Best Slab Leak Repair in Austin TX

Professional, polite service tech. Gave an accurate cost estimate and asked for my approval before starting work. No extra fees or costs when the work was done. S & D Plumbing has high ethical standards and Chris, their tech, lived up to that standard. This is the second time I have used S & D. I have been pleased with their work both times.

Last week a plumber from Clarke Kent came out, and I had a frustrating experience. I emailed the company over the weekend to express that the repair hadn't gone as I expected. At 8am on Monday, I received a call from the office that they wanted to send someone out immediately to replace the part that I didn't like. Wow. Great customer service. The fastest response times of several plumbers I called, and after this resolution to the issue I had with them, I'll never go anywhere else for plumbing.

This has to be my best experience with an in-home contractor in the 12 years that I’ve lived in Austin. The two gentlemen showed up to do a hot water heater inspection, and I could immediately tell that they were professional and knowledgeable. So much was their initial impression on me, that I did the thing that all contractors hate and I started adding on other projects. They came for a water heater installation and then I added on a toilet and garbage disposal install and a buried outdoor plumbing repair. They came back a day later and completed all four projects, even though it went from 9AM to 6:30 PM. They worked hard all day and finished a few complex issues without any hint of delay or irritation. Really unusually great service. Bravo

We recently replaced our HVAC and all ducting, etc. Radiant, to a person, we’re great to work with. Professional, helpful, knowledgeable, respectful, and every one made sure the work area and surroundings were cleaned up. From Staton, to John Paul….literally everyone involved and I wish I could name them all, were a pleasure to work with. I get a call from my tenant, water is filling up the tub and sinks. First thought, clogged. So I call CHOICE HOME WARRANTY to handle. First mistake. They couldn’t get anyone out until the following week. No water throughout the house and choice thinks a week to wait is appropriate.So I called these guys and they were out to the house the next day. $100 fee to go out there, $900 to fix, I was thankful they were there but the cost alone was a red flag. 3 stars for the attempt though, no five stars because I don’t know if they were that good, I couldn’t make it past being raked over the coals on price here.Had I spent $1k on this and no new toilet, it would have bought these guys a 1 star rating after finding out I overpaid by a lot. But shop around, you’ll be surprised how much you can save. Good luck.Update:Elton from the company called. He was pretty concerned they didn’t do what I expected from the company.I can tell these guys are trying. Just when I thought no one puts the customer first anymore, Daniel and Elton stepped up with one phone call. They wanted to refund my service fee, I said no man, keep it, the call alone is worth it. Besides I saved a lot with the other guys, so no harm no foul.

The two gentlemen that repaired our garbage disposal and kitchen pipes were timely, professional, and helpful--they explained what the issues were, what they were going to do and why, and were glad to answer any questions we had. Much appreciation for a great experience!

Alex Castillo was prompt, informative, friendly, and he removed an obsolete heat recovery unit that had sprung a leak in the freezing temperatures. He clearly explained what he was doing, and volunteered this bit of extra work that he performed promptly.

tl;dr: great work, good prices, versatile - highly recommendedWe had a leak in our garage and water in our water heater pan. Unfortunately they were not related, it turns out we had a leak in our laundry pipes and our 18-year old water heater was giving up the ghost.We called our regular plumber but he was unavailable, so we called the references he gave us as well as some companies off Yelp like Thunderbird plumbing. Ted from Thunderbird seemed the most knowledgeable and trustworthy (according to Hope, who used to work with a lot of subs as an architect and a construction project manager), and surprisingly enough also had the cheapest estimate. (Some plumbers wouldn’t even do all the work we wanted, like installing a pressure relief valve).A few days later Ted came to do all the work, and it seems to be done really well. He even replaced our main water shutoff valve without charging us more than his original estimate.All in all, a great experience, well worth a 5-star rating.

Very friendly and fast but both leaks they fixed had to be refixed. This took more time, more huge water bill, and more inconvenience of having no water at the house. Very high price after initial lower quote. We ended up having to trench the yard ourselves to physically find the problem. Plumbers aren't diggers! We learned all this the hard way and are grateful they refixed their work but have a hard time trusting it now.

They did all the plumbing, electric and HVAC work for my store. Great people and a job well done.

I've used Johnny Rooter for both fixing clogged drains and general plumbing work, and was very pleased with their craftsmen and the ease of getting the work scheduled.

JP was very knowledgeable and came back a second time without a charge to clean out a different line that was affected by the first clean out.

This is an overdue review for a yard leak repair back in January. Dustin & Jacob showed up on time and quickly located the underground leak. They repaired it with a minimum of fuss and were efficient and courteous. Although plumbing repairs are never cheap, the guys were clear on the pricing and I felt it was reasonable . I would definitely recommend Plumb Quick as a very good local company who are responsive and conscientious

Our technician was Rudy. He arrived on time with a face mask and shoe covers already in place. He assessed our air conditioning unit as requested. Rudy discussed his findings and made suggestions. Rudy took time to discuss the options with us and helped us to decide on a price we could afford. He performed the agreed upon services very well. Throughout the visit, Rudy was upbeat and friendly, but also understanding of our concerns. We appreciated his friendliness, professionalism and hard work.

Chris Rios came today to check out our strange heater dust mystery. He was great and thorough. Five stars!

0 starsWe sent an email (below) to O&M, got a call from the owner who said that isn’t their policy / procedure and that he stands by his plumbers and their reporting and we got what we paid for so it didn’t matter wether he was correct or not.This is at the exact same time another company is fixing the problem they said did not exist, while telling me a scratch in the PVC pipe from the toilet needed to be jackhammered out to replace. I could see it was just a scratch, and told him I think there is a break under the carport as the pier repair is in line with the clean out, he said no (that was the problem). I’ve worked with many plumbers in Austin, only used this company as referred by the foundation company for testing. Not only will they take days to find the issue, they will not find the issue and cherry on top you will get awful customer service from the owner even when you send him a report verifying everything you’re telling him is true and his plumbers were dead wrong.I’ve had my fair share of bad plumbers from home remodels and Restaurant repairs but these guys take the cake for worst plumbers ever. Run for the hills with O&M!For leaks or hydrostatic testing - Austin Leak & Line found the issue in an hour, extremely professional and got the job done right for less cost then O&M.Hello,I wanted to let you know that your plumbers couldn’t have been more wrong on the foundation report.The good news is we could tell that they did not know what they were doing, and the recommendation to jackhammer the bathroom toilet for a scratch in the pvc was way off base. Luckily I was there to watch them or I would have just gone with that determination.See report attached from company that I immediately contracted for a second opinion, they found the break in the line near the foundation repair (which I hinted to your plumber it would be) in less then an hour.Honestly think you should give me a full refund for money and the amount of my time wasted from plumbers not knowing how to properly use equipment. Y’all need new plumbers stat!I’ll also be letting bats know they should not refer your company to future customers for this test.
