Jay was able to extract a failed Moen Posi-temp valve cartridge from our daughter's shower that another plumbing company was unable to remove. It had locked up likely from mineral deposits. He replaced the valve cartridge with a new one and was done. The other company had given up on just replacing the cartridge (a $50 part) and said we would have to remove the tile and cement board surrounding the rough-in valve and replace the entire valve (a $120 part). Jay saved us the cost of the rough-in valve replacement (extra labor and part cost) and removing and replacing the tile, let alone the mess and hassle that the tile removal and repair would have created. This is a multigeneration family owned business and while I read the negative reviews from a few years ago, every time I have called them they have come quickly and fixed the AC or plumbing problem quickly. I began using them to fix what another ac guy did when he taped insulation around one of my pipes. Well it wasn't to the standards of the Dallas guy and he redid it free of charge.

Took him about 30 minutes to unclog the drain and replace a drain plug (which I had on hand). He charges $375 to unclog any drain he said. $492 dollars was my total. Seems expensive.

Herndon McFarland was recommended to us via our insurance company. They completely replaced our entire sewage system under our slab foundation. They made quick work of the laborious project, took a lot of time to walk us through the process and options as more things popped up through the project, worked well with our insurance company, completed the work skillfully with neat cleanup after, were polite and always took their shoes off when they came into our house to keep it clean.
