needed done. He spent more time telling me how much work it would be instead of getting to work after I assured him money was no issue. To me he was unwilling to take on an assignment that he deemed time consuming. His body language indicated that he didn't want to work there for he was paid for showing and told to leave my house. I found another reliable, courteous company who completed the job the next day without question!

Accidentally shot a nail gun into the main water line while trying to frame a wall to the joists obviously causing a huge issue as water poured into our basement. It was a weekend so no plumbers were answering but fortunately Joseph 5423 was able to come and fix the problem very fast on a weekend. The issue wasn't resolved one problem lead to more problems and money.

My sink is still clogged after a week i bave been lead on to believe it will be fixed also that eoto rootwr will be drilling a hile in wall to get to the problem but doesn't repair damage 😕 . That they caused.

Chan was awesome! He replaced an outside faucet and added a lever valve shut off valve. Plus he replaced the out of code ice maker water line connection, added a shut off valve there and drilled new holes through joists and floor in order to get our new fridge a water line connection. Chan is hard working and professional and I will not hesitate to call Roto-Rooter in the future for any future plumbing issues. The technician was superb, very professional and thorough. . He cleaned up the area as well. My issue is the outrageous fee for a simple outdoor drain unclogged that took 30 minutes. The initial fee ( set by RR owner -- not technician) was $700 then after I balked was reduced to $450 for 30 minute job. Just abusive!!!!

The plumber shows up late and tells me that my kitchen sink is backup ( that's what I called him for ) but anyway he tell me it is going to cost me $685.00 to fix it. No thank you it is about 20 long pipe if that to run a snake through again NO THANK YOU!!!

Great work! The two associates were highly professional, well dressed, and respectful of my home. No time was wasted, although i think the central coordinator did them an injustice by calling 30 minutes prior when they were 60 minutes out. The price was a bit steep (I had an RO system installed) but i decided to go for it, knowing that these folks will take care of the work and go all the way. And they certainly did, i had a few issues that they addressed and went out of their way to make sure it was properly functioning. All in all, two hours of work that was 100% worth it!

Our storm drain was not draining properly so after yesterday’s thunderstorm, we had water leak into our basement. Mr Chal came at the scheduled time and spent two hours trying to unclog the drain. He was able to find the end of the pipe hidden in the grass and advised me how to keep it clear so that this doesn’t happen again. He also pointed out problems with our gutters and how to remedy them. I am so relieved to know that this problem is fixed. They are calling for rain most of next week and now I don’t have to worry. Nick Barker was assigned to my home by Roto Rooter to assess a plumbing problem in my basement. He came within 1 hour, and was very professional from start to finish. He took his time to discover the issue, and explained how this occurred from an outside issue. I have used Roto Rooter in the past for my sump pump, and if necessary in the future, I will use them again.

Roto Rooter took our situation with a stuck, partially blind squirrel that could not get out of our sump pump pipe seriously. She was scared by something and got stuck going in deep. The technician saw her and then weighed his options. She was blocking the way for any water to get out. He used his snake tool without the blades on the end to push through the drain. We saw the snake appear at the end but not her until suddenly a muddy little critter came streaking out like lightning. He happily removed her without any further damage to animal, pipe or pump. We can't thank them enough for helping us when another service wouldn't even return our calls on the weekend. Thank you, Kenny, our hero! :-)

We had thunderstorms in the area and the sump pump stopped working properly. With all of the rain in the area we were worried about the water backing up in the basement. My service rep spent the better part of an afternoon into the evening snaking 75 feet of a sewer line after a major backup. The house is old and the main access to the line was inoperable. I called 3 different plumbing companies. And RotorRooter was very prompt, and the service tech, Maung Khaing, identified the problem immediately. Usually I'm a diy person. But in this case, I was more than willing to pay the higher quoted fee of $815 to fix the clogged main sewer line. In addition, he cleaned out the drain in my shower from where water had backed up there too, and changed out a plug in my sink.
I do believe the rate was a high but I appreciate a friendly quick service instead of being put on hold, changing arrival times, or a don't care attitude that I received from the other 2 companies. Thanks for getting a job done competently!
Update.. Another employee came thru on 3/17/21. Checked my drains and suggested I finance $7500 to install a main sewer line so Baltimore city can access their line to clean the City's pipes. I laughed it was so ridiculous! A main sewer line cleaning once a year comes to $100. Then he made it clear he would not redo the Caulk that was applied to the bottom of the toilet even though it camethat way when i bought the house and the other plumber reapplied it. Some service! Basically if you can, go to Home depot & rent their machine @ the most is $100, take a class to install and remove toilets, and clean your own sewer line if you have to go through a basement toilet like mine.

I had dealt with a slow running kitchen drain for a while. My own attempts to solve the problem did not succeed. My son suggested Roto-Rooter. Of course I had heard of their business but never used their services. I called and they were at my house in a few hours. My plumber, Jeff, was very efficient and told me what he expected he would have to do to fix the problem. There were no surprises. Jeff was friendly and took Covid precautions. When he left, the only sign that he had been there was a kitchen sink that was properly draining again.

Roto Rooter provided great service to me on both October 16 and 17. On October 16, Plumber William came out and worked for at least 2.5 hours to clear the drain. He didn't have any luck but scheduled for another Plumber to come out on October 17. On October 17, Plumber Dama came out and cleared the drain. Both plumbers were professional, wore their masks, and kept me up with their progress. They even cleaned up after they were finished. A great job by Roto-Rooter, even the person that answered the phone on October 17 was nice. A GREAT experience. Will use them again.
