Matthew, Able and the team at A1Plus absolutely nailed our project! We have a 7k sqft facility and had a budget electrician come and replace about 100x fluorescent tube lights only to have all of them and more burn out in under 3-4 months. Frustrated, we sought out a solution that would get us back on track while aiming to avoid having to have make regular replacements. Matthew built us a custom solution that worked with our budget and overdelivered an amazing lighting solution in a very timely manner. I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out!Their customer service is top notch and they have earned a customer for life. Thank you to the A1+ team.

Had APlus reinstall main underground wiring, While they dug the trinch they hit other wires that went to my pound pump.( see photos). Ok. so they thought it was a root when digging, no biggie, but their worker never told the supervisor Mathew. I saw it when I inpected it before they covered it up. I showed it to one of the workers they said they would wrap tape around it. NO that is not how you fix it. I text Mathew and sent him picture he said he was busy and would call me. He Didn't.The next day when I came home they already filled it up. I asked the worker but he did not speak english, He called a supervisor and I talked to him. He said he was working with Mathew and was aware of it and said he had an electrican go out and fixed it before they filled it back up. He gave me the name of the electrican and told me how they fixed it.Two weeks later I bought a new shovel ( workers stole mine ) and dug it up. they did not do a thing to it !.I called A1 plus and told them what happened and I wanted to know why this supervisor LIED ! She said she would find out and call me back, she didn't and she sent another electrican out the next day and he fixed it. I told him the story and he said the company would call me. Nobody ever called me. No apology.The worker should have immediately notifed Mathew.Mathew then should have immediatly called me.Mathew should have made sure it was fixed and inspected it.A1 Plus should have found out why the supervisor lied to me in detail. But they simply do not care.It would take a few years before the wires would corrode and I had problems which would cost a fortune and I would have never had known what A1 Plus did. Makes you wonder about their good reviews what will be happening to there jobs in a few years.They also have not sent me a receipt that I have repeatly asked for.

Super quick to fit me into their schedule. Technician was super clear in communication, very friendly, super professional, and prompt arrival time. Highly recommend. If I ever need electrical service again I will definitely be using them.Technician even submitted photos on my invoice receipt which got emailed to me while they were still on the property.

Had a partial power outage for an all electric house during the holiday weekend which means no HEAT!. After several dead ends with others, A1 put me on their schedule for that night. Within 30min I got a call from Johnathan, a tech in the field that night, and although he was swamped, he talked me through troubleshooting and got me on the right track to facilitate repairs. Got the work done and started heating the house and my elderly mother's bones to sleep safely through the night. Although Jonathan wasn't working this job, he stayed in constant contact before, during, and after to make sure everything was going smoothly ready to do what ever was possible for us. On Jan 30 lost total power to the house, turns out my underground neutral had gone bad. Bobby showed up on time to do the diagnostics, super professional, took his time to confirm diagnostics. After the shocking news, they gave me an estimate and on the spot and came out the next day to do amazing work on New Years Eve so that I could start the new year with power. Super good work, responsive, and on-time!

My call for inspection of my Generac generator was answered yesterday with technician out this morning. On time, very professional. Estimate online quickly after and date set for repairs. I 'm very pleased so far!My generator is up and running - ready for storm season. Justin came in and explained the repairs - will call A-1 for yearly maintenance.

Matthew came out and prepared a bid for a large project. Once we have the project approved and work done, we will leave another review. Overall so far, response time and effort to revise bid several times is excellent.

My tech was friendly and efficient he installed a new light in my kitchen in a matter of minutes he also checked 2 rooms that light wasn’t working it was a tripped circuit he went to the circuit box and turned the circuit back on

Enrique and Luis installed four canless lights in my home office. They carefully covered my furniture to avoid dust and were very professional. Great job, I recommend this company.

Justin and his trainee fixed several light switches that my handyman had messed up. They were very thorough in diagnosing, fixing, and testing the switches as well as cleaning up afterwards. I am pleased with the results and their friendly attitude.

We used A1 after a lightning strike caused a huge power surge. We replaced our entire circuit panel box. Roy and Jose were great. They were friendly and got to work early on my project. To start, the electrician was awesome and professional. This review has to do with the people in office. I called to set an appt after getting $50 off email which was not ever given to me. When I set the appt up over the phone the girl seemed lost and confused. She put me on hold to go ask someone about my partial payment. She took all my card info to set the appt with 50% deposit. Then said I would get an email. Never got the email. So I emailed the previous email with my estimate attached to figure out where my receipt was and confirmation of appt. Someone responded and sent the info. So after being charged 50% of $500 they sent me the pay link after the electrician came out. I informed them I already did the 50% deposit because according to them you HAVE to do it in order to make the appt. They said someone in accounting would call me Monday to discuss why my bill was still $500. NOBODY till this day has called me or emailed. I tried calling but of course no answer! No return calls! They take your money and rip you off. I should have known to seek another company the minute the girl sounded lost on the phone. Then they had the audacity to email me to pay the $500 or they will put it on my credit report. I thought all the great reviews but def the worst company! So I had to pay it as I am purchasing a new home. BEWARE of the office staff!!! Funny they can email to demand money but not discuss why they have stolen an extra $250 from me!!! Reporting them to BBB

Even though it was a cold and rainy day, A1 was there to complete the work in one day. The panel installation was outside which meant they were working outside. They completed the job way after the sun went down. The city inspected the job two days later. A1 came back to make sure the breakers were labeled correct.

This company tried to charge me double what everyone else gave me as an estimate. I had the work completed by another company for half of their estimate and done in the less time than they quoted me. They wanted $1220 for 4 hours of labor (with one person) installing 2 outlets / breakers in a garage with me providing most of the material. This was a 10’ run for 1 outlet and a 1’ run for another.The technician himself was very nice and professional but the company are trying to rip customers off.

Set up an appointment for Saturday between 4-7pm. This was from a booking calendar sent to me on the chat section of the website. They called me twice Saturday around 1 to try to change it to an earlier time but I was unavailable to answer, which is why I chose the 4-7 window. I called them back and was told they don’t offer a 4-7 window on Saturday, and since I didn’t answer when they called, they sent to tech to another appointment. when I asked why that time slot was on the booking calendar, the response was that they don’t have the ability to take that slot off for that day. They did send me the link to rate their service, which is even funnier than the booking issue since nobody came out. I decided not to rebook. I’m sure they do a fine job, but it started so poorly I think I’ll just go with someone else.

My warehouse yard had 3 poorly performing light fixtures that were decades old. A1 sent 2 technicians who spent 3-4 hours here replacing all 3 fixtures with LED wallpacks and the price was less than I expected. They arrived on time, completed their work, cleaned up their mess. The lights work great and I feel security has been improved. I will be hiring them again for future jobs.

The technicians were professional did their work quickly. Once they were done they checked the wiring and ran my dryer to make sure that it worked properly. They answered my questions about what needed to be done and why.

A few issues with initial install, but Justin and his team came out and resolved the problems.Would recommend them to other friends and clients.Hiring again for another project.

I called A1 as it was a “Google guarantee” with 5 stars. I was given a time slot of 1-4pm. I didn’t even get a phone call from my technician until 4:08pm. He informed me he was 1 hour and 9 minutes away. This was already a bad sign. When he arrived at 5:28pm, on a Friday, he was a polite young man. I explained the situation and he did some checking. He tells me that he was done and he was going to leave. I was stunned. He did no tests. He didn’t open any platelets. I thought he would attempt to fix my problem, but he told me he would be submitting my information to his office and they would contact me. I asked how long that would take and he told me 45 minutes. It’s 3 days later bc I have yet to hear from anyone. This is unprofessional.

I am still in the planning stage of my project. The technician who visited me was very helpful. He listened and understood what I wanted done and offered advice and alternatives to my original plan that made sense to me and should result in a better outcome. He provided me with a quote for services within 30 minutes of leaving my home. I’ve had a previous visit yesterday from an electrician who did offer a lower price for the install but there was a communication issue with that guy and no alternatives or advice were offered. I still have another appointment with an electrician early next week and will make a decision on which Company to use at that time.

I have used A1 Plus several times. I recently had a outlet that stopped working. They came and diagnosed that nothing was wrong and had the outlet working in seconds. I own a home and rental property so I appreciate and only select vendors that do not try and oversell or charge where not needed. In this case there was no fee. I have had other services performed by them and the quality and value are worthwhile. My maintenance needs are long term and I will continue to use A1 for my electrical needs as they do try to upsell there services.

I was very pleased with this company. At first I thought oh oh he's young.. he was the best young, most knowledgeable Electrician I have ever met. He explained everything to me in detail and it made sense. I had an Electrician the day prior - middle age who I didn't trust what he was saying. Jose took care of my electrical issue. Because he was so professional and knowledgeable I bought an electrical panel surge protector which cost much more than the job I called him for. My brother recommended this company because he uses them exclusively. I also highly recommend them and will use them for our electrical needs. Let me say I have used another company in the past and it was not good. I had to chase them to come back, they hardly returned calls or emails and I won't use them again. Thank you A1.

Electrician came out to assess a partial home outage. He was professional when giving us the not so great news. Went above and beyond to call our local energy provider to relay his findings and have them come assess their transformers. I did not end up requiring their business because my home is under warranty with the builder and they use their own contractors to cover the cost, but I will absolutely call them again should I have any electrical needs.

I needed an EV charger installed in my home and my experience with A1 was fantastic. They saved me a bunch of money by rerouting an unused circuit and they did it all with just one opening in the wall. I’ve worked with a lot of electricians in the past but I have never been this impressed. I will be using them again.

Young guy came in with a quote for the job of over $400 but never checked the problem just ready to charge us for unnecessary work. Found someone else and the problem was simple and only cost $45 to fix. This company has SCAM vibes and I would never hire this company.*To respond to that reply: we had a reputable company come out the to actual work, they tested the outlets and wires to determine the problem. Your company sends people walking in the door and only a cell phone with a quote already doctored up without even checking what the problem could possibly be first. That was the situation yet no one within your company cared. You just insulted yourself with that comment made. Overcharging for multiple outlets when there's only one and overcharging for materials not even needed but then again your guy never touched a thing to even know. Ridiculous customer service!

The customer at the property used my phone to call you guys about his main breaker box from outside to be fixed. Later that night I helped him rewire his junction box with a missing neutral wire that needed to be installed so the circuits breakers would function right and get him away from wiring the breaker box like a 12 volt car. Showed him where to put the wires and circuit breakers with a neutral and hot wires and to ground the box out. But anyways after checking the power lines and ground line to make them look like it should be done the power worked that night for his yard lights and ac in the mobile home. And I guess it worked this morning because he needed no assistance using my volt meter.I have worked as a electrician and inspector for many companies in Houston getting electrical apparatus is to work and working with engineers to draw and fix any defects. I am not working now I am retired in Navy. I like Dan because he likes to fish and has many boats to travel in. I am his first mate on his boats and having lots of fun fishing in the Galveston area.

Today Bobby came out to give me a quote for the work that I need done on my electrical panel. Therefore, while I have not actually had the work done yet, I believe that Bobby will do an excellent job at getting my electrical system up to date and providing me with Top Notch service just as he did today with his quote and awesome personality?

Jose H. provided a through explanation of the electrical problem. When I had follow up questions, he quickly returned my call. The work was completed the next day. The office staff was also friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that the crew that was dispatched to do the work arrived an hour or so late outside the service window. This created a timing issue for me. It worked out ok; however, I would urge the company to stay within the sheduled window of time. Or, if there is a problem, let the customer know. We all have lives that require us to be somewhere, or be doing something, so I relied on that window in order to schedule my personal work hours.

Update to review. Please note after my review I was contacted by A1 and to their credit they took ownership and rectified the issue.Old review-Be careful using A-1 plus electrical. They quoted us almost $800 to tighten a few outlets, replace a couple of light switches and install a ceiling fan and light fixture that were provide and purchased by me (customer). While this is expensive, I went ahead as we did not have the time to shop around and get other quotes. They call me with the work is completed and said they misidentified one an issue as a bad switch and said a separate light fixture need to be replaced. They then told me they need another $250 to replace the fixture due to a separate trip charge. This is outrageous, a proper electrician would have identified the fixture in the first place to avoid separate trips and an ethical electrician would have replaced the light fixture for just the fixture cost and not try and up-charge the customer a separate trip charge due to their own error in identifying a simple issue.

He did what needs to be done to check the issues I requested, then he presented me the quote which remains open until we could decide. Thanks.

I wanted to switch out a few old light switch for a new one. I had A1 - plus service before for the same reason and they were nice and affordable. This time around their electricians was price gouging. They wanted me to pay 4x the price per light switch to replace. That’s a 400% increase since I had their service only 5 months ago. I can understand if the price double but quadruple from March to August in the same year? Isn’t making any sense

Our technician was very professional and gave us very good advice in regards to our house electrical issues. Problem was resolved very quickly as well. I would recommend to everybody in need of this type of service.

They said they'll come out for free and within two hours. But they should also say that it's gonna be $199 on a Sunday… Which is three times as high as their competitors

Mr. Matthew Bryce was very knowledgeable and recognized a bad situation quickly in our main power supply. He isolated the power to the house and had Centerpointe Emergency staff come in short order to isolate the main feed and make sure all was safe. I had the quote in hand that afternoon and A1 set me up for an emergency repair the next day (1 day total outage in what could have been a real disaster had they not came to the house so fast after my initial call). Very appreciative of Matthew and A1.

I’ve called this company plenty of times to deal with my breaker connected my dryer. It had problems and a1 would send out their workers. Some have good insight on the problem but mr Eric Reyes was the one a1 employee that gave me insight but a solution with explanation on the problem and how he would solve it. He would explain in a professional manner as well as personal level to understand my concern. He arrived on time and got right to problem solving. Definitely a good worker and would want him back to fix anything else on my home.

Called back due to my electrical shutters were not working after the panel and wire replacement, they claim to be back the next day but never showed up and when I called to verify if they were coming I got a recorded ANSWER!!! AND STILL WAITING!!!!

We have had two engagements with A1 Plus, both of which went well. The first was back in 2019 to install outlets in our backyard palapa. The second was last night. Our meter malfunctioned and began to heat and smoke at around 7:00 pm. Counterpoint came out and disconnected. We called A1 Plus at 8:00p or so. They were able to get an electrician out quickly (30-45 minutes) and we had power restored by midnight.

Great service. Arrived during the time slot provided. Personnel very nice and knowledgeable.

While the initial consultation and assessment from Matthew was promptly and professionally handled, the actual work contracted was never performed and the company charged me regardless. The people assigned to the work arrived at 9pm (even though the time window was set between 1 and 4pm) reset a breaker and left. After complaining about this, another person was sent out a couple of days later (arriving outside of the window again) only to once again not perform the work and to tell me the original assessment wasn't done properly --- and that he would send me a quote for the work that was actually needed. I attempted to work with the company to remove the charges for work not performed, but they were not responsive. Lots of good reviews here on Google--- not so much on Yelp as I learned a little too late. My experience seems to not be unique.

Nicholas was the repairman who came out to my home and checked the appliance and electrical system. Found no problems with electrical and referred back to primary company. He was on time, very professional and knowledgeable, and I was truly impressed with his expertise. I would definitely consider calling him out again at any time of the day or night. He was very helpful in taking his time and explaining recommendations from a practical and safety standpoint taking into account the 30 year age of our home. There was no pressure and his manner was very friendly and trusting.A few days later we scheduled the work with A-1 Plus. They were able to set us up for the next day. Kevin and his teammate arrived on time. They worked efficiently to complete all work that day. They even corrected a couple of wiring problems left by previous renovation electricians. We were having problems with a light fixture. Nicolas Anguiano came out to test things. When he opened the breaker box he found and showed us wires that looked burned at the breaker connections. I already knew about some breaker boxes in older homes should be changed out so when we saw how things looked inside we decided to spend the money and get that done. We thought the price was reasonable and they did a professional job within the time they estimated. We are pleased with their work.

First of all, they were able to see me the day I called, that same morning in fact. I had a previous appointment I couldn’t miss and they went out of their way to accommodate that. They sent out Mark and he really fixed the issue and hooked us up because he finished right on time for when we needed to leave. He was professional and worked fast. Would use them again for sure.

We had 2 others company’s come but they don’t even look properly and give a out rages prices and don’t explains us the problem. They are a great company to work with.

Breaker costs $50 and they charge $290 for 30 min labor cost to replace the breaker. Way too expensive. Will not come back

From start to finish, A1 was professional and punctual. They were able to provide an accurate estimate and schedule the appointment incredibly quick. Our technicians arrived within the specified time window and got right to work. They made recommendations for light placement based on current power layout as well as functionality within the space. After the initial layout, the electricians cleaned the work area, went over all of the work done, and verified that it was to our liking. Expert electricians who went above and beyond. I needed ground wiring (220-240v and 120v) for my greenhouse that was one-hundred feet from my residence. The job required a trencher. Additional personnel were sent to manually trench the ground to accommodate the wiring. Roy Escobar, and two other men expeditiously completed the wiring and inserted the electrical outlets where I wanted them. My next project will be for a home generator. I'll call on A1 Plus Electrical.

They guy was a little bit late, but that wasn't the problem. I had what turned out to be a poorly wired switch to the furnace. Breaker kept flipping. After he looked at the breaker he told me I had to agree to a $519 diagnostic for him to proceed. It took him about thirty minutes to do the work. I will try to find an electrician that charges by the hour next time.

A-1 was able to provide me with a quote quickly. They were professional and corteous over the phone. My quote was emailed around 10:30 pm. I appreciate that someone put in the long hours to get the job done. Great company and service.

We called A1 Plus Electrical on a Sunday due to power loss. It was near 100 degrees so we needed to get the repair done. We we went with them because they guaranteed to have power back on by 6pm Sunday night. They did not get the power back on to our house until Monday afternoon. We were charge $9.5K and after checking around with other companies found out the charge should have only been 5K max, They took advantage of us and now after the fact will not even return our calls. I guess this is a case of buyer beware, Do not ever use these guys. They will way overcharge you.

Called mid-morning, tech showed up at 1:30. He didn't try to sell me a huge, expensive fix, but worked with me to concentrate efforts on trying to isolate the problem. Definitely a good experience.

I appreciate that there was no high pressure sales tactics pushing to have the work done by them. Once I selected A1, they were able to accommodate my schedule request for next day service. Ariel came out to do the actual installation, and he was very polite, quick and efficient (knew what he was doing). Very kind gentlemen that I would hire again.

They never called to inform me they were running late. When I called to follow up at 10am they said tech would arrive in an hour. Tech didn’t arrive for another 2.5 hours later.

They show up on time and can mostly do the work Onsite... Only problem is there front office people call and call after the work is complete for Payment without even giveing any time to review the invoice... Turn it into accounting and recieve payment.. The Technician was extremely professional and courteous. However when i noticed that he did not have a ladder i was told they always make a first trip just to determine what may be needed due to company policy. I need a light bulb changed that i explained was 12 ft high under cover, this i explained to the person setting the appointment. I find that with that information 2 trips should not have been necessary. I am approving the company to complete this job because the Technician represented himself and the employer very well.

We interviewed several electrical companies before hired A1 Plus Electrical.Victor did in house consultation for quote, he arrived on time. After we told him that we wanted to install a manual transfer switch and inlet plug for the portable generator, he gave us the professional feedback immediately and quoted a reasonable price.After installation date scheduled, the electrician arrived on time and did a very good job on installation. The communication was efficient from the office as well. We will recommend this company to anyone.

Had this company scheduled to come out for a quote. It was scheduled between 10a to 1pm. At 1pm no had shown up. I called the company and the person that answered apologized and said they would call the technician and call back. I waited for a while and no one called me back. So I called them back and they told me that the technician was running behind and would be here in 30 minutes. 45 minutes pass and I hear nothing. I call them back and they tell me that the technician is busy and that he is still on a job site and will be contact me shortly. Immediately after the phone call I get a text saying the technician is on the way. An hour later still no one is at my house. I call them back and they apologize again and tell me that he will be here within the hour. When the technician showed up he evaluated the area and told me he would send a quote in 10 min. I never received a quote. I got a phone 2 and a half weeks later from them asking about the bad service. I informed them that I did not receive a quote and they asked me to verify my email. Turns out the email was wrong. I corrected the email and they ensured me that I would receive a quote. I still have received nothing.

I called and spoke to a gentleman, and he said an emergency appointment would be expensive but that he could have someone come out in the morning to provide a free estimate. Made an appointment for 8am to 10am. No call, no show. I called back to see what the issue was with my appointment not being kept, and was on hold for more than 10 minutes. I hung up. Not very professional. A text would have been nice instead of leaving me hanging.

My pregnant wife & I just moved into a new home & suddenly our dryer stopped working so I contacted A1-Plus & Mark showed up the very next day. He was on time, professional, proficient & solved the issue in under an hour. Highly recommended!

They are very professional and reasonable price which they will work with you. The first technician that came out was great and did a really good job. They had to comeback a second time to finish up real quick and it was a different technician. This one you can tell definitely wasn’t as experience. At first he told me I got the wrong switches and I had to pull up the manual for him. It took him 3+Hr to install switches. He was on phone taking his time after I told him I needed leave soon. I just paid him and told him I’ll clean up his mess for him. I would recommend these guys as long as they send their experience crew.

He finished the repair quickly and let me know what he was doing as well as the process to follow up if I need more help. And icing on the cake was that the repair was affordable! Called to have a new home electrical panel inspected, because there were sparking sounds coming from box during our initial home inspection before closing. Within 24hrs we were given an in person quote regarding issues spotted and were told if we chose them we would get the same technician that conducted the in person quote. Well, we scheduled for the for them to proceed a day later and were on schedule between 1-3pm. After a series of calls they arrived at 5pm and sent a new technician who knew nothing about the issues spotted by the 1st technician. To get the work completed we had to explain and walk through what we needed. Very frustrating!!! In the end he did like a 10 minute inspection, which was the best he could do based on the information he was provided. Anyway, I feel we paid way to much ($185) for subpar professionalism and work quality....I'm not sure about them...

When sparks and smoke came out from our outdoor meter, we knew we needed help. A1 came out within hours and had a temp fix until a permanent one could be done. On the day of replacing the box and cables from the transformer to the house, they came when expected and other than waiting on Centerpoint to disconnect, they were ready to work and was completed around 2:30 pm. After they had completed all the new digging, cable and box install we had to wait on Centerpoint again till 10pm to get electric back on. This in no way impacts our experience and satisfaction with A1. Would definitely use A1 again for future upgrades in the house electrical remodel.

Purchased a new ceiling fan online with Home Depot and requested a install quote at checkout. A1 was the first to contact us and scheduling was easy, David arrived on time and was in and out in less than an hour. Mathew was on time any very professional. He knew exactly what to do about changing out a 30 amp breaker to a 40 amp breaker so that our a/c unit wouldn’t trip the breaker of all the time. I will definitely use A1 Plus Electric again in the future.

All of the staff communicate very effectively through phone calls, email, and text. 811 called and marked house prior to work.9/17/2020 Crew arrived on time, dug trench to code, installed our subpanel, and backfilled trench in one day. Contacted A1 Plus for problems with a GFCI in my kitchen. Justin Stephens diagnosed the issue and scheduled a follow-up appointment the next day in which Franklin and Jose checked and repaired all outlets on the circuit. All the techs arrived on time, were courteous, professional and completed the repairs to my satisfaction. They all took the time to discuss what was done in detail. Everything about A1 Plus is A+!!! I got their info from the Home Depot Referral site. They called me and I got an appointment the next day for the quote. The technician came out and gave me quote and installed my new outdoor ceiling fans right then and there! It was so nice to get everything done and completed. The technician was professional and even wore booties on my patio to not make a muddy mess (it was raining that day). I don't know why I waited so long to get this project completed. Call them now!!! You won't be disappointed.

I called for generator repair and was told I would get a free estimate. A tech came out the next day and said he didn't work on my generator but he had a friend that did and it would be $300 to come out.In response to the reply: I told the person who answered the phone that I had a Briggs and Stratton with a GE board and asked if he repaired them. He talked to someone and came back on the phone and said yes. He should have told me then that you didn't work on them.

We had several electrical repairs needed on our med center townhouse including, replacing a breaker box, repairing some in-ground outdoor lighting, and changing out our fluorescent bathroom light with new LED lighting. We called early on a Saturday morning and we were pleasantly surprised to receive a call back within about 15-20 minutes scheduling us for later that afternoon. I had them install a 50 Amp outdoor plug and breaker to allow my generator to run my home. The quality of work was good and the Electrician was professional. A few complaints. Our appointment window was 10AM-1PM. The Electrician showed up at 3PM and we had to reach out several times to get an update. We would have appreciated more proactive communication. We blocked off our day to be home and it’s just courtesy. There was also some confusion because the Electrician was driving a plumbing companies vehicle. It left me wondering if the person working on my home was even licensed or knew how to do electrical work. We called and they verified his certification and employment status but it shouldn’t even be a question.

When I had another issue, I hired them again and again.One thing that really impressed me was about 10 minutes before their arrival I received a text with a photo of the technician who would be arriving soon. I would recommend this company for residential or commercial use, I have used them for both and was very satisfied.

I had A1 Plus do all the electrical wiring for a complete kitchen remodel, including multiple new 240 and 120 volt circuits, under floor circuits, inside and under cabinet lights and outlets. They did a great job, I have no complaints. They also helped advise me on some of the products and light fixtures that I wasn't aware of that worked great for my needs. It's a tough challenge to find reliable contractors that will perform quality work. I had several bids they weren't the cheapest but very close to it. And they were able to get started quickly and finish on time.

A1 did exactly what you want when you call a company for service. Answered call with professional courtesy and set up appointment for free estimate visit, received visit from professional sales rep who answered questions and gave installation recommendations and had 2 service techs that arrived, set up and did installation promptly then explained outlet configuration to and from breakerbox. I had a 220v and 4-way 110v box with 2 seperate circuits installed to 4-way. I highly recommend A1 Plus Electrical to get the job done.

Overall, my experience with A1 Plus Electrical was excellent! I hired them to run a few ethernet cables as well as install some recessed lighting in a few rooms. I got the initial quote from Victor who was polite and knowledgeable. I agreed to have the work done so I went ahead and got on the schedule. I was a little concerned when they asked for full payment ahead of work, but because of the high ratings and because it was a credit card payment (that I could dispute with the bank if something went wrong with the project), I went ahead and did full payment as requested. The workers came out ( Henry and I didn't get the other gentlemen's name ) and they were efficient, polite, and did a great job with the work. The work took about 8 hours to complete which is what I expected. We did run into an issue however where my alarm system transformer fried during the work which was unrelated to the job scope. Not sure if it was caused by the work performed or not, ( it did happen during the time they were here ) but they assumed responsibility and came back the next day to replace the transformer for my alarm system. I am highly pleased with the professionalism and responsiveness of the workers I worked with and the company overall. I do have some other electrical projects coming up in the next year or so and will be contacting them again for the work.

The electrician came out to look at the site, discussed with me the options and sizes of the standby Generac generators that fit my home. Then told me that I will receive a quote through email within 4 hours for the prices of different size of generators and prices for different options for installation but I did not receive any quote for 2 days. I called to the office and some lady told me that she will talk to the technician and they will send it out by the end of that day but still nothing. This is very frustrating and unprofessional.

I had them come to replace a breaker. They didn’t have the part so instead of replacing the breaker they just moved it to a different spot. So I payed $245 to have my dishwasher not work instead of my washer machine.

TLDR - Our experience with this company (and Carlos or electrician) were incredible. I highly recommend this company. If you have not dealt with electricians before, call someone else out first so you can compare how that company treats you compared to this one. We will be using this company for any electrical needs we have from here on out!__________________________________________________________________We had a different electric company come out and provide us a quote for our office on some repairs we needed. When we called in the morning, we were told we wouldn't get someone until the afternoon and they would call us before arriving. We did not hear from them so we went to lunch. Shortly after leaving we were called and informed that they were at the office and we told them we wouldn't be back for an hour. They said they would come back. When they came back, they looked at the repairs and estimated about $1100 for the repairs we requested plus an additional $500 of repairs they recommended on top of that.After seeing the costs and thinking they were a bit high, we called another company (A1 Plus) the next morning. They provided a 2 hour window for the electrician to show up (which he showed up right in the middle). He looked over the repairs just like the other company and offered to repair the equipment for about 40% less than the first company. They also told me the additional repairs were not necessary and walked me through why that is. We decided to go with them quickly after the evaluation and quote. Upon return to do the repairs (which was inside a 2 hour window again), the electrician was very considerate of our work environment and got the work done quicker than estimated. Overall an incredible experience and well deserved of this lengthy (sorry about that!) review.

Well, unknown to me, the company sent a text that the Tech could come soon and would be on the way. He was Professional, prompt and I am Very Happy!!! I asked that they do some other things I need. Done a variety of home small jobs and always been a pretty good value and very good quality. 3 out 4 times they were super punctual, one time came a little bit after 12 when promised to be there during 10-12 window. Work Saturdays which was super helpful for me.

One word..OVERPRICED! He wanted to charge me almost $1000 to install a chandelier. Really?? That is ridiculous! Made up some BS saying its going to take 3 to 4 hours to install. Got another quote for $380. Everything he quoted me for was ridiculously overpriced! The total project was a little over $2000 that A1 Plus Electrical quoted me for.. Got it all done for $680 Folks go somewhere else.

I have not used them yet. But am thinking about it.

Once we received to the cost to install a 24 KW generator, we did not hesitate to call A1 Electrical and finalize the purchase and installation.

We replaced an 18' high ceiling fan. David's team showed on time and quickly got the new fan up and running. Very happy with the installation. Also helped answer questions about switch controls to allow fan speed adjustments at the switch (vs chain).

Willing to reschedule on short notice (less than 24 hours). When they did arrive, the technicians did a good job installing 11 ports and running Cat-6 network cable to three bedrooms and my living room (upstairs and down). Slight glitch with language barrier, but nothing that couldn't be overcome. Professional appearance and performance. A little expensive, but I'm very satisfied with the end result.

Used them to install TV outlets and run wires in 4 rooms to be in compliance with code just a day after contacting them and a day after getting the quote and they did a great job, evening vacuuming after. They Did such a great job i requested they install an exterior porch light and change out 2 chandeliers as a second job. I found A1 through Home Advisor. I got a very prompt response to my request and a representative came to my home the next morning to give me a quote. The work was scheduled for the next morning. The only negative I had was that they didn’t contact me when the electricians assigned to my job apparently had trouble locating the necessary parts and had to go to another warehouse. I didn’t know what was happening. All I knew was that no one showed up when I was expecting them. My appointment was scheduled for 8:00-10:00 a.m. but they finally arrived at 1:15 pm. I wish they had called me instead of me having to call them.Other than that little snafu, the work was doing quickly and efficiently.

We have used A1 Plus Electrical for everything in our home. From replacing the electric panel, ground the house, to installing recessed lights and running new outlets and switches - they are amazing. Victor troubleshooted my electrical problem as a defective neutral wire going from the transformer to the breaker box. Centerpoint stopped by last night and confirmed that to be the problem.The job involved a deep trench about 25 ft long and two feet deep as well as a new power box and meter box mounted 15 feet away from the existing ones. Victor saved us a lot of expense and precious time by rerouting the electric line rather than breaking up my patio porch to lay it where the previous line ran.The crew took their time and did a hi quality job. It was very hard work but they stayed on schedule.David, the master plumber who arranged the permits and calls to Centerpoint, went far and above what most companies would have done. Upon completion of the job, the Centerpoint crew was supposed to hook up my power but determined since the permit wasn’t issued, they couldn’t do the job until everything was completed. But David had completed everything and the city was slow to process the permit. David and the crew went back and forth for thirty minutes. He stood his ground until the crew checked with the city and found out they were slow to process it. I was amazed how hard he fought for us since Centerpoint is a monopoly and seems to get their way more times than not. We would have tossed out a lot of once frozen food and would have had to find alternate lodging if he had not been successful. Thanks a million David! My wife’s happy!

i received a very reasonable quote and they performed the work the next day and ensured it was completed - even working past dark. all in all, a good value.i didn't get a lot of technical know how on the lighting specifics and i could have pressed harder, but in the end we went with their standard and it is working out ok. i would have liked a little more light, but it was a good job all around and I would call them back for my next job.

Work was done well, however other things changed review from 5 to 3 star. I had 3 ceiling fans installed that I bought online. On 1 fan the remote switch was defective. He offered to go pick up a new one. Had I known the new switch was $170, that would have changed my mind. Also, the estimate of the cost of work done was 15% higher, after a $50 coupon. My appointment time was switched without my knowledge on the first meeting. I was told there was no service call, but somehow it's included in the cost. Overpriced for what was done.

We needed an estimate for fixing our outdoor lightening. We were told the window was between 4:00 PM and 7:00PM. We received an email confirming the time. At 7:00 PM, we received a call and were told they had to reschedule because they were running incredibly behind. We were furious! We understand that some jobs can take a long time but you could have called us before the window closed and rescheduled. Very unprofessional! We went with a different company.

DO NOT CONTACT IF YOU DON’T SPEAK SPANISH. The service I paid for is NOT what I asked for. The technicians were late both days. I was given a quote that I thought was reasonable after I told the gentleman doing the estimate EXACTLY what I needed...multiple times to make sure there was no confusion. I SHOWED him examples of what I needed on 3 separate outlets in my house to make sure he understood what I needed because it was different than a normal install. I showed him the examples because my home was built with them. I clearly said this is what I need. I work from home from 2 different companies. I need this! The day of install the technicians didn’t seem to know what was going on. They spoke little English and still got it wrong. Then tried to charge extra to fix what they screwed up. I still have to pay someone else to come do the job correctly.

It’s quite an ordeal on the first floor as they have to cut into the ceiling not only for the cans but also to find wiring etc. However, they were very responsive to our concerns and offered some alternatives and solutions. This is my second time to use A1 Electrical and they have done fantastic work both times. They upgraded my circuit box and they’ve fixed odds and ends with funky wiring around the house. The work is super solid and very professional. And they do their financing through GreenSky which is easy to apply for. Additionally, GreenSky has had a deal both times to not charge interest so long as you’re all paid up in 12 months. So, you can either pay off your bill in up to 36 months with interest, or in 12 months with no interest. Lastly, A1 Electrical’s pricing are right on market value. They aren’t going to give you a better deal necessarily, but it will be a fair one. And for their reliability and professionalism - it’s worth it.I’ll go to them every time!

I found A1 Plus Electrical through Home Depot’s Pro Referral. I was able to schedule an electrician for the following day with an arrival window between 7-10am. The electrician arrived promptly and completed the project quickly. He was even able to complete a second project my housemate brought up while he was finishing up the first project. I am very pleased with his work.

They used to be better... This time, I booked an appointment and waited 3 hrs. Nobody showed up. Had to call back office and it turned out they were not aware of any delay etc. One hr later the technician called and asked if he can come again later or not....no follow up from office and when contacted them to reschedule, they were not helpful to make it right....It is unfortunate to see their irresponsibility about customers. If your technician time is important, your customer time is also important as equal, if not more and should not be wasted like this...

Needed one outlet replaced. No rewiring, no electrical problems, just a plug. AI Plus agreed to give us an estimate. After arriving two hours late for the three hour scheduled time frame they sent an invoice not an estimate of $200. to replace the outlet. Happy for those who posted good reviews as I support fair pricing. Sorry for me this did not work out for us.

This company completed an expensive job for us. Within, 3 days they sent the invoice and threatened collection. How crazy is that? I happily paid the bill in that exact same week that the work was done. Even though they did a good job, I would not recommend a business that treats it's customers this way.

They came over and took all my concerns about my electrical problems in my newly purchased house, that same day sent me estimates broken down into categories so I could pick and choose what I wanted and what was in my price range.When the work was actually done , it was fast and done perfectly! Terrible experience with this company. Used them to install fans which they had to come back out and correct. Poor communication and understanding. Guys who installed my fans barely spoke English and had the nerve to talk on the phone in spanish the entire time he installed the fan w/ the phone on loud speaker smh. Just unprofessional. Was willing to give them a second chance by having them mount my tv’s, until the rep tried to charge me double the price for one tv, completely dishonoring the what he offered to quote the service for. I was having issues with the breaker to the AC unit at my rental tripping. Justin S. came out and was super nice and diagnosing the issue very quickly. He discussed the options to fix the issue with my landlord and completed the work very quickly. There needs to be further work done and Justin was great at explaining what other issues the breaker box has and letting my landlord and I know what works needs to be done. Monday, June 26, 2021 Matthew arrived at our home to provide a quote for two outdoor ceiling fan installations and repair/replace one bathroom exhaust fan. Matthew replaced the failing part in the bathroom exhaust fan on the spot and charged me a trip charge for the repair (which was fine). Matthew told me I would need to purchase medallions to cover up the hole after the conversion from canned lights outside to the ceiling fan mount bracket because the hole would be larger than the ceiling fan mount which attaches to the ceiling. I had purchased a remote control to which Matthew pursuaded me not to use quoting him verbatim They can be a pain, so I decided against having the remote ceiling fan part installed. Matthew asked to see the ceiling fans, opening one of the ceiling fan boxes to check it's contents. Matthew then told me I would need to get another downrod. I inquired about the type of bracket I would need to purchase for the installation and Matthew informed me I would have to use the brackets A1 provides. I went to Lowes to purchase the two medallions and one ceiling fan down rod. Matthew and I discussed two other job quotes to be perfomed at a later date nce I order and receive my parts. I paid the trip charge and the quote Matthew provided me was $400.00 for the ceiling fan installations.The problems began on the scheduled installation date of June 30, 2021 with an arrival time of 10AM-1PM. At 1:03PM I called A1 Electrical's telephone number and No on answered (3 times) Then all of a sudden I'm hearing automated telephone prompts telling me to hold the line. Finally a lady answers the phone and has no idea where the technicians are and tells me nothing has changed with my scheduked appointment window. The lady calls me back to tell me the technicians are on the way. Thirty minutes later I call A1 Electrical back because the technicians hadn't arrived. The technicians arrive 7 minutes later (around 2 pm) The technicians began their work, then Juavier tells me I need an additional two pieces (a ball and adapter) and a different bracket for the down rod. *So, now I'm paying for a bracket that Matthew said I have to purchase through his company that doesnt work on the type of installation I requested*We get Matthew on the telephone regarding this because I purchased EXACTLY what he told me I needed to purchase. The two options Matthew offered where to hang them flush mount because it might actually look good or his technicians could install the brackets and I could return the ceiling fans and purchase down rod ceiling fans AND PAY FOR A TRIP FEE FOR THE TECHNICIANS TO RETUENRN AND INSTALL THE CEILING FANS. I told Matthew Im not paying a trip FEE for an OVERSIGHT ON YOUR PART so option 2 isn't an option, the ceiling fans will be mounted flushed mount. However, now I'm paying $400.00 for a service that ISN'T what I requested. Matthew admitted to not seeing the ceiling fan was flush mounted, however his solutions to his OVERSIGHT is beyond poor customer service. He stated he was in the Marine Core, I was in the Air Force and INTEGRITY is very important for which, he didn't do the right thing when he knew he had made a mistake that COST ME $400. Javier and the other technician were nice about everything, however there was trouble getting the ceiling fan attached to the bracket and the lip of the medallion may slide down (Javier said If it slides down I can glue it, which I'm okay with because he was honest about it) The sexond installed ceiling fan makes a ticking sound for which Javier said it should stop making, so im waiting for the ticking to stop)The right thing to have done was to say Mr & Mrs Cade, this was an OVERSIGHT on my part, these are the additional items you need to purchase, once you have these items, call us back and we will send technicians to your house to install your ceiling fans. I'm still waiting for the payment hyperlink. I'm NOT at all happy paying for something other than what I requested and the mistake is the company's not mine.

The job was two install a plug on the enter house, connected to the new outer house plug, so that I could run an extension cord to my generator. The two men did a great job, but I felt $325.00, was on the high side.

They sent a sales person instead of an electrician. Then because I would need two visits, I wanted service quickly, and blamed my need for quick service on extra fees. This company is a big corporation that requires the consumer to pay for a lot of overhead, I prefer to use local electricians.

Needed some emergency electrical work done on a Saturday evening after a wire was breached during some handyman work. I was afraid I would have to pay a fortune to get someone out, if I could at all. I hired A1 Electrical to install a portable power generator breaker. What should have been a 4 hr job ended up being a total of about a week of late arrival, wrong or incomplete material, and about a combined over 48 hours of waiting on them over the week. I have never seen such lack of communication in a company.

I have '70s aluminum wiring in my townhome that I needed pigtailed with copper connectors. I also needed to have my breaker panel replaced. I called A-1 and they offered me an appointment that afternoon! Jose came out and explained all of the options. He was friendly, professional, punctual, and left a great impression. I got a quote emailed to me that night that was very detailed and reasonable. I'd use them again in a heartbeat.

This is the second time I used this company. The first time they did an amazing job, that was a year ago. This year I had more work done but I was set on not using any other electrical contractor other than A1 Electrical. Again the electrician exceeded my expectations. I will definitely use them for future commercial needs.

A1+ has done a couple of jobs for me now over the years. I wouldn’t use anyone else for residential electric. They are quick, capable, and their prices are reasonable. Overall, a great experience with A1+ Electrical. We had them run the wiring and install (3) motion-sensor, outdoor security lights, and splice them into a switch for an existing security light.The only reason for not giving 5 stars is that some trash was left at our house/in our yard, following the end of the job.

The technician was very professional and very knowledgeable. Completed the installation in less than 30 minutes. My only issue is that this company is extremely expensive! $215 to install a standard ceiling fan is quite pricey.

I was trying a bathroom remodel on my own. Hooking up the custom vanity drain was beyond my skill set. A1 came and offered advice on how to make it fit. They worked with me on a tight budget when I elected to have them perform this part of the remodel. I am very happy with the work done. Scheduled for Tuesday 8/7 appointment for an estimate, no show no call; I've call to let him know no one shows up and their customer rep insist that I reschedule for the next day. call me at 9am the next day told me the car of technician broke down for the 8-10am appointment. Technician arrived within the 3 hour given time scale to give free estimate. He spent around 20 minutes checking before he found the issue to be leaking battery. The technician that came to my home installed a brand new fuse, an outlet for my dryer, and an outdoor outlet. My vintage home was not set up for newer appliances. He had to cut out part of my concrete driveway in order to install a conduit, but he asked me prior to me accepting the job.However, he was unable to fill it back up because he's not licensed to do that. A strange policy but I just went with it. My dryer works and now I can hook up my patio lights. It was a little pricey but it had to be done correctly. Overall it was a good experience.

***Edited to say they did make this right, money was returned and generator was picked up. Glad that is over.Work was started without any permits. CenterPoint showed up at my house because they thought the meter had been tampered with. They didn’t even try to get permits until 12 days after they started work and then were unable to get the permits at all. A $10,000 standby generator project, that I was immediately charged for, was never completed. I’ve asked for my money back and for them to come get the generator, that has no permit to be on my property. We will see if they can make this right.

The guys were very professional, asked me questions and showed me the possible locations for the outlets (outdoor outlets) before they started working to make sure I was happy. Cleaned up after themselves and asked me to inspect everything they did to make sure I was happy.

I had a bathroom outlet that was no longer working. Justin came in and diagnosed the problem quickly, about 15 min, and explained what would need to be done to fix it (he claimed the estimate would be free). What was needed was simply a new (gfi) outlet needed to be installed - but he made it seem like it was alot more involved.. He then provided an estimate of $200. When I asked how much the part cost, he immediately dropped the price to $150 and got pushy as if this was the going rate for this sort of service. So taking his advice, I allowed him to perform the service. It took him another 10 min to install the new gfi outlet. The following day, without having him push me into a sale, I looked up and found the top tier gfi outlet was ~$20, max. Which means he charged me $130 for his 10 min of labor. I called him and confronted him about the price gouging, and when I asked to see a price break down of exactly what I was charged for, he refused to send me anything further than saying that he and his company charge by the project and the more than $750/hour rate, was to cover the business's overhead. I will NEVER hire A-1 again, and I would recommend anyone who would like to pay a fair price for the service to do the same.

So far so good. Have done 2 if the 4 steps to complete the project. With luck should be done this week. A lot earlier predicated. Would recommend A1 Plus Electrical to family and friends.

So I bought a 2017 Chevy bolt and needed a way to charge it at home. These guys hooked me and the outlet up. They did very professional work and cleaned up after they finished. Will be calling them again for more electric work that I’m sure I will need.

I found A1 Plus Electrical through Home Advisors. The first time the electrician came to diagnose and give a estimate he arrived almost 2 hours late with no communication. I agreed to the estimate and scheduled to have 2 attic vent fans replaced. The electrician Alberto arrived on time but without the parts so he had to leave and come back. Alberto was very professional and explained everything.

A transfer switch installed in 2013 (prior to owning a generator) did not work when I needed it to function during the recent bad weather in Houston. David Saldana came out and and determined that the internal wiring in the transfer switch was loose. After tightening all the connections, we tested it with my generator and everything worked as expected. Now I feel much more prepared for the next major power outage we might experience.

We werent able to get the job done because we figured out the problem may be with my appliance not the wiring. Which is a great sign because it means I didn't get charged for a job I may not need to have done.

A1 plus is my go to electrical contractor. they always show up as promised. they are spot on with the estimate. they have installed new outlets, installed a complicated chandelier, installed security lights, repaired rope lights and diagnosed an issue with the fuse box. they seem to be very knowledgeable. they take care with not scratching walls or floors. they clean up afterwards. i highly recommend them and will use them for any future electrical work.

Upon scheduling the service through Amazon on a Wednesday, I requested the two available Saturday timeslots as preference 1 and 2, to prevent inconveniencing either my or my wife's schedule. I selected the following Monday afternoon (2-4 PM) as my third choice, which was the time slot that A-1 Plus confirmed later that day, meaning my wife or I would have to stay home that afternoon.I talked with A-1 Plus at 8:10 AM on Monday morning, and verified that they would be available during the time slot. I also asked if the 24' ceiling would be an issue, to which the lady responded, I do not believe so, but I will check with the electrician and give you a call back. I also confirmed with the lady that there would not be any additional charge for the higher ceiling.After not receiving a call back, I called A-1 Plus at 11:38 AM to confirm that they would be able to perform the install. This time the lady asked for my name and looked up my appointment in the system. She placed me on a brief hold to confirm that the high ceiling would not be a problem, and came back on the line to tell me that all should be fine and they would perform the job on time as scheduled.After my wife stayed at home all afternoon waiting for their arrival, I received a call at 3:42 PM from A-1 Plus stating that they would not be able to perform the job that day because they would need a special ladder. She asked if they could reschedule for the next morning between 9 AM and 11 AM, at which time they would have the correct equipment for the install. Believing that they would be able to install the fan, we accepted the new time, and the fact that one of us would have to miss work again.A-1 Plus arrived shortly after 11:00 AM only to walk into the house and look up at the ceiling and state that they would not be able to install the fan on that height of ceiling. They then measured the ceiling height where the fan was to be swapped and stated that it was a 22' ceiling, which is 2 foot lower than what I had told the and repeatedly confirmed.So after two days of having to stay at home and several phone calls to confirm the details, A-1 Plus now says the best they can do is schedule yet another date for the install, for which they will charge at least $190.00.To me, this is unacceptable business practice

Couldn’t get our doorbell to work. Had multiple electricians come take a look and no one could figure out. A1 figures it out immediately. They fixed the wiring and added the transformer quickly. Great quality service.

Electrical connection and Generac whole house generator has been set up. Natural gas connection to be done on December 2 morning. Gas company will be called when all connections finished to deliver and update to new gas meter.

The technician was very knowledgeable and very informative.

The tech arrived early and that's ok. He appeared to be unsure of what to do. I asked if he needed to go up in the attic he said no,then he later asked where is the entrance to the attic. When he finally finished he did not clean up his mess. As I started to clean up behind him then he said I can help you, WRONG too late.

The installation was very professional, clean and he did a great job!! I will be using them for my electrical needs.

Service was really great and Matt the electrician was nice and friendly but it was very expensive! You can have the best service but it’s worthless if you need to take out loan to pay for it. Your service is great now work harder on pricing
