Huge thank you to Jason, Joe, and James! Had a tiny kitten stuck in a small underground pipe for 2 days and could not find anyone to help, yet even on a holiday weekend they were amazing! Came right away, stayed so calm and patient in the blinding sun and hot weather and completely problem solving the situation and really saved the day! All of us are so thankful to you, you really are the best!
My wife and I inherited a house and it needed a complete plumbing overhaul and Mr. Rooter was recommended and I received an estimate. I received a 2nd estimate from another plumbing Company and they were a little higher so under pressure from my wife I went with Mr. Rooter. Hine sight is 20 20 I should have had the other plumbing company do the inside and Mr. Rooter do the outside because I was not happy with Mr. Rooter. I have attached pictures of the 2 12”X12” holes Mr. Rooter cut in my brand new drywall without my permission and didn’t fix and the shower faucet they put in crooked. I also felt there should have been 2 estimates for the outside 1 for a full excavation to replace the service line (hard way) and 1 for pulling the service line through (easy way) they were able to pull the service line through (easy way) and still payed for a full excavation. I will not use Mr. Rooter in the future nor will recommend them.

Ben from Mister Rooter did a fantastic job clearing a stubborn clog from my kitchen sink drain. He was courteous , very considerate , very efficient and did a great job to avoid excess water on my cabinet floors or on the hardwood floors. He explained thoroughly what he was doing and made sure I was clear about what he had diagnosed at every step of the process. I highly recommend Ben and would welcome him back into my home for any future repairs. Mister Rooter also was able to get a repair person out within an hour of me scheduling the appointment on a Sunday morning. Hats off to their customer service.
We had what turns out to be a tree root issue in the main drain pipe of our home which was addressed by a different plumbing company less than three months ago causing a backup in our basement. We phoned Mr Rooter, the call was fielded by Martin who was very helpful in explaining by our description of the problem the process of what could be done and the cost associated with the options. We set an appointment for the same afternoon. They were very prompt at the time we had scheduled. We had an awesome experience with Hunter he was very professional and took the time to explain exactly what he was doing. He went well above and beyond to remedy our problem and make us feel comfortable with our choice of repair options the cost was exactly as we discussed on the phone. About the time he was finishing up the person we originally talked to on the phone Martin came by to follow up. Great service and people.We would absolutely recommend them to anyone!

Jared F. responded quickly on a Saturday and worked hard on a serious sewer line clog at our home. Jared was there within a hour of calling Mr. Rooter. He was very kind. Jared made recommendations to us after resolving the issue to prevent reoccurring issues. My wife and I are very happy with the promptness and professionalism. And of course now we have a working bathroom!It was also nice when the manager, Jay, showed up to make sure everything was going smoothly. Jared was doing great but it was nice to see that our issue was important. I would recommend again.

I normally don't go out of my way to leave reviews. But I am making an exception in this case. We had a big leak due to the super cold weather. We called on December 23 and had a technician at our home on Christmas Eve to diagnose and repair what turned out to be a busted valve on our washer, due to the cold weather. I can't say enough about our Technician, Jared. He was super professional and friendly. Overall I was very impressed. I will definitely be using Mr. Rooter in the Future.
We had some parts break in our toilet tank, called Mr. Rooter and they came out same day! The technician was courteous and clean. Our bathroom was a bit disheveled from the issue and the technician left the bathroom cleaner than when he arrived. Service was fast, efficient and good quality work. We’ve used them several times and no matter who they send to our home this has always been the case. Highly recommend.

Will came out to give us a free estimate to reset a toilet. He was very professional-gave us the estimate- and was able to fix the toilet right there and then. When I asked if there would be a discount he could apply (my husband is a veteran), Will was able to apply a Yellow Pages one. Our problem was solved and we are very satisfied. We would not hesitate to use Mr. Rooter again.
Jason quickly identified the issues set forth a plan, explained it to me, then initiated what needed to be done speaking to my husband explaining what he was going to do. The cost of repair was very reasonable it took about 2 hrs, he was very tidy. I was unaware of the need for annual maintenance so I will be calling for the maintenance.
I've used Mr. Rooter several times and have been impressed. However, this time, they were terrible. Pushy sales people, lack of communication, they left open sewer lines open in our house overnight, leaking pipes, no clean up: dirty drain sludge on our walls. After calling them for over a week, they still didn't seem to care about our family or any inconveniences they caused at all. One technician/manager was really nice and seemed to care (James), but he was the only one. I had to practically beg for some sort of discount after they wrecked out lives for a week. I suggest no one ever hires them again.

This place is amazing. I had over 20k worth of sewer work done and I actually feel like I got what was expected out of the work done. Joe and Jordan were the 2 that blew me away. The work that was done was beautiful. I I've used contractors that have treated us bad and the workmanship was garage. The craftsmanship that was performed here was master class.i would and have suggested this company.ask for joe if you want a good worker.
Jamie Hence was EXTREMELY professional, knowledgeable, punctual and explained the process from beginning to completion. He continued to keep us uodated on progress and worked neatly and despite having to cut the drywall, he did so very neatly while opening what was necessary. Its was so impressive to see a young man with these attributes and willing to provide customer focused service! I highly recommend Mr Hence and will definately contact him for any future plumbing issues!

DO NOT USE!! I had a pipe freeze and called because my typical plumber could not come out. The pipe had not burst and rather than risk it I decided to pay a ”professional“ to come thaw it out for me. Neither toilet or shower would work. By the time they left I had a hole in my basement wall which they charged me $1800 for and left all the stone laying in my basement. They essentially created a window in my basement and made no attempt to block it when they left. The man said he couldn’t figure out how the plumbing in my house was run and that he couldn’t fix the shower or toilet. I tried to explain how it was connected (bathroom is right above kitchen and the plumbing lines connect. I know because of work with previous plumber) and he told me no I was wrong. He charged me $2000 for the call and told me to go stay with someone because he couldn’t fix the problem. Two days later had a different company come out and they fixed the problem in less than an hour and charged me 350. When I explained what had happened with Mr.Rooter I was told that they work on commission and that I was taken advantage of by the employee. We have tried to reach out to the company for a refund but have not had success. DO NOT USE!!

Very good experience. We had a problem with the outdoor draining of the sump pump system line and breakdown in the outdoor piping for sump pump drain. The line had root debris and needed to be jetted and piping pressure caused the piping to collapse. Mr. Rooter came in and did a great repair job. No complaint as of the present. The service were very professional. Explained the problems and also took me out to view the problem on camera. As I stated at present I am very pleased with the results. Thanks Mr. Rooter!!!

Our main drain backed up so we called Mr. Rooter and they came out the next day since the drain was not an emergency. When they came out and inspected the line, they informed me that we have some collapse of the drain due to our tree. They provided a reasonable rate to reroute out drain and ensure the tree will not be a problem in the future.
My kitchen water pipes needed to have some work on them. I called based on other good reviews and was not disappointed. Very prompt and fixed the issue within an hr. I will definitely use again when needed.

The service technicians that showed up were very professional. They listened to my concerns about the process they were going to use to clean the sewer line. They completely cleaned up the basement floor after cleaning the drain. Very happy with their service and the cost was very reasonable.
Brandon and team were very prompt, professional and knowledgeable. They explained options and allowed me to make decisions with no pressure or upsale. Great honest team. Matt showed up to my house within 30 minutes of calling them and I must say he was awesome. He explained everything to me and did a wonderful job in a timely manner. In the future if I have anymore trouble and need a plumber, they will be the people I call for sure.
We had had water in our basement consistently after very heavy rains, and eventually we came home to sewage backup too. Jimmy from Mr. Rooter informed me that I would need to replace 30 feet of sewer line for ~$12000. He asserted that faulty sewer line was also to blame for the wet basement and that it would be dry after replacement. Two years later, there is still water in the basement, and more than I have every seen before at this point.Additionally, they completely destroyed my front yard during the installation, did not remove the old, demolished lines before throwing all of the soil back in a big uneven heap. This ensured that none of the foliage would regrow, and no new plants would grow without replacing the first 12 inches of soil on the right 50% of the plot.My friend, who bought her home a year ago, had an almost identical experience with a Mr. Rooter team lead by the same man who was the lead point on the work at my place.Get a second opinion before you write a check to anyone at this company.

Wow.. absolute crooks! They convinced my 86 year old grandma that $800.00 for one toilet remove and replace was a good price. They cannot be trusted. I am so disappointed. The toilet was about $200.00 - $300.00, so charging a little old lady $500.00 for two hours of service is RIDICULOUS.So dishonest, and untrustworthy. If you see this review, call your family and tell them to stay far away from this crooked establishment!

My plumber of 20 yrs. recently retired. Mr. Rooter & plumber employee Sam are my new replacement go to! I do not have city water/sewage. Sam's knowledge of my archaic septic system was formidable and more impressive where the diognostics techniques used and the physical labor involved to remedy the sewage filling my basement. My initial call at 3:45pm. was answered with excellent customer service. Sam's promised arrival that day was followed up w/ consist communication. Sam and the additional staff required did not give up after 1st,2nd,3rd remedy proved to not be the problem. After tracking 127 yards in snow, wet, and dark to jet my exit point at the creek the price remained the same as the initial quote. I'm amazed and a customer for life.Thank you Mr. Rooter and Sam. Manager Chad saved the day when the work completed by a very nice, hardworking young man just needed a few small adjustments after some repairs were made. Chad made a quick stop later in the day to check it out and then tightened the nuts on our new and old valves which saved us the expense of an additional service call to fix another leak.
I was very pleased with pretty much everything. Was a little pricey but it had to get done. I was happy at how fast he got here. Now I have piece of mind. ??

Matt was a life saver! I accidentally flushed my wedding band down the toilet AND HE GOT IT BACK!!!!! I almost cried and I was so distraught when it happened, but he told me he would try his best to get it. I would absolutely recommend this company and Matt is the best!

The service man showed up to relight my gas water heater in about 15 minutes, even before the appointment time. Explained the problem so I was confident in the billing and service.

While disconnecting outdoor hose for the winter I heard a snap and the sound of water rushing into the basement. I had to shut the water off to the house as there was no shut off valve. That was 2pm on a Saturday. I called several other plumbers and was put on a wait list for Monday.From the first interaction when they picked up the phone there was no doubt they understood going 2 days without water wasn’t really an option. They took all my information and said they’d send the next available technician out. I was expecting Saturday night. He was at my house at 430PM.He took a look gave me options to fix it. Explained in depth why it broke and within. A couple of hours had water back onIt’s been awhile since I’ve been able to leave a 5 star review. But from initial contact right through job completion was handled flawlesslyThanks for a job well done and restoring faith in customer service

We had several issues and multiple repairs......ejection pump replacement, water leak repair, humidifier line replacement. Everything was done in a timely, and expert fashion. Joe Priest was our plumber and he is the best I've ever used. I would also note that the charges were very reasonable and probably half of what Roto Rooter would charge. I highly recommend this company

I called this company for replacing the floor ring on my rental house toilet. They got all my information, addresses, name and phone number I was told I am going to receive a bill if I decided to let them do the job.I left the place and their technician showed up a little later, he estimated to replace the ring for $523, for a small job. And he wanted the payment up front because I wasn’t there. I told him I was supposed to receive a bill after he was done, but he said I have to pay it first before he start the job because I wasn’t there. So I had to pay. He called me less than an hour and he was done.So for a less than an hour job they charge me $523. Their customer service lied that I will receive a bill after the job is done.I don’t recommend this company, and I won’t call them again.

Woke up this morning to water dripping from the kitchen ceiling! Yikes! Called Mr Rooter at 8:45 and Mike W was at our door at 9:55! That, in itself was amazing! Mike assessed the problem, and advised the process! It was a wax seal on a toilet that didn’t want to come off. He replaced the seal and that was that. Mike is a great representative of Mr. Rooter! He is honest, patient, very professional, knowledgeable, and I’d have him back anytime! Thanks so so much!
They were mixed up about the time, so I ended up waiting many hours. But when the guy finally came, he wasn't GREAT! Very thorough in diagnosing and explaining the problem to me, both before and after completing the work. I am satisfied.

There needs to be a clear delineation between a consultation and a diagnostic. I was told that a consultation was free and so the gentleman showed up and apparently what he actually did was a diagnostic review which cost me over $100. I did not appreciate that bait and switch. It may not be intentional, but there needs to be a very clear line between what those two activities entail so that customers can be clearly advised before the diagnostic begins and can be aware of whether or not they will be incurring a cost at the end of the visit.

Water Heater was found with a significant leak about 10:00 PM the night before Memorial Day. Called on Memorial Day and technician arrived within the hour and replaced the heater in less than 3 hours.
We had a huge backup in our kitchen sink. They were able to get us on the schedule the next day. The technician was prompt and got the problem fixed quickly. I have used Mr. Rooter many times before and they always provide excellent service.
Installed sink, faucet and garbage disposal. On time, had necessary tools and supplies, went right to work. Job well done, did cleanup nicely. Seemed a little pricey, but it should be worth it to have the job done right (with 90 day guarantee)

We called Roto Rooter late in the evening and did not expect them to come out the very next day, let alone first thing in the morning. Matt Dickson was our tech. He was on time, professional, knowledgeable and got the job done. He even asked if we wanted him to put the items back under the sink. How nice of him, but we took care of that. I'm just glad our leak was repaired and he was able to accommodate installing the new faucet we had scheduled to be replaced for the following Monday by another contractor.Thanks Matt!

Our water heater sprung a leak on Tuesday, and Mr. Rooter was here around an hour after I called to request service. The dispatcher sent an email informing us that our technician would be Torrey, and even included a photograph, something I found very reassuring and thoughtful. Torrey was absolutely outstanding- very polite, very careful about our home/not making messes, and happy to answer all of our questions. The quote he provided was so reasonable that I didn't feel any need to get other bids, and our new water heater was completely installed and everything was tidied up by lunchtime on Wednesday! Before he left, Torrey took the time to review the work he performed and the warranty, and to answer my questions about maintenance. It's only been a few days but the new water heater is working splendidly, far better than our old one had been since we bought our house.I'm no expert on plumbing, but I know how I like to be treated. I am very grateful for how Torrey and Mr. Rooter treated my home and family- he was even great with our dogs!- and if we need further service they'd absolutely be our first call. Five grateful stars!

I'd like to express my satisfaction with Mr. Rooter and its staff. I called on Monday morning related to a plumbing leak discovered on Sunday evening. Mr. Rooter was able to get a plumber to my house that morning. Juan arrived on time, was very friendly, and very informative. He made sure I understood what the problem was and the options available to fix the problem. He was able to fix the problem quickly and explained some tips to avoid issues in the future. Brandon was awesome! We have cast-iron pipes and they apparently get a sludge type build up which causes horrid backups into he kitchen sink, everytime the water was running in the sink. Brandon came out and jetted the pipes ( I believe that's the correct term )and I have had zero backups since he finished. We live about a hour from their shop and they didn't charge a trip fee and he did a excellent job. He was the third plumber to come out but he was the only one to actually fix it! Thank you so much!!!!

Ben and Derrick came out, each on separate days, for an emergency shower leakage issue that was quite a process. They both (the entire company) were easy to work with and more than willing to explain what needed to happen and where the original plumbers who rehabbed our place had gone wrong. I wasn't going to leave a review, but after my discovery yesterday, I felt it was necessary. Had to have a plumber come out and unclog our main sewer line. Moved my washer dryer and Depp freezer out from the wall so he could get the to pipe and do what he needed. I left everything plugged in. This was last week. Didn't think much of it. Been downstairs to use the washer and dryer multiple times. However, today we went down to put some meat in our deep freeze as we hadn't stocked any in a couple of weeks. We have an upstairs freezer we use from first so we hadn't touched the deep freeze in at least two weeks. Went down to discover he had unplugged it for his camera or something and DIDNT PLUG IT BACK IN. We lost at least $200 in meat, including the turkey we had just bought before that for Thanksgiving this year. Oh- and he left his jacket too.

Late Friday I discovered I had propane leak when converting to natural gas. Leaks had to be fixed before they would hang a meter and called Friday late afternoon and made an appt for Saturday morning. Your tech came 8:30 am and worked for 3 hours fixing 7 leaks!! Thrilled for the fast and thorough service but price was hard wo swallow.

We had a clog in our basement drain and Mr. Rooter was recommended to me. I called and was able to get scheduled within a reasonable amount of time. They fixed the problem and ensured everything was good before leaving. My only complaint was that they told me one time frame when scheduling and then the day of told me a different one.
Great response on a Sunday afternoon. Brandon was very professional and worked diligently to find the problem with my sewer line. I was given an estimate on each service so I knew exactly what I was paying for. Thanks for a job well done!

Came out and checked my lines for a clog, the first part of the bill was $888 for that day, they found a broken pipe in my front yard with their camera cost nearly $14,000, after that was replaced they ran a cleaner through the lines to clean the cast iron and they found another hole in the pipe which wasn't there before the cleaning or they didn't find the first time closer to the house which ended up costing another $9,800. I told them to leave the pile of dirt in the front yard and two days later I asked him to take it they called in said a truck would be in the neighborhood next week and they would take the dirt. Just got off the phone with them it's been nearly 4 weeks they have not taken the dirt they told me that I was supposed to take care of it I explained to them the conversation I had with their employees I'm waiting to speak with a manager. The high impact sales didn't give us time to get a second quote they acted like if we didn't do it we wouldn't be able to use our plumbing, they even told us we shouldn't use toilet paper for the 5 days while we were waiting for them to come and replace the broken line outside the house. They told us as well that insurance wouldn't help at all because it was our fault or just age in the pipes.

Had the main drain lines bottom burst, had the old cast piping replaced with new PVC, 2 toilets and a new bathroom floor to replace the one jackhammered out. The work done was great Mitch was actually my plumber he was knowledgable and good to work with, the only complaint I have is my front storm door now no longer closes properly.Update. So I thought everything was done nice and proper at the time it was done, couldn't have been more wrong, a few weeks later after doing a sink full of dishes I started to notice it draining slow, walked downstairs and seen water coming up through the shower drain, needless to say the lines that I was told to my face when I got home were cleaned out had not been touched, I know they weren't touched because there was still a silicone bead around the kitchen trap.Long overdue update- They fixed the issue by sending a tech out and getting everything done right within 24hrs

Our leaky shower faucet repair turned into a stressful situation. I won’t even begin to list my complaints about that tech, but I’ll our biggest issue was that he started the job late in the day (after 4pm), wasn’t experienced enough to remove the stuck cartridge, so we had to leave our main water supply turned off until he could come back the following day to cut a hole in our wall and install a new valve. Well, due to his apparent lack of experience and preparation, we were leery about letting him cut into our wall and pipes.We called Mr. Rooter and explained the situation. The representative assured me that all of their technicians are very experienced and have been with the company at least 2 years, and that she could schedule someone in the next 2 hours. About 15 minutes after we scheduled, a supervisor contacted me and informed me that they could actually dispatch someone immediately.Matt Berger of Mr. Rooter arrived during the expected timeframe, quickly assessed the situation and went over the best and worst-case scenarios and price ranges. It was clear that he knew what he was doing, and that he was putting in *maximum effort* to salvage our parts and save us money. Unfortunately one of the parts was too far gone. Instead of having us buy the parts in pieces (like the other guy was recommending), Matt made us aware that we could save money and time by just buying a kit (in fact, he ran to the store and grabbed it for us! I just told him the finish we liked.) We kept offering food and drinks, but this man did not rest until the job was done - in fact, he didn’t even rest when he was finished. Hopefully he got some rest after he left our home, because he certainly deserved it.

From the moment Alyssa answered the phone til Billy and Jason completed my job, it was nothing but GREAT! I spoke to Alyssa first and she dispatched Billy to my house in less than an hour. Billy told me my options and also noted a potential safety hazard with my water heater that required me to get a flue cleaning. I wasn't able to do that until much later in the day, after I'd already decided to go with a different water heater. However, I got the flue cleaned and called back to the office and spoke to Alyssa, who assured me that she would make sure that Jason would bring a tank water heater for me and not the tankless that I thought I was going to have to buy. Jason arrived promptly at 8am and was very friendly, thorough, and professional. He showed me all the knobs and levers and how to use the igniter on the unit. I can not thank these 3 individuals enough; Alyssa for being extra patient and responsive on the phone, and for Billy and Jason being so good at their jobs! Three cheers!!!!

Called Mr Rooter after my sewer main was backing up. They were out within an hour. Torrey was professional as could be. He was prompt and explained everything perfectly. Got my line cleared in no time.
The phone call answered with in secs and the technician was on time. He unclogged the kitchen drain. The quality of work was great. My husband and I were very pleased with the service we received.

We were told we had a 'bellied line'. We had never heard of this, so we called several companies for second opinions and to compare quotes. Mr. Rooter best described the issue (showed us on camera). Josh did a great job explaining the scope of the work and we chose Mr. Rooter as a result of his professionalism and Mr. Rooter's guarantee. The company sent a technician named Will Huffman. I cant speak highly enough of how Will represented his brand. His professionalism, his workmanship and the care he took to protect the areas of our home that he came in contact with were recognized and appreciate! During the noisy parts of his work or doing the brief times the facilities were down, Will gave us plenty of notice to ensure we were prepared and comfortable. At the end of the project, the area was left impeccable! It was a costly repair, however the financing options were helpful. I am very satisfied with the work done on my home! I have never used the business, but for one reason and one reason only. I have heard from seriously 8+ people that have worked there about how horrible the lady that owns it is and how horrible she treats people. I find it crazy that i have heard the exact thing so much from so many different people. I only feel its fair for people to know that we need to stick together and help one another with how society is now and its not ok to treat people bad and act “better than”. As a women in plumbing, true plumbers don’t deserve that treatment. Its hard to find good people to work and it sounds like she don't appreciate her workers. Don't give your hard earned money to businesses that don't deserve it.

I had an appointment between 12-2 pm. i got called twice saying they were running behind. On the third call, they cancelled my appointment. They wasted my whole days for an appointment they never should have scheduled and I'm still left with a plumbing issue that needs immediate attention. I called and spoke to a manager who could have cared less. I would not recommend this company.
the first service call was not a good one, but the supervisor sent a second service call for no charge to correct the short coming.

I called on Saturday afternoon and within an hour, they were at my property. The man looked over the problem, confirmed that I wanted it fixed and he cleared the clog, and gave a full detail of what he did. Then he followed the repair with pictures and a short video to assure me it was running clear. I was completely satisfied!! Call Mr Rooter! He’s my new plumber!
Main drain line in basement was clogged and leaking, Matt from Mr. Rooter replaced it along with some other plumbing that had been done wrong by a shady
contractor in the past. Fast, courteous, and knowledgeable, he did a great job at a reasonable price.
After a drain backup in our basement, we got a couple of estimates for repair of the problem. Mr. Rooter was the more economical and workable option (no tearing up the basement floor!). Aaron, who described to us the process of descaling and hydro-jetting the main line, was very clear and forthright in his explanations. We knew what to expect and when. When the excavation descaling/hydro-jetting team came a few days later, they were very thorough and cleaned up after themselves. We were satisfied that the job was done professionally and correctly. I was vey pleased with Matt the technician. He tried everything before I decided to install a new sump pump system was the best solution. Matt was fast and efficient with the work. I can not say enough good things about Matt and the service I received. I would use them again.
Mitch was super helpful, even told me what I can and can’t use on my drains to help unclog them. He was nice enough to show me what part was broken under the sink (which then ended up not being the issue after he accessed what was the problem). Worked around my issues in the house as in no electric in half the house but he used his own light source and was helpful! Definitely recommend Mitch.
We had a gas leak and needed someone to come out asap. Mr. Rooter was able to come out an hour after we called (all the other plumbing businesses were booked).Dustin was very pleasant and kind and work very hard to find the location of the gas leak. He took his time and explained everything to my husband. He was very knowledgeable. He worked all day and kept a positive professional attitude the whole time. I cannot say enough positive things about our experience with Mr. Rooter. After placing a service request online at 9:30pm, I received a call from a friendly, knowledgeable associate named Jeff within 5 minutes. Jeff booked us for the next morning between 8-10. We received a call at 7:30am that Matt would be there shortly. He arrived just after 8:00am. Matt is a huge asset to this company. He was friendly, informative, organized, and conscientious. He worked diligently and successfully unclogged our kitchen sink. He thoroughly cleaned up when he was finished. Calling a plumber is not something any of us want to do, but if you need someone, I highly recommend Mr. Rooter.
Had a new sump drain pipe installed along with a new sump pump and hot water heater. Everything was done in a very timely and professional manner. Didn't get the names of those working outside digging the ditch and laying the drain pipe. They were respectful of the landscaping and quick to answer any questions we had. Alex did the inside plumbing and, like the outside crew, was very professional and thorough. A few months after the water heater was installed it developed a sulfur smell. After following the suggestions in the material that came with it, the smell remained. I contacted Mr. Rooter and Akex came the next day, did an assessment and gave us an estimate. The ordered parts came the next day and Alex came the following day, a Saturday, and took care of the problem. Alex is impressive in his knowledge of his profession and the manner he conducts himself as a representative of Mr. Rooter. We are very satisfied with all the work and employees of Mr. Rooter, even the people I encountered during the phone calls. Mr. Rooter is the only phone number anyone needs for the best service and a job done right!
ALWAYS GET A SECOND OPINION if they recommend pipe replacements. In my case, the sales guy was using high pressure tactics during all my encounters with him. More details on our situation below. If you are looking to get a clog cleared, their pricing is really high, but they at least offer a warranty and can work on weekends.####We experienced a sewage backup in our basement on a Sunday. Mr. Rooter was able to come to our home quickly, so we went with them. The tech arrived and told us they would need to do a hydro flush. That, plus the camera work, was going to cost +$1K. I said I saw online the average cost was lower, so when the sales guy arrived, he threw in the camera work for free since he was already there. The cost for the service ended up being closer to $850 with a 1 yr warranty. During the camera assessment (prior to the clog being cleared), the sales guy kept telling us this was the worst clog he'd ever seen. He then went on to say we needed to replace our exterior clay pipes to best protect ourselves from this happening again. And kept reminding us the Holidays are coming up and that the last thing we would want is to deal with another issue like this while we had guests over. I told him that because they offer a 1 yr warranty on the hydro flush, we would prefer to see what happens and asked him to send us a quote for the pipe replacement. We never received that quote.A few weeks later we called a local plumbing company to come out and camera snake our pipes to get a second opinion. The guy said our pipes looked great - especially given their age.When the clog came back ~4 months later, we called Mr. Rooter again since we had the 1 yr warranty on the hydro flush. Same sales rep came to the house. He basically said - I told you this would happen, you need new pipes. He and his crew spent over an hour assessing the situation and said the work would cost ~$19K PLUS the cost of concrete because they'd have to rip up a lot of our driveway. He used sleazy sales tactics, calling his boss to get the price down and such. I told him that given the cost, we would need to get additional estimates. He kept telling me what other companies would come in at and that they were the best and cheapest - and that others probably wouldn't want to touch our job because it was so complicated. I told him to email me the quote. He did this time. To their credit, Mr. Rooter did clear our clog again and at no cost to us thanks to the 1 yr warranty.It has now been over 2 years and we have not had an issue with the pipes. Know why? We needed to stop using flushable wipes and change our toilet paper to a brand that breaks down easier.

Jesse was very pleasant and knowledgeable. He worked hard and really did a great job. I just have a couple of issues. As a repairman you should have all tools needed to do the job. This is the second time I have had something installed and in the middle of the job I am told I got to run to the hardware store ??? Also, when you are having a conversation with potential clients you do not take a phone call and have a long conversation with someone else. That is just rude. Especially if that client is about to spend $2000.00 worth of work from your company. I think your phone call can wait.
My experience with Mr. Rooter was exceptional. The pro (Jamie) who did the installation was great. He was courteous and very professional at all times. I would highly recommend Mr. Rooter and I will use them for all my plumbing needs in the future. They respond quickly when contacted, and are true to their word.
Mr. Rooter provided great professional service when installing new downspout lines on my property. They were friendly, they cleaned up after the job and even followed up the following week to make sure everything was OK. We highly recommend this company!

Thanks so much to Chad, Rodney, Dan and their team members for helping us. We thought our job was going to be a simple install of faucets and a new toilet but it turned quickly into a nightmare when they removed the toilet. They found that when our home was built, apparently the person who tiled our bathroom dumped grout and residue down our toilet clogging up the bottom of it and all through our drain pipe down 3 floors. They worked diligently to clean the pipe and fix all our issues. They did not give up until the job was done and completed correctly. I can't thank them enough and would recommend them highly for the pride they took in their work.
I've been building a plumbing to-do list for almost 5 years. Finally, I couldn't delay anymore. I needed someone to replace toilets, sinks, and shutoff valves. In addition, the kitchen sink faucet dripped and the tub wasn't draining. I contacted Mr. Rooter using the yellow pages and they sent Derrick out the next day. I expected he would tell me to do some shopping and call again. Instead, he jumped into project manager-mode, created a bill of materials and a fixed-price estimate in an hour. Then he took off for the hardware store and returned with everything needed to do the jobs. When he returned, he steadily installed each fixture - wrapping up the same day. Derrick impressed me because of his attention to detail, communication skills, breadth of knowledge and steady progress.
They replaced our water softener. I was impressed with the service, especially Brandon. He went above and beyond to make sure the job was done right and the area was clean. He was amazing!!
Had Mr. Rooter come out to camera inspect a line and clean it out. The crewmen Jesse and Chris were very professional and efficient. The total job cost about $1k - we had to have Aaron come out to run an M-Scope and locate the lines. We ended the job, paid and was happy.We decided to have the company who is doing our concrete demo the drainage out which is under concrete - for this we would need the lines located again and marked. We’d happily pay Mr. Rooter to have this done. I received a call from Aaron who told me he, “doesn’t locate lines for other businesses…” Irregardless of me paying Mr. Rooter to mark the lines for demo and eventually hiring Mr. Rooter to lay new drain lines…This isn’t a good way to do business or treat customers. I’d recommend taking your money to a Columbus plumbing company who would actually value it and you as a customer.Tl;dr, wanted to hire Mr. Rooter to locate lines, was refused business because, “we don’t locate lines for other companies” even though I wanted to pay them…

So thankful for Mr Rooter! Called Mr Rooter on Sunday morning after calling another company that would not come out until 2 days later, Mr Rooter customer service was helpful. The crew came out right away same day and gave free estimate. They jetted the drains and showed us the camera. Gave us options of snake or jet and got us back up and running same day until we can have our outside repaired. Going with the jet option is better because it totally cleans the whole drain and you see the camera. We are having them repair our outside sewage pipes that are filled with roots and crushed terracotta in a couple days that we could see with the camera. Torrey H was professional and easy to talk to. He did a great job and was very thorough. We did not feel pressured to use the company or not. The estimator lives in town near us and was easy to work with and once we get our system fully fixed, we will leave reviews on that work.
Kitchen sink had a leak. Joe McCULLOCH was very polite and checked our sink. He knew the problem almost instantly. Gave us a heads up with the issue. I would recommend them in a heartbeat.
Our kitchen drain was badly clogged and we needed service on a Sunday. I actually called at 9:45 PM on Saturday night and the receptionist helped us set up an appointment that worked within our schedule around guests we were expecting. Torrey, our technician, was on time, very nice and respected our home by wearing shoe covers and a mask. He worked very hard for an hour and a half trying to clear (successfully) our drain issue and cleaned up any mess that was left afterwards. We thought the pricing was very reasonable and will use Mr. Rooter again if we should need plumbing services.

Great experience! My husband and I were very impressed with Mr. Rooter. When I called, Zach was very nice and it was very easy to schedule our appointment. We were given a 2 hr window (1-3pm), which is so refreshing and a nice change from other company's 4 hr windows. We even got a call to let us know that our technician, Jay, was on his way. He arrived right at 1pm, very punctual and much appreciated. Jay was pleasant and professional. He did an excellent job replacing our hot water tank, great care and attention to detail (even wearing little booties). Would highly recommend Mr. Rooter!

Joe was great! The expansion tank above the water heater sprung a leak so I called Mr Rooter immediately. I was fortunate enough to have the magnet from the phone book on my refrigerator for quick reference. Needless to say, the job was completed professionally on a Sunday. Also, Technician Joe was at my condo within the hour, with face mask, and completed the job in no time at all. Joe was very knowledgeable and professional in every way. He even recommended a mold treatment specialist to look over the water damage who works well with insurance. Thanks again!!! 5 stars!!. The price was quite reasonable and well performed.

Great experience! We have used Mr Rooter many times over the last year for various concerns. Rodney L. was the Tech today and did a fantastic job of communicating with my husband and listening to our concerns. He was professional and thorough. Highly recommend!
I used Mr Rooter to install a new tankless water heater, snake a slow drain and replace 3 outdoor hose bibs. Jason R. was knowledgeable and professional. Their water heater install was comparable in price to other people I know that had a tankless heater installed. The hose bib replacement seemed a little high. However, and this was important to me - they met my scheduling requirements. They were willing to come the same day I called. I will gladly use them again even if some of their services are a little pricier. In the past I've had to wait 3 weeks for local plumbers (if they even call back). That is not an issue with Mr. Rooter. And the workmanship was top notch.

Mr. Rooter was recommended by a good neighbor who also used their services. Tech was very professional and friendly. He not only cleared the drain, but also mad a minor repair to a drain pipe the previous house owner had incorrectly installed.
We had a technician come on the 9th and unclog our toilet for $405 that was stated in the estimate, and the technician stated that only the toilet was clogged and no other issues were determined. A few days later, the toilet overflowed and we had called under the 30 day warranty and the same technician came out and supposedly unclogged it again, even though we didn’t use the toilet since he came out the first time, and insisted we get a new pressurized toilet system for $1000. I then called the manager and asked why the tech had quoted $405 for only unclogging, if he unclogged it, why did it overflow the second time and now suggest we pay another $1000. The manager, Mark, had then said he would send a supervisor out to run a camera once more to make sure it was unclogged as promised before the 30 day warranty is up and we end up having to pay extra with no resolution. The day Mark has scheduled from 10am-12pm, no one shows. I called the office and they said he never had it booked in the appointments. When I called, they picked up and hung up on me. Needless to say, waste of money and time very unprofessional service. Money is not easy to come by to get scammed.

Mr. Rooter saved the day for the second time at our house. Amazed at how quickly the technician (Keenan) arrived (within an hour of scheduling). He had to hammer out an improperly installed shower faucet cartridge that had finally stopped working (we could not turn the water on). Very pleased with speedy, competent service.
Called Mr Rooter (and 03 others) on Sunday 5AM for a backed up kitchen sink. Was contacted by Megan (Owner) by 8AM that morning. She was very nice and stated she could have a plumber out within a couple of hours.By 9AM(ish), Steve was at the house ready to mitigate the issue. He was very professional/personable and explained what would be done along with theservice cost. About an hour later, I had clear drainage and a new pipe which was very much in need of replacement. He provided some very useful preventative maintenance information when asked and insured everything was clean and clear upon leaving.To have someone available on a Sunday morning Same Day and to have the owner (no answering service) call and set up the appointment is rare and I feel an outstanding example of staying in touch with the customer.Will definitely call again if/when needed. Called Mr Rooter because our drains were clogged and backing up. Josh from Mr. Rooter came out and barely looked at anything before telling me he needed a special type of machine to break through the clog. He said it was some type of a high pressure water hose that would keep them from damaging our lines and it would cost $695.00!!! He said a regular snake would mess up the lines. The next morning, Josh comes back to clear the drain, he starts working on it with a smaller snake while waiting for the crew to come with the high pressure water tool. Josh made sure to take me outside and show me a very large drain snake and explain why he couldn’t use the big one and why we needed the high pressure water tool. The crew with the high pressure tool came along with the sales manager, Jimmy ??? My drive way is now filled with 3-4 Mr. Rooter vehicles and several plumbers now. Josh was working on this for HOURS. He showed me lots of tree roots he removed with the small snake, not the high pressure thing. I had to leave as they continued to work and came back to Jimmy showing me an indistinguishable video stating our lines were “nonexistent” and had “rotted away completely”, all of our sewage was going straight into the ground and would cause major issues if not fixed immediately. He wanted to tear up my sidewalk outside (which they would not repair) and basement floor. Also, the water line would more than likely need replaced because he guaranteed after the job it would leak so that was added to the bill as well. If they accidentally hit the gas line or anything else they would not be responsible for repairs or costs. This work needed done “immediately”, according to Jim. The bill? $17,000!!!!! If you can’t afford that don’t worry because they will let you apply for a loan on the spot. Do not be fooled, they are scammers and should be shut down!! By the way, after the tree roots were removed our plumbing is working just fine and we have never had any other signs (such as smell or water waste) of sewage leaking. A couple of days later I noticed that our basement window where they shoved their high pressure machine through now has a large crack in it. This window was recently replaced, which I have a receipt for. I contacted Mr. Rooter about this issue through email and they have never responded to me. Yet, it was very easy for them to send me an email of the $17,000 bill for the work that they wanted to complete.

I am the General Manager of a local hvac company so I know what good service is and Mr. Rooter came through. I was extremely pleased with this company start to finish. They're CSR's we're very responsive, their manager came out to assess my situation and the technician was friendly, informative and cleaned up. As far as I can tell the Technician did the job well and went above and beyond. I will recommend Mr. Rooter to all of my friends and anyone I run across that needs plumbing services.

A little pricey. But in an emergency and on a Sunday he was there quick.
Called for emergency service on what turned out to be the busied day of the year.... the great Friday flood. My call was expertly handled and we were booked immediately. Alex, our Mister, was here when promised. Replaced our 25 year old water heater and our dead sump pump. Went without a hitch faster than we thought possible. Left the repair sites in immaculate condition. All costs presented up front, no surprises. The price was reasonable and customary but the service and communications were outstanding. I am a retired forensic psychologist and specialized in lie detection and behavior evaluation. I chose Mr. Rooter after seeing their TV commercials featuring owner, Megan McKay. Honesty and sincerity. That goes for our Mister as well. Trust me....I know these things. Money can’t buy that kind of piece of mind.
The technician showed up on time. He was clean and cleaned his area after he completed his work. He was timely and explained everything that he had to do and gave us the ability to have a couple of options to reduce the cost of the repair. I was very pleased and my wife was very pleased with the work. It was worth every dime.

Service was good, they did fine. BUT way overpriced!! I had to get someone to come do a sewer scope inspection (they simply put a camera on a wire down the pipe to see if it’s clogged or damaged) for a house I am on contract to buy. A typical sewer scope is maybe $150-200… It was $405 at Mr. Rooter. I feel taken advantage of because they would not give me a quote over the phone and knew I had a deadline to get this done. If I had more time I would have said no and found someone else. Save your money and use someone else!
I reached out to have my vent stack cleaned/cleared. They came out and quoted a price to do so, and proceeded to not address the vent stack, waste time in their van doing nothing and suggest progressively more elaborate services that were non-related to my request. The issue I called them for was not addressed at all and I had to pay for the guy to sit in his van for an hour talking to his 'supervisor'. Terrible and unprofessional experience that wasted my time and money.

Discovered overflowing toilet in basement about 4 pm on Saturday. Although we successfully cleared the clog on our own, tank would not fill. Mr. Rooter was the only emergency plumbing service I called where a human being answered. The lady I spoke to immediately dispatched my request to Billy who arrived within an hour and fixed the toilet within 15 minutes. While he was here, he also fixed the shower faucet. Our toilet and shower faucet have never worked better. He explained that neither had been installed correctly (we'd put up with their quirks for the past five years). We are super pleased with the repairs, response in our time of need, and very reasonable pricing! Highly recommended!

Dustin was very professional and thorough! He made sure my husband and I both completely understood what the issue was and let us know what needed to be completed in order to fix the problem. Mr. Rooter may charge more than other crews, but they came when we needed them and worked till completion. Anybody else we tried couldn't fit us in for two or more weeks. When your sewer lines are failing, two weeks is not ideal.Will and all the Mr. Rooter employees who worked with us were professional, skilled, affable, respectful, and very hard workers. We couldn't be more pleased to a.) have our sewer issue resolved, b.) have had such a good result, and c.) were fortunate enough to have Will assigned to our work project. Diagnosing and fixing sewer issues is a dirty, labor intensive job but I'm thankful we were able to get help without delay; our crisis happened just before Thanksgiving, of course. Will carefully explained each step and answered every question. He worked tirelessly and with the utmost care. He cleaned up the work site when he was finished. I appreciate every detail. Give him a raise!! :)
Mr. Rooter had a technician out to the house less than 12 Hours from my call. The tech was very professional and the job was well done. The price was as I was expected for a short notice Sunday service.
Bought a house with out of code plumbing, old plumbing, tree roots grown into drains. They came in and checked everything in Hope's we could clean out the drains. They found so many things wrong and several leaks that showed once they cleared the pipes. Concerning the damage. The price was fair enough.
Don’t overbook yourself. I scheduled a “technician” to come to my house Thursday night between 5 pm and 7 pm. They were not here by 7 and the dispatcher was not sure when they would be able to come to my house. No problem, I said. I get it, things get busy. I rescheduled for Saturday afternoon between 12 and 2 and was told that I would be made a priority because of a need to reschedule. Great, I though. I appreciate that.2 pm Saturday rolled around, and the dispatcher again said that they were not sure when they would be able to make it to my house. I told them to cancel the appointment altogether.If you can’t keep an appointment, I don’t even want to see what your quality of electrical work is like. I’ll take my business elsewhere.
Matt arrived on time, very professional and kind. I thought my garbage disposal would need to be replaced after a glass broke and got lodged around the blades. Matt had it cleared and working within 5 minutes! He explained how I could reset and get the blades rotating if this were to ever happen again. His kindness and professionalism made a simple repair for a frazzled homeowner feel very reassured. Matt is great! We will continue to use Mr. Rooter for all future needs!
Very prompt and able to send a professional out quickly. The plumber was knowledgeable about did quick work, very tidy and clean. The only down side was the cost was higher than I expected, over $200 to replace a garbage disposal that I had bought. But that’s the price you pay for convenience and having someone able to come over quickly.

We had used Mr Rooter for the replacement of our bathtub and shower plumbing so, being extremely pleased with their service, we called on them when we needed our gas shut-off valve replaced. We were having problems with our hot water tank and I went to shut off the gas and broke the shut off valve.Mitch W. was our technician. He was kind, courteous, friendly and very professional. He replaced the shut-off valve and lit the hot water tank. He cautioned me about throwing money at the old hot water tank as it was over 10 years old. No high pressure sale, just good advice. After a week of buying parts and the tank not staying lit we called and requested Mitch W. I knew that we needed his kind of knowledge and expertise to install a new one. He kept us informed as to the progress as he worked. He was finished in no time. He showed me how to drain and maintain the tank to help it last longer and perform at it's best.Again, Mitch W. is very professional and a great asset to Mr. Rooter and we would definitely highly recommend him and Mr Rooter to everyone.

I had a hydro jetting of a bit over 100 feet of our cast iron to clay main line. We had extensive root intrusion and Will did a fantastic job. He used a cam to guide where he jetted and far exceeded my expectations. He gave honest feedback about the condition of the line and I feel I have a plumbing crew I can trust. Prices are reasonable and what you would expect to pay for this job. He cleaned up after the job. Very great work, we are very pleased.

They replaced a sum pump months ago, and did a great job. Unfortunately, the pump ended up being defective. As soon as it first failed, we called them and they came right away, identified the problem, fixed it and did not charge us anything as the pump was under warranty. They were very friendly and professional.Just our luck... a day later I heard a sounds like a shower on, while nobody was taking a shower. I later realized that a pipe had burst, and there was lots of water - like a shower - coming from the pipe into the basement. The house is old, and this happened late at night. We called them again, explained the urgency, and they came in just an couple of hours. They fixed it on the spot. It was a bit pricy, but we were able to fix it fast, sleep with the peace of mind, and take a warm shower in the morning! Thank you!

Like many of you we had a plumbing emergency. Lowe's came to install our new fridge and broke the valve in the process pouring water all over my basement. They said they couldn't help and just left. Then we called 5 different plumbers, none of which could come out the same day. Then, Mr. Rooter said they could come out and they were here within the hour.Enter Dustin...Dustin took amazing care of us, he quickly fixed the problem and showed us the issue, and he did it all with an amazing attitude. Then, he offered to do Lowe's job for them since then didn't do the job. So he spent over an hour adjust our fridge, assembling it, moving it into the house, and installing it. THAT is ABOVE AND BEYOND SERVICE. We can't thank Mr. Rooter and Dustin enough. If they're smart, Mr. Rooter will have Dustin train all of their front line employees...Thanks Dustin!

This was my second experience with Mr Rooter Plumbing of Columbus, and like my first time I am very happy with the service. After booking the appointment, there was another cancellation so they were happy to reach out to me to see if they could come earlier, which was welcome. They showed up on time for both the investigation and the actual installation. Everyone I talked with was friendly and knowledgeable. Plus they have a lifetime warranty on their work! I would definitely recommend for professional quality service.
Update: They came out about one month ago and put dirt back in. I should not had to complain here to get it done. They should do the job correctly the first time.They charged around $5500 to replace my pipe. I signed an agreement stating I would clean my yard but what this company did was unreal. Left a big gap and took my dirt so I have to buy more. Left many stones in my yard. Don’t hire them. Overpriced and can’t even provide dirt to finish project. If I could show a picture I would. Called several times and eventually a mgr called me back. Nothing resolved.

I saw Rodney L while out walking with my dog. I had been trying to have a new toilet installed for months with limited response from other companies. He was very receptive and professional to a stranger approaching his truck. Walked me through how to schedule an appointment through the dispatcher and was available to come by the next day. Very knowledgeable and efficient. Offered follow up if needed. Will keep card on hand to use again when needed as well as pass on to friends.
We had an energy saving box from AEP on our water heater. An electrical surge blew the box and we no longer had any hot water. I called for service at 750 am and the technician was there by 9 am. He gave us a quote and went on to his next job. We were not sure what the problem was and expected to have to pay anywhere from 500 to repair the tank or 1500.00 to replace the tank.The technician returned. The very honest technician was able to remove the box and we had a full tank of water in 45 minutes.They just earned 2 new customers.Thank you Mr Rooter.The Hoy’s

I had Mr. Rooter plumber come out for a video inspection on 12/27/21to check for a leak in sewer line/ drain lines.The plumber Video inspected sewer line to look for leaks which they should have done a sewer water test to check for leaks.When the plumber was almost finished,I ask him if he put the camera into the Drain tiles going to sump pit he said yes I ask did you see the BLUE ELECTRICAL OUTLET, He said no I Had a basement waterproofing company out 2 wks earlier and he put a camera in the drain line and I seen the outlet which I was dumb founded so was basement guy.So I don't believe he scoped the drain tile which is where we have water coming in the basement, then he started talking about where/why he thinks we have water coming in which thru distracted me from asking him to scope the drain tile again if he actually did. The plumber was very courteous and on time.
Great communication every step of my service. Love that they send you a email with picture and name of the technician. Technician arrived on time, was polite and proceeded to access the problem. I got another email with a picture of a supervisor who was coming. We were informed of their progress every step of the process. We were informed of some problems found and their recommendations on correcting the problem. We are very pleased with Mr Rooter and the technicians who came to our house.

I would like to thank Will H. and Joe M. as they repaired my main sewer line in my home. Without them asking questions on what I was experiencing, all my problems may have not been addressed. While they addressed the main concern with tree roots at the transition line, what I did not realize there were two other problems which were discovered by Will and Joe. The main water valve in the house was leaking and the main house drain had a hole about 12 inches long and six inches wide. They both were very professional, knowledgeable, and accommodating to any questions I may have had. I would strongly recommend either of these men.
Steve Mills was our service tech. Your company sent an email with Steve's picture on it before he arrived. That was a great way to verify your tech. Steve put on his boot covers and introduced himself. I showed Steve what the problem was and after a few minutes he came out and advised us of the situation. Steve told us the cost to fix and we agreed to have him do the work. After Steve finished he brought out the old part and went over what all he did. I feel very confident that the job was done correctly and that Steve and your company are both honest and professional. I will use Mr. Rooter for all my future plumbing needs and hope I can keep Steve Mills as my personal plumber.

It’s never a great thing when you have to call a plumber, and soon find it’s not a small job. For the initial visit, Chris came out and went to work to identify the issue, starting with the least expensive fixes. He even gave me some tips for things that help keep drains at their best. When it became clear snaking the drain would not work, he was great about assessing the pipes in the basement, and quickly assessed the issue. Being somewhat new, he reached out to his Manager Avis to confirm, and sent pictures, etc. Avis then came out, and confirmed this issue was my problem. This was a Friday night, mind you! I received a quote from these unbelievably professional men, and we scheduled the work for Sunday. Chris, and the manager for the day, Adam, came out to fix the problem. They re-evaluated, and we’re confident this was the correct approach, it was not a small job, and a lot of hard work, but I am happy to report a complete success. All three of these gentlemen were the utmost in professional, very reliable and respectful, and most of all, really knew their stuff. I can’t imagine calling anyone else moving forward. thank you, Gentlemen!!

Called on a Sunday afternoon for an emergency sewer backup. They were unable to get someone out same day, so they can hardly call themselves an emergency plumber with 24/7 service. Don't waste your time, call a real emergency company.Edit. They called me first thing in the morning and were able to get someone out earlier than they had originally stated.
I had a leaky shut off valve that was stuck. I made the leak worse by trying to remove the valve myself with no luck!Also, I had new countertops installed which meant I needed all plumbing for faucets and garbage disposal in kitchen and 2 bathroom faucets re-installed. Joe was very professional and courteous as he explained what was needed and gave me an estimate...no pressure. I asked if he had time to do the work that day. He got started on it and was patient enough to answer any questions I had and explained afterward in detail what he did. He was thorough; no leaks. Yay! All faucets work perfectly too! I became associated with Mr Rooter about 7 years ago when they were the only one that would answer my emergency distress call. I live in Lancaster and nobody in Lancaster would help me . It was on a Saturday afternoon and I called mr. Rooter and they were here within an hour. They are very professional very reasonable and very friendly. Will H explain to me exactly what I needed what he would do and how much it would cost. After the work was finished he showed me the parts and they were definitely bad. At this time he also gave me an estimate for a new toilet which I intend to have done within the next two to three months and I will request Will as my technician. Every one I've been associated with at mr. Rooter have been very very friendly and I will continue to do business with them.
Our technician, Derrick Henderson was very knowledgeable, professional and made sure we knew everything that was going on thru out the repair process. Mr. Rooter is a great company to do repairs on your home.

A bunch of scam artists. The work seems fine but they claim I can make a homeowners insurance claim and never send me the documentation and photos to submit. You see my name. Call me. I'm tired of leaving messages.You would think someone who paid your company over $18,600 could get a little more respect and priority.All I am asking for is your your report and photos so I can file my insurance claim. It's been a week since your reply and I haven't received a phone call or your report. It's been three weeks since work has been completed and I've had to take out a loan to float the money you claim my insurance company will pay. How about you pay the financing fees because you've been dragging your feet. You can write a check for $450.
We had a leak in our water softener and had been having other issues with it for some times. The plumber removed the water softener from the line and reconnected us to the water supply. From the time I called until the job was completed took only two hours.We have used Mr Rooter before and I would not hesitate to use them again. Price they quote is the price you pay.

Wouldn’t have thought this job could be completed in one day but he found the leak and had it repaired within a couple of hours. He had to cut the ceiling and repair drain pipes and replace toilet flange. He was very nice and respectful of my home and cleaned up the mess. He was very knowledgeable and taught me a few things. I was so worried about calling the right plumber but I must say I’m happy with the result. Makes me feel good about spending my money with the right people even though it hurt my pockets a little. This was my first experience with Mr. Rooter and I have been very pleased and impressed with every aspect of their services. They arrived within hours of my first call to assess the problem. As it turned out, it was a big job. They made all the arrangements to repair the problem and when they returned they hung in there until the repairs were completed (13 hours on site). Their employees were very friendly and professional. They carefully explained everything they had to do to fix the problem in advance as well as while they proceeded with the repairs. I have already recommended them to a number of friends.

Tested it (no leaks!) and then gave me the bill. While at the house I asked him about an estimate to replace 2 hot water heaters. He listened carefully and thoughtfully, took pictures and said he would get back to me. He wore booties in the house and was really pleasant to interact with. I couldn't ask for a better experience!
Billy and Chris arrived at my house with in the hour of my initial call. They came prepared with shoe covers and they were very pleasant and courteous. Very friendly. I was thankful to have the come out on Christmas Eve my bathroom sink had a small leak that ended up with water all over the place, when the shut off valve failed to work. I was very distraught so very close to Christmas. I was so very glad to see them. There price was fair and there work is very professional. Lisa was great at taking my calls and hearing what the issues were and following up. Aaron came out and worked on the issues and did a great job. He was friendly, thorough, did a nice job explaining what he was doing and also made future recommendations. He thought outside the box on how to problem solve the 2nd issue and provided estimates on the options. He ultimately was able to help solve the issue without needing to go to plan B. I appreciated him letting me know what the options and estimates were even though we didn't end up needing it. Great customer service from start to finish!

Every technician has been very friendly and knowledgeable, but that is expected of a good plumber...scheduling has been a frustration. Rescheduled 3 times now to address a warranty issue...currently 90 minutes past the end of my last service window and was told the technician was 20 minutes away an hour ago, again this is the third time in 2 weeks my service has been rescheduled ( all to fix something that was not repaired correctly the first time). more expensive than other companies also...I can tolerate a premium price for same day, good, fast service, however they have been dropping the ball lately...I would recommend looking elsewhere for your plumbing issues.
Derrick did a great job evaluating the problem and then quoted solution and then did the work.
We had a worst case scenario (sewer line collapse) and got several quotes. Josh and team at Mr Rooter were outstanding and provided the best price, warranty and assurance of the situation. They were onsite and had everything fixed in 24 hours.I highly recommend them.
Dustin was very professional and arrived earlier than scheduled to fix a leak that had quickly become a serious problem. He quickly identified the problem and went to work fixing it. He kept us well-informed of what was going on and what he was going to need to do to remedy it. He completed the repairs timely and also took a look at a couple of more minor issues that we had. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Dustin for any additional plumbing work we may need.

After a basement flood causing no hot water and calling several companies, with extremely long wait times. No hot water for more than 3 days, not being able to get the hot water heater pilot lit as it had been under water. I called Mr. Rooter late in the evening, I told them my situation, and that another company had me on a 3 week wait to get hot water! The receptionist was empathetic and polite she assured me they would get someone out if not that night the next morning for sure. As promised the tech arrived and quickly inspected the problem, ran cameras through my drainage systems and replaced my hot water heater in no time!Thank you Aaron! You have another satisfied customer! I now know I should have called Mr. Rooter to begin with. Will do business with again!
Mitch was our technician. He was friendly, nonjudgmental and good at what he does. He made the repairs, installed the new toilet, and gave me an estimate on replacing old piping with new. He was an all around great guy and a credit to his company.

I called Mr. Rooter for helping remove and fix a seized gas pipe fixture attached to our old stove so that we could install a new one. We were lucky to have Rodney Lattimer, who was not only prompt driving out to Marysville where we live, but worked quickly and efficiently and was the best service worker that I've had the pleasure of doing business with. He was honest, personable, and professional, and we couldn't ask for anyone better to have come out to help us! I would absolutely recommend using Mr. Rooter and specifically requesting Rodney to come out.

The end was much better than the beginning of this experience. I originally called Mr. Rooter for emergency leak that occurred as I was leaving for vacation11/19. They supposed to be there, that day, but didn’t make it until the next day. My young adult daughter called today the bill was $600. I was shocked that they didn’t talk to me to discuss the repairs before doing them. For some reason, I ended up with a new kitchen faucet during this process. So that same faucet that they selected broke and they found that it was under warranty and had it shipped to my home, but stated it would be a $151 fee to install and failed faucet, that they selected. I was beyond upset! The rep stated his manager would call me but didn’t, so I called and left a couple messages, asked for his manager and the reception was very reluctant to offer me that information. I received many updates via phone. Once the sink was delivered it took 2 days to get someone out to repair. Which I did receive a call from the manager and he didn’t charge the $151. The moral of the story is stand behind your chosen product and treat customers like you’d like to be treated.

Keenan arrived less than an hour after I called to request service. He came to unclog by kitchen sink. He was very polite and friendly, making sure to put on shoe covers before entering the house. He had to snake the drain several times but kept at it until it was clear. Everything is working perfectly now. I am very pleased with the service !

My sewer line were plugged and we called them out for assistance. They charged us $950 just to unplug the lines and gave us an estimate of $8000 for new pipes. They also drained the sewage underneath my double wide which left a very disgusting smell for roughly 4 days.
Recently we had a water issue in our basement. When we contacted Mr. Rooter, after 5pm, the representative realized the urgency of our situation and advised she would try to get a tech to us that evening. By 8pm she returned our call apologizing all techs were tied up on jobs and would not be able to come that night however we were listed as a priority reschedule the next day. By 7 am the next morning we had a call from Mr. Rooter letting us know a tech would be with us within the hour. Dustin arrived within the hour as promised and had our house up to working order within an hour. He explained in detail what he was doing every step of the way, showed the tools he was using and explained how they worked and also had me view the camera as it was making it's way down the drain. Dustin made recommendations to items/services we may need to consider in the future as well as contacted another individual (Jim) to stop by that day for an estimate for the additional services that may be needed. Everyone we had contact with were professional and courteous, kept us informed of every step along the way and arrived when they said they would. Both individuals that were in my home answered my questions thoroughly and respectfully.
I had Steve our to repair our master bath toilet. It was literally a couple hours from the time I called until he arrived. He was prompt, courteous, and explained the issue in depth. I did proceed with the work and I am satisfied. I did feel it was a bit expensive for the work but that seems to be the norm with home repairs.

Pricing is not reasonable at all. Was charged over $400.00 for less than two hours of labor to get a pilot light lit on a water heater. Definitely would not have used their services if another plumber was available (all local plumbers were booked out in my area due to severe flooding)

Called 2 times said they would be here between 3 and 5 no show couldn't give a time simple water line to fridge 30 minute job could not show up. We called and scheduled. Been waiting for 2 days.
They work off commission so you best believe they will spin an epic yarn about how you need the most expensive services. Support local small business and get an honest plumber instead.

We called and explained that water was still coming into our basement and we really needed their help. They arrived within the hour. They replaced our sump pump and explained how water got into our basement. The service was excellent. We would highly recommend them.
I would never wish the plumbing situation we had on anyone. It took 2 weeks to resolve. Our basement was almost completely excavated. But do you know what? The guys at Mr. Rooter fixed it all! Not only that, they explained everything very carefully, they gave me options, they showed up on time, they wore masks. They were professional, respectful, considerate, kind, and, after two weeks, practically became members of the family! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED WITHOUT RESERVATION. Thanks, Mr. Rooter! Now, don’t take this the wrong way boys, but I hope I NEVER see you again!

He listen to my concerns and went out of his way giving me and showing serveral option. Price high but the service was excellent. He cared about me as a customer. He didn't rush me and he throughly explained the service. Rodney is very knowledgeable and helpful. I previously had two stroke which he didn't know and sometimes it takes me a while to understand. He never made me feel frustrated when he had to go over things serveral time. I highly recommend his service and I am thankful he came to help me.
Had a kitchen sink not draining correctly and had to have the down stream line cleared. Mitch showed up and was able to clear it pretty quickly. He also had noticed while gaining access the air pressure valve seemed to be misbehaving which could have been partially to blame for the fact the contents were not flushing well enough to the main. He was able to clean it up to get it working properly and also was kind enough to educate me on its function all while coming across as very personable. I would not hesitate to use this company again if I ever needed.

We recently had an issue with our kitchen sink, specifically the faucet and the hose attachment. It caused flooding underneath the sink and on the floor. A huge mess. Not only was a technician immediately available (within the hour) they were able to give an estimate of the work that fit our budget. They were very, very fast and friendly. I highly recommend Mr. Rooter. (Also - during this time of a pandemic, Cory the technician wore a mask, gloves and booties on his shoes. Very safe and clean!)
We knew our water heater was on its last legs, so when it finally croaked on a Thursday night, we were scrambling to find someone who was able to do a quick install at a decent price. After doing some quick research, I contacted Home Depot Thursday night since they offered same day install, and my wife contacted Mr. Rooter. Home Depot called me Friday morning asking for measurements and the like, but I was at work at the time, and was under the impression that they would be doing an in home consultation, which was another reason I went with them, as I wanted someone there to actually look at our setup to verify what we needed and any other costs associated with it. They said they would call their contracted plumber and they would call within 24-48 hours.In the meantime, Mr. Rooter had contacted my wife and set up an appointment for an in house consultation Saturday morning. James came out, looked at our setup, and gave us an estimate of everything. He confirmed my suspicions that there would need to be some slight modifications for the install that would bump the cost up a bit, which was fine. After confirming our selection, he offered to install it right then, which was a shock to me! During the install, he kept me informed of what he was doing, as well as asked my opinion on another slight modification he would need to do; one choice was free and involved moving some piping to my HVAC drain, or another option that would cost a bit more. I was pleased he let me know without just doing it and claiming the one option was necessary just to increase costs. A couple of hours later and he was finished. He cleaned up well, gave us a quick rundown of the system, and we were back in business. We were very pleased with his customer service and would definitely recommend this company to others.As a side note, Home Depot's plumbers finally called back...Monday morning. So much for that 24-48 hour window and the same day install!

Excellent work on removing ancient utility sink then installed new sink, counter, and cabinets. Also addressed water heater venting, furnace drain, and washer hook up. Cost was reasonable and quality high. Derrick was very professional and there was excellent coordination with management.
Needing service on a Saturday, I was concerned no company would be open, let alone make a visit. Mitch W. was absolutely awesome! Not only were they extremely quick to respond, he quoted a very fair price and then performed the work efficiently and completely. He explained exactly what he was going to do, then answered all the questions that I had. He even offered to stick around while I finished up the rest of my project while he was awaiting his next job.Since this was an unplanned “emergency” call, it really could not have gone any better. I called on a Saturday at 12:30pm, they arrived by 1pm and were finished by 1:45! It was a very positive experience and I will be a return customer the next time I DIY myself into an issue.
If I were to give them a review 4 years ago when I spend over $7K with them to help with my flooded basement and install new sump pumps, I would have given them 5 stars. They were responsive and great to work with.Now, just 4 years later, the sump pumps have stopped working. They quoted me over $4k to replace one and told me my house is too big for the pumps that are here. Note - house was the same size when they installed them 4 years ago. I explained they put these in and asked if there was any way to discount the new pumps, but was told there was nothing they could do. I had a new plumber I trust to take a look. I know nothing about plumbing, but even I could see how poor the quality of the materials and work was. I will never work with them again.
Rodney was great. He installed a backup sump pump and walked me through how to test and what to monitor. Nice having peace of mind as the rainy season approaches. Quality work, would definitely recommend. Very quick response time too!
We had the pleasure of dealing with what could have been a disaster tonight. I called Mr. Rooter first. The associate who took my call was polite and professional! They informed me they had a small wait and would let me know when someone was on the way. I got a call when he was on his way and they emailed me his picture and his name. Connor W. was just as professional and polite as the phone associate. My husband and some family members were able to avert the crisis before he arrived, but he was very comforting and reassuring that him and his team can come back and assist if needed. They even provide free quotes. To top everything off, we’re in the middle of a pandemic and he got here in a timely manner, offered to wear gloves and a mask, and he wore slips over his shoes before entering our home. I’m literally blown away. Mr. Rooter will always be first on our list in the event of another plumbing crisis.

With all of the rain my sump pump stopped working. They were able to send someone out the day of even with the high demand of people calling. Alex came out and immediately identified the problem and the solution. He was extremely personable and professional. The problem was fixed right away and he did a great job for a great price. Though they performed the jet cleaning of my foundation drains and inspected with a camera, I felt the whole service was rushed. Like not giving water a chance to clear the pipe before inspecting with camera. Estimate for sump pump was $1000 higher than a competitive estimate and included less installation work than the competitor.

It was in the evening that we got a call from the renters we have saying the bath tub and the bathroom sink was both stopped up and the water was not moving. I had to leave to go out of town for work so I knew I had to call for help. I called three places trying to get someone to help. One never answered or called me back, another was going to charge out of site. So I called Mr Rooter and they said they would be there within the hour. They were there for a few hours trying to get the job done. He worked very hard to get it fixed and he also kept me informed of what was happening with the pipes and what had to be done. I really appreciated the prompt service and a fair price. In the end we were all happy. Thank you Mr Rooter GOOD JOB .....

Kevin and his crew worked tirelessly all day to dig and expose our septic line going into our tank, so they could remove and replace bad pipes split by tree roots. We had multiple issues and they had to work on an incline in rain and heat. They were intelligent and knew what the problems were and how to fix them and prevent the backup sewage which we have dealt with 3 times! They never hesitated to explain things to us and were patient and professional. Kevin and his crew found an electric issue with our aerator that could have been a potential danger and recommended an electrician check it to prevent another problem! Mr. Rooter has provided us with excellent workers and we won't hesitate to use Mr. Rooter in the future!

Great Service! Half the price of the other service I was going to use. Did a major replace and repair of my parent's well system from well pump, lines, connectors, tank etc and had them change the sump also. It was $8k in work, not sure how the cost compared to other since we needed it fixed immediately, but it seems like they did a good job with timely communications and Derrick and Dan was friendly and professional. More importantly they treated my parents with respect.
Jason came out and gave estimate then installed a new tankless water heater. They also fixed a pipe that was leaking. They were very thorough and keep us up on progress of the jobs. The job looks great and they did an excellent job cleaning up after their work
We were pleased with Aaron's work, and his courteous and kind disposition. He performed the tasks neatly and reported what he was doing throughout the process. Came out within 20 minutes of me calling even at 8:30 at night. Friendly tech and was quick to make the repair. The supervisor ended up randomly showing up and scoped the sewer line for me for free. He set me up with a quote on the section I needed and gave me information on financing. Was not cheap but compared to other plumbing service calls I have had, I thought the price was very fair.
Mr. Rooter is our go-to for any plumbing needs. We noticed a leak in our basement on Friday evening. We called Mr. Rooter on Saturday and within the hour someone was here. The issue was fixed promptly. Thank you!

I had an emergency plumbing leak. Had to turn off the water to the entire house. This guy was prompt, friendly, knowledgable, and very personable. He was finished quickly and reviewed everything he worked on with me so I knew exactly what the job entailed. Just awesome!
My call -- at 9:00 or 9:30 a.m. on a Sunday -- was handled promptly and efficiently. Mr. Rooter's technician, Matt Berger, arrived about 10:00 a.m. He was personable and quickly cleared the clog. Mr. Rooter isn't cheap but, given the quality of their service, they were worth it. I recommend them highly.
The man that arrived was just a little later then time frame given. The job took all of 25 or 30 minutes, when started. I thought 168.00 dollars was a little much even after a 56.00 discount.But what do I know? I would probably call them again. Everyone was very helpfull.
Will is a credit to the company. He was professional, competent, friendly, and courteous. He saw exactly what needed to be done, and kept us informed throughout the process, during which he discovered other problems that needed repair. He explained those clearly, and worked all day to make the necessary repairs to our satisfaction.
Matt was a very friendly and knowledgeable technician. I give him 5 stars. However Mr. Rooter earns 3 stars. Matt took care of the water heater issue without any problem. He wasn't wearing a mask and I didn't know his Covid status; which is Mr. Rooter's fault for not protecting the customers better. I could have called another plumbing service but as the water heater repair progressed Matt discovered that I would need an electrician to install a faulty breaker. Matt rounded up a Mr. Electric electrician in our area and he cane over and installed the new breaker. I am happy with the repairs. Not happy with the lack of PPE worn by the technician. And I thought that the price was too high.

We are very pleased with the Mr. Rooter Technician Matt B. who came out 10-25-2020 to unclog the clog that was making our sewer pipe/drain back up. Surprise roots have grown back again and he took care of the problem and did a fantastic job and informed us on information that is well needed for the future and just good ole info on roots 101 (Which was well needed and appreciated.). Matt did an outstanding job!

My old water started to have serious problems. Based on numerous positive customer reviews of the company, I called Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Columbus, and Brad arrived within hours of my call. He identified and explained the specific failure points in my existing system; explained the features and benefits of the various replacement options (including a discussion of tankless, on-demand systems); answered all my questions; explained his recommended solution; identified a suitable replacement unit; fully explained the cost of the replacement tank and the labor to install it; confirmed my consent to the equipment and its cost; and scheduled installation of the new tank for the next day. The following morning Brad arrived exactly at the scheduled time, and was at work removing the old heater within a matter of minutes. He installed the replacement tank; made double sure that all the gas and plumbing connections were cleanly installed and tightly fitted; then completely cleaned up the work space, wiped down the tank and all fittings, and hauled the old tank off to the scrap yard. He was in and out in three hours. Brad was unfailingly polite and personable during the entire time he was in my home, and his demeanor and professionalism were exemplary. The professionals I spoke to prior to the dig were great. But the people who came out and performed the dig were not up to standard. On Christmas Eve, I had to have a 4ft section of pipe dug out of my backyard and replaced. These guys left pizza boxes & trash scattered everywhere. It was completely unacceptable and by far just a poor way to treat a client. Not appreciated.Updated Review: Mr. Rooter contacted me and ended up coming back out to spread seed & straw cover to regrow the grass in the area they had to dig up for no cost due to the size of my project and the above behavior. I am pleased that they stand behind their company and customer satisfaction! While it was initially a negative experience and I am still struggling to grow grass in that area, I am very satisfied that they offered such a generous response to the improper behavior. Hopefully I will never need their services again but if I do, this act will guarantee I return!

Steve Dierzawski was quite courteous and professional. He was very knowledgeable and was voluntarily instrumental in getting an electrical problem related to my plumbing problem fixed.My house had no hot water, due to the gas having been shut off for safety reasons. This was because of damage to the gas meter on the side of the house. He took the initiative in encouraging his supervisors to get both plumbing and electrical repairs done on the same day and very quickly. The electrical grounding was done by Mr. Electric, another company owned by the owner of Mr. Rooter - Columbus. I would highly recommend both Steve Dierzawski and Mr. Rooter to anyone with plumbing needs.

Mr Rooter virtually honored an estimate from 2016. Who does that? The project ran into a few snags, through no fault of the Mr. Rooter crew, as the company that marked the utilities failed to mark the water supply line to the house and the shutoff valve in the yard was inaccessible due to rocks in the access pipe to the box. We ended up having to replace another 30ft or so of sewer line for which we were given a 20% discount. I would definitely use them again, but hope I never need to.

Guys were very responsive and were proactive in reaching out to me when they had a cancellation so they could see me earlier. Very professional in their work. Explained what was occurring every step of the way (main sewer line backed up). They were able to clear it, but went an extra step by running a camera down to show me it was cleared and some roots that were coming thru... also located a major issue that will need to be fixed but not necessarily urgently so I can prepare for the cost, and they certainly didn’t push me to fix it immediately.Because of their professionalism I will 100% be calling them everytime in the future. Corey and Josh were great.Plumbing issues suck to start with. So to have guys that fix the issue, don’t pressure you for stuff you don’t need but take the time to educate you on issues, as well as visually show you the issues is worth its weight in gold. Highly recommend!
I called about a leak under the kitchen sink.Seth arrived mid-morning and found the configuration of the pipes was wrong, causing water to collect at the bottom of the garbage disposal and other places, with the trap located at the lowest point. As a result, Seth needed to replace the pipes and disposal.He then saw the faucet was leaking and took it apart to find the problem. He wasn't able to find a replacement part, so he followed me to Home Depot and Lowe's to find a new faucet and then installed it.I remembered the faucet in the bathtub was not working properly.Even though it was nearly 6:00 and he didn't have one to replace it, he drove back to Home Depot to get one.Seth explained the problems, took care of everything, and I was very pleased with him and the results.Thank you!Lisa

Mr. rooter technician came on time removed my 50 year old concrete laundry tub and installed a new plastic tub in about 2 hours. He cleaned up after the installation and asked if I was satisfied. He did a fine job, I'll call Mr. Rooter again If needed a plumber.

I had Mr. Rooter come to my home after my basement flooded. Fixing the problem requires replacement of a sump pump, as well as installation of all new underground drainage pipes from my sump pump and all of my downspouts. The technician was at my house within 60 minutes. Once he saw the condition of my underground pipes with his camera, a field supervisor was out within minutes. Both gentlemen were very professional and made recommendations for remedying my complicated drainage situation. I had a new sump pump installed within 3 hours of my initial call, and had all new underground pipes installed 4 days later. I would highly recommend Mr. Rooter to anybody and will continue to use them in the future!

All three of these technicians were great. Mitch W. in particular was really helpful. Our basement had flooded and it was a pretty stressful situation. He was very sympathetic of the situation, but still tremendously professional. He happily rescheduled aservice call when a conflict came up. He did a great job and I would highly recommend him, and the company in general.
We had extensive damage with our main sewer drain line, both under the house and outside. Mr. Rooter hustled and changed worker schedules to get to us ASAP. Simultaneously, They had teams digging out the basement floor inside and digging out the main drain outside. Every one of them was polite, friendly, and willing to take time to answer questions and make suggestions. ALSO. the company has been great at corresponding directly with my insurance company for needed info. Check out Mr. Rooter for major plumbing issues!

I was very thankful to have him to complete the work and I could tell he cared about doing the work right as if it were his home. Jun 9, 2020: 2nd time using Mr. Rooter. Way later than the scheduled appointment time but to be fair, they did call to say they were behind. That being said, my water leak was a simple fix but one beyond my ability. Aaron arrived and crushed it! I will always call Mr. Rooter first.Keep in mind, this is New Years Day 2018. No hot water because of suspected bad element and I couldn't drain the tank. Was given an appointment time of 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm and Adam arrived at 4:45. He had no magic trick to drain the tank but with a minimum of water loss he quickly took out the bad element and inserted the new one. Not exactly what I expected or wanted but Adam did what he could based on my circumstances. He was personable, professional and very knowledgeable. I'm very grateful that he was available on New Years Day!

I can't speek highly enough about my experience with Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Columbus! I caused an issue with a bathroom drain while remodeling and it was an emergency situation on a Sunday evening. I called three other local companies and not a single one answered the phone. I found Mr. Rooter on line, gave them a call, and an actual person answered the phone. The said they would have a technician there within an hour and sent me a photo of the person who would be arriving. The technician actually showed up early and was extremely professional and knowledgeable. They fixed the issue and did so without extra fees for afterhours service. Keenan and Corey were both great and did an amazing job.
In preparation for a new washing machine I needed the supply valves replaced and a laundry tub faucet replaced as well. Cody was punctual, for a first call, which was greatly appreciated. He explained the work to be done, made a recommendation which was helpful, and completed the work very quickly. Very impressed with him, and the work he did. Will ask for him the next time a plumber is needed.

Clogged toilet on a Sunday. Called Mr. Rooter they said between 3-5pm. Will showed up around 2:30pm. Very professional. Tried a couple things and each time he explained what he was going to do and the costs. Each time the thing he tried didn't work and he explained that there would be no charge for that attempt. He then removed the toilet and found that our remodeling contractor (we just had the bathroom done this summer) left the old wax ring on the toilet when he re-installed it on a new wax ring, thus causing the toilet to back up and other methods to fail when clearing it. Will re-installed the toilet with a new wax ring after removing the old ones. He cleaned up the area and left after being in our house for about 3 hours. And he had to hear us watching the Steelers game in the other room. Mr. Rooter is now our plumber! Will Huffman was great!!

I never dreamed in a million years that I could get plumbing assistance on a Saturday, but I did. They arrived promptly. The fixed the problem quickly. They factored in the coupon. The repair included an addition that would make it cheaper to do the same work in the future should that be necessary in later years. They gave me a 30 day guarantee on their work and said they'd return if I had problems during that time, at no cost to me. They deserve 10 stars rather than 5 for the work they completed.
We needed a plumber in the evening because our faucet all of a sudden would not turn off. when I called I did not get a answering service but someone who could immediately help me. Mitch W. came to my house within I hour, assessed the problem and fixed it. He was kind, answered all questions and did a great job. I highly recommend Mitch and Mr. Rooter.

BUYER BEWARE: I recently found Mr. Rooter through home adviser and asked them to come over and replace a shower valve. The staff was very responsive and setup appointment for the same day. Wow great I thought. Then I was called and told a tech would be on site in 30 minutes. Rushed home 1:30 before appt was scheduled to meet tech, then he didn't arrive for another hour. Ok whatever last minute appt I am just happy to have someone there.Next they go to look at the shower. 2 techs showed up and quote me $950.00 to replace 1 shower valve. That is 1 valve with 4 copper pipes soldered in. They would have cut the wall to access it, which was fine, then removed the existing one & installed another. I asked them what the hourly rate was and how long the job would take. They said they could not provide a hourly rate as everything is just fixed rate.I told them I thought this sounded High and I just wanted to check with my regular plumber who is commonly regarded as the best in the city Jack L Woods plumbing. Jack Woods told me they charge time and materials for a job like this @ $94.00 an hour. They estimated 2-4 hours to complete the installation. Jack L Woods had a week long back log so I tried Mr. Rooter if you are wondering.If you have an emergency and you just need something fixed this might be a good option but be very careful on the price and make sure you are armed with competitive quotes for whatever you do to ensure the pricing is fair.
If your problem involves ANYTHING more than a drain, get a real plumber instead. I called them in to look at a leak and next thing I know, they're trying to sell me a remodel on the entire bathroom. They even brought in their restoration team to try to milk my homeowners insurance to pay for the remodel. On top of all that they charged $600 to do a recaulking job that had to be redone a few weeks later by someone else. Again, save a ton of money and get it right by calling a REAL PLUMBER. If a company sends a technician, send him back.I only clicked one star because the review wouldn't let me use zero or better yet, negative stars

Just be aware they expect the payment for the work when they complete the job.
Tyler DeWalt was prompt, polite and professional. Our hot water heater installation required some upgrades to meet current code and he did an excellent job explaining what was needed and why. the installation was completed efficiently and neatly. We would highly recommend Tyler and this company to others with similar needs. Thank you!
Mr Rochelle came out on a Sunday afternoon and explained our problem and gave us tips how to keep it from happening again. Very professional and courteous. The price was very reasonable.
We had a scheduled appointment for 12-2pm today, I had called earlier today to confirm as I had not received an email confirming, was informed the confirmation email would be sent once the tech was dispatched. Long story short I called in at 3pm today to inquire about the scheduled appt and the phone rep, who was not in the least apologetic that they had missed our appointment by over an hour and with no call from a rep that obviously they would be late. I cancelled the Mr.Rooter appointment and I cancelled the Mr. Electric appointment scheduled for next week. Poor customer service before the tech even stepped into our home. Glad we only wasted 3-4 hours of time. #$$$$

After Rodney came out to give me a quote, I went to Lowes to pick up some hardware and he happened to be there, I overheard him on the phone saying that the place he just went was a waste of time. Just seemed a bit unprofessional.
Mr. Rooter service done today for the plumbing at my condo was Excellent! Adam and Will went above and beyond for my needs to get my plumbing and drain work done! Their service is very thorough and give you recommendations before they do their work! Service was well done!
After heavy rain in the area and flash flooding I had my basement flood. They came for initial assessment and helped me understand all of the root causes and solutions. The services included replacing sump pump, excavation of down spouts, and full drying out and cleaning basement. All work was completed over a weekend. Work also included other contractors for restoration. So appreciative of all the work and professionalism during a stressful time.
This company is not following COVID-19 orders that have been put in place by the governor. Three guys showed up in the same van to fix my water heater. Definitely not social distancing. Then they all come to my door and ask if its ok if they all come in. A little clueless! I said sure, but it was a lot of guys just for a hot water heater. I didn’t want one guy in my house much less three, but I didn’t have any hot water.As far as the actual appointment, I was given an appointment window of 12-2. I received a call wanting to come at 11. I told them I wouldn’t be home until 12 and they said they would call back then. I finally called them at 2:15 and they said they were on the way. Five minutes later the crew of three showed up with no call.I gave them two stars based on the fact they did fix the problem. I thought the service call charge of $150 was high. They gave me two insanely high estimates for parts to repair the problem and another to replace the tank. I will not use this company again.

I used Mr Rooter in November to jet a pipe as we were having sewer smells in the house. If it occurred within a year, we could have it done again. They came back last week, incredibly professional and found that we need to change the degree of the pipe that connects to the sewer. This should stop items from being stuck in our sewer line. Great job, very responsive and they're back next week to do the fix.
Torrey was professional and very knowledgeable. We thought our problem was just a garbage disposal but also had him check another leak spot in the basement. He had to replace a toilet seal and some piping and explained what he had to do and showed me the parts etc. Disposal was rusted. Replacement parts were quality and he took his time to do a great job. He cleaned up all work areas well. We will request Torrey if we need a professional plumber again.
I had major work performed by Mr. Rooter recently. During this project I had the opportunity to experience the work of the plumbing and excavating division as the entire sanitary drain system from street to house was replaced, a new sump pump was installed, several shut off valves and fixtures were installed. Technicians on site multiple days. All team members were very respectful of yard and house while excavating and cutting through concrete floor for sewer line replacements, with as minimal disruptions to household as possible. Would highly recommend Mr. Rooter for any size plumbing job. Special shout out to Will and Joe who were on site start to finish.

The worse company ever, my water heater light went pilot went out and I did a troubleshoot on it but couldn't light it. Thomas came out to my house in May and charged us over $200 to fix it, the heater stopped again 1 month later so we called them back. This time coming out the guy tried charging $1000 for a new water heater, (just to install, because the one we have is under warranty).Knowing that that was just too much I told him I'll give them a call if I didn't find another way. So I decided to call the water heater manufacturer, told them i needed a new water heater. After telling him what happened over the phone he explained that nothing was wrong with my heater and walked me through simple steps and it lit right up.I never write bad reviews but this is just wrong morally, Thomas knew that that was the only issue but tried to make me buy a whole new water heater, im sure it was for a bonus. I understand but you don't do business like that, these guys are super convenient but besides that I would not suggest anybody calling these guys unless its a job you know what the issue really is, extremely disappointed.

Matt had great customer service skills, friendly, and knowledgeable. In today's climate, you have to be conservative about who you allow in your home and from the the moment he introduced himself, I had no worries! Thanks Matt! I am a happy customer ?

Jason came out to work on our toilet that was clogged. He assessed the situation and felt a new toilet was in order. He went and got one ( American standard ) and installed it. He was very professional and pleasant. I would ask for him again if the need arises
I had been putting off calling Mr. Rooter for years for my clogged gutter drainpipe mostly out of concern for the potential cost for such a repair. In the meantime I had tried any number of various DIY solutions but whatever I tried, my sump pump still would run constantly at the slightest drizzle of rain. I finally decided it was time to call in a professional. Not only was the repair performed within a week (after waiting years to make the call) but the cost was well below what my imagination dreamed up it would be. It has since rained heavily several times and my sump pump couldn't be happier. During a steady rain it waits many many minutes between cycles whereas before I had the repair it would cycle every 10-20 seconds. I couldn't be happier with the service, the repair and the cost. My only regret is that I didn't call years sooner.
Emergency main drain cleaning was scheduled after normal business hours.
From the initial call to the work that was done the process was easy, professional, seamless and quickly done! I highly recommend this company!

They explained what needed to be done but didn’t seem to want to do the work to fix it even though I approved their exorbitant estimate. Had to get someone else to dig the line and add a part to connect two lines which required a trip to Lowe’s (even though repairman told me it was a special part that he would have to drive to a special plumbing store to pick up). All of this was after I had paid $450. to snake and hydro jet the line to find the blockage. He had no interest in fixing the problem at all.
Were professional and gave pricing up front. Cost was fair. Explained what repair was needed and answered all questions. I am a first-time customer and pleased I chose them. They will be my first choice for all future needs.
The guy, Mitch, who came out was professional and awesome! Just purchased a condo, water suddenly turned lukewarm. Mitch came out and flushed the tank. Was able to get same day service. Recommended a new water tank sooner than later, it is fairly old, but was not pushy about it. Will definitely be getting it from them.

Mitch W. Was very professional. He was polite, friendly and explained the project to me. He purchased and installed a hand-held shower head that matched the existing plumbing. His timing was impeccable, and the price couldn't be beat. I am completely satisfied.
We just moved into a new house which we are discovering the previous owners didnt take the best care of after many issues. At 8 p.m one night we noticed all of our sinks were backing up and water was coming out in the laundry room. We called a few places but chose this company because they were available to come out within a half hour and the customer service over the phone was great. Torrey ( sorry if i spelled it wrong) came over and was very professional and knowledgeable. He was able to snake out our drains that were filled with black gunk and got everything working in a very reasonable amount of time. He was friendly and did a great job. We appreciated him coming out so close to closing time and helping us. Will reccomend this company to others

After our basement flooded from late March heavy rains, we have been cleaning up, painting ever since. This morning, main drain started backing up as washer was draining. Not wanting a repeat, we called Mr. Rooter, and they had a technician out in an hour, although they thought it would be several. Pleased with the entire experience. Torrey was professional, and very helpful.

When I called to make an appt.. they scheduled it for the very next day. Prior to the set appt., they notified me that Aaron would be there within the hour and sent a photo and name of the technician...Aaron H whom by the way arrived promptly, identifying himself and covering his shoes before entering my home. He immediately identified the problem, gave a price, and proceeded to repair the issue. I was very satisfied with the work. He was very professional. I would highly recommend this company MR. ROOTER PLUMBING
Jason came out to replace a toliet in my home. He was very professional and followed safety measures while in my home. He was very thorough and answered all my questions. I will definitely use them again for any future plumbing needs.

We used Mr. Rooter for the first time for a drainage issue we had on the exterior of our new home and a leaking upstairs spare bathroom toilet. Dustin (our technician) was super professional and very honest about what we really needed done. I didn't feel like he was trying to upcharge me like some other companies have done in the past. Chad was great. He was early and I was very pleased I got an appointment very quickly, as my elderly parents were doing w/o their downstairs half bath. At 88 and 89 yrs. old and handicapped, this was a hardship for them. I as well am handicapped, but was nearly sure the line had some sort of small clog and they had already flooded the floor yesterday messing w/ it. It took less than 5 mins. To clear w/ a 6 ft. Auger, that’s including trip to truck, lol. Even w/ a discount it was $120 ! We had no one else to work on it immediately, so I thank them for their speediness an caring employee, and am grateful he wore a mask and gloves due to vivid. Price was only reason I didn’t give a 5 . Thanks- Lea B.

Great experience! We called a couple of companies to help us when we found out we did not have hot water. Mr. Rooter came out that morning and we had hot water by the time I was home from work! Thank you for your courteous and quick response and providing excellent customer service.
Great service and fabulous technicians. They were able to schedule our service call promptly and Torrey was professional and took great care of us! I highly recommend them and will definitely use them again should those types of needs arise.
The young plumber who fixed our problem is named Jason. I don't know his last name. He has a very pleasant disposition. He did a fine job, triple-checked that the problem was solved, assured us that the company would stand by their work. Yup. Because on him, we'd certainly use the company again.

These guys came out after 10pm to deal with our situation and were so nice. Will was a great guy and did a wonderful job and he walked us through everything. The only complaint I have is the price. They charge the most outrageous prices for things, twice as much as others.
I scheduled an appointment 2 days prior and was told they would have someone out here between 8am and 10am on 8/1 to unclog a drain. I got a call at 9am, 11am, 12pm, and 1pm telling me they were short staffed and someone would be out as soon as possible. I am typically pretty patient and understanding, but by 2pm I could no longer wait for a plumber from Mr. Rooter, especially, when I had scheduled this appointment days in advance and they couldn't even give me ETA any of the times they called. I ended up contacting a different company last minute who was able to get out here and fix my issue. I purposely scheduled for the earliest possible time frame in the morning so this appointment would not eat up my entire day, but Mr. Rooter successfully wasted most of my day and I had to cancel my birthday lunch plans because of all this so I will not be using this company ever again for any of my plumbing needs. I apperciate them contacting me every hour to let me know they were running behind and short staffed, but this was a terrible first impression considering I had scheduled an appointment days prior and wasn't trying to be squeezed into the schedule at last minute. Very disappointed.

I call for service to one of my restaurants. First they tell me they need billing information to send the bill. I give them our home office for all our billing. They set up a time for arrive between 2pm-4pm. on Tue about close to 330pm they call saying they are backed up and won't be able to arrive till wed at 9am. Once the service tech arrives he informs the manager on duty of the estimate buy not stating they will need to money after the work is completed. Once the job was finish the tech then demands payment from the manager on duty. I call the home office to see why are we having to pay when they took all our billing information to send the bill. They say since covid they are no longer processeing any account payments anymore. When I asked why weren't we notified about this when we called for service or when the tech arrived. They one say well we must not of done a good job informing our team of our new policies. This was highly unprofessional stores do not keep petty cash around with out being notified before hand. I will not being using the company for any more services.

Was told my appt was on Friday 2-4pm, I mistakenly thought it was 2-3 so I called shortly after 3 and was told it was 2-4 and they were running on time; I called at 5:30 since there was no communication and learned they were running behind and if I would like to reschedule. I said I would wait for service call that day. I called back at 8:45pm where person answering told me I was mistaken, my appointment was 2-4 following day, no one said my appt was on the wrong day the 2 times I called earlier that day so I assume someone changed my appt without notifying me after my 2nd call. I did have a plumber come the following morning. He was professional and completed the work. Would have given him 5/5 rating but was displeased that my appt was changed without confirming with me.
It's never a good time for your water heater to die but Matt D. Made the process of getting it replaced easy and painless. He was very knowledgeable, polite and went above and beyond to get everything done right.
Tech was using a snake to clear out a clog in my kitchen sink. He said he got to an obstruction but he kept pounding away at it and then we go in the basement and find he had cracked a pipe at a T joint. He then proceeded to charge me to repair the damage he just caused. I called and spoke to a manager and he said that he did replace a large section of pipe, which he caused when he busted my pipe! Manager then said he’d talk to the tech and call me back, of course I never received that phone call either. One of the worst experiences ever! Think twice before using this company!
I had a standby generator put in and Derrick connected it to the gas line. He also relit my hot water heater. He was very friendly and professional
Today we had Martin and Domiyc (who isn't currently on the review site list to select his name, come on guys) from Mr. Rooter come to our residence to give us an estimate on a job. We had waste water and sewage backing up through a drain in out house. They weren't the cheapest estimate for the job, but they were definitely the best choice. They explained my options to me in detail, answered all my questions, even walked me out to the truck and showed me the equipment and explained how each worked and how the choices would work for our situation. This was all before I made the decision to use their services.Our issue turned out to be much greater than we expected going in, but these gentlemen helped us as much as they possibly could with clearing everything out. We found out that we have a huge repair job ahead of us replacing part of our sewer line. We couldn't start that job today, but they got our sewer line running again for the price they quoted us at the beginning.These men are my heroes today.Thank you Martin and Dominyc.

Columbus, OhioI am always the skeptic and always feel like the service/trade industry is trying to screw me over. Furthermore, my wife was home and not the most knowledgeable of house projects...so all the set up for being taken advantage of. So when she calls me and tells me she agreed to a camera and hydraulic cleaning, I thought here we go again! But on the contrary, they spent hours doing the job correctly, and even came back the next day to finish up and stuck to the original quoted price. Hard workers, professional, clean, clear communication during the process (His name was Adam). My house is 95 years old with original sewer drains, and this is the best things have flowed since we bought the house 15 years ago.
I had a tech come out to finish install of a water heater. We recently had some plumbing done by a different company and this tech offered to run a camera down the line (free of charge) to check their work. A coworker showed up and told me we had significant damage to our line and there was a huge rootball and that they could fix it for $5500. I told them I’d rather have the original plumbers come back because I had just paid them. These gentlemen continued to fear monger me until I asked them to leave. The original plumber just left my house and I watched the camera go completely through my sewer line to the street and there is not one thing wrong with it. Absolutely criminal sales tactics. Buyer beware.

My sewer line caused water backup in my basement on MEMORIAL DAY!! I called Mr Rooter and they came right out and fixed problem. I am very impressed at the timely response and efficient work. I would definitely recommend them.

What began as a small repair, or so I thought, turned out to be a major project. My house is nearly 70 years old and still had almost all it's original plumbing except the hot water heater, which was 28 years old, if you can believe it. Now everything is new and under warranty. Since I have plans to sell my house in the next few years, I have a great deal of satisfaction knowing everything is new and will not give me any problems, and that I know I'm passing on a good home to whoever buys it.I think every single Mr. Rooter team member was in my home at some time during the week the repairs were being done. Each and every team member was polite and took time to make sure I understood what, and WHY these repairs were being done.I only have one negative comment to make. I am very time conscientious, and just really impatient. If you are thinking of doing business with Mr. Rooter, keep this in mind...they will be late (hours, not minutes), every day, but they will work their buts off once they get there.
Aaron H. was prompt, polite, and very professional. He quickly assessed our problem, described in detail how we would be fixing the issue, and provided an up-front estimate on the cost of the service. He got to work and solved our issue within 30 minutes. Mr. Rooter will be our first call if we have any plumbing issues in the future.
