I needed help with a breaker that kept tripping. Because it was an Eaton breaker and I was able to read a code that indicated the breaker's self-test was failing, I thought it would be a simple breaker changeout, but wanted someone to come make sure there wasn't a bigger problem also.I looked up electricians in my area on Yelp and sorted by rating; Paul Richard Electric came up as the top result. I read the reviews and decided to go with Paul Richard after noting the high level of service provided and the quick response time, even though it appeared from the other reviewers the minimum charge was $285.After submitting a request for quote which took just a few minutes, even with the submission of pictures of my breaker box, Paul himself got back with me within 10 minutes (guaranteed response time of 20 minutes) with an estimate of $285 and request to call for more information. Long story short, Paul was able to come by within the next hour because he was in the area and get the problem fixed. He and Jon (the other tech who was with him) were also able to test the new breaker after they installed it, with all my appliances in the kitchen turned on, to determine the load on the circuit was OK. He also examined the breaker box install from the builder and recommended a couple of changes they should make under the original home warranty to bring the box to code, and documented them on the receipt the same evening per my request. Even though we tested it thoroughly, Paul offered to have a tech come out next day if there were any further problems overnight, despite it being an extremely busy schedule for them on Thanksgiving week.The $285 included the trip charge plus a two-hour minimum of work. I also paid for the cost of the breaker they replaced (they showed me the receipt). All in all, I feel like I got my money's worth and got the problem resolved safely and effectively. I cut a wire and called many places to have someone take a look. Finally Mr. Electric said “it sounds serious, we’ll find someone”. In a matter of 1 hour Brandon Turner was at my house tracing wires and trying to make sure it didn’t need to be shut off. Turns out it didn’t but I was so relieved!

The technician was professional and knowledgeable and he explained everything to my understanding.The reason I didn't use this business is the price quoted to me was high to install a ring floodlight camera. If the price would have been just a little lower, I would have gladly had it installed.

I live in the Heights. Had them come over to install a new outlet for a security camera which required they tap into an existing circuit I had run for a gate motor. They talked me through the options for surface-mounting the electrical box, how they were going to cut into the existing conduit, and after we settled on a location for the new box, they left to get exactly the parts they needed. They returned in less than an hour and completed the work. It has worked perfectly, they came the day I called, left no mess. It wasn't free, but I got exactly what I wanted and quickly. Perfectly fine experience.

Robert showed up a few hours after I called him, found a tripped breaker I hadn't seen (it didn't look tripped) and didn't charge me anything, even his trip charge. He will have my business as long as I'm here.

First thing in the morning I went to turn on the lights in back of the house and heard a crackling noise and then all the electricity went out.
