This was the annual check up on all my plumbing and draining the hot water heater. Jared was wonderful. He’s a very polite young man. Willing and completely answered every question and performed my service in a very timely manner. I have used this company for years and have always been impressed with their employees and service. Our Water softener went bad. The first guy arrived within a couple hours to verify and set up a replacement with great financing. The appointment was set for tuesday at 9am. Jared arrived at 8:30. He had everything he needed for the job without having to go any farther than his truck. He had to re-pipe the whole affair as the new softener was taller than the old one. All work is very professional and very concise to the area. Jared set up the softener and made sure everything was working before he left. Good guy great work and service.

Jared came quickly and inspected the issues. My almost new kitchen faucet needed a minor fix and he gave me an estimate to replace it for some $750. I happily gave him his $99 service fee and fixed the issue myself in $20. It was a pain for couple of hrs but definitely worth it.

The tech came quickly and did a good job with inspecting and diagnosing the problem with my shower. He then gave me an estimate about three times what I thought was a fair price. To make it look acceptable by comparison he supplied two more estimates for a greater scope of work than I needed, also 3x inflated but for 2x the work, so $800 for work I had hoped to pay maybe $70 in labor and $60 in parts. I gladly ave him his $60 diagnostic fee and did the work myself.In short, good competent professionals, unscrupulous business model.

Benjamin Franklin Plumbing called me at 8:00 in the morning and were here with 30 minutes of the discussion. They were able to remove and replace two hot water heaters in the day, within the timeframe that I needed the work done. It was easy and they did a great job.

I was offered a “cash discount” for services, and told I would be charged a “convenience fee” if I opted to use any type of credit card or debit card. To my knowledge this is not legal, you can not pass on credit card fees to the customer. The only thing you can offer is a cash discount. A customer can not be punished for using a credit card by a store, we already pay fees on credit cards. If you don’t want to take credit cards then don’t offer the service. Once I pulled out my check book there was no discount!!! They said the regular price was the cash discount?!?!? Indeed not a discount. This was my quoted price when I called. Proof again that they are illegally adding fees to people using credit cards. I did NOT get the repair because of the hidden fees! I paid the service call only and had the repairman leave.

We are very pleased with Benjamin Franklin Plumbing. John was very persistent in locating the source of our water temperature and pressure problems. He assured us he would not leave without making sure our issues were solved. And thank goodness we finally have hot water again. I’ll definitely call Benjamin Franklin again in the future for any plumbing problems!

Work was completed in a timely manner and the company responded fast. However, the price for the work was insanely overpriced. I was charged 720 for a “full repair”. Afterwards I priced out the same work and was quoted labor/parts would cost 400 max.Moreover, the angular turnoff valve was left damaged.
