William came out after hours and in about an hour after calling and knew the issue immediately. 10 or 15 minutes later we had cold air again. He is extremely polite, fast, and professional. A word of warning to my neighbors.My experience with Austin Plumbing has been terrible. First......they put in a natural gas heater in a house fitted for propane. I found out after that it was downright dangerous and a code violation. That was in August last year. Second.....this February I called them because hot water stopped again. No response. So I called Cold Is On The Right Plumbing who came over immediately and diagnosed the problem. But they kindly referred me back to the original company since the heater was still under warranty. But.....Austin Plumbing just asked me to contact the manufacturer myself. So I was forced to hire Cold Is On The Right to remedy the situation.....which they did.I am disappointed with Austin Plumbing, not so much for the initial mistake made but for not being upright and forthcoming about it. Without honesty and accountability nothing else matters.

Jonas was knowledgeable about fixing the toilets , explained the problems and did a thorough job. I was satisfied.

I have used Fox for A/C installation and repair in the past with fair prices and great results. But now I just received a A/C repair estimate for $5750 for a repair that should cost less than 1/3 of that! Not using them again.

Tim was a god send. He was very professional. He was able to troubleshoot and repair our issues quickly. Tim completely explained everything he needed to do to resolve our issue before he started and the price was very reasonable. When Tim was done he cleaned up thoroughly. SCAM ALERT!!After being quoted $80x2 on the phone, they sent a tech out and had my tenant sign for $500 for 30 minutes of his time. They called me for payment and I didn't know the price changed until I looked on my bank statement.Called the office, they said this is common and the person that handles this type of thing was out till 'next week'It's been a few weeks nowBe very careful of this company

First, I would like to say that I would recommend Efficient for anyone who is having a new AC system installed. They installed my inside/outside combo unit quickly and did a great job, at what I feel is a fair price, which is why I gave 2 stars instead of 1. It is post install where you should look elsewhere, and why I took 3 stars off my review.I called Efficient because the same unit they installed stopped blowing cold air. The tech charged a $99 diagnostic fee, which I understand. This is pretty normal. Then he told me he needed to replace a capacitor (which was covered by warranty) and the labor would be $360. I told him to go ahead, having no idea how long that would take. Almost exactly 15 minutes later the tech calls me saying he is done, and needs my credit card info. 15 MINUTES later...I asked why $360 if it only took 15 minutes, and he told me they work off a flat rate, not hourly. This is where I have an issue. If this job had taken 2-3 hours, I would get that rate. But charging customers $360 for a 15 minute repair is outrageous.I also get that it was an after hours repair, which has a higher charge. And I am fine with paying a premium for service on the weekend. But this is beyond any reasonable price in my opinion. Even during regular hours the tech said it would be $240 for the same job. That is still $960/hr., which is an extremely terrible value.They say they use a rate to keep prices consistent for all of their customers, but that doesn't add up. The charge to me works out to $1,440 /hr. Someone who has a 3 hour repair would pay $120/hr. So how exactly does that make it consistent for all customers? All this shows me is that the price is consistently horrible for any customers with a quick repair. So in conclusion, this was probably the least value of any service I have ever received.

Citywide was able to provide same-day service (a longshot in Texas summers), communicated clearly the expected time window and showed up when they said they would. Jake and his partner immediately identified the issue and moved to resolve it with no double talk or upselling. Completed the job and a visual inspection quickly, talked me through my issue, gave some great maintenance advice -- all at a reasonable price. Citywide is my new go-to for not only HVAC, but any home service issue I encounter. Highly recommended.
