Jimmy was on-time and did a truly professional job. He explained what he was doing removed the old and installed the new toilet and stayed a bit longer to make sure there were no leaks from an older valve. I had a great experience with Jimmy at Rocket Plumbing in Chicago. I'd initially inquired on Yelp and was impressed with their responsiveness. I heard right back and was able to schedule an appointment next day. They were upfront about pricing and flexible with scheduling. Jimmy was right on time, very professional and efficient. He diagnosed the source of my leak and outlined the steps to repair the problem. Again, the fees were very transparent. He even cleaned up before he headed out. I'd recommend Rocket and Jimmy, in particular, to anyone.

I’ve worked with Rocket Plumbing a few times now, to fix a runny toilet, install a new water filler faucet, install a new kitchen faucet, and install a water shutoff valve. Rocket has been great with scheduling a timely appointment, being true to their estimate, and performing good work. We’ve worked with the same specific plumber, Luis, each time and he’s done great work while being very considerate of our home and taking the time to explain everything. They’ve returned a couple times to adjust some things after the initial install and did so rapidly and without additional charges. Would recommend them.

Rocket Plumbing is the best! Each person was totally responsive and professional every step of the way. We were on a tight timeline for our Kitchen Remodel project. We had the sink piping prepped and had copper piping installed for water delivery to a refrigerator on the other side of the kitchen from the sink. From the day of the quote (Dan the supervisor was awesome, explaining everything and getting a quote to use formally in a matter of minutes) to completion of the project was 48 hours. When there was a valve problem in the condo complex, Dan the supervisor was called and came out in a timely manner to provide his expertise! Eric the plumber worked diligently and professionally to complete the work. Another Eric at dispatch was spot on with timely communication at every phase! I called in to Rocket plumbing after my main sewer line water started backing up in my laundry room and bathroom. I spoke to the manager Danny who provided me with excellent Customer service and he was able to get someone out to me within the hour. Jimmy was the plumber on site and he got the job done quickly while providing great service. From this experience I will continue using rocket plumbing for all my future plumbing needs. I honestly cannot rave enough about my great experience with Rocket Plumbing! My service tech was Jimmy and he was an absolute life saver. Before I even get into the experience, I love the fact that you can track where and how far with an ETA of when the service technician is to arrive (this was a godsend with a newborn at home). Once Jimmy arrived as indicated, he took his calculated time to see where the issue at hand was. My issue, that was thankfully resolved, was a floor drain overflowing. Jimmy was able to identify where the clean out was and cleared out the obstruction. They even have the option of a live camera feed within your pipes to see how extent the damage could be which I completely jumped on for piece of mind (roots, etc.) All I can say is I very likely did the same thing as you when faced with this issue and did a mad dash to Home Depot when the flooding occurred. Simply put, sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and call a professional which Jimmy and Rocket Plumbing was for me and my family. You will not be disappointed.

You know, it's one thing to have to call and schedule appointments with multiple companies to receive estimates for work when it involves aesthetics to your home - fence jobs, landscaping, etc. It's another thing when you're calling a company to rely on their services for a necessary/emergency home repair. We called Rocket in early February when we were experiencing sump pump/ejector/sewage problems. The plumber, whose name I won't fully publish, but will refer to as G, talked up his experience and knowledge, as well as his family's long history of being plumbers. G quoted us as needing a new check valve - at the minimum. There were two other options that included a new sump system, and a fully new flood protection system. Lastly, which wasn't included in our many quotes, we could also have a fully re-routed sump hose/drain system installed out front.... to the tune of THOUSANDS. As we are under a lifetime warranty with our basement flood protection company, I called them to come out and take a look. First off, our check valves are in place and working. Second off, G never once opened/looked into or addressed our catch basin. I'm not sure he even knew we had one. He never mentioned routing/rooting our sewage line for a clog, nor the fact that it could be a busted line. He didn't mention potentially using a camera probe to find the aforementioned. No, instead, G suggested three fixes that weren't only unnecessary, but also would not have addressed nor fixed our problem. I am trying not to think that we were being bamboozled/taken advantage of.... Sadly, I can't give a one star review for one person at a company, because I'm sure Rocket likely does employ competent plumbers - and I don't want to turn anyone away from hiring those competent plumbers. However, this guy wasn't one of them - and, frankly, in the future, G might want to re-think touting his skills when said skills seem to be few and far between.

Needed urgent help to fix an active leak in the home. Called multiple places that were not responsive but Geoff and his team were fast, professional and got the job done! They were able to walk me through some tips as well. They are friendly and care about their customers. Definitely will recommend to friends and neighbors.

Louis is great. He did an initial large repair on our sewer stack when we first moved in and his skill saved us a LOT of money. He came recently and replaced our old outdoor spigots and installed shut off valves and installed a new toilet. He’s prompt, professional and knowledgeable.

Someone called me representing the company and said they must get 300 dollars right then over the phone, before they came out. I asked could I give cash when the worker arrived and was told no he needed a credit card payment now over the phone. This made me very uncomfortable and not want to work with this company. Why would I give money before anyone even arrive? I could have gave cash or called and paid when he got here. I don't know him to trust once he get my information he was going to arrive and how would I have gotten a receipt proving my payment. It's already frustrating that there is a plumbing issue companies shouldn't want to take advantage or stress the customer even more. To make matters worse he told me someone would call me to make an appointment since I didn't want to pay the money and no one never called. I will be using a different company

We had hot water coming from our cold faucets throughout the house. Jeff came in and immediately figured out the problem based on his experience and fixed within 30 minutes. They’ve done work for us in the past and are always really great. You should use these guys always.

Geoff came and gave me an honest assessment of my failed backup battery. Rather than just replace the battery and invertor, Geoff gave me a whole new system with a battery backup for only a little bit more than it would have cost to replace the original battery/invertor. I trusted his dad who always worked on my house and now it’s great to see that Geoff can help me when I need it and I know I’m getting the best advice and the best deal.

My husband used this company for his restaurant. The gentlemen who he spoke to said he would show camera footage through the all the piping and water jet. Upon arrival the gentlemen brought out a descaler only and said this will take care of the job. After descaling one drain in less than 30 minutes, he said we are done and my husband told him you said you would water jet and show me the footage everywhere. He water jetted for a few minutes and then showed footage from one spot. Then my husband wrote a check and he left.

Prior to him leaving my husband told him there’s a putrid smell coming from the pipe you descaled. He said pour some bleach/degreaser and it’ll be gone soon.

It has been a significant amount of time, I can’t recall how long exactly, I would say a year and the smell has never EVER left especially if the dish washer sink is used which is often. Customers continue to remind my husband about a smell once they enter from time to time.

My husband was very thankful for the initial problem being solved. The initial problem was the drain kept backing up whenever the dish washer sink was used. This drain is located near the customers register towards the entrance where they first walk in AND order from.

I would give this business a 10 star review if I could for the initial problem being solved but the aftermath is something I still deal with whenever I visit the business and am consistently reminded of it

I called this morning on my way to work not really sure if I had a bathroom sink issue(the pressure was very low and working sporadically) or an underground leak. I was able to get an appointment the SAME DAY.

My plumber, Mike, called me to let me know he was on his way and also to get a more detailed synopsis of the situation. He was so professional and courteous. He let me know he'd call me after he checked everything out.

As promised, he called to let me know what was going on and actually FIXED the problem with a minor adjustment free of charge. He let me know how he knew there wasn't an underground water leak and notified me of the slower draining pipe now that the faucet was fixed. He didn't pressure me to do anything but recommended rodding out the pipe so it wouldn't be an issue. He let me know of coupons that were available and left the house in as good of a condition as he came in. I will 1,000,000% be using this company for all of my plumbing issues in the future and recommended them to anyone I know who needs plumbing assistance.

He also presents different options to handle a situation and gives his personal recommendation for what would be best for my situation. In all, he’s a really great guy who makes it a point to do great work when people need him the most. Nick and Nick did an outstanding job of helping us determine the best approach to handling the necessary repairs in our condo. We decided to replace the bathroom faucets (instead of replace valves) and we were very happy with the many discounts that were offered if we wanted to do it right. Our hot water tank was around 25 years old, so definitely in need of replacement. We contacted Rocket Plumbing, a firm we have used many times in the past. We were very, very pleased with the quality of the new Bradford White 50-gallon tank. And, the installation by Louis and Joel was done professionally and with great care. They had to replace some of the supply and return pipes and did a great job. Rocket Plumbing is a first class company.

After nine years, my water heater finally collapsed. I got in touch with four plumbing companies and went with Rocket Plumbing because I had a good feeling about them from the get-go. Although their quote was (slightly) higher, the manager made a considerate accommodation on my behalf, which I appreciate. I am glad I went with them because the work was superb. I would like to thank specifically Derrick, the Customer Service manager, Fred, who supervised the job and dropped by my place to make sure everything went smoothly, which it did, and especially, Luis and Mike, who did the actual work. I will use Rocket Plumbing for my all of my needs from now on, particularly the drainage that I should have done once a year to help prolong the life of the tank. Thank you. A+++.

Jimmy was on time, very communicative and answered all of my questions. We have had him out on 2 separate occasions for our sewer and both times he went above and beyond to make sure the issue was fixed and that we were given all the information we needed. The pricing is upfront and fair. They are the only place I call now when I have any plumbing needs.

Jimmy knew exactly how to fix my kitchen sink drainage problem. He replaced a clogged, galvanized steel pipe with PVC, re-pitched an existing PVC pipe and replaced an outdated P-trap with a Y drain connection. Water now drains easily in my kitchen sink. Needless to say, this was a very messy job as it involved years and years of accumulated grease and food waste. Jimmy left the work site cleaner than he found it. I have used Rocket Plumbing in the past and will continue to do so in the future. They never disappoint.

We used Rocket Plumbing to perform a sewer scope during the inspection process of buying a home. They were great! It was easy to schedule, and they let us know our various options regarding fixing the issue and what would be most cost-effective for us. We have been using Rocket Plumbing since 2017, and we’re very satisfied with their responsiveness and the quality of their work. We’re particularly happy with Danny Long. He makes every effort to come out as soon as possible, clearly explains the work necessary, and then bills us fairly for what he’s done. His work is always high quality, and we can rely on the repairs that he’s done. Having the plumbing system go out in the house is stressful, but knowing that Danny and Rocket Plumbing are there improves a difficult situation.

A+ service. Rocket made a potentially unpleasant experience easy. My water heater was leaking, needed replacement. I received a return phone call 30 minutes after leaving a message at Rocket, and scheduled an appointment for an 8-9am window the next morning. Ryan and Ze arrived at 8:00am sharp, we discussed a quote and they left to go buy a water heater. Several hours later they were DONE, new water heater installed. Ze and Ryan were professional and courteous but also personable and friendly. I am very satisfied, intend to use Rocket again the next time I need plumbing work.

Hot water heater went on Sunday, found Rocket and sent an inquiry in that evening. I got a call from the team by 8 AM the next morning and they dispatched Jake and Tyler to my unit. As with all service businesses they give you a window to come by and they exceeded that by getting there before the allotted time frame. I needed a full hot water heater replacement and parts were ordered and tank was installed and hot water back on by 9 AM Tuesday. More importantly Jake from the team communicated each step of the project via call/text and everything including signing off on the work and payment was done simply online. I would highly recommend the Rocket team.

I had toilet work done in late August. All went perfectly. During the payment, I was charged sigqnificantly more than what I was quoted - over $1200!
I called the company back multiple times to get an itemized recipe to have anyone make sense of it. Finally spoke with a manager who agreed that the price I paid did not make sense. I haven’t heard back from them. It’s been over two weeks. I do not recommend this company. (I look forward to revising or deleting this review if they open lines of communication to solve the problem)

I have been calling for 2 hours trying to reach someone to help me with my plumbing issue. Every other plumber I called to schedule a quote/appt is picking up right away! This si really frustrating as I would like to get this fixed as soon as possible.

I was hesitant at first because of the distance between my home in the Western suburbs and where they're located in the city, however, they made it work! I had a sewer line backup last night where dirty water was coming up my basement toilet and running over the brim. The water came up over the brim half hour after I had given up plunging for the previous hour the water that didn't go down, hence my clue as to why the main sewer line was backed up.

I reached out to someone there. The dispatcher gave me a call back immediately. He scheduled a time and told me to expect a call from Mike. Mike gave me a call shortly after and told me he'd be here by the top of the hour. He and his partner, Peter, was 15 minutes early. I appreciated that.

I wanted to learn about what he was doing, as I like learning new things. He didn't mind me standing there and asking questions and did so with a great attitude and a smile. In about an hour or so, he was able to not only rod out space for water to flow to the sewer, but he was able to run a tool down the line to clear the four or five root balls out of the line. He ran a camera to confirm what was down there before removing them and he ran a camera after.

The bill was right, but I've also always understood the perspective of quality and value over quantity, as previous plumbers just rodded the pipe, which is simply a band-aid to cover a bigger issue, whereas Rocket Plumbing provided the quality and value. Along with what I paid, there is a two year warranty to warrant their work in case I need them to come out to resolve the same matter.

I have an elderly aunt that lives alone in Lombard, and she had a MAJORplumbing issue. Thankfully the true professionals at Rocket Plumbing were around to save the day. The plumber was polite, professional and completed the job quickly at a reasonable price. I definitely recommend!

It was time to get a new water heater so I called Rocket Plumbing to get a quote. From the initial visit to give me an estimate to the actual installation, it was A++ service. On a very busy Saturday, I suddenly discovered our basement was flooded by our old, huge water heater. I've been working with Rocket Plumbing for the past few years for various commercial restroom plumbing issues. I've probably made around 4 to 6 service calls per year. The entire crew communicates exceptionally well and they deliver consistently. They have strong warranties behind all their work. (I've had to do a call back for a job, and they responded with urgency and made corrections within hours.)

Every office receptionist i've spoken to has been helpful. And every single service member that showed up on site has been exceptionally professional. Two gentlemen, truly capable guys, willing, relatable and smart, came in and replaced my drippy faucet with the new one I bought from Home Depot and thought I might install myself. Sounds simple but the building is old and the water source and connections archaic. No way I could have done it. While working they noticed corrosion on a sink drain pipe and suggested it would need replacement soon. I said how much and then, go ahead. During removal, the pipe gave way underneath leaving a thumb size hole. Thank goodness it didn't happen while running the disposal the next day! Saved a bunch. Thanks Rocket!

We have had a clogged sewer pipe for over 2 years. I can't tell you the number of plumbers we had come out to try to fix the issue and they just couldn't get all the root balls out. Others tried to scare us into spending thousands. Mike came in and got all 4 root balls removed in about 3 hours and restored flow out to the main sewer. While I know it was a difficult job, he patiently walked us through everything he was doing and videoed along the way. He did what no one else was able to do for us at a VERY reasonable price. I can't recommend enough!

Not sure if this guy works at this location, but we were moving into a new apartment where the toilets weren't working. Anthony, the man who came to the rescue, did a phenomenal job fixing the situation. He was very professional and clean, which is rare when it comes to dealing with sewerage. Thanks again!

Called Rocket Plumbing with an emergency - a leaking bathroom tub faucet. Although they were initially booked for same-day service, they were able to slot me in when someone cancelled. I am so thankful that not only did they fix the faucet, they explained the problem w/o being condescending, checked out something extra I hadn't initially thought to ask about, and were flexible and friendly. Great service! This is the second time I have used RP due to the amazing service and excellent work done during the first visit.

I simply can not say enough how happy I am that I called Rocket Plumbing. I have had plumbing issues with our wellness clinic on Irving Park for over 15 years. I've had roto rooter, power plumbing, and a few other companies come out and charge a lot, but never truly fixed the problem. I called Rocket Pluming this week on an emergency call when our toilet was overflowing because of a combination of issues with old pipes, roots, 90 turns that most machines can't rout, etc.....these guys did their job.....came out within 30 minutes of may call, and worked diligently for over 4 hours until problem was resolved. Very kind, and intelligent young men. I was concerned about their experience level, as they looked 30 or younger, but boy did they get the job done! Thanks so much gentlemen!

I needed a plumber ASAP, the same day. My kitchen drain was horribly clogged from something my friends had done preparing food earlier that day. I called and they answered on the second ring and said they could be out in a hour. I have never in all my years had a plumber respond so quickly to such a request! I would highly recommend this plumbing service to anyone. They did a fantastic job and left no mess. Back to using my sink! :)

Had 2 broken outside faucets replaced. Both required
soldering (outside my skill level) and working in some
tight quarters. Mike did an excellent job, installing
inside shut off valves (that I did not have before) and
two quality faucets. Price for both faucets was very
reasonable. Very happy with the work and will
definitely call them again for my future needs.

My condominium association has used Rocket Plumbing in the past with mediocre results. Not particularly responsive, but they got the job done in the end.
The last time out they told me I probably needed to replace a major pipe between two units in our building. They pulled the toilet out (so it couldn’t be used) then didn’t follow up as they promised to. After waiting for 2 weeks (it was a guest bathroom), I called another plumber who fixed the problem in less than an hour. It was a straight forward repair.
Beware, some folks at Rocket may be ok, but it seems like some of their workers are not above making up work to overcharge their customers. I contacted Rocket before leaving this review. After speaking with an employee and a dispatcher, the owner did not contact me before close of business that day (I was told he was on a job).

I called Rocket Plumbing today because my shower was leaking into my downstairs neighbor's apartment. They were able to come out within a couple of hours, assess, and fix the problem quickly. They didn't even need to go into my neighbor's apartment. It was simply a rubber seal that had rotted. I had previously called a different plumber who came out didn't even look at my shower, and just said let us know when your neighbor is home we will need to cut into their dry wall. So glad I followed my gut and called Rocket Plumbing, and didn't go through all of that! Nick who was our technician did a fabulous job!

They were great and worked out a schedule to come to our home ASAP to check out our issue. Would definitely call again.

Hiring a plumber can be daunting and expensive. With Rocket Plumbing, you get comparable prices and excellent service. Tony has done three jobs for me so far and each time he's been timely, professional, friendly, and proficient. Furthermore, all needs and repairs were explained to me clearly and then demonstrated. We have used Rocket no less than half a dozen times over the last few years for our condo in downtown Chicago. They have repaired everything from leaking shower pans (which required cutting out part of the downstairs ceiling & multiple visits to resolve the source issue) to replacing a failing ejector pump. Always on time, efficient, professional and easy to deal with - we call them first for any plumbing issues and have referred to friends as well. While plumbing issues are a headache, we always know Rocket will make it as painless as possible to resolve!

My water heater pilot kept going out so I called Rocket. Like a Rocket, Sam was here in like 20 mins to evaluate the sitch. He gave me options and went through each one. I called around and Sam's quote was pretty competitive but I found one other guy with a slightly lower quote. So I hit Sam up and he matched it no problem. Booking was easy and Sam and Geoffrey showed up on time with my new heater. They trudged it up to the 3rd floor in 15 degree weather with no worries. My old heater was in a closest that was too small to even get the thing out but it didnt faze Sam. There was also some piping work that some other guys might have charged extra but not this guy. Water heater installed in a few hours and I'm back to the peace of mind of hot showers for the wife and I.

I highly recommend these guys and would use again.

The guys at Rocket Plumbing are first class in every way. My wife and I were remodeling one of the units in our building that required moving some of the pipes around as well as replacing some old galvanized steel water lines in the basement. Sam and Geoff were here working diligently all day and came back promptly the following day to finish up the work they still had left to do. They worked so well as a team to quickly and efficiently finish the project. Sam was polite, knowledgable, very skilled at his craft and took the time to explain all that he was doing. Geoff was equally as polite, very attentive, and without him the project would not have gone as smoothly as it did! Even Brian, the owner, even came by to say hi and make sure things were going well. We won't be going with anyone but Rocket Plumbing from here on out.

We bought an very old house and have literally had six different plumbing companies out to estimate various repairs in the last month. Anthony at Rocket Plumbing is BY FAR the most knowledgeable, the most skilled and the most communicative of any of the others. We've learned a lot about our house and feel 100 percent comfortable with Anthony. He has installed a kitchen sink in a space where a giant radiator blocked access to the counter, he's installed a water shut off value despite the water not turning off and he has rodded our main line. We are so thrilled we found Anthony and Rocket Plumbing!

I had a dishwasher recently installed with an extended hose. There was additional cost due to parts which I understand from the extended hose and anchors. The team said they would remove the lazy Susan to anchor the hoses in place with new anchors. They did not take out the lazy Susan to anchor the hoses and just re-used the old anchors and screws. Re-using the old anchors in the same position as they were previously in did not hold the hoses in place and caused the lazy Susan to come in contact with the hoses. Not a major deal but to anchor the hoses I had to go to Home Depot to get anchors and screws while also taking out the lazy Susan. All in took about an hour of time to disassemble and assemble everything. I went with rocket knowing they were a little more expensive but expected better service due to the high price. Don’t recommend.

Found out that over the deep freeze from winter my “frost proof” outdoor spigot had frozen causing the pipe to burst. But didn’t leak until I opened the spigot. Rocket Plumbing was very responsive sending out Luis only a couple hours after calling. He fixed the pipe and added a shut-off valve in just a couple hours. Great service!!

Mike and the gang from Rocket Plumbing are the best in the business. I've had them here at my Jefferson Park home for three repairs, including a check valve installation, and, most recently, a sewer line repair. Each time they've done excellent work at a fair price, have been communicative and informative, and have never tried to upsell unnecessary services. As a licensed home inspector here in Chicago, I have high standards for the contractors I work with, and these guys definitely deliver, time and time again. Whenever my home inspection clients ask for a plumbing recommendation, I always tell them to call Rocket.

This is the third time I've used rocket plumbing and i will be using them in the future as well. I've worked with the two Mike's and Jimmy and all three of them have been wonderful. Good communications, punctual, professional. I know folks are always hesitant to call up contractors to work on their home, but it's nice to know a good plumbing company you can count on when you have issues with your pipes.
