I had a leak under my kitchen sink and the sink wouldn't hold water. Big Frog came out bright and early. They found the source of the leak, fixed it, put in a new basket strainer and a new disposal. My cast iron sink needed an overhaul and BigFrog did it.

Called to get quote for installing dishwasher apparently they don't do that. Asked what the charge is for installing kitchen faucet, they don't have clue. Asked what the charge is for Outdoor Faucet Sillcock install they don't have a clue. Only answer gave me there is $79 diagnostics charge to come out and look at the faucet! Really? Plumbing company that don't know how much would it cost to install simple kitchen faucet?!

Overpriced, Unprepared, Bad Service, and Threatening

Before you think I am a hothead, read this: I called Gordon hoping for a more personal touch and maybe a less expensive bill than a larger brand company. Had a busted garbage disposal and a leak under the kitchen sink. I told the receptionist what I needed and asked about getting my own garbage disposal and having their plumber install it. She said , “You can do that but you’ll be charged $100 for the installation. I assumed that letting them install their own disposal unit might include a lower labor cost but did not ask. I did ask if their plumber would have a garbage disposal with him and was told, yes, he would.

Our plumber arrived. He checked under the sink and said he couldn’t find a leak, but there was an open pipe connection with dried material around the opening suggesting it was the source. He could not tell where the pipe came from given som extra lines from an old ice machine (not working or turned on). I asked him to plug the opening. He said he couldn’t because he didn’t have the right materials! He told me it was easy and I could just go to Lowe’s and do it myself. (Um, that’s why I called you.) So I asked him to replace the disposal. He told me he did NOT have one on the truck and had to go to a store and buy it. He returns with an expensive unit plus mark up, installs it, and shows me a bill for about $530 explaining that he had bought the brand that matched the broken unit and then billed me for the time he went shopping. That’s over 2 hours for labor and a bill of $530 for a garbage disposal! (Checking the leak took less than 10 minutes.) So I asked him to call his supervisor. He called and they did cut the bill but only around $75 and only after extended haggling. While on the phone, he makes this comment to his supervisor so I can hear him, “I’m not sure I’m gonna take any more of this”....as if he was thinking about getting physical. Like I had no right to challenge an outrageous bill. Don’t get me wrong I was not happy, but I was not threatening in any way. They got my money. I wouldn’t give him yours.

Great bunch of guys. Reliable dependable and great service. They are not cheap, but you get plenty of value in peace of mind and having quality parts and knowledgeable friendly people you can rely on.

Prices are always fair, techs and customer service is always respectful and understanding they come out “Quick” hints the name and also provide advice on any other issues unseen by customers.

Harry from Howald Plumbing came out last Wednesday to repair a dripping bath tub faucet. He did a great job. A week later and not a single leak or drip. He was very professional and even cleaned up when he was done. I had several other quotes for the repair and Howald not only had the best price but I found them to be the most professional. Talked to their Service Manager, Steve, who was great. I explained the situation and he was able to trouble shoot it over the phone and quote me the repair price. I am very pleased and impressed with Howald Plumbing and will definitely use them again.

JW’s team was honest, efficient, and professional. They were quick to respond and fixed the problem in a timely manner! Highly recommend!

Can't say enough about the great job Hellyer Plumbing did installing a new water line on my property. The crew worked long hours to get the job done as fast as possible, which we appreciated very much, considering we were without running water. One day without running water is more than enough to make you realize how much we take it for granted. Thank you, Hellyer!
