John Davis at The Waterworks is a saint!! We just moved into our new home and found an intense list of problems that our home inspector didn't catch. The previous owners/flippers did almost nothing properly. He showed up on time, was extremely helpful and professional, fixed EVERYTHING and even found some new problems and took care of them on the spot. I am incredibly thankful that he understood the assignment of helping us fix what we could without breaking our wallets and I will definitely be using the waterworks for any of our future plumbing needs.

Super happy with the service Waterworks provided! After having less than stellar interactions with three previous plumbing companies over the years, it was was such a relief that Waterworks A) came on time B) were super friendly, professional and communicative C) were honest about fixing my problem without trying to sell me anything extra or unnecessary. Would definitely recommend and will absolutely be using them for any future problem I have.

Woke up at 1 am to a flooded basement. Sump pump failure. Nightmare! Called 10+ places in the area with 24/7 emergency response, and only waterworks came to the rescue. Ivan came within 15 minutes, replaced the pump, and helped me clear the water. Wonderful service. I'd use them again in a heartbeat.Big thanks to you, Waterworks & Ivan!

Waterworks was great to work with from start to finish. They were prompt in their communications and starting and finishing a major sewer repair. They were available and willing to walk me through the steps of the repair, provide recommendations, and answer any questions I had. Everyone that came to our house was professional, hardworking, and knowledgeable. In addition, the final cost of the project did not differ from the original estimate provided. In June 2022, we identified sewage backing up into our basement. Every time we used any water, we got more backup in the basement. We called a plumber (not Waterworks) to snake it (Wednesday). They spent 2+ hours and were not able to clear the blockage. We have an exterior sewer line policy through a home warranty company. I called to report the blockage. They sent someone out to snake (Thursday, no success), then hydrojet (Friday, again, no success). They located the blockage via camera, and it was under our concrete garage floor. Our little sewer basement backup turned into a major and very costly repair. We proceeded to do our due diligence and get 3 estimates for the repair. I was hesitant to call Waterworks, but based on a recommendation, I had them come out to provide an estimate. This was the best decision I made during this process. We did not have use of facilities in our home during this time and were staying elsewhere, so time was of the essence. Waterworks came out same day (within an hour) to provide an estimate (Monday). Their estimate was 33% less than another major service provider in the area.We had the estimate and knew we wanted to go with Waterworks. The next step was to work with the home warranty company to get everything approved before the work could start. When needed, Waterworks jumped on the phone, called the home warranty company, got them the information they needed, and we had the approvals to start the work (Tuesday).Immediately after that (within minutes), Waterworks jumped on getting the appropriate permits and they came out on Wednesday to start the job. The job took 3 days, but we had use of facilities back on the day they started the work. The job involved breaking up the concrete floor of our garage, excavating (7+ feet down), repairing the compromised sewer line and fixing some other areas that could cause future problems (a separate issue Waterworks identified during the repair).Sean and the crews that came out were exceptional. They were always right on time (even early). It was a hot and smelly job, but they got right to work and worked hard. On Day 1, they identified the problem and made a temporary repair so that we could be back in the house that day. On Day 2 they removed the temporary repair and made a permanent repair. On Day 3, they filled the giant hole and reinstalled the concrete flooring. Sean kept us informed every step of the way. He gave us options and recommendations throughout the process. I also appreciated that on several occasions I saw Sean educating some of the other crew members on what he was seeing and potential approaches to remedy. After the repair was complete, we had to work with the home warranty company to get reimbursed for the work. After we submitted our reimbursement paperwork (with lots of detail provided by Waterworks), the home warranty company had follow-up questions for Waterworks. Waterworks always provided prompt responses to keep the reimbursement process moving. As homeowners, we try to prepare for the unexpected. This was beyond unexpected in terms of scope and cost. Waterworks really went above and beyond to provide a high quality and timely repair, as well as to work with our home warranty company so that we could be reimbursed for the cost.

The Water Works saved the night. Came home from work and found a leaking water pipe. I called The Water Works and within minutes they had Arthur scheduled to fix the pipe. He arrived within two hours. Arthur was friendly and able to quickly determine what was wrong and the best way to fix it. He also took the time to do some research so he could give me accurate advice. He walked me through what I needed to do after the glue set and the water could be turned back on. I also appreciated being told the accurate service charge for an emergency late evening appointment and the charge for fixing it. This isn’t the third time ur family has used The Water Works and I would not hesitate to use them again. Thank you!!

We discovered a leak in the hallway of our condo building at 2pm on a Friday, and after much investigation, our management company was unable to locate the source of the leak. We called multiple plumbing companies and Waterworks was the only company that was willing/able to send a tech on a Friday afternoon/evening, and on top of that, they did not charge the after-hours rate because we scheduled prior to 8pm. The tech diagnosed the problem within 10 minutes of arriving on site (pinhole leak behind drywall), and had it repaired within an hour, doing relatively little damage to the wall and leaving the area clean and dry. The company even sent a second tech to help on his way home from his final job, to expedite our repair. The price was very reasonable - $340. We very much appreciated being able to have water for the weekend and would highly recommend Waterworks!

I have owned hundreds of apartments over the years, I have used many plumbing companies with the exception of the WARERWORKS all the plumbing companies either showed up late gave me a written estimate on the price and when the job was finished the original estimate was always more. And most important many times the plumbing companies I have used did not correct the original problem or diagnosed it incorrectly. I have found the WATERWORKS to be ethical honest and dependable.

Had a plumber show up and he immediately left for an hour because he forgot something. Comes back, then says oops I got the wrong part I’ll be right back then leaves for another hour. Comes back and finally does the job. Hands me a $500 bill saying they charge $100 per hour and I have to pay for his two road trips. I refused to sign and called the company to try and resolve this issue. Never got contacted, never got any replies. Then they sent the bill to collections instead of ever speaking to me. This company is ran by scammers and I strongly recommend you never ever use this company for anything. The most interesting part of my appointment was the plumber stating that waterworks is the worst company he has ever worked for and was desperately seeking a new job. It really says a lot about a company when their own employees have nothing but negative things to say.

Arthur was friendly, not overbearing. He quickly shared his observations and delineated potential liability ($ and aesthetic) but was upbeat and positive. My experience was excellent. Brad made an extra effort to come in the same day as I called as his schedule was busier the day I was scheduled. He called to verify what water heater was needed so that he could have it with him and only needed one stop. He was in and out in under three hours having tested everything and with the old tank loaded into his work vehicle. Excellent and very professional service. Came in, did what I needed to have done quickly and efficiently. I will use them again in the future if needed.

My friend recommended this company when my AC gave out during some of the hottest days of July. They were easy to schedule with and super communicative—I’ve rarely had any kind of maintenance/repair services actually let me know when the technician is on their way, as well as updating me midway during the appointment window to let me know that the technician still plans to come that day. Jason was really professional and went the extra mile to get the parts needed. I’ll definitely be using Waterworks again!

Waterworks called to give me 30 minute notice, then the plumber, Cornell, called when he got to my house to make sure he was parked conveniently. He was very friendly and explained exactly what he was going to do. He ended up having to go all the way to the basement to get the clog completely opened, but never seemed put out at the extra work. Everywhere he worked was left spotless, he made sure the only sign of his work was the job well done. The credit card payment process was easy and he reminded me of the 90 day warranty. We will definitely use Waterworks in the future, and I highly recommend them to anyone with plumbing issues!

Ivan was a very relaxed and friendly person when he came the 1st time. He checked out the faucet and explained there was a hole in the line of the faucet and he could change the line but since the faucet was 6 years old it would be easier and more efficient to put in a new one. I told him I would go buy a new one and would schedule a new time he could come back. He said fine and made a note that another Service charge would not be added to the bill. He came back today and saw I had purchased a bathroom faucet and not a kitchen faucet. I asked him to go with me to buy a kitchen faucet so I would get the right kind. He was ok with that and went to Lowe’s, got a kitchen faucet, returned back to the house and he went to work installing the new one. He was very efficient in his work and was done in no time at all. He left me his phone number in case I had and problems after he left. If I have any other issues, I will definitely make sure I ask for Ivan to be my service provider!

My bath tub stopper was stuck (from me trying to remove it). He got it out, showed me how to use it, and that the seal was broken. He advised me that I could get a replacement at any hardware store. It was wonderful, to buy a replacement that day at Ace for about $6. Which I then installed myself. I have used Water Works for many things, and would highly recommend them.

We had to call waterworks early Saturday afternoon due to a basement flood. Jose came right out was very knowledgeable, kept us informed during the whole process. Jose stayed for over seven hours to try to unblock the clog come to find out it is something with a pipe underground that will need additional work. So far the experience with waterworks has been awesome. We will be doing the additional repairs with them as soon as we get the estimate and ok to start the work.

Previous to bringing in Waterworks, we had a different company to the house who told us they were unable to clear a clog in our basement and wanted to charge us thousands of dollars to dig up the yard and replace portions of the pipe. We called Waterworks for a second opinion. Shortly after Jose from Waterworks arrived it became clear that Jose knew much more about drains than the previous company. Jose went the extra mile (and then some) to clear our drain. He was polite, professional and patient. I highly recommend this company.

Waterworks' business practices have changed. They are no longer a reputable, trust-worthy company. We have been a customer for four years but now we will never use their service again. After their technician arrived and talked on the phone for 30 minutes, Waterworks decided not to honor their own one year warranty and to charge us for this service call. We just had service in January but they refused to honor their own one year warranty. Unacceptable! Beware of their warranty, it may not actually exist but of course you only find that out when the technician arrives and decides to come inside. Extremely disappointing!

Waterworks came out to my mother's house, and the repair took place 2 days earlier than scheduled! Andy was very courteous and honest. There really wasn't anything wrong with the sump pump, but Andy advised that a minor tweak might help with water spraying out of a smaller than usual pit, and moving the check valve lower would help as well. He had the parts on the truck, and the job was finished in less than 20 minutes! I appreciated the fact that Andy provided my elderly mother with peace of mind.

Called to get an estimate for sewer line replacement, and was greeted with an I'm sorry we don't do estimates for that type of work unless we know that it needs it. After explaining the situation of the constant clogs, that they were caused by roots and the age of the line we were told: yea we can't just send a tech out to do an estimate they have to survey the line first. After going round and round for 10 mins on just scheduling an appointment I was told they would put something on the books and see if a tech would accept the job as is or if they would kick it back out and refuse to come out. If they were to refuse they would let me know by calling back. Never heard a word until the day of the appointment (today), which was to confirm the appointment and to let me know they were on their way shortly. They get to the house, not knowing why they are even there and then proceed to give me the same excuses about they have to camera the line first. I said, sure as long as you aren't charging me for it since this is for an estimate of line replacement. Their response was that it was an $400+ TO INSPECT the line and then they would determine IF THEY WANTED to replace the line. This is totally unacceptable, as the line definitely does need replaced and they were told this upfront and the history behind the request and then proceed to try and charge me extra services, provide nothing but hassle instead of service. Stay clear if you want actual professional work done on your pipes. If they are this hard to hire for a job, I can only imagine what kind of hard-headedness they would provide once hired.I had all the necessary information for you to give an estimate but no one wanted to listen to the CUSTOMER. I stand by your poor professionalism, which you are still demonstrating in your response to the situation. Instead of taking responsibility in your company's actions you are trying to shift blame on someone that tried hiring you for a job that you refused to take, despite the fact that you clearly claim to do this exact type of work.

There is no customer loyalty to this company (20 year customer). Had a sewage backup yesterday and we called at 4 and were turned away. They couldnt be out for 2 days with no offer of 24/7 service. We went with another company because of this and they got us in the next morning for first call. I wouldnt recommend waterworks to my worst enemy.

Brandon was an excellent technician. We bought a new washer but it couldn’t be connected due to corroded faucets and drain pipes I. The wrong position. Our house is 140 years old and a good degree of creativity is needed for many different installations. Brandon was very creative in installing new water supply pipes, faucets, and drain pipes for the washer and the laundry sink. In addition, Brandon was a very nice person who quickly made friends with our dog. We were thrilled with his work

Andy from Waterworks removed an old tankless water heater and installed a Navien tankless water heater. Andy was very knowledgeable about the Navien. He handled the gas lines, vents, and the water lines with ease. The installation was very neat with no leaks. He explained in very detail how the Navien worked and what I should do to maintain it. I highly recommend Andy and Waterworks for the installation of a tankless water heater.

Sunday morning, noticed standing water in finished basement- appeared to be rising. Waterworks had someone out within the hour. Mike Perry was awesome- located the issue, explained and walked me through. He was thorough and double checked that it was the only issue. Apparently roots has grown into sump pump and killed it. Ice melts had water backed up. He cleaned out and replaced the system and even cleared the residual standing water and all was great. Mike was outstanding!!

Hot water tank went bad and needed it replaced ASAP. Called The Waterworks on a personal family recommendation and couldn’t have been more pleased with the experience. Got a hold of someone right away who got me scheduled for the following day at noon. Got a call around 11am the following day from dispatch stating that the tech could come earlier then noon - awesome! Tech was professional and worked quickly and took time to even explain what happened and why. Got a new tank installed quickly and made it a point to clean up which was very much appreciated. Highly recommend if you are looking for dependable quality service at a fair price!

Called them on New Year's Day on a bad sump pump. Asked the technician to replace the sump pump that I bought myself. He gave me a quote of $300 on top of the $190 emergency call charge, which really caught me off guard. I tried to negotiate with him. He said no and left promptly. So it turned out to be a quick and easy $190 for him. Are all of these plumbers this type of shameless person? They are already charging a lot and still shamelessly avoid the hard work with whatever the excuse they can get. Bad technician, bad company!

Ryan was amazing! Our water heater was less than 5-years old and he identified a Manufacturer defect. Rather than sell me a new water heater, he called the manufacturer, filed a warranty claim, and secured a replacement unit at no cost. Then, Ryan took out the broken unit, returned it to Lowe's, picked up the warranty replacement, returned to my home and installed it. He was fast, resourceful, professional, and able to complete everything before noon. I would highly recommend The Waterworks!

Water heater was intermittently going out so i scheduled a service appointment. Minimum wait time was 3 days. During that time, the heater comes back on. I keep my appointment and describe the problem to the tech when he comes out. Although the problem was very specific about how the pilot light and burners were cycling on and immediately shutting off, he said there was nothing he could do since it was working, but he'd come back if it failed again (of course it would) and he'd waive the service fee, which i already paid.As predicted, the hot water heater goes out again and I call in. The receptionist tells me i'll need to make an appointment, which of course is another 3 days. I ask her to put my message through to the tech who said he'd come back, but i never heard anything. After another day, the hot water heater comes back on.Fast forward several days and it goes out again. Do i want to deal with another 3 day wait only for it to come back on again? I called another company with same day service who was out within 3 hours. The service tech called the technical support line for the manufacturer of my heater and described the problem (as I did to the waterworks tech). Technical support provided 2 - 3 reasons why the problem was occurring and after some internal cleaning, the burners stayed lit. Seems to be problem solved.

Affordable pricing! I had concerns about my house being over 150 yrs old. Clearly Waterworks had done installations in houses like mine before with low ceiling in basement. They were in and out in an afternoon. My breaker box wasn't up to par for the AC part so I had it replaced over the winter by a contractor. I called Waterworks back and set an appt. with them to come out and attach an outdoor line to the new box. The service guy arrived on time and had my AC running in an hour. My installation went smoothly and they put my mind at ease.

Waterworks has consistently let me down in business and in service. The most recent issue was an attempt on our part to schedule a very simple grease trap cleaning. First, They claimed my business was locked out for an outstanding debt from 2017 when that debt was attached to the previous tenants of the same address. Then, after scheduling the service with plenty of lead time, we were told that we had to fill out a credit app to work with them despite the fact that we wanted to pay cod. After wasting time on the credit app they came back to deny the app even though the business has great credit, good credit history and a successful financial footprint. After being told the CFO would call me to discuss the matter the same customer service rep called back to tell me it was due to insufficient information. Then she told me the service scheduled was never actually scheduled even though we have a voicemail confirming it. This company is deceptive and does not care about its customers nor do their C-suite actually take the time to resolve the issues they promised to resolve. Don't hire them as I am certain you will regret it and if you do no one will be there to help you. Good day.

Jose came out to work on my drain for my sump pump. I was on the road so I left a message for him to call me when he got there so that we could discuss the issues since I thought I knew where the problem was. He listened carefully and checked everything that we thought was the issue. Since we knew we had more work to do he mark the spots for future reference and left everything neat and clean. We will have them back to take care of our final solution which is replacing a crushed drain pipe.He is excellent.

I've used waterworks 5 different times at two homes in the past 4 years. As a single woman I always worry about being taken advantage of but I've never felt that way with The Waterworks. They are always on time, professional and answer all my questions. Yesterday I had what I thought was a discharge drain problem but it was actually a septic problem. The technician (which I'm sorry I didnt catch his name) went above and beyond to give me referrals to licensed septic companies, he gave me opinions on fixes and walked me through everything in my basement. As someone who just bought the house I really appreciated his expertise and taking the time with me. I also have animals and he was sure to keep doors shut and watch for them when coming in/out. I cant recommend The Waterworks enough and I appreciate them being upfront with their costs and they generally fit me with quickly.

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. In October they came out to install a battery for my Watchdog battery backup for my sump pump. By March the battery backup began beeping incessantly. I added distilled water and the system kept beeping. I knew that the Waterworks technician had run to Home Depot to buy the battery he replaced. So I a) Called Waterworks who said, sorry, you're out of warranty. and b) Called the Watchdog battery backup company who told me that the Waterworks technician installed the wrong battery type and that it would continue to malfunction as a result. When I asked why the system had worked fine till now, Watchdog said this is typical - but the system will eventually break down.Today Waterworks came back out and told me I was out of luck because they only warranty the parts/work for 90-days. I suppose I should be happy they didn't charge me their $60 fee for visiting my house to tell me I was out of that $300 I paid them to install the wrong battery.I have a lot of plumbing choices. I've used Waterworks for years. NEVER AGAIN.

Excellent work by professionals. The only gripe I have is the cost. We had 1 outdoor faucet replaced. It took less than 20 minutes (I know that is not the full basis of a price but it was a simple fix). It was $345 after a $40-off coupon). I was in a hurry and did not call around for different quotes. If this is the going rate for an outdoor faucet repair (straight pipe from outside wall to inside cold water supply, cut pipe, slide in new pipe with new faucet, crimp faucet pipe to cold water supply pipe- -bam, done) then I'm simply astounded. I did look on Angie's List for approximate cost for this repair and they said between $150 to $300. It just seemed like a real easy job for the rate ($385 without coupon). Other than the price they were quick, professional, and did a great job. I would recommend them if cost is not an option to you.(Update 8/26/20): I replied to their reply but they did not get back with me. To be sure, it was indeed a job done by Waterworks at our house.

Brandon was wonderful. We called Waterworks at 1:30 am because we needed a replacement sump pump, especially since it had been raining for days. I was told the approximate time, Brandon showed up and took care of business. We now have a very good sump pump with a 3 year battery backup, so I am no longer worried about our finished basement. He was friendly, thorough, he explained what he was doing, he explained the pricing, he wore footies to keep our carpet clean, he was quiet since the family was asleep (even my dog didn't hear him. ha!), and once he was finished, he left the space spotless and explained everything. Evening work is expensive but it was worth it. We now have peace of mind. I have used Waterworks a few times in the last 10 years, and I'm never disappointed. You get what you pay for.

We had a couple of guys come out this past Monday I wish I could remember their names but I'm an old guy now, I wanted them to install this washer box with hammer arrestors in a difficult piping situation so they took it on, did a beautiful looking pipe routing but the valves on the box were bad resulting in a dreaching for the tech, after a change of clothes(pro tip) and some good humor, which I appreciated, he put in some nice valves he had in the truck. He also told me about hammer arrestors that attached to valves so I got some of those and put them on the back of the washer. All of this resulted in a very solid solution to the problem I was having. I appreciate those guys whose names I should be able to recall being professional and human. Will use again and recommend. Thanks.

We had a water line break that needed repaired within two weeks per water company. When looking on here and Angie's list I added them to my list. They responded almost immediately and were out to meet with us the next day. Scott arrived on time and even called to let me know he was on his way! The price quoted was in our budget and competitive with others (actually a little less) so we chose them. We had the fix scheduled for a few days later. My only complaint is they showed up a half hour later than promised but they were polite and did the job so I won't complain about that too much. I remember the one worker's name was Cody, and he was very professional and helpful. We ended up paying less because they were hesitant about digging the entire line because it was so close to the gas line. So they just fixed the broken part. We're happy with their service.

Hired to upgrade the water service from 3/4 to 1.Came out quickly, gave a price, and scheduled the work reasonably quick. The team arrived, dug the trench as agreed, cut the old copper tube at the curb stop, cut the old water main out inside the house and that's the end of the positive experience. They complained about the in-ground manifold used to adapt the curb stop assembly from 3/4 to 1. This is after they had me order a special assembly FROM COLUMBUS PUBLIC WATER UTILITY. This includes an email chain discussing the project and the scope and everything before-hand between the waterworks, the city's water engineers and supervisor, and myself. They called the chief water utility engineer (one of the people on the email chain) and he said that's the proper setup like we had discussed. The waterworks wasn't happy with that answer so they called the department head of the city water utility and he (also on the email chain) said my engineer is right. This is the correct equipment per our earlier discussions. The waterworks wasn't happy with that answer either so they called the head of the public water utilities (not on the email chain) who eventually told the waterworks that it was a bad idea to continue with the work using the 3/4-1 setup because it could freeze in the winter so the waterworks said they aren't going to install it.So that was $75 down the drain (back to that later). So now what exactly are they going to do?Well you'd think that since they aren't going to do the work they breached the contract and would give me the $ back. Well that didn't happen. We can't restore your old service because we already cut it twice - at the curb and inside your house so you'll have to pay us to run a new 3/4 line to your house otherwise you won't have water service anymore.Yes indeed you read that right. I have to pay them to undo their negligence/incompetence.

Well, well, the crooks of Columbus. I will start off by saying work is completed, however we got hosed on the price. For less than 3hours of work, the company collected north of $3500 (for exact figures, feel free to reach out!) and have been shady since completion of work.Estimator comes out and assess the issue. Said estimator writes up a proposal for the insurance company. This is where everything in my opinion went south. Anthony Merriman ,the estimator we were working with, was tasked with writing up the proposal. I know your saying ,he is an estimator, he should be writing up estimates as no one knows fully what a job entails until they get into it. You have an idea of what would be needed, and after seeing his proposal (submitted 2 days after the fact, because he had his anniversary and that was more important. I have an infant in the house and hot water is pretty important in the care for children. So he had more pressing matters to get to is why the proposal got back to us late.) So already, bad taste in my mouth but hey, this is a big company, surely they'll take care of it. You have estimators giving outrageous bids and for the first time working with the, I assumed it was an estimate on any and everything that could happen, because the repair was fairly straight forward. I have very little plumbing experience however I know cost of construction and what these items cost at home improvement stores. So after all work had been completed, bill remained the same. Tried for 3 weeks to talk to someone about it and after trying to get a hold of Mr. Sheffield with operations (didn't catch his first name) no one returned calls or emails, hence the unprofessional designation. They know they price gouged and didn't want to address it.The tech was gone at lunch or doing whatever it is that he was doing for almost an hour and a half. He says he was collecting supplies needed for repair...Lowe's is 5 minutes from my house and you needed under $100 in material and nothing special (pipe to splice in where leak was at, concrete, and small hand tools if they came unprepared, which they probably did to drive the price up even more). I also did research on acquiring a jack hammer (which I would assume the concrete division would have one, but even still) the rental for a jack hammer for 24 hours is a lot less than one would think. So in addition to the techs being gone for close to an hour and a half, the lead tech left his phone charging at my house. I have been told by contractor friends that this is a common move in all fields of contract work, to leave a phone when they don't want to be bothered or talk, meaning they aren't doing work anywhere else unless it's to their own house. They were more than likely killing time, eating some food to try and make it seem like they were working on this job a long time so they could say everything in the proposal was legit. It is honestly pathetic and I wish there were more honest companies, especially in a big city like Columbus. Will try my hardest to never use again and to continue to let people know what type of company The WaterWorks really is.To recap:-Estimators over price everything, might even be related to the tech. That would explain why he over priced everything, to help his family out? Shady any way you look at it. If the price of the service can go up, it should be able to go down within reason. Either that or more competent estimators are needed for a company as big as this.-Techs are not honest, were gone almost as long as they were working and didn't even have the decency to look me in the eye and answer me when I asked him about pricing and how it would be adjusted. He knew he was screwing us as soon as he showed up.-Customer service is less than ideal, no one gets back to you or cares to explain anything. Seems like their tactic is to push aside until someone forgets about it. I had to call for 3 weeks in a row to get any answers.-Price gougers. Just like any other major company, they're in it for the money, by any means necessary.

Awesome customer service and quick repair. We had a leak coming from our dining room light fixture in the ceiling and were so freaked out by what was happening. I called Waterworks in the morning and within a few hours Evan arrived and I could not be happier with the service he provided. He was friendly and very professional. He quickly identified the issue after examining all possibilities. Through his expertise he fixed the issue and completed the repair in an extremely efficient manner. I hope to not need a plumber in the near future but when I do I will surely call Waterworks. It’s no wonder they came so highly recommended with technicians like Evan working for them. Thank you for your help!

Our hot water tank started leaking and needed replaced. We called The Waterworks and Ryan Williams and Mitch Graham came to our home to install the new tank for us, they were both amazing. The work was done quickly and efficiently, they were very nice, polite young men and the new tank install looks better than the one done when our house was built! My husband and I will most assuredly recommend the this company to our family and friends. Thank you Ryan and Mitch for a job well done!!John and Angie Brazzell

All of our interactions with the staff at the waterworks were friendly and informative. They were able to come out much more quickly than I ever expected and got the job done quickly. They were on time and friendly. Their prices seemed on the higher end of the range according to a quick google search but their friendliness and excellent work have made us happy with our decision to use them.

Professional, prompt and provide great service. I had a bad clog. The Tech had to work very hard to get it unclogged, but he did with no problem. I like how he went to the basement to check what type of pipes the house has. I highly recommend them. The pricing was great as well. Thanks Again Waterworks!!!! Great Job!!!

I used Waterworks to replace my sewer line, install a sump pump and roughs ins for a bathroom, and wet bar in my basement. The sales person was very professional during the bid process and gave us a good price for the work. The sales person was also honest about the urgency of some of the work which was not the case with some of the other contractors we spoke to. However once they started the work we had a number of problems. First they put the sink in the wrong location 2 times despite the fact that we had marked the location for them on the wall with permanent marker. Next, they called and told me that they had finished the work. However, when I came home I found that crucial parts of the project had not been touched and they left the basement looking like a mud pit. Finally, to top it all off they got a tool stuck in my sewer line on a Friday and had to shut off my plumbing for the weekend until they could get a permit to dig up the alley behind my house to get the tool out. After all these issues they were fair with me in issuing me a credit for the work but it wasn't worth the headache. A year and a half later my basement flooded when my sump pump failed due to the check valve not being installed properly. When I asked them to come out and look at the sump pump they told me they had no record of them installing a sump pump at my house! I would never recommend using this company even if they give you the best price. I think they are honest and ethical which is great but unfortunately those qualities can't cover up technical incompetency and bad record keeping.

I was referred to The Waterworks for a potentially expensive project ($3000-6000), but was told that in order to receive an estimate I would have to schedule for someone to come out with a camera. That was fine with me.However, what was not fine was when I asked for the cost of the camera appointment, the lady could not quote a price. I asked about a possible price range...we are unable to give you a price until we get out there. I asked, Is it going to be around $50, or could it be $400? Just a ballpark is fine. Her response was they do not give prices over the phone and I would be given the price for the appointment after the person did the assessment. They may do fantastic work, but I can't imagine hiring someone for an unknown cost before the assessment even starts.Update, in response to the owner's response: I appreciate that you took the time to respond. However, your analogy does not make sense. You are correct that I would not be able to quote an accurate price for a person's entire treatment plan before I see him/her; however, we have set evaluation fees. Your evaluation fee is where my issue lies. If someone needs an examination, we can accurately give them a price for that assessment. For me, personally, I am uncomfortable agreeing to an assessment for which no price range can be given.I raised my rating from 2* up to 3* because I appreciate that you care enough to respond, and I really do not have experience with your work. But, as a fellow business-owner, I would encourage you to consider setting fee parameters for the initial evaluation, as many of your industry colleagues and competitors have done.

We have hired waterworks a few times and always been happy. Recently, we had them come out and replace our current disposal and sink with a new one. They did great work and were friendly! The bottom line for Waterworks is that you are going to pay towards the higher end of the reasonable range of fees, BUT what you get is guaranteed excellence. If you are shopping for the cheapest, Waterworks may not be it. But, I do think they are the best.

We had another plumber come out and left sewage in our cellar and told us the problem was a crushed sewage pipe. I looked at Water Works because they do financing, I called and Rob came out. He was professional, and courteous. He ran the camera and let us know it was just a block. He fixed the problem in an hour and it was less than half the cost of the other plumber. He took the time to show us the pipes, explain what caused the problem, and what we would need to do to prevent problems in the future. Rob was the best and we will definitely be using Water Works for all our future plumbing needs!!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! This was our second experience with The Waterworks and both times have been Exceptional! This time, Michael P. was our technician. He arrived on time, was super professional and respectful of our home and he even wore booties, a face mask, gloves and protected out kitchen floors with drop clothes. He also explained everything he was doing along the way, described why our problem occurred, cleaned our drain quickly and cleaned up afterward. We would HIGHLY recommend The Waterworks for plumbing problems in the Columbus area -- they are now our go to plumbers.

I used this company one time. The actual repair service was acceptable however they then put me on some sort of email list that I cannot get off of. I now get service contracts and requests for payment for places I don’t even live at and survey requests for services that I never had. I have asked numerous times to be taken off this list and have never gotten a reply. It’s incredibly unprofessional and stupidly annoying. I would suggest not using this business. There are plenty of other companies just as good that are more professionally run.

Great Technician and customer service. However, be aware if you call for a weekend repair. The initial cost to come out $190, is just for them to show up. Then the service/ repair is added on. So the visit was about 15 minutes and $500. I understand this is part of the emergency service. However it is very excessive, rough numbers, they charged me $2,000 an hour to help with a drain. I am sure the technician get's very little of that hourly rate.

We've used the Waterworks before in the past but was not satisfied with the most recent visit. We had a kitchen sink that was clogged up so their tech came by to fix it and offer an estimate of the full price. I knew up front that there would be a service fee of $60 that would roll into the full service price (BTW not all plumbers charge this) but what I didn't know was that the price to unclog the drain was $214 and it only took 20mins to do. Really?? $214 for 20mins of work and there were no parts needed?? If that's the case then their Labor rate is over $600/hour which seems a bit on the high-end. All the folks that I dealt with on the phone leading up to the appnt and the tech were very nice and professional but their pricing is not customer friendly. For 20min of work there should be some price ceiling. I filled out their post-service survey and shared my experience asking for someone to call me but no one has. Buyer-beware here.. :-( Scott

I can't say enough wonderful things about this company. They put in a new furnace and worked until 11:30pm to get me operating after one of the worst weeks of my life. Experienced horrific pipe bursts, flooding, and personal trauma. These people are the best at what they do, very professional and experienced and gave me an exemplary price for both a furnace and A/C unit. And to top it off.....after all they had done to fix us and replace us and get us back operating....this morning they sent me the most beautiful bouquet of flowers I have ever seen!!!!!!!! Now that....is classy! They will never know how much that self-less act of kindness made me feel after the week I'd been through. This place is phenomenal. Comfortworks has had to come to our home several times in order to figure out why a hybrid unit in a newly built room hasn't worked. They ultimately replaced the unit, after trying literally everything else. On the way, I received prompt service and thoughtful visitors during this pandemic--these guys were the only people we let into our house for weeks, and they were always great. If I had been answering their phones, I might have seen the phone number that meant another trip our way, and run screaming into the woods--but they were always patient and prompt in responding. We even received calls along the way, when they wanted us to know they hadn't forgotten us. They have also been more than fair about the billing for the work, given how many attempts it took to address the problem. Grateful, and will recommend!

I was charged $247 for a technician to put a small hole in the ceiling of my garage. I requested weekend service, so I understand that the service fee might be more expensive (in this case, $100), but an additional $147 for the 5 minutes it took him to make the hole, and not clearly articulate the problem/resolution seems a bit comical. Image if I would have had the technician continue to troubleshoot and fix the problem. If this price point is representative of the plumbing industry, then bad on me, but creating more damage than when he arrived, charging $247, and not resolving my issue seems off. I called into the office to review my bill that same day and was told I'd hear from someone by the next business day; I'm still waiting for that call.

10/17/2019 edit: We were contacted by the customer service director and she apologized and made amends...including mentioning they were going to start the feedback loop and talk with their dispatch team and customer service representatives about handling delays in service. I appreciate them reaching back out to us and refunding our money--that's the best you can hope for given a very unfortunate and frustrating situation. We called the day before we wanted someone to come out. Verified we could get on the schedule as a non-emergency, and scheduled a time...great! After shifting schedules a bit to accommodate the appointment, the end of the 4 hour block passes us. No word from anyone. Call and verify someone is still coming out. The answer we get is yes, but they're swamped and can't put a timeline on it other than a 30 minutes call ahead...fair enough. Two more hours elapse. I call back. Still on the schedule and they tell me that I'm next and so we go get dinner. 8 pm rolls around and still nothing. No call or anything. I call back and am told technician is 20-25 min out...the dispatcher tried to call my number. I tell them I've had my phone on high volume and have been checking every 20 min for any misses calls. Finally someone comes. 4.5 hours after the initial appointment ended. Technician was super nice, but I wasn't even apologized to by the customer care person or management. We couldn't do dishes, couldn't give kids a bath, etx because we expected to have the drain fixed by bedtime and someone hadn't even been dispatched at 8.I will never deal with this company again because of how long we waited, with no explanation whatsoever or apologies. Had I known this would happen, I would have called someone else...but was afraid we wouldn't get someone here today. The only reason I give them a 2 is because the technician was so nice and friendly.

Had a technician out to clean our main line, which took a few hours. The two men who came were very professional, well spoken, explained everything in detail, let me look at the camera footage as they were sending it through, and told me about the possibility of having a patch put in our broken line. A pipe burst in our home during a stretch of cold days and damaged one of our ceilings. Many people in our area needed plumbing assistance due to the weather, so we had a difficult time finding a company that would be able to help us on the same day - one company said it would take at least two weeks, another was able to schedule someone for the next day (that company's customer support also mentioned that there was no way we'd be able to find plumbers who would be able to come that day due to the activity in the area). We called Waterworks at about 9:30am, and a technician was able to come to our house by 10:30am. Our pipe was fixed and our water was running again by 11:30am.Later in the day we identified more damage caused by the weather, and Waterworks was able to schedule another visit for us first thing in the morning the next day, which resolved the additional damage. So - in less than 24 hours, Waterworks was able to schedule two visits to our home and completely resolve our issues. If we had gone with another company, we likely still wouldn't even have running water at the time I'm writing this review. We'll definitely contact Waterworks in the future when we have plumbing issues. Thanks!

WOW what a BAD experience!!!!I have a water heater problem so I called this company on 6/22/2018. they said the service called would cost $60.00. when the technician came to my home he said to diagnose the problem it will cost $98.00. He told me the vacuum switch is bad and there are no parts available in town. He found the correct switch out of town and it would cost me $1100 for him to go get it. I asked can I go and get it and he said no because they will only sell it to the plumbers. So I ordered the parts overnight from amazon and it cost me $50.00. I installed the switch myself and the water heater still wont work. so I called the company again and the same technician came to my home. I told him that I install the switch still water heater is not working. He said it will cost we $98.00 again to diagnose. I told them I already paid you once ,why you charging me again, he said he don't work for free. He walked away without reason.Next day I called another company and they fixed the issue for only $50.00I call The Water Works management 3 time and try to convince to get refund $98.00. They refused to refund money so I decided to express my experience on line. This company has a big name but they are lack professionalism and honesty. Just money motivated. They will take money without service.

Called for info and had our problems solved in less than 2 hours. Professional with all appropriate PPE and safety precautions. Cleared our drains and fixed a garbage disposal that had been incorrectly installed by a contractor. He had the needed part on hand and did efficient, effective work. Will call again if/when needed.

The service technician came with his supervisor who pretty much took control of our discussion. Then, when it was time for him to explain what was needed, we were repeatedly interrupted by incoming phone calls. Once the interruptions ended, we were able to communicate and the job was done satisfactorily.

The gentleman that came out, did a wonderful job. He was prompt in his arrival and he was very clear with what he was doing at each step and did a great job giving me options and quoting me pricing before he used any additional parts or labor. I am very happy with the work that he did. My family members use The Waterworks for plumbing and after my experience, I will continue to as well.

We recently replaced our clothes dryer because we thought it was going bad. Then our new dryer began having the same issues drying laundry. When a service person came to look the new dryer and clean the vent system, he pointed out the shoddy work on my dryer vent system by Waterworks.Waterworks installed a new wall water heater in our home in 2017. Waterworks used several feet of foil venting to reroute the dryer vent system. (Every dryer has a warning not to use foil venting.) Waterworks also adding so many angles and turns to the foil that it makes cleaning the venting system impossible. They've also they have created a fire hazard in our home. When I called Waterworks about the issue, their customer service rep told me I would be responsible for any service calls made to my home to review their work. When I complained about the charge she spoke with her supervisor and then came back and said if they send out a service person I would be responsible for any repairs that are required.Additionally, I asked to speak with the owner or the supervisor. Not sure it the owner was there but the supervisor refused to come to the phone.Terrible customer service.I'm not done with this issue!

I have 40-year-old plumbing that was next to impossible to reach because of the way the support beams enclosed the plumbing. Using creativity and intelligence the Waterworks team resolved the issue. Even though it took longer than I think they expected, they stood by their estimate. I highly recommend them.

I'm opening up a nail salon and it's been hard finding a licensed plumber that deals pedicure chairs and making time. When I called the waterworks the receptionist was polite and answered all of my questions. The plumber was available immediately and came out to quote me for free. They got the work I needed done within a few hour, same day. The price was very reasonable. Ryan and the 2 other plumbers that assisted him were OUTSTANDING! The company also has plumbers that work 2nd shift which really worked out for me because I don't get off work until 6:30. I will definitely be using the waterworks plumbers when needed.

When he called with initial eta he warned me that he may not get to us until 2 am because we were 4th in line. He got there just before 8 pm. He had me and dad laughing the whole time. Requested an estimate on a job and I took a day off to be available. I was given times but tech could not make it due to meetings at those times and came, I think, the next day. Left me a per hour summary in writing and I could have gotten that from the office- what they charge per hour not the number of hours associated with the job.. Gave me a verbal quote and we went with it. Tech did a good job in two visits and I have no problems with the quality of work. Final bill was three times the verbal estimate. Not happy but paid it as it was only $5.00 more than a competitor's estimate I had gotten. A little frustrated I waited a week and spoke to a VP about the execution/cost of the service. He was responsive and said they would mail $100 voucher for work in the future. That was about a month ago- no voucher. Hmmmmm

Called Waterworks due to a main sewer line clog. Service was prompt. Problem was fixed professionally. Technician not very friendly but forgivable as he did effectively remedy the problem - my son had been flushing supposedly flushable wipes and they had accumulated in the line. We have since stopped using. Said WW would not guarantee the work if they did not also view the line with a camera, with me paying the hourly rate for the work. I agreed to the camera work as I wanted the work on my main line to have a guarantee. He then told me that due to the age of my line and it's condition he would not guarantee work and documented this on the work order. He said I should consider replacing main line. I asked for a copy of the camera recording so I could consult with a colleague who has extensive experience managing city sewer lines. He said no problem but I never received the video recording. So although the problem was fixed I paid extra time for essentially nothing. I told my colleague exactly what I had seen in the live review of the sewage line with the tech and he said that essentially the tech's assessment was inaccurate and the camera use is essentially a tactic to convince homeowners to make a high-value repair when it's not necessary. I have used WW twice as they are close and make prompt emergency calls but I think this experience has convinced me to look elsewhere.

My roommate's sump pump quit working Monday the 15th. We found that out about 630 pm. She has an account with The Waterworks. She called and spoke with Lindsey. Lindsey was great. She quoted a price and said the Techs are on overtime and was that alright. She said the Tech would be there in 30 minutes. It was almost to the minute that Mick arrived. We went down to the basement and he spelled out exactly what needed to be fixed and the cost. Mick was very personable and funny. He had the job done in about 30 minutes. He double check everything. We would highly recommend The Waterworks. Their Techs are awesome and Customer Service is awesome also. Great job!

Stating the facts:1. They were able to get to my home to fix my garbage disposal within an hour - which was awesome.2. They could not tell me the price on the phone for the replacement - they said it was by the job and there were a few variables to determine price.3. They charged $215 plus $35 service fee for 30 minutes of work.Had they quoted me the price when I called to schedule the appointment, I would not have used this service as others charge half that amount. Fast service, good service, expensive prices.

Had a weekend emergency with a small gas line leak. Columbis Gas shut off my gas - I called Waterworks to fix the problem. The dispatcher claimed they could fix the leak and also bond the flexible gas line after double checking with the oncall tech (bonding was required to turn gas back on according to Columbia Gas) Tech that came out claimed he couldn't do the scope of the work because of the tight space and also wouldn't do the bonding, even though he admitted being the tech the dispatcher spoke with. offered to do a cheap patch job, and also claimed maybe a younger and stronger guy could do it. Said they would have to come back on Monday, I would have to hire my own electrician and he wanted to charge me $250 on the spot for fixing nothing!!! I refused, he brought it down to $100. My family remained without heat and hot water for 3 days. Then when the next tech came out, he promptly fixed the problem. I still paid an additional $400 but he did give me a $25 credit for my troubles. I feel like I deserved more than that!! I also incurred and additional $215 charge for having to hire an electrician to bond the line. So needless to say, I will never be calling you back and as you know everyone loves to tell others about bad experiences and I'll be happy to share mine.

Called Waterworks at the recommendation of a pool servicing company in Granville. When I called to schedule the service call with Waterworks I explained in full detail that our return line to the pool has a clog in it, that I would need a service technician with pool experience. On the day of the appointment I received a phone call in the morning asking if it would be ok for the technician to come earlier rather than later, there was a technician that lived near by. I said as long as he has pool experience, that without that it would be a wasted trip for him. Long story short, he had no pool experience and the clog is so much worse there is no water going through the return lines. While I appreciate his efforts I spent $300 to make the situation worse! Not happy!

I have used The Waterworks for years since tree roots invading underground pipes are a regular problem here. Their technician, Mike, has always provided excellent and knowledgeable service on an established schedule. He recently used a camera to search for possible blockages in all outside lines, and dug a trench and cut out and replaced a section of pipe that had failed over the years. In my experience, a company is only as good as the people it hires and this has certainly been the reason why I am a loyal Waterworks customer.

Not real happy I spent 260.00 on my bathroom leak last November and about 2 weeks ago the same leak started again. I called the company and they told me there was a 90 day warranty on the repairs so I would have to pay again for them to come out to look at it. I don’t think after 5 months my bath tub should be leaking again. I will find someone to come fix it right where I don’t have to worry about this leak.

I had a plumbing issue where water was leaking into my basement from the kitchen. The kitchen faucet lost its seals and the basket in the sink lost its seal, so it was leaking from two places. I called a plumber from the Blue Pages because I am a Christian. That plumber did not show up. I called Water Works and they came out the very next day. The worker was pleasant and professional and knowledgeable. He replaced the faucet, the basket of the sink and I asked him also to switch out my master bath toilet. We had a brand new water efficient toilet in the garage for 2 years, unopened. The work was well done, in a timely manner and at a very reasonable price. I recommend them to everyone.

Should have realized there would be poor service when it took them 2 weeks to call me back for an estimate appointment. The day of the appointment the scheduler called and tried to change days. Finally he said ok, we’ll be there. As soon as the estimator walked in and asked what we wanted he said “we don’t do that” and left, even though they had everything we wanted when we set the appointment. Must have had a more profitable estimate to get to. Will never bother them for an estimate or anything else again.

I came home from a weekend away to several inches of water in the basement but couldn't tell if it was the storm sewer backing up or my sump pump gone dead. It was both. WW sent a hybrid tech who could do both, Chris A. He definitely knew what he was doing and he even showed up early! And he also discovered that the cast iron stack in my old house was cracked and rusted through in some places, and leaking. He took care of the sewer, sump pump first day and came back another to replace the cracked part of the stack and plumbing to the washer. Did great work. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because it was extremely expensive in my mind, but when you are in an emergency situation you have to bite the bullet I guess.

I called about four different plumbing companies and was told by one place that they would come out between one to four hours, and another place said they would call, only to be called later by both and told they could not make it. Evan from your company called me about midnight to say he would be out within two hours but actually made it sooner. He was such a personable young man and did a wonderful job. The young man who came out twice to conduct test with the camera and smoke to examine the pipes, water lines, and stacks did a great job. He reviewed the videos with me in detail. One of my two stacks needs to be replaced; however, it would only resolve some of my problems he could not resolve other issues, but would do further research. He telephoned the office to speak with the person who was to telephone me to come out and provide a written estimate of the work to be done. After 2 weeks and not hearing from Waterworks, I telephoned the office to ask if I would still receive a written estimate. I was told someone would contact me to arrange to come to my home. No one phoned to make those arrangements. I will eventually start all over and contact another plumbing company to hopefully work on resolving my plumbing issues and receive a written estimate.

I asked WW to install a single simple 3/4” shut-off valve on an exposed and fully accessible waterline in my basement utility room. I sent them photos of the area and pipe before they arrived to do the work. The valve was to be installed 4’-0” off the floor. No ladder needed. It took the technician and an apprentice (why two people were needed is beyond any reason) a full 15 minutes from the time they arrived until they departed my home. They had the audacity to charge me a 1-hour minimum charge of $232 for that little bit of work. Said that was their policy. UNBELIEVABLE!!! I recommend you use Staats Plumbing for any work as they are much more professional and reasonable with their pricing.

I will definitely be calling waterworks (comfortworks) again for any issues I have! My thermostat went blank and I just called the first company that came up on google. Unfortunately, not every technician is an honest person. I was scammed by another company into almost buying an entire new air handler, and Jason came from Comfortworks and all that needed to be done was reconnect a wire that a previous technician (from different company) failed to connect when inspecting my system and therefore told me my blower motor had failed and I should just replace the entire air handler for $4800. Thank you for being an honest company!

I had an excellent experience with The Waterworks. We needed to replace 2 hot water heaters. The day after my call, Mick was at my house around 9am. We were thinking we'd go with a tankless system. Mick did a thorough evaluation of our needs and expectations and a review of the current venting and water lines and recomended two new tanks in lieu of a tankless system which would have taken two tankless units and additional venting and greater expense. After much discussion we agreed. The 2 tanks were installed by 7pm. He kept me posted every step of the process. The Waterworks was not the lowest quote I had, but no other plumber took the time up front to evaluate the situation and discuss the pros and cons with me. No one said I would probably need 2 tankless units to be satisfied in times of high water usage. No one discussed the importance of venting with a tankless system. I think the extra money was well spent.

I was very very happy that the men showed up at my house on time, were very professional courteous did a great job, they unclogged my main drain line, they showed up even though it was on a day when we had emergency snow going on, I was very happy when they left, as we had been unable to use the toilet or any of the sinks or bathtub, it was a wonderful experience with the people who helped me I greatly appreciate them thank you thank you thank you!

I've called other plumbers to resolve a leaking toilet problem. it wasn't until I called The Waterworks did I actually get the problem fixed. They were friendly and knowledgeable about the problem. Also, since the problem needed to be resolved in a non-plumbing way, they didn't charge for coming out and looking at it. I will not hesitate to contact them in the future for any plumbing that needs to be done.

In response to Water Works from the last review. I still have not received a call back from a manager. Also yes, there is a discrepancy- the date was NOT SATURDAY. It was Sunday. I also did call into the office VERY UPSET that no one could offer any help. I simply told her she offered zero solutions for me and zero help- where was I wrong in stating those facts??? The fact that she has been there for 17 years means absolutely NOTHING to me. What is the point in having reps there if they cannot offer any solution?? I also stated that it was NOT my choice to use your company, because trust me I will tell everyone I know to never call on Water Works. I called because there was a water leak, which your tech did not fix. I don't know what he checked on the water meter however if you see puddles would you not be checking and diagnosing a problem??? They are SUPPOSED to be trained technicians and he simply came out and said lets do an experiment. I could have done that myself. I can guarantee if water was pouring out onto your personal belongings after a Water Works employee was completely negligent you would be extremely upset. It's funny that no one will call me back and handle the problem. You will only hide behind a computer and force me to speak through review. I could have handled this in private with a manager. You obviously do not stand by your work and take advantage of people. Talking to a third party and someone who was NOT ON SITE, did not meet Mick, or see the work that was NOT done is not someone who should speak on my behalf. The maintenance manager is obviously clueless as well. Your company is a complete disgrace and does not care about its reputation. Everyone is in business to make money however when you show ZERO morals or values it will never be a reputable business. I would highly advise anyone to work with a company who will stand behind their work and not deny, lie, and avoid a problem. Mistakes happen, but when you have multiple issues and no one can stand up to a problem that says a lot about your leadership and lack of company values and customer service. I told Mick multiple times when he was there to check the hot water tank. It was obvious very hot water was leaking everywhere and he did NOTHING and left me in a worse situation than I was before he came.

I had used Waterworks in the past to do some general plumbing repairs and was happy with the quality of the work. While not the cheapest (far from it) I found the work to be good. This instance was completely different! When my hot water heater broke, I called Water Works to install a new one.The technician came to my house and presented my options, I landed on a $1800 power vented water heater, which was not the lowest priced quote I recieved, but felt my past experience would be an indication of the quality this time around. When the tech showed up the next day, he informed me that he forgot that they would have to have to run an electric line to the new heater. How do you forget something like this?He said, they could run an extension cord to the unit and he assured me (after calling his boss) that it would be fine and pass inspection. When the inspector showed up he promptly failed the unit based on the poor electrical wiring. When I informed WW the unit had failed, their solution was to have me pay for an electrician to properly wire the unit and they would cover the re-inspection fee. An electrican will cost at least $300+.I assure you I will never do business with Waterworks again and encourage anyone considering their expensive services to think twice and have the work done by a real professional organization.

The main water line running into my house broke. I had a sump pump that ran non-stop and no water pressure. My neighbor recommended The Waterworks.A gentleman came to my house. He looked at the massive hole I dug to reveal the problem, asked where the water shut -off valve was, and scribbled something down on his clip-board. Then, he left.I NEVER HEARD ANYTHING BACK FROM THE WATERWORKS. NOTHING. I didn't hear, 'we don't want the job', or 'we are very backed up at this time'. . no further communication at all. They left me in a bad spot because I waited on them for 2 days. Two days with almost no water. Not enough pressure to take a bath or shower. The whole thing was insulting and disappointing.I did have the problem fixed. . by another company. I won't call The Waterworks again.

The WaterWorks Team completely dropped the ball on my house to WaterMain leak issue. They scheduled a repair plan with me then sent out the wrong group of plumbing repair experts. The then scheduled and estimator to come out (the next day at the end of the day) and he told me it was going to be $4,400. The average in the market is between $2,500 and $3,000.I lost there days of repair tine waiting in them to get me an answer and come up with a plan that is not responsive to my needs and is financially unrealistic. Seriously disappointed and I have changed my post to reflect that.

Waited over a week to get a call back to set an appt. Then they wanted to meet to walk through in person to give a formal estimate on a project and didn't show up for the appt day. Over a week later they still haven't responded to voicemail messages or provided any information. I thought going with a larger (and likely more expensive) company would have streamlined it and been more efficient but it appears they aren't well coordinated.

Mick P. came out to my home yesterday and this was the picture AFTER he had left and said he could not find the problem. My complex's maintenance man had come and was able to find 3 different problem areas and even wrote them in pencil on the wall above the pipes. HE COMPLETELY DISREGARDING THIS. His attitude was terrible and he was rude from the beginning. Water was everywhere and seeping out of the utility closet and the garage and he did zero investigation. He then proceeded to say I cannot find any leaks, so lets do an experiment to see if it happens again overnight. He also said it was probably only condensation and it was VERY OBVIOUS that condensation was not the problem. Condensation does not cause fast moving water to flow out of everywhere. I voiced to him that doing an experiment with my things was not acceptable and that I did not want to experiment to see if it floods again! I just simply wanted him to investigate and try to make sure it didn't flood again. He spent about 10 minutes total and obviously did no investigating. He refused to do any work and said he could not fix what was not broken. The water was not spraying out at that moment but had been previously which is why everything was flooded. The pressure release valve was bad and had caused the pipe to blow off and being a PLUMBER he did not even notice that this piece was missing. I only noticed because I was down there trying to clean up water and wait for my complex's maintenance to come back and got burned by scalding hot water spraying at me suddenly. This is completely unacceptable. This is not the first negative experience I have had with Water Works. In May I also had a technician come out and say leaks were fixed and not a single thing was done. I had to call emergency maintenance at midnight because there were puddles. I would NEVER use them. My complex uses them- not my choice. When I called into customer service they offer zero help and just say they have to pass off a complaint. No one holds anyone accountable and they show absolutely NO empathy that their company has not done their job. I still have not received a call from Brad, Mick's manager. They are not reputable and they hire lazy people that do not want to get the job done. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND STAY FAR AWAY!!! Customer service does not actually offer a solution they just say they will pass it off and cannot give a name of who will handle it.

Your tech, Dan knight was very professional, polite, on time, and explained in detail the required repair along with an estimate of the cost. The only reason for the 4star is that the part installed was a universal replacement part which did not work as the original. He ordered the correct part from Kohler and followed up and completed the job to our satisfaction

The provider called before coming and was at the house by 9am on a Friday. I had originally asked them to snake drains in both the master and guest bathrooms, but after investigating, they stated that the drains in the guest bathroom were running fine. They didn't want to charge me for work that needed to be done. They were very professional and quick. The cost was less than I expected because they only worked in the one bathroom. I would hire this provider again for plumbing needs.

This company was very quick to come out and look at my water heaters when we were not getting hot water and noticed an error indicator light was on. We have a tandom Gas and Electric system like many newer MI Homes. The worker was very polite and couteous, and unfortunately not very knowledgeable in finding the problem to the water heater. My problem was mis-diagnosed and an $800 repair was performed on assurances this would fix the problem and did not need to replace both tanks. The part was installeda few days later and immediately the same issues were noticed. After another call, the same technician suggested another $600 fix after talking me out of replacing the whole unit previously. Unhappy with the previous wrong diagnosis and lack of a qualified technicians, I would suggest going elsewhere in the future and did myself.

Had sump pump overflow out of a clean water drain that catches ac condensation. They insisted it was sewer and snaked my main line for no reason. Then I insisted the sump pump be replaced. The water had been going down by itself while they were here. They even notated that the main line was not clogged. Anyway, they replaced the check valve but left the old one in place, so now I have one and possibly a defective one in the sump outlet line still. Great. They do no resealing of radon system if you have one, FYI. All this for $845. UPDATE: 9 months later - the water was collecting in that center floor drain again. The excess kept the new sump pump running on a regular basis. Not good. Called a different plumbing company who found that in the center floor drain, which was NOT just clean catch, but a venting drain for my kitchen, laundry, and the condensate from my a/c = those all met at the floor drain, and then a line went straight to my main line. In the middle of THAT long line, my bathrooms' line was connecting to it in like a Y shape, with the bottom of the Y being to my main sewer line. Anyway, under the floor, there was a GIANT clog from 55 years and two previous owners and their families! It took the new company about 3 hours to snake the laundry/kitchen/a/c part of the line and then had to open the 4 cast iron line coming from the baths going to the main sewer line. They finally found it and with water and a 300 snake, they busted loose the clog and sent it flying. We also had open the main clean out in the other part of the basement, and saw it pass by. They were here working on that, and also snaked my bath sink past the bathtub drain and down the copper line coming out of the bottom of one bathroom. They took a bunch of hair out of there, AND replaced the U joint under the bath sink to the wall. ALL for $205!!! They also used a camera to go through the pipes under my basement floor and explained how everything tied together, for free! Never having owned a 1962 house, this was a learning experience. They did also camera out the main sewer line outside of the house from the main cleanout, and determined that a few feet out, about a 2' section was collapsed on the bottom side (clay). I received an estimate and took their 0% financing, as I didn't want to drain my savings. I realize they made some money there. However, today they came and very cleanly dug up a section of my yard and replaced the damaged section with new clay which is stronger than the rest of it. Thankfully, the rest of my main sewer line, (i have a LONG yard) is fine. They did a very clean job hand shoveling off frozen soil to expose gutter drain pipe that was above the 9' deep sewer line, cut through the drain line, and reconnected it after making the repair. They warranted ALL for FIVE years. The center drain well, where the a/c, kitchen, and laundry drain lines meet, and then runs to the main line - I have NEVER seen the standing water level in it so low. The sump pump is silent. The guys also said it was suspicious that Water Works declared the main line (out of the house) unclogged and yet did nothing for the clog that was obviously under the floor at the meeting of the Y stems. I also had to badger WW into replacing the sump pump, noting on my receipt that the old one, rusted and disgusting, was not dead, as if I were going to file some claim. (I did not, have not, and will not file with my homeowners insurance.) I am glad my problem was fixed. I am astoundingly disgusted that I paid $845 9 months ago for essentially nothing but a new sump pump! The new guys also said not taking the old check valve out of the horizontal line was wrong and lazy; the WW guy just didn't want to patch the old sump line. Never, ever again. I found my new company! You deserve NO stars.

Well, the first time we had Waterworks out in July of 2012 for a backed up kichen and floor laundry drain I was very pleased with the service. The service tech cleared both drain and installed new strainers in both sides of my kitchen sink. $225.00 parts and labor. This seemed very reasonable. The problem is that less than a year later they had to return for the kitchen sink backing up again and they said it was out of warranty (only 90 days). This time they charged $225.00 for just snaking the kitchen drain. Within 2 months the kitchen and floor drain was backing up again. This 3rd time it was snaked free of charge b/c it fell within warranty. Then 8 months later which was 2 weeks ago both drains are backing up again (4th time) to the tune of $278.00. Within 2 days the drains are running slow and gurgling again. I haven't called back yet for for another service call because I am so angry and I'll have to miss more time from work. This company seems to send incompetant service techs who just take your money and never resolve the problem or offer a solution. My husband and I are very conscientous about not putting anything down our drains and have had screens in them for the last several years. We don't even have a garbage disposal to cause back ups.

This was the worst company I’ve ever dealt with. We left a key for them with specific instructions and I guess this day their tech didn’t feel like working. They blew us off by claiming they couldn’t find our key, and won’t reschedule for several more days. DO NOT USE THEM unless you want to be on the phone all day going in circles with their dumb customer service reps and unable to use your water for days on end. Great first impression!

Called because we were pretty certain we had a frozen water line and feared it would break.. Service was prompt but the technician didn't know what to do .He seemed very unsure. He wanted to replace the parts in the faucet which was quite expensive to see if that was the problem. We declined and he called in a second technician who agreed that it was a frozen line. After more than 3 hours and 3 service techs, they determined that if couldn't be deiced without tearing out the kitchen ceiling. We declined. Although the men were very polite, we were charged overtime for 2 techs. They left and we had a hole in our bathroom wall from the attempt to find the pipe and we still had a frozen pipe. It seems that if the first tech had to call in a second one, that was the company's problem , not ours, but we ended up with a huge bill for 2 techs and basically an unresolved plumbing problem.

If I could give 0 I would. Terrible customer service from the office staff.I had a technician come out to replace a main drain and he cut through the outside wall and damage the siding. My calls were first ignored. After numerous attempts to obtain their insurance information and countless phone calls to upper management I was able to obtain the insurance information. That only took 2 months! If you are going to have this company completed work for you it would be a good idea to obtain a csrticertif of insurance. This will help you from being completely treated unfairly. In my opinion if you use this company be prepared to pay higher prices for labor just to have less than good quality work completed. You are simply funding their advertisement at nationwide arena and theot branded trucks. I would suggest using Jack Woods or a smaller company anywhere on the Northside.

Not a great experience. Initial service call scheduled between 10am - 2pm and serviceman arrived at 2:20pm. The shower in our master bath would not completely shut off and what I thought might be a simple repair turned into a service fee of $113 with no resolution other than the need to order parts for a shower system that was not a local, name brand system. Was told that parts could take up to two weeks to be received. After waiting two weeks I called and was told the service man needed to talk with me before placing the order and that he would call me back, that afternoon, as soon as he finished his current assignment (a Thursday afternoon). Monday arrived and still no call back at which point I called the service number again. Apologies for lack of follow-up resulted in me being referred to local plumbing supply stores where I could order a complete new shower system. Angie's List touts The Waterworks as one of the best.....certainly not my experience. at all.

Had plumber from water works come to fix a drain backing up into bathroom sink. He put a snake down drain line didn't pull anything out but put hose down saying it was now clear ok so when we hook everything backup and attempt to use sink the drain again backs up...clogged. Just like it was when we called. Seemed like drain was flowing again but seems to be that since we have not been using the drain because of issue the water wasn't as high. In pipe but when try to use the sink as regular use it backed up / clogged again. To have them come back out because it was later when we figured out problem was still occurring they threatened an additional $200.00 fee. Now mind you the plumber was only at our house maybe 15 minutes if that but the fee was just over $300 bucks. So they threatened additional fee because it's now evening and if we want them to come back out to fix problem they said was fixed today because of the time that we figured out dude never fixed drain We are penalized cause we have the audacity to ask them to come back out today they say it will be a $200.00 fee if we come out and it's not the same issue...but because we have been duped a few times before we are now waiting til Monday because they would figure out way to make sure it was a different issue on top off issue they supposedly fixed but didn't. Considering they said the issue we had was already fixed and already charged us over $300 dollars for not even 15 minutes work I have no doubt in my mind they would say it was a different issue and add on $200.00 fee for making them come back out and then on top of that charge another $300.00 cause they had to maybe do 20 minutes instead of 15 minutes they charged $300 dollars for eArlier. Plumbers and electricians man it's a racket. Heck with illegal stuff they rip you off legally.

Our hot water heater quit working over a weekend. We called Waterworks and they sent out a tech, who as soon as he walked in the door said it would probably require replacing the entire hot water heater, and that would cost up to $1,100. Called Waterworks and described exact what I needed. One was a non-working disposal. We had a crack in our Moen Gravity Faucet retractable hose and needed a new hose. Moen makes LITERALLY only one retractable hose for the kind of kitchen sink we have. Tech showed up without the part. Stated as IMMEDIATE statement oh yeah we don't carry that part in our trucks. Complained how hard it is to get the part (I ordered it while he was complaining on Amazon to arrive within 24 hrs). Fixed the disposal (which was one turn of a wrench) and then charged $160. He then called the CreditCard in, which took longer than the actual repair. Complained to customer service. They didn't care. Will never use them again. We lived in 6 different cities, have owned 6 different houses and have used dozens of contractors. Worst company ever. -- Part 2 to worst company ever - got a call from Customer Service Manager Beverly who for 15 minutes explained to me how I was wrong, never apologized and then sent a flip email response.

I had a new hot water heater put in about a year ago. the price was quite high but our old heater had gone out.. there service was quick and fast but quite expensive.A little over a year later I wanted to check the anode ( combo anode attached to the hot water outlet) and noticed that the entire system was soudered in so the lines would have to ve cut. There should have been couplings in the tubing to remove the anode. I contacted Waterworks and they charged me a nominal fee. It should have been done for free but I agred to pay it and the workmanship was fine.

My wife called to have our back flow checked (without my knowledge) she called THE WATERWORKS and the tech at THE WATERWORKS told my wife it was bad and needed to be replaced at a cost of $400.00. I own a business in the Grove City area and have for over 40 years. We also repair irrigation and have for many years but we do not test. In this case my company replaced the back flow last year and was surprised to find out it was bad so I had it tested with someone locally and SURPRISE#1 it was functioning properly. I called 3 times to get another test and 3 times I was told someone would call me back and SURPRISE #2 no call back. Called today and the person I spoke to said it was reviewed and SURPRISE #3 there would be no return inspection, call back or refund. Not that it probably means anything to THE WATERWORKS but our business provides services to over 2000 customers in the Grove City area alone. So I say to THE WATERWORKS please let us know if we can do anything for you in the future. We would love the opportunity to share our experience with others. Thanks for the great service.

We used Waterworks to fix an outdoor spigot and install a shutoff valve for the winter to keep the pipe from bursting. The pipe stopped leaking for the Summer and we turned off the valve for the winter. We turned it back on in the Spring and it was burst again. I called to see if getting it repaired again was covered and was informed that there was only a 90 day warranty. I understand that things break and the warrantly was only 90 days, but its kind of impossible to know if the work was done right without going through winter and using the valve which is way beyond 90 days. Anyway, we feel like we basically threw money away on this one. We'll be contacting a different plumber this time around.

Just had a toilet unclogged by them. They also fixed the flange correctly. Texh was very professional. The only reason for the lower rating is the price. This a rental property and have had roto rooter come out on other properties and was a lot less expensive. I paid almost 500.00 to clear a toilet drain and attach a flange. Was about half with others. However they did make it out there.

Was a long term, loyal customer and found out they have been price gauging me! Poor experience with a job in July and they tried to raise the price 4X from what was anticipated price after they knew I took off work to be home. Would give even fewer stars if possible. Do not buy their residential service without calling around.

We would never use these people again! A simple job of changing the water filters and a sink cartridge became an ordeal. BUT the real creepy thing is that they wanted my credit card number, before the job was finished--this is a real heads up. More than a week of leaking faucet they call and say the part is in, and yes want my credit card number before they come out... sent them a check for the half done work and cut my losses.

I had a gas lead in the house with numerous problems listed before the gas company would turn the gas back on. When I called they booked me for an appt. the next day between noon and 4. I called at 2:30 because I wanted to check the arrival time and needed to get back to work by 4. Shawn showed up at 3 and apologized for the delay - it sounded as if he was not the person who was to arrive, but they sent him when they knew I was in a hurry. Shawn explained that one of the items on the list (which would cost me an extra $117!) should not result in them keeping my gas off; however, if I had a home inspection I could be fined. I told him my financial concerns and asked what the odds were that I wouldn't have my gas turned back on if it wasn't fixed. He wasn't sure, but and gave me words to use if they asked why it wasn't corrected. About 5 minutes later he walked back in the house with the $117 piece and said I found some 'scrap metal', so don't worry about the fee. I was near tears... as I know he was simply doing it out of the kindness of his heart. He said it was because they were so late in getting there. He had all the repairs done within an hour for $590. I don't know if it was a reasonable fee or not, but knowing that he saved me for the metal, I'll be eternally gratefull! Shawn is a definite asset to this company!

Timely response, but expensive. I've been having a few issues at a rental property lately, most of which they fixed. Most recently, however, I was charged $200 for the plumber to come out and tell me that my broken valve stem is old, corroded and will not budge. This much I knew from trying to remove it myself - but I guess you're paying for the expert opinion. Now I'm out $200 and the problem still very much exists. This poses a great question... what's the motivation to do a great job when you'll get paid just for trying?? BTW... I was told the $200 charge was because the plumber had to access his tools to diagnose the problem. As opposed to what, just staring at it to figure out what is going on?In a pinch I might use Waterworks again, but not if I can help it.

In March 2017 we had two technicians come out because our floor drain was overflowing and our outdated sump pump was not operating correctly. The technicians snaked our main sewer line and said it was cleared., reluctantly put in a new sump pump and that was that. During the course of the year we fixed a broken downspout drain pipe which was our sump pump issue. About a week ago our floor drain started overflowing again. Had another plumbing company come out , they found a clog under the basement which was massive and was the problem all along. During the inspection they also found that the sewer line was not only clear and didn't have any water in it, but broken as well. How Waterworks couldn't tell they were snaking something with no water in it and was broken is beyond me!

I asked the person on the phone what the charge was to have a plumber come out and she said no charge unless you want him to do the work -- he came and wanted $ 200 to change a clamp on my sump pump.I understand that plumbing is expensive (and you're paying for expertise, not just time or parts), but I told him I'd prefer not to use him.He then said he would do it for $ 150.He then wanted to argue with me and tell me what's in it for me?, which made no sense. He stood in my hallway arguing with me. I told him look if your company told me that there was a fee to have you come out, I would gladly pay you - but, the woman on the phone was very clear with me that I don't pay you unless I want you to do the work -- he continued to argue with me...and (confusedly) told him I'm pretty sure that's how business works - you state your fee and someone agrees to it -- he kept saying, great, now I wasted 45 minutes coming over here, whats in it for me? -- very weird.I'm sure I'll end up paying a lot to fix my sump pump and I'll gladly do so with a reputable company - the money wasn't the issue, it's the principle.

I have used this company once before about 6 months ago and the service was great. This time around, not so much.I originally scheduled my appointment for Friday October 23rd with an arrival time of 8am to 12pm. The receptionist advised me to check out their website for a coupon. On the day of the appointment no one showed up. I called at 12:10pm to check the status and was advised the tech was running late. I had another appointment that day at 1:30pm somewhere else so I could not wait for the technician to arrive. I rescheduled for November 6th(today) the technician arrived and said they would have to complete a smoke test to see where the Oder was coming from. I said okay and will call to schedule this test after the holidays. I presented my coupon to the technician and was advised I could not use it for a service call. Although the coupon was specifically for a service call it was not honored. The technician was polite and courtesy he wore his mask and did everything well, however I take pride in honesty and integrity and I do not feel this was handled correctly. I will probably have the work completed elsewhere due to the dishonesty.

I called to see how much it runs for a technician to come out and give an estimate. Their phone rep stated they don't give out their prices and transferred me to a manager. She also said if a technician comes out and doesn't fix anything, you wouldn't be charged. To which I replied, so your service call is free then? Manager's response, no not exactly. I hung up. VERY SHADY AND SKETCHY BUSINESS. It is abnormal to not even give out your service call rate.

Our sump quit working 12/24/15. We called them out urgently as we were going out of town 12/26. They sent out a dufus who put in a new sump but could not get the lid on. All for $2200. We could hear the sump from our bedroom and it seemed to run all the time. We called the dufus back out and he said it was working fine. He could not explain why it was running all the time and loud. Fortunately, the Basement Guy, found a leak in the pipe, put in a quieter high capacity sump, closed the lid for $600 and we are sleeping soundly again. Do not use these rip-off artists.

These guys are far from being real plumbers...they send kids to do a real mans job and we had to call them back 3 times to fix their own mistakes....they perform work that is not up to code - last year they did a job for us, but it was paid for by the city of Columbus here in Ohio. The city approved us for a back water valve and they footed the bill paid directly to the contractor - in this case it was The Waterworks plumbing company. My guess would be about $ 10,000 worth of work all paid for by the city of Columbus due to a sewage back up in the main city sewer line that runs behind our house - the pressure was so strong from this back up that it lifted our basement toilet right up off its foundation and flooded our basement with 8 inches of raw sewage from one end of the house to the other - ruined antiques and other valuable stuff too. Now, heres the real problem....today I called them to let them know that the city sewer dept. came out to my house today to help me figure out where the raw sewage smell that we had been smelling lately was coming from -as we have been smelling it for a few weeks now and couldn't figure out where it was coming from...turns out that The waterworks plumbing company installed a vent tube for the plumbing lines that vents right into our basement instead of venting it through the roof of the house like it is supposed to and also for it to be deemed up to code. Well, to make a long story short - the CSR that I spoke with on the phone argued with me stating that she didn't show an invoice where they did any venting work on our house - and when I told her that I would take a pic of it and send it to her - she said that that wouldn't be necessary - but they would not come and fix the problem for free and we would have to pay for something that was not our fault in the first place - I'm thinking about calling the BBB and get them involved...and maybe even the media.....So if you're looking for an experienced plumber - don't call on the waterworks - get some old man that has been doing it for years - not some youngsters that don't know what they are doing.****UPDATE**** - And I just noticed that you only get a response from the owner if you give them a good review - I'm gonna get something done about this - they are gonna make this right...!!!
