I would strongly recommend Schneller and Knochelmann Plumbing, Heating, and Air to family and friends. I have 3 properties and had them install New HVAC units in 2 of the 3 properties in the last 5 years. I unfortunately strayed and tried another local company for the 3 and much regret that decision today. They currently provide annual maintenance on all my units and the service technician they sent (Spencer Head) was professional, knowledgeable and timely. A great face to face representative for the company. Don’t look any further they will do it right and a reasonable cost!!

2020.11.24 Routine scheduled maintenance on two heating systems including air filters, humidifiers, and air scrubbers. Sadie was our tech today. Sadie was professional, courteous, respectful, thorough, and highly detailed in her work. She explained everything done and checked, was quite knowledgeable, and better - she was able to explain it all to me so I could understand both the tech info and the implications for our systems. I am 100% satisfied and confident in her work.Prior review: We had a problem with the thermostat not kicking in our A/C compressor. Eric was expert at diagnosing and fixing the problem, and had us back up and running in short order. Professional, highly skilled, nice to work with. I am 100% satisfied.

I'm stunned. I am used to getting cheated by big-name plumbers. Last one I called...needed the washers on my shower fixture replaced...plumber broke the fixture...company tried to charge me $1100 to fix what he broke.Schneller and Knochelmann...clogged drain line...turned out that the septic tank needed to be pumped out...their plumber couldn't help me. No charge! Seriously! I have found a plumber!!!

Alex was a great person to work with. He provided a lot of details, cleaned up after himself, worked hard, was on time & explained the works of the water heater. He also did a good job on the backed up toilet. Very much recommend him & his work.

Had the enviro pro water softner and conditioner installed for the tankless water heater I purchased from Schneller and Knochelmann about 2 months ago. I took advantage of S&K's winter promotion to purchase an A/C and receive a furnace at no charge. The quoting process was efficient and responsive (thanks John K.), and the price was unbeatable. On the day of installation, Mike G. and his tech called ahead and arrived at the time they indicated. Mike was very professional and friendly. Both wore masks and socially distanced. Mike explained all points of the installation and answered all my questions. There was a minor mix-up with the contract but Mike rectified it immediately. They protected the carpet and tile with runners. Installation was completed without issue and I'm delighted with the new high efficiency Rheem dual fuel system with electrostatic filter and air ionizer. Thanks Mike! S&K is my only HVAC service provider. I recommend them without hesitation.

After assessment by Schneller & Knochelmann the previous week, my furnace died. I was scheduled to get a new furnace and AC the following Wednesday. Because it completely stopped working, they came a day early. They were professional, wore booties and masks, and certainly knew what they were doing. The work was completed within 5-6 hours, and they didn't leave any signs they were there. I highly recommend them!

Schneller put in a full heating and AC unit. The AC had issues from the beginning, with several service calls each season. All calls and repairs were handled quickly and professionally, as was the installation.After the unit core began leaking, only two years after install, Schneller completely replaced the AC unit, even before Trane said they would cover a replacement.They stood behind their work completely.

Brad was pleasant, helpful, cleaned out the drain, fixed the pipe, gave me some general helpful hints. Also got an estimate on some other work we will be having done shortly. Price was quite reasonable. Very pleased with our experience.

Our AC went out and Rico Hill was able to come the day of, not even an hour after calling and was able to diagnose what he could that day and came back the next day and got us up and running ASAP! Performed diagnosis for $99 and determined the A/C compressor valves were blown and that it had come apart inside, most likely due to overheating as a result of a failure in the outside fan. Service tech noted metal was rattling inside the compressor and it would cost $3,500-$4,000 to replace, and was quick to schedule an appointment two days later to have a sales rep come talk to us about replacing our entire system. We opted for a second opinion from a Christian-owned and operated business referred to us. You can imagine our disgust to find out the compressor only had a bad capacitor and was otherwise in satisfactory working order, as is the outside fan. Total repair cost less than $200 and our A/C is working just fine.

They were there within 3 hours of requesting service. Had the problem fixed within an hour. Great communication throughout. Outstanding Customer service. You have a new customer! Thank you

Came out to our house to provide an estimate of 3000 to hydrojet our clogged output line. Didnt even look at the access pipe. Rotorooter quoted 1400 and Gardner Plumbing came out, quoted, and water jetted our line in 40 minutes for 950 one hour after requesting estimate. Took videos of our sewer pipe and showed where the tree root clogs were.We were all fixed up in an hour. I question if Scheller Knochelman is a business you can trust. I have my doubts.The Schneller rep said it would take all day and promised he was being honest and up front. May God have mercy.

Very impressed with the service provided and the technical knowledge displayed by Zach. This is a major investment so it was good to know the value of what we were receiving. An excellent crew came out to install our new system- friendly, on time, protected our floors, and just overall good service providers. Cleaned up after themselves and hauled everything away. Called the company to check out an issue with plumbing and get a quote to fix HVAC ducts. Both the plumbers and HVAC teams were very professional, friendly and informative with my plumbing issue fixes and a good quote to fix HVAC ducts. I then had a consultation with Joe the next day to replace my old HVAC system and he was very thorough checking the duct work, the units, the house and explaining everything. These guys are very professional and I would recommend them for any repairs. Their diagnostic fee is also competitive.

This was an annual plumbing check. Alex did a god review of sinks, toilet tanks and the plumbing around the water heater. He suggested keeping a watch on toilet tank flappers and considering a water softener to counteract the mineral levels in our water.

Our AC stopped working today and we called and were able to get somebody out same day to look at it. They got the problem fixed and it's the afternoon the AC went out and cold air is blowing. Service was great, fast, and super helpful!

I called because my water heater stopped working. Being somewhat handy, I was pretty sure I had diagnosed the problem (bad control valve) but I figured I would get some expert help to confirm and fix it. When Alex arrived I allowed him to diagnose the issue and he came to the same conclusion that I did. He was very professional and entertained all of my questions. He provided me with about 5 different options from repair to replacement, and one of the repair options included using a company that was not his own. I thought it was pretty exceptional that someone would give the name of other company as an option. Given I just wanted to get my unit repaired ASAP, I purchased the control valve and called the other company to replace it. If I decide to replace the unit at some point, I will definitely consider Schneller Knochelmann because of the treatment I received from Alex.

We have used Knochelmann for many years and we always request the services of Rick Hubbard. He is THE BEST! He is the ultimate professional. He is incredibly knowledgeable, efficient and kind. As a long time customer that has been enrolled into your preventive maintenance program for the last several years. I have routinely had your service techs out for preventive maintenance and inspection of HVAC units. Each call has been met with additional add ons recommendations to ensure the unit runs properly. On every occasion I have agreed to purchase whatever your trusted technicians have offered for the past few years. This afternoon I noticed condensation on my floor and quickly called. Service tech came out within the hour. The technician located the issue. (Clogged pipe) I was told a pipe trap was recommended for $291 dollars. I agreed and paid in full for the trap to be installed. A few years ago your company installed a brand new furnace and A/C into my home on Whirlaway, trap included. Apparently this is standard with all new units. My question is why wasn’t this option during my routine preventative maintenance ever offered if this is a standard option? I asked this question to field supervisor, He indicated your techs have a lot to check during preventative calls? It seems your technology would allow for a quick add for your service techs to have this as a recommendation on your normal checklists. Prior to this issue my last visit from your technicians was for preventable maintenance when I was told I needed 3lbs of freon. Keep in mind your technicians had serviced this unit in the past and never a mention of needing freon. I of course paid the additional services. The tech on-site today found the system to be working fine with no freon needed. Please pull my records and validate my complaint. You will find it aligns. It seems to me your company is no longer about the customer but more about what you can add on during routine visits with no accountability for it offering standard items such as a pipe trap. As a long time customer I have lost the trust in you and your technicians. I posted my review on Facebook and since has been deleted and I’ve been blocked from the site.Schneller has seen my last dollar.

S&K are extremely professional with very knowledgeable techs. Their prices are more than fair given the quality of their work.For this latest visit Sadie did an A/C tune-up. She arrived on time and performed the tune-up, giving us a step by step walk through of everything she did and the status of our system.Highly recommend Sadie and cannot day enough good things about Schneller & Knochekmann!

Schneller was able to fit me in the same day when I called about an air conditioner that had stopped working on a hot day. They were falling behind on appointments but called to give me a heads up, so that was fine. They found and fixed an electrical issue with the AC under warranty and were done in less than 30 mins, hard to complain about that.

She worked quickly and explained everything thoroughly after the furnace check up. She made some adjustments to the furnace to keep it working well. Schneller & Knochelmann replaced my HVAC/furnace/AC in early 2020 and Sadie was the tech that came out to do the maintenance check. She was professional and nice. She found an installation error that was causing CO levels to be higher than they should and resolved it quickly. She was very informative and answered any questions that I had.

We had Logan for our serviceman and we were extremely happy. He was polite, professional, explained things and answered all our concerns and questions.

Called to see if I could get someone to come out and repair my furnace.. Seeing it was a holiday I can understand being send to a call center however the person taking my info was rude and was not helpful at all. I was informed the on call technician will contact me shortly.. 12 hours later still no call and I ended up fixing my own furnace. Thank goodness for Google and YouTube. Definitely not referring them and will take my repairs or furnace maintenance elsewhere.

the techs came out on time per conversations I was given updates by text as to arrival info which was nice. techs were very polite and professional. very knowledgeable on installation. I am very pleased with their work.

Keep in mind the price will be very high, even for little replacement pieces that cost as low as 10$. They also tried to charge me for more refrigerant than they put into the unit. I do realize that you need to up charge to make a profit, but it comes to a point to where you can charge too much. Look elsewhere! I know I will for the future.

Great Service from Schneller & Knockelmann. Cody arrived COVID appropriate. He was very knowledgeable and courteous. He assessed the problem with our clogged drain. Our drain was clogged more than we imagined. He took care of the problem efficiently and with great expertise. It is unfortunate we needed a plumber but this was a great experience. I would recommend them.

Very friendly service but I thought the cost excessive for what amounted to less than an hour of work. $435 total to fix a slow-draining kitchen sink. It did take the 75' auger which is longer than what I have, but the effort didn't warrant $336 plus $99 service call fee. Just my $0.02.

The technician gave a cost estimate of between 2500 and 9500 to repair our AC unit. Also it would take “days” to get the parts and it’s about to be 4th of July weekend. I was told our unit was already 15 years old-he lost credibility, since the house is only 12 years!! So with further research and contacting another company, we learned that the most likely needed repair was a $279 combined part and install. We are sitting in a well air conditioned comfortable home again, just 24 hours after our initial consultation with S and K, that led us to believe we needed a whole new AC. It pays to do your research!

My technician was Joe McCleese. He came to my house asked me what was going on with the unit then looked it over. He told me he used to work service before he went to sales and that my unit was leaking refrigerant and just need to be serviced not replaced. He then went the extra step to find the leak order the new part and set up the servic . You dont find many honest companies around these days but I have dealt with Schneller & Knochelmann on many occasions and this is exactly why. They may not always be the cheapest but you really do get what you pay for and if paying a little more means you get great service and treated like a valued customer rather than an atm machine it's worth it to me.

Very prompt and courteous. My problem was not my AC drain that I had thought. I actually needed a plumber for my sewer so he called another team member and they were to my house within another hour. Fixed my drain back-up and all is good. I am always satisfied with their company. and techs.

Did not keep the time table requested. Go elsewhere, they have good reviews because they have a good system of collecting reviews not because they are actually good.The technician Bradley was very nice, and did a good job.The reason for the poor rating is that I went with this company, this it was pretty pricey, because they said they could get my hot water heater fixed quickly.I said the job needs to be done by Friday, they said that would not be a problem. I had to call the following Monday after not hearing from them at all. It was like they totally forgot about me after they took the $89 to tell me the problem. Go with someone else.

Eric did a great job installing a new water heater after our old one died. Answered all our questions about the various options (tankless or regular water heater). In the end we decided not to go tankless. Got a new water heater installed the next day! Looks great!

Didn't even get to the appointment as I was run around about pricing. Asking about the service fee they wouldn't consider waiving fee if repair was done with them.But The cost of the repair will be a mystery number.So another $89 on top of the repair cost which could be hundreds of of dollars already. They claim to charge flat rate for repairs, so a list of service pricing would be nice to gauge what a likely repair might cost.Transparency.Its so sad how companies still take advantage of us even in this time of crisis.I dont want anything for free but I want to be treated fairly.There we no discount offers available and the manager wouldn't even come to the phone.Not who I want to give my money.At least the rep on the phone was polite while she essentially told me to take a hike.

I asked for an inspection to my water heater.I've had two instances in the last year where leaks from other systems in my unit has damaged my down stairs neighbors ceiling. I really need to prevent future damage.My expectations were:1. An estimate to recondition my existing water heater.2. An estimate to replace the water heater.3. An estimate to install a automatic shut off valve.I can then make an informed decision about which path to take to minimize the risk of a future leak.What I received:My wife stated that the technician pointed out a manual shut off valve.I received a estimate for a new water heater.That was only one third of the information I was expecting.Clearly, my spouse and I did not accurately convey what I needed.Due to this miscommunication, I have experienced my first less than ideal interaction with Schneller Knochelmann. I attempted to email and respond to electronic surveys without a reply.Because of that difficulty I have lowered my rating of the company to 4 stars.I want to restore the 5 star status. For that to occur, I need to receive the following two estimates:1. A written estimate to install an automatic shut off valve to my existing unit.2. A written estimate to replace any worn parts.I am under the strong impression that this portion of the inspection did not happen. I would like to have a technician assess what parts likely need replaced, and generate an estimate to recondition the existing unit.Ideally, I would like to have my by email so I can look at all of the data available to make my best decision going forward.Please call me at the number you have on file to schedule another inspection. Schneller & Knochelmann told me on the phone that their basic plumbing charge was about $90 just to walk in the door. When they arrived for my small job (about 30 minutes' of work) they told me that it would cost an additional $275, and that was their _minimum_ fee. With tax, that was going to be $400 for a 30-minute job, which works out to an $800 / hour rate.Very misleading not to tell me when I first called that their true minimum price is $400, not $90. Way, way overpriced.

Called at 930am. They were here at 1230 only one who responded of the 5 major companies I called that day . Very satisfied with professionalism and courtesy and respectful of social distancing. We had an outstanding experience using Schneller Knochelmann. Our AC went out and on Tuesday morning we found out we needed a new unit. I called Schneller Knochelmann and they were able to send Adam out within an hour to check out our system and give us an estimate on a replacement. He was incredibly knowledgeable and personable. He LISTENED to my priorities and concerns and helped recommend a system that would work well for us. He showed us several options within our price point and was able to find a system in stock for us to be installed the next day (which was HUGE for us since it was about 90 degrees outside and we were dying with no AC). The next morning, Tim, Jason, and Ben came first thing to begin the install. They were courteous and professional. They took care with everything they did. We got a new Nest thermostat and they went through everything with me to make sure I was comfortable working it. They were most definitely a dream come true! That evening, we noticed a small clunking sound when the fan turned off. I called Thursday morning and they put me at the top of the list to have a tech come check it out. He was at my house within an hour of my call and had everything fixed up quickly. I am beyond appreciative of this company and their top notch service!

Issue with water-heater, which also led to discovering issues in the shower itself which needed to also be adjusted/repaired. Rheem tank installed, plumber Chad Barber was terrific…very experienced > evaluated problem, followed through, solved/corrected, good to go.Additionally, Schneller installed new, more efficient HVAC system (2017), that crew was equally knowledgeable; I think they’re pros.

Overall I found S&K to be professional. Over the course of replacing my AC, I dealt with 5 different people at the company. All were very friendly, personable, professional and knowledgeable. Not necessarily the best price in town (and don't be afraid to talk to them about that) but you get what you pay for.

Adam came to rescue us on July 4th because the heat pump was only blowing hot air. It turned out to be a complicated electrical problem and Adam was not able to solve it after two hours of hard work and sweating. However, I was moved by his professional attitude. The problem was solved the next day by another technician, Cody, who tried everything he could to finish the job. This company really cares about their customers. I feel lucky that I chose the right company.

Taylor was awesome! Polite, professional & friendly, he was here to install a new water heater. He did a very thorough explanation of my options before he started. Then he worked diligently all afternoon & at one point had to run out to get a few parts he didn’t have. I was amazed he was working alone, as he had to take the new water heater down 15 stairs to the basement! When he ran into a glitch that would give me hot water which I had been without for 4 days, he was determined to get it done before he left. So he was here much longer than he anticipated, but he remained upbeat & positive in spite of his frustration. When he was done, he again took the time to show me the basics of what I needed to know about the heater before he left. Our AC broke on Thursday evening. Went to their website and scheduled an appointment for Friday morning. They were on time and explained everything well. We opted purchase new finance and AC. The comfort advisor came out Friday afternoon. Again, prompt and courteous. He answered all our questions well. Set up install for Monday morning. The crew arrived on time. They worked quickly and cleanly. Really happy with the service.

Service call for the Air Scrubber and to check malfunctioning thermostat. The bulb for the Air Scrubber was swapped out in about 5min. The thermostat consumed most of the 2+ hours Sadie was here. But she stuck to it and placed several calls to troubleshoot the problem. Hopefully everything she did will correct the problem.

Very nice and professional plumbers ( I met two) with good customer service and modern tools (emails with pics of plumbers). In my experience the job required a follow up visit to meet Duke Energy's requirements for replacing a hot water heater gas line. It all took place in one day. I feel they are very expensive though. Our job took maybe 90 mins and cost over $800.

Bradley was very helpful! He helped me repair an older exterior frost-free faucet stem assembly that’s no longer available. He had all the parts he needed in his van and completed the repair in about 10 minutes. The faucet is no longer leaking! Very satisfied!!!

They came back in June to fix my dual kitchen sink pipe from leaking. They did the repairs fast. Unfortunately, the sink pipe on the other side decided to come loose three months later. They came back out, same team, fixed the pipe and didn't charge me a second time. I really appreciated that!

Had the sales guy cone out and running BOGO Furnace AC and it was not. I was not home during installation my wife was but she said the burned something I can see the burn marks on our utility room floor. There is litterly air coming out where the evaporator coil is. This system the sheet metal isn't even close to being air tight. No duct seal. They DID NOT replace the line set (we went with this deal because our old ac leaked refrigerant) what if the line set has a leak? It's to cold to turn on the AC for that long to see. We went with Knochelmann because family run business and seen the reviews. We paid over 12k for a BOGO and feel we drew the short straw. Also she said one of the guys was sick coughing all over and not covering his mouth inside our house. I see the good reviews but I guess we are one of the exceptionals. Hindsight looking back I would go with another contractor. Imagine buying a brand new car and old parts are under the hood? Be careful and make sure you do your home work. I would of taken the day off to be here if I knew all this. My wife and I are dissatisfied for the price, end product, and the non professionalism.

I've used Schneller & Knochelmann exclusively for the last 5 years. I've had them out for three or four tune-ups as well as to have our entire HVAC system replaced this Janurary. They've always been very responsive and are able to schedule service quickly. The technicians are knowledgable and do a good job. When we had our whole system replaced the humidifier wasn't working and one of the outdoor conduit connections was cracked. S&K came out quickly and fixed these issues. I always recommend S&K and will continue to use them. I can't speak to their value becasue I haven't really priced out jobs, but I think S&K does such a good quality job that it may be worth paying just a bit more. I'll be reaching out to them this week to see about getting our water heater replaced.

We are so glad that we called Schneller and Knochelmann. Our furnace stopped working a few weeks ago. We have used other hvac companies and haven’t been too impressed by their sales tactics and overall job performance. We called a few reputable companies so that we could compare. John Knochelmann visited and he was clearly knowledgeable in this field. He was thorough, had great suggestions, and offered the best customer service we’ve seen in a HVAC company, or any company in the home maintenance field.The technicians worked so hard all day long and when they completed we were shown all of the bells and whistles of the system. This company charges $99 to just come to your home. The plumber looked at my clogged bathroom sink and said it would be $398 to unstop it plus the $99 for coming. I called another company and it was a total of $93. Don’t be scammed!!

Our AC stopped working on a Thursday night. We were able to have a technician out the next afternoon (Friday). Unfortunately, it was determined that our AC unit was beyond repair and that we needed a new one. We had a Sales Representative out later that day to review what our options were. We had the new AC installed on Monday afternoon. The new AC unit and thermostat were installed and the technicians did not leave until all of our questions were answered and everything was in working order. I am very happy with the knowledge and professionalism provided by all Schneller & Knochelmann employees we dealt with. They made the process much easier than I expected it to be. I recommend them and will be using them for any future heating and cooling needs.

Spent a long time carefully reviewing all aspects of my furnace operation. No skimping on time even though he was here on contract.

Bradley originally installed our water heater in November of 2020. He’s always professional, courteous, and strives to get any problem resolved as quickly as possible.

I gave them an extra star because the plumbers that came out were helpful and did all they could. The plumber told me he had to stop or else he was going to cause a hole in the sewer line, I have to send a guy out to quote for the work, which was jackhammer our slab in the basement and replace a cast iron pipe and maybe more. I waited for a call didn't receive one, so I called them no problem, they said we don't even know if we do that I will have to call you back, no call back. Next day called again this time they tried to get a hold of the plumbing manager no luck said we will call you back no call back. I know they have my number because the plumber called me a couple times during the job. At this point I am tired of waiting or hearing back. I understand it is a busy time I am sure but the customer service here is terrible. I found a place that got me taken care of immediately.

Jeremy performed the 2nd service on our new Daikin HVAC unit and all went well. Jeremy arrived on time - was very professional, he appeared to be very knowledgeable regarding what needed to be done and made a good suggestion regarding air filters for the furnace. See you in six months.

I needed a plumber right away and Schneller came to the rescue. They sent Scott who was very professional, respected social distancing and knowledgeable about my problem. He fixed three issues while he was there. I use Schneller for HVAC and plumbing and they have never failed me. They also don’t overcharge or cut corners which is rare these days.

We left a call back number the night before and they called back promptly the next morning. They had a technician out the same day and he worked through a sudden downpour to diagnose our problem. They were very professional and I was glad we had called them.

The team all the way from coming in to giving me a quote on the day of my HVAC going out to the 2 day turnaround on installing a new one was great service. Andrew B was great in letting me know what was wrong with my unit, Pete was great to work with when he came out for my quote and Nick G and his team were awesome when installing. When installing, they laid out carpets, put covering over my carpet stairs and were very respectful for my home and left no mess and no damage. They even did me a favor and reconnected my dryer vent for me while they were in the crawl space.I also got 3 quotes for a new unit and the Schneller couldn’t be beat. Would recommend 10/10.

Overall I was fairly pleased, had scheduled a plumber to come by and install a new kitchen faucet (we supplied the faucet). The phone rep did advise me of a trip charge and indicated they couldn't provide an estimate at the time of the call. Technician arrived right on time (excellent job) and then shared the normal install charge...crazy high...indicated that we wouldn't/couldn't pay that. The rep did offer to remove the old faucet (which is what I was really worried about) for the trip charge. He came up with a solution that worked for us. Just very disappointed that a broad quote wasn't supplied at time of scheduling especially since the book price was quoted upon the tech's arrival.

John arrived on time and was very personable and professional, which made it easy for me to ask many questions. John explained all my options after we discussed what my expectations were for heating & cooling. The products speak for themselves ~ Daikin's 12 yr warranty is a huge selling factor. Overall experience was very favorable.

Our air stopped working last night. I called at 7:00 AM today and they were able to schedule me for between 10-12 pm. By 8:45 I had a call that they could come early. We had Ian Taylor. He was very kind and helpful. He answered all my random questions and was able to fix our AC (broken capacitor) in no time. Would definitely use them again.

We had an A/C unit that was not cooling properly and required a system adjustment which Logan figured out and fixed it for us. The company stands behind their workmanship and product which they installed for us 2 years ago. Everyone is friendly, helpful , prompt and professional. Schneller & Knochelmann has helped us with several emergencies this summer and with replacing a furnace, a/c unit and now a water heater plus we had them replace our outdoor hose spicot. They are on-time, friendly, do a great job (and stay there for as long as it takes). I love that they send a photo and bio of the service person before they arrive. They have been prompt, fair, courteous and even fun to work with! I won't call anyone else for our plumbing and hvac needs.

Scheduled my yearly tune-up. Chris called with a 30-min heads up for his arrival. When he arrived, he explained everything he was going to do today, as well as the more probable outcomes. The service person was extremely professional and explained every aspect of the repair. Took care of our problem in a timely and thorough manner. However, I waited all day for the service person to arrive. I called twice to make sure I was still on the schedule. We also had to hold our dinner waiting for him to finally arrive at 7:00-7:15 pm. It would help if there was some way to have a time frame when they will be arriving so you can arrange your day.

Recently had a plumber come out from Schneller and Knochelmann due to a leaking garbage disposal. The tech charged me $324 to replace the flange (a $25 part at most) which took him approximately 30 min all said and done. After reaching out to get an explanation of this predatory price I was credited $99 for the service charge. If my math is correct this comes out to about $400 per hour of labor... Pick someone else unless you want to get fleeced.

Another good experience with Schneller & Knockleman—1st they did a thorough inspection of the HVAC system then their plumbing division diagnosed a leaky pipe issue. They made 2 different recommendations how to fix the problem which ended up being a bit more extensive than originally thought but they did the extra work at no additional charge to the original estimate. We were very happy with the results.

I had already found the leak in my basement ceiling and had already cut a hole out in my ceiling and when they got there they confirmed of what I had said the leak was . The problem here is that they said they need to make the hole I already cut out bigger which would of been fine but they wanted to charge me $350 to make a hole already there bigger . That's robbery ! Told them to leave and still had to pay $89 for absolutely nothing already had the problem found all they had to do was change 1 90° elbow.

When my water heater died, I called a few different plumbing companies. Schneller was the only one that would give me an estimate over the phone! From the first of a couple of phone conversations with John Snowden, and a follow-up call from David (unfortunately, I don't know his last name, but he is a plumber), I was very impressed. David called to let me know someone was able to come sooner than the window I was given. He then texted me a photo of the technician coming, Taylor Thibodeau.Taylor was wonderful! He arrived on time, assessed the situation, explained the options and gave me the cost. He was very professional, courteous, polite, and friendly. He seemed very organized and knowledgeable! He worked all afternoon removing and installing my giant 18+ year old water heater. Due to all the sediment, the water wouldn't drain out, so he went out and bought a pump. He wore the booties and put them on the wheels of the dolly to protect my carpet. He cleaned up when he was finished, and then moved furniture back in place.He even filled out the financing application for me! (Added bonus, Amazon had delivered two heavy boxes while he was here, and knowing I recently had shoulder surgery, he carried the boxes up the flight of stairs for me!)Along with their great reputation, Schneller also offers a 10 year warranty on cost and labor! Taylor also explained a program I would be automatically enrolled in that would give me discounted costs on services. I would have given a better rating on value of the cost, but I have no idea what the cost should be. I highly recommend the company and have high praise for all the employees I dealt with!!!Side note, I waited from 8 am to noon for another plumbing company (whose name sounds like they're happy). After hearing nothing, I finally called them around 2:30 pm, and was told the plumber was delayed!! A phone call would have been courteous and appreciated!!! So I decided not to use them. And I'm so glad I didn't!

Pete initially came out to look at my house on Friday. He walked through every area to see if there were insulation hot spots that should be addressed. He also explained the upgrades I'll receive with the new system. My old HVAC system was still running, but at 20-30 years old, who knows how much longer I had. He was respectful, helpful and extremely informative regarding next steps.On Monday, Josh and Tim came out to my house around 8:15-8:30 AM and were finished by 4:30 PM. They were quick on removing the equipment and installing the new HVAC system. They dug out an area and placed a nice block for the new A/C system to sit on. My past one sat in a garden bed and was a pain to clean. I know I won't have to deal with this on the new setup.The new furnace is a smaller footprint than the 20 year old system they removed. I've already noticed how much quieter it is, as well as how quickly it supplies hot air to the house. I don't have much square footage but there's a noticeable difference in efficiency. They even updated the thermostat with a NEST system and as much of a techie as I am, I love being able to change the temperature from anywhere in the house. I'm looking forward to remotely changing the house temperature once this stay-at-home order is over. The thermostat also provides a history of your energy usage, which over time, will help with the bills.Tim and Josh both went over the new equipment and Josh walked me through the NEST thermostat. All in all, I couldn't have asked for better service and I know my parents will be reaching out soon to discuss their plumbing. Sadie did a great job very professional. As we have a new system there wasn't any problems of course, however she still explains the numbers to me and the results of the test that she gave it.

We had a shower faucet replaced after we broke it off attempting to repair a leak. They arrived within several hours of calling and determined they needed parts. They returned the next morning and had it fixed within a couple hours. Nice job. The reason for 3 stars is we feel it was over priced at over $1000 just to replace the faucet.

I've used this company several times, for heating, a/c, and water heater services. Have been very satisfied every time. I've had various technicians come out, and each one was professional, technically competent, and respectful of homeowner's property. Also, a shout out to the office staff who do an excellent job taking incoming calls, but also, communicating between the assigned technician and the customer, to keep the customer up to date on when to expect the technician, and then again when the technician is on the way over. As a customer I find that timely communication very helpful with planning my day and allows me to ensure I'm ready and available when the technician arrives.

Overall I had a positive experience, but I'd like to elaborate on my opinions at certain points. I opted for a full AC/furnace replacement at my condo based on a recent promotion. The salesperson made a relatively short presentation after looking at our setup. The specific brand wasn't identified in the presentation or the initial proposal - only the basic specs (which is substantial). We later agreed on having a humidifier added with no additional cost pending upfront payment in full.However, 2 problems came to fruition. First, the discrepancy of the humidifier being included was not taken into account and so the salesperson had to come back in with the unit to have it installed, which caused delays on the tech side and gave rise to the second problem - improper installation. The techs at the time wanted to have everything done day on 1 - which is perfectly reasonable - but it resulted in a sub-par install which (although technically legal) is far below the recommended procedure and certainly not high efficiency as even the manual states.I was able to get a second team of techs to come out and finalize the install in a way that satisfied both the technical recommendations and customer aspirations, but I do wish that it didn't take this much effort - an extra 30-40 minutes at the onset would have taken care of it vs. a secondary trip. 95%+ should be a closed system.

Fast courteous service from a true professional. After calling three different companies on a Sunday afternoon, Schneller was the only company to call me back and respond within the hour. My hvac tech was upfront about the costs and completed the job in a timely fashion. I will definitely call Schneller for my future hvac needs

Caleb was amazingly knowledgeable, with information to backup his concerns about our very old furnace. He even took the time to take videos of the issues that I physically could not reach at my age. I needed help with my main water shutoff valve which Was stuck open so I couldn’t shut off the water supply. Taylor worked on the valve and got it unstuck for me. I can now shut off the water to the house. He also gave me a quote to replace the valve with a new one when necessary. Our house in Erlanger needed an entire HVAC system after many decades of use on rather short notice. The guys at Schneller first gave us a second opinion on possible replacement before creating several options for the best system.We still cautiously took a couple of additional quotes but Schneller came in, at not only a lower price, but even better equipment than their competitors. Part of our concern was selling the house in the near future. The Amana brand they offer has a fully transferable warranty - a great resell feature.The work was scheduled just a few days out and was completed inside a day. The new unit is not only more efficient but takes up less space in our utility room. A Wi-Fi thermostat was part of the package and is so easy to use from our mobiles.Everything was done quickly and neatly, including removing the old system and no mess left behind.Thank guys. Joe was great. Our A/C and furnace is 23 years old so we were already looking to purchase new. He was so knowledgeable. Found and showed me problems with my old system. Things where we weren’t getting full efficiency. He answered all the questions my wife and I had. Offered an optional remote sensor for the thermostat. (Our stat is by our back door and is affected by the outside temp if the door is open for extended periods.) During the Covid pandemic he was wearing his mask and the extra step he took when he gave us our contact was unexpected. He sprayed it with sanitizer and then gave us the sanitizer. I had a Daikin mini split system installed on my third floor. All the employees I worked with were very helpful, gave clear explanations, and worked with me to meet my criteria for interior and exterior placement of the system.

Joe offered good choices for hvac units to install and he was able to answer all my questions. The best part is that he recommended adding a return to a bedroom that was always cold. It is not cold anymore :) It really made a difference.

I paid the $85(ish) trip fee for them to come out and quote me a price 4.5x higher than another company. To me, it seems like it's easy to make a quick $85, quote high, and move on ripping people off on that. Called to request my money back since it was such a joke on what they quoted me and was told a manager would call back. Never heard from them. Call Dixon Plumbing. Save money with no trip fees and they are honest.

I'm always pleased with the service I get from Schneller & Knochelmann. They are always on-time, responsive, friendly, cheerful, and do an excellent job. We've used them for a myriad of HVAC and plumbing updates, major fixes, and minor repairs. They take ownership of a problem, make useful suggestions without being pushy, and their pricing seems extremely fair for the quality of work that they perform. We recently bought a home. After living in the home for a week we realized our AC was not working at all. We called several different HVAC companies for quotes on replacing the entire AC system. We ended up choosing Schneller & Knochelman mainly based on our conversations with Dylan Baine. In our opinion out of all the companies we spoke to, Dylan was the most thorough. He took his time during the inspection, looked at everything carefully, and explained what they would need to do step by step. He informed us that they could replace everything and that we would have working AC but that we would also need to increase the size of some of our ducts in order to maximize its efficiency. We really appreciated this because in several other consultations we had had with several other companies no one mentioned duct work or how we could make the air work better with just a few small changes to the ducts and at a minimal cost. Schneller & Knochelman we’re not the cheapest by far compared to several other companies we received quotes from however they offered several different payment plans/ financing options that made something very expensive more affordable for our family. We also received a 10 year warranty on parts & labor as well as a 1 year maintenance agreement as part of our deal. We felt like we made the best choice and got the best value for our money. They were very professional & friendly on install day. The technician’s names were Mike Grube & Brandon I believe. They took their time, and before they left explained everything to us in detail. They were very patient when we asked a million questions about everything (this is our 1st home purchase ever) and I really appreciated that. A few days after the system was installed we noticed a bunch of condensation on the ducts downstairs. We called Schneller & Knochelman late at night and explained to them the situation. They sent someone out the next morning (at no cost) and the technician was wonderful. His name was Jeremy Rice. He fixed the problem after a thorough inspection ( turned out it was just an old filter). And again answered the tons of questions I had. He was very friendly & professional as well. Believe it or not a week after the AC install we noticed a bad smell coming from a few rooms in our house. Thinking it was a plumbing issue, we called Schneller & Knochelman since they offer those services as well and we had such a great experience with them for our AC. Again a technician, Scott Butler, was sent out (actually the same day we called) to inspect everything. We received a discount on this as well due to having the maintenance agreement in place for the AC. He was also very thorough, friendly and professional. He informed us that he didn’t believe the smell was coming from a plumbing issue and that all of our plumbing was working as it should with no concerns. He gave us some ideas on what to look at next as the cause of the smell. After Scott left my husband and I discussed what he said but we were still convinced it was something to do with the plumbing. We called Schneller & Knochelman again, they sent Scott back out the next morning, he inspected everything again and re- assured us that the smell was not a plumbing issue. Even though we didn’t end up needing the plumbing services after all we appreciate the technician for stopping by twice & trying to help us figure it all out. Overall we’ve had a wonderful experience with this company so far. The air is working wonderfully, the employees have been both professional & friendly, the technicians have been knowledgeable and thorough and even though they were a bit more expensive in the end I believe it’s worth it for the comfort we have knowing things were done the right way and that they actually care at the end of the day. We hired this company to perform a central AC and furnace inspection on a house we considering buying. We are from the Texas Gulf coast and not familiar with boiler heating systems. The technician performed a thorough inspection and provided me with a detailed report of the findings. He also took the time to explained to me how the 2 different systems work to cool the house in summer and heat it in winter. Adam was very thorough in his assessment of our needs. I called Schneller and Knochelmann based on good reviews and a recent promotion they did, but didn't necessarily think we would end up using them for our new system. However, Adam's attention to detail and willingness to put in the time to try to solve our cooling issues convinced us otherwise! Schneller & Knochelmann was not the cheapest, but we were looking for a good value and a company that stands behind what they sell. We have not yet had our system installed, but we are hopeful that we found that company!

Great services. Unlike the 2 other providers I spoke with, Schneller and Knochelmann delivered a full quality service by evaluating the duct work in our house and doing a AC sizing estimate on our property. They made two fundamental changes: 1) They identified and fixed a problem on our duct work that I had suspected was an issue for years (they pointed it out before I mentioned anything about it) and 2) Reducing the tonnage of the A.C. from a 3 ton unit to a 2.5 ton unit.The result? A more comfortable house and a lower energy bill (we've had the unit for more than a month now and when comparing the most recent month to the same month a year ago, we see that our energy bill decreased by ~10% (and all while setting our thermostat 1-2 degrees cooler).Did have some issues with communication between the sales guy and the installation team. I had to have them come back to my house to fix some things that weren't accomplished as agreed. This was a communication issue and mentioned because if I were to need them again, I'd review the job with the team doing the install before they started to ensure we were all on the same page.

I was stood up twice by these nerds this week (Monday and Friday for plumbing services)! So I call on Saturday and they say they CAN get someone out but the fee just to come out has increased from $89-$129, which at this point I think should be waived. Calling a different company on Monday, but talking trash until S&K reaches out to me.

Caleb saved the day when our AC died on a Sunday. He quickly figured out the problem and when he wasn't able to get the needed part because of it being Sunday he still got it half working so we could get through the night. He was back early the next day with the part and now our AC is working great. In fact I don't think it ever worked this well. Definitely remembering this company next time something breaks in my home!

Bradley was very personable and nice. I would rate him highly but I believe there was a wild swing in the price after he spoke to his manager/supervisor. I received an estimate to replace a large visible above ground sewer pipe(20-25ft) with easy access that was more than 4 times the cost of my next closest estimate. Also by a reputable plumbing company, Several thousands of dollars. Pics were taken and sent work drawn up so no possible confusion. I don't know if they thought i was an idiot but i always do my research. I would say BEWARE AT ANY COST. Now I understand why they charge for estimates.

I was extremely happy with Logan's maintenance visit for my three AC units. He was very thorough and took his time letting me know the status of each unit. We have a large smoke tree behind our property and the 3 compressors were entirely matted with plant material. When he left they were spotless. Very friendly, courteous and efficient service!

They are a family owned business and it shows by how they treat their customers. If we ever have a problem, question or concern, they always respond quickly and follow thru. I can't say enough good things about this wonderful family owned company. The only regret we have is we didn't start using them 30 years ago.

We were without air conditioning from Saturday morning through Tuesday morning. The hottest days of summer, and Schneller Knochelmann removed our 32 year old Rheem air conditioner, and replaced it with a new Rheem system. They did a great job, and we could sleep much better in the air conditioning. The installation was professional, and top notch!

HONEST. They said we needed nothing done with our ac and furnace after a free evaluation. The salesperson, adam, recommended a change of filter that would provide more thoroughly filtrated air but also increase the output. We will definitely call them with any of our HVAC needs.

There were some leaks around the seals since the silicone was applied late on a very humid day, which I noticed after they left. This is my second install with them. Two years ago they replaced cold air return ductwork for me. They also conduct maintenance checks on my units. Based on today's experience I would not recommend Schneller & Knochelmann. We called them to look at our furnace that hasn't been running properly. Two youngmen showed up with in the quoted timeframe. Their questioning and demeanor was odd from the start. Everything seemed like an awkward prelude to a sales pitch. After an hour in our basement I asked how long they'd be. They said they were writing up our assessment. They said it was a dirty flame sensor. I said great let's go ahead and fix it thenWell we need to complete our assessment for you firstAt this point I was frustrated and told them I wasn't interested in an up sell or being sold a new HVAC unit. One rep came up and said the other person was in training and if it were just him he would have had it completed.In short, we paid $89 for a useless sales call and our furnace still isn't fixed. I paid $89 for some to get trained on how a service call can be turned into a terrible sales pitch.I felt like I had let in two door to door gutter cleaners, not two professional tradesmen.

Had a leak under my kitchen sink repaired. It took exactly an hour of labor and a few sections of PVC pipe. The cost was $560. No issue with the repair so far, but I do think I was taken advantage of and would encourage others to look elsewhere.

For starters, I had to contact the company on three different occasions to get with someone to schedule an appointment. Next, the technician sent to my house literally said he wasn’t knowledgeable enough to provide me with a quote and then departed. Why send someone who can’t even quote the requested service? That was a waste of my time. I was supposed to be called to schedule another technician to come out, but that never happened. A frustrating experience overall.Update: Tech showed up this morning to provide a quote. I had no idea anyone was coming, but at least the ball is rolling. I've updated the review score a bit for now.

Caleb arrived a little earlier than expected and went straight to work. He completed the installation of the Iwave in a short amount of time. He explained what he did and answered my questions. Caleb handled his task in an efficient and professional manner. I felt informed and comfortable with having this new system installed and would recommend it to anyone.

This company is always professional. My tech was knowledgeable, professional and personable. He completed maintenance on my Heating/humidifier and also installed and informed me how to use my new CO2 detectors.

Andrew* was our tech and he was really great! Paid the $99 fee for the diagnostic fee and coming out to the location, and then charged $50 for the repair (which was using a wrench to tighten a loose pipe).It was a gas line, so it was something that I didn't feel comfortable messing with as a homeowner, but I feel the $50 surcharge on top of the diagnostic fee was a bit much, given that he was here for only 20 minutes. Most companies I've worked with in the past would've allowed the tech to waive the fee for a simple fix like that.I'm glad the issue was fixed, but I most likely won't be using their services again.

Zach was my new tech this time and I was very pleased having him service my air condition. I have been getting my furnace and air condition checked every year. He did recommend changing 2 air condition parts that were failing. He also suggested to have my air ducts looked into. Adam from their team indicated that my duct work done by the builder was not done the most efficient way and now they are supposed to correct that as well. Granted it is a big expense but I am trusting Schneller that they are guiding me correctly as they have been honest and truly seem to guide the customers. Zach was amazing and I look forward having him service my furnace in the fall. I prefer to have the same tech come out and I will certainly request Zach next time. Now looking forward to my next big duct work job. I am hoping it goes well too. Keep up the great work.

Our service tech was quick and professional. He had the A/C unit repaired and serviced within a few hours at our fire station!

I called Schneller for a clogged shower drain on my second floor. After the plumbers first attempt at unclogging the drain was unsuccessful, they informed me i had what they deemed a whole house clog and they would have to go get a larger piece of equipment to use and that the toilet would need to be removed to snake they pipe that way. The plumber informed me it was going to be quite an additional up-charge to do this. After I was done picking my jaw up off the ground, I proceeded to tell them to go ahead and do the service. (This is my first time ever having to call a plumber, and my understanding is that the trades are in high demand so I assumed the sticker shock was most likely on par with the going rate for the service) I was told that the up-charge of this service was mostly due to having to lift and move the toilet, given how heavy it is. I have helped to move and install a toilet before and realize they are heavy but sheesh!! Again, I felt I was at the mercy of the professional with the proper tool. I was told they would be putting tarps and moving blankets down to keep everything clean and protected. Fast forward an hour, the plumbers come down and tell me they are all finished, the pipes were cleared, and they would be on their way. This is where I make another mistake and don't go inspect my bathroom after they were finished. Once they are gone, I go upstairs figuring there would be some cleanup on my end and some sanitizing of my shower, floor, etc. I find my white tile bathroom floor scuffed and a chip out of one of the tiles directly in front of the toilet. I immediately call the office to inform them of the damage. They sent out a contractor to inspect the floor and see what could be done about it. Long story short, the restoration company was able to get my floor pretty close back to normal with the exception of the penny sized chip in the tile. Given current circumstances, I am not in a position to go through with an entire floor replacement as I was told that would be the only way to get it back to 100% however, Clay Hagger reimbursed me a good chunk of my service charge and was very accommodating. In my eyes, they made good on their error and I will continue to use them for services as needed.

Zach was very friendly and very professional. He walked me thru what he would be doing before and then again after he completed his work. He also recommended and then installed an air cleaner. With my allergies, this will be a real blessing!

S&K team are great! Pete K did a wonderful job sizing my system. I hired then for a complete replacement.....Rheem furnace, heat pump, all new ductwork. They were not the least expensive bid, however they were the most professional.Mike and Brandon oversaw most of the work; answering all my questions, did a great job! I wanted to have some duct work done and replaced NOT CLEANED, because of the massive amount of dust blowing out of the ducts when the furnace blower is running. A young kid showed up telling me all I needed was a $2500.00 filter replacement done, even though I told him what I wanted was the duct work done. That would have been less that $1000.00 dollars. Today the duct work still isn't done, I'm out $2500.00 and the dust is still filling my house! I'm supposed to have a free furnace cleaning done by them, but I don't trust them enough to return inside my home. I have a very low opinion of this company and would certainly NOT recommend them to even clean a bird bath.

We had an appointment to have our air condioning checked to prepare for summer. Zach Niceley was the Service Technician who came to our home on April 28, 2020. This young man was one of the most knowledgeable persons we have dealt with. It was immediately obvious that he knew his business and was very exerienced in all areas of heating and air conditioning equipment. He responded to our concerns and questions and answered in a way that made it easy for us to understand and took the time to explain again if necessary. Since our system is approximately 11 years old and we also had some issues with air flow through some vents, he explained to us some reason why certain things were occurring and also showed us items of concern that we were not aware of. He gaves us several options to consider and we made the decision to have a comfort specialist come to our home to discuss purchasing a new system and obtain heating and air quotes.We have dealt with Schneller & Knochelmann for many years and have always been very pleased with the service provided and the many ServiceTechnicians that have come to our home. We would definitely recommend this Company.

I have tried to contact the business directly before writing a review. But no response. They came out 2/24 and fixed my toilet flange everything looked good working properly. Got to talking to the installer and I asked for a quote on a water heater. I said if you can get it here today you can do that as well. He said he could, I said ok great go ahead. Excited to get these checked off the todo list. After further inspection of the toilet flange they secured the strap to the subfloor!!! Which then screwed right through the floor of the newly remodeled bathroom!!! One wood screw whole clean through and backed out. While the other half way and bucked the floor planks. Intros to contact via live chat (they said they would bubble this up to the office) no response. Tried the review via email no response tried calling same thing (we will bubble this up to the office) no response. The tech was very professional and knowledgeable I will say that. I get it accidents happen but 2 things 1. You don’t secure the strap the the subfloor while the original one is to the joist. 2. A little heads up that a miss take was made would be nice. Still waiting on a call back to discuss further

I like their service plan. Their employees are always professional, polite, and thorough. The only complaint that I have is that some of their replacement parts are very pricey. Their service man came out late at nite when we called about smelling some burning plastic odor coming from our furnace. He was very professional and took his time checking every inch of our furnace, and after assuring us the furnace was fine we were able to get a good nights sleep. No problems since. I used this company as a subcontractor for a client of mine who was in desperate need. Long story short, she had multiple medical issues, and a daughter who required daily medical care. When they used us for a water damage we needed to replace their furnace as soon as possible. Schneller & Knochelmann came out within a day of my call, I had the estimate that day, and we had replaced the furnace within 72 hours. I've never seen a company respond like that before. The service and installation of our HVAC system was great, no complaints.Today however, was a problem.I had called and scheduled a camera inspection of my plumbing drain system.They only sent out a plumber, no camera, no inspector.I had taken a day off work to be here for this, now I'll have to burn another vacation day and schedule an inspection again.They blamed it on miscommunication, I had CLEARLY stated in my phone call what I needed done.Hope they fix this.

I called today with a leaking pipe dripping water into my basement. Scott came with another gentleman, diagnosed and fixed the problem in about 45 minutes. (A mouse chewed through the pvc pipe, they replaced it with copper) I was extremely pleased with the work and response!! No parts needed and cost-to-service was $129, which may seem high, but for us it was well worth it for a very quick fix on a late Friday night. *Update* 7/21- water heater thermostat went out; repair was made next day without charge.

Over the 7+ years of owning our “money pit”, we have experienced a furnace fire, basement flood, water pouring from our upper bathroom to our newly renovated kitchen below and SO much more! It’s been a nightmare at times. We started out using other companies or whomever insurance sent and learned our lesson the hard way. They have always showed up ASAP in emergencies and given us reasonable options for quick fix and long term while being completely open and honest. Every employee that I’ve ever had contact with has been very pleasurable. Do their scheduled HVAC maintenance plan, It’s so worth it! They come out twice a year to clean and check everything, but never hassle you to fix something right away. It’s a quick and easy way to stay informed, plus they call you to schedule it and to remind you before the appointment.They been a great choice for us over the past 4 or so years that we’ve been using them.

He went as far as checking my cold air returns and found one that was not working correctly. He climbed into my attic and found that the pipe had been stepped on and crushed. Our ac is becoming unreliable and both the ac and furnace are extremely old. Adam did a great job of explaining our options for replacing them. He is very knowledgeable and explained things well so that I could easily understand. I felt that Adam wasn’t trying to sell me the most expensive products. He genuinely cared about helping us find products that would do the job, but are also affordable. We have used Schneller and Knochelmann before and we continue to be very impressed and happy with their service.

Never again. After a horrendous experience with a local Drainage LLC company whose inferior work the week prior caused our basement to flood, I contacted Schneller & Knochelmann (hereafter referred to as S&K) to install a sump pump to replace the one installed a week prior by the local Drainage LLC.On April 2, 2018, S&K installed a PHCC C-33 All-in-One sump pump in our finished basement. Within 2 days, the new sump pump installed by S&K (which they charged me $2,200 for) came apart in the sump pit and re-flooded the finished basement. The S&K plumber said he'd never seen anything like that before, told me it was a manufacturer defect, put the pump back together and REINSTALLED THE PUMP WITH THE MANUFACTURER DEFECT BACK IN THE SUMP PIT telling me it should be fine now. S&K paid for the water mitigation for this flood which was around $4,000.On September 9, 2018 the outflow line sprung a leak and was spraying water all over. An S&K plumber came out and charged me $238 to fix the outflow pipe leak. 5 days later, on September 13, 2018 we noticed that the outflow pipe was still leaking. We again called S&K and the plumber came again and successfully repaired the leaks.On February 7, 2019, the twice-installed S&K PHCC pump with the manufacturer defect came apart in the sump pit and RE-FLOODED the finished basement, ruining all of the new Rec Room, Hallway, and 2 Bedrooms' carpeting that had been installed just 9 months previously. New carpet and padding had to be ripped out, baseboards ripped out and replaced, damaged personal property thrown away, built-in cabinetry removed (again) and reinstalled (again), bathroom flooring ripped out and replaced, walls repaired and repainted ... a total nightmare to have to go through again! S&K's insurance picked up the tab for this ... nearly $37,000. S&K replaced the pump with a Zoeller pump but installed it so low in the pit that it ran every minute or less from February 7th until today (the bottom of my pit is right on the water table, courtesy of Drees). Today I had a Triple-Safe pump installed by The Basement Doctor. The Basement Doctor noticed that the S&K Zoeller pump's pipe work did not have any check valves, meaning that much of the water that had been pumped up fell right back into the sump pit when the pump would cycle off. This is basic, S&K!The sump pump has been my major issue with S&K, although I could mention the new HVAC system that they installed only to tell me later that it was incorrectly installed and that it would cost me between $1,000 and $2,000 to have them installed correctly. Wait, what???Or that one of the sump pump plumbers from S&K decided that my house was built on a spring (it isn't) and thought it could be around $40,000 to fix that non-existant issue.Schneller & Knochelmann, I am through with you.

Woke up this morning to a dead hot water heater. Due to our past positive experience with Schneller & Knochelmann Plumbing, Heating & Air, I didn't hesitate to give them a call. Within hours they were at our house and quickly diagnosed the problem. A new water heater was what we wanted and after a dash back to their shop they returned with a new one. Our main shut-off valve inside the house was not in great condition so I requested that be changed out while the water was off and they were already here anyway.As always, the job was completed promptly, correctly and at the exact price they quoted before starting. Our AC was not cooling off the past 24 hours. It was set to 72 degrees and the house was reaching 80. Not good. I called that afternoon for service and was able to have someone stop by that early evening. The culprit was a part on the AC unit that failed. Jeremy was professional, respectful and attentive. He was able to troubleshoot the problem and resolve it quickly.

Where to begin this tale of woe?Scheduled my last furnace tune-up covered under my service agreement for 11/06/21 and they sent out 'Sean'. Going in he seemed like a decent enough tech but at the end of his 'tune-up' he informs me that the Heat Exchanger on my 10yr old furnace is 'cracked'. He viewed it at the end of #2 burner. Records on his inspection form that the CO coming into my house is 654ppm and that the heat exchanger needs replaced. Unable to provide me a quote because parts dept. closed on Saturday but he says this repair typically runs $3-4,000. I didn't just fall off the turnip truck. The heat exchanger on my furnace is a 2 stage all stainless steel one with a limited lifetime warranty. He was basically just trying to make a sale. I called in a second tech (Cincinnati Heating and Air Conditioning) the following week who confirmed my suspicions. Furnace is fine. No CO coming into the home. 3 days after that I called to cancel my service agreement. Now after 3 calls with promises the 'lady who handles that will cancel it and call you to confirm.' I'm still being billed $15 a month on my credit card. Don't use this company. They are unethical in my opinion. They are predatory. Heaven help me if I had been some inexperienced home owner. I'm going to have to cancel my credit card to get rid of this monthly charge. They apparently don't care about taking money from people under false pretenses?

This company installed a system in a house that I purchased. Upon purchasing the property I called them to come out for an estimate on A couple of minor additions to the system. The tech came out and told my General Contractor that he would be glad to give an estimate on that as well as replacing one of the radiators in place. Crickets. After many days I called to find out why I had heard nothing and they said they would be back with me in 24 hours. Again crickets. I called today and they said this is notA job they can take on at this time. It would’ve been nice to know that two weeks ago. When I asked for a recommendation of someone who might do the work I was told they had none. Worthless wast of time.

They tried to tell us we needed a blower on 3 different maintenance (cleaning) calls. We got a second opinion and our blower is fine. I am thinking they get commission!

We have been with Knochelmann for years and they were eventually bought out by Service Experts. We assumed the companies were the same, but noticed over the years that we were getting less of a personalized service, so we started to look for a new provider only to find out that Knochelmann was now operating as a separate company. Went back to them and we are very happy to be receiving the personalized service once again that we had been missing. Our technician, Corey, was very honest in his assessment of our (admittedly aging) system and what our options were for future work. Happy to be back!

Highly trained employees and always friendly and polite. I have never seen such a high level of service in an HVAC company. Even in this time where it is hard to find good people they manage to have them. The reason we contacted Schneller Air was because our current brand new systems for our new 2-family building did not properly evaporate moisture.Adam Wilson was the representative who gave us a lot of detailed information about our problem and the confidence in the potential solution with a completely different type of system. We decided to purchase two Daikin Fit heating, air and thermostat packages. The previous systems were to be removed by Schneller so we could exercise our option to return to the prior provider.The crews from Schneller Air, led by Tim Diss were extremely professional, clean, neat, organized and had great attention to detail. They had booties on their feet and protected all our hardwood floors wherever they were working or passing through from outside.They were extra careful removing the prior equipment knowing it would be returned for a value credit. Great experience. Colin was super helpful and got our heating system fixed. It was a pretty detailed job and required multiple trips to get parts and fix the damage that was done to our heating system by another Alexandria HVAC company. They come after hours, promptly and prepared to stay as long as they need to get things done. When something goes wrong or a mistake is made, they make up for it immediately and with extreme discounts.It's a family owned business and it shows. While it is true that the first week of 2018 was brutally cold and placed great demands on companies like Schneller, it is also true that good communications should be higher so as to avoid confusion. My situation was that I had a clogged bathroom sink drain so I called them explained the situation. They said they were slammed so I said that my situation was not critical like frozen pipes or furnace outages and that they could call me when they had a cancellation or a service call in the neighborhood. It has been 8 days so I went to Schuloff's and got a snake and cleared the line myself saving approx $165 net. Zip follow-up.

Eric was thorough, helpful with information I needed to have, but didn't have.He was also helpful in scheduling a second visit for a separate issue.
Eric came for the follow-up visit and checked the A/C refrigerant and added what was needed. Eric was training Sean today. Both were professional, thorough and informative.

Needing a new water heater pretty quickly, I contacted 5 companies to get some quotes. Mike (I believe) called me back within the hour and scheduled Dillon to come out the next day. I didn’t hear from the other companies at all - big bummer, but hey, I guess I’m buying it from these guys! Anyway, I got a text when Dillon was on his way with a link to a profile for him - it was nice knowing who’d be coming to the house and when to expect him. He arrived on time and with a smile, got straight to work! He happily looked at a few other things I needed work done on, answered all of my questions (I had a lot), explained everything in detail and with patience, and broke the pricing down for me which is always great when dropping an unexpected sum of money. He offered a fair price with a comfortable guarantee and we set the install for the next day. He arrived today ready to go, got to work, didn’t “need” anything from us even though we asked him a million times. Before leaving, he made sure I knew what was what and how to use it if needed. He never seemed to feel rushed even though I know there was another job to do after he finished ours. Dillon is young, experienced, professional, knowledgeable, polite, and did great work for us today! I would absolutely use this company again, in fact, they’ll be back Monday to install a new garbage disposal.

My parents referred this company! Joe came out for a quote yesterday and was great! Super friendly and knowledgeable! He explained all of our options and even discussed payment plans! He asked when we would like Install and said ASAP being the unit in our house we just bought was 26 years old and way past it’s life expectancy and a half ton too small. We were amazed he got us scheduled for the install for today, just a day after the initial quote! The installers were great as well! Overall we had a great experience and highly recommend their services!

Had to call them two different times in one day due to a mistake I made trying to fix my leaky shower myself and breaking a pipe in the wall. Both times they got to my house quicker than I expected, and Brad and Dillon were incredibly professional and kind, and were super patient with my small kids too! They fixed my mistakes quickly, and gave me honest quotes for what a couple different permanent repairs would cost. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

This was our first visit from Schneller & Knochelmann. We used to use another service, but after their rates jumped up and the service people kept pushing for more services (like a salesperson), we stopped service. We wanted to keep the bi-annual maintenance on our heater and AC, so after 3 years we found S & K. They were friendly, efficient, cost effective, and easy to work with. The service person (Colin) was friendly and did a thorough job.

Today Spencer came to the house and did a full inspection and maintenance on my heater. Explained all the checkpoints, and the one issue he found that we agreed could wait until spring. Great service, as usual!Update: new sump and backup installed. Bradley and the guys did the install and showed me everything. Excellt work!Was having concerns about my sump pump. Bradley came to the house to inspect it. He answered all of my questions and we agreed that the pump needs fixing and to replace the backup. I got an estimate, the parts are ordered, and the work will be done next week. (Not an emergency so all is well).

Caleb was great!! He was very polite, professional, explained everything; very knowledgeable. I would ask for him specifically again.

Leaking sink. Showed on time, looked things over. Did not have all that he needed on his truck. Came back the following day, installed new piping and sink baskets, cleaned up, had job completed in hour and a half. Unfortunately the line to the dishwasher being tightened didn't resolve that problem and when I informed the company of this, they had a senior tech, Chad, come out within 45 min. of phone call. He installed a whole new line. No more leaks. Very impressed with the technicians and the company as a whole. Would definitely use again.

Once again I am impressed with Schnellers courtesy, professionalism and technical knowledge. Just had Chris out to the house For our regular maintenance. Schneller is not interested in finding a way to charge you more for their service but seems to be very interested in having their customers be satisfied.

Called in this morning to get a quote on a new water heater. Was told they'd be out today. Called again just now, 9 hours later, to find out they scheduled me for Feb 22... They insisted on coming today over the phone even though I advised it isn't an emergency and could provide no timeframe for the visit. A bit upsetting.

Dillon was extremely professional throughout my entire experience. He was concerned for our Covid-19 safety and asked our preference for wearing a mask during his call. He was respectful of our property and wore protective covers over his shoes to avoid bringing outside dirt.I was pleased with how thorough he was explaining all of the work that would be done and warranty prior to our signing on to have our water heater replaced.Once we accepted the agreement Dillon was out the next day to install our new hot water heater.Dillon went above and beyond for us and I appreciate his diligence through completion.

Didn’t use them but charging $725/hr to plumb a gas line which involved running 3.5’ of pipe from an elbow to a T plus shutoff valve is insanity. I’m certain the plumber maybe gets 10% at best of this pay. I’ll go for a real plumber not an HVAC company since my other quotes were 1/3 the price.

I just bought and am renovating a house with a very old sump pump... Dillon performed necessary maintenance on the pump to make sure that, although the equipment is old and will probably need replacing sooner rather than later, everything was in working order. He was very patient and polite in explaining all the options and services.

Have been a customer for years, always satisfied with prompt professional service. I forgot to renew my service plan last year and Caleb was able to get me on a monthly plan so I wouldn't have to worry about it and let my AC get all gunked up again. Highly recommend.

The sales rep responded to our request for an estimate in a timely and professional manner. He arrived on time and was very thorough as he did an assessment of our home. Once he had gathered his information, which took about 45 minutes, he presented three very good options for us to consider. We always get three estimates when making a major purchase and the only reason we did not go with Schneller is because we preferred a different product than what they had to offer. Up until the point where we found the preferred product we were comfortable with going with Schneller.

Every encounter I've had with people from Schneller & Knochelmann have been satisfying. First & foremost, I believe they are telling me the truth about my systems. The work needed is always done promptly and they never leave a mess behind.

Schiller and Knochelmann did a great job of pulling the toilet, installing a new seal and reinstalling toilet. Dillon the serviceman worked fast and cleaned up the area afterwards. He presented himself in a courteous and professional manner and said to call immediately if any leak showed up. The cost was higher than I anticipated but I am sure it was in line with other plumbers.

Came out and was a great experience reviewing our current system and recommendations for alternatives, including even suggesting not to go with a more expensive system since we most likely wouldn't get enough return/value from it. Haven't finalized yet but strongly considering using them for our replacement of AC and heat.We had them install the AC and furnace, great install team of Mark and Tyler. Professional and efficient.
