The Hope plumbers were excellent as usual. They were prompt, they quickly diagnosed the issue, they didn’t try to sell me on a bunch of stuff I didn’t want, and they finished the job efficiently. They were polite and clear in all their explanations. I highly recommend Hope Plumbing!

By far the best experience I have ever had with a plumbing company!!! Called them first thing this morning and they fit me into their schedule same day for completing a new plumbing system and garbage disposal/faucet for kitchen sink. Very professional, courteous and knowledgeable! I highly recommend!!!!

The technician was on time, very friendly and professional. He explained that the stem coming into the shower couldn't be found and he wouldn't I was asking him to replace couldn't be found and since we weren't quite ready to start that project without getting a couple of different estimates that we would not be going forward now. He waived the service call which I greatly appreciated.

Terrible ripoff

Plumber was very nice and efficient. He fixed a leaky toilet. and instead of jumping straight to a standard fix that costs $500, he actually took time to really diagnose the problem and was able to find a better, cheaper solution! The honesty was greatly appreciated and saved me a lot of money. Thanks Larry!!

I called asking for a quote and they said they do not send someone out for an estimate for a job if I may have asked another company for a quote. Who else only looks at ONE company and hires them immediately?? Its ridiculous! It sounds like they do not understand how a business works and how its normal to ask about pricing before agreeing to a job!

Responsive, friendly, on time. Explains things so anyone can understand the process. I had to add different projects last minute and they accommodated no questions ask.

I just got off the phone with these guys. INCREDIBLY RUDE! All I need is a garbage disposal fix. They refuse to come look at it. He tells me I need to figure out if it needs to be fully replaced before they'll even show up, and commit to a much higher price. Worst customer service ever.

RESPONSE TO OWNER: That's not how the conversation went at all. You desperately need to work on your communication skills. I would have agreed to that pricing if you just gave me a chance. I simply didn't know if it needs to be replaced or not. Because I could not determine that on my own, you refused to come to my house and even look at it. I never once asked for a free estimate. I didn't hang up on you, the conversation simply ended and I told you with the way you behaved that you have lost my business. I heard your final words, but that doesn't mean much with the way you talked down to me, and treated me.

Chawng was our technician and he was very helpful. He took the time to explain what the issue was to me as well as how to help prevent it in the future. We had out estimate/diagnosis and resolution all in a matter of couple hours.

I WOULD HAVE LOST $2500 IF I USED YOU. I don’t normally mess with reviews. But, if this saves another homeowner thousands or helps to change your business practices then good. Don’t reply and say my name isn’t in your system. My wife scheduled the job. I can post it under her name or a photo of the payment/refund if needed. My main water line was leaking out front by the meter. My wife helped me out and got your company; Plumb Doctor. They came over and told her it would be $2500 minimum because it needed dug. I didn’t speak with them but at that price I assumed the line needed replaced. (We paid upfront and got a refund later). I called the day of job to check in and after a short conversation with your manager I realized you were hand digging and patching the line for $2500. (Didn’t seem right). I complained and your manager came out to my home and stated all his digging jobs start at $2500. I replied if this job took 8 hours that would still be over $300/hr labor rate. He replied by saying in short that’s what they charge and asked if I knew anything about business and profit? (Business must be great if you have work). The manager also stated he recently took a class regarding easements and responsibility when it comes to a main line leak. He affirmed with 100% certainty that the water line between the street and meter (Citizens Energy’s line) was the sole responsibility of homeowner. My water meter was not registering the leak. It doesn’t take a class to know most homeowners wouldn’t fix their main line leaks if they still had water and it wasn’t costing them. I had too many questions so I sent you home (because I knew you were wrong) and had an independent 40+ year experienced plumber come out on a Saturday. In 5 minutes he said Citizens line is leaking and gave me the code and everything from memory that said it’s the utilities companies responsibility to repair. I called Citizens, they came out, and had it fixed (at their expense) 2 days later. This entire picture looks like PLUMB DOCTOR was trying to rip off a woman (my wife) or it was just a complete lack of being a knowledgeable/reputable plumbing company. Rudy (the initial plumber) was very courteous and professional. If I knew how to run a business as good as yours (that was a joke) I would hire him. I would literally be out $2500 if I listened to your manager Stephen in charge. Might stick to fixing toilets. Thanks.

Saturday afternoon had to call bc there was something wrong somewhere. Your guy Daniel was out super quick, listened to our problem, and went to work immediately to get us all fixed up. Daniel was super nice and got us back on track only a few hours after our initial call. Very reasonable price for the work, especially being on a weekend. Gave us info on maintenance and options for other services if/when we ever need them. Thank you so much Acme and thank you so much Daniel!!

I have used Hamm & Sons a few times. The service has always been great and the prices have been reasonable. It is very scary when you need plumbing work done. It is usually an emergency. I will continue to use Hamm & Sons.

I was pleased with Daniel and his helper. They were very friendly, and explained what they were doing and problem with tree roots in sewer line. They cleared the clog, and explained that the clay tile should be replaced to eliminate problem. SM

This one-star review is based solely upon the unresponsiveness and deceit of the co-owner of the company, Chase. It is not an indictment against any other employees, and in fact, Andrew was very respectful and I wish him the best.The first day, everything went great. We had a piping repair done, and had our water heater replaced and a water softener installed, and everything was nearly completed the first day. And that's when Chase went off the grid, and would only respond to me when I threatened to leave a bad review of the company. He deceived me about shipping me a product I was owed for MONTHS, and when I finally confronted it with him head on, he couldn't offer a valid explanation. In addition, it took hounding to get him to come back out and insulate the water softener pipes that he didn't have insulation for the day of the install (which he assured me on Day 1 he'd be back soon to take care of)In addition, he doesn't stand behind his work. He installed heat tape around a pipe that was freezing up and told me to seal the drywall up (and told me he'd give me a recommendation for a drywaller on Day 1, which I asked him for several times and he finally said he didn't have). I did so, and in less than a year, the pipe had frozen again. He had installed it into a HEATIT Thermostatically Controlled Outlet, which I didn't think anything of because I'm not a plumber...until the first freeze when the water overflowed down my replaced drywall and flooded my laundry room floor. After thinking about it, that was a faulty install, because it was on the outside of the drywall he told me to replace, and the heat tape was on the inside where it was much colder than room temperature (so the heat tape wasn't kicking on because it was plugged into the outlet, which was reading room temperature). So I took out the outlet and began plugging the heat tape in in advance during below freezing days when I needed to do laundry. Eventually, it overflowed again and he sent Andrew out. I told Andrew I didn't want to pay to repair the drywall again because it had to be done at an angle and cost $200, and there was clearly an issue with the install due to repeat freezing, and Andrew called Chase to address how to proceed. Chase told Andrew that he told me I wasn't supposed to seal the drywall up, which is not only false, but would make no sense because I'd have a draft coming into my house. The conversation escalated when he said he couldn't be held liable for drywall work around a frozen pipe off a garage, because my laundry room is on the opposite side of the house, connected to my kitchen. It's not in some unheated area, which he was implying. And when I told him so and asked him if he'd like to speak to Andrew to confirm it, he said he didn't appreciate my tone. So I gave him a piece of my mind and told him I'd leave the rest of what I had to say in a review of the business. And that's the reason for this one-star review.
