Best Tank Water Heater in Columbus OH

Yesterday, my cleaning ladies accidentally lodged the head of a toilet brush into my toilet.
I called in and was able to get on the schedule right away. Plumber Chad Flack gave me a call this morning about 30 minutes before he arrived. He told me exactly when he would arrive, he showed up 4 minutes ahead of what he advised! Super awesome! Under promise and over deliver.
Plumber Chads demeanor was courteous, respectful and he was cautious when handling the toilet water tools.
He went even further and showed me (if they issue had not been resolved) where I would have seen the problem.

I called around 1pm on a Sunday and was advised there was a 4 hour window of time as to when the plumber would show up. Josh called 30 minutes later and advised he would be there in 10 minutes. Josh was very polite and professional. He listened to my concerns and immediately began to assess the situation. He provided two options to remedy the clog. Overall I was very satisfied with the services provided by Josh.

Collin and his assistant were on time, professional, and installed our new disposal carefully and expertly. We will use Waterworks again if the need arises.

We hired Fritz Baumann to replace a faucet in our kitchen. We live out of state, so we tried to be sure and hire someone trustworthy. Before okaying the installation, I tried to be make sure I understood the cost of the work and the faucet to make sure it was affordable. I was told there is an $80 service fee and $70 an hour for work, so it would be $150. I asked the cost of the faucet and I was told it would be under $200. So with this information I assumed the cost of the work would be $300-$350. The next day I saw on our bank card statement we had been charged a lot more than this. After working with Fritz Baumann I have learned a few things you probably could benefit from knowing.

1. There is an $80 service fee. It DOES NOT go toward labor.

2. The work is $70 an hour, regardless how much of the hour you use. There is no prorating.

3. They will mark up the faucet and parts, which I know is common practice. However, I didn't expect $70. I was told by Fritz Baumann it costs more because it is higher quality. I spoke with Moen and that is NOT the case. If the faucet has the same model number it is EXACT the same as what you can purchase at a home store.

A positive for this company is I believe they do good work and responded quickly. However, I asked to speak to the owner (or manager?) and he didn't call me back for three days. When we spoke my goal was to let him know how the communication I had when setting up the service could have been improved. As an owner of a business I assumed he'd want to know how to improve service to future customers. Unfortunately, he kept telling me they had told me all the above on the phone, which wasn't the case. That was exactly what I was trying to communicate. He told me how they have thousands of happy customers, but I told him they had lost us. His response was, I don't mind losing customers I don't want to work for. Well, that sealed the deal for me. I wasn't ugly and didn't raise my voice on the call. Just simply wanted to let them know how they could improve their communication to avoid customers being surprised by a large bill. But I guess he's pretty confident they've got a good thing going and don't need customers. Sadly, we will not be using this company in the future.

Apex performed a complete house main drain replacement both inside my basement and the outside pipe. Chase handled the indoor work. This was a large job which took a full week to pull water heater and furnace, dig up extensive amounts concrete basement floor to be able to replace the pipe going outside, as well as drain pipe from kitchen. Chase and team were prompt, polite and most importantly made sure I was able to at least use the water in my bathroom sink, toilet, shower before they left each day. Job was completed on schedule and the job site was cleaned up when work was finished. I highly recommend both Chase and Apex Plumbing. I should never have need for a plumber again after this work, but I would definitely use them again.

After our basement flooded,the assessment guy Nathan was great, prompt, friendly and very detailed and walked us thru our options. They gave a followup callback even though i had other options. Luther came next for the estimate. He was a caring & professional and he won me over & ended up doing the job. Quick, thorough and helped me move some things back in place. That young man deserves all the accolades and a big fat raise! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐!! If you're in Cols, O ask for Luther

They are really quick and professional!

A different company came out to look at a clogged floor drain, and things escalated very quickly to them wanting to dig up my house to replace old pipes. They quoted me over $18,000 that they wanted up front, and told me a long as they could find a break in the pipe that insurance would reimburse me. This and many other things they said raised so many red flags, so I told them no and wanted a second opinion.I was put in touch with ARS and John was able to come out the next day. He had me start from the beginning of what the other company told me, and then he ran a camera through the pipes and explained everything he was doing and seeing clearly. He did not see any of the breaks or cracks the other guy allegedly found, and he presented us with multiple solutions of varying costs.There is potentially a very long road ahead of us depending on what he finds once a pipe gets cleared, but we were never pressured into anything and weren't lied to about insurance. To top everything off, I asked John what we owed him for running his camera and taking a second look, and he didn't even hesitate to say he wasn't going to charge us a thing given everything we went through the day before.So thank you, John, for everything you did for us today. We look forward to working with you.

I called saying that water had poured down through my ceiling when shower was being used, and was with out use of my bathroom. Person answering the phone seemed disinterested in my issue, and somewhat annoyed that I even called. She said that it would be a week until they could fit me in, unless I paid after hour rates. Guess I will be moving on to the next number on my list.

I used Mr Rooter to install a new tankless water heater, snake a slow drain and replace 3 outdoor hose bibs. Jason R. was knowledgeable and professional. Their water heater install was comparable in price to other people I know that had a tankless heater installed. The hose bib replacement seemed a little high. However, and this was important to me - they met my scheduling requirements. They were willing to come the same day I called. I will gladly use them again even if some of their services are a little pricier. In the past I've had to wait 3 weeks for local plumbers (if they even call back). That is not an issue with Mr. Rooter. And the workmanship was top notch.

Matt was awesome. He was honest and responsive. Will definitely use again and recommend them highly.

I waited all day believing this company would arrive at the scheduled time of 4:30 pm. These guys did not call or even show up for the appointment that they rescheduled. I called to inquire about what happened and they instructed me to call another plumbing service. Finding another plumber so late in the day is not impossible, but it does create a challenge. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THESE BUMS!!

These guys were great. Plumber just left, got a new garbage disposal installed for a great price. 300 below some places. Plus, they were able to get in 3 days before the scheduled appointment. Would highly recommend.

Very thankful for Jess and her team. She went over the options of what type of piping would be suitable for my home and which would be best during the winter. During the consultation/quote she noticed other issues with the home and showed pictures of the concerns she had. She also pointed out that with my home being an older home it was not up to code on a couple of items. She was very thorough in describing the work that had to be done and I was pleased with what was all included. She showed pictures of all the work that was completed in the crawl space. Knowing beforehand that getting plumbing work done on my home wasn't going to be cheap. I was totally happy with the price of the work that was done and the quality of work that came with it. Chris fielded my call as the service manager on for the weekend. He was kind, courteous and responsive. When his other service tech was going to be a few hours, he went out of his way to help me. As a single mom and business owner, having an emergency plumbing issue was something I needed dealt with in a timely manner - even if it was Saturday. Chris came out quickly, was knowledgeable, and he fixed the problem. He was professional and efficient. He set realistic expectations with me over the phone for timeframe and cost. I appreciated his open communication and overall caring demeanor. I will use this company again, and would recommend them without hesitation!
