Like some of you, perhaps, I remember the Roto-Rooter jingle on TV commercials from my childhood. I thought they handled only drain and sewer problems. I was wrong; they handle much more. Roto-Rooter provides full-service plumbing repair and water damage clean up, as well as sewer and drain service – for both residential and commercial customers.I am in the process of renovating my town home and needed to have a 25-year old washer/dryer combo unit removed from an unbelievably small and tight spot. The appliance company refused to take the machine away because the water valves that feed the washer were outdated and leaky. I reached out to a handyman friend who suggested I call Roto-Rooter. I made the call and they had a technician at my home in just over one hour. That is the fastest service call of any kind that I’ve ever had! There was no extra charge for the speedy service call.Armion (#601), a 20+ year plumbing expert was very professional, friendly, provided me with a written estimate and was prepared to do the job on the spot! He clearly explained everything in advance and then confirmed with me every step of the way. He was equipped and able to handle anything! I felt confident the work would be done correctly the first time.The job required a portion of dry wall be cut away to get to the old valves and then the new pipes had to be soldered in place. Armion was able to do it all and in a short amount of time. I enjoyed talking with him and learned a lot during the process.I had a very positive experience and only have good things to share about the service I received. I will definitely be calling Roto-Rooter in the future for any and all plumbing issues I have and will refer them to all of my family and friends as well. Call them, you will be glad you did!

We appreciated that they were effective communicators and thoughtfully walked me through our plumbing issues at a basic level so that I could better understand our possible solutions. After having several plumbers come and be convinced that I needed to excavate and replace a section of my main line because there was a downspout gutter in there...Jesus listened and then calmly walked to the site (outside by side of our house), saw the patched area on the sidewalk (where he thought the gutter was coming from), and opened it up and REMOVED it in less than 20 minutes.

Easily saved me $5K or more from having to break concrete, dig, replace pipe etc. Thank you Jesus!

Pete and Noah make a great team! Very friendly, patient and explained everything. They gave us a free estimate before moving forward which I really appreciated. They fixed the issue within minutes!

Summary: Felt misled and bait-and-switched by “free estimate” promise. Charged $79.99 “service charge” because tech “touched something”. Took 10 days and 3 calls to finally speak to manager who stood by charge.My faucet takes a long time for the water to get hot. Before making the appointment, I asked to confirm something along the lines of “so if they don’t do anything then its free?” and they said yes. I was very surprised at the end of the visit to be hit with a $79.99 service charge.The tech visually inspected the sink area and the water heater area. He temporarily turned the water heater temperature dial up before realizing that wasn’t an issue (he did not wait long enough for the water to get hot at the faucet). In the end, there was no work to be done. Nothing could be done outside of re-piping with a hot water return that would improve things, so there was no simple problem to fix. I was not given an estimate for that re-piping work because the tech said that would require a $180(?) diagnostic charge (so much for a free estimate).It seems like the temporary adjustment of the water heater dial (and maybe touching the faucet?) was the difference between a free estimate and a $79.99 service charge.A manager never called me back after leaving two messages. On the tenth day, a manager happened to answer the phone. She looked over the tech’s notes and stood by the charge. She said something about “new girls” being the reason she or another manager never called me back.If you’re looking for a “free estimate”, make sure to ask the tech what actions convert that into a service/diagnostic charge.

Walter and his staff did a top notch, speedy and professional job on repairing, replacing, unclogging the old galvanized pipe of my kitchen and his staff (Sorry, I forgot his name but great quiet guy) even fixed the hot water issue. Most houses in Beverly like mine are over one hundred years old. The previous plumber sent by the home warranty was unable to fix it while Walter and his staff was done within an hour and half. I had hired other plumbers including Roto Rooter (that was a nightmare) and no one compared to the professional job done by Walter and his staff. I definitely found a plumber I can trust and will call again. Walter thrives to put his reputation as a trusted plumbing company on the line to give one hundred percent customer satisfaction!
