Best Plumbing Backup in Chicago IL

I often rely on Roto Rooter because they always do a great job. On the other hand, they are so expensive I always wonder if I made a mistake. They charged us $700 to replace the handle on our shower!

Jan is a skilled plumber. Gave me a preliminary diagnosis on my issue with my basement toilet and shower drain backing up. Arrived on time on the day he was scheduled to come by and fixed the issue I had. Cleaned the ejector pit, that was full of roots, and installed a new ejector pump. This solved my issue. Competent, on time, and able to fix my somewhat complex plumbing issue on the first try. Happy

John Love (the plumber and owner) was on time, professional and very knowledgeable. We found him on Google bc of his good reviews- decided to give him a try- the reviews are accurate! John showed up on time, communication was clear throughout the process and he immediately found the old rotting pipe within the ceiling of our basement- it was very apparent he has a lot of experience working with older homes just like our 1916 Bungalow. He did a thorough job, kept the basement and work area spotless, even called the next day to make sure we were satisfied with his job. We will definitely be using Love’s Plumbing again for our plumbing needs! Very fair pricing and up front about everything

Odd experience. The owner initially was very communicative in scheduling time to come out to my property, plus thoroughly discussing with me my plumbing issues the following couple of days, but then went ghost. Said he would follow-up with an estimate that same evening, but no text back, callback, or anything—even after repeated requests. Just say you don’t want the job (or incapable of doing it) if that’s the case. Awful way to conduct business. This was a fairly large plumbing job, by the way.

During the installation process, Sam was very meticulous, providing a seamless experience. Sam was WONDERFUL, he was clean, efficient and wore his mask and shoe booties without me even asking. He took the time to answer all my repetitive questions and I felt confident he truly loved this business and wanted to look out for his customers best interests. I will absolutely call this company again if I run into trouble but that won't be for a long time because it was finally fixed right! We've used Doc Mechanical a few times now for various plumbing issues in our home. I appreciate how professional and neat they are but also how they explain things to us non-plumbers! We also appreciate their honesty and while I don't have a whole lot to compare to, I believe their pricing is affordable. Hopefully we won't need to use them for a while but will definitely call them when needed!

I haven't seen a worst service of this kind ever. The entire staff is super-rude, especially the owner, they don't pick up the call and if they choose to call back, they take their own sweet time , sometimes 3-4 days.Then, the owner itself is not on the same page with their own plumber. In the end, they didn't do anything to fix the issue and eventually had to hire another plumbing service after wasting whole month with them.Avoid them as much as you can.
