When I really needed help and I had no idea what to do I called Plumbing and Drain Professionals... they talked me trough turning off the water and sent a plumber out to me faster than I expected. Same night my problem was no more. And they were nice enough to recommend a great company for the water removal. It's really is true... when you need a Professional don't settle for any less. The Waterworks Plumber
Had sump pump overflow out of a clean water drain that catches ac condensation. They insisted it was sewer and snaked my main line for no reason. Then I insisted the sump pump be replaced. The water had been going down by itself while they were here. They even notated that the main line was not clogged. Anyway, they replaced the check valve but left the old one in place, so now I have one and possibly a defective one in the sump outlet line still. Great. They do no resealing of radon system if you have one, FYI. All this for $845. UPDATE: 9 months later - the water was collecting in that center floor drain again. The excess kept the new sump pump running on a regular basis. Not good. Called a different plumbing company who found that in the center floor drain, which was NOT just clean catch, but a venting drain for my kitchen, laundry, and the condensate from my a/c = those all met at the floor drain, and then a line went straight to my main line. In the middle of THAT long line, my bathrooms' line was connecting to it in like a Y shape, with the bottom of the Y being to my main sewer line. Anyway, under the floor, there was a GIANT clog from 55 years and two previous owners and their families! It took the new company about 3 hours to snake the laundry/kitchen/a/c part of the line and then had to open the 4 cast iron line coming from the baths going to the main sewer line. They finally found it and with water and a 300 snake, they busted loose the clog and sent it flying. We also had open the main clean out in the other part of the basement, and saw it pass by. They were here working on that, and also snaked my bath sink past the bathtub drain and down the copper line coming out of the bottom of one bathroom. They took a bunch of hair out of there, AND replaced the U joint under the bath sink to the wall. ALL for $205!!! They also used a camera to go through the pipes under my basement floor and explained how everything tied together, for free! Never having owned a 1962 house, this was a learning experience. They did also camera out the main sewer line outside of the house from the main cleanout, and determined that a few feet out, about a 2' section was collapsed on the bottom side (clay). I received an estimate and took their 0% financing, as I didn't want to drain my savings. I realize they made some money there. However, today they came and very cleanly dug up a section of my yard and replaced the damaged section with new clay which is stronger than the rest of it. Thankfully, the rest of my main sewer line, (i have a LONG yard) is fine. They did a very clean job hand shoveling off frozen soil to expose gutter drain pipe that was above the 9' deep sewer line, cut through the drain line, and reconnected it after making the repair. They warranted ALL for FIVE years. The center drain well, where the a/c, kitchen, and laundry drain lines meet, and then runs to the main line - I have NEVER seen the standing water level in it so low. The sump pump is silent. The guys also said it was suspicious that Water Works declared the main line (out of the house) unclogged and yet did nothing for the clog that was obviously under the floor at the meeting of the Y stems. I also had to badger WW into replacing the sump pump, noting on my receipt that the old one, rusted and disgusting, was not dead, as if I were going to file some claim. (I did not, have not, and will not file with my homeowners insurance.) I am glad my problem was fixed. I am astoundingly disgusted that I paid $845 9 months ago for essentially nothing but a new sump pump! The new guys also said not taking the old check valve out of the horizontal line was wrong and lazy; the WW guy just didn't want to patch the old sump line. Never, ever again. I found my new company! You deserve NO stars.

DrainMaster, Inc Plumber
We had a hydro jet done and the workers at DrainMaster took their time to thoroughly clean out our sanitary line. They also identified issues with recent drain repairs that were completed with another company. We were then able to go back to the other company to have them remedy the situation. We will use DrainMaster again in the future.

Benjamin Franklin Plumbing of Columbus Plumber
Great, fast service, fair prices. I can not more highly recommend this business!
I've been meaning to leave this review for over a year, but better late than never! During a huge storm here in Columbus, when we later learned that thousands of people had sump pump failure and basement flooding, ours began to flood around 11 in the evening. When we contacted Benjamin Franklin, they were at our house in less than an hour, even though it was nearly midnight by that point. The gentleman turned out to be the owner, who had been working nonstop all evening and said he'd probably continue to work until the early hours of the AM. Still he was polite and professional, and worked quickly. He showed us what had failed and explained how he was replacing/repairing things, and then, he waved his after-hours fee without us even asking.
The next day, I noticed that when the sump pump finished each cycle, there was a hissing sound, and small amount of water escaping from the seal. I called, and they were again out very quickly and fixed it for no additional charge. We've yet to need a plumber again, but we will undoubtedly be calling them when the time comes.
