They ruined my ceiling and refuse to accept responsibility.
As you can see from the pictures: before they came (first one), I had sent a picture to my handyman to ask him to sand, spackle and paint (a $150 job). Now, someone has to come cut out my ceiling and replace the plaster (a $2,500 job).
The guys who came were very nice and proceeded to rod our toilets but when they went to do the one upstairs, they didn’t drain the tank or the bowl (gallons and gallons of water) so, when they moved it to get at the drain, water went all over the bathroom floor into every crack. My wife saw toilet water running down the ceiling and kitchen walls below and went to ask what was happening (thank god she saw it). Only then did they ask for towels and start to mitigate how much water had gotten away from them. By then, the damage was done. Now we have several cracks in our ceiling and one is a hazard- the light doesn’t work and it looks like it could fall down at any moment. At first the ceiling didn’t seem so bad but after the water settled in and soaked the plaster over the course of a week or so, it was clear real damage had been done. I contacted the owner and he denied all responsibility (and wasn’t nice about it either- refused to come look at, said they’d done nothing wrong), he even said it was there before from something I did. Well, there’s clearly a difference between what was there before and after his guys did the job. I would have my insurance cover it but it’s smaller than my deductible.

I’m fine with the bill for the original service being $500 more than I was quoted. If the crack in the ceiling was a simple spackle and paint job as it was before, I would be fine with that too. I just would have liked them to accept responsibility and use their insurance to cover their mistake. That’s what insurance is for.

We've used so many plumbing companies over the years, and my wife and I are so relieved we've finally found CJ Plumbing, because we feel like they can be trusted, and we don't need to shop around any more. Dmitry offered to install two new faucets THE SAME DAY if I needed. I didn't, so he sent Lenny out the next morning. Their price was significantly lower than the two other estimates we received from other plumbers. Lenny was at the door right at 7AM, as agreed. He's an absolute professional, super efficient, tidy, and did a great job.
We'll be using CJ as our plumbers from now on! Thanks, guys!

Great service, quality and price! We had an emergency sewer back up and needed to replace 8ft of cracked clay pipe. Called CJ Plumbing late on Tuesday, the week of Thanksgiving, and he had Tylers Underground come out the next morning and replace everything for a great price. He checked in throughout the day to make sure things were going well and I was happy. Then on top of all of that he had a plumber come out within 15 minutes to help us with a completely separate issue. Highly recommend CJ Plumbing!

I reached out to the company this morning and Dmitry responded soon after. Before working with him we received a few different quotes and when we had a free consultation with him, we felt he seemed the most knowledgeable and communicative with what work needed to be done to receive the best results. Called off his personal cell phone, asked what was going on and was able to dispatch Dmitry within the next hour! Dmitry was knowledge, kind, helpful and very informative! CJ Plumbing was a pleasure to work with. I first spoke with Dimetry over the phone to discuss a leaky toilet and a garbage disposal that stopped working. He had a wealth of knowledge that actually enabled me to restart my garbabe disposal and not have to replace it. His team member Lenny, then came out the next day to repair our leaky toilet, and it turned out our toilet's wax ring hadn't been replaced in years, it wasn't even a wax ring, but putty which no one uses any more. He knew exactly what do to and had us up and running in no time. The team is very professional and responsive and real experts in the field. I will be hiring them again. Dmitry called immediately about my leaking kitchen faucet; Lenny showed up on time the same day, inspected and explained the issue. They did all the leg work in finding a new replacement faucet, obtaining my approval, and purchasing it. At the second visit, Lenny replaced the faucet and fixed the leak! Working with the Dmitry's (both the owner and the plumber who came today) was great. Super knowledgable and Dmitry (the owner) told me he was a state inspector for plumbing. Doesn't hurt to have the person fixing your systems to be someone who checks others' work!

We had a multitude of problems - a body spray shower head that wasn't working, a disconnected tub stopper, a floor drain in the laundry room that was stopped up, and the big project - adding in a backup battery-powered sump pump system.

Everything was repaired and is all in working order. Dmitry (the plumber who came today) was very kind and explained how the new sump pump system worked. Everything was clean and professional along the way.

As a bonus - we had a Grohe faucet that we inherited that had a bunch of scratch marks on it. Dmitry (the owner) connected us with a local Grohe rep and got us replacement parts free-of-charge!

First contact was with Dmitry to get an estimate. He was responsive, thorough, and honest in his estimate. He recommended that we start with a less expensive option to investigate a possible leak which seems to have been the right choice based on what was discovered after removing the upstairs toilet. Lenny who was the plumber who came to the house was punctual, thorough, and efficient. He started in the master bath and explained everything while taking pictures to follow up. He installed an extender and replaced the seal for one flat rate. We had some other smaller jobs and Lenny repaired what was needed within the time frame originally given and cleaned up everything. I would highly recommend CJ plumbing.

Don't look anywhere else for your plumbing needs. Our hot water went out on a Saturday afternoon. After calling around to try and get ahold of someone in our area, I tried calling CJ Plumbing and got a response right away. I was told someone could come out first thing on Sunday morning. This was shocking to me, as I assumed I wouldn't be able to get anyone until Monday. I am so thankful for Demitry at CJ Plumbing & Heating. I was in need of several small jobs in an older house that we are trying to renovate. Dmitri was professional, and made great recommendations for us during his initial walk through. Understanding I am on a tight budget, Dmitri was happy to help with the installation of our shower feed lines, fixing aleak that had been problematic. Further, his technician did an amazing job installing our new toilet and his workmanship for the new piping was pristine. CJ Plumbing responded immediately to our call to investigate a leaking water main. They sent a professional team who worked closely with us and the Village inspectors to replace the old broken lead pipe with a new copper one. Rapid and professional replacement. I highly recommend them!

CJ Plumbing did an outstanding job diagnosing and repairing a clogged roof drain on our school building. Our building is very old which meant the drain pipes were difficult to reach and work on. But these guys took care of the problem and were done within a day. CJ plumbing does excellent work and gets the job done quickly.

We used CJ Plumbing for some kitchen work. They came out the same day I called to check out what needed to be done, set up a time, and give a quote. Our countertops were delayed which then delayed the plumbing work on the stove and sink. They were still able to come back within 24 hours to do the work. Our stove had no gas shut off so they installed a shut off and connected the cooktop. The plumbing under the sink was all messed up, not up to code, and they did a phenomenal job correcting all the plumbing there as well. Not only efficient, but done very well. Will definitely have them come back for future plumbing work we need done.

I will make this full disclosure: I did not hire this company. I did contact them gave him issue, which was to replace an existing garbage disposal under sink. I was quoted $300 for 60 minutes of work. I researched further and used Home Advisor that same job was completed for $139 total time to complete 1 hour 10 minutes. Consumers we have to be diligent!!

So many great things to say about Demitri and his team. First they worked with me over the phone to figure out where the leak was coming from. Then they came out the same day, fixed the leak and CALLED after to check on things. Excellent experience!

As a residential general contractor, I have used a number of plumbing companies over the last thirty years. Usually, I have been less than satisfied with their work and responsiveness. For the last thirteen years, I have only used CJ Plumbing. Their skill, responsiveness, experience and price are unmatched. If I could give six stars, I would.

My bathtub water wasn’t going down as quickly as I’d hoped so after doing about 2 minutes of research, I decided to use a plastic drain snake I got off Amazon. I stuck about a ft in and when I tried pulling it out, it broke off inside. Turns out, you’re not supposed to use those in tubs... ay yi yi.

I called CJ Plumbing and Dmitry sent someone out the next day. I thought they’d have to open up the wall because the thing was so deep but they managed to get it out in no time. These guys are my go-to plumbers because they’re so quick and the work is good. Thank you again!

After my basement flooded from a very heavy rain, I was looking for a plumber to diagnose and fix the issue. I had previously called a variety of basement-flood companies and they all told me something different so this time I knew I needed to get an actual plumber.

A family friend recommended C&J Plumbing and Dmitry showed up that same day to have a look. He determined that the water came in from my sump pit/drain due to pump failure and replaced it with a stronger model. He also advised that a battery backup pump would be a good idea because if the power goes out during a storm, I could have another flood. The flooding completely killed my water heater as well which he replaced.

Despite most of Chicagoland dealing with major flooding, and my place being a relatively small job, he gave me his full attention and worked to resolve this issue in the span of a few days so that another rain wouldn’t get me. He was also super easy to reach and responded to both calls and texts ASAP. When all was said and done, the price he gave me for installing two brand new pumps was cheaper than the basement flood companies.

We just had a really hard rain last night and everything worked great, no flooding! Overall, I’m really happy with C&J Plumbing and I’ll call them again the next time something goes wrong.

We had a water tank explode last week. Called C&J and they had appeared within an hour, super professional and clean. While one plumber was working on disconnecting and removing the broken one, there was another team on the case of getting us a same day new one. I highly recommend this company without any reservation. It was a calming feeling knowing that this disaster was getting rectified so quickly. I can't even recall the last time when I received such stellar services.

Lenny showed up at my condo within an hour of the initial call. He was efficient, professional, and clearly very knowledgeable about the problem and what had to be done. Diagnosed the problem immediately (even given that my building's pipes are ancient) and fixed it immediately. He even cleaned up after himself and bleached my tub, leaving it cleaner than when we started. Hope he gets a raise! Phenomenal work.

I used CJ Plumbing for an emergency replacement of my water heater on a Sunday. My water heater had started leaking water out of nowhere on Sunday morning. I called and spoke with Dmitry in the morning by 4pm my water heater was replaced and working. They were extremely flexible and reasonable on price given that it was a Sunday. Dmitry (owner) called several times to insure pump size & capacity. He is knowledgeable and customer focused. The plumber wore protective gear & sanitized the work area and access doors. I can't imagine a better plumbing company. I first called them when water stopped draining down our kitchen sink. They came out, quickly diagnosed the problem, and cleared it. A few weeks later, when we noticed a leak coming from our closet ceiling, I called right away. They came out quickly again, diagnosed the exact problem, explained why the pipe had corroded, and repaired it with no time wasted.
