Came out to our house to provide an estimate of 3000 to hydrojet our clogged output line. Didnt even look at the access pipe. Rotorooter quoted 1400 and Gardner Plumbing came out, quoted, and water jetted our line in 40 minutes for 950 one hour after requesting estimate. Took videos of our sewer pipe and showed where the tree root clogs were.We were all fixed up in an hour. I question if Scheller Knochelman is a business you can trust. I have my doubts.The Schneller rep said it would take all day and promised he was being honest and up front. May God have mercy.

Update: I was called the morning after posting this review, and T&G corrected the issue. These reviews make a difference! I'm bumping up the rating by one star for them correcting the problem. I would rate better if not for the length of time it took to rectify, and that this public forum seemed to be what was necessary for to take for them to take action.Thomas and Galbraith installed a new coil and condenser unit for my HVAC system a couple of years ago. The condenser was installed noticeably leaning to one side. Other than that, I thought they did a reasonably good job on the rest of the work. The building inspector has contacted them several times to try correct the issue (get the condenser level) so he can close the permit. As of this writing a couple years later, they are still not in compliance. Are they waiting for litigation perhaps?

Great prompt service

I have an older home (1957), which I have owned for several years now, and lived in the home for over 10 years. I have always had an issue with water being present in my basement utility sink after running a load of dishes in the dishwasher, or after the laundry has been rinsed and is draining. Yesterday I found the water backed up in the utility sink, filling both sides and was no longer draining.

At first I tried my drill-powered 25ft snake, which works well for bathroom lines and small pluming, but is less than useful on a 2 pipe. After an hour or so of plunging, snaking drains and commercial plumbing products, I decided to contact the experts at Roto-Rooter.

I contacted Roto-Rooter's branch number for my area. I placed the call around 1:45 PM EST on Monday afternoon.

The call was answered quickly, and a technician was offered for the 2-4 PM EST time slot--perfect! I headed downstairs to my basement to do some initial cleanup for the technician and to make room for them to work. I then received a text message at 1:53 PM EST from Roto-Rooter indicating my technician, Nick, was on his way. I was blown away at how quick a technician was dispatched.

Nick showed up very quickly in a Roto-Rooter branded van. He appeared clean, well groomed and professional with his introduction. Nick asked me some basic questions, and then asked if he could enter the home to review the issue. Equipped with shoe covers (thank you!!!), Nick followed me through the front door, and down to the basement.

Nick answered all my initial questions on drainage, and just some curious things I had in mind, then informed me of the work, and the estimate. I accepted the estimate, and Nick asked if he could take his equipment (auger) through my garage (instead of through my living space, thanks again!). I offered assistance, but Nick managed his equipment through my living spaces with caution---he was no concern of mine.

Nick was in an out in just a little over an hour, and my drains were taking all the pressure I could afford them with ease. He made little to no mess, and was professional and confident throughout.

The Roto-Rooter six month guarantee that comes with the job has given me such peace of mind. I know that if I have an issue, Roto-Rooter will show up in a timely fashion, and absolutely resolve my issue in a professional and courteous manner. Tarvin Plumbing did my total kitchen renovation. From demolition to installation and everything in between, the job was done efficiently and with tremendous skill by friendly and courteous workers. The work was completed on time and exactly the way I wanted. I still use Tarvin (and have for over 25 years) for my plumbing needs and would not hesitate to have them do another renovation.

Contacted via Angi for repair/replace of water heater. Spoke with Eric Warner 3 times prior to him responding to my home for an estimate. At no point during those conversations did he mention a $129.00 Trip charge. No other contractor requested a charge for an estimate. If you contact or are contacted by American Rooter, be sure to enquire about a fee for an estimate. I will also be filing a complaint with the BBB and Angi.
